#dee s 9#in my sandbox i play it either as.#1.) bashir comes to cardassia to help out and stays in garaks like living room. and over months and years they get closer and closer#until they are basically platonically married in everything but name and dont realize it until julian tries to adopt a cardassian kid#and has to become a naturalized citizen in order to do so. and then they quickly realize their feelings for each other and get married then#or 2.) epistolary LDR betwixt cardassia and DS9 a few months postcanon#and bashir comes to cardassia both for humanitarian aid and to be with his bf#and they have a proper relationship and get enjoined at some point. to make it Official.#i do get the feeling that garak would be old fashioned like that. like god FORBID everyone knows that they're fucking#outside of the conjugal bed(/desk/kitchen table/couch/floor)#cardassians prewar about orphans outside of cardassia: fuck them kids#cardassians postwar about orphans on Prime: HOW DARE YOU PUT YOUR UNSCALY HANDS ON OUR PRECIOUS NATURAL RESOURCE.
