there are some radtrad religious ppl online who are like "uggghhhh women should be ✨more feminine✨ and acknowledge that being called to motherhood and to stay in the home with the children is a higher calling. women who are so career-focused are just not listening to their vocation". like yeah i get that housewives feel beleaguered in the face of our current society/economy and i have nothing against women in the home
but like shut UP like my sister in Christ that has been my ENTIRE dream since i've been very little. HOWEVER. not all of us were graced with our perfect Spouse the moment we turned 18 or whatever. like i didn't ASK to be dating shitbags for the past literal decade+ and missing out on getting married early. i didn't ASK to be a business bitch.
i just did this because it is better than chewing cotton candy dreams of a man appearing out of the fucking blue to provide a cushy lifestyle for me, and me just polishing off my social graces like some lady going to a finishing school. ribbons in my hair and veiling so demurely at mass like a good little girl.
like i wasn't given the same gift as the rest of some of y'all and you know what? so happy for you. ha ha. glad for you happy for you. but like i have been independent and essentially provided for myself since i was 16. i wasn't sitting on my ass waiting for God's plan to just show up at my doorstep.
even now that i'm in a steady relationship it's not like things are suddenly Perfect and i can go back to making sourdough barefoot in the kitchen bedecked in ruffles. economy sucks babe it's all i've got to say. times are hard and it's for richer or for poorer. sometimes both sets of hands have to work. that's just how it is.
would all these people rather that i just sat around hoping for prince charming and meanwhile did nothing to provide for myself?
i'm soooo tireeeeddddd

Back in the olden days, if you used the "keep reading" function on a Tumblr-dot-com post, it would
not get very many notes.
At all.
I am not sure exactly why.
I think people hated pressing an extra thing.
But maybe it was also a psychological phenomenon where, given the choice, they were unwilling to trust me with their time.
But if I sucked them in with a good story or a compelling image, they would get serious FOMO.
Tumblr media
When I created a super high effort post-of-length I would get comments like, "This was way too long but before I realized it I was reading the last sentence."
That was a really good feeling.
I used to do tests to figure out the best posting strategies and I think I figured out you'd lose about 90% of your notes if you did a "keep reading" post.
So that notion was ingrained in my brain again and again from when I was very note-obsessed and I have since avoided the "keep reading" option almost like a conditioned response.
Just seeing that squiggly line appear still induces a Pavlovian fear.
Tumblr media
But that was probably a decade ago and I did a new experiment. My story about replacing my mailbox did reasonably well with a strategically clickbaity "keep reading."
This was a promising result due to the fact that some people like to send me hate for writing a lengthy post.
I recently got a death threat for writing too much, which was a fun reminder of my M&M days (I melted men's rights activists' brains with a poorly worded analogy and they launched a years long harassment campaign).
It seems in present-era-Tumblr-dot-com many more people prefer pressing an extra thing rather than scrolling a bunch on their smartphone. The collective behavior has changed. And maybe I don't need to use tricks and running gags in order to get folks to "keep reading".
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I started writing that ring light post a few months ago so I wasn't able to include that in the experiment. But I am going to try using the keep reading function in the future and as long as the average number of folks that usually read my longer posts continue to read my posts, that will be the standard approach.
I also tag these posts with "long post" so you can flag that if you wish.
While I am no longer in the audience-building phase of my Tumblr career, these essays and stories and educational posts take a considerable amount of time and effort to create, so I do want to make sure everyone who wants to read them is able to. But posts without hearts and reblogs can quickly die a gruesome algorithmic death. Even my most ardent followers would tell me things were not showing up on their dash. (I think replies help mitigate that, so if you like a long post, you can help with engagement.)
The collective noun is a "business" of ferrets.
Do you want to see a business of ferrets ready to do some business?
Tumblr media
I love writing and it is a huge catharsis for me. And I love sharing any knowledge I feel like I have the earned expertise to speak on with authority (technology, photography, light, fun ferret facts, etc). I wish I had the energy to be a photography teacher, but long posts on Tumblr are probably the best I can do for now.
I know my posts are super long, but I try to make them as fun and informationally dense as I possibly can. I don't like wasting people's time if I can avoid it. Though maybe I should trust my follower's attention span a bit more. I have this fear that if I am not constantly entertaining, people will click away or unfollow.
