Hi, just going to come clean with you. I read your story and it really triggered me for some reason? You keep hinting at a reader 'backstory' and that trend is getting so old. Giving the reader a backstory literally takes away the whole essence of it being an X READER. I was not/never will be a nurse and I don't see why people like to put readers in someone else's shoes like god damn, just make it a Syntax x OC fanfic, its not that hard, we won't be upset or mad at you for making something self indulgent.
Literally. You wrote in the tags??? That it was self indulgent?? That self indulgent shit go woo?? Honey. Just come clean with US. It's really pissing me off.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Twisted Wonderland
Reacting to you trying to go back home
Characters: Overblotters
Notes: Yandere/Toxic themes involved
"Crowley thinks he might've found a way for me to get back home!"
Riddle Rosehearts
He looks at your smiling face and something in him breaks. He should be happy for you, he really should. This is what you had wanted from the beginning. To see your family and friends. To be free of magic and almost getting killed by overblots.
But you should've been happy here. He'd order his card soldiers to keep the rose garden in prim condition for you to gaze upon whenever you visited. The birthday parties always included a dish you liked. You got along well with Trey and Cater. Sure, Riddle was strict with his rules, but he grew more lenient with you. Surely, you could see that.
"That's wonderful news. And you're...happy to leave?" He tries not to let his voice crack as he grips one of the legs of the table they had just used to share dinner together. Apparently for the last time.
"Of course, I'll be happy to see everyone back home. It is a bittersweet feeling though. I'll miss you all." He chooses to ignore the 'all' part of your phrasing for a moment. You'd miss him and isn't that enough reason not to go?
"We'd all miss you as well....I, especially,-"
"But I think it'll be good for me to go and be back with my family, you know?" You add and he tenses again. He knows well how important family could be, and he also knows how burdensome they are. His mother forced him to adhere to strict guidelines, and while it shaped him into the respected house warden he is today, it also made him afraid. Terrified, even, that everything would go wrong if the rules were not followed.
Perhaps that's what you needed. A healthy dosage of fear and some rules to keep you in line. You were his perfect rose, blooming and unblemished. You had always managed to drag him away when he got too deep in his studies and talked him down when his face became as red as the flowers in his garden. But now your edges have grown frayed. You're trying to go back to your roots but he'd rip you out of the ground, thorns and all, to keep that from happening.
"Right. Well, it's gotten quite late and it wouldn't be proper for you to walk back to Ramshackle this late at night." He sensed your confusion even before you could voice it. You've taken plenty of late-night walks before and this would hardly be on the top list of most dangerous things you've done at the school.
"I can walk back-"
"I insist. I couldn't let you go...to your dorm! This late." Riddle shakes his head and covers his blushing face with a hand as he stands up from the table. "I have a room for you. If you'll take it?" He offers his hand to you, hoping you will miss the small trembles.
You smile at him again and take his hand, sending warmth even through his gloves.
"Just for tonight." You nod. Riddle gives you a small, though tight at the ends. His rose didn't need to know about the details of their stay, only that it was going to last longer than they thought.
"Of course. Although I must make sure you have an adequate stay. Rules indicate that guests should have the most hospitable experience, no matter how long that takes to fulfill." Riddle answers with ease and you see nothing wrong with it. His rose would blossom even more under his careful watch.
Leona Kingscholar
"And?"
The notion of you leaving was laughable to him. You had already managed to barge your way into his life, ruining his plans at the Spelldrive competition, ruining his nap routines, and ruining his pride as a prince. And he wouldn't have it any other way. Though the latter is still mostly kept intact.
You look at him, seemingly flabbergasted by his dismissal.
"And...that means I'll likely be leaving soon." You tell him. He sees your small frown. You must think he doesn't care that you're leaving. But it was quite the opposite. As much as he would never admit it to himself, he cares so much that he denies any possibility of it happening. He knows you don't actually want to leave.
Leona watches you sit up from his bed that both of you had been lying in for the past few hours. He grasps your wrist before it can leave the sheets. His grip is tighter than usual. Leona had always been like that. He demanded respect and expected you to follow. You, of course, were not so willingly submissive to him but that made it all the more fun for him to make you.
"Ruggie isn't going to be back 'till later tonight. I've got more sleep to catch up on. Especially after you bothered me last night." Leona tugs your wrist to bring you back closer to him while he rests his other arm under his head. Last night you had came to him, clearly anxious about something and didn't want to be alone. Anyone else he would have turned away with a scoff, but he's found over time that he has a hard time refusing you. As long as it didn't involve you trying to run away from him.
"Are you even listening to me?" You narrow your eyes at him and he smirks.
"I have and it sounds like a buncha nonsense. Go back to sleep and maybe you'll forget your dumb ideas in the morning." Leona grumbles and pulls you to his chest. He hears you huff but you don't resist, lying back down beside him. He doesn't know exactly why you're having these kinds of thoughts but it doesn't really matter to him. If you want to run, he is glad to give his precious prey a chase.
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul's hands freeze in the air, his fork and knife about to cut into the juicy salmon that had been plated beautifully in front of him. He glances up at you, his smile also frozen on his face, as you were just talking about how much you enjoyed Night Raven College and the Mostro Lounge. All until you abruptly switched to this topic he thought he was doing a good job at evading.
"Ah, isn't that...delightful?" His words would have come off as calm to anyone else, but you notice the slight strain in his voice. You always seem to see right through him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you-"
"Upset me? No, quite the contrary. I think it's wonderful the headmaster has finally secured your passage back home." Azul muses and goes back to cutting his salmon, though it's obvious that his cuts are a bit more jagged.
"Yes... he said it could be any day now." You respond carefully. You try to offer him a smile as you take another sip of the drink he gave you on the house. He could see the small ounce of hope in your eyes of going back to your world. That wouldn't do.
"Is that so?" Azul takes a bite of his food, swallowing before adding, "It's really too bad you won't be able to go then." He continues eating, ignoring your confused eyes as if he didn't just say the strangest thing.
"Why wouldn't I be able to go?" You ask slowly. "I mean, the transportation might be difficult but-"
"It has been a while so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised you forgot." Azul sighs and dabs his face free of any smudges with his napkin. "You may not step out of the bounds of Night Raven College by any means, including the Dark Mirror."
"According to who?" You let out a disbelieving laugh.
"According to Article 3 Section 5 of the contract you signed." Azul takes another bite of the salmon, not letting himself react when you slam a hand on the table.
"What contract?! I never signed anything!" You snapped. He remains as calm as ever. This time, you couldn't read him, couldn't even see his eyes through the glint in his glasses.
"You must remember when you agreed to work in the Mostro Lounge for a couple months. I had you sign an employment contract. I warned you about reading it through to the end. A suggestion I don't give to most poor, unfortunate souls in this school." Azul answers.
He did indeed give you the small packet to look through and recommended reading it all. It wasn't his fault that Floyd made a commotion in the kitchen just as you started reading the end portion. Azul urged you to sign it while he dealt with the mess that Floyd undoubtedly caused and you did, just missing the statement that required you to be on-call even after your employment ended, and being on-call meant you always had to be within a certain range of the lounge.
"You can't be serious." You utter quietly with wide eyes, realizing exactly what he was talking about.
"I'm afraid I am. But don't fret too much. I think you'll come to like it here." Azul smiles again. A smile that's hardly recognizable.
He watches you jump up from the table and storm out of the lounge, passing confused customers who glance back at him. He takes a drink from his glass. Azul isn't worried about you walking out. You couldn't leave here, leave him, anyway. And if you tried to hide from him, he would just send Jade and Floyd to hunt you down. You have become one of his prized possessions, and he isn't going to let you go that easily.
Jamil Viper
"Really? It's about time." Jamil comments as he starts chopping the vegetables you prepared in a bowl.
He had invited you to try some new recipes with him that he'd then distribute to the Scarabia students. For the past few months, you had been inviting yourself into their kitchen, much to Jamil's annoyance. You always offered to help him and he always declined, especially when it came to Kalim's meals. He was not going to lose his job over a pretty face. You respected his refusals but you still liked to watch him for some odd reason. Today, he finally decided to let you help him.
He appears to be half paying attention to your words while you're stirring the stew. "Haven't you been waiting a while?"
"I have. Crowley's been pushing off researching but I finally made him go through with it!" You look quite proud of yourself and if Jamil wasn't so irritated, he might have thought it was cute.
He simply hums in response and continues swiping his blade through the onion, each cut sharper than the next. He should be fine with you leaving. People come and go, after all. It would make things easier for him as well. He would stop getting distracted so easily, riddling his fingers with knicks from the blade when his thoughts drifted off to you.
"Kalim also promised to help me pack my stuff. He's eager for me to see my family." He sees you smile absentmindedly as you stir. Jamil's hand clenches tighter on the knife.
"Of course he did." He mutters to himself. Kalim got everything we wanted, didn't he? He got the wins, the praise, the Housewarden title. And now he was going to send you off. Jamil bet he was even encouraging you to go and like always, Jamil would just have to accept it. Only this time, he wouldn't. Jamil never got anything he could have to himself, always having to share with Kalim. You would be the one thing he could keep just for him.
"That reminds me, I needed to ask you something," Jamil says and you look back at him. He takes a step closer to you and leans forward, whispering the name of his unique magic. His lips widen into a smirk as he watches your irises fade to red.
"You'll be staying here, won't you?"
Vil Schoenheit
He raises a perfectly trimmed eyebrow as he works to pluck yours with tweezers.
"Hm? That's not the line, darling," Vil says. In your hands is the large packet of paper that contains Vil's script for his upcoming film. He had asked you to practice lines with him. You agreed and in exchange, you asked him to put some makeup on you. It was something he's been wanting to do anyway so he obliged. All was going well until you dropped this bombshell on him.
"I know, I was trying to figure out how to tell you and I accidentally just blurted it out," You sigh.
"Mhm. And Crowley has- Close your eyes, now - provided a way for you to get back home safely?" Vil asks as he moves on to your eyes, brushing an eye shadow across your lids that matches your skin.
"I don't know if anything about that man is safe, per say, but he did seem pretty confident about this." You respond as you keep your eyes closed for him. Vil shakes his head with a small 'tut'. The headmaster didn't exactly have a track record for reliability. He voiced exactly this to you.
"Crowley may just end up sending you on a one-way ride to nowhere. There's no telling where he could send you, why not wait for a few trial runs?" He places a hand under your chin. "And besides, why do you need to go home so badly?" Vil puts the palette back down and takes a tube of lipstick in his hand.
"Well, I want to see my fam-" You're forced to stop talking until he finishes applying the lipstick, "I want to see my family and finish everything I had going on there."
"If that's the case, I don't see what you could do back home that you're unable to here. And if you want to see your family, shouldn't you make sure your travel is safe so you can get back to them in the first place?" Vil questions as he wipes the small smudge of lipstick from the bottom of your lip with his thumb.
"That's...true." You nod reluctantly. Vil smirks a bit as he moves his hand towards the back of your neck, his thumb tilting your head up so you can look at him properly.
"Correct. And if I'm not mistaken, you've built quite the life here, haven't you?" He watches you slowly nod and he soothes the back of your neck with gentle fingers.
"You really want to throw that all away?" Vil looks down at you with questioning eyes even though he already knows the answer. You shake your head.
"No...but I also know that's something I'll have to do if I want to go home." You tell him firmly. Vil lets out a sigh and turns away from you for a moment.
"If you say so, but at least let me leave you with a parting gift." He turns back towards you and presents a small perfume bottle with a fancy font across the lid that you can hardly. It would no doubt cost hundreds in the market.
"My own creation that I've been working on. You're the first to have it." Vil says as he hands it over. You take it with a bright smile.
"Thank you! I'll try it on as soon as I get back to Ramshackle." You respond excitedly as you move to stand up from his makeup chair but he places a gentle hand on your wrist.
"I'd like to hear your critique as soon as possible. You are my perfect model, after all." He says with a glint in his eyes. You didn't seem to have any problem with that and sprayed a few spritz of the perfume on yourself, promptly passing out in the chair. You would get it through your head eventually that you belong here. You just need a little more convincing.
Idia Shroud
"Hold up, what?"
Your sudden words caused him to press the wrong button and his character gets brutally killed by one of the forest monsters in the game. You wince and put down your controller, turning towards him on his remarkably soft couch.
"Yeah...sorry to tell you so late but it looks like it could be soon." You say and Idia tosses his controller to the side, facing you as well.
"So you're gonna go? Just like that?" He asks in shock. You only recently just started playing video games with him in his room. Before, you had to practically beg him just to play a game with you when you were both in different dorms. It took a lot of convincing but he soon gave in after some persuasion from his brother. Once, you showed up to his room to see if you could play in person and he stared at you with wide eyes for about five seconds before slamming the door in your face, apologizing later over text.
He was unbearably anxious around you at first but he got used to the idea that you wouldn't judge him so easily. So he showed you another side, his more competitive and ill-mannered side to see if that would make you go away. And you still didn't. You instead embraced him for it. So why now were you just going to forget about all that?
"I-I mean I have to," You were clearly caught off guard by the intense look in his eyes, "I have a home and a family and friends-"
"Yeah, yeah, sure but what about everything you have here?" Idia insists.
"Everything I have here?" You ask.
"Y-Yeah, those first years, Grim, your dorm, me- many other things!" He stammers out. It would be way too cringe to mention himself deep down he hopes he's one of the things that could keep you here.
"Of course I'll miss everyone, but I miss everyone back home too," You say. Idia sighs deeply as he throws his head back on the couch.
"You're reallly set on this, huh?" Idia asks. You bite your lip and nod.
"But I still-" You try to add but he cuts you off.
"No, I get it. I wouldn't wanna be around me either." Idia sighs again. You look at him with wide eyes and fervently shake your head.
"No, it's not like-"
"You must have better friends back home if you're so desperate to see them again." He adds as he looks away with a frown. You don't notice him peeking back at you. You sigh and tilt your head so you can fully meet his gaze.
"Look, I'll talk to Crowley, see if he can push it back a bit." You tell him. He looks at you curiously.
"Are you sure? I don't wanna pressure you if-"
"No, it's okay. I want to spend more time with you and everyone anyway." You give him a small smile and he smiles back. He could play the pity card all day if it meant you'd stay.
Malleus Draconia
Malleus pauses in his steps, looking at you with a wide, curious gaze.
