#I was thinking about 'make new extra hoods to go alongside the maxis ones' but I'd rather do those without shell restrictions#And then maybe look into how you're supposed to package & share installable subhoods#Been thinking about that for a while and I'd like to go all out and reinstall Sim City 4 to make custom maps too#But that's not a Calcinidae Bay project I don't think#So the options are either I keep the three Maxis destinations but gut all the lots and treat them like shells#Or I make three new vacation destinations (one Far East one Mountain one Island) that are perhaps related to but distinct from Maxis ones#and fill them entirely with lots made from shells#tbh I'm leaning towards the Maxis thing myself because then they would sort of count as lot makeovers for people to download#and I've wanted to incorporate some maxis-lot-makeovers-as-shells in Calcinidae Bay and this is probably the best way to do it#Since it has a custom university and downtown already#sorry to run another super niche poll where I probably won't listen to the good advice I get LMAO#I can always add new shells to the Maxis destinations too & Harestone Retreat was already made to fit into Three Lakes so...

Ui Ui's fault that Gojo died: confirmed
Guyyyyyyys
Yk how bored sukuna got after killing Gojo
What if ui ui hadn't moved his body?
#I rly missed the “sukuna would eat Gojo” options but it didn't cross my mind#I don't think Sukuna actually ate people there's just no evidence. Like it's probably 1) the twin womb thing which isn't actually eating#2) cannibalism was considered medicinal in some ways back then it wasn't like an edgy thing#3) there were famines in the Heian era so what was pookie supposed to do#I used to hc that Sukuna ate the sorcerers who challenged him out of respect and to not to be wasteful and maybe to gain power#Free food bby#But I mean look at Toji and how he was always putting stuff in his mouth during a fight. Sukuna has a second giant mouth exposed and never#BUT STILL I wish I'd run this poll w a few more options bc I want to see what everyone else thinks#And bc I think cannibalism is funny#Like do we think Sukuna would eat Gojo's body to mourn him only if he can't be revived?#Or is sukuna like get in my mouf without rly trying

[Hello hello! The wedding is in a little over a month 😬 and I could use some help figuring out how to run it... So I figured I'd throw a couple of polls out there.
We'll start with how I should run the actual wedding and then I'm gonna ask for Opinions on other stuff like a temporary break and timings for posting wedding stuff!]
Event Style would be kinda like Glitter Attack and the Mersonic/Mershadow event - I'd be answering as asks come, so people can react and respond in real (ish) time. I think I'd keep it running the whole weekend to get through as many as possible, and stragglers over the following week.
The other three options would be less frantic on the day but would require more prep work.
Just trying to get a feel of what people want from this wedding, if anyone has any other suggestions please throw me a comment!]