I think a good business for a business of ferrets would be selling pool noodles that look like ferrets.
Tumblr media
So as long as I get roughly the same amount of notes I will do the keep reading. And then maybe people can lay off on the mean comments and occasional requests to end my own life because I bloviated about soft light.
100% true ferret fact..
If you ask a ferret what their business is, they will crawl on your shoulder and whisper in your ear...

About the Blog
Tumblr media
Commissions: [OPEN]
Hey there! ✨
You can call me Syder (pronounced like “cider”). This is my art blog where I post my art for quite literally anything - OCs, fanart, doodles, etc. It may seem centered around certain fandoms if I’m into that at the moment, but really it’s just a miscellaneous art blog.
My main blog is over at @part-sadist, so if you see a follow or interaction from that account, that’s me. I can’t follow via this side blog and unfortunately tumblr doesn’t seem to allow me to swap this one to my main 💦
I am an adult, and while this blog is not 18+, I may sometimes talk about or draw content with more mature themes. Please do not follow if that bothers you. If you need to block or unfollow me, please feel free to do so, I will never take it personally.
Other stuff
Pronouns: both she/her and they/them are fine
EN/中文/日本語 OK
Asks are welcome! Mentions are okay, but please only send DMs for business inquiries (i.e. commissions) unless we're mutuals
DO NOT repost my art or use it for AI learning
Current main fandom is Twisted Wonderland, but a few other things I like include: FFXIV, Splatoon, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, Ace Attorney, otome games, Vocaloid, etc.
Please also note that this blog is not spoiler-free ⚠ I do tag spoilers but sometimes I may forget to, so proceed with caution!
Tags guide, masterlists, & FAQ under the cut!

FAQ
Do you take commissions?
Commissions are currently OPEN, please see this post for more information!
Can you draw [insert idea/prompt here]?
I do take suggestions, but please understand that I can’t guarantee that I’ll get to it.
Can I draw your OC?
Alone or with canon characters (if they’re part of pre-existing media), yes. If it’s with your own OC or a character I don’t know, please ask me first.
Can you draw my OC?
Only if I’m hosting an OC interaction or request event, otherwise I prefer to focus on my own projects & ideas first, sorry!
Can I use your art for a profile picture/banner/etc.?
If it's fanart, yes, as long as you credit me properly - this means visible credit, and not claiming it as your own. However, please refrain from making any edits or modifications to the artwork, such as adding filters. Please also do not use my art for roleplaying purposes.
Additionally, please do not use my OCs, as they are very personal to me 💦 All commissions are also intended for the commissioner's use only.
What do you use to draw?
Clip Studio Paint (PC). I can’t tell you what brushes I use because I downloaded tons and just pick one randomly based on whatever I feel like using that day, but if you ask me specifically about a piece I may be able to recall which one I used 😭

If that ever happened in our fandom, I'd block not only the person ripping someone else's work to shreds, but also every single person who engaged with that post.
Even if it wasn't one of my fics.
Even if it was a fic I disliked.
It's okay to have preferences, and it's okay that not everything out there is your cup of tea. Click out of fics if you're not enjoying them, adjust your filters, don't hate read stuff you know you won't like, unfollow, mute, block people when the things they share annoy you.
But to openly drag anyone through the mud like that is disgusting.
Especially (but not only) if you're not even bringing anything to the table yourself.
If you want "better" fics than the ones available, go ahead. Write them.

My hard to swallow pill is that you aren't owed reblogs and if your stuff isn't being reblogged, either your stuff isn't being seen or it's not resonating with people. While like/reblog culture on tumblr might be different than it was in 2014, people still reblog stuff. Posts still blow up. Including fanart. Including gifsets.
2014 was also the era of reblog-or-else posts, those horrible aesthetic ~click for more pastel grunge~ links, and "competitions" that included a requirement to follow OP and reblog shit. Aka, clout chasing. That culture died and the result is a like/reblog ratio that isn't what it used to be, but tbh I prefer this.