"You're leaving?" He utters. The two of you had been enjoying your nightly walks together back to Ramshackle. After one too many fights and attacks happening after hours on campus, he thought it best to escort you back home. He could easily teleport you both back to your dorm, but it gave him a good excuse to be around you more.
"Yes, hopefully it'll be soon. I'm excited to go back!" You smile enthusiastically and Malleus can only offer a grimace back.
"I suppose you could say I'm a little surprised. I thought you were happy here. Did I assume wrong?" He asks as he continues walking you to your dorm. Normally you would have never been able to keep up with his pace but he always kept a slower one for you.
"Oh no, I am happy here. My friends have been wonderful and I'm glad I'm friends with you. There's just some things I could do without." You mention offhandedly as you gaze up at the moon. He looks down to see it reflected in your eyes. The moon is wondrous but all he can see are the eyes that pinned a man who could never yield so deeply. You managed to befriend a dragon who is intimidating in every manner. That kind of connection isn't so flimsy that it could be dismissed by thoughts of departure.
"Things such as what?" Malleus perks up at the idea of solving one of your problems. As powerful as he is, there are a number of things he can't help you with. He couldn't do anything about your assignment getting deleted after your internet 'crashed' or about the friendship problems you once had with the Heartslabyul boys, but he's always eager to listen, just as you always do with him.
"It's just some rowdy guys from Savanaclaw who are still mad about the Spelldrive competition. They've been bothering me a bit but it's not a big deal." You tell him and he stops the both of you this time with a hand on your shoulder.
"Bothering you? For how long?" Malleus didn't mean to turn his hard glare on you but he couldn't help the fury building up inside of him. Many of the students already noticed your looming shadow that often followed you around like a lost puppy, which was usually enough to keep them from trying anything. Malleus isn't naive enough to believe that students at this school are always on their best behavior when he has his own business to deal with in the Diasomnia dorm. However, he swiftly and discretely took care of any nuisances that he happened to notice. He didn't think you were keeping anything from him.
"Like I said, it's not-" You try to soothe him but his glare only hardens.
"For how long?" Malleus repeats and he doesn't plan to a third time.
"For about a month now...but I can handle it myself!" You insist but he ignores the latter half of your sentence as his face morphs back into a gentler one.
"So that's what's been burdening you? I wish you'd have told me sooner but it's no matter. I'll take care of it." Malleus assures you.
"I mean that's one thing, but I have other reasons-" He cuts you off with a pat on your head as the two of you stop in front of Ramshackle's doors.
"You don't have to ruminate on it any longer. Do try to tell me about any other troublesome students in the future. I'll handle them and anyone else who tries to ruin your happiness here at Night Raven College." He vanishes in a flurry of lights before you can say a word. Any serious notion of you leaving is unthinkable to him, and if you do come up with more reasons, he'll make sure to take care of those as well.

Cold as ice II
a/n because why not take an opportunity to cry some more. I am so thankful for all the love honestly! You guys are the best!✨🤍
summary: what happens when Ellie stumbles upon a memorial that turns out to have both your and Joel's kids names on it. When the past pain is brought back to the daylight even the coldest of hearts finally break.
This can be read as a standalone but is written as a part two to Cold as ice.
warning: Killing, mentions of multiple death, loosing your kids, supplement use, mention of miscarriage, trauma but I think this is not as bad as the first part lol.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"How is she?", Tommy approached Joel in a tight corridor that was filled with both sobbing people and soldiers shouting. "The same," Joel ran a hand over his face, "They are moving everyone out of here today. To a different quarantine facility." Those words instantly sparked something in Joel. "What? Shit, she's still pumped up with meds", if the process of going there was as torture as it was getting here, you barely stood a chance.
"Joel", Tommy started, but Joel was all up at his face within a heartbeat, "Tommy, if you'll tell me one more fucking time to leave her by. I will blow out your brain's myself". The tone was anything but pleasant. Joel had been wanting to rip someone to pieces for some time now. He had beaten the stranger to a pulp here after the first day. The man was standing in front of the door that led to your room. Crunched down to look through the little window. Joel didn't ask questions; he just swung a punch. Nor did he remember much besides that when Tommy pulled him away, the man was nothing but a pool of blood.
"You know that's not what…", "She lost two kids…", Joel's words cracked mid-sentence as the thought of his two angels once again swirled in his mind. His biggest and most precious little bugs were taken away like that. "So did you, man", Tommy brought Joel closer to him. Joel's arms moved to grip the material of his brother's jacket. He didn't want to cry, but the sob had come out of nowhere. The past three days have been a nightmare and then some. Now Joel was sure that he was paying for all of his sins. Paying in the most brutal ways.
Dragging you away from the field was the second hardest thing Joel ever had to do. He could only pray that his arms would not let him down as he pressed you closer to his body. Joel wasn't sure what they injected into your neck once you reached an army van and practically ripped out the eyes of the soldier who tried to help you into the vehicle, but you collapsed immediately. Joel barely managed to catch you. He pressed your unconscious body against his. Just like he had for the past hour or so. Praying and hoping that you weren't gone. Joel couldn't lose all three of you. Now you were all he had to fight for. No matter how much pain he was in himself. Joel had to drag you both out of the darkness.
Then he sat in the chair next to your bed. If you could even call it that. When they had ushered everyone underground, Joel had bribed a nurse to give you three a room and make sure that a doctor would come to check you. At that time, the price didn't matter. He needed an answer. Needed to know that you were going to wake up. High dose of sedatives - the doctor had said. "But I doubt it'll keep her out for long. After two kids… My apologies. If I'll find any medication", he had placed a supportive palm on Joel's shoulder. Something that would also end up feeling so foreign soon.
If Joel thought seeing you unconscious was difficult, it didn't compare to the heartbreak he had to endure the moment you opened your eyes. You jolted with a gasp. Eyes jumped across the room as you tried to figure out where you were. "Love…", Joel stood up, slowly approaching you. "Sarah… Malakai," you murmured as you continued to look around. "How about a glass of water, huh?", Joel asked, hoping to sway the topic. But you pushed the blanket off your body. "Sarah and Malakai," you repeated. Joel clenched his jaw. "Sarah and Malakai," "Love, stay in bed," Joel put his hands on your legs, stopping you from pushing them over the edge. "Sarah…Malakai", you said once again, eyes looking up at Joel, "They killed them. I saw… I saw," you breathed out, pressing a finger to your forehead where the bullet had pierced your son's skull. "I know, baby, I know", Joel tried to gently hold onto you, but the moment his palms touched your arms, you let out the loudest scream. Pushing him away as you turned to the other side of the bed. You dragged your feet over the cold concrete. Sinking to the floor without even being able to take a step forward. Joel rounded the bed as he kneeled in front of you.
"They are dead," you cried out, pulling at Joel's shirt, "My babies… I need to go, I need to…", you tried to pull yourself up by using Joel to brace yourself, but that only made you glance down at your hands, which were still slightly stained by the dried blood that had been on them. "Y/N, you need to calm down. Or they will come in here and", but you paid Joel no mind as you pulled your hands up so you could look at them.
"Get it off," you whispered, "Get it off," pushing your arms towards Joel as you screeched. Joel had scrubbed your unconscious body for hours. There was nothing more he could do. "Joel, get it off," you said once more, tears spilling from your eyes, and Joel couldn't bring himself to do anything. "It's everywhere, get it off", you moved your hand to rub at your skin. All you saw was blood. Blood everywhere. Rubbing turned into scratching, and soon your nails were raking over your skin. Joel quickly caught both of your wrists in his hands. Shaking you slightly as if in hopes of making your return to your senses. "Make it stop", you cried out, hallow eyes looking at Joel. "There's nothing on your hands, love", he barely managed to sound somewhat like himself. But you just shook your head at him, "There's blood all over them. Our kids' blood, Joel."
That was a day ago. Now you just lay there. Leafless. No movements. Eyes blinking once in a while. The only indication that you were still alive. Now Joel wished you would scream. The silence was torture. It was too loud. It pulled you so far away from him. Tommy clapped his brother on the back a couple of times before pulling away. "Get her ready. I'll look at how to get the best spot for you and make sure you two stay together," Joel said nothing. He hoped his eyes said enough. "You look after her. We'll get her back up on her feet," Joel could tell that even if Tommy tried to keep it somewhat positive, he didn't fully believe it himself. Didn't believe that there was any coming back from this. Nor did he believe that you would ever be the same. But Joel nodded anyway.
"Hey", Joel ran a hand over your forehead, once he stepped back into the little room, but didn't get a single movement in return. Not that he was expecting it. "We will have to get you dressed, okay? Then we'll need to go somewhere," Joel said, carefully pulling the blanket off your body before reaching for your clothes. Clothes he had washed. Wash off your kids' blood. Blood that seemed never-ending.
You were shivering. It hadn't stopped ever since you were brought in the first QZ. It had died down a bit. But there wasn't a moment when the quivering stopped. Joel pressed a kiss to your forehead as he walked through the corridor. Everyone was on high alert, and the soldiers were tired. Jumpy even. More than one person was killed here simply in the aftermath of unimaginable stress and anxiety. They only let healthy, strong people stay. Anyone with any injury, even the slightest one, was shot. You needed to stand on your own two feet. Walk through the lines of different specialists. Prove yourself worthy of surviving. And even that didn't guarantee you anything. You could have been hit by a bullet at any point.
You, however, were in no condition to stand. There was no way you could walk, much less talk. "Keep your head at the crook of my neck, love", Joel guided your head to rest there, "I will not let go of you even for a second. No one who will approach us will take you away from me," and at this point, Joel wasn't sure if he was still reassuring you or if it had turned to self-reassuring now. With the help of the doctor who assisted you just as you were brought here. They filed the documents of you having a miscarriage. Right here at the QZ. A piece of paper that had the main doctor's signature and forbade you from walking. That had high dosages of medicine marked as a fallacious move by the doctor itself. That you were more than a healthy female before that, and that you would regain that strength once the medication wore off. The only hope Joel had of getting you out of here alive was that piece of paper. And if that didn't work… Well, Joel was ready to kill anyone who stood in his way.
"Joel," Ellie's sad voice pulled the male out of the trance, "Sorry, I don't know why I'm telling you all of this." Joel rested his palms on his knees, ready to stand up, but Ellie quickly inched forward. It seemed to her that the man in front of her was no longer the same Joel she knew. "How did you… how did you get through that?", she knew the question was stupid. Joel let out a sad chuckle followed by a painful sigh, "You don't even have an idea how much strength you have until you are forced to use it. That's when you truly see your power". Joel had locked his pain away. Behind a plethora of locks, doors, and crevices. So no one could see it. No one could access it. Draped a shield of coldness on top of it. The coldness made Joel seem more like an animal than a human. He had to become a monster in order to protect the only thing that kept his heart beating. Nothing was off-limits when it came to you.
"I felt like I was failing every day. Every day that I saw her lying there," Joel shook his head at the images that haunted him. The feeling of helplessness flowed through him. Joel had found a woman who could pretend to be you for the time being. Who could take your evening shifts. Who kept the target off your back. No one was allowed to lay around in the QZ, there was too much work as it was. "Joel you were far from failing her", Ellie said putting her hand on Joel's palm, "It feels different kiddo when you see someone you love drifting away".
All the worried looks that Joel would give you made sense now. All the times he would walk up to you. Taking a hold of your hand as he looked at you. Moving to kiss your hands at the time, if not that then, Joel would just hold them in his much bigger palms. At the time, Ellie thought that by doing that, Joel was just trying to warm them up during the cold evenings, but now it had a way bigger meaning behind it. That was Joel's silent attempt to make sure that you stayed with him. That you wouldn't drift away. Like a true guard at night, standing his watch. Always ready to fight for you.
"And I felt horrible that I left him all alone", the sound of your voice made the two of them turn toward the door. "I kept on telling myself to get up. You need to do that for Joel, but…", you shrugged your shoulders. Joel reached his arm towards you, and you instantly walked close to him. Settling down on his lap. His arm snaked around your middle as Joel pressed a loving kiss to the top of your head. "I never blamed you for it," Joel whispered, looking straight into your eyes. "I know because you're an angel." You cupped his face gently. Leaning in to press your forehead to his. Brushing your fingers under Joel's eyes as you wiped away the last tears.
This man was everything. If you'd fallen for him and his sense of humor back then. The fact that there was never a dull moment with him that even the most serious moments could be turned into fits of laughter. If you had fallen for how attentive and caring he was toward your kids. The way he always put them first. The way he sat in the bathroom for hours learning how to braid Sarah's hair or how he played astronauts with Momo even after the longest shift. Putting him over his shoulder or back as he ran around the living room making all sorts of noises. Then Joel turned into a rock—a whole mountain that shielded you from the restless sea that threatened to drown you. Never moving. Never scared.
"I don't want you to feel like we've been using you as some sort of… as our kids' replacement. The love I feel towards you…" you started, but Ellie quickly shook her head. "How could I? No, Y/N never," she said quickly, and you reached for her hands. "You are a special girl, Ellie, so special," you said as you brushed your fingers over her cheek, and she leaned into your touch. Trying to savor it for as long as possible. "You both are like my parents and I've never felt that..", Ellie's bottom lip trembled. Joel reached out to her as well.
"And you are our girl," Joel said, his voice shaky, but he knew he had to say it. Had to let her know that his coldness toward her at the start was just his defensive response. His fear of the unknown. The fear of it all ending the same. But Joel knew that once his nightmare shifted and he started to see Ellie dying in Sarah's or Momo's place, he knew that she had sneaked past his guard. Ellie had managed to find that well-hidden spark inside Joel's heart. And there was nothing that could have been done about it.
Ellie wrapped her hands over both of your shoulders, pulling you both into a hug. A light cry slipped from her lips. Your hand instantly moved to rub her back in hopes of soothing her. Joel pressed a tender kiss to the crown of her head before turning his eyes to you. Your teary eyes were already looking back at him. You mouthed a silent "I love you" to him, which Joel returned straight away, followed by a light smile.
Once Ellie pulled away, you both looked at her with fondness. "Thank you for sharing this with me. You didn't have to, but you did," she said, as you rubbed away her tears the same way you had done before. "You are a part of the family now. Family doesn't have secrets," you said softly. "Plus, I think me and Y/N both needed closure", you nodded your head at Joel's words. You had told him multiple times that it was eating you alive that you were keeping this way from Ellie. You could tell that she sensed that something was wrong; she just never asked.
