#marzi speaks#i have a pet peeve where i hate when ppl just barely mess up an idiom#and i am determined to never let anyone know when they annoy me by doing this#bc i recognize that it is so not a big deal and i’d just be a bit of an asshole by correcting them#but every time i hear ‘all of the sudden.’ or ‘right off the back’#or smth similar. the little shithead poet in my brain dies a bit#i bite my tongue every day of my life bc when i was little i didn’t know not to correct ppl#and i am not going back to that. ppl really don’t like when you correct them on a minor speech error turns out#which. personally i would not be bothered but that is simply a social rule i have had to accept
