very late bc i had a busy week but belgium gp/mid-week news round-up:

glad for charles' pole, it's always good to see him do what he knows best but frustrated at the amount of lost positions. lots of work during the summer break for sure.

still, i think the gp went for the best only because i don't think anyone was happy. mclaren suffered quite a bit with lando down there, red bull clearly don't have the race pace to go 11-1 in three laps anymore and mercedes who were supposed to maximise their points streak in relation to the rest of the top 4 actually managed to lose a double podium and get a dsq. looking at it, really the team that should be the happiest is ferrari who somehow managed to get a podium they didn't really deserve lol

idk i think i had more respect for james vowles but then kinda realised he's not that special (although being a very methodical person and this being really helpful for williams in their rise) but the way he sold out sargent when he theoretically kept touting how much he believed him was nasty.

now, wheatley leaving red bull is a big blow. he's really in the known of the regs and that's how they caught so many teams slipping in the past (and how they frauded their way into a wdc in 21). he def deserved a slot as a team principal at some point, but there would be no way red bull would want to promote him when he's the best at what he does and horner is winning the arm wrestle atm.

wheatley + binotto at audi is smth to pay attention now. binotto's at a more engineering role apparently, so he's also in his element. let's wait and see!

oh girl idk what you should do 😭 hmm it depends on the life you want and if you can stomach what it will bring. the cheating won’t stop so if you can learn to live with it for the sake of your lifestyle, i understand if you stay. I watched Franck Montagny IG live after the race. He is a French « expert »/commentator for Canal + (who broadcasts F1 in France).

To be clear he really said that this was his own opinion and not a fact. As all those « experts » I guess we can take what he s us with a grain of salt and he says so himself when he does Ig live. He does have inside sources from Alpine tho (he gets told off a lot by top management because he is not nice to them sometimes !). Anyway.

He said that while Carlos is a great driver he is not made for Ferrari. He complains a lot (car, tifosi not liking him…) but that not a thing to do when you drive for a big team like that. He said that Carlos to perform needs a team that is a bit cuddling him. He needs to be seen as the number one driver, and a team that tells him he is great etc…

I get what he said because I think we saw that in 2022 in Ferrari so that could be something. This biggest example being Silverstone. everybody commented on how this race was a gift to boost confidence. It worked with me mis the car made a more midfield car again (not saying that this development is on Sainz I really think we got lost + TD killed us + RB understood their rocketship better as the season unfolded)

2021 for me is different because Ferrari was midfield. And it was his first year. Still pace wise, Charles really was outpacing him a lot both in race and quali. But the end result put Carlos in front and it was a great ego boost.

Franck then said he doesn’t see Carlos staying at Ferrari for long (not talking about ending a contract early of course) and that Carlos dad has a huge political impact. He sees him going to Audi (Sr being linked to them).

I don't know what's going on inside the team but yes it does kinda fit with what happened last season and what was said from the team about Carlos to the press. But idk.

Tbf they all need teams that support them, like we saw last season that while Charles might be able to make most cars work he won't be winning anything without enough support.

But I think that that might've also been one of the problems last season that Charles will be fine regardless because he is but he also isn't.

Who know what the next 2 seasons look like and what the market will look like by then but I wouldn't be too surprised if Carlos doesn't stay.

With Audi it depends on what they want. for 2025 He makes sense because that's pre their own engine and all that.

But after? If they want to win and that's what they say that they want then he might not be on the top top of their list. But again who knows who will be available and all that.

Started reading your fiction the other day (because like you I too gave been consumed by the silly little puppet man) and I just gotta say... 1, loving it. It pulls at my heartstrings in just the right way. However 2, I keep envisioning your Addisons looking like mine (that don't even have set names yet. I'm waiting on some polls)

I know the shouldn't look like mine (or not exactly. All of us are just interpreting the same 4 sprites anyway so like...) but like, rn I'm reading chapter 7 and I keep on seeing Audi looking like Cache/Survey (the two names being considered for my orange Addison). I know he shouldn't, however its driving me insane. So my question is, do you have any drawings or your Addisons? Maybe just some detailled descriptions? All I know is they have fur/fluff. The main thing with this is the clothing/hair. Cache/Survey has like, a bit more of a feminine look (even though they use all pronouns) and has a headband and wears like a vest like think over her dark shirt.

Idk. This is probably really silly but thought I'd ask. Anyways, back to reading.

I do sorta…It’s just vague outlines I did for body shapes and tid bits if they were humans but the body shape still applies to the ads, tho they would have the typical ad nose. In general I see both Audi and Banner as somewhat androgynous in physical appearance, style wise Banner dressing in a more neutral and academic way and neutral overall while Audi is more rustic/retro and experimental shifting between masc and femme (mostly masc tho). Surv dresses like ur typical gym bro and like casual dude, think jeans or sweats and a shirt that could be styled to meet as uniform requirements. Vidie looks more feminine physically and dresses up but it fluxes between something strictly masculine or feminine, very much street wear and Y2K stuff, with a bit of punk thrown in. Spam’s just casual kinda like Surv but with a hint of 90s flare. I never really think to describe their outfits cause I imagine they change day to day as I picture their uniforms aren’t their only outfits.

Hair and stuff I suppose it would be in the general shape of the ads hair/ head shapes in game. Banner has more curly hair, a weird mix of a bob and a curly/bouncy wolf cut, some how professional. Surv is tricky in that it’s course but shaped like in canon, I can’t really decide or describe how I see it but it fits. Vidie has a high pony tail and has wavier/thicker hair, blunt or wispy bangs when it’s not down/specifically styled. In that case she goes for curtains. Audi has corset hair he accessorizes with clips and beads and wraps or hats or whatever. Generally it just keeps its hair looking nice but it’s a day by day case. Spam has his signature weird pompadour mullet that he does very little with, it’s just naturally easy to keep neat. Thick hair but in a helmet way. Hair types usually match to the way their fur lays/feels on their body.

As for stuff on the ads as a species in general i guess the fur works in the way where the volume varies for ads but it never like super long just dense. It fades a bit around their hands which are just skin/palm textured. It also feels more staticy to lightener than soft but biologically it’s supposed to appeal to some cute/comfort thing in customers so they buy more (think seeing a fluffy dog ig). It sorta goes flat on their faces/necks or stop/stocks at the chest like chest hair to make a clear distinction of neck/face to body, hence hair vs fur. I do think they have tails but that part ain’t too important cause I don’t really write about their asses in this fic atleast and they aren’t made noticeable usually due to my ad’s cultural. They don’t have irises or the whites just pupils so they are very sensitive to sudden shifts in light.

Also don’t feel silly! I love hearing peoples interpretations of my ads, especially since it’s based around how I solely write their personalities. Even if it doesn’t match up it’s fun to hear! Also happy reading!!!