"Do you want to see a picture of them?", you asked, turning to Joel, who you knew had kept a picture of you four. The one he always carried around with him. Tommy had taken it on Momo's second birthday. The summer was in full swing, so you decided to have a barbecue outside. You stood there in a flowy dress, laughing at Sarah, who had a surprised look on her face since Joel had rubbed barbecue sauce on her cheek. Joel's head was thrown back as he laughed. Even Momo, who was nestled in your arms, had somewhat of a grin on his face.
"Sarah would have loved you", Ellie lifted her eyes away from the picture to the sound of Joel's voice. You hummed in agreement, "Momo would have been all over you as well you two cheeky bunch would have gotten into so much trouble". Ellie glanced back down. The image that she saw frozen in front of her seemed almost impossible compared to the two people she had met. But now she knew more than better to not judge the book by its cover. The deepest and most painful scars were always hidden the deepest.
"I would have loved to know them", Ellie said dragging her finger over their faces, "Momo, looks like a minute version of Joel". You let out a little laugh, "That's what I said. Imagine how mad I was after carrying him for nine months and he popped out looking nothing like me". Joel cracked a smile, looking down at the photograph himself. The one he barely pulled out these days.
"If we stay in Jackson, we must build them memorial stones and plant flowers all around them," Ellie said firmly. The tears picked up at the corners of your eyes as you gazed at her. "That's a really beautiful idea, Ellie bear," you said, running your fingers over her hair. Joel nudged Ellie's side playfully, making her let out a chuckle before he brought you closer to him once again. Time healed scars, even if slowly. But you two were here and now you had Ellie by your side. Your hearts, even if covered in scars, still beat for one another. Together, you were capable of anything and everything. Life has already proven that.

20 and 10 for the asks <3 <3
HEY TORTA!! <3 <3
GASPP I'M GLAD YOU'RE ASKING ABOUT HER HAHAH. SORRY IF I'M TAKE LONG TIME TO ANSWER IT! :((
10.What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with her?
Ohh boy. You wouldn't believe how much Alternative Universe I made for her. A few AU I remember is her original Universe - Which she was an AI Android with grey motivation and past, and the setting was in post-apocalyptic world where half of the living creature on earth was dead after some incidents. And I kinda used her as an character in my Harry Potter roleplay (she is a villain-)
I'm also currently working on my own AU with her and König as the character hehe.
The first one I guess you already know ;)
An immortal necromancer with her undead knight. This one was inspired by Mili song "Ga1ahad and Scientific Witchery"
So I can see you again
So I can kill you again -both
My brains accelerate -Knight
And I'll -Witch Reassemble you again -both
I appreciate your thoughts
But you've given me too much to tolerate -Knight
I've done so much for you
But you treat me this way -Witch
===
For the second AU is kinda dark (?) I never finished the plot and it was inspired by x0o0x song "冥路"
The plot is about a youtuber/influencer that like to visit abandonment place and she went into a rural area to document an old left base even though there's so much rumour about many people get disappear after they visit that building.
I have a rough scenario about this in my note haha, but i guess I'll still change it later
===
The crumbling ruins of the old military base had long been a subject of rumor and mystery in the remote countryside. Some said it was haunted by ghosts of fallen soldiers. Others claimed a feral beast lurked within, preying on trespassers.
Only the bravest of explorers dared venture through the rusting gates under cover of night. None who entered were ever seen again.
As a streamer, You had made a name for yourself documenting adventures through allegedly haunted locations. When word of the abandoned base reached you, you simply had to investigate. Alone and after sunset, you slipped into the decrepit compound, camera rolling as you narrated in hushed tones.
The first few buildings revealed nothing but dust and debris. As You rounded a dark corner, a figure emerged from the shadows - a tall, broad man in tattered military fatigues, eyeing your camera with a hollow gaze.
"Hello...I didn't expect to find anyone out here. I'm just exploring, I'll be on my way--"
He seized your wrist in an iron grip. Close up, you noticed scars criss-crossing his stubbled face, and something feral in his deadened eyes.
"No one trespasses here. You'll stay." His voice rasped as if disused. Your heart raced, trying to calmly reason with the unstable veteran. But he merely dragged you deeper into the ruins, to a cellar door opening with a rusty squeal.
Down the creaking stairs, You glimpsed your end - a grimy room filled with remnants of those who came before. Your streaming career would end here, in this hell of a madman's making. Unless you could somehow find a way to escape...or turn the tables on your captor
Don't worry, I'll take care of you-
20.Does she have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does she manifest?
Having lost so much control over life's cruelties, Snow guarded jealously what few joys remained in her tattered grasp.
Seeing peers bond closer stirred resentment's bitter tang, irrational logic insisting such intimacy mocked her inability to let down walls. She masked unease through charming jabs, joking any togetherness risked "stealing" one another from her orbit alone.
Less obvious, loneliness twisted innocent acts into perceived betrayals. If comrades gathered without her, paranoid logic conjured conspiracies against fractured minds too tired to fight shadows alone. Jealousy twisted friendships strained by her own detachment into fresh grudges deepening already cavernous isolation.
But she will still outwardly smiled through turmoil reminding she chose this path herself through walls erected in desperation's bid for survival this far. Envy remained her dirty secret, lest it brand weakness compromising years constructing impenetrable facades of resilience and control leaving none suspecting festering loneliness beneath.

[ 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓 ] ― sender wraps a soft blanket around receiver’s shoulders Warm, not enough to confuse his body, yet not so little that it did not keep the warmth in. The façade that had slowly become his everyday had been undone at the sight. Any cloak or cloth that he could remove to warm him had been thrown off and promptly wrapped around the boy. When had been the last time he held him so close? Sylvain's face rested under his and the chill on contact left his hands timid. Timid as they were, they would hold as tightly as they could> "Sylvain......" He needed him to speak...say something...move any more than the tiny whimpers and hiccups that seemed all he was capable of now. The trembling was terrifying. "Say...once we return to Fhirdiad...to see Dimitri and the king....you'll join me for a game...won't you?" Finally they were sat by the fire and he made sure to hold Sylvain tight, even if he was starting to get hot from the heat of it. "If you best me...I'll make sure to take you to the bakery...any treat you could want, so long...as you win of course." His hand gently held damp locks of hair, soon resting over his ears. There was too much commotion...he had already had his fill of that this day. "Pull through...you must..." He had regained that composure, in his face at least...but his voice couldn't betray the desperation in his heart...nor could his arms stop themselves from holding the boy as if even a bit of hesitation might see him simply slip away...
(tw: mentions of domestic abuse between siblings, mentions of death)
Sylvain had an idea of what death most likely felt like. He knew of soldiers and knights who marched to war and ended up slain by a blade, arrow or burst of magic- and of course he knew of disease and famine. But to the young heir, he always saw death in the form of a wave of cold, slowly rising as it freezes and takes one’s body and soul. Even if one is burnt alive, Sylvain wondered if cold wasn’t what received them as they crossed the river of death. Ironic, considering how the Goddess was always portrayed as a warmly-lit divine maiden, with a gentle and nurturing expression on her face.
But then he also imagined that the Goddess would come after the rush of cold- her embrace, or the flames of hell. The moment one met their end they’d be plunged in freezing cold and left to wait and see if they’d be touched by the Mother’s comforting hands or licked by the blazes of the damned.
For a boy whose age remained in the single digits, he had already created a solid idea of what death would be like- not because he fantasized about it, but because his brain had already begun to face it as a possibility that winter afternoon, arms tightly wrapped around his own knees as he no longer had the strength to tilt his neck to look up. The shallow water offered no risks of drowning, instead feeding on his body heat until he couldn’t even feel pain radiating from his injuries anymore, or feel his fingers, or toes.
He had it coming, really. He should’ve never accepted taking a walk with Miklan, but then again, he’d drag him outside regardless of his answer. And even if Sylvain kicked and screamed, it would only delay the inevitable. Even as his brother asked him to look over the well’s edge, saying there was something interesting at the bottom, Sylvain should’ve known that his brother would never do that without a purpose. If anything he was lucky that the fall didn’t break his neck- he had only broken his ankle. Or at least that’s what he could tell before the cold made it impossible to even feel it.
At the bottom of that well, Sylvain had begun to accept it- that’s it. He couldn’t fight it even if he wanted to, his jaw shivering and his lips too numb for him to even scream for help or cry. Nestling his head on his knees as he curled into himself, a futile attempt to preserve body heat, he waited. The cold he feared, it was his end. He was going to die.
The next thing he knew, there was warmth and he was almost sure that he had met his end. But instead of a world of light beyond the sky, it was nighttime and above was a ceiling of stone and wood. As soft golden eyes struggled to peek through ginger eyelashes, hints of his location slowly made themselves known. The sound and light from a fireplace to his side, the blurry shapes of furniture illuminated by moonlight, the smell of wood and leather- home.
And instead of the Goddess’ loving embrace, he felt warm blankets and pelts restricting his movements, and a hand caressing his head. A hand much too big to belong to the Goddess or his mother, and much too caring to belong to Miklan. His father was the one who cradled his body, whispering things Sylvain was still too dazed to fully understand but in a tone he never heard from the man before. Matthias was always so serious, so distant. He wasn’t cruel like his brother, but he wasn’t soft and gentle like his mother. A stern, solid pillar of strength and support whose love was expressed by urging him to become stronger and more skilled- or so the young boy had chosen to interpret his father’s absence as.
It felt easier to accept it that way, at least.
“Dad…” The battle to force his voice out was won, earning him an almost whimper. Staying awake was a daunting challenge in itself, so anything more than that would be at the price of whatever efforts his tiny body could provide.
He didn’t really know what to do or say. “...sorry…” Perhaps this, for his carelessness. Father spent so much time teaching him strategy only for him to fall for such a predictable move. Matthias would surely be angry at him for this later.
Or perhaps it was an apology for his own selfishness, as he chose to use whatever energy he had left to try to enjoy the embrace provided by his father. The trembling slowly dissipated as his breathing stabilized into a steady rhythm, eyes blinking lazily, staring at nothing in particular.
He truly was something else, to act this spoiled. But the last time his father had hugged him like that had been so many moons ago, that perhaps nearly dying was worth it after all.

Winter's End
Garrus had been waiting for a moment like this to come up. It had been too long since he had last been up here, taking in the arctic air. The Eye of the North was well built, but the Shiverpeaks made their presence known by sending gusts of wind and snow against its walls hard enough to keep everyone close to the bonfires that burned day and night. Now two years later he had finally returned, striding past the various merchants and soldiers, nodding in response to the voices calling out "Commander" to him to acknowledge that he'd heard them all.
Another time he would stop and catch up and see how they were all faring. Today he had business.
He continued down the hallway to the antechamber where Aurene had held her court, so to speak. Nowadays it was mostly empty, save for him.
Bangar had been returned to the cell since he was released from Jormag's magic and fully healed. The legions had wanted nothing to do with him, for the moment at least, but Garrus was sure that they would be dragging his sorry ass to the Citadel soon to jail him there instead for the rest of his natural days. Not if I have anything to say about that, Garrus thought with a grim smile as he entered the chamber.
"Well, well." Bangar lifted his head, but didn't stand up. "The wonderful Commander Firstblood takes time from his busy schedule to grace me with his presence. What did I do to deserve a visit?"
"Wrapping something up." Garrus rolled his shoulders back, fighting the urge to wince as a joint popped in one of them. "Get up."
"Is that an order?"
Burn me, how did anyone ever take him seriously as an imperator when all he ever did was talk down to everyone he ever interacted with? Garrus bared his teeth. "I said, get up!"
Bangar staggered to his feet, but managed to regain his smug expression after a moment. "Yes sir," he rasped.
Garrus started circling the cage. "Sounds like the throat is still damaged."
"Yes, well, your precious dragon couldn't be bothered to heal me. Only the special few get her magic touch apparent-LECH-!"
Bangar's taunting was cut off by Garrus's hand shooting out between the bars to wrap around his throat, thumb pressed tight against the former leader of the Blood Legion's windpipe. The older charr desperately tried to dig his claws into Garrus's arm, but couldn't pierce through the leather and metal of his glove. "What a coincidence," Garrus growled, staring into Bangar's eyes as he spoke, "that you bring up Aurene's healing magic right now."
"Are you really... going to beat me... for shooting you?" Bangar wheezed.
"No, because that would be foolish." He watched as Bangar relaxed ever so slightly. "I'm going to beat you for what you did to Qirri. Then I'll shoot you for shooting me."
"This is about that rat?!" Bangar somehow managed to raise his voice.
"This is about my guildmate-" Garrus paused to drag Bangar forward, off-balance, to slam his head into the bars of the cage- "and about a member of my warband." He slammed him into the bars again, harder. "This is about a challenge to me as Aurene's champion." A third slam, resulting in blood starting to dribble from Bangar's nose. "This is about you being a coward, and a failure as a leader!" A fourth and final slam that rattled the cage, and split the browridge above Bangar's left eye, dropped the older charr to the floor of the cage when Garrus let go of his throat and stepped back.
"You didn't do half of what I did to that weakling..." Bangar froze when he looked at Garrus- or more at the bow he was drawing back.
"Look familiar?" Garrus asked. "The boy's got more draw strength than I thought he did. You were right to be afraid of him." Deep breath. Find your stance. Find your target. You'll only get one shot. "I hope you find something like peace in the Mists, Ruinbringer."
The bowstring sang out as he released the arrow, and a soft wet sound followed as it buried itself in Bangar's throat. Garrus walked back over to yank it free, staring back down at the former imperator until the light left his eyes.
He teleported himself home.

Thank you, for sending in this request, I'll try and give this fic justice, hopefully, it's to your liking.
MASTER LIST | NSFW CONTENT
Quilge
Quilge is already a very possessive man, he doesn't like it when you're disobeying him, he'd prefer it if you were his good little soldier. But he's completely engulfed in rage and anger, at the sight of you laughing and chatting with those other lesser than soldiers. They aren't as strong as he was, they aren't as fast as he was, they weren't even as talented as him.
They were literally nobodies. His teeth gritted together, and his eyes locked onto your figure. He marched over toward where you were at. At the sight of him you stopped laughing and you gulped. He didn't exactly look so happy at the moment. The other soldiers noticed your sudden quietness and they looked to where you were looking at. They immediately straighten up at the sight of him.
He stopped in front of you all, and he observed you through his shades. He then reached forward, and he snatched you toward him, his grip was tight, and you winced a little at the force of it. He stared at you, almost begging for you to complain. You clamped your mouth shut and he seemed pleased with that. He then glared at the other soldiers.
