You sighed and tossed your phone down in irritation. What did Eita know anyways? It was his fault. Had to open his mouth and loop Satori into the conversation that the two of you had discussed the day before.

It was only the second semester of college and you'd gone the whole first semester without getting laid at all. You'd blamed it on trying to get accustomed to a new lifestyle. A new location. Making new friends. Friends like Eita. To whom, just yesterday, you'd confessed to about your small attraction to a certain red headed boy.

You glanced off to the side of your room to look at yourself in the mirror. You were somewhat presentable, but after a long day of classes, you could have looked better. Oh god. It suddenly occurred to you that you should look better when you found your way to Satori's dorm for the first time.

You scrambled off the bed quickly, cursing yourself for giving yourself such a short time frame to get over to his place as you tugged off the sweats you had been wearing all day. Your underwear came next as you scoured through your drawers, not minding the mess ou were making as you looked for a matching set to pull onto your body.

You'd spent over ten minutes wasting time and texting Eita, trying to process the bold move you'd made agreeing to do this with Satori. You were struggling to pull your hair into a somewhat manageable ponytail, fighting with the tangles it had accrued from the day, as you jumped around on one leg trying to pull on some leggings. Something that actually showed that you had some sort of body under your clothes.

"Fuck, teeth." You mumbled it aloud, nearly skidding into the bathroom as you rushed toothpaste on your toothbrush. Your brushing skills resembled more like biting the bristles and pushing the brush around with your tongue as you dragged a light zip up over your shoulders. You groaned in annoyance again as you looked at your face in the mirror closer, makeup smudged and eyes slightly red.

You wrecked through your cabinet like a mini hurricane, searching for redness relief eye drops and wetting your eyes down and hoping it would kick in by the time you got to Satori's dorm room. You crudely wiped at the smudged makeup with a wet tissue, clearing up the smudges just enough that you wouldn't notice unless you were analyzing your face.

You were quick to grab your dorm keys, pulling on a pair of loose shoes before leaving your dorm room with a slam of the door.

You reentered your room almost immediately, muttering curses over and over through a mouth full of toothpaste. You rushed to spit out the toothpaste in your sink, quickly rinsing out your mouth and dropping your toothbrush where it should be and heading for the door again.

"God, fuck." You groaned again, just before you exited your room, rushing back to your bed to grab your phone off your bed. You patted your pockets again, making sure you had your keys still before you finally left your apartment.

Satori's dorm was only in the next building over but you were out of breath by the time you got there. 5 minutes later than you said you would. It wasn't that big of a deal but you took a moment to catch your breath, trying to smooth back your ponytail before knocking on his door.

You shook your hands out a bit, trying to steel your nerves as you bounced on your feet. "Alright, alright, alright. Relax. It's just Satori." You mumbled under your breath, shaking your head at yourself. "We've talked to him before. He's just Eita's teammate. No biggie." You took a shaky breath as you lifted your hand. "Not Serious."

Satori glared down at his phone and was tempted to go off on his teammate. He was already nervous that you were late and - His thoughts were interrupted by two sharp knocks on the door. He was almost embarrassed by how quickly he was at the door and opening it, his messaged with Semi abandoned on his desk.

Your hand was barely back down to your side before the dorm door was swinging open. You swallowed roughly as your eyes raked up Satori's form.

He was clad in just a pair of gray sweats, hanging loosely, lowly on his hips so that you could easily see the band of his boxers on display and the deep v that led to it. You trailed your eyes up the bare expanse of his torso, defined muscles flexing as he leaned on the top of the door frame. Your eyes finally flicked up to his face and your breath caught in your chest.

He had his head tilted to the side, lazy smirk stretched across his lips as he peered at you through messy red waves. You'd never seen him with his hair loose from his usual style and you had to say, you were not expecting him to look that good like that.

"Did you want another minute to stare in the hallway, or do you wanna come in here?"

You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment as you cleared the lump out of your throat. "Ri-right. Sorry." You laughed awkwardly before stepping towards him.

He leaned out of your way so you could enter his room. You could feel his eyes burning into your figure as he walked in. You toed your shoes off by the door and looked around awkwardly as you wondered whether or not you should sit down at his desk or his-

"You can sit on the bed, you know." He laughed softly, a sound that seemed to shoot relaxation through you just like it had every time he'd spoken to you before. You chuckled softly, dropping yourself onto his bed and crossing your ankles, toes tapping the air in nervousness.

"Sorry, I am, uh," you rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly, "I've never done something like this before." You made your confession quietly.

"We don't have to do-"

"No!" Your shout took both him and yourself off guard as you threw your hands out as if in surrender. Apologies fell from your lips with embarrassment. "Sorry, sorry, just... no. I want to do this. I'm just... nervous."

