I do not get the dodginess around same class ships.. like have you ever seen your enemy counterpart on the other team? You ever look at another sniper through your scope? See him mirror your flinch and scramble to get out of the sightline? You ever try fighting another spy? Wordlessly, silently agree with him to keep the guns off and stick to knives while you try to backstab each other? You ever see an engineer? Think to yourself, damn that's one bullshit spot but I've been there, I know what makes it fall apart. You ever see the enemy medic hiding behind his teammates and you know exactly what he is going through, what's running through his mind? You see the enemy soldier and you want to tear him to shreds, see which of you is the better soldier? You ever fight another scout? There's nothing like it.

Like, there is no relationship or rivalry that elicits the same experience like same class. There's level of recognition and physical reflection, that's just as intimate as it is maddening. All these people and explosions and crazy shit, and your double always stands out and in the flicker of a second you know what it's like.

Doesn't even have to be counterparts, it can be teammates. Have you ever helped an engineer upgrade his buildings? Walk out of spawn and see your level 3 is still up and running by his hands? You ever top off your main medic to keep him safe as he waits for the right moment to pop his uber, zeroing on him through all the chaos? You ever stand next to another demo and stickybomb a nest with him? You ever fight over kills with the other sniper? You stand by the other soldier while he blows his trumpet and the two of you fight for your lives deep in enemy lines?

There's nothing else like it!! Idk but I go crazy for this shit. Idc if they are clones or suspiciously similar looking people. I. Go. Crazy.