"Drop and give me 150, I'll be back shortly, and when I do get back you better be on 100. If not, you'll be sorry." He said, before he turned on his heel, his grip tight on you as he dragged you along with him. You nearly stumbled a few times, trying to keep up with his fast strides. Eventually you both made it to your shared room. He pushed you in and he slammed the door shut.
You nearly tripped, but you were able to stable yourself, but your shoulders were gripped tightly, and you were whipped around, his grip on your shoulders where tight and you quietly whimpered from his grip. "You're not allowed near any of those simpletons, and I clear?" He said through clenched teeth. You looked up at him, your face twisted in pain, and you nodded. He stared at you a bit longer, those dark shades reflecting your face.
He then relaxed and his grip loosened some, his hands slid down your arms and they rested on your hands, he then sighed. You relaxed as well and then you smiled at him. "You have nothing to worry about, Qui, I'll always be yours, and you'll always be mine." You said, as you gripped his hands in your own. He returned the grip, before one of his hands slipped from yours and he cupped your cheek.
"Forever." He said, and you leaned into his hand, your free hand cupping his larger one on your cheek. "Forever and always, until the end of time."
Askin
Askin is a rather chill guy, he doesn't really care about much, but he did have an image to upkeep, and he refused to have you embarrassing him. He's a benevolent lover, and he lets you do what you wish most of the time. But he won't stand for another touching on you. His pride wouldn't allow that.
So seeing you play around with a few of the others made his blood boil in a way that it never has before. He walked calmly over toward you both, hands in his pockets as he approached. Your little game was interrupted when he stopped before you both. You both looked over at him, a smile on your faces. "Hey, Ask!! What's up!?" You excitedly asked, your adrenaline pumping.
He said nothing, his face was unreadable as he observed the other person, almost as if he was sizing them up. "Nothing much, just came looking for you, my love." He said, as his eyes pierced into the other persons eyes. Their shoulders tensed and they laughed nervously catching your attention. "Huh? What's up?" You asked them, they profusely apologized as the bowed over and over again, claiming that they had to cut your game short, they had errands to run.
You gave them a smiled and waved them off, and the moment you did, they ran for the hills. You stared at their retreating form for a while, Askin walked up next to you, watching them run away and around a corner. "Psh, good riddance." He said before he stalked off. You looked over at him, an accusing look upon your face. "Askin, did you make them run off?" You asked him in an annoyed tone. He continued to walk on, his head held high.
You marched after him, wanting answers. "HEY, I KNOW YOU HEAR ME UP THERE!!" You shouted as you stomped after him. He continued walking as he answered you. "Yeah, I did, but I don't care." He said in a nonchalant voice. You glared at the back of his head. "And why not? They were my friend and you made them run off." You said in an angered tone. He suddenly stopped and he whirled around. Your eyes widen in shock, his fingers gently holding your chin. "Because you're mine, and mine alone, I hate sharing." He spoke.
Your eyes danced over his face, your face warming up from a blush, he smirked satisfied, and he continued walking. You stared at him for a moment, calming your heart, before you raced after him. "HEY, THAT'S NO FAIR!!! GET BACK HERE!!" You shouted as you chased him down.
Cang
Cang is a pretty serious man, and he would've already warned you to not make him angry or jealous, or else you'll suffer his wrath, and he didn't want to hurt you. So, you'd pretty much stay inside or off to yourself most of the time, but you didn't expect this from the oh so serious Cang.
You were resting on the couch, you were sitting up, resting in the cool room, on your lap sat your pet, and your hand was slowly stroking their fur, your fingers going through it was comforting. You released a deep sigh, so ever content. By the doorway was Cang, half of his body was peaking around the door frame, as he glared daggers at the animal. He was muttering the same words over and over again.
"My thighs, my thighs, my thighs, my thighs, my thighs, my thighs, my thighs." It was quite sinister looking. The animal looked over its shoulder at Cang and it made eye contact with him, seeming to sense his bloodlust. He glared back at it and the animal seemed to smirk. A vein popped out on his cheek, and he bit his lip.
'Damn animal.' he cursed it in his mind. You were blissfully unaware of the small war that was being waged, and a shadow over came you. You opened your eyes, and you looked, seeing Cang's neural face. You smiled up at him. His brow twitched at your smile. 'Cute.' He thought, before he crawled on the couch, you watched him get comfortable, before he glared at the animal once more and it glared back.
They stared at each other a bit longer, before Cang pushed it off with a swift jab. "Oops." He said in a careless tone. The animal made a noise of surprise when it was pushed off, and you reacted out of reflex to catch it, but Cang dropped his head on your lap, and he wrapped his arms around your waist. "Ehch, Cang, move. I have to check on out pet, you just pushed it!!" You whined as you struggled to get him off, but he was too strong, and eventually you gave up.
You sighed in defeat, and you leaned back, you then looked down at him with a tired look, but then you smiled down at him and you ran your fingers through his hair. "You're so silly Cang, you're cute when you're jealous." You said, he grumbled but he said nothing as he pressed his face into your stomach. You chuckled as you continued to rub his hair and his back.
"My Jealous Boy."

Apple tree of hope for the lost soul.
I wanted to get some thoughts out on L'ame Perdue (lost soul). After viewing it, I can't help but see Beth everywhere in the symbolism already.
The theme I've harped on about for years is still in play, and that theme is summed up in this saying....The end is the beginning, and the beginning is the end.
The basic idea behind this is that themes, words, and visuals from Beth's "death" time frame will be prevalent again when she returns, and that includes things mentioned by actors in interviews and social media posts.
Here are a few big ones I picked out.
Drowning Man was the song Norman chose to listen to while filming Coda...
An obvious reference to the ocean, water, and almost drowning. But it's ultimately a song about a love that will last forever.
The opening scene of L'ame Perdue perfectly fulfils this infinity loop.
Absolutely iconic and symbolically massive, this is how they chose to open the Daryl Dixon (all about Daryl) spin-off with an almost drowning man who is quite literally on his way to the city of Love ❤️ 😍
Some of the lyrics:
I'll cross the sky for your love
And I understand
These winds and tides
This change of times
Won't drag you away
Hold on, and hold on tightly
Hold on, and don't let go of my love
The storms will pass (the storm will pass)
It won't be long now (it won't be long now)
His love will last
His love will last, forever.
The next symbolic fulfilment I want to focus on is the apple and apple tree.
We see Daryl meet two strangers on his travels. He traids with them, medical supplies for apples...
Norman has, in the past, referenced Beth as being like finding an apple tree in the forest. Searching for miles and finding something good (apples)
Here is an interview from Season 4/5 where he used Apple symbolism and tied it to finding Beth.
youtube
The scene in L'ame Perdue shows Daryl eating an apple 🍎, meaning symbolically, he finds Beth!
The scene goes on to show two French 'soldiers' come along, and they insist that Daryl sit down. So he does, on one of the very same boxes that the apples are kept in...
This is another significant moment because of this interview...
youtube
Norman talks about sitting on an apple box crying before shooting the scene where he carries Beth out.
After sitting on the apple box in L'ame Perdue, Daryl almost gets shot in the head...
The so-called coincidences just keep coming...
Next is the series motto. Hope is not lost.
Conveniently, the motto is placed where the missing tip of the eiffel tower would be. For those who missed past posts on this, and all cred to @frangipanilove for the Sirus finds. The top of the eiffel Tower is infact a powerful radio transmitter (Sirius). Here, hope is equated with the missing radio (Sirius), and that hope is Beth, as you'll see below.
This motto and Beth being equal to hope is again mentioned by Norman in this interview...
youtube
There is so much more in this episode, but I wanted to share just a few to get started. This series is already giving me hope, 🌟 in hope finally being found.

Since I have to replay the game fully in order to get access to better companion interactions in the epilogue camp, please consider this me just speculating / headcanoning interactions. (Includes the bard oc of my friend.) Writing isn't polished, just rough idea.
Of course, might be spoilers for those who did not finish the game ever. You were warned.
It's been six months since the adventure ended. Astarion and Loki had settled into their new life as lord and consort. The vampire aristocracy was a messy ordeal, but given Astarion's prowess, it was easier to keep them under his thumb. Of course, the paranoia of having enemies close never left either of them... Gale and Seldazr both frequently visited the manor to drop by for a while. Gale went on his usual wizardry adventures, in attempts to procure artefacts for unclear reasons.. He remained in a relationship with Loki and Astarion, but had taken time away to think about his own goals and desires for the future knowing he'd always be welcomed back. As for Seldazr, he mandatorily took breaks of his adventuring and book writing to make sure Scratch got to see Kiwi often enough. The owlbear had become too big and too used to living in the manor's garden. Kiwi did enjoy the attention he attracted. For Loki, things did not go as expected. He was attacked by a stray party of monster hunters not too long after moving into the palace, and had secluded himself to his and Astarion's room for several months. The nightmares never left, but they had lessened. Grymforge, the shadowlands, the githyanki creche, Cazador... Many more. Some of the toughest battles haunted his mind with different recollection, muddling his memories. While Loki was keen on keeping himself inside to focus on healing his mind, he was met with a letter from Withers himself.. Astarion would've probably ignored it (busy as he is) if he didn't think the occasion would be a good experience for Loki.. And thus he dragged his consort out with the promise they'd see Gale, Seldazr, and everyone else again. Even Karlach and Wyll?
Loki: [shuffling around nervously] Astarion: Dear, stop fidgeting. You'll be fine. [holds his arm around Loki's waist] Loki: I just did not expect to this place again.. Seems like withers was busy. Astarion: Hmm, I would've preferred to host a party myself... Loki: That's just more work isn't it? You can't do everything, besides we were invited.. It would look bad not to show. Astarion: I thought you wanted to stay inside? Tk tk tk. Loki: Right. Right. I need to stop moping. I'll mingle.. They stop to see Seldazr annoying the bard in the midst of camp with a barrage of questions.. Not too unfamiliar, but best left be until he can redirect his attention to his friends.
Loki: Wyll? Is that you? You look so.. Buff. How did you get here? Wyll: I've been Monster hunting in avernus! Withers provided a portal.. I've got lots of stories to tell. Loki: ..A portal? Maybe don't say that one out loud. [looks over to see Astarion show off his bat form to halsin, he chuckles] Wyll: Enough about me- There's something different about you.. Karlach: [walks up, surprising Loki] Soldier! It's his hair. It got so long! Loki: I keep forgetting about that... [brushes his hair out of his face] No clue what I look like nowadays... Karlach- How are you here? Isn't your engine.. Karlach: Ah, calm down.. It's fine- For now! It's just for tonight. It won't bust, no worries. Loki: Does that mean I can get a hug? Karlach: Of course!! [hugs him tightly] Momma K got so many hugs to give, I've been saving them up. Loki: Oof- Are Lae'zel and Shadowheart here too..? Wyll: I think they're late..? I haven't seen Gale yet either. [puts his arm around Karlach] Loki: Are you two..? Karlach: Verily! [leans into Wyll, smiling brightly] Wyll: Speaking of couples, you're looking rather princely Loki. Are you sure you're not a spoiled husband by now? Loki: Gods.. Don't tease me. I'm still not used to it. [looks flustered] Loki looks over to see Jaheira and Minsc interrogate Astarion, but he's casually deflecting them.. They briefly make eye contact, only for Astarion to gesture to Loki to have fun and not worry about anything.
It didn't take long for a Griffon to show up in the camp, mounted by Lae'zel and Shadowheart. The two proudly announced themselves to have eloped only recently. Lae'zel then continued to brag about their mount, even though she casually compared it to a dragon.. Then Shadowheart would go on and on about this Imp they've adopted, Lae'zel's expression went from prideful to mildly flustered and annoyed, remarking she would have tossed it if Shadowheart didn't like the imp so much.
Gale essentially arrived, with Tara on his shoulder, placing himself in between Astarion, Minsc and Jaheira in hopes to cool off their conversation. Then he would brag about some trinket he uncovered recently, showing off an assemblage of things he's collected during his adventures.. Needless to say, Astarion looked thankful for the arrival of his boyfriend even if he didn't express it openly.
The night went on, many exchanging stories, sharing laughs. Reminiscing about the adventure amongst other things. Scratch was playing with a seemingly familiar object, refusing to let it go even though he wanted it to be thrown. Some remarks were made about Loki's massive change in appearance, and how no one expected Lae'zel to ever get married.. It was a good party. It should be a yearly event, Loki thought. Cheers.

#you jest#(or not i don't know)#but if anyone's chuck-won-truthing#i do feel jack brainwashing cas is the place to start#since free will is an important theme#and cas has his free will compromised via @somnatine
I think it was @baby--spinach who once left some tags in my notifs that put this very very succinctly (and I'm going to butcher it but): Cas's vision of paradise in season 12 lead him to, in some sense, act against what he knew Dean stood for—what he agreed to stand against too in 4.22.
DEAN Destiny? Don't give me that "holy" crap. Destiny, God's plan... It's all a bunch of lies, you poor, stupid son of a bitch! It's just a way for your bosses to keep me and keep you in line! You know what's real? People, families -- that's real. And you're gonna watch them all burn? CASTIEL What is so worth saving? I see nothing but pain here. I see inside you. I see your guilt, your anger, confusion. In paradise, all is forgiven. You'll be at peace. Even with Sam. DEAN You can take your peace... and shove it up your lily-white ass. 'Cause I'll take the pain and the guilt. I'll even take Sam as is. It's a lot better than being some Stepford bitch in paradise. This is simple, Cas! No more crap about being a good soldier. There is a right and there is a wrong here, and you know it. (CASTIEL turns away) Look at me! (DEAN grabs CASTIEL’s shoulder and turns CASTIEL back to face him) You know it! You were gonna help me once, weren't you? You were gonna warn me about all this, before they dragged you back to Bible camp. Help me -- now. Please.
A lot of Cas's actions in the late seasons—the ones that really get under Dean's skin—are in some sense related to (and here I'm pulling from a fix-it fic by funnywings that I 100% recommend) the idea that maybe... a part of Cas would like to be the author of Dean's life. When Cas refuses to keep his family in the loop and secretively makes plans to secure their futures in ways they don't even always know about... he is in some sense deciding what he thinks is best for them, isn't he? He is shaping their futures to his vision.
