Not me doing all the calculations of what I’d have left over wage wise if I were to lower my hours up to 9hours less and noting that I will still be able to live comfortably (i dont...spend...like anything....so-y’know)

but I still won’t be able to get the courage to ask for less hours because it is still like 300€ less and I haven’t even checked how it’d affect stuff like my pension (i have private insurance set up anyway bc it won’t be enough no matter what, but still)+ we already have a whole new schedule which let’s us have 2 days of ‘only’ 6hours of work, with the rest at 9 so it still comes up to 39hours

i have tuesdays off (unless its a saturday off but thats a whole other spiel), and wednesday is a short day of 6hours

i COULD ask for that to just...be down to 0 so I’d have 32hours a work week, but then i’d have 2days off in a row and I’d stay for the short saturday where we usually are understaffed anyway

but also we aren’t allowed to hire new staff and our regional boss hinted at replacing or just removing staff bc...idfk, money?

they aren’t even willing to pay travel expenses for the staff that has been explicitly hired TO travel to different locations as needed in case of shortage

so it’s all going downhill anyway which is stressful but mostly annoying because I don’t wanna switch to a place that’s even more stuck up so i might as well switch my whole career but that’ll take at LEAST another 3 years of shit for all money but the same if not more stress

What inspired your currently coloring style? I'd love to know your process and who/what inspired you to gain such a beautiful way of depicting your characters. What is your process for practicing anatomy as well? Love your stuff!

THANK YOUUU I've always chased the Movie Screenshot look but im recently working on the barrel of worms that is color theory and the way lighting/shadows affect different surfaces. My go to rn is rim light sksksk but im kinda itching to do more challenging lighting scenarios its just a matter of pin pointing What to study and taking the time 🤙 so i guess a movie look and noticing interesting lighting/shadows throughout my day and trying to apply that in drawing form 🤘 as for the anatomy I like to take a scientific approach to it like studying the muscles and where they stack up, how they can move even down to the positioning of the tib and fib, or just real life references or hell sometimes i gotta look at my own arm to grasp wtf a pose is lmfao but i also recommend loose gesture drawing and grasping the overall flow of a pose or limb it rlly helps keep your hand loose and relaxed and can piece the drawing together easier and faster

Jeepers Creepers (2001) & House of 1000 corpses (2003) etc really put spn into perspective. Later seasons were very obviously daytime tv inspired (shoddy sets, relying heavily on bad cgi or a very limited costume department, extremely bright super detailed shots, but also just the acting, plots, side characters etc all follow a OUAT, Teen Wolf, random doctor show that airs daily format. lots of talking, lots of random plots), but in the first seasons you can feel this early 2000s Americana horror background. It's really interesting to see, it contextualises a lot.

But apart from that analytical aspect, it's also really inspiring. Imagine what could've been. (on that note: I feel like the Conjuring franchise is a good example for what Americana horror was doing in the 2010s and onward. that also would've been a fun route for spn to take. too bad!)
