"If there’s one constant in the Wizarding World that we’ve seen onscreen — in addition to the fascinating beasts, spectacular magic, and breathtaking challenges to our heroes, of course — it’s the calling Albus Dumbledore has to protect both the magical and non-magical communities in his sphere of influence," author Jody Revenson tells SYFY WIRE. "But Dumbledore’s quite an enigma, isn’t he? We still haven’t figured him out. He’s sad and funny; strong and insecure; suspicious and sentimental. And, as actor Jude Law says about his character in this film, he’s making life-changing decisions that will lead him to become the headmaster we’ll know in the future, while at the same time confronting his past. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore gives fans (like me) an incredible opportunity to gain new and surprising insights into a character we thought we already knew."
Tumblr media
Jude Law explains that the man we grew to love through the Harry Potter films is not fully formed yet. "So what we're seeing is an Albus going through big emotional situations and making life-changing decisions. These lead him to become the headmaster we see in later years. But to become that learned and wise costs. We're seeing him confronting old friends, old foes, and also confronting himself."
"Dumbledore assembles a team in an effort to defeat Grindelwald’s bid for power, consisting of Newt and Theseus Scamander; Newt’s assistant, Bunty; Jacob Kowalski; and Lally Hicks, the Charms professor from Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the United States," Revenson explains. "The group gathers together on the Great Wizarding Express, a magical train that appears shabby on the outside, but inside, it’s decorated in the height of Art Deco opulence. Graphic designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima created the logo of the Great Wizarding Express, then translated it into the ephemera associated with train travel, including tickets and an onboard magazine — once again so subtly expanding the wizarding culture. And it just couldn’t be a wizarding train without a trolley. This one offers coffees, teas, and perhaps something a little stronger for the adult wizards."
How come we've never heard about this locomotive, which just so happens to be connected to the Floo Network, until now? Did it eventually go out of business once the Knight Bus came along? We need answers!
What's pretty cool about The Great Wizarding Express, though is that it's connected to the Floo Network (an interconnected series of fireplaces that allow wizards and witches to instantly move between locations). As The Rowling Library pointed out on Twitter, this seems to imply that the Floo Network is not only international, but can also be connected to a place that is constantly on the move.
Although Potterheads have learned a great deal about Ilvermorny (the American school of witchcraft and wizardry) through online resources like Pottermore, they haven't really seen the place represented onscreen. Luckily, the third movie will change all that by bumping up Professor Eulalie "Lally" Hicks (Jessica Williams) to a major player in the story. Not only does she teach at Ilvermorny, but, like the monster-loving Hagrid, she is also the Keeper of the Keys.
"[She] was seen very briefly in the previous Fantastic Beasts film, but becomes an important part of Dumbledore’s plan to stop Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," Revenson teases. "She’s funny and dedicated and smart and intuitive — just like the actress who plays her, Jessica Williams. But I think the main reason I like Lally is because she writes books! And she’s got a very cool wardrobe."
Tumblr media
New Yorker Eulalie Hicks discovered that she was magical at a young age and attended Ilvermorny, as did Tina and Queenie Goldstein. "I think she straddles the line between living in the magical world, but she does come from the [No-Maj] world," says Jessica. "She has a great sense of humor and I think with her, she's always walking on the forward foot, so she has a bit independece about her, which I really love."
As Lally is an educator, Colleen Atwood wanted to present her in a businesslike way. "She's a witch with a lot of authority, "says Colleen. "I choose a warm carmine color on her ,which suited her, and it telegraphed a certain level of authority. I used a tiny little paint that was remotely African-inspired for her shirt, and we added a key chain, because she's the Keeper of the Key for the school.
"Newt's relationship with Lally was really fun to play because she has also written a book that people really love, and they bond over that and their respect for knowledge. She sees the value of what it is Newt does and she sees his heart. I think Eulalie's really good at seeing the heart of people."
"Theseus and Lally are opposites. Theseus is very by the book. He's an Auror, he's stern. Eulalie is very sly, witty, a jokester. She's a teacher who uses humour to teach the kids. They're completely different but they find themselves paired together, so they're learning the balance of how to work with each other."
Over on the dark side, Grindelwald has amassed quite the devoted acolytes, cultivating an inner circle of confidants who will follow his orders without a moment's hesitation. One of his fresh-faced recruits is Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol), who decided to throw in her lot with the villains due to the MACUSA's law against magic folk becoming romantically involved with members of the No-Maj community. Queenie — who was and continues to be in love with Jacob — is in for quite the rude awakening when she learns that Grindelwald wants to rule all muggles, Mr. Kowalski included.
"She’s realizing that Grindelwald may have not been the answer she needed to make that happen, and it’s about time she did," Revenson concludes. "So, when Queenie sees Jacob again, what will she do? Actress Alison Sudol states it brilliantly when she says that Queenie recognizes that they both still love each other and she doesn’t want to be in a world without this love. Alison says this gives the character her mojo back. And that’s the Queenie we want to see."
Tumblr media
"Oueenie went through quite a shocking transition in the second film," says Alison Sudol. who plays Oueenie "I think it took a lot of people by surprise, including myself. She ends up making a fairly rash decision to follow a very manipulative human being, but one she believes offers a change she needs. Now we find her in a dangerous environment with nobody who can protect her."
