Ship Headcanons: Zeddison Edition

Who makes the first move and how? Canonically, it was love at first punch lol.  I think the real first move was Addison going over to the zombies’ table in the cafeteria, just to say hi.

Who is the most insecure and what makes them feel better?  Addison, for sure.  She’s always been taught to hide who she is underneath a wig and it’s hard to break away from something you’ve spent your entire life pretending.  She’s always hated people touching her wig, but somehow, this doesn’t apply to Zed touching her hair.  Whether he’s lazily playing with her short locks or fisting her hair as they makeout, he can’t keep his hands off her.

Who is the most romantic?  Zed!  He was so excited for their first date, even though he had to hide who he was.  Once they’re able to be themselves, he can’t stop doing all the things.  Holding Addison’s hand all the time, waving at her across the field during practice, leaving notes in her locker.

Who can’t keep their hands to themselves?  First of all, they’re kids, so there are clear boundaries to how far they’re willing to go.  That being said, Addison is always reaching for Zed’s hand.  Walking down the hall to class?  You better believe that Addi is leading her bf down the hall.  Out on a date around town?  Addison is the most Protective of her zombie, the tiny cheerleader usually has to be picked up and physically taken away from the threat.

Who says ‘I love you’ first?  ...spoilers.  

Who would they ask if they ever had a threesome?  They’re kids.  Second of all, what kind of question even is this?

What do they get up to on a night out?  Zombie mash.  Movies and long walks in the park.  Hanging out everywhere they want.

What do they like in bed?  They’re kids.  Cuddling.  Assuming they even get to be alone in each other’s room.

What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other?  The first time they were making out and Zed got an erection.

What two songs, two books and two luxury items do they take to a desert island?  ‘Someday’ and ‘Our Year’, I have no idea what kind of books kids are reading these days, and pompoms and a football.

What do they hide from one another?  Nothing.  They have the best relationship I’ve seen on tv in a long time, and it’s because they talk to each other and they’re honest.  There are things that they don’t discuss, but that’s because it’s something that doesn’t come up, not because they’re trying to hide it.

What first changes when it starts getting serious?  There are serious undertones to their relationship right from the start.  But when they start being open with their relationship, they are suddenly known across Seabrook.  Addison is now the Mayor’s daughter who is dating a zombie.  And there are people who can’t keep their opinions to themselves.

When do they realise they should get together?  During ‘Someday’. 

When one has a cold, what does the other do?  Do zombies get sick?  They’re kinda alive, kinda undead.  I don’t think Zed can get sick.  So it’s kinda terrifying when Addison gets a simple cold.  Zed’s completely overprotective, doing anything he can to alleviate her pain/uncomfortableness.

When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote?  They take turns.  Addison picks the most up-to-date pop culture films and Zed knows all the classics.

When the zombie apocalypse comes, how do they cope together?  Seeing as how the zombie apocalypse happened before either of them were born, this question is kinda unanswerable!  😂😂😂

When they find a time machine, where do they go?  I don’t think these kids would really want to leave the twenty-first century

When they fight, how do they make up?  They listen to each other.  They hear each other’s side of the argument and give each other space when needed.  Their fights always end up resolved within a few days, simply because they miss the other too much.

Where do they go on their first date?  Canonically, zombie mash.

Where do they go on holiday?  They stay in Seabrook.  The town hasn’t expressly made it illegal for zombies to travel out-of-state (or town for that matter), but there is the matter of being close to containment, just in case.

Where do they get nervous about going with one another?  As long as they’re together, they’re not nervous at all.

Where does their first kiss happen?  We were robbed in the movie.  The sequel has to have them kiss!  That said, I think that they have a few cheek kisses, forehead kisses, before their first proper kiss.  The first kiss... spoilers.

Where is their favourite place to be together?  Zombietown.  They can be themselves there.

Where do they first have sex?  CHILDREN!  Once they graduate high school, they head off to college.  They end up going to the same school (only by coincidence) and live in student housing.  It’s the end of the semester and things are finally starting to wind down.  They haven’t seen each other in a few days, always just missing the other, and they’ve barely talked.  It starts with slow kisses that become more drawn-out, lingering.  Addison’s housemates are still out and making out gets a little more intense as they move to her bedroom.

Why do they fight?  Usually, any fight they have is borne from their own insecurities.  When they’re going out, and Addison looks perfect, but she needs to run back to get her wig.  When they get home, and Addison knows she said ‘let them talk if they wanna’ but it’s every time they go out and they’re not even subtle when they say Zed’s dangerous behind their backs.

Why do they need to have a serious chat?  After Zed’s z-band goes offline, they have the fight of their lives.  Zed was so terrified that his zombie could have eaten her and she was too stubborn to accept the possibility.  After the fight, Zed explains how the Z-band functions in more detail and how it protects not only other people, but the zombie it’s attached to.

Why do their friends get annoyed with them?  They.  Are.  Saps.  Fools in Love.  Completely Head over Heels for each other.  At least if there was PDA they could have something to actually complain about.  But it’s just that they’re always there, Addison and Zed, sickeningly sweet.  Eliza claims that she has gotten a Very Real Toothache just by looking at them.

Why do they get jealous?  For Addison, it’s when the girls swarm her boyfriend, the star of the football team.  She knows that he actually hates the attention from them, but the sight of him across the football field when she’s in the middle of a routine always makes her green.  Zed, on the other hand, is possessive but that comes from having had to hide their relationship.

Why do they fall a little bit more in love?  Discovering the smallest details about each other.  Watching Zed playing with Zoey and Puppy.  Watching Addison become more confident rocking her natural hair.  Anything they do where they get to be their true selves.

Why does it work (or not work) between them?  They’re honest with each other.  They communicate.  They talk about their feelings and emotions, they talk about their families and friends, they talk about how football and cheer are going - nothing is intentionally hidden.