He chuckled softly and crossed the space in his room easily, nudging your ankles apart to stand between your legs. "That's okay, we can take it slow?" You nodded quietly as you were forced to look up at him, his body looming over yours. His hands brushed against the sides of your jaw, fingers finding the dip behind the bone. You could smell the mint on his breath as he leaned closer. "Can I kiss you then?"

"Please," you mumbled back, holding your breath.

Made it Through Charade Maniacs (finally)

I think it might be due to the repetative-ness of the prologue and having to skip a bunch just to get to the route, or maybe the route order I followed (Iochi>Banjo>Akase>Ebana>Futami>Chigasaki>Gyobu>Dazai>Haiji)

I started losing motivation to play and just wanted to move on to the next game I wanted to play. Maybe because I was only really interested in 2 or 3 of all the LI's? I genuinely couldn't care as much for the rest, but also wanted to know the truth what was going on, so I tried pushing through regardless〒▽〒 I couldn't buy into some of the romances either since it just felt too much of an afterthought in some cases on how to handle it? I don't blame though, the main plot really is to investigate and figure out how to make it out, really. But still;;

The true end didn't start as I feel it usually goes, with players having to start again from the menu once more. It was new and I didn't know what to expect, and I only realised that was the true end/The Truth™️ until I had finished everything, lol. I love how they gave valid points as to how each cast member is suspicious, and showing darker and more serious sides to them. Really kept mel guessing who the Producer and Sponsor were!

Ebana

Ebana's route I couldn't care for because I just didn't like his character enough to even pay attention and just skipped majority tbh. Though, I did manage to read some key info anyways.

Futami

WTF EVEN WAS THIS?? That was a dumpsterfire, and I was SO relieved that even Iochi was fed up with the MC, bc even for how naive or overly-trusting she is, she was absolute stupid and in denial even after everything that happened right in front of her. I'm glad it showed he wasn't willing to change through to the end, but I still hated and cringed at the "romantic" scenes bc I just personally could not get into it. Futami fans, you can gladly have himXD

Tomose

Honestly thought I was going to enjoy this since sucker for childhood friend trope, but this was not it for me

Dude literally forced himself on her (thank gods MC actually did smth and slapped him, much deserved)

I can do obsessive and yandere type characters, but this was just annoying and made me so frustrated for many reasons

Iochi

Enjoyed the storyline, didn't see the twist coming

The intimate/romantic scenes were very nice and had me blushing kjfksd

I love they never got answers or tried to categorise or make focus of Iochi's gender. It was very refreshing for these characters

the epilogue had me going "That's it?!" though, bc it rlly just feels like they skip a bunch just to exposition dump in these epislogues sometimes

Gyobu

I knew I'd love him, I was right. I loved him even MORE in his route, even in Dazai's (was that guy even present at all in his route?)

I loved his design most besides Iochi's. WE WERE ROBBED OF MORE PONYTAIL

He's so cute when he becomes all bashful

actually considers and works with (on equal stance) with MC and respects that she wants to trust others. "You do the trusting. Leave me the doubting". Other LI's tend to really chastise her (I don't entirely blame them, but they tend to completely shut her down)

I love his dynamic with MC, love that he's the multi-faceted characters who goes after the truth solo

I like his moto that 'the more you doubt, the more trustworthy you are' type thing

Dazai

Where to start? It felt like he wasn't around the heroine much in his own route. Gyobu appeared more and it made me miss him ToT

I get what they were trying to do, with the "we already had a pre-established (non-romantic) relationship together" thing, but there was just so few moments of bonding or anything to buy into

Was interested in seeing why he seems to be fan fav, he might just not be my cup of tea bc it was just...ok¯\_(ツ)_/¯

WHAT IS WITH THE STUPID GOLDFISH THING😭 That felt like that was supposed to be the most emotional bond moment for them, but it just felt so weak (and silly. like, "WHY should I care?") imo

Please actually SHOW there's emotional connection in these scenes? It's like, I know there's supposed to be because that's what's being told. But I felt none and it was practically only the same moment they kept bringing up over and over again, like they didn't anything else.