Since Queenie is living in Nurmengard Castle, Colleen Atwood chose a Germanic silhouette for her wardrobe, but with color in her costumes "to show she is not totally in that world, but a little bit outside it," Colleen explains. "We used a deep carmine red on her, which contrasted nicely with the choice of her super-platinum hair." The tones of the other outfits Oueenie wears are different variations of this red color. "She goes into a Bing cherry red later on, as the story becomes more occluded."
Oueenie and Jacob have separated, "but there's still a spark there," says Alison. When they see each other at the German Ministry of Magic for the first time after she joined Grindelwald, it reignites something in her. "She realizes that he loves her and she still loves him, and a world without love is not a world that she wants to live in. This helps her got her mojo back," Alison says with a laugh.

From a Harry Potter/Venom fusion I started working on several years ago and kind of lost steam with:
Some cultural remnant of public safety announcements (the sort delivered by overly sincere adults who believed childhood was an unfortunate developmental disorder) echoed in Harry's head, warning him that if a stranger offered to take him somewhere else and buy him ice cream, he should say no and run in the opposite direction screaming at the top of his lungs.
(The stranger in question is Arthur Weasley, don't worry.) It's not obvious here, but the basic idea was that the soul shard in Harry's Horcrux "woke up" (minus some memories) and functioned as an ersatz symbiote, though since it's magic it doesn't need to eat brains. There was a lot of sass. I hadn't quite decided on whether I wanted the Horcrux's loyalty to swap to Harry against Voldemort and thus have a more classic good vs evil story, or if Voldemort would change plans on learning about the... symbicrux? and make it more of a philosophy-and-snark fic.
I don't know if I'll ever pick this back up, given jkr's extremely public tire fire, the fact that it would be ridiculously long, and my other more pressing projects that I have neglected for the past three years jesus christ
Other highlights after the cut, this got long:
the symbicrux gets named Riddle, much to its consternation, after Hermione comments that it's an enigma and then has to define the word to Ron and Harry; it eventually warms up to the name
if the plot doesn't get derailed before the big dungeon showdown, Riddle does the Venom body-suit thing for the first time, tanks/dodges Quirrellmort's spells, and straight up eats him alive - undecided on what that would do to spirit!Voldie, rip Quirrell, I can't ever remember how many double letters your name has
the Halloween troll incident is how Hermione and Ron find out about Riddle, who Harry is just calling "the voice" at the time; they are mostly grateful but very worried, since it kills the troll in like 2.5 seconds via tentacle-spike to the skull
Riddle thinks Dumbledore is sus but can't explain why (its amnesia is of the "memories no, random helpful trivia yes" type); Harry gets to be the common sense character for once in not immediately bailing (but he does avoid eye contact)
Harry wants to stay at Hogwarts over the summer; Riddle is extremely pessimistic about getting permission from Dumbledore; they pretend to get on the train and instead fuck off into the Forbidden Forest, possibly making friends with the centaurs, possibly clearing out some of the spiders, also possibly making Hagrid think there's some kind of extremely intelligent freaky monster in the woods (he's not wrong, per se)
since the black symbiote goo is explicitly magic and not handwavey alien biology, Riddle can hold things it absorbs in a small pocket dimension. things like a certain diary. something something this seems to be going vaguely into the realm of "Harry reconstitutes Voldemort's soul by eating all the Horcruxes" which could be... interesting
no idea how dementors affect the symbicrux. it's OP but it's still just a soul, and a partial one at that. possibly it tries to protect Harry and they both learn a valuable and unnerving lesson about invulnerability, i.e., they're not
Harry ran away from the Dursleys several months before getting his letter and has been surviving with "the voice" as a protector and hunter; thus, he gives zero fucks about social customs and is very defensive about the voice, to the point that Ron and Hermione covering for Riddle killing the troll is the memory he uses to power his Patronus (not sure on the animal, probably not a stag - Riddle can't cast spells on its own (or maybe it can but it's very draining?) so gets no input on the memory/animal)
Riddle thinks Snape teaching is hysterically funny but can't explain that either; as such, it and Harry are not as vigilant as they should be and Snape gets a few puzzle pieces (which he keeps to himself, because Snape)
the Sorting Hat flat-out says that it's already sorted Riddle and won't do it again, thus Harry goes to Gryffindor and Riddle whines about it forever (or at least until it gets some character development)
Draco is still a little bitch but gets smacked down by Riddle at his Slytherin best; from the outside this looks like Harry's had an abrupt and very jarring personality transplant, which does not help his reputation issues early on

siderumincaelo replied to your post “okay, i’m cheating b/c i have no reason to tell you this on anon but i…”
if you’ll let me use this great meta to go off on a tangent - i’ve long thought that part of why harry is so fucked up by the revelations about dumbledore is that he doesn’t understand (or, probably, doesn’t want to admit to himself) why it feels like a betrayal. i think it’s significant that in DH we’re explicitly told that harry loves hagrid, but never get that for dumbledore.
of course, harry *does* love dumbledore, but b/c he won’t admit it, it creates this uncomfortable dichotomy of feeling betrayed, but not wanting to think about *why* he feels betrayed.  which is anything but neat and simple, and, as you say, why he can’t compartmentalize it.