Fun fact or two about each of the avatars? Something you like about each of them?
I have 14 of them so bare with me; quick summary of the project, I made a poll for people to vote on characteristics for TMA Avatars, and designed a character based on the winning options. The theme and names of the characters have all been suggested by my followers, and together we've created 14 Avatars based on the fears from the Magnus Archives!
Some fun facts about them:
Eye (Delores Calypso): They were only supposed to be a test run if I'd enjoy the concept. I was surprised how many people engaged and liked the idea, so after a successful run I decided to go throughout with all of them.
Delores had an extra poll for "Style" (vote the aesthetic of the characters) but I deleted it because I found it too limiting (and I didn't like the result lol. I think 'academic' won, but I decided to scrap the option)
Their statement is really short since I tried to fit it all in one tweet (150 characters) and I was really unsure about my writing. As time goes on, I get more confident. I read tarot myself, and I really want to expand on this character some day.
Vast (Noden Freyr): I was really hoping for the theme 'Forest' to win this one, and go a lost lumberjack route, but that didn't happen lol. I didn't pick sky to be a theme, since vast is my least favourite entity and I have no feelings towards falling.
I imagine Noden to be a very quiet and soft-spoken person, letting their music speak for them.
Spiral (Quincy Galatea): Technically this is two people, both Quincy and her muse/ painting Thaila. Thaila is the part of the Spiral, reappearing in their work to create an obsession with the shapes and colours.
Quincy is in love with Thaila, continuing to paint to see her again.
I would like to redesign this one, keep all the features, just rework them a little.
Buried (Dante Van Der Aart): I think this was the oc that really kicked things into motion. I did more to his statement, and it really showed in the response!
He was quickly proclaimed to be a self-obsessed idiot with a bitter ex by the comments, lol. I think he's most likely to fall into a pyramid scheme.
Dark (Carmilla Mara): Long before I started this series I tweeted something similar to "if we can ship entities, I wanna ship the dark and Desolation" which spiral into an idea of doomed lesbians (moon and sun). I made sure to bring it up again when the voting for the dark started. It started a campaign to make sure dark and Desolation would be shippable. I added a wife to Carmilla statement so I could weave that in when it was Desolations turn.
Carmilla is named after the lesbian vampire.
This one I would also like to redesign, it was 2am when I finished her but looking back I really wish I did more to her design. Carmilla is also the only one with a “monster” appearance, and I really like that. I based her on a bat, so technically she's not a vampire since they are canon in TMA.
Stranger (Ambrose Jame): Stranger is my favourite entity, but I was disappointed when taxidermy won. It's a theme that's already explored in TMA, but it was fun to expand on what's already canon. His character is mainly inspired by the song Terry's taxidermy by Teddy Hyde!
Ambrose is one of my favourites, just because I love this archetype of character. A queer, evil jester. I took inspiration from Klaus from Umbrella Academy but also Cruella.
End (Lucien, "Lucky" Ace): I was rightfully called out for stealing Vico Ortiz likeness for Lucky. I used them as a reference and when people could tell it was them I decided to change it up and added some more people to my reference board haha.
Originally, Lucky's eyes were blacked out, for some reason. And they used their glasses to hide that. I have no idea why, something related to The End, but I decided to scrap that.
Bonus: I made Lucky before the dice statement from TmagP came out, which featured a similar character to Lucky, also related to gambling and a mysterious appearance with glasses and black clothing. I had to add a note on some of their posts that I made this character before Tmagp since some comments started mentioning the episode.
Desolation (Élia Seraphina): Carmilla's wife! Lesbians wins!
All the names are suggested and voted on, but Élia's name is very special to me since it's similar to a teacher that meant a lot to me. She was also a sweet old lady, and Élia will always remind me of her.
Her theme was inspired by a Swedish punk song, 800° by Ebba Grön! I tried to do her hair after the sun, and do Carmilla's after the moon.
Lonely (Ophelia "Pearl" Ainsley): I took about a three months break before completing this one. Parasocial, her theme, was my own suggestion, but I was really hoping "housewife" would win. I find the concept so fitting and was really hoping to write about a ghost housewife still waiting for her husband to come home.
I had just finished Jennette McCurdy book "I'm glad my mom died" before I did this avatar. I knew that I wanted parasocial to be from the celebrities pov. I based her insecurity of my own, after I started gaining followers on my social media, I created an addition to content creating and had troubles balancing it with my private life. I felt like two different people, similar to Ophelia and Pearl (I’m better now, but Ophelia isn't) I also took some inspiration from BoJack Horseman's Sarah Lynn!
Everyone knows her as Pearl, I imagine it was a role she played as a child in a popular sitcom and became famous and beloved for. Her mother suggested changing her name to her character's role to be more recognisable and thereof creating this perfect image of herself. I made her hair white, round earrings and round face to be the perfect pearl. I really like how cigarette smoke and can be similar to Lonely's fog.
Web (Micrathena, “Mica” Dolus: I recently started Jonny’s book Thirteen Storeys, which is a collection of horror stories and one is about sleep deprivation and a TV Host, lol. I won’t give spoilers, but I’m really enjoying the book; however, it reminded me of Mica.
Mica is one of those character I have the most fun with, mostly because I love the web, and it also plays on parasocial relationships. I like to think Mica is intertwined with most of the avatars. I really enjoy that a lot of them are performers or working with media. I have a degree in production within media so it’s very fun to create horror around my own field (there’s so much horror).
Corruption (Beatrice, “Bea” Florance): Corruption is one of those entities I don’t really care about; however, I think Bea has my favourite theme and statement. I find the idea of a fungus disguising itself as a flower so interesting. In their statements, I made it a commentary on generation trauma, caring for something that kills you. Also, she's a confirmed #MILF with a canon daughter she'll pass her entity onto.
I think I could have done more on her design, the clothes are so flat and the fungi growing on her arm should be more. I want to draw them again to go bigger.
Hunt (Remo Chase): My main motivation with this statement was rewriting Series 6; Episode 4 of Black Mirror, because the concept is so good, and they did it so bad. Also Lady Gaga.
When I draw him again, I want to emphasize the scars on his face, stretching them from his mouth to his eye. He is blind on his left eye, giving him trouble to take pictures. His injuries were all caused in the field attempting to expose celebrities and getting the best photograph to sell to gossip sources. Mainly from other paparazzi working the field as him. (I was a little tipsy writing his statement… and posting it… took me a few days to reread it to see it was fine)
Slaughter (Carmen Aria): I totally rigged this one so Opera, female, and fat would win. It’s not over until the fat lady sings! But I really enjoyed this concept. I love music themes and slaughter have so many music references. Grifter's Bone is my favourite statements, and I had already touched on a music theme with Noden. Opera was such an interesting take, esp with the world that enrols around it.
I think she and Dante could have a Gomez/ Morticia relation, or be bitter exes with benefits, the jury is still out on that one.
Flesh (Odette Hart): The last avatar! I’ve already talked a little about her design and name, but I really wanted something extra for the last avatar. I struggled a lot of finding a good reference source for her since I had no idea what I wanted to go with design vice. I looked at a lot of ice skaters and ballets, and somehow Katara from Avatar the last airbender made her way into my Pinterest feed. I loved the water and ice theme around her and used her as an inspiration for the design!
I think it is my best statements, since I had been writing short horror stories for over a year and got more confident with them! I mainly based it on ballet dancers and added blades. I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m horrible at ice skating and super uncomfortable on ice.
I think she, Ophelia and Remo are all childhood friends, do with that information what you will.
And before anyone ask, I might do an extinction avatar at some point in the future. I'm not a huge fan of extinction, but if I were to do an avatar I would do it a little differently. I imagine them being quite young, since the entity was still evolving in TMA. Someone also pointed out it made sense, since pollution and climate change directly affects the younger generation.
I might do it.
maybe.
not right now tho.
#i doubt anyone will read this#thank you for asking sorry it took me a few days to reply#i had 14 characters to talk about#the magnus archives#tma#mag#tmaoc