"Artists will leave tumblr/you are failing gifmakers" the artists and gifmakers obsessed with numbers and clout left years ago. If you're still here then you must realize on some level that what exists here offers something beyond that just maxxing your engagement. In my experience, you get smaller, close-knit, talkative engagement here. Additionally, you DO sometimes have huge viral posts that ruin your notifications for days at a time. This still happens regularly.
I'm not going to argue with the advice "if you love something and want more of it, reblog it!" because that's great advice, but will never stop rolling my eyes and unfollowing people who complain and blame current tumblr culture for not giving them big enough numbers because you either
Don't have a big enough audience/community yet/anymore
It's not resonating enough for people to want it on their blogs, which is not their fault. You can't get mad at people for not wanting to hang stuff up on their walls, even if you worked hard on it
You're prioritizing bigger numbers over building community/rapport. This is just not a good website for that anymore. Maybe that makes you want to leave. Okay. The people who stay are the ones who get tremendous joy from gathering in their huddled micro-communities, making what makes them happy, and passing it around their little circle together. That persists because it brings a different kind of pleasure than the kind of engagement you get on other platforms (although to reiterate, posts blowing up is a thing that obviously continues to happen here)
Obviously if you work hard on something and it doesn't get the response you want, that's hard. I don't mean to belittle those feelings, but the woe-is-me "back in my day / you're all at fault for society's decline" type posts have GOT to stop.
You're just using this website wrong.

i didn't really click with Cohost.
i joined Cohost when it first opened registrations to the public. back then, the devs were manually activating accounts so as to not overload the servers, and the activation queue numbered in the thousands. it could take a month or two before your account would be activated for posting – but i was lucky to skip the line, through the good graces of somebody with an invite code.
that invite code came from a little community on Discord, a group of talented and interesting people that i had just joined a couple of months prior to Cohost's grand opening. keen on getting to know them better, i joined in on group conversations in their general chat, commented on their creations in the art channels, and shared my own creations, as i would with any other community. i felt pretty confident that we were getting along well, and i was excited to join them together on a new social media website, where we could all connect in new and exciting ways.
Cohost is how i figured out that i had not actually connected with them whatsoever.
——————
the first thing i did when i got my account (besides sneak in a couple of shitposts) was follow as many people as i could find from this community, considering i didn't know many other people on Cohost at the time. i found about two dozen of them to follow, and of those two dozen, a grand total of three followed me back.
that by itself isn't a terrible thing, i guess. nobody is obligated to follow me back, and not everything i post is to everyone's taste. i get that much – i'd never want to turn social media into a game of connections.
so i brushed that off and kept going. i commented on their posts, just as i was already doing with them on Discord. and as i kept at it, i eventually realized… none of them were replying back to me at all, or even so much as acknowledging that they read what i had to say.
part of this is a problem with Cohost – in the spirit of being a site without metrics, comments had no Like button. this did a great job of not turning every comments section into Reddit, but it had the dual effect of leaving no way to just acknowledge somebody's comment. maybe they were reading my comments and just didn't have anything to say?
by now i was starting to have my doubts… but i wrote this off as a minor issue with Cohost itself, and kept going anyway. their Discord was still lively enough, after all. but enough seeds of doubt had been planted that i slowly started to see my interactions with them in a new light.
i slowly realized that those same people who weren't replying to me on Cohost… weren't replying to me on Discord either, and never had been.
in the group conversations i was part of, where i would drop in messages to contribute to the conversation? none of them directly replied to me. they talked around me like i wasn't there, and kept going with their conversation.
when i posted my creations, none of them commented on them. and when i commented on their creations, none of them said "thank you" back, or even left so much as a heart reaction.
the only people who were actually talking to me in that community were the three folks who had followed me back on Cohost, and a couple of others who never made Cohost accounts. the rest practically treated me like i didn't exist.
i had completely misread the room, and in the process created a parasocial relationship with the entire community. so i left, and when i did, i unfollowed most of them on Cohost as well – save the ones who were actually interested in talking with me.
still, this soured my opinion of Cohost as a whole, and i left it alone for a few months.