EXACTLY. And I think (maybe even not so) deep down, he does understand, but he definitely doesn’t want to admit it. Hermione realizes this, which is why she tries so hard to convince Harry that Dumbledore loved him.
Which, by the way, when I first read her saying those word out loud in DH, I was immediately like oh SHIT Jo went there - because up until that point, for all that HP is, above all, about love, she always danced around the subject. Dumbledore admits to ‘caring about’ Harry. Lupin says the Order ‘cares about’ Harry. Sirius is described as ‘caring more about’ Harry than anyone else in the world. But Hermione comes out and just fucking says it, because she knows how desperately Harry needs to hear it.
And Harry doesn’t want to need to hear that. This line in DH kills me (and I’m going from memory here so hopefully I have gotten it mostly right): “Harry hated himself for hoping that what Hermione has said was true, that Dumbledore had really cared.” He loved Dumbledore so much. But he learned some tough lessons at the Dursleys’ and he tried so hard throughout his life not to need other people, not to depend on them, not to expect love and affection to be returned to him.
The problem for Harry is that it’s one thing to just wonder sometimes if the people who are gone now really loved him (his parents/Sirius). It’s an entirely different and far more difficult thing to be confronted with information that seems to prove that Dumbledore really didn’t love him at all. It’s real fuckin hard to argue against something like that and defend your beliefs when you don’t want to acknowledge that you believed it in the first place.
Harry can easily admit that he loves the Weasleys and Hermione and Hagrid - but Dumbledore was something special. He was Harry’s idol. He was a little distant, a bit of an enigma. He was the father Harry couldn’t ever, ever stand to disappoint, and their relationship was something unique, even to other characters in the books. (Sometimes I remember Rita Skeeter mentioning how much the people of the wizarding world speculated about Harry and Dumbledore’s relationship, or how Elphias Doge, who barely knew Harry, wanted to write to him after Dumbledore’s death because Elphias knew how much they had meant to each other, and then my heart hurts a lot 🙃)
There are two (2) things that Cursed Child got right. The first was Harry still dealing with PTSD years after the war, and the second, the reason I didn’t throw out my copy of the script the second I was done reading it, is the conversation between Harry and Dumbledore’s portrait in which they both state, finally, in plain words that they really did love each other.

The Studies and deductions on the Blood Pact theory between Dumbledore and Grindelwald
Introduction:
My interpretation of the Mirror of erised scene, about Albus' wand, norse mythology and their past.
Before I start, I would like to say what's your about to see it's a whole set of theories regarding the mirror of Erised scene, the wand, the pendant and these two characters. It would take about 10 minutes of your time, I'm trying to be as reasonable, logical and understable as I possibly can, I hope you enjoy this journey with me and like it.
In my previous posts, I already noticed runes on AD's wand and here I provide you some pictures with more details.
Tumblr media
Let's start by looking at the meaning of the 4 runes
Uruz:
•Anrochs or Wild Bull
•Symbols of primary force, beastly powers and freedom, brutal strength, but also control, self-control and domination
•the parts lack equilibrium, an unequal manifestation
•can easily lead to excess or extreme if the individual isn’t careful at the way power, strength and authority manifest themselves in.
•In relationship it signifies primary attraction between two people, beast like attraction. When speaking of a single person, it shows rich adventures filled with passion which quickly consume themselves.
Jera:
• Year, natural cycles & Progress, abundance and light
• not in perfect equilibrium, one of them is always above the others
• two eternal, opposing forces: Masculine and Feminine, Warm and Cold, Static and Dynamic etc.
• associated with summer and spring
• Romance or erotically it symbols the tension between partners disappear, charming spouse, unique relationship
Ansuz:
•God or Ancestral, the rune of Odin/Wotan the greatest Norse god
•an entity who lowers his arms to bless and to offer protection and teaching.
•the rune of communication, inspiration, good, truth, joy and prosperity, a period of joy, openness and progress
•Socially, it foretells a good, slow and yet certain ascension, earned through work and diplomacy.
Dagaz:
•Day or Dawn
•Balanced forces, equality, the communication between earth and sky, Eternal equilibrium
• a lot of success, happiness and growth
•Single people find inner peace and balance, becomes wiser by understanding the necessity and usefulness of solitude. For couples, mutual understanding, empathy and spirit of self-sacrifice.
--> It can be seen from the descriptions above, that the 4 runes are all related to the summer (1899 in Godric's Hollow) they shared together, the political views of the two characters, and the GREATER GOOD ideal that they both have. But similary some runes such as DAGAZ also possessed meanings that maybe omitted by these two in the time 1899. For example, the usefulness of solitude and the spirit of self-sacrifice parts. Therefore, I do not think that they purposely choose the runes in 1899 to carve on Albus' wand, more likely  is that when they are performing the blood pact together as partially as this outcome of this magical ritual, the runes appears on AD's wand.
