Hello!! I just wanted to say that I ADORE your KI ocs!!! they're all so detailed and interesting! I'd love to know if you have anything that goes more into depth about their designs and what influenced them, cause I can tell you put so much thought into them!

(also I feel I have to mention this, but I have an oc named Arethusa as well! so seeing that one of yours was named that as well was a bit of a surprise lol)

i have this google doc explaining some of their personalities and in-universe origins, though that’s probably not what you’re asking for since there’s nothing in it about their influences and designs as characters, BUT i can still tell you what i remember thinking when i first made them!!

the concepts for asterie, linus, and raniris were just ‘i like stars, music, and rainbows. i’ll make kid icarus god ocs out of them’ and that was that. i think i was just so into my kiu kick at the time that my brain was ready to start spouting ocs at me i think asterie’s design was supposed to have a viridi-ish feel to it in the dress’ build? i actually don’t remember her inspiration too well sadly. linus’ design is based on an orchestra conductor, octavo from cadence of hyrule, and a bunch of music symbols i found online and just dotted onto his design. (i also originally concepted him as a villain, but that felt awkwardly written so i dropped it)

raniris is inspired by the actual greek goddess iris (her name is that + ‘rain’ without the I) and her design is based on wedding dresses, while the idea for dia came from iris’ golden wings, which i was inspired to turn into its own character as it would fit them being a sort of palutena & pit parallel. her design is also based on flower girls to go with raniris’ wedding dress!

the idea for zero came to me while listening to the kirby planet robobot ost and i just thought a digital pitthree clone would be a genius idea lol. his design is based on pit’s black alt from smash 4 (having silver and purple accents) while also looking somewhere in between pit and dark pit colour-wise, plus his outfit is sort of a modern/casual reinterpretation of pit and dark pit’s actual chitons.

arethusa literally came to me in 0.2 seconds while i was looking through the window one day watching the next door house which wasn’t finished yet getting soaked in the rain. i thought ‘what if there was a rain girl to go with phosphora being a lightning girl’ and then oops. HER design is based on phosphora’s with a more subdued, serious tone to it to go with her being the serious sister vs. phosphora being the energetic sister, and also minus the plants because i figure that’s probably just a viridi thing. there’s also their mother zephyra, goddess of storms, who i have not designed yet and god knows if i’ll ever get around to it

as for the skyworld angel citizens, they’re all from these separate characterisations i made up for fun imagining each of pit and dark pit’s alternate colours in smash being their own characters with their own history. those ideas went all over the place but arcis is green dark pit, leto is yellow pit, ethi is white dark pit, mynta is blue pit, and aui id purple dark pit. and i have more that never got past the scribble stage (but i’d like them to!!!)

apologies if that’s not as interesting or detailed as you were hoping, but it’s the best i’ve got!! especially in terms of their actual personalities because all i can say regarding that is they come to me in my dreams like a prophet receiving visions from an angry god. but thank you again for being interested enough to ask! ;w;

Who would you Fuck, Marry, Kill? Fuck Xander - Faith did it. Marry - Buffy. Buffy is the one. Buffy does the things nobody else will. Buffy will protect the family. And Buffy sure as shit isn't treated as well by her friends as I would treat her. Girl needs a good spouse. Kill Willow - Honestly I'm having some hard times with Willow rn and after how she treats Tara in S6 I could never.

Who would you rather swap aesthetics/outfits with for a day? Buffy omfg. I definitely don't dress as nicely as her but I would love to pull off any of her super 90's styles in particular.

Who do you team up with in a 2v2 volleyball match? Which side wins? Gotta team up with Buffy if you're looking to win, although she might be too powerful. The other two are going to be just as pathetic as I am, so really it should be a good matchup either way.

Who would be the best, most hype DJ?! ....This would have to be Xander. Only because Willow has stage fright and I just can't see Buffy doing it, can you? I can see her trying and then cringing at herself. But Xander would probably try to be really cool about it and get laughed at and then power trip by playing stuff he knows that person doesn't like.

What kind of band would they be? What's their band name and what instrument(s) do each play? These are not performers. So, a terrible one. I'm imagining them pulling together whatever they find in the music room only to end up with Willow on a xylophone, Xander trying to play a trombone, and Buffy asking why there's a cowbell in there.

Could they work together to build an IKEA wardrobe? If no, how far do they get before giving up? I think, eventually, yes. Buffy and Willow would try to put it together and get confused by something. Xander would saunter over and hype himself up as the construction man before getting just as lost by the instructions. They'd muddle through and reward themselves with pizza, only to discover when it's time to move it into place that they screwed one part on upside down.

Who would win a beauty contest? Who would place 2nd and 3rd? Buffy would easily be 1st because she's gorgeous. I'm gonna say Xander would be second, but only because Willow canonically has stage fright and would probably not present very well as a result.

Which one would be/is the better parent? I feel like Xander would be the best parent. He'd take it more seriously than you'd think, because he's worried about turning out like his parents. So he'd really want to give the kid a stable home life. Buffy would do her best, but her Slayer calling always comes first. Can't raise a kid in a world that's been destroyed. Willow is very controlling and would think that she was the cool mom, but would inadvertantly put a lot of pressure on her kid to be a certain way (though she'd never think she was).

If each of them got one million dollars, who would waste spend their money the fastest? Xander, hands down. Then Buffy, then Willow. "No more full copper repipe!"

Who do they main in Super Smash Bros.? Do they play competitively or for fun? Xander - for fun, Snake Willow - says its for fun but gets really intense, Palutena Buffy - for fun, and is actually lousy, Zelda

Who would die first in a horror movie? Who would be the survivor? Buffy would obviously be the survivor. I think Xander would die first so Willow could have the sad emotional reaction that makes Buffy feel the need to rain vengeance down on whatever's hunting them.

They're all on the run from the law! What crimes did each commit and who is most likely to get caught? Willow - Keeps hacking into government databases despite Giles's warnings. Xander - Petty theft. He didn't think anyone would notice it missing! Buffy - Wrongfully suspected of murder. Again. Xander 1000% gets caught, pleads for mercy and is so pathetic the person drops charges.
