L M A O having worked with a number of german lawyers, i know for a fact that qualifying to practice law in germany is a process that takes roughly 7 years at least and two separate rounds of state exams, no shortcuts.

#ace attorney #you're telling me mr. glam rockstar started studying law at the tender age of 10?#i don't mcfuckin think so #anyway works out to roughly the same time as jurisdictions where law can only be studied at graduate level #although my understanding is also that german lawyers are more likely to pursue LLMs and such after their basic qualifications #(or between them?#i feel like there were a number of interns who had passed the first state exam #and were now doing an LLM before heading into the intern stage and second state exam #or had completed an LLM and were now doing the intern stage or something along those lines #point is: i was getting the sense that although roughly 7 years is the minimum amount of time within which it is possible to qualify #many of the ambitious folks who want to work at major firms or abroad and such will take longer)