Of course at the time they were able to decipher part of the meanings of these runes but as teenagers with deep affection for each others, they may pay more attentions to the descriptions that are related to their great cause together and have certains ommissions about the deeper metaphorical meaning of the runes. The runes are in a way a bad omen, resulting from theirs blood pact. Theirs arrogance, theirs brillant minds and also the fact they were dazzled so much by each others making them blind on the meaning of the 4 runes and the repercussions on theirs future life.
I will in the upcoming paragraphe further explain the connection of a blood oath supposition and the information we had about the film right now and to propose a really important theory on the connection to the Norse Mythology.
So I propose my suppositions as follows:
The soundtrack of CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD, one of the song is called «Blood Pact» (track 10).
According to my deductions I have made, the GG's pendant it's a gift from AD. And the sphere of the pendant has 2 colours in it and we can image this like the Tai Chi symbol. In chinese philosophy, the Tai Chi is a manifestation of two balanced forces and we can see that the DAGAZ rune at the bottom of Albus' wand is also talking about «balanced forces». And the connection between sky and the earth so I think the correlation used is quite obvious in this way. We can deduce that these two give to each other gifts while performing the blood oath. AD gives to GG the pendant, and GG possibly offers to AD the golden bracelet we see on AD's wrist.
In the trailer in footage of the Erised Mirror scene theirs palms are facing each other clearly performing some kind of magical ritual at the time. And in a new footage that we get which is AD smiling with bitterness to the mirror, the teens are looking down at something which really look like they are looking at theirs hands which has blood in it. That's the reason why I think the song «Blood Pact» will be played during this erised mirror scene.
I believe that the further evidences toward Blood Pact should be the correlation of Albus and Gellert toward the Norse Mythology Odin and Loki and here are the reasons for this evidence:
Reason 1: Runes have shared roots with both Germany and England, so it's related to the countries of  GG and AD
Reason 2: The rune ANSUZ on AD's wand is the symbol of Odin.
Reason 3: Norse Mythology characters Loki and Odin are blood-brothers they had a blood pact together.
                                                AD and GG
                                  Odin/Wotan         Loki
Loki and Odin are Blood Brothers meaning they perform a Blood Pact
It's from the “LOKASENNA” also called “Loki's flyting”, “Loki's wrangling” or “Loki Quarell”.
“LOKASENNA” is one of the poems of the “POETIC EDDA”.
3 differents translations about the blood oath between Loki and Odin
→ “Remember Odin, in the olden days what blood-brothers we were” (Auden and Taylor translation)
→ “Odin! Dost thou remember when we in early days blended our blood together” (Thorpe translation)
→ “Remember Othin in olden days that we both our blood have mixed” (Bellow translation)
In the past, Loki and Odin performed a ritual in which they mingled their blood and became brothers; blood-brotherhood is mention in the first translation of Auden and Taylor. But in every version a kinship oath is implied between them and mixing blood. Also they shared alcohol because it's the blood of God.
Loki quoth:
“Remember you that Odin it was we (who) in days of old blended our blood together ?”
→ Odin had promised that neither of them would drink with Gods unless both of them were welcomed. Bragi denies Loki a seat with the Gods. So Loki reminds Odin the oath blood-pact. So Odin without any others choice order Vidar to find a seat for Loki. Perhaps GG will later in the FB saga reminds to AD the blood pact they made together in 1899.
Reason 4: Apart the blood pact from norse mythology the correlations between the characters are also quite stunning.
We will start talking about Grindelwald and Loki:
A) They are both masters at manipulating people's mind, they have great charisma and are very goods with words. Loki is a famous trickster.
B) Loki the shapeshifter and Grindelwald used transfiguration to impersonate Percival Graves and obviously he is a master of transfiguration himself. (Perhaps he learned this from AD who is later a famous teacher of transfiguration and also AD wrote an essay about Transfiguration when he was a teen. Bathilda Bagshot the great aunt  of GG like this essay from AD)
C) The relationship between Loki and the Odin has always been highly complicated, Loki sometimes helps the Gods but the other times he hunders them. Loki is a trickster you can't totally trusted him. And before Rita Skeeter published her book, people knew very limited things apart from the fact that Dumbledore defeat Grindelwald in 1945. And they knew nothing about the complex past together of AD and GG. Grindelwald is unpredictable just like Loki.
D) Loki and Grindelwald are both gets an eternal punishment. Loki was sentenced to be hurt by the serpent in a cave until Ragnarok, Grindelwald spending the rest of his life in Nurmengard.
E) Snake is a symbol for Slytherin and Voldemort. Loki suffers from the snake and Grindelwald has died by the hand of Voldemort.
F)It took the other Gods until Ragnarok to realise how much Loki had helped them in the past and Grindelwald had defended Albus' grave in the last minutes of his life. Fortunately for Grindelwald Harry Potter said this fact to Albus Dumbledore during the King Cross station scene from the last HP book.
Now about Dumbledore and Odin:
A) Odin is an extermely powerful and wise God in Norse Mythology. There's many enigmas, mysteries about him. It's very similar to Dumbledore during the HP series.