——————
i resumed using Cohost when more of my own friends and mutuals started using the platform. only a few folks i know really got into it, but those who did were diehard supporters, enough to prefer it as their main platform, talking up how creative and welcoming the community is. i completely understand why they jumped on it, given the slow death of Twitter has practically forced people to rethink their relationship with social media – and Cohost made a compelling case for a healthier social environment (regardless of my own experiences on the matter).
that said, should i really support a fourth website for the sake of ten to twenty people? i counted it out, and realized that's more than the number of people i actively keep up with on Mastodon, so i gave it another shot.
and while this second attempt lasted significantly longer than the first, i did come to another slow realization: i didn't actually like reading my dashboard on Cohost for some reason?
ostensibly, it comprised a lot of the same mutuals that i've followed for years on other platforms. on a surface level, all the posts they shared (mostly shares rather than original posts) were about the same interests and ideals that i liked seeing them share in other places. but, on Cohost specifically, all of these shared posts were just annoying! i didn't want to read them at all, and every time i did, i felt burned and exhausted by the end – like i had wasted my time.
i shook it around for a few months. maybe i'm still bitter about last time? maybe i don't like Cohost's presentation? but i eventually realized that, while all the posts were similar to what i was used to on a surface level, one thing had changed: the way they were written, the "voice" of Cohost.
——————
so many of the posts that came across my dash were written a certain way. here is a great big title to my great big essay. i am now talking to you, dear reader, and you should listen to me. you should believe this idea that i am telling you. if you don't agree, you are mistaken, and here are all the reasons i think you're wrong.
then somebody else would chime in with a reblog, with its own title and its own essay, and by the end i had finished reading one post that was several times larger than my screen.
essentially, each post was written like a group of teachers talking down to a child for half an hour. which… doesn't make sense to me, because everybody reading the post agreed with them. all the reblogs agreed with them, all the comments agreed with them, i agreed with them – why were they talking down to the reader, when the readers already agree? it just made everything more exhausting to read!
as i was disseminating these thoughts to my partner, she taught me a new word: didactic. i asked her what the word means, and she replied, "exactly what you just said."
Tumblr media
the vast majority of the posts i was seeing on Cohost were written in this didactic voice. i realized i was barely seeing any art, or shitposts, or CSS crimes… all while my friends were talking up Cohost for all of its art, shitposts, and CSS crimes. instead, somehow, all i got was sociopolitical essays and dry technical discussions of old computers.
so i unfollowed a bunch of people who were clogging up my dashboard with junk, even some longtime mutuals – and in the wake of my decluttering spree, i realized i was barely following anyone anymore.
——————
finally we arrive at the final nail in Cohost's coffin, one that i can actually attribute to the platform instead of my own misfortunes: a complete and total lack of discovery features.
once i had cleared out all the junk, my dashboard was very slow. i would see about seven new posts a day on average, most of them original posts from friends who didn't really use other sites. i had yet to see this creative side of Cohost that my friends were promising, and i didn't really know how to find it.
on Tumblr i would look at tags, but on Cohost people weren't really consistent with tagging things. a good piece of art might be tagged as its series, or just #art, or it might solely be tagged as #The Cohost Global Feed (which was an "if you know, you know" sort of global tag). and that's assuming it was tagged at all!
tags were a dead end because nobody used them consistently, and worse yet, nobody browsed tags either – creating a negative feedback loop of tags seeming useless. (i was very excited for tag "synonyms," a system where e.g. #gaming and #video games would count as the same tag. unfortunately, it launched a month before Cohost announced its closure, and never got the chance to take off. hey Tumblr, if you're reading this… 👀)
Cohost's stance against numbers and algorithms, while noble, also created a problem where there was no other way to discover new things. you could either browse tags for people to follow (see above), or browse shares in your dashboard for people to follow (which i just got through paring down significantly), and… that's it! there were otherwise no ways to discover new folks on the platform, not even so much as a random post button.
…i did try though! there were times that new folks would jump into my likes or replies, especially via my pet project Now U Know Gaming – so i would check in on my notifications religiously, starving for people to follow. i did follow a handful, but most folks fell into three categories:
they had "piss on the poor" reading comprehension. (this was unfortunately common.)
they shared a lot of the same dry, didactic essays that i was trying to avoid.
they shared art and shitposts!… 50 times a day, which would flood my dashboard and drown out my mutuals.
so my dashboard remained slow until the day Cohost announced its closure, whereupon it lit up with activity for one last hurrah… before closing for good.