It isn't malicious, and it isn't selfishly motivated (it's motivated by love!) and Cas isn't even fully cognizant of the toll... but I can't stop thinking about Dean's issues with Cas's lone wolf mentality and lack of communication, and how Cas gets fed this vision of paradise, and how that choice Cas and Kelly make to let Kelly die in order to bring Jack into the world with his full powers (instead of as a normal baby like Sam and Dean planned) purely so Jack can secure that enticing vision for them... it feeds into every single thing that happens after, like so many dominoes lined in a row ready to be toppled (Cas and Jack unwitting links in the chain!)
Bringing Jack into the world with his full powers leads to: Cas and Crowley's deaths and Mary's disappearance -> the opening of portals to other worlds -> AU Michael -> Dean feeling he has no choice but to say "Yes" to save Sam and Jack -> Jack losing his soul -> Soulless Jack killing Mary. And those are just the big strokes that contribute to Dean's mental breakdown (Jack's storyline also plays into a lot of Dean's existing trauma in much more subtle ways--parentification, the parallel with Sam's powers, etc). This was a mental breakdown Chuck shaped masterfully to bring them to 14.20 and get his patricidal/fratricidal ending. No wonder he was so excited, and so angry when it all failed because that final domino refused to drop!
Given that Jack seems to have zero cognizance of the paradise visions Cas and Kelly saw, I have to wonder if Chuck legitimately was the one behind what they saw. Perhaps he understood what drove Cas—what would entice him—he wanted to shape his and Kelly's choices to direct the flow of causality all the way to "Moriah", and then when that failed, 15.17.
We never talk about Jack’s devil baby brainwashing era and that is so sad. Show him some respect.

Can I request a Levi x reader love story based on the song "Nancy Maulligan" sing by Ed Sheeran. Another part of the song is that reader is from Marley and Levi is obviously in Eldian.
I already requested this to another writer in Wattpad but I wanna see the others perspective of writing this.
So, I don't like Ed Sheeran (I know a lot of people would be upset with this, I just don't like his stuff.) I have read the song over and over and I will try and follow the plot of it? I'll try my best and I'm sorry if I don't do a good job.
@kenkopanda-art <3
I'm gonna marry the woman I love.
Pairing: Levi x Reader
Genre and tags: Canon world, romance, falling in love, cute, fluff, slight forbidden love? happy ending, proposals, timeskips.
Concept: While in Marley investigating the enemy land, Levi takes one of the scouts to the hospital. He meets you, a sweet nurse who is helping out the soldiers. Levi keeps coming back to see you in his time in Marley and takes you on dates. Levi eventually tells you who he is and assumes you want him gone, but instead, you want to run away with him. Levi runs off with you to Paradis and gets you a job at the orphanage as the nurse there. As time goes on, you marry Levi and have children with him. You both grow old together and have many grandkids.
Levi dragged Connie along to the hospital with blood trickling from his nose and lip. "Tch, I told you to slow down."
Connie whined. "Sorry, Captain."
He shoved Connie inside the hospital and saw a few people inside. He huffed in annoyance at having to look after Connie. He looked over to a nurse walking over and felt his heart stop. He flushed red as you laughed at a little kid and ruffled his hair. He gulped hard when you walked over to him.
You smiled softly as you felt a flutter in your chest. "Hello, how can I help?"
Levi cleared his throat. "I uh...my friend here hurt himself. He fell over."
You cupped Connie's face and inspected it. "I don't feel anything broken." You grabbed your medical things and started cleaning his face up. "Let me see if you need stitches." You pulled back and smiled. "No, nothing too bad. You're lucky. You must have thick bones."
"Tch, thick head."
You laughed. "I'm sure he's a smart kid."
Levi blushed. "Don't encourage him."
You smiled softly and bandaged Connie up. "Well, he's very brave."
Connie grinned. "I'm brave!"
Levi watched Connie run off. "Thank you."
You smiled at him. "My pleasure. You are a good father figure, it's rare to find that."
He felt nervous as you gazed at him. "Ah, well umm...I look after a fair few of them."
You hummed. "You must be busy them."
He saw you looked a little sad. "Oh, well, sometimes but I still have spare time."
"Great." You hummed. "So, I get off in an hour."
He blushed hard. "I'll um...maybe see you. I'm Levi."
You gave your name before waving and walking off. "See you soon."
Levi smiled a little to himself and made his way around the shops. He saw the scouts going off with a group of people camping outside of town again. He left them to it and decided to go see you. Levi would see you every single day. He would take you on all kinds of dates and have you laughing so hard.
Gentle touches became hand holding. Soft squeezes became long hugs. Longing gazes turned to loving kisses. Shy words became declarations of love. As your love grew stronger, Levi's guilt grew.
He held you with one arm as he looked out at the ocean with you. He sighed and said your name. "I have a confession to make."
You pulled back a bit and looked at your lover. "What's wrong?"
He sighed. "I am not from here. I'm from Paradis. I know you'll hate me and that's okay, but know that every moment with you has been the best of my life. I love and adore you. If I had a choice, I'd take you back to Paradis with me if you wanted, but knowing the truth that I'm one of those devils I can't imagine you'd want to."
You held Levi's hands and smiled. "I love you. I love you with everything in my heart and soul. You are no devil. You are a wonderful man who I adore and want to spend the rest of my life with. I want to go with you."
"Really?"
You nodded. "When do we leave."
He frowned. "But what about your father?"
You sighed. "My father has never liked you and he certainly won't like that you're from Paradis. I know I love you and I'm an adult. I want to go with you."
He smiled softly at you. "You mean it?"
You nodded. "Yes."
He kissed you and smiled as his worries washed away. "Let's go."
"When do we leave?"
"Tonight."
You giggled and ran with him. "Exciting!"
Levi ran with you to the waiting ship. He pulled you close and talked to you about the dreams he had for you both. He guided you around Paradis and showed you the beauty of the countryside there. He found a little home for you both and would come home every single day to see you. He found you the perfect job at the orphanage as a nurse.
You and Levi grew closer and he told you all about the history of Paradis and why they fought. You understood that there was a war for no reason. You liked the people of Paradis and you loved the island as well. You especially loved Levi who was supposed to be a devil. You liked his friends and you were happy you moved.
Levi would take you all over on your days off and on his own. He would often take you horse riding. He'd hold you as he took control of the horse. He would take you to the most beautiful places you've ever seen.
You held Levi as he led the horse to a nice little spot. He helped you off first and jumped off after. You smiled softly at him as he grabbed the bags. "What do you have planned?"
He blushed a little. "Just something nice."
"Oh yeah?"
He nodded and walked with you to a little spot by the lake and flowers. He lay a blanket down and helped you to sit down. "Yes."
You smiled and took your cup from him with tea. "Thank you."
He leaned over and kissed you. "I'm glad you came with me. I know it's been a while since we left, but I still am thankful for it every single day."
You blushed a little. "I am too. I know that without you I would be lonely over there."
He smiled softly before he started blushing again. "I umm." He put his hand in his pocket and held out a little box. "I have something to ask you."
You knew very well what he was going to ask because of the box. "Levi."
He opened it to show you a gold ring. "I love you more than anything in this world." He said your name softly. "Will you marry me?"
Your cheeks burned. "Yes."
Levi's face lit up as his hope as his dreams came true. He slipped the ring on your finger before kissing your hand. "I love you so much."
You giggled and hugged him. "I love you too."
He dragged his bag closer and opened it to show you the food he'd made. He handed you some and smiled. "To us."
You nibbled your food and hummed in delight. "To us."
He shuffled closer and kissed you. "I'm so happy. I can't wait to marry you."
You put the food to one side and wrapped your arms around Levi. You pulled him down onto you and kissed him over and over. You smiled at him and hummed. "I can feel you getting excited."
He blushed a little. "Sorry."
"I love it. You know I love it."
He gulped. "We're outside. Are you sure?"
You nodded. "Yes." You giggled. "Besides, I would rather much like to have kids."
He hummed a laugh and tapped his forehead against yours. "Me too."
You and Levi reminded each other of your love. You married fast with the friends you had left. You welcomed your first baby into the world before Eren went off to Marley again. When Levi returned to you, you conceived your second child. You didn't see Levi much during the rumbling and feared the worst, but deep down you knew he would return to you and your babies.
When the war was over, your husbands came back to you looking very tired and hurt. You showered him with all your love and gave him the best medical treatment. You thought he'd be a broken man, but he was determined and strong. Levi made it his goal to walk and run with his kids. Soon after him had a stronger spark, you welcomed more and more children until you had five sons and three daughters.
Your children grew into wonderful people, all working hard to make the world a better place. All of them had the Levi Ackerman spark in them. All of your sweet children got married and had their own precious kids making you and Levi grandparents. Levi became a silver fox of a man and won many hearts. You became a sweet energetic grandma who baked a lot.
You pulled another pie out of the oven and set it down. You looked over to the backdoor to see Levi limp inside. "Everything alright dear?"
He nodded and plopped a basket on the table. "Just getting some of our harvest in."
You smiled. "Looks perfect."
He walked over to you, his grey hair framing his face making him look stunning. He may have been a grandad, but he still looked handsome and young. He pulled you close and kissed you. "You look perfect."
"Thank you."
He looked at the table. "Oh, pie."
You moved it away from him. "I've just taken it out of the oven. Plus, it's for the kids and grandkids."
Levi gasped. "I knew there was something in the air. The Ackerman army is coming."
You laughed. "That's right."
He hummed a little and smiled. "I miss them you know? I miss the crying, the cuddles, the bedtime stories."
"Before you ask for a baby, I am too old."
He wrapped you up in his arms and started squeezing you in all the right places. "How about we practice?"
You giggled. "You know I love practising for a baby."
He nipped your shoulder. "Me too." He pulled away and looked at the front door when he heard a comotion. "They're here."
"I'm ready for my babies!"
Levi threw open the front door and grinned. "My brats!"

Day 4 | The Big Day
Masterlist
No one said having a wedding was easy
Pronouns: she/her/fem
Its a little late but hey, when in doubt, write like its still the day of
"She likes blue, she loves carnations, she only eats vanilla cake, what am I missing?", Dante shouts to himself.
"Nothing brother, calm down", Vergil says, placing a hand on Dante's shoulder.
"But I want it to be perfect", Dante groans. He runs a hand through his hair as he watches the wedding planner down below them set up the area. "Move the pot so she can see the blue ones!", Dante says to no one.
"I think you should get dressed. In no time you'll be called down there", Vergil says, moving his brother away from the window.
"Can you at least go downstairs and check on everything for me?", Dante asks.
Vergil had been dressed for awhile, trying to keep his brother from throwing himself out the window to fix every minor detail there was. He's never seen his brother so frantic over something as important as you. You were very important to both boys but nothing compared to how much Dante needed you, and keeping him quiet long enough for Vergil to have a coherent thought was just the tip of the iceberg.
Dante always stressed himself when it came to getting you anything. He didn't want to mess anything up and hoped even if he did, you'd stay. If waiting 5 years for this day was any test, Dante wanted the reward to in turn be grand.
"I'll check on things, just get dressed", Vergil says. Dante nods, trusting his brother with the rest. Vergil leaves his brother, heading down to the ceremony area. There wasn't anything to change, it was going to be a perfect reception. Vergil did turn that one vase though.
---
Once the ceremony began, Dante couldn't hold still. He wanted to see you already, kiss you already, feed you cake already. And then it happened.
Nero in lead, throwing carnation petals everywhere had you giggling the entire way down the aisle. You could hear him singing "I've got an aunt! The best aunt!", along to the tune of Here Comes The Bride. Once out of petals, Nero loops his arm with yours to present you to Dante. "I love you auntie", Nero says, placing a kiss on your cheek before standing with the groomsmen.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate what we can all say, is the best union to come from this universe", Trish says. Everyone laughs, Dante nodding his head in agreement.
"Dante and Y/N, if you will now say your vows"
"Y/N, I love you and I always will. You have been the light of my life, the reason I wake and my best friend since before I even met you. I promise to always be here for you, to always care for you, to always love you, and to always make a sundae for you on Sundays", Dante says. You smile, trying to compose yourself.
"You never fail to show me just how strong you are, emotionally, physically and mentally. You take care of me even when I get on your nerves and always end a smack with an 'I love you'." You laugh, Dante smiling down at you.
"Y/N, from the day I was born to the day we met to today to forever, I will always and forever love you more than life itself", Dante finishes. Everyone claps as you take in a deep breath and unfold your vows.
"Dante, my savior, my soldier, my love. You have been my best friend, the love of my life and my favorite headache since the day we met." You giggle as Dante rolls his eyes but smiles.
"Never has there been a day that I didn't want to be with you. Yes, even when you come home dragging in demon blood." "One time", Dante says causing you to laugh.
"I promise to care for you, to always love you, to always be here for you and to always make you homemade pizza on Mondays"
How he tricked you into making pizza for him you still dont know but you didnt mind it one bit.
"Dante, from the day I was born to the day we met to today to forever, I will always and forever love you more than life itself", you finish. Everyone claps, Nero and Nico chanting for the kiss.
"I now pronounce you as husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride", Trish says.
"Come here sweet pea", Dante says, pulling you in.
Nero and Nico cheer next to you, setting off party poppers. You pull out of the kiss, Dante picking party streamers out of your hair. You take your bouquet from Nico, you and Dante walking down the aisle.
---
The reception after was probably the best you could ask for. Vergil and the children said a few speeches, mama Eva got you a carnation seed packet and Dante fed you cake. Cake that you got to smash into his face.
Outside on the balcony, you and Dante slow danced, the sun setting behind you and the fairy lights wrapped around the balcony turning on.
"I love you so much sweet pea", Dante says.
"I love you too devil boy", you reply.
Dante attacks you in kisses, your laughter flooding the night.