I'm considering adding another route following the first seven nights. I've gotten various requests over the past few weeks and this encompasses most of the types of story lines that have been requested. Each of these routes would come with a unique prologue and MC. I'll explain each one below.
M/F/M - Storyline where Valdricht and Serax aren't in a relationship. You can choose to be with both of them in an MFM relationship or split off with one. I think the trickiest aspect of this one is the MF options. Valdricht/MC would be a piece of cake, but if it's just you and Serax, it'll be really difficult to get him to engage with the epic gods and monsters story line. He'd rather laze about a brothel and tell stories of slaying dragons than actually slaying them. It might be kind of fun to write all the ways he attempts to avoid doing anything that will advance the plot. It might also turn into a brothel simulator.
Priest - You'd play as a male MC raised within the Elodari faith with a backstory that's pretty intense. Your overall story line would be similar to that of the Heretic route, except with the added struggle of adapting to the female body given to you by The Weaver.
Female Serax - Why does this need its own route? Can't we just click a button and make Serax a lady? Girl, please. It needs an entirely different backstory for Serax, Valdricht, and the MC. Tbh I've given this one the least amount of thought, probably because I know it would be the most fun and I don't want to distract myself. And by least amount of thought, I mean that I have a 20k word outline.
Cultist - Oh boy. Here's some BoS lore for you. This was supposed to be the original story route alongside the Heretic route. I'd planned to do a Light vs Darkness MC route where you could be raised in the Elodari faith as a vestal or raised by fanatical Duskweaver cultists. I realized that it would mean a lot more writing and I'd be significantly delaying the demo launch, so I scrapped it. But it's all still outlined and it's quite different. Rather than being a Cinderella-esque story, you're a venerated child and you're raised in a hidden place with the knowledge that you'll be the mother of a god. To sum it up, you'd play as a sheltered shadow princess.
Anyway, I'll run this poll again later. I think that your opinions might change as you get to know the characters better.
Night IV is coming along well. The intimate scene took some turns I didn't expect and came out even better than I'd hoped. I'm still playing with the Zealot route to see if there's any possibility for that on Night IV, but I don't think there's any scenario in which it feels like intimacy is something she genuinely wants, rather than feels obligated to engage in because of The Weaver. Having grown up on my grandma's stash of 70's bodice rippers about women getting abducted by hot pirates and highland lairds, I could easily write that sort of scene, but I think it would offend modern sensibilities. I'll give it some more thought once I wrap up the main route.