——————
in writing all of this out i find myself making comparisons to Tumblr, whether it's reading comprehension or didactic voice or the spotty nature of discovery via tags. the trouble is, i have never once had this much issue with Tumblr on these things. on Tumblr these are occasional annoyances; on Cohost they were defining traits of my time with the platform.
what drives me up the wall is that nobody else seemed to struggle with these things as much as i did. everyone i talked to either loved Cohost, or simply didn't spend a lot of time with it. surely i'm not the only person who tried, and tried, and tried so hard, just to ram into walls at every turn. i would've loved to have seen more CSS crimes… if i didn't also have to live with didactic lectures every other post!
i know there were people out there on Cohost that i would've connected with. i know they exist! but i have no trouble finding people to click with on other social media platforms, while on Cohost it was an impossible task, soured by so many previous attempts. perhaps it is for the best that i can no longer try, even if i wanted to.
to wrap up my long story of Cohost and missed connections, here's one last memory: i made a post about Xenoblade and plurality that i ended up crossposting to several sites, including Cohost and Bluesky. one person found it on Bluesky, and since it didn't have DMs at the time, they decided to send an ask about it on Cohost… to my partner, thinking she was me.
i never once received an ask on Cohost.

The lack of tours is beyond William and Kate's control. People are complaining for the usual reason - the absence of new content to drive clicks, blog engagement, and hits.
As someone with a Wales blog, that's untrue ^^. Criticism of the waleses drives engagement down, as well as reblogs, follows, likes etc. You get more asks, but they're usually repeating the same point so your other followers get annoyed and unfollow you too.
Criticising the Waleses in any regard never helps engagement
You do realize that there are other kinds of blogs that cover the Waleses than the pro-Waleses blogs, right? And that those blogs might see more traffic when they criticize the Waleses?
There’s the Kate haters, the anti-Waleses, the Sussex Squad, the Wales Wailers, the anti-BRF, the William haters, the Charles stans, the Diana cult, the Harry fans, the Yorkies, the kiddos (blogs focusing on a specific Wales child, or all 3), the traditionalists (Queen Elizabeth is the end all be all and monarchy should do everything exactly the way she did). Just to name a few. All of these blogs use the Waleses for their own engagement and content, and their coverage could be critical in a way that the pro-Waleses blogs aren’t.
That’s why I didn’t specify a type of blog in my original comment. Because criticism of the Waleses is coming from all sides of the royal fandom and from all kinds of blogs, not just “our” side.
(Now, before anyone else comes for me with “not my blog!” - cool, great. I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about the blogs that *do* do this.)
Again, another friendly reminder: social media is 100% algorithm. Meaning your experience on any social media website (including tumblr and other blogging platforms) is curated by a machine learning what you like and dislike. It’s only going to show you content that matches your preferences to keep you subscribed and using their site.

Good timezone to you all. I am Alfred, the alter who will be introducing you all to our system.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
➜ ‎‎‎Introduction
We do not feel comfortable sharing our system name, as it is also our name on Simply Plural and we don't hand that out freely, but you may collectively refer to us as David, using he/them pronouns.
We are bodily over the age of eighteen and would like to ask that minors DNI. There will be no NSFW content, this is simply a matter of comfort and boundaries. If you are bodily a minor and we follow you, it is not an invitation to follow back. We simply made a mistake. Quietly let us know in our asks or DMs and we will unfollow you.
After the system collapse, we appear to have officially gained a host and co-host. Those would be Phoenix and Caller respectively. Phoenix uses se/sea/sear pronouns while Caller uses phone/call/caller/ring/click.
We are a diagnosed traumagenic system, but most of our alters hold no gripes towards endogenic systems and the like. We're rather envious of them, actually. That is not to say that all of our system's members agree, and for that matter, we collectively identify as endo-neutral.
We have only one side blog -- a blog for our littles and age regressors to post freely on. We won’t tag it here, but we also won’t stop you from looking for it yourselves. We simply prefer to keep that blog on the down low as it is meant to be a space for little interactions -- pun unintended -- and not big interactions.