part 3 to be released in the future! ( i don't wanna say "soon" bc it took me forever to publish this chapter )
mature content. 18+. minors do not interact.
as you lay in bed with captain levi, drawing hearts with your fingertip into the skin of his bare back that faces you, you wonder if time itself can truly heal your scars. the pad of your finger traces over textured skin every time you pass by a healed scratch or gash ( there's plenty on the captain's entire body ) and you see that time doesn't actually heal. it just patches things up to be acceptable, but never the same.
you love levi and he loves you, too. you no longer feel like you belong to the jealousy and greed he's harboured over the past few years; you truly belong to him as a person, not just property. will this suffice as time passes or is this feeling, too, just a temporary fix for the problems you've encountered with him in the past?
you clearly remember the day when commander erwin stomped into the girls' sleeping quarters and had to watch captain levi slowly pull out of you and shove himself back into his pants ( shamelessly, you might add ). instead of blowing up in front of the entirety of the soldiers, the two of them went upstairs to have a civil discussion instead, in which levi counted out and named the cadets that erwin has meddled with since he was put into power. there weren't many, but there was more than the one ( you ) that captain levi ended up with. with the commander's blessing ( read: tolerance ), the captain was happy to have your things moved to his room where you would be allowed to stay during your time as a cadet.
though there was bliss emanating from the both of you, an obstacle that made itself too well known not too long after was the fragility of human life. even with captain levi's presence, the number of close calls was much too high. there were bigger, more important things that captain levi had to prioritise than you when you're out in battle, but he ended up jeopardising them a few times in order to save your life.
a rather ruinous injury in the battlefield had you assigned to bedrest for a month and levi was almost foaming at the mouth as he argued with his commander for hours to retire you. calmly, commander erwin argued that if you weren't part of the survey corps, your presence would no longer be required at the headquarters, so a compromise was met: you were given the title of an honorary survey corps member and you were henceforth a glorified maid. it was clear from the start that fighting titans wasn't sustainable for you and, if anything, you're almost relieved, elated even, about your injury. the only way you'll find yourself in 3d manoeuvre gear again is if there really were no more soldiers left to fight, so death can only come if there was a titan invasion that reached all the way to the survey corps headquarters.
with your new title, it was all too easy to learn how to meet your lover's standards. you were someone who enjoyed cleaning ( the alternative was much worse ) — no groaning or dragging feet when asked to wipe down his office or any other room for that matter. not only were you willing, you were good at it, and these two features are not often found together. if he thought he loved you before...
"stop it. it.. feels weird." a groggy voice washes away the reminiscing and you can't help but smile as you lean in and press a kiss to levi's shoulder.
"why do you have such an aversion to saying it tickles?" in the past, you've tried moving your fingertips along his sides, even going so far as to test his feet, armpits, and tummy, too — but to no avail would he ever admit that he's ticklish.
"because it doesn't, brat." he turns over and, contrary to his annoyed voice, his eyes are warm, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "just because you're ticklish doesn't mean everyone is."
the rolling of your eyes is so easily suspected and he combats it by pressing his lips against yours, scooting closer so he can have your chest flush against his. ever since you've moved in, levi enforced a policy of sleeping nude for easier access each night and morning. the only time he ever thought about retracting it was when you were too comfortable in your bare state and opened the door like that for commander erwin — he left levi's room without even saying what he came to discuss and his cheeks burning bright red.
"should i also start tickling you now to see how you react, sweetheart?" his long fingers reach up to hover above your neck, but you're already cringing and wailing for him to stop. muffling a smug laugh, he replaces his fingertips with his mouth instead and leans in to grab a patch of skin with his teeth where he noticed your usual purple and pink faded to light green, suckling down on it as he trails his fingertips along your protruding clavicle, then down to your chest where he gropes at your plentiful flesh with a soft groan.
"don't you have some drills to oversee?" you mutter with no intention of actually letting him leave; you know damn well he doesn't care about having to watch a bunch of sweaty kids exercise. as if your body's been trained ( it may as well have been with how frequent your escapades with levi are ), you part your legs to wrap one around both of his and pull him closer until you can grind your leaking slit against his thigh. the warm and wet feeling forces a growl to build in his chest and he wastes no time in grabbing a handful of your ass this time, nails digging into the plush skin.
"yes, but i think the drilling you and i are thinking of are quite different," he murmurs against your damp skin. "besides, you wouldn't want me out there frustrated and still horny, do you? imagine how much more running i'll make the cadets do, just to watch—" you cut him off with a sneaky squeeze to his tip and he only laughs in response, somehow entertained by the idea of him being creepy.
"you're so mean sometimes... do you like it when i get jealous or something?" but you already know the answer. though he'd never entice those feelings from you to the same degree he did before, he likes seeing you nestle against him like your rubbing will mark him, or the way your hand squeezes tighter when you two walk by christa; not to mention how much more enthusiastic your hips are when you ask to be on top that night when these things happen.
levi only offers you a knowing grin and he pulls back so you can see it, pushing your shoulder down to keep you flat on the bed as he kisses the tip of your nose. he stares into your eyes for a moment, enjoying the proximity and tenderness of getting to be with you like this. his breath is tangible on your mouth too and you lean up to steal a kiss, earning you another wide smile before he trails kisses down the expanse of your chest, stomach, then the area just above your folds.
oh, he loves stalling and watching you become riled up underneath him. his hands grab the outside of your thighs and he scoots back so he's on his knees, but his torso is close to the bed, head resting on the inside of one of your legs. he's so close, but he's denying you any chance to actually feel him where you're starting to need it the most.
"levi," you grumble, reaching a feeble hand out to try and grab his hair, but it gets shot down in an instant. his eyes are locked on to your puffy slit and the way your nectar glistens with the help of the warm sunlight that illuminates it — the most tempting meal he's ever laid eyes on.
not a second longer is he able to resist, so he indulges himself and dips his head to lick a thick stripe from the bottom of your cheeks, all the way up to your hooded clit, making sure the very tip of his tongue lingers against the sensitive nerves. already, you're squirming and clenching your fists by your side, your lips whispering little pleas of more, more, more. though he acts as if your words and cute little antics fall on deaf ears and blind eyes, he can't hide the way his cock twitches and starts to drip onto his sheets, nor the way his nails start to dig into your skin as he laps his way down to the origin of your sweet honey. his lewd slurps are embarrassingly loud and his accompanying moans are as well, sounding more like he's stumbled upon a world renowned chef's cooking, but your noises are no longer held back and challenge his as your back arches so you lean your hips forward just a bit more to have the tip of his nose press against your throbbing clit.
a large hand hits the side of your ass before he presses down harshly on your tummy to keep you down; he's in control right now. despite not meeting his eyes, you can feel his glare and you try to look anywhere else, but he won't relent unless you give in — you know this. the lifting of his face is felt instantaneously and you panic to look at him now, and only when your eyes meet does he lower himself back down to continue licking up each drop of your slick. this time, his tongue delves inside of you and it's velvet against velvet, the vibrations of his feral moans only driving you closer and closer to ecstasy. the palm on your stomach disappears until all you feel are a few rough fingertips that trail up and down the expanse of your torso to elicit goosebumps as he devours you deeper and more sloppily. his spit is no longer controllable as it mixes with your juices and he finally brings his other hand to press a thumb against your clit, skillfully rubbing it in the circles you taught him to draw months ago.
your release comes suddenly and without warning, but your screams and his name coming off your lips at such a volume make him forgive you right away, his mouth still working on the new influx of your sweet juice until he's satisfied and you're no longer at risk of dripping onto his bed ( not that it matters when he's been ruining it himself ).
"good girl," he murmurs, pushing himself up on his knees whilst wiping his mouth with his wrist. the sun shines from behind in such a way that has him absolutely glowing, as if he's surrounded by an aura; if he asked you right now what you think god looks like, you'd answer that it must be him. isn't levi your god anyways when you worship every inch of him and blindly follow his laws without complaint?
the compliment makes your cheeks burn even deeper with scarlet and you smile down at him, elbows propped up and holding the brunt of your weight with your chest heaving up and down as you catch your breath.
levi shifts to move his back against the wall so his legs are spread out and feet are almost touching the long edge of the bed ( it's adorable that his legs aren't long enough to reach the end, but you'd never say it out loud ).
"c'mere, sweetheart," he coos for you, patting his thick and muscled thighs with his palms to show you your seat. without another thought, your achy joints move to obey so you're straddled on his lap with your arms wrapped around his neck. almost instantly, your face finds the crook of his neck and nuzzles for warmth and comfort, his musky smell almost intoxicating, even after all this time you've spent together. his cock is weeping as it slaps against your tummy and he moves his palm around it in uneven strokes, filling the room with the wet sounds of his indecent act, but it only makes you hungrier for him. you want — no, you need it.
"levi, please," you whisper. even from down here, you can feel the way his jaw tenses with his all-too-wide smile — he wants to hear more. "please fuck me... i miss you! it's been too long and i want you to make me feel full. didn't you say you wanted to fill me with your child? this time is it, i know it. god, please—"
it's only been a few hours since he was last inside of you, but the way you still crave him and are willing to let him achieve his wildest dreams with you makes you irresistible to him. the growl in his chest is riveting and your mouth parts even before he enters you, but when he does, you're in the perfect disposition to whimper out his name. time and time again, he fills you to the brim and even tries to go deeper until his tip is kissing the entrance of your cervix, his cock's crown creating a tiny, but visible bulge at the bottom of your tummy, and yet, your walls create an iron vice that tests his self-control and the pressing urge to just spill inside of you — this time is no different.
in no time at all, sweat mats his bangs to his forehead and he’s panting hard. his fingers are bruising around your hips and he loves the colour that blooms in the shape of his phalanges every so often, today most likely being one of them. each push inside of you is another sound of a wet slap that ricochets off the wooden walls, barely doing anything to cover up his animalistic grunts and your pathetic whimpers. shaking, your palms snake their way to his full cheeks and you lift them up just a bit so he takes the hint to let his eyes meet yours. once they do, you smile and lean in for a sweet kiss, letting your hips move to the rhythm of his whilst he swallows each of your lewd moans. he’s close already, but he doesn’t want to let go of you or pull away from your suffocating heat; tightening his thighs and pressing his feet into the mattress, he wraps an arm around your waist to lift you up and lay you down on the bed, all while keeping himself buried inside of you.
now that you’re beneath him, a wicked smile turns his lips crooked and he lifts each of your legs to have them bend, the backs of your thighs against his chest and your calves on his shoulders. essentially folding you as far as you can go, he begins to piston in and out of you once more, a possessive hand resting on your stomach.
“that’s right, my angel. this is the day we start to see your belly grow. what’re we gonna name the little brat?” he sounds so amused, but the way he clenches his teeth and furrows his brows are a telling sign that he’s about to finish. you only want to assist and make it all the better, to make his words come true, so you loop your arms around your thighs to spread them wider and keep them closer to you, offering every last millimetre of yourself that you can. once again, your zeal proves to him that there’s no one greater in this world deserving of him or all the potential children he's about to spill into you. one final slam of his hips against yours, his heavy balls hitting the curve of your ass as he empties them inside of you sends him falling on top of your chest, his moist forehead pressed to the bed. you can actually feel the throbbing of his tip and the pool that drowns your clenched velvet walls as he spurts every last drop he can ( it’s a miracle that he has anything left, let alone so damn much, when you consider just how often you two are intimate ), allowing you to milk him for all he’s worth.
“oh, fuck,” he mutters, the feeling of your mixed juices growing uncomfortable when he thinks he can actually notice every drop that drips down the line of your ass and onto his once pristine sheets. with a deep inhale, he ( reluctantly ) pulls out of you and you whine in response to the emptiness, but he’s quick to shush you as he quickly plugs two of his fingers inside instead, fucking his cum deeper and more thoroughly inside of you. “waste not, want not.”
you understand that his goal is to actually put a baby in you, but your insatiable core starts to heat up again with the way his fingertips must be purposely brushing against that special spot buried inside of you — a single chuckle from him is the telltale sign that you’re actually right. the devil he is, he decides to pursue one more sweet orgasm from you and continues to scissor his digits, feeling the resistance of your cavern, which boggles him; he just had you stretched to the size of his notable girth and yet, you were still so fucking tight. there's no time to waste ( he can hear the cadets asking where the captain is outside ) and he pumps in and out of you quickly, lingering his calloused fingertips against your bundle of nerves as he also works your clit with the pad of his thumb. your breath grows quicker and he relishes in the sight of your tits bouncing with each exhale as you buck your hips, desperate for release.
"that's right, sweetheart. unwind on my fingers." on command, you squeeze around him, almost unbearably so, and you hear a groan from him mix in with your loud keening. he watches with utter excitement as you spurt onto the bed and make an absolute mess for him. "that's my girl."
his beloved sheets are an absolute mess, but so is his angel, and that's all he could've asked for on a sunny sunday morning.
꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏
after a peaceful hour and some of laying on the filthy bed together, an obnoxiously loud knock at the door turns levi's serene smile into a hostile grimace and he kisses your forehead before he hops out of bed, dressing himself because he knows exactly who it is ( if it was erwin, he wouldn't mind opening the door nude with your juices still glistening on him ).
"what, shitty glasses?"
hange's face is uncharacteristically pale and she stutters, uncomfortable with whatever is she's supposed to spit out.
"is she here?" she tries to lean around to see if you're present and when she catches a glimpse of your foot or arm or whatever it is on the bed, she pulls levi out of the room by his shirt collar. "you have to come with me. now."
the captain doesn't even get to bid you a good day before the door is slammed shut, but you're smiling anyways. it wasn't unlike hange to drag whoever was closest into her dungeon to showcase the latest results of her titan experiments.
with a big stretch and clicking joints, you get up to start your day, too. the headquarters was such a big building with only one person hired to clean ( unless captain levi knew a guest was coming or in 'a mood' ), leaving you with little to no free time when the other cadets were hard at work, too. you always start with levi's office and work your way up, then back down to the shared spaces for the cadets. today, just like every other day, you're off to start the cozy routine you've created.
꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏
levi now comprehends why hange looked as if she had seen a ghost and he only mirrors the lack of blood in his features right now. he's actually seeing a ghost, listening to it speak utter nonsense with the intent to haunt him.
"don't you remember what you told me? what you promised me? our child growing up with humanity's strongest soldier as a father and a noblewoman as a mother! it's going to be the most envied child inside the walls! oh, and that property that we talked about, too? my father kicked off all the people living on it and it's been cleaned thoroughly so we can start our family there any day now, you just say the word!" she drones on in her irritatingly peppy tone about nonsense that would never come true, about a reality that levi would rather die than live in. this isn't what he wanted and he was admittedly the irresponsible one for thinking he could get away with it. "and besides, it'll be good for you and the survival of the survey corps! maybe you can be promoted to commander, too! the king said he was itching to get rid of the survey corps before my father told him about us...."
ever since he fucked the stranger on the night of the military ball, permanently on his shoulders was the heavy weight of guilt from his actions and the way he handled things. though he told her that they probably wouldn't see each other again, she didn't seem to get the hint, even with so many unopened letters that levi refused to acknowledge or reply to. every time you'd see the envelope addressed to him, you'd see the pain in his eyes as he crumpled it up and tossed it in the garbage bin and you— you. you've been as sweet as ever, comforting him and telling him that you forgive him for his unfathomable actions. you'd kiss his lips just as lovingly, suck his soul out of his cock like your life depended on it, and still hold him close as you drift to sleep. it took a bigger toll on you to worry and start an argument where there was no victor, so you learned to comfort him and watch him unwind, watch your mercy make him love you more and try harder to be deserving of your soft heart.
he doesn't want to think about how actually seeing this woman might make all of that go away — make you go away. as if her physical presence wasn't enough, the ever so visible bump where her stomach is is... upsetting. levi feels sick to his stomach and he can already see the never ending tears streaming down your cheeks when you realise that he has a baby, just not with you. his will to live just plummeted underground and he wants nothing to do with this entire situation.