B) Odin is reveared and wordshipped by those who are seeking prestige, honour and nobility. He is also accused of  beeing a trickster, Dumbledore used manipulation to get people to do his bidding, although that's good bidding. But some people don't appreciate this (ex: Newt Scamander or Severus Snape)
C) Odin is a favorite God by the outlaws and people not welcome in the society. Same thing goes for Dumbledore, he offers good treatment to house elves in Hogwarts (ex: Dobby), and he protects many of these outsiders and gives them guidance and support (ex: Newt, Hagrid, Lupin and Filch)
D) Odin is in charge of the afterworld of fallen heroes called the Valhalla and Dumbledore has own the 3 deathly hallows in some parts of his life and become the master of death.
E) Odin sacrifices one of his eyes to get the wisdom of runes and Dumbledore sacrifices one of his hands for the Gaunt's ring. Also he doomed himself to bringing down Voldemort by destroying the horcruxes, to save the soul of Draco Malfoy and with the tiny hope to see the ghosts of his family.
One of the name of Albus is WULFRIC  Wulf= Wolf Ric= Power and rule. The name must be linked theNorse Mythology character BEOWULF. GELLERT name is similar to GRENDEL the main antagonist of BEOWULF. Which fits well with theirs famous duel in 1945.
GG mentions «But the old ways serve us no longer» in his great speech and the sentence apart from saying it as this statue of secrecy serves us no longer, we can also interpret to be his ultimate seperation with Dumbledore in terms of the ways. So as we can see, they goes on seperate ways. Now Grindelwald has Vinda Rosier, Krall, Krafft, Carrow, Nagel and perhaps Grimmson on his side for the GREATER GOOD.
Conclusion:
Blood pact is the opposite of Unbreakable Vow, it concerns more about feelings and trust instead of the procedure one would take to make sure people don't betray each other. If you violate a blood pact it is your honour instead of your life beeing affected. And this fact that these two people choose to shared blood like Norse ancients Gods and to connect to each others in that way is a demonstration of the brillance and arrogance of them as teens. It also shows the high level of trust they have for each other. It has been mentioned in interviews there will be intimate shots between teen AD and GG. And I believe the blood pact itself is enough intimacy and influence for both people physically and mentally.

ALSO   !   if u want a better look at him, u can check out his pinterest board here  ( follow me too that’d be so sexy of u )   !
information.
i’m gonna just do this in bullet points bc i’m lazy and have had a really long week so if it’s choppy.... i am so sorry u are just gonna have to deal w it KMSKSMK
seulki was born in seoul, south korea to a kang insoo, a wizard man, and kim eunbin, a vampire woman, seulki himself being her first born
he doesn’t remember much of his own father, the only image he has of him is his bloodied corpse after his mother ripped his throat out when he was five years old
she was a cruel woman is what he had learned from that moment on
most half-breeds are misunderstood creatures, but the kim line of vampires were the monsters they told u abt in horror stories, the ones that hid under ur bed and took u from ur room in the depths of the night
being descendants of vlad the impaler, yes he really was a vampire!, had death and destruction lacing through their veins, darkness and deceit wrapping around their bodies
growing up, he watched his mother give birth to three more children, all of which were full fledged vampires, unlike himself
at first, he never let it bother him, he was raised up to be a vampire, to let the magic gene within him go dormant. he fed off humans and shed the blood of other’s with the influence of his mother, but even being her puppet was never enough for her
secretly, she had always resented her falling in love with a wizard, a human, someone that wasn’t of their own kind. because she did actually fall in love with him, only to be blindsided by her own family, a powerful clan of vampires pulling who she was and who she had always been out of her
because of the resentment matted in between her bones, the anger and frustration of her family ruining her life, of insoo ruining her life, she began to see the human traits within seulki even more often than not, creating a drift and a barrier between the two of them
seulki was the eldest brother, the one who took it upon himself to help raise them, to protect them, to never let their bright souls be diminished by the thought that they were monsters. they loved him and he loved them, but his mother didn’t like that
she didn’t like how they cared for each other because they cared for each other  more than they cared for her. she was selfish, wanting the love she never was able to receive, wanted to feel smth for all that she didn’t
his mother hadn’t been fond of him for a while, only using him to do her bidding and while him and his siblings got closer and closer, she got angrier, knowing that they were each others’ heartbeats and she wasn’t included in that
so because of her selfish and deranged nature, she wanted to eliminate her younger children to cause torment to seulki. ganging up on the children one night with the intent to kill them, but she didn’t get as far as she wanted to
she severely injured her second oldest, giving a few scratches the the other’s before seulki came in, eyes black and charging towards his mother. it was a bloodbath after that, the two youngest pulling their sister to safety as they called for seulki
their cries and calls snapped him out of his loss of humanity and in front of him was his injured, but not dead mother unconscious. it was then that he took his chance, packing whatever he could that was valuable and fled with his siblings
they spent time spent a long time running, bouncing from city to city more bloodshed falling onto seulki’s hands to protect the only people he held dear to him and he would do anything for them.
he struggled a lot actually with maintaining his humanity as it would slip from time to time due to the trauma even if he had his siblings to tether him down. at some point, seulki, while strong, felt himself getting exhausted from being on the run and it was when they’d found themselves in scotland being found by hagrid of all people offering seulki a place at hogwarts and his siblings a place in his hut
at first, seulki declined, not fully trusting the man with his siblings even though he would be right in the castle near by. but, after some thought and the push of the second oldest, they accepted the offer and seulki’s been attending hogwarts since he was eighteen and his siblings have found a residence with hagrid
tidbits.