Our beloved partner system is @the-shadows-of-gotham <3333

ignore that I accidentally unfollowed you while trying to click on your ask box—
what started your love for crocodiles and alligators, if you remember?
I've lived in Florida my whole life so gators have always been present in some form and I've always liked them.
I started associating myself more with them sometime around getting painting assignments to lean into Florida aesthetics and history, which I took a real shine to in general. Around the same time my family had just moved to a house tucked away in the swamp and had teen alligators showing up in our backyard and I thought that was delightful so alligators just became something I enjoyed and associated myself with. And it's easier to just cast a wide net over all crocodilia as things I like, but alligators really are my preference and you can tell by how I point out when things are clearly crocodiles and not alligators because they've got skinny little snoots vs. how wide and round alligators snouts are.
I started drawing myself with a gator tail because I saw some like, reposted One Piece fanart on Pinterest that had them and I thought they looked cool. and it went well with other things I thought looked cool like tiny horns that could be reminiscent of the back ridges on a gator, and spiky teeth.
Having something easy that people can associate with you is also just a nice easy way of forming simple connections with people, so there's always that as a reason I leaned into it too.

So in your bio it says the fandoms you write for/follow are Glen Powell, TGM, MCU, and WWE...but you literally only ever post Glen Powell, Twisters (aka Glen Powell), and TGM (which is only ever hangman so also Glen Powell). And I've never seen you post anything in the MCU. And WWE stuff is like maybe once a month.
Don't say you write for multiple fandoms if you only write for Glen aka Mr. Overrated. I don't get why you'd want to waste your time on him anyway. He's a terrible actor who can only pull off the cocky douchebag type. And the only good movies he has are where he's shirtles so you're distracted by the bad acting.
Hi there! I'm going to be honest, when I first saw this ask I almost just deleted it and moved on because I feel like you're just having a bad day and projecting that onto me. But I actually want to address your message because I think it highlights something that many fanfic writers face: balancing inspiration, audience interactions, and personal interests.
First, when it comes to writing for multiple fandoms, it is a challenge to keep things balanced. I do try my best to write for all the fandoms I enjoy, but inspiration isn’t something you can force. Sometimes, I’m more drawn to one character or fandom than another, and my writing reflects that. Right now, I’ve been feeling particularly inspired by Glen Powell’s projects—but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped caring about the other fandoms. (I'm sure when Thunderbolts comes out next year I'll probably start writing more Bucky Barnes stuff, etc.)
Second, I do want to point out that even within Glen Powell-related fandoms like TGM I do write for other characters. I've written several things for Rooster both for Kinktober and just as standalone fics. I've also written one or two things for Bob as well.
Thirdly, it’s worth noting that my Glen Powell-related posts tend to get the most engagement. While I’m not solely motivated by likes or reblogs, it’s encouraging to see people enjoying my work. Naturally, I lean into what resonates with readers because it feels good to know others are as excited about something as I am. That said, I still love writing for my other fandoms when the inspiration strikes or when I get requests that spark an idea.
Speaking of requests, a lot of my WWE content comes from prompts or suggestions people send me. I don’t watch as closely as I used to, so it’s harder for me to come up with original ideas—but I still enjoy writing for those characters when something clicks. Similarly, I’ve written for the MCU (two Bucky Barnes fics as part of Kinktober!), but since it’s been a while since I’ve watched the movies or shows, I’d want to revisit them to make sure I’m doing the characters justice. With so much MCU content, that’s a big time commitment while also being a wife, mom, working full time, etc. But it’s something I’d like to do in the future.
As for your opinion on Glen Powell as an actor: everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it’s okay if you don’t like him or his work. Personally, I think Glen is a fantastic actor who brings a lot of charisma and range to his roles. He’s certainly played the cocky, confident type, but if you look at his broader filmography, you’ll see he’s taken on a variety of roles. His performance in Hit Man, for instance, showcases his range and ability to embody complex characters very well, in my opinion.
