hi! i havent been playing the sims for a while but ill try to answer! tbh i kind of just happen across things, im personally not that good at searching for cc lol. tumblr blogs with styles like miwkstowp and gigglecoffin are my faves and insps, and other cc creators i like are ones like saruin, atomiclight, nsves, theres others but idr rn lol. i do actually have a sideblog where i have reblogged a bunch of cc posts if youre interested! @snorvalp666findz

one of my main places to find cc is honestly dollhouse mafia, its such a great resource, if you dont know its a telegram group for pirating paywalled content but its also just a great place to find new creators in general imo! they also share content from chinese creators like dogangje which is awesome bc i love their stuff but i dont think i can learn to work sglynp myself :')

I think that we as a community should start repelling those people for real. We already know all they do is following trends, ignoring the rest of us, cc tracking, doxing etc. So why do we keep endorsing that shit? Why do we keep paying for it? If they're out there making that amount of money by SELLING cc, it's because there's someone to buy it. I know there are simmers that are out of the community. Mostly kids and teens who have no idea there is an entire community about it. Let the people who don't know about their evildoings raise them, why do we know and still pay for it? PSMBD is out there, dollhouse mafia, kemono party, ts4 rebels, etc etc. They will always have the stuff. And if they don't, is it really worth it? To give money to the kind of person who throws tantrums at a comment section and calls you a freeloader because you want one thing for free? I don't think it is, darling.

about downloading mods

mods (not cc) get updated often, especially after game updates. if you're looking for a mod please check the creator's socials first to see when was the last update. after that, check this date on simfileshare:

if the mod was last updated before this, then the mod is up to date. if it was updated after that, then shoot me an ask reminding me to update it!!

beware of hidden curseforge links

some creators have been hiding curseforge downloads in their patreon posts. if you're getting something from patreon it should be a direct download in patreon itself, you can find the files at the bottom of each post with the file's name, like this:

if a creator is not doing this but instead having a "download" link that quickly opens a new tab and closes immediately, this is most likely to be a curseforge redirect. to avoid this, you can right click the download link and click "copy link". then paste this somewhere, if you see either "curseforge" or "forgecdn", this means it is redirecting you to curseforge without any warning. you can let me know if you find something like this so i can reupload this content to sfs.