May I ask why you think Biden stepping down and Kamala being the candidate to be 'good news'? I'm still voting for whoever the Democratic candidate is ofc, but I worry this move threw away the average swingvoter who may have been swayed towards voting blue. I don't see how anyone who may have been okay voting for Biden by virtue of him being an old white dude is gonna be as nice towards a brown woman. I mean, people were too sexist for Hillary, the most milquetoast white woman imaginable. I'd really like to hear your perspective.
Biden has been polling like shit for months, and basically fucking everyone has been calling for him to step out of the race for a while now. It's been the opinion of political experts that he doesn't have much of a shot in this election for a variety of reasons. The vast majority of his own base is incredibly dissatisfied with his stance on Palestine (an understatement), and numbers have been reflecting that he was going to be running against some truly miserable odds because of that.
It is genuinely the best option for him to step out of the race. Literally just about anyone else has a much better shot at winning than Biden did. Kamala included! There was a press conference a while back where someone actually asked him if he'd step down if Kamala polled better, and he said he wouldn't. Which is extremely worrying, because it demonstrates that he may have been prioritizing his own personal ego over the importance of keeping Republicans out of office this election.
I don't like Biden, and I really didn't like his odds in this race. Nobody else did, either. The fact that Obama came out and said Biden needs to step down is indication enough that this happened because the situation is really that dire; you have to remember that Democrats are all about Doing Things By The Book, especially in the last 8-ish years when it's been useful for them to be Rule Followers in contrast to the tantrum-throwing chaos machines that Republicans have been. If there was even a sliver of hope for Biden to stay in the race after being chosen in the sad sham that the primaries were this election cycle, they would have kept pushing just to stay within the bounds of convention.
I was ready to push for Biden regardless, because keeping Republicans out of office is priority #1. But I've been saying for a while now that he needs to drop out (just... not on Tumblr, where the dominant conversation is "does voting for a flawed political pawn make you personally responsible for everything they ever do, or should we abstain and let the fascists hijack our government and kickstart several new genocides for the sake of personal moral purity" and I don't think that kind of nuance would be well-received).
I use my grandparents as a litmus test in a lot of this stuff, because they are very much the Typical Liberal Democrats, and their opinions on these things tend to fall in line with the majority of voting Democrats. They absolutely loved Biden in 2020, long before he was chosen as the candidate. They don't anymore. Seeing them lose any and all enthusiasm for voting for this corpse of a man was evidence enough to me that we needed someone else. Ideally someone people can get excited about, because I think folks have mostly lost the perspective we had in 2020 when Trump's nightmarish presidency was fresh in everyone's minds, and served as motivation enough to get to the fucking polls- regardless of who the Dem pick actually was.
From what I understand, Kamala is actually polling better than anyone else right now. I have my fears about voters' racism and misogyny too, but if she's doing well in the polls, I wonder if maybe there's some other factors counteracting that. She's also got name recognition, and the general impression of Being Qualified (because she's been VP already, like Biden was), and Being Likeable (because she comes with the general positive associations of the largely successful Biden presidency, without any baggage of perceived responsibility that Biden himself carries- like Biden did with Obama). She's been flying under the radar while still reaping the benefits of positive associations, and people know who she is. That feels like a good combination, but I don't know enough, and I haven't read enough into it to make any decently educated guesses.
That said, I don't really know as much about who the other potential candidates might be, either. I've heard Pete Buttigieg's name tossed around, but nobody liked his ass back in 2020 and idk if that's actually changed at all. I just know that every politically-knowledgeable/politically-active leftist whose opinion I've heard on the topic has been citing Biden dropping out as the literal only hope for a non-Republican to win this election, and I'm really fucking excited to see that come to fruition. I just hope the Dems pick someone who really does have a good shot.
As a sidenote, I also really hope this marks a shift in how they make decisions, too. It's become increasingly obvious how out-of-touch Democrats are with their voters, and Biden 2024 was just the latest and greatest indicator of exactly how bad that's gotten. The fact that the party has been able to make such an unconventional decision in response to what their voters actually want gives me a little bit of hope that we might be able to influence more change with them going forward than we have been.
#'unconventional' is a key word here too#democrats have built SO MUCH of their image in the last 8 years or so on Being Conventional#which is exactly what's been biting them in the ass so hard#when I say that this massive unconventional decision inspires hope I mean that it *being unconventional* is exactly what's so exciting#THIS IS A GOOD THING! BE EXCITED!!!