At the end of the day, this blog is a creative space where I share the things I’m passionate about. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read, interact, and support, but I also have to write what feels authentic to me. I understand that not everything I post will be for everyone—and that’s okay. If Glen Powell or the content I’ve been posting isn’t to your taste, I won’t take it personally if you decide to scroll past or unfollow. Fandom spaces are big, and I’m sure you can find content that aligns better with your preferences.

Note
I'm not really a regular here
But I do think your blog is funny, that anon was weird though, I mean if they don't like your blog, leave it, unfollow, no one asks them to stay, that was just being extra rude
If I don't like a blog, I just ignore it and move to other blogs
Some people are so miserable that they prefer to ruin someone's mood than click the very simple unfollow/block button. I post what I like though, not really here to try my hardest to be "funny"
Thank you for your words ❤️

𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒
𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘
as far as activity goes, i’m someone who is able to provide rather consistent replies. unless life throws me a curveball, something happens with my health, or our creative chemistry just isn’t working, i’m never not writing! it’s something i thoroughly enjoy doing (and have been since 2011) and consistently try to push myself in. however, like aforementioned, life is unpredictable, and if i’m not super speedy in my replies, i ask that you give me some grace, respect my boundaries, and trust that i’ll respond to you as soon as i’m able.
on the other side of the coin, if i find that our thread is starting to die, and your replies are becoming less and less consistent, i might ask for some sort of update on your next response. if i feel that i’m waiting around and our server is becoming more of a waste of server space than a story worth investing in, then i’ll politely leave. this also goes hand-in-hand with not being able to get a hold of the other partner without difficulty (long periods of time without any communication, very spotty messages, etc.); i’m someone that uses escapism as a way to cope with external factors, so consistency is highly preferred, and communication is a must.
𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓
i’m 25 years old– with this in consideration, i will not be roleplaying with anyone under the age of 21– there are no exceptions to this rule. the types of themes and content that i curate in my writing are things i’m only comfortable talking with someone that i’d be able to get a drink with at the bar. while 21 is the minimum age requirement, i’d prefer someone closer to my age, seeing as it’s easier to build a connection with someone that’s in the same chapter of life as you! (-:
𝐍𝐒𝐅𝐖 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓 while i’m a slow burn girly until the day that i die, we must talk about the elephant in the room if we’re going to be partners: smut.
i’m someone that will occasionally reblog nsfw content if i feel that it pertains to one of my muses or wanted opposites as a means for inspiration. if you feel that this might make you uncomfy, i’d politely recommend unfollowing. with this in mind, while smut is only going to make up a fraction of our roleplay, i’m someone that prefers it be written into the story. tying into that, i’m not someone that engages in gratuitous smut writing or smut-without-plot. no shame in that, just not my cup of tea. thank you for respecting that boundary in advance! ♡
𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒
themes and depictions that are 100% non-negotiable, off the table, and not up for debate when writing include:
depictions of SA / r*pe content, incest, noncon
excessive depictions of torture
depictions of animal abuse/cruelty
incestuous or sexual activity involving minors or children
𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘 chemistry is everything for my muses and i; if we’re able to work with you and your muses to create something lovely, challenging, and captivating, then we’re so here for it. if a friendship so happens to bloom on top of that partnership, that’s even better. however, i’m someone that couldn’t bullshit my way out of anything with a gun pressed to my head, so if things just aren’t clicking between us or our muses, i’m not going to force myself into feigning that type of connection. if i express wanting a disconnect, please do not take it personal– i’m just very selective and always have been.
𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐂𝐬:
without needing to divulge my own personal reasons, here are a list of fcs i will not be writing against:
taylor swift sabrina carpenter
ariana grande
emma roberts sydney sweeney the kardashian/jenner family riverdale cast tsitp cast outer banks cast (excluding madison bailey)
( this is always subject to change (: )

Rules
Age Restricted
This blog is 18+, absolutely no exceptions! Mun is in their 20s and will not rp with minors. If you are under 18, please do not follow or interact. You will be blocked.
Semi-Selective
At the moment, I am happy to rp/interact with the majority of those who want to write with me! However, I can be choosy if I feel our writing styles don't match or we don't click in the way we portray our muses.
I may drop threads if I lose motivation or I feel as though I'm carrying it. If you're concerned I've dropped our thread and wish to continue it, please just let me know! I may be open to continuing with some additional plotting, or at the very least I will offer an explanation as to why it was dropped.