he ages like a normal human up until he’s twenty-one when he quits aging and begins the phase of immortality.
seulki can and will drink blood to survive, but if he goes without it it’s not detrimental to him until he quits aging altogether which means he can eat regular food, he actually quite enjoys it.
he has fangs, he can go out into sunlight, but not for an excessive amount of time or he’ll get a rash. seulki does have inhuman speed and strength, but nothing overpowering u know? when he loses his humanity, his eyes go full black and when the vampire takes him over, his eyes are red, and his regular eye color is brown.
losing his humanity means he loses his heartbeat, most of the time either due to losing the things or people that make his heart beat or from intense and severe anger or negative emotions such as the like. though, it can be voluntarily done as well by switching it off  ( kind of like tvd . . . fucking disgusting ). but, seulki being only half-vampire has an easier time, unlike his siblings, to regain his heartbeat back and for his humanity to fluctuate when it’s lost because of his human side. his siblings are his heartbeats actually, so that’s where the intense need to protect them comes from as well as just being their brother.
seulki is a Big Bi   !   loves it fucking all.
he’s not super great at magic since his magic gene was pretty dormant until he came to hogwarts, so he’s pretty much just skirting by at this point.
his siblings mean the world to him, he would do absolutely anything for them and wouldn’t let a single person harm a hair on their heads. but   !   no one knows they exist, though i’m sure if there were special people in his life they might   !
while he sleeps around a lot . . . he’s a secret romantic. he’s always wanted to find love, but it way too terrified of it.
oh yeah he has a blood kink............ that’s important ig
personality.
seulki is definitely an interesting person. he’s wise and intelligent, having been through a lot in his life. he’s eloquent and good with his words, most would call him honey-tongued because of how he can persuade almost anyone to do what he says. seulki is kind of a dick or well, like a suave dick. he’s charming and flirty, his signature is a smirk and like arms crossed as he leans against a doorway u know? seulki is uh. how do i put this? kind of a whore. he doesn’t tend to care about others which is deep rooted in the fact that he’s never felt real love . . . his own mother hated him to the core. he’s overprotective of the people he cares about and will do absolutely anything for them. he’s an ass if i didn’t mention that before, it’s to protect himself and his siblings from ever being hurt again because he’s so terrified of letting people in for them to just tear him down in the process. he’s guarded and u never know what he’s thinking because he doesn’t show it on his face or let u know. UH I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY MY BRAIN DOESN’T WORK............ he’s p manipulative............. uh he cares a lot. but deep down and he doesn’t want ppl to know that........... he’s definitely a Big Brother type when he cares abt u, makes sure u’ve eaten, makes sure ur warm and are comfortable....... yeah idk that’s it i’m done
wanted plots.
A HEARTBEAT   !   — whether platonic or romantic, this would be someone who, just like seulki’s siblings, makes his heart beat thus keeping his humanity in check, they would be a WHOLE, WHOLE lot to him.
A TUTOR   !   — as i mentioned earlier, seulki isn’t super well versed when it comes to magic, he’s not very good at it and it’s hard for him to navigate sometimes, so having someone to help him get his mf grades up would be lovely !
AN EX   !   — obviously, this didn’t go down well because seulki is terrified of commitment and people getting close to him. it could play out in so many ways, so if it sparks ur interest we can chat !
A ROOMMATE   !   — so which sucker is gonna have to live with the vampire who has a blood kink ?
A BEST FRIEND   !   — obviously this is pretty self explanatory, this would be someone that seulki trusts with probably his life and they mean a lot to him, even if he’s bad at showing it.
LOVE/HATE   !   — bruh give me that good shit. these two can’t stand each other, but because of that it’s formed some sort of fondness where if anyone is messing with the other they’re like who tf are u that’s my job   !
A BAD INFLUENCE / GOOD INFLUENCE   !   — self explantory . . . someone be a good influence for seulki and let him be a bad influence for someone else.
AN UNREQUITED CRUSH   !   — my friend gave me the idea to maybe have someone have a cute little crush on seulki . . . and i was like but that’s SO sad........ then i was like u know what i love pain so here we are........ also could be requited we shall see   !
FUCK BUDDIES, FRIENDS/ENEMIES WITH BENEFITS, FLINGS   !   — i’m just getting lazy at this point to explain this shit . . . fuck him, let him fuck u he’s a true vers my friends.
OTHERS   !   — cuddle buddy, old friends, confidant, rivals, skinny love, annoyances, a brother/sister type of relationship, and if there’s anything else we can just vibe   !   tbh we don’t even have to do anything from this list, whatever fits the muses, these are just ideas   !

REAL OR FAKE, THE SOCIETY OF ESOTERICA?
Dedicated to finding information on the ever elusive individuals who associate themselves with Thayne Whittal. Post your stories here, discuss your questions with other believers, and find answers within!
MY STORY.             (Posted by avery_monaghan763 on 12/27/18) Sorry if it’s a bit long, there’s a lot to unpack here. tl;dr: He’s been in my life for years and I only found out about why on my wedding day. I’m confused and want answers.
