i wonder what it's going to be like looking back at this era of media, with its graveyard of unfinished series that got axed for corporate reasons
#i hadn't even started ofmd yet so like - not in the fandom#but yk. i enjoy a lot of lesbian media so things i love and things i haven't had time to start yet bc s1 came out uh yesterday getting axed#that's not unfamiliar to me at all#my perception of ofmd is of like. this behemoth though right this giant thing#at which point i'm well and truly starting to ask What does it take to get renewed in this media scape even for a final send-off season#because it seems to me it takes one of two things: being like. fucking stranger things/game of thrones big - which is just never going to be#most shows (most good - great shows even)#or b - having a budget of yk. 5 dollars and a pb&j and “Broad Appeal”#and by broad appeal i mean appealing to Majority audiences as opposed to minorities yk what i mean#and also appealing to people who want media that can be consumed forgive the bluntness brainlessly