"anyways," he hopes to god that at least hange was paying attention while he was contemplating how to get eaten by a titan during the next expedition, "i'll be back in a week or so with the official letter and papers for our marriage, levi. signed by the king and everything! i'll see you then and don't forget to put on your best suit because my father will be here, too." she reaches a hand out to try and hold his, but before there's any skin to skin contact, he already feels like he's been burnt, whipping his hand away from her as quickly as possible.
"don’t come back," is all he offers her and he pushes the chair he's on with an achingly loud scraping noise, turning away before she even makes a move to actually leave or come closer. he turns the knob, but sees that there was no need — the door wasn't actually closed — and he slams the wood open as far as it can go, as hard as he can. on his first step out of hange's stuffy office, he sees your face, also devoid of colour and your hands gripping a feather duster to the point of your knuckles turning white.
as if things couldn't get worse.
you don't even look at him, only a far, far object that you can't even really see, but god, anything to avoid meeting his eyes. even as he grabs your face, shakes you a little bit, and shoves his face into your vision, your eyes don't focus, as if your soul had left your body.
"hey. please talk to me." still nothing. levi doesn't care that the foul woman only a few feet away can see as he tries to kiss you, like you're some cursed princess and he's the only way to turn you back into a human. "sweetheart," he whispers, the desperation oozing from his voice so tangible.
is this it? does he lose you forever?
"baby, look at me." his voice cracks and you've never heard him so heartbroken before, it brings your body to wrap around him out of instinct more than anything, gaze finally finding his. "how much of that did you get?"
still too stunned to actually speak or fully comprehend what's going on, you shrug your shoulders because you truly, really don't know. moisture gathers in your eyes without you even noticing and only when levi's rough thumbs wipe them away do you realise that you've been crying.
"it's nothing — she's nothing. you're the only one that matters to me." his small frame starts trembling and the hold his hands have on you is becoming to grow painful. "if i can't have a future with you, all my work so far has been for nothing. it has to be you for me, no one else." he's pouring out his heart and reaffirming the idea that the only future he sees is with you; these are words he's sleepily murmured to you as you drift to sleep, especially on days when you'd feel inadequate, but they don't comfort you as they once did. how could they when you see the end of all things good for you and the captain in that room? the protective hands on her stomach and sick, twisted smile that's pointed directly at you. levi might've used her to forget you, but she came back to ensure that you're the one forgotten.
"i... have to go," your voice sounds foreign to you and when you pull away from him, it’s as if you can still feel his presence on your cheeks and, oh, how you dearly wish it was still there. you’re not even sure where to go or where you can go without him breaking the door in to hold you, but you try anyways. the fear of footsteps being right behind you disappears as you run down the stairs and when you realise that no one’s chasing after you, you’re not sure if you’re glad that levi’s giving you space or if you’re upset that he isn’t fighting enough by letting you roam free. the dissonance doesn’t last very long with the image of the woman’s stomach holding her child — levi’s child — becomes the only thing you can think of as you quietly sob to yourself in the corner of the empty dining hall, broken down and holding your knees to your chest.
the pain of your heart clenching is almost unbearable and you think to how levi promised you similar things with you, too: getting married ( he talked about it being just a piece of paper, since he already knew he was bonded to you for life ), having children, and hopefully having enough stability in the future to retire and live on a quiet piece of farmland. your palms fall to your stomach and your lower lip trembles as your blurry vision sees the expanse of your body that levi claimed and sowed, but wasn’t able to reap. your head leans against the wall and you stare at the lines of tables beside you, blinking and breathing growing slower as you berate yourself with thoughts of not being good enough to have levi’s child and not loving him enough, allowing the woman to think that she had any authority to waltz in here, demanding levi’s hand in marriage. the last thing you ask yourself before you drift off is if the bliss you’ve felt in the past few months was worth the agonising pain you’re feeling now... and you aren’t sure what your answer is.
꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏
it isn’t clear how long you’ve been asleep, but your ass is sore and your joints ache as your limbs spread out on top of the arms that carry you so easily. slowly, your lids flutter open and you see a mess of blond hair, along with the sharp features of the commander as he climbs up the stairs with you in his hold as if you were nothing more than a sack of flour.
“s-sir?”
“i couldn’t leave you on the floor like that. what would levi say if he found you instead of me?” his voice is gruff as he shoves the door of his room open and sets you down on his bed. rather than pacing like he wants to, he crosses his arms over his broad chest as he takes a seat on the chair for his desk adjacent to his bed, his posture immaculate. “he’s gotten himself into quite the predicament, i heard.”
you want to tell him that he’s right and that it’s such a shitty situation that levi himself created, and to tell him the jumbled mess of thoughts that bounce around in your head, but you can’t. you’re still frozen in place, only having moved to rest your back against the wall to sit up and face him.
“what do you want him to do?” erwin knows that silence might be the only thing to come from you for a while, so he gets comfortable, folding one leg over the other as he leans back and relaxes just a bit. “if he goes with his heart, it’ll be the end of the survey corps and we’ll be left to join the military police, achieving nothing until we’re all eaten by titans... but if he does the logical thing, he’ll save us all, but live an unhappy life.” he muses to himself, expression growing amused.
even after hearing what hange had to say, he never had time to dissect the issue out loud — how could he when levi started breaking anything and everything fragile within his reach? for now, the small man was sedated with a small dose of tranquiliser for the horses, his brows furrowed, even in a forced state of unconsciousness; an extreme that hange never thought she'd have to execute on levi of all people.
you break your silence with a faint whisper that erwin struggles to hear.
“i know what he has to do... but i don’t want to live without him, sir.” slowly, as if your limbs were frozen and you’re slowly able to break the ice that kept you from moving, you hug your knees to your chest again, resting your chin on top of your folded legs. “am i being selfish?” the answer is obvious, but perhaps you just need someone who personifies the voice of reason to tell you it.
“by definition, yes; you’re being quite selfish. isn’t it levi’s and your feelings versus the fate of humanity sitting in your palm? two versus many thousands.” the commander switches his legs and raises a hand to stroke his chin in between his fingers. “though, i will admit that levi’s work ethic might plummet and there’s a very big possibility that he’ll charge straight into a hoard of titans just to avoid returning home. that wouldn’t be very good, either.”
you nod in agreement to every word he uttered because he’s right. when is the commander ever wrong?
“go talk to him.” erwin stands now and pushes the chair back into its original place, stalking towards you and helping you off his bed with a gentle hand. “make sure you and levi have a final answer, and if things don’t turn out the way you want them to, you can come to me. this is the one room levi wouldn’t dare try to break into.”
“thank you, sir,” you mutter, offering a faint smile as you leave the cosy confines of the commander’s room and to the icy, dark one at the end of the corridor. you predict that you’ll be knocking on erwin’s door again soon enough.

the first thing you notice when you open the door is the amount of porcelain and books that litter the wooden floor. none of the items seem to be your things though, so you’re hoping that all this anger he was letting out isn’t pointed at you. the next thing you see is levi’s body laid out on the bed, fully clothed — very unlike him.
with careful footing, you make your way over to the bed and climb in beside him. as much as your chest seems to be in an indefinite state of pain and that this will only prolong it, you want to indulge, even just for one more moment. your arms snake around his thin waist and you rest your head on his shoulder as your eyes begin to weep without any command.
the feeling of your trembling body is enough to have him snap out of his nightmare and he looks down at you with the slightest bit of confusion.
“sweetheart,” he breathes, wrapping you up in his arms immediately. “i had the worst dream ever...” when you meet his eyes, he sees the red rimming yours and his brows furrow immediately. who made you cry? and slowly, the memories of smashing everything of his in sight comes back, the meeting with hange and erwin, with hange and that disgusting whore. he grows dizzy instantly, but his hold on you never falters. "sweetheart," he whispers again.
begrudgingly, you pull away and sit up with your legs crossed underneath you, fingers linked together and thumbs twiddling.
"levi... you know what you have to do," you mumble, but you don't agree with your own words. you're putting on a brave face for him because he needs it; he's weak. "it doesn't make sense to let everyone eventually die because of what you want."
what he wants, not what 'we' want.
"everyone is going to die eventually. what does it matter if it's sooner than later? what quality of life do humans even have like this? scared to go outside, starving on the streets? if i meet my end without you, i might as well have not lived at all." the anger from earlier prickles up his spine and he sits up with you now. "i need you and i don't care who i have to resist or kill to have you."
he'll fight for you. he'll kill for you. had this been any other turn of events, you would've thought it to be romantic and taken his hand in marriage right then and there.
"what if it's me that doesn't want that ending, though? what if i'm the one that's sending you to be with her because i want to?" oh, but it's so easy to see through your façade when you're sobbing and shaking like you are now. you're lying and it's so fucking obvious.
levi doesn't even acknowledge what you said — it's implausible and not worth expanding upon.
"we'll run away. i'll plan things with erwin so we'll always have gear and a place to stay... he'll help so no one can find us." he hasn't asked this of the commander yet, but the chances of him declining are so slim. "please, i can't live without you... i don't want to raise a child that isn't ours."
"so you'd be okay with letting that baby grow up without a loving father...? how did that work out for you?" the latter inquiry holds a lot more venom than you want it to and you want to indulge him — indulge yourself — by agreeing to the picture he's painting for you, but the intrusive thought of how he just parroted the same promises to some rich woman months ago, then to you, is something you can't ignore. "you... you cheated on me."
the pain that flashes in his eyes is unmistakable. for months, you've refused to talk about it and were adamant on forgiveness, nothing else, but today is the day you finally let him feel the gravity of his sins.
"you hated when i was just dancing with reiner, a friend, but you get to fuck a stranger and expect me to do nothing about it. if reiner was still around," you heard about reiner and his traitorous deeds and the truth about what he is, but you still mourned the loss of a good friend a while back, "would i get to fuck him, too? so we're even? i get to carry his child and marry him?"
you expect anger and even a slap to the face, but you only see the broken eyes of a man who has crumbled.
"i'd kill him. and i will once we catch up to him." his venomous words hold no poison, only defeat.
"then what about commander erwin?" your jaw flexes with tension. "at least we can trust him to take good care of me." it's your voice that's sharp and filled with irritation. "if i get to do the same with commander erwin and you still want me in the end, then i'll leave everything behind to be with you. i won't feel guilty about the child you're abandoning for your own selfish pleasure."
"okay." your eyes widen and you snap your head to the side to look at him, to look for any trace of a joking smile or just anything to see if he's just playing with you. but you're only met with saddened eyes and defeated, slumped shoulders. "i love you. i love you so much, i want to die. but you're right — i got myself into this mess and if those are your conditions, i'll wait. a year, five years, a decade. however long it takes. i'll wait for you, no matter what happens."
to say you're taken aback would be the understatement of the century.... but you're still trembling with unhappiness and you let your heart win over your head as you nod and get off the bed, fully intent on delivering on your promise to 'even things out.' when you've had time to calm down and think about what it is you're doing exactly ( maybe soon when commander erwin laughs at your silly proposal ), you'll find regret in your heart for what you've done. for now, you think yourself as level-headed and you leave the same way you came in, leaving the door to his messy room wide open.
꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏ ꘏
"commander," you shout for him and knock your aching knuckles against his door impatiently. captain levi is only a few doors down and you know that he can hear what's transpiring.
"back so soon?" comes his deep voice with a rumbling laugh.
the regret you had saved up for later all comes rushing to you now as you twiddle your thumbs and try to think of a way to express whatever deal you made with levi that won't have the commander pushing you back towards the captain's room, demanding that you two just make up like two bickering kids.
"a-actually... there's something i need to talk to you about, sir... about levi and i— we came to a... a compromise." a thick eyebrow raises with curiosity and he ushers you back inside, shutting the door behind you. unknowing if your legs would be able keep from giving out underneath you, you sit on the bed as you did before, legs crossed under you and one hand on each of your knees. "if you could keep your questions until i'm done, sir... i think i'll lose my train of thought rather easily."
erwin nods and stays standing where he is beside the bed, arms crossed over his broad chest as he furrows his brows with concern.
"so... levi said," you're throwing him under the bus when it was your outrageous suggestion, "if i pursue the life he has with the noblewoman with you, and if i still want him after that, we can get back together. i-i'm not sure how far that means," but you can compromise with yourself, can't you? "as in if we have to get married or anything, and if you already have a wife or lover, i'm so sorry for even bringing this up, sir! i didn't— levi didn't really think it through..."
he looks as if he's digesting every word and turning them into sentences in his mind one by one, slowly understanding what levi ( you ) proposed.
"i'm surprised levi didn't mention that he knows i don't have a lover." dread starts to creep up your spine; maybe you should've left the commander out of this. of course he has a lot on his plate already, what good would the addition of more burdens do? "but i will admit, it's not because i'm celibate or abstaining. i've lost any cadet i've had a connection with in battle, so i gave up."
his arms uncross and he starts to kneel on the bed, hands reaching to rest on the mattress at either side of your hips, lips parted in a wide grin. he's close, too close for comfort.
"but i must also tell you that i've wanted a taste ever since levi started telling me about you. he'd tell me how sweet you are on his tongue during meetings about battle. in court, he whispered about how tight you squeeze his cock, even when you aren't cumming." his breath grows ragged and so does yours in response. "when we met with the head of the military police, he sent me a note with all the names you like to be called while being fucked and where to push and pull to have you moan like a bitch in heat."
your lids flutter and all you can smell is him, so manly and intoxicating. you've never thought of commander erwin as more than an authority figure, it's almost dizzying how quickly you're able to adopt him as a physical partner. he's the exact opposite of levi, your first and only: where levi is small, erwin is big, where levi is big, erwin's even bigger. the dark hair in your dreams is now replaced with shining gold and you fall victim to the seducing words of your commander.