Introducing: PokéPollsters' Weekly Little Cup Polls!
I've been wanting to broaden the horizons of this blog for a little while now, and alongside my planned playthrough-by-post, I'd like to introduce this new series of polls beginning in the new year!
Running alongside our regular tournaments, we'll have one poll a week, asking a simple Pokémon related question. Usually a yes or no, or an either/or, or at most a handful of answers. Now we can find out the consensus on all your burning questions, like:
Do you prefer a 2d or 3d art style?
Is Pikachu a good mascot Pokémon?
Will the Generation 10 games include voice acting?
Or we can even help Professor Oak with the question he's never quite figured out:
Are you a boy, or a girl?
(Though that one may require some more nuanced answers, buddy!)
And best of all, since this blog is nothing without the followers, the submission box will be open for any questions you want an answer to!
Simply submit your question with a poll, making sure it's set to a week- as I'm still not certain how much I can edit submissions- and it'll be added to the queue! This is subject to my vetting, so keep in mind:
It must be a simple question, either yes or no, pick one or the other, or at most 11 options. (One space in the poll must be kept for a 'See Results' option!)
It must be Pokémon related, though it can be to do with any part of the franchise.
And nothing mean-spirited- we don't judge others for having different tastes in Pokémon, characters, games, or whatever else the question may be about.
Otherwise, be as creative as you like!
Polls will run from Sunday to Sunday, giving you all week to determine an outcome. The first poll will be up Sunday 5th January, and I'd like to do monthly round ups at the end of each month where I make note of that month's outcomes!
So I hope you're all excited for something new on here, and the submission box is waiting for you! In the meantime, please keep supporting and voting on the regular tournaments, your enthusiasm means everything to me. Thank you so much everyone!

