Been reading up on PCOS because my doc suspects I have it, and I started seeing multiple websites say that PCOS is "an intersex disorder." But then when I tried to learn more about that, I saw multiple other sites saying that it wasn't actually true.

So since I keep seeing conflicting information on this, I decided to make a poll (after all, polls on tumblr are the most scientifically accurate way to answer this, right lol?)

So anyway, here goes:

You don't need to disclose in your tags/notes that you're intersex or that you have PCOS. I made those distinctions for the poll because it seemed like I'd get different info everywhere I looked, and I'm wondering if different demographics account for the discrepancies I'm finding.

Really the only tags/notes I would request are explaining what "it depends" on lol

That explains the size and the employee handbooks, but did they... what, plan to then give up power once that worked? I admittedly can see Doc Mama and Contessa and Alexandria and Eidolon and Legend being willing to do that (not that Legend was in on all of it), but do they really think all their staff would have? I feel like the logical outcome of this is that someone pulls a Stalin or something, corrupts the system from within and takes control after the leadership tries to stop running the show 'once humanity got the ball rolling again'

THAT SAID, it would be a really interesting fic to write or read, where Cauldron actually gets to pull something like this off, or close.

Why do I get anxious about things I should technically be happy for? I just applied for a dream job (or at least it will be a dream job if I can confirm it's possible to extend the contract length), and it seems that the turnaround for interviews/getting hired will be very fast if I do get selected. I do think I have a decent chance of getting selected. I have been increasingly tired of my current role for a while now and I'm very much ready for something new. Yet the thought of handing in my resignation to my manager makes me want to vomit.

now that i've been getting more into coding im learning that like, a programming language is just one slice of an enormous pie of what is actually required to make a site or an app. and even for the coding languages, there are more tools that you can use to make what you're doing like 10 times more efficient. my question is how do you learn that these tools even exist out there for you to use? every time i do a tutorial or study a course i'm amazed and a little panicked about how much more there is to learn outside of programing itself that there is to learn

I've been working on concept and draft work for the next chapter of Laserwing, and it's made me want to do some more random drawings of Trieg and Penki at other points in their lives. I've drawn baby Trieg before but it occurred to me now (not for the first time tbh) that this character's timeline is kind of messed up. Like it's kind of weird to have art of this toddler (who is maybe 25% human) being treated like a pet. He hatched with quadruped legs and took a few years to start talking (maybe Penki didn't know that's normal for human babies). Penki thought she failed to create a sentient creature and decided to keep what she thought was an animal. But we know, in the context of the present, that that's a guy! A real person guy!

So I reached forward into the timeline to ask Trieg's dad's opinion (he won't show up for a long time, and was last drawn in...2019?) and he agrees, this is messed up. Currently in the Laserwing 'present' he doesn't even know he has a son (a partial clone actually) but when Nanru shows up to meet Trieg he instantly likes the kid. Every time he finds out another upsetting detail of Trieg's upbringing he starts yelling at mom.

Weaveworld by Clive Barker - despite being an adult dark fantasy novel with sex and horror, spiritually this is every children's book about kids in a magical land. Be warned about some poorly aged descriptions, but overall, it's a wonderful love letter to the power of imagination.

The Lighthouse Witches by C.J. Cooke - my friend lent it to me (unprompted - "I'm bringing you a book I liked very much, I think you'll like it too), and I can see why she loved it. Very gripping despite the answer to the main mystery being very easy to guess. Or probably because of that - you know but the characters don't, which increases the tragedy of it all

Sailing by Gemini’s Star by Katie Crabb - a great conclusion to a great trilogy <3 I cried more than once. Wrote more about it here

The Phantom (1996) - a fun silly adventure romp. They really don't make them like that anymore, which is both for the better and for the worse. Catherine Zeta-Jones is breathtakingly beautiful, but what else is new

One Piece Film: Gold (2016) - actually a lot of fun, didn't expect it to be a proper heist movie. Nami and Carina... I know what you are

One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island (2005) - oh this one is insanely good. The high stakes, the funny moments, the HORROR (I won't be surprised if I see that flower thing in my nightmares at some point). The animation is also very cool.

Barbe Bleue (2009) - I expected it to go the way of the girl being somewhat as monstrous as Bluebeard, but I did not expect that framing narrative about two little girls reading the tale to end like that. Much to think about.

La belle et la bête (1946) - cinema!!! Art!!!! Panna a netvor (1979) stays unmatched to me, but this one is also amazing, and I adore how the living statues/invisible servants were done.

The Cursed (2021) - I'm always torn between "having people of oppressed ethnicity curse their oppressors perpetuates harmful stereotypes" and "yeah they deserve to curse them actually". This issue aside, it's a solid werewolf-but-not-quite-werewolf horror movie.

context: I’m making a comic series about my Oc’s will be building world and stuff, but need to figure out how to start. So….

I was thinking about making an ask comic series where u can ask questions and get answers(non-canon ofc, idk how asks would work in the lore) because I wanna build my world first before making like…..an animated series or a actual comic. Maybe I can save up money while I do it and work with Glitch studios, do they do stuff like that? Idk. If so I might have to wait like….2 years(cries in teenager)

But should I put the ask series here or on a separate blog?this poll will last for a day and then I’ll start it after my birthday, when I have time(weekend or after school)

(not to put it out into the world but) I have a nasty gut feeling that AI voices could easily be used to make certain artists seem like they're saying stuff that would get them in a scandal. All you need is a hater with access to the right AI tools. I wouldn't be surprised if this starts happening frequently unless AI dies or something

yeah, thats exactly what i mean when the AI voices could be used for evil. like i see silly and goofy trump and biden skits using (probably) their AI voices on instagram but you can make them, or anyone, just say shit. i'd like to think we'd be smart enough as a population to be able to differentiate real voices from AI voices, but AI can also get more advanced and what happens then?