I would have liked to see more of Dazai's unrequited love, build more reason for me to care about the stakes and get invested in the pair

Kinda obvious he wasn't actually kid bc they kept bringing up the whole "he looks too old to be" to not have any importance

This was a sweet route, I was interested in the character and why he's so apologetic and what exactly he feels guilty for

as it was, al thought that he and will would always be in each other's lives- even when will married annette, the mindset was "william has 2 hands and since he's head researcher he can just tell al and annette what to do so they can do the science and still hold his hands bc they each then have 1 free hand" and that mindset continued, it arguably never stopped.

william was a grounding force for al, and i know that probably makes little sense since will was so paranoid, but he was still there and al was there and basically it was a case of neither could really function without the other and it shows.

not that al wasn't happy with s.t.a.r.s, he very much was- that was the happiest part of his life, but it doesn't make him love will any less. will has been and continues to be so important and will's death fucked al up very very bad

because suddenly he's lost his first love and he wasn't there, he couldn't fucking do a goddamn thing. he has to live with that sorrow and guilt because it's the mindset of "if i'd been there he would still be alive" and what i'm saying is there is a piece of al's soul that is missing and it is shaped like william birkin

Relapsed in & out of my ED over the course of the past two/three years. Doing much better now thanks to a strong support network though <3

Ok but imagine Martha freshly post-year-that-never-was joins UNIT bc the Doctor recommended her and she doesn't really have anywhere else to go. She sees a military organization, which she doesn't approve of, maybe partly bc of the Doctor's influence, but i'd say we can safely assume she has her own distaste for military (she's never been one to take orders, she opposes violence, she's the peacemaker in her family so she'd prefer to solve the conflict through negotiation and strategic tricks and not direct action). But then again, not much else you can do, bc of all she'd seen and been through in the past year and the time in the TARDIS she doesn't really have any other choice.

Ok, she's telling herself, ok but i'll be a doctor, not a soldier. I'll be helping people, doing scientific research on aliens. Providing my expertise on how to make this organization better and less violent. I'll stick to my principles, i won't be wearing a weapon and try literally anything else before resorting to hurting someone.

Except the military is a machine that grinds you up unless you become one of the gears. She finds out that being a medical officer is much different from being a doctor. It comes with hard choices, responsibilities, and more blood than she ever wanted to deal with. Research expeditions load up on weapons and sometimes you have no choice but to take arms.

How many times was she dragged off the field because she refused to leave an injured "enemy"? When was the first time she could sneak an alien prisoner out, and saw behind them the ghosts of everyone she couldn't save, asking herself who are you to decide who lives or dies? When did she first have to make a choice between "us" and "them" and heard her own voice from the past (what are you, some sort of Dalek?) as she raised a weapon? And how easy was she to break because of what she had been through, how easy was it to convince her - one of the few people to have escaped the burning Japan - to atack first and not wait for the enemies to strike?

And the Osterhagen Key project i'm sooo fucking normal about it she was really ready to destroy the planet!!! Like she was about to do it! I'm not even saying it you KNOW all the thematic parallels we are all smart here. If the Daleks hadn't teleported her, the Earth would be a cracked egg!! I kinda wish they didn't just so we could see her actually going over this decision, but then again the fact that she followed the instructions almost automatically tells us So Much about her time in UNIT. Like the horror in her face when she refuses to do this at first, and then complete acceptance and resignation that, yes, she will have to destroy her own homeplanet! Literally everyone she knows! Why? Because the UNIT protocols started making sense to her!!!!!!!!

I think that was the breaking point for her UNIT career ("Mickey convinced her to leave" my ass, no! She never belonged there!). In the "Dissected" BF audio she's so unsatisfied with her job, being tossed from base to base, doing boring tasks mostly examining bodies. She says she misses adventures, but there's plenty of adventures in UNIT, there's an alien invasion in England every other Friday. I think she's burnt out after all that went down in "Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End" and "Children of the Earth". She's seen her fair shair of what UNIT can do and is trying to distance herself from big events and responsibilities.

I'm not saying that UNIT is bad bc we all love it (Kate Stewart loml) but it was a militaty machine at that point and those tend to crush people who try to oppose them and aren't on top, in the command centre.

The only options inside this mechanism are get broken, get assimilated, or blow the whole thing up. And Martha did all three. Because she is the character of all time.

You can only really "fix" the system or "exploit" it to do good if you know it intimately inside and out, which means you first have to become a cog in the machine and do your job of upholding it and perpetrating the crimes it's set out to do until you learn it's tricks and weak spots. And you end up doing more harm than good. Which is why good cops aren't real

Also how you describe Namjoon in your story is exactly how i think he is in real life. I think oc realised this especially once jk revealed he needs time to think and that's when it hit oc that he might not come back and that she actually can't live without him. "To think that I was wrong, I guess you don't know what you got 'til it's gone. Pain is just a consequence of love. I'm saying sorry for the sake of us. He wasn't my everything 'til we were nothing. And it's taken me a lot to say. And now that he's gone, my heart is missing something so it's time to push my pride away 'cause you are, you are, you are my everything."

Honestly I totally agree with you, this is highkey how I imagine Namjoon to be in real life as well. Also no joke, working on Namjoon was always so much. I really loved his parts in the story. They were so healing for me to write hahfhads 💜