Poll Time, Weebs
I'm nearing another little One Piece break (Water Seven is an incredible arc, but I'mma need to breathe because I get the feeling Enies Lobby is gonna wreck my shit), so let's see what I watch next.
If you're new here: We do anime polls to decide what I watch. That's the gist of it.
As always, propaganda* (*yapping) below the cut. You're allowed to reblog to yap in tags, bully your followers into voting, or insert third reason here. You do not have to know me, follow me, like me or know/like/have seen any of these shows to vote. "Because vibes" works for me.
Propaganda:
Free! - If we keep it in the poll, I get to quote 50% Off! even longer. You can vote for it and end this. But I'm nowhere close to running out of quotes.
Voltron: Legendary Defender - If you try to pedantic me, the Um, Actually board game says this is legally anime and if the pedantic nerd show says it's anime, then I can put it in a poll. Legally. Anyway, I can't remember specifically how much of this I watched, but I'd blink and there would be a new season, so I desperately fell behind and just never finished it. It enters into my polls when I'm willing to make that mistake.
Fairy Tail - Edolas arc and 24 Hour Road Race? 👀 This poll option covers Seasons 3 and 4 (ep 73-125) and Phoenix Princess.
Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective - They turned Gregory House into a cute anime girl, which is what he would have wanted. Since it's still airing, if this wins, we'll do another poll immediately for something longer to watch in the mean time, and my typical Notes App reaction will be delayed season 1 of this finished airing.
Handa-kun - Saiki K., but a normal guy.
I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time - I've only heard one person give their impressions of this show and it was "She sure will." Incredible. Uh, same poll-triggering disclaimer as Ameku.

Upcoming holiday sale!
Lovelies! December is fast approaching, which means that it's almost time for me to put a bunch of papercraft, zines, and other cool stuff I've made up for sale to round off the year! I always try to begin this sale within the first week of December, but this year the dates are a little tricky. So! A POLL!
Opening on the 1st means things will get mailed out earlier (yay!), but also means I won't have that extra week to make Even More Stuff (aw). Opening on the 7th, vice versa - there will be more things for sale, but they'll be mailed out later, running more risk of things arriving late, particularly if you're outside the US (since y'all know the mail gets wild around the holidays).
No vanilla extract option, alas - I'd like to open on a weekend rather than a weekday, to give all of you lovelies the best chance to snag your dream piece, so these are the two options for starting dates! (The sale will continue for the full month, though, so if you can't make it on the first day, not to worry - there will still be cool stuff up for sale. ;D)
SNEAK PEEK:

Thanks so much, lovelies!

As long as it's cool with you, I think I might make a which item poll blog but I'm struggling with coming up with a name. Suggestions? I did come up with pick-one-poll but I'm not sure
Pick-an-item-poll
Which-item-poll (idc if you reuse this one)
Imaginary-shop-poll
Items-galore-poll
Window-shop-poll (or window-shopping-poll)
Buy-an-item-poll
Uhhh that's all I can think of atm ahdhsfsc
Some tips I can give you, though:
- Avoid burnout by only posting ONE poll a day, or get some mods that actually post alongside you (make sure you trust them)
- It's a lot more effort than it looks. With other poll blogs, you just pick a picture and add options. That's it. But with this one, you actively need to seek out items, take pictures or screenshots of it, copy & paste the item titles, add links if it's an indie shop, etc. Not trying to discourage you at all, but just be prepared! It's a big commitment!
- Lastly, post items YOU want to. No one is paying you to run the blog. You're doing this for YOUR enjoyment. Have fun with it.
If you do end up making this blog, let me know on my main account @nekopuff! I'd love to give it a follow :D ❤️❤️