"and now, he's conceding? after all that teasing, he's letting his sweet bunny run head first into the lion's den?" erwin lifts himself up to undo his belt, the sound of just the buckle making your thighs clench together. "he must really love you, and now it's my turn to experience why."
his mouth is on yours in an instant and you melt underneath him, wrapping your arms around his neck as he undresses himself until you decide that it's taking too long. clumsy, small fingers undo each knob from its clasp on his shirt, and it takes much longer than if he were to do it alone; his pants and underwear are already messily strewn on the floor ( another difference from levi — the smaller would fold it all neatly ) and he's waiting for you to finish with an amused, patient smile. only when you finish does he grab your wrists to settle them on your lap so he can shrug his shirt off himself, revealing broad shoulders and a torso filled with scars similar to levi's.
commander erwin is absolutely breathtaking in his naked glory, each of his flexing muscles bulging and just begging for you to worship them with your mouth.
"god," you whisper mindlessly. he's mesmerising without having to do anything.
the corners of his lips twitch with the urge to spread wider; it's been a while since he's had an intimate moment or heard himself being revered the way he likes. the sudden confession he made of wanting a taste of you was entirely true. it was difficult to watch you walk in the hallways without purposely inhaling deeper to take in your scent, to keep himself from asking levi if you tasted just as heavenly today when he'd come into a meeting with your nectar still staining his chin, both of your faces bright red.
erwin is a wise man; he won't take this moment for granted when levi could burst in at any moment to take you away.
"now let's see if the little one was exaggerating or not," his voice is playful, as is the gleam in his eyes, when he leans in to press his lips to yours. instantly, your lids flutter and you wrap your dainty arms around his neck to pull him closer, mouth parting to let him in, to let him wash away any trace of levi you'd had lingering on you. each flick of his tongue has you moaning underneath him and he picks you up so easily, resting your back on the bed so he's hovering over you, almost swallowing you up. the heat that pools in your stomach, in between your legs, is undeniable.
where levi's taste was sweet, the commander is heartier, as if levi was a freshly baked cake and erwin was a home-cooked meal fit for soldiers. levi would send you into a state of intoxicated dizziness, but erwin sends adrenaline rushing through your veins instead.
"sir," you breathe out in between loud, wet kisses, his large hands unclasping your buttons with much more fervour and accuracy than you did his. "a-are you sure?" but the question is more directed at yourself than him, and any resistance you've held on to slips away with your shirt and flimsy bra, to the floor with his discarded clothing as well.
"i think we're past formalities if we're soon to be wed, aren't we, darling? daddy doesn't mind." the single word has your head spinning and he takes this chance to slip off your pants and underwear off the long expanse of your legs, tossing them carelessly over his shoulder.
"daddy," your voice is a whisper and you throw the word out to give it a taste, see how it moulds on your tongue. it doesn't feel right at first, but when you see the beaming grin on erwin's face, you tell yourself that it's perfect. "daddy, i really... really want to feel you."
erwin knows that preparation is necessary, especially when dealing with someone of his girth and size, but your quiet begging, the title, the irresistible sight of you on his messy bedsheets... all the feedback he's gathered through a slew of previous partners gets thrown out the window as he lets lust overtake him. if anything, he'll have to blame levi for speaking of you in such a lewd manner so openly, making erwin's curiosity crash through the roof.
he only nods in response, a hand grabbing at the base of his length so he can give it a couple of steady strokes until he's ready to press against your dripping slit. as much as he knows that he has to prep you, make sure you're ready to take him, the temptation of your ring of muscle squeezing around his tip has his mask of self control faltering and he pushes into you crassly, the hand wrapped around his base steadying itself on your hip for balance.
the guttural moan that slips from his mouth makes your eyes fly up to meet his eyes that've rolled into the back of his head. with your small hands, you grab on to his biceps and dig your nails into his skin, lower lip caught in between your teeth as you hold back grunts of slight pain; he's big and you're sure that no amount of prior foreplay could've prepared you enough to take him without the burning sensation that paints you from the inside out right now.
"just like heaven," erwin murmurs to himself. he sits inside of you, tip already kissing your cervix, and once his shoulders are no longer tense, he returns his gaze to you and cups your cheek with a large, calloused hand. "you alright, darling?"
you nod just once, despite the tears that've yet to dry at your waterline.
"levi wasn't exaggerating in the least, sweetheart," he mumbles again, the mention of the onyx-haired man just a few doors away making your heart twinge with guilt — you've ruined yourself; you're not just his anymore....but it's what he deserves, right? critical thinking is an inaccessible skill at the moment and the pang of apologetic feelings flutter away when the commander — your commander — starts to move his hips, pumping in and out of you at his own brutal pace.
the sound of the headboard rocking against the wall is thunderous, as opposed to the creaks you're used to, and so are erwin's moans of your name over and over.
crystal blue eyes bore into yours, rendering you helpless as your limbs melt into jelly ( maybe the feeling of him pressing urgently into that spongy bundle of nerves inside of you have to do with it, too ). his stare is so intense and you feel as if you've never been so bare before, giving the entirety of your self to your commander, and he takes everything you have to offer.
his pearly whites grind together with sweat beading and dripping down his temple as he finds purchase on both your hips with both of his bruising hands.
"i'm gonna fill you up, doll," he grits out and his hips piston against yours, sending your back arching and vision fuzzy with the merciless pounding against the most sensitive corner of your clenched walls.
"d-daddy— oh, god," is all you can get out, nails digging into his arms once more as you feel yourself tighten around him, and with one last thrust inside of you, you can feel him spill inside just as you reach completion and become undone, like a ribbon on a present. toes clenched and back arched, sweat creating a slick dew on your entire body — erwin swears he's never seen a sight so perfect and wills himself to commit what lies underneath him to memory.
"fucking beautiful," he whispers, chest heaving with deep breaths. slowly, he slips out of you, not without a groan, and you feel the loss instantly, clamping your legs together with embarrassment.
the bed thumps and bounces beside you as the commander lays beside you on his side, a serene smile you've never seen before graced on his lips.
"so, did i convince you to take levi up on that offer?" weren't you the one that came here to persuade him?
your eyes fight the cloud of drowsiness that, as per usual, takes over you post-orgasm, blinking slowly, but hard to keep yourself awake as much as you can.
"yes, sir," you mumble sleepily, back to the honourifics once again. the sound of commander erwin's rumbling laugh is the last thing you hear as you descend into a heavy sleep, the faint image of levi's broken expression painting the back of your eyelids before everything fades to black.

Green Thumb
Part 3
Request: Yes or No
~
You watched with slightly furrowed brows as Nick Fury walked into the kitchen, glancing at Lila when she pulled another crayon out of the box. You smiled softly at her butterfly drawing.
"That's great, Lila." You told her gently, earning a proud smile from the younger girl. She finished drawing, standing up and walking over to Natasha to show her. You picked up the crayons laying on the ground, sliding them back in the box. You looked over at Clint and his family as Fury talked about Ultron, a small sigh escaping you. You weren't expecting this to be so complicated. Then again, it was the Avengers. Everything was complicated with them.
"I contacted our friends at the Nexus about that." You blinked, zoning back in. Steve looked at Fury with a small frown.
"Nexus?"
"Every bit of data flows through there. It's located in Oslo." Bruce explained, pushing up his glasses with his index finger. Clint gently picked up a dart, inspecting it.
"So, what'd they say?" He asked, watching Tony collect the darts from the board. You looked at Lila when she sat beside you on the couch, pointing to her hair before facing away from you. You shifted towards her, beginning to gently braid her hair.
"He's fixated on the missiles but the codes are constantly being changed." Fury told them as he made himself a snack. Trying to stop a murderous robot with daddy issues from ending the world definitely hadn't been on your bucket list but then again, joining a family hadn't been on it either.
"By whom?" Tony asked, a dart flying by his face and hitting bullseye. You almost chuckled at the cheeky grin on Clint's face.
"We got an ally?"
"Ultrons got an enemy. That's not the same thing." Fury corrected Natasha, eating a small slice of cheese. You finished braiding Lila's hair, glancing at Laura.
"His mission.. Is mass destruction. Everything here will be laid in a grave." Fury looked between the Avengers. You frowned, making eye contact with Clint. His biggest fear was losing his family. The last thing you wanted was losing the Bartons.
"So, stand. Outwit the platinum bastard."
"Steve doesn't like that kind of talk." Natasha said softly, gaze locking onto the soldier. Steve's brows raised, an exasperated breath leaving him.
"You know what, Romanoff.." He trailed off as Natasha shot him a playful smile. Laura took a seat behind you, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder.
"You can stay here. You don't have to go with them to stop this.. Robot." Laura said quietly, giving your shoulder a squeeze. You ran your fingers over Lila's braid, shaking your head.
"It's fine, I promise. I'll make sure to come back in one piece." You assured her with a small smile.
"Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho?" You looked forward at the mention of the scientists' name. You remembered her curiosity at your bracelets. A frown stretched across your face. She shouldn't have been left alone, especially when she had been there when Ultron first attacked.
"We need to get going." Steve called, glancing back at you. Everyone went off to change into their hero outfits.
"Hey, (Y/N), I got something for you." Clint said, motioning for you to follow him. You stood up, walking towards him and entering the room. Clint gave you a small grin, showing you the outfit. It was similar to his but with long sleeves. You smiled, running your fingers over it.
"I wouldn't want you getting shot so it's bulletproof and works in all types of weather. From now on, you are an Avenger."
"But.. I haven't finished-"
"You know what you need to work on and you'll continue to train." Clint smiled proudly, placing a hand on your shoulder. "I've always believed in you."
"Thank you.." You whispered. Clint nodded, leaving the room so you could change. It was comfortable and flexible so you'd be able to move without difficulty. You felt a rush of excitement shoot through you. You were officially an Avenger. Well, in Clint's eyes anyway. You'd have to check in with Tony and Steve to confirm it. You stepped out of the room, hearing Laura coo. She looked you over, smiling.
"Oh, if you were in high school, this is probably how it'd feel like during prom night." She breathed out, giggling softly.
"Now, you two better return in one piece, alright?" Laura shot you and Clint a look. You gave her a nod.
"Yes, ma'am." Clint responded, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Laura gave you both a tight, lingering hug before releasing you with watery eyes.
"We'll be back before you know it." Clint assured her, getting an unconvinced nod in return. You exited the house, heading towards the aircraft.
"Liking the new look, (L/N)." Natasha said, smiling widely as she walked beside you. You chuckled, glancing down at the outfit. You entered the aircraft, taking a seat.
"We'll drop Tony off in Oslo while we check on Dr. Cho. Stay alert and stay ready." Steve said, looking you over briefly. A small smile appeared on his face before he looked towards the front. Tony was dropped off at Nexus, the others heading off to Japan. You hoped you'd be able to stay longer than a few minutes next time. Norway seemed like a nice place to relax at. Steve was dropped off by the building while you remained with Natasha and Clint in the aircraft. You could hear everything Steve said and heard through the earpiece. You frowned upon hearing Dr. Cho's breathy voice.
"He's uploading himself into the body."
"Where?"
"The real power... Is inside the cradle. The gem.. It's power is uncontainable. You can just blow it up. You have to get the cradle to Stark."
"First I've got to find it. You guys copy that?" Steve asked. You stood beside Clint, looking over the busy city below. So many people unaware of the thing threatening them.
"We did."
"We've got a private jet taking off across town." Natasha said. "No manifest. That could be him." Your gaze darted from cars to people, anything moving that could be suspicious.
"There's a truck from the lab." Clint called. "Right above you, Cap. On the loop on the bridge."
"It's them." You swallowed, gripping the seat. You watched as Steve jumped onto the roof of the truck, reaching the back and being blown to the side. Clint drove through the city, catching the citizen's attention.
"Think you could help from up here?" Clint asked, glancing at you.
"I've never done this while moving." You reminded him, raising your hand. Cities provided little nature, apart from fake plants and small spots to make it pretty. You noticed some trees but they were by the sidewalk and the road. Clint lowered himself closer to the ground so Natasha could drop down on a motorcycle. Clint helped direct Natasha to the truck. You winced when Steve was thrown back onto a car, the cars beginning to topple over and crash.
"Who's gonna pay for their injuries?" You asked softly.
"Stark will handle anything their insurance doesn't cover." Clint replied, moving in front of the truck and shooting at Ultron. It had no impact on him, simply annoying him further. Three robots left the back of the truck, flying up. You felt your fingers tingle, raising your hand and causing a branch from a nearby tree to shoot out and go through the head of one if the robots, effectively stopping it.
"Take a seat and buckle in." Clint called. You quickly sat down, not in the mood to be thrown around the craft. You buckled in, sighing softly as your stomach did twists. You'd prefer land over air any time but it felt safer to be with Clint. You shut your eyes as the aircraft spun, probably shaking off the robots. Clint successfully got the robots off him so he turned, heading back towards the city.
"You okay?" Clint glanced back at you with a frown. You nodded, not trusting yourself not to vomit. Clint chuckled softly.
"You'll get used to it." Clint looked forward. You unbuckled your seat, getting up and walking back towards Clint. You rubbed your aching head, brows furrowing.
"Is that-"
"A flying truck? Yeah. Not the craziest thing you'll see."
"I can control plants, Clint. I'd say that's pretty tame." A laugh left Clint as he followed the truck.
"Got a clear shot. Want me to take it?"
"Negative, I'm still in the truck." Natasha replied. Clint blinked.
"The hell you doing in there?" He asked, following the truck from a safe distance.
"Just get ready to receive the package." Natasha told him. Clint turned the aircraft around, opening the back. You turned your head, noticing Natasha cutting the straps that kept the cradle in place and pushing it forward. She exited the truck as it exploded, the cradle getting inside but she was dragged out.
"Nat!"
"I can't see her and it's to high up for me to do anything." You said, looking at through the windows. Steve ordered Clint to go back to the tower but Clint would never leave his best friend behind.
"Clint, it's Nat. She'll be fine. If anything, she'll be the one rescuing us when we find her." You told him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Clint swallowed, hesitating before following orders.
"She'll be okay." You assured softly. You looked back at the cradle, cautiously approaching it.
"Don't touch it-"
"Too late." You mumbled, fingers running over it. Your brows furrowed, looking over the body inside. It didn't look human. Not even close to one.
"What the hell is this?" You frowned, gaze drifting to the crystal. The one Dr. Cho said was uncontainable.
"I always thought I was magic." You said, looking up at Clint with a small smile. You hoped you could ease his mind or get him to become less anxious. You sighed, looking back down at the body before continuing.
"But then I found out I was everything but that."