I don't do exclusives! I love to see writers portray their own take on their muses, so doubles are welcome here.
Hard blocking is reserved for minors and weirdos - I won't hard block you if I no longer want to interact, I will probably just unfollow.
Dark Themes
This is Angel Dust - dark topics and are going to be a common occurance. Please be mindful of your own wellbeing and/or triggers. Sexual violence, physical violence, abuse, trauma, sex work, substance abuse and addiction are all big parts of Angel's story, and while I will do my best to tag things accordingly, if this is likely to trigger you, I would advise not to follow.
Mun =/= Muse
Angel can be a prize dickhead at times. He might not be kind to your muse, even if your muse is kind to him. He has a short temper and zero impulse control, and is prone to flying off the handle. I will most likely ask if I feel like anything I write would cross a line, but I don't see this as ever being more than Angel throwing around hurtful words.
Triggers
I tag obvious triggers such as abuse and violence, but if you need anything more specific tagged, just let me know! I may fuck up from time to time and forget to tag something, in which case just shoot me a message and I'll fix it.
NSFW
NSFW content is fine and to be expected with this muse! However, I won't write smut unless we've been writing together for a while. All NSFW content will be tagged, and anything explicit will be under a cut.
Shipping
Head over heels for Huskerdust, not massively interested in shipping Angel with other characters from the show. However, I ship based on chemistry, so if our muses develop a connection, I'm open to exploring this. I prefer this to be discussed ooc if it starts heading that direction. Open to OC ships, but again, chemistry is key. And, obviously, Angel is gay - I'll be writing him as such. If your muse is female/fem-leaning, sorry, but he ain't into it!
(I also feel the need to stress that while I enjoy exploring the dynamic between Angel and Valentino, please do not misinterpret this as shipping. To be clear, writing interactions between characters who have a toxic and abusive relationship while also acknowledging love, sex and trauma bonding as a realistic part of that relationship does not constitute shipping, to my own definition. I am more than happy to explore the dark themes within their dynamic as long as we are on the same page about this.)
Requires Discussion
I am pretty lax, and will rp a lot without requiring prior discussion. If your muse is becoming violent towards mine, you don't need to worry about asking permission, especially when it is context relevant (eg. a thread between Angel and Valentino). I only ask that the following are discussed beforehand: any form of sexual assault (I will not write anything graphic), discussion of csa, a character causing massive injury to another or a character killing another.
Off Limits
Graphic descriptions of sexual violence; sexual or romantic interactions with a character who is a minor; incest; paraphilias
Format
I have a preference for long-form RP, but I also do IC asks. Multi para is preferred.
Asks
I will answer most asks - just please don't spam my inbox!
Literacy
I don't expect anyone to match my length with replies - this is largely because I have a tendency to go overboard and write more than my partner! I prefer to write multi para because of this, but I'm open to all lengths.
Although I don't expect partners to match my length, I do like them to match my effort. As much as this is a fun and silly hobby, it's time-consuming and laborious, and I very much pour my heart into my writing. I want to write with people who value my contributions as much as I value theirs!
Personally, I am not massively bothered about literacy skill. However, if your language or grammar make it so I struggle to understand your response, I will not be able to write with you.
Activity Status
Currently very active! With my current number of threads, my average reply time is around 3-4 days. But if for some reason I haven't replied, don't panic! I'm a naturally slow writer and a perfectionist, it can take me a while to finish a response, especially if our thread responses are long. And, obviously, I do have a life outside of tumblr. However, if you're worried I've forgotten our thread, just shoot me a message!
OOC
I am more than happy to talk ooc, and welcome yall to message me! Whether it's for plotting reasons, ideas, headcanons, or just to shoot the shit, I love getting to know the people I write with!

i have to go to work but say it with me:
rp cannot devalue canon. rp cannot take away canonical rep or somehow destroy your preferred canon ship. rp that doesn't involve you is not about you. it takes three clicks max to unfollow/block someone when you don't like their content/interpretation and multiple keystrokes to complain to people about blogs you don't control.
thank you y'all have a good one.