I, for one, have never believed in magic.
My loving parents raised me in a very straight-backed Christian household; anything that broke the mold of what they thought was 'proper' got a one-way ticket to the Satanism basket, never to be heard from again. This meant a lot of Veggie Tales, and absolutely no Sesame Street because Bert and Ernie were a little too friendly. Of course, as I got older, I began to break the mold, and after three or four excursions to Jesus camps, they gave up in trying to make me fit the idyllic lifestyle they had set out for me.
Harry Potter was my first exposure to the idea of magic that wasn't Christ-related. I thought it was a load of bullshit, but Hermione was cute, so my thirteen year-old-mind was able to keep up with the series well enough. After that came Lord of the Rings, and I liked it enough as any seventeen-year-old going through their D&D phase. But, I soon came to the realization that the magic in these worlds wasn't even close to the truth.
I first met Thayne Whittal in college. He was sitting on a bench, on the same path I took to get to Calc from my dorm-room, and I was already ten minutes late. Looking back at it, I dismiss my wishes of waking up earlier that morning, else I might not have met this extraordinary individual. There was a stack of books next to him, and despite the heavy winds that afternoon, they didn't budge. In his hand he held a copy of what I now know to be the Canterbury Tales, reading to himself quietly in the original Olde English. The only reason I stopped and pair enough attention to notice this, was the fact that I felt completely and utterly compelled to do so. It was an epiphany at noon, expanded only by my panicked, still half-awake mind; and so utterly clear that it broke me out of this state.
This man was something worth looking at.
He was lumbering tall, broad in his shoulders; Hagrid with more care to manscaping, I thought; and he wore a long, beige Chesterfield. I couldn't see his shirt underneath at the time, but I could see that it was very colorful, contrasting against the loosely-wrapped navy blue scarf around his neck. When I stopped to gawk at him, his eyes flickered up to look at me, and he smiled. As if he'd known me his entire life, he smiled, and it was inviting and warm and kind all at the same time; unnerving, but comforting. A contradiction of contradictions within itself. The only words he'd said to me this day were, "Good afternoon," before going back to reading his collection of tales. After he spoke, my brain started again, and I simply sputtered out an awkward, "You too," before going on my way.
The next time I met him, I was on my way to get coffee with my now Husband, who was incredibly understanding of my situation and allowed me a pass for missing our date that day. Thayne sat about four blocks away from the niche place, and looked exactly the same as he had when I'd seen him four years previous. This time, however, I saw his shirt clearer; a gaudy Hawaiian button-up, baby blue with near-fluorescent flamingos and palm trees spattered about. I might have laughed at him, if he weren't already laughing. He still held Canterbury Tales, and was chuckling to himself as he turned the page. His voice was a deep, gravelly thing, and though he hadn't spoke, I could hear the lilt of his accent atop it all. Once again, I felt compelled to stop in front of him, except this time, I spoke first.
"Do I know you?" I blurted out, almost yelling over the bustle of the street before us.
Thayne looked at me, perplexed, and squinted; scrutinizing my face for a moment before nodding. "I worked at WSU," he said. "You might have been a student of mine."
My alma mater, where I'd seen him first. I shook my head, daring to step closer. "No, I don't think I was. You, God, this sounds crazy; you were reading that," I gestured to the book in his hands. "And bid me a good afternoon."
As if he'd struck some wondrous part of his mind, he closed the book without marking his page, and beckoned me over. I sat next to him, carefully, as he spoke. "Ah, right! You looked horrible."
He wasn't wrong, I thought, but I was still offended.
"You looked horrible, but; did you at least pass the class?"
"I did." I told him. "Took some time, but I did."
"You're welcome." He said, a verbal nudge to my side as if we were friends catching up.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, completely and utterly confused by this enigma of a man.
"Do you recall what happened that day, in your class? Specifically, what happened to your professor?"
I did, "He was... late, showed up at the same time as me."
"You're welcome."
"I'm not following."
"Not many people do. You're a leader, Avery Monaghan, keep leading. I must be going, though; I'll see you in a few years."
I blinked at him, rapidly, but between the darkness, he had disappeared. Just like that; a breath of wind took him once more, and I was left with many questions. What did he do to make my professor late, that day? Was this man dangerous? And, why did he refer to me with a last name that wasn't my own?
Monaghan is my husband's surname; one that I'd take in the coming years. I didn't know it at the time, so it didn't stand out to me until much later. From that day forward, I could not get Thayne Whittal off of my mind, despite not knowing his name, or anything about him other than the fact that he was the strangest individual I had ever met.
But, things began to happen in my life that I could not explain. Not the kind of things in the realm of ghosts knocking things off of shelves, or UFOs in the sky, but things that seemed too convenient, too good to be true. Like before, if I were terribly late to something important, the person (or people) attending would be late, too. The night my husband and I got engaged, it was a completely clear sky, not too cold; but it began to snow. I loved the snow, and I remember my husband remarking that it was perfect. It was magical.
I saw Thayne again at my wedding. He didn't have his great stack of books this time, and instead wore a crisp white shirt with a bow-tie made of black velvet instead of a scarf. He was out of place, yet blended in perfectly like my friends and family. My grandmother was deep in conversation with him when I noticed him, and he raised a single hand to wave at me. Grandma motioned me over, and I broke away from my husband to make my way toward them.
