BOTH transphobes and allies (and even some trans people) react to trans people existing by doubling down on gender roles/standards and it's REALLY making me mad
#like saying yeah there are many genders but basically everyone still boils down to looking like a 'male' or a 'female'#or insisting nonbinary ppl are women-lite irt afab ppl and completely ignored irt amab ppl for the most part#implying alllll binary trans people pass or want to. implying they all suddenly have the features you expect them to have.#i can only imagine how hard it is for intersex ppl being constantly disregarded too#personal /#yes yes of course all binary trans ppl look exactly like cis people. and basically so do nonbinary ppl#EXACTLY like the transphobes who figure they could 'tell'#edit: i meant trans ppl have to look like cis ppl Or Else yknow. but to allies its like. they cant exist not looking like cis ppl at all.#they either expect to be able to see us as a 'failed' version of our assigned gender. or passing as cis.#when usually its neither