I'd like to plan a Good Omens meetup for Saturday October 19th, 2024. Poll below!
Edit: If you're looking for the Discord link, please message me!
We're currently looking at a hotel in Langhorne, PA that has a good bit of space. Just need to see about availability and cost.
For our immunocompromised and vulnerable fellow fans who plan to attend, we're going to include a masking policy in our event spaces and hallway/foyer outside those rooms. We'll have extras available.
All ages welcome; under 18 must attend with a guardian.
-
Start original message:
The Ineffable Society Meetup is a thought that's brewed in my brain since June 2023 when a bunch of local GO fans chanced to meet for the first time at the King of Prussia PA screening of series 2 episode 1 and 2.
It is time to stop brewing and let others contribute.
Here's my initial thoughts:
I'm willing to organize but not alone. We'll need to work together.
I live near Philadelphia, PA so this is the area I'm willing to do what needs doing primarily in Eastern PA, Central NJ, surrounding areas therein.
I'd want everyone attending to be 18 or older, please. I encourage those 17 and under to organize something together!
Taking suggestions for type of venues to host, think like a family reunion or larger.
I'm not interested in handling money, so would seek at least 2 people to oversee financials if that comes into play. (Finances might be needed to cover renting a space, any printed materials, little swag gifts.)
As mentioned, Saturday October 19th. Because it's close to the Earth's Birthday. :3
Afternoon through evening could be good. Maybe a 3 hour window on the small end; most of the day on the larger end. Will depend on location and on how many helpers step up.
Good Omens related fun: encouraging cosplay, script book readings, discussions, games, swaps. Maybe screening an episode together (there's copyright law to contend with here though). Depending on how much time we have together and space. Simplest plan would be an informal Good Omens afternoon mixer type.
If fewer than 12 people are interested:
We could just meetup at a restaurant that has a function room! (Not super ideal for allergies, as there's probably nowhere that's good for everyone. But does it in a pinch. And would probably not be a big up-front cost. Often there's a small room fee and then the assumption everyone will eat.)
If more than 12 up to 40 people are interested:
We might consider renting some conference rooms at a small hotel. (That does make it easier for people to find accommodations: already there! At a hotel! Downside is this will require chipping in.)
Any more than 40 people and uhhh... We'll figure it out.
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW FROM YOU
There will be more questions to follow, but most important one is below.
Please answer YES if you are:
A Good Omens fan
18 or older
In the Eastern PA to Central NJ area
Or are otherwise willing, able, and interested to go there
For transparency. A little about me:
I'm North (SeedsOfWinter). They/he.
Over the past two and a half decades, I've organized or been a member of organizations that planned meetups, game nights, reunions, and nerd events for friends and strangers alike.
I've been a Good Omens fan since June 2019. I run @rareomens. I am a mod for @ineffableeraszine and @bildadzine. I was a mod for the Our Side Zines, Pin Me Up 2, and many more. I was a founding admin for the LGBTQIA+ Fans of Good Omens groups.
I've been part of convention presentations for Good Omens at The Ineffable Con (virtual) and DragonCon (in-person, Atlanta GA). I love to organize fan photoshoots and meetups.
I know that any attempt at gathering people requires a team to make it happen; and that there's pitfalls and perils to all of it, especially when you're dealing with a bunch of possible strangers meeting for the first time! But the end result (you all getting a chance to connect together as fans) is feeling pretty worth it.

It's funny to me how you add a nuance or see results option in some polls and not in others, like what kind of criteria you use to decide that.
Like in the "do you know what the 'e' in Chucky e cheese means" like girl I don't even know what kind of cheese that is, how could I know what the e means??
Like i guess the answer would be no regardless, but still. maybe a add a "the what???" option or smth (?
the same thing's happened to me a few times already—like for the cheese here but also the candy and a few other things I'd never really seen or heard of before
(Sigh) I'm just running out of words to keep having to explain myself.