"You know Thayne?" Grandma asked, accusatory, once I was in ear-shot. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"We were colleagues in college," Thayne interjected. "And you know, with degrees like ours, there isn't time to remember everyone. I'm sure Avery didn't mean to keep you in the dark, Matilda."
"Right, I... uh, can I talk to you alone, for just a moment?" I asked him, and Grandma looked absolutely affronted that I was tearing her away from him. He simply smiled, nodded, gave her a peck on the cheek, and made a promise that he'd be back in a 'tiff.'
We walked outside of the tent that my small, happy-ending wedding was held in, and Thayne looked at the stars as he spoke, wonder in his eyes. "I'm happy for you," he said, and then looked down at me. "Jason's a good man."
"I—Thank you, but—"
"You have a lot of questions." He cut me off, again, and this time, it annoyed me.
"I do; can you just, let me talk?"
He raised a brow, but stayed silent.
I then recounted everything that I could remember; the lateness, the snow, how everything fell into place and how it wasn't right. Something was off, and I knew he had something to do with it, and if he ever thought of hurting anyone I knew, I'd call the cops in a second. He didn't look hurt by my words, but his eyes softened considerably, and he bobbed his head in agreement to them.
"It was me," He said, clearly, as if it were obvious the entire time. "But you've only just started to notice, haven't you?"
I didn't know what he meant.
Thayne seemed to know this, and continued. "When you were seven years old, you were playing baseball with a cousin in the back yard of your grandmother's home. You knew Matilda would be furious if you broke anything, so you took care to make sure you tossed the ball gently to Henry; but he hit it too hard, and the window shattered. You were devastated, and thought for sure, your baseball-rights would be taken away the second she noticed."
"I... I remember, but the ball didn't shatter the window, it—"
"Bounced off." He finished my sentence. "And the time when you were about to spill sangria all over your Aunt Jennifer's new carpet because you wanted to try the adult's drink,"
"The nozzle stopped before anything got out," I finished.
"And, nobody saw you."
"I don't understand." I finally said, and Thayne looked to the stars again.
"You weren't allowed to believe in anything as a child," He said, and he almost sounded sad. "So you didn't see it. You didn't remember it. I don't blame you; who could? But, as you got older, you saw it more often. Saw me, more often. I hoped you'd notice eventually, and you have. You... remind me of my daughter, Charlie. So did Matilda. And your mother. The only difference," He placed a hand on my shoulder, impossibly warm. "Is that you and Matilda believed. You believed, even if you thought you didn't; even if all odds said you shouldn't. You allowed yourself to, and I tried to help in every way I could; between time, and hardships, and everything in between."
There was a long silence between us, and I looked to the sky, too. Millions of stars stared back at me, and for the first time, I saw it all; the belt of the universe, dusky hues of space making themselves known to me, and I started to cry. Thayne said nothing, only holding onto my shoulder and squeezing it, gently, despite his size. "It's beautiful, what the mind can do when we open ourselves to the truth." He said, and I could tell he was looking at me again, even if I didn't look at him.
"Thank you," I said.
"You're welcome."
That was the last of what I saw of Thayne Whittal. Grandma was furious that he was gone again, but, once she saw my tears; it was as if she knew what had happened. She hugged me, for the first time in years, that night, and my wonderful husband let me spend the rest of the reception with her; talking about Thayne, what he had done for her, for my mother. She told me that on the night we buried Mom, he was there, and the stars were brighter than they had ever been that night. He had told her that it was because she was with them, and her fire fueled them all.
This is why I write on this forum, now. I want to know if anyone out there is like me; I've read some of your stories and have marveled at them for hours upon hours, at the kindness of this man, and claims you all make. I don't know how much of it is real, how much of it is bullshit, and how many of you are trolls looking for a good time with stories of time travel and magic.
But, I believe in it now. And I want answers, like the rest of you. Who, or what Thayne is; what he can do; and who else is like him. Thank you, for your time, and I hope we can all try to come to some sort of consensus about this all.
EDIT [12/31/18]: To answer your questions, no, my husband has never seen him. I asked him about it all, told him my story; I don't think he believes it all, but told me that he's never seen or heard about Thayne. My son, who will be three this upcoming January, hasn't seen him, either. I asked simple questions, like if he'd seen a big man in a big coat, and he completely disregarded it all in favor of paying attention to Doc McStuffins. Toddlers. Go figure.
EDIT [1/24/19]: My grandmother passed away today. It broke all of our hearts, but it was a long time coming, and as my husband put it, "She's in a better place." Where that place is, I don't know, but I'm glad she's there. Thayne wasn't at the funeral, like I hoped he'd be. I wonder if he knows. If he knew, and that's why he didn't come. Grief is a heavy thing on the heart, and I'm going to miss her loads. I just wished that he might have been there to help ease the heaviness.
EDIT [1/26/19]: Thank you for your well-wishes. It's my son's birthday, today, and we're trying to smile through the pain. There's been a raven on our balcony the entire morning, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Bird Theory? Message me, if you do, and I'll update the post if anything happens with it.
