The trend of extreme contouring (aka drag contour) as an everyday thing is something I never understood. Makeup should be about enhancing, playing with your beauty. If you're an artist, you should be creating art that inspires your own soul. This contouring trend I feel does the opposite. It teaches regular people with normal beautiful faces that "you are not good enough and you should look like this instead". That is not why I got into makeup. I know what it's like to have no self confidence and what makeup can do to help boost that. To enhance what you like the most and find a way you can love the things you might not be able to see the beauty in, yet. On the other side, I create art that inspires me and pushes me to try new things. I've never been one to follow trends, I'd rather be the one to try to set them. Or just push people to live their own authentic selves without caring about the opinions of others. We need to start remember that makeup shouldn't be this mask you wear everyday. But it should be a way to show the world who who you are or your artistic side. Whether you're a natural beauty or a rainbow kid or a makeup artist, just remember your face is perfect the way it is, now just have fun with your beauty💜 .