Closing thoughts on Magical Canan
So this is a cleaner version of an eroge, which I didn't know, and my guess is that the people who voted for it in the poll a while back didn't know either because I figure it wouldn't have won otherwise. And it's also an otaku show with a young-looking heroine and a hiragana title which also signals to me that you won't have a good time.
Let's get this out of the way first, unsurprisingly this show contains fanservice, though thankfully much less than I expected. And it's really old fashioned, I don't remember seeing stuff like the mascot stumbling into the girls' changing room and running around with underwear stuck to its ears lately. Also the henshin spends more time on the heroine's boobs than her dress. Still I thought it would be much worse and I'd say this was an actual story first and the fanservice was just a minor addition rather than the whole point.
Speaking of the story, this show actually had a plot, which was the second biggest surprise to me after the amount of fanservice. It's built out of pretty generic pieces, like bad guys from a magical world unleash monsters-of-the-week to the human world and a mascot recruits the heroine to fight them, and then there's a rival magical girl, and a mysterious transfer student, and secret origins and identities. And… it was actually pretty interesting? Like the show set up multiple situations where a character's identity was a mystery, and I was eager to learn more. Granted in the end I felt that several of the mysteries were left underdeveloped, and sometimes the show teased a more interesting option but went for the generic one anyway.
The cast also worked unexpectedly well. There weren't any real standouts, but overall a lot of the time I felt that the characters had an actual connection between each other and it wasn't just everyone going through the motions. I don't buy any of the romantic elements between the main girl and the mascot (who has a teen boy human form), but their friendship felt believable. The side cast also has stuff going on without the main girl and have unique relationships between each other.
So despite my doubts in the beginning this didn't turn out to be an awful mess. Still not sure if I'd recommend it because in the end it wasn't THAT special and the fanservice aspect is still noticeable. Transfer student for best character, even if she gets the stupidest outfit in the show.

"D&D consistently gets 70-80% of the vote when we run polls" so what you're saying is people actually want to do D&D then
This is a list of almost everything people asked for. I was simply pre-emptively deflecting accusations of splitting the vote to rig it for my obvious bias. By pointing out that they usually win anyway, so please don't complain. Though it turns out that Pathfinder votes skyrocketed once people saw what some looked like. That "70-80%," in truth, was more like 80+...but was also from before people saw what any of the competition looked like. Now who knows! Non-D&D skyrocketed, even though many voters are likely followers of followers and just clicking on the most familiar book. but since this time most of the books have a theme, people might not give a shit about the system. They might not want D&D, they might want dragons regardless of source. I know I'd click on giants regardless of source. I changed multiple factors, so honestly the data isn't really all that relevant. I could go on but ultimately it doesn't matter in the slightest. You couldn't pay me to do a poll with only D&D monsters as options, not that anyone's paying me to begin with. I'm sinking hundreds of hours into this because I want to. Hell I don't have to do these polls to begin with, I could just choose, nobody asked me to do them. I was even going to surprise everyone by doing the top 2 to be nice to D&D people. Which I still am, I do generally try my best to be nice. But I'm getting past the point of my life where I take shit.
And the proof that I typed up a message about multiple winners 2 days ago, because I've been put in a petty mood

9 out of 11* Buddie fanfic authors believe the 118 have a running bet on when Buck and Eddie will ~finally~ get together. I'd like to start a betting-pool-but-not-actually (AKA a Tumblr poll) for how the 118 learns about their relationship when they do get together but figured I'd crowdsource options before it goes live. A few I can think of: - Buck and Eddie tell them, unprompted, right away like normal people. - Buck and Eddie date secretly for awhile and then tell them, unprompted. - Buck and Eddie get caught kissing/PDA at work. - Buck and Eddie get caught on a date. - Buck and Eddie have a sex-related emergency and the 118 responds. - Chimney somehow finds out and tells everyone because he can't keep a secret. Please comment if there's any others you would like to see included. *don't ask me for my sources but you all know I'm right

We've gained a number of followers over the past months, and as we near the end of Communist Manifesto Daily's second run, I'd like everyone's input on what you'd like to see next from the blog.
I am not particularly well-read myself, so if these options turn out to be strange or lacking I may create a new poll with suggestions from the replies. If we'd like to read a new text, it may take me a while to format it. Thank you in advance for your patience.
