okay okay okay, so my laptop cannot keep up with how fast i'm typing so apologies for any spelling errors

instead of gill getting banished for attacking a navy officer, he's sent to the oversea with raft, who the undersea are newly allied with. edyn starts digging on what's happened and finds something she shouldn't have about gillion's prophecy and the sun goddess, so the elders kick her out. she swims to the surface with a purpose: to find out what's happened to gill. she bumps into niklaus along the way who she makes a deal with to grant her magic, essentially he becomes her warlock patron. she has to sacrifice the piece of knowledge she gathered, but she still knows what she's aiming towards

in this au she isn't picked up by the crew until after the events at canella. we still get apple though don't worry, she followed after chip this time. it's still chip who pulls her from the sea. she doesn't tell them what she's planning and actually intends to leave them as soon as they find land, but then they notice some sea lemurs, which edyn tries to draw (she's got finn's love of aquatic animals). chip convinces her that they like to eat gunpowder (she's a little less uninformed than gill, but not enough to save her from chip's tricks) and BOOM (literally)

she uses her magic to help them reach an island and then it's loffinlot so all that stuff happens. in this arc she essentially realises that these two could be helpful and decides to stick with them. edyn makes another deal with niklaus, a proper one this time, not a pact for magic (remember she doesn't remember the cost of the last deal so she just thinks nik gave her the magic for free) and has the same price of one favour. nothing changes much in this arc, chip still marries amanda, it's a whole thing but then they leave and it's all good

royale casino arc stays mostly the same, but instead of chip revealing that he's been lying to gill the whole time, edyn accidentally lets slip about her younger brother. this leads to a whole confrontation after they leave where chip demands to know the rest. edyn tells them about gill and how he's the chosen one and what her plan is. chip is Not happy about that and accuses her of using them (cue jay getting all uncomfortable in the background). chip almost kicks her off the crew, but jay manages to calm things down and everything's fine

marshal john and ollie arrives, and obviously edyn doesn't know john so doesn't have much connection with him, but she Does connect with ollie. he reminds her a little of gill and so immediately she starts looking out for him. cue edyn and chip bickering over who's being a bad influence etc etc

desire island arc begins and first of all edyn gets some gay moments with the beast sisters (i'm sorry for calling them that but it popped into my head and it's so so funny actually) because she deserves it. they have that confrontation with malice and it's edyn who manages to survive and earn status as 'the one'. the act of true love is between edyn and jay because lesbians. the rest of the arc proceeds like normal

paramount tournament arc pretty much as normal. nothing much to say there, except edyn starts to get violent and jay and chip (mostly chip) start to respect her more. edyn and caspian get on well in a friendly way. edyn really relates to lizzie and they don't exactly bond cause lizzie's all stand-offish but they respect each other from a distance. everything else follows as normal. we still get the ollie thing and chip makes the deal with niklaus

not got much to say about edison kingdom yet. nothing particularly stands out to me as needing massive changes (except the obvious, like edyn's less impulsive and naive than gill, so maybe the abdul thing doesn't happen? idk)

the block. oooo ooo ooo this one's fun! okay so mostly everything follows as normal but the room that makes you spill your secrets? edyn reveals her deal with niklaus. and the one that makes you hallucinate? edyn sees gill wearing navy uniform and he doesn't recognise her. and the jay spy reveal? well edyn's obviously more understanding about that, considering she was lying for a while too, and still kinda was before the mouth room spilled it. jay still fires at edyn, who goes down. the talk between chip and jay is a little more intense because obviously jay saw how chip reacted to edyn's secret, but he's changed now so it's all fine and gets sorted

all-port. obviously they don't meet edyn, but caspian tells edyn about the artificial leviathan thing. price stuff still happens, pistolwhip drinking moment still happens, lizzie and chip fight still happens, we're all good. they go investigate the raft base. just like gill, edyn sneaks off at the mention of a chosen one being moved, because she knows they're talking about gillion. she gets a rage moment too because feminism. she finds a few reports and reads about what's been going on with gill. haven't worked out the specifics of what he's up to, but it's not great. she's worried about him and what they're turning him into. they get the documents for the artificial leviathan, chip gets cursed, they get out. they had planned to go after the leviathan thing immediately, but need to help out the cursed bastard, so get directed to noctis

pretty much all noctis stuff stays the same. edyn is the one that strays from the path because she's getting used to her powers by now and wants to prove that she can be useful too. obviously that doesn't end well and they meet gryffon. murder mystery stuff stays the same. edyn gets to feel useful cause she's the detective, woo! after this chip fully trusts her with decisions and stuff, but they still bicker because of course they do

liquidis. chip gets exorcised blah blah blah, they fight his demons blah blah, edyn gets some cool battle moments, which is fun. this. this! this is the important bit. when they eventually end up going to the temple of the sun and looking at the mural, edyn immediately remembers the things she read about the sun champion. she starts getting suspicions about things (she thinks it might be her (spoiler: it is)) but doesn't tell anyone. then they get transported to the feywild

mostly follows the same plot points, except apple gets snatched instead of pretzel (who idk where she is, maybe she snuck with gill who knows) and edyn goes batshit crazy. that's HER bird! you don't mess with her bird! chip goes through the maze thingie and asks to speak with gillion, just out of curiosity. he scares the shit out of gill by just blurting out hi out of nowhere, but gill goes to hide somewhere out of navy earshot and they get to talking. chip says he's with edyn and she's looking for him. gill's confused cause he was told edyn was still in the undersea. the conversation is cut short when a navy officer walks into the room gillion's in. chip thinks gill seems nice (he was expecting some evil navy bullshit) but doesn't tell edyn he spoke to him. deck of many things still happens. bellstrum still happens. edyn pulls a card and POOF

in the dunjon she's forced to go through gillion's training and learns how cruel the elders are first hand. she somehow listens in on a meeting between the elders that she remembers walking past and not paying attention to on one of her visits to gill and learns that she is in fact the sun champion. just as she learns this, niklaus takes over the dunjon

everything else in the feywild proceeds as normal. then they go back to liquidis and jay makes the deal with niklaus to get edyn back and boom she's back woo hip hooray! emotional moments where chip finally admits that he loves her (platonically platonically) and yeah. fun times

i'm gonna stop here for now cause this is super long now and it's been like an hour. i'll probably end up figuring stuff out up to the current arc (maybe till just before current stuff, so i can have an idea of what plays out first)

just general stuff though: edyn and chip have this weird rivalry do we hate each other or are we just siblings thing throughout. edyn and jay are really close. like really close (gay? we'll see). edyn's still got water magic stuff. fighting wise she's more defensive than offensive, and is a bit of a healer really. she's sweet and kind and caring but also intensely stubborn and secretive, meaning her and chip clash quite often

give me a minute while i collect my insane thoughts, but here me out. au where edyn's the one that joins the crew, not gill
