This WIP Wednesday I bring you something I’m writing for the Zelink Community Opposites Attract Prompt Month. I’ve never actually played OOT or MM but I wanted to write OOT Zelink anyway so here we are.

He builds a house by the forest.

It’s almost an unconscious decision. After all, it will always be his home, even if he can reside within it no longer. Now, like so many others, it does not remember him.

She does not remember him either.

Oh, she remembers Link, the curious little boy who warned her of the threat Ganondorf posed, and validated the horrors in her dreams. She remembers the child dressed in green who told tales no one truly believed (except for perhaps her) and went off alone in search of a fairy no one could find.

But she does not know the broken, lonely man with a chest full of masks to fuel his nightmares and an aching heart. She does not know the Hero of Hyrule.

okay im gonna need someone to bully me into writing bc I have to get the next chapter of ODS written and published this month so I can get a head start on Whumptober. Even though I physically don’t think I can write something every single day, I need to get a few things out that month. Then I have to work on the Zelink Opposites Attract month prompts which I’m super into but like, I obviously am bad at kicking my own ass about it so I need to recruit someone to yell at me intermittently.

These prompts are double-sided. You can choose to do one side of a prompt, both sides, and however many you’d like. We encourage you to work on them ahead of time, but this is a low-pressure event with a week per prompt. (Psst; you can use these graphics as banners for your submissions! Please do not edit/alter them.)

Opposites Attract: A Zelink Prompt Month - GUIDELINES

The event:

Will run from Oct 31-Nov 27, with late submissions being accepted until Nov 30

There is one dual prompt per week; you can complete both sides of the prompt, or one side, and as many or as few as you want

You can submit art, writing, music, ANYTHING as long as it follows our submission guidelines below

Submissions:

You must mention our account ( @zelinkcommunity ) and tag your post with #zelink opposites attract in order to be reblogged

Your submission must follow one of the prompts and include Zelink or a variation thereof

Variations include Shink, Hylink, Dark Zelink, Fierce Deity Link, etc. (Hildavio does not count)

Reblogging is up to mod discretion, and if we feel that your submission doesn’t meet the criteria above, we reserve the right to not reblog your submission

You can also submit to our AO3 collection, our Discord server, and our Twitter hashtag #zelinkoppositesattract

NSFW:

We accept NSFW submissions as long as they are properly tagged/censored below the read more line (we may reblog your content and add our own NSFW tag if we deem it NSFW)

NSFW is anything that contains nudity and implications of/explicit sexual content, and extreme violence/gore

However, we reserve the right to not reblog NSFW submissions if we feel uncomfortable doing so (i.e. your submission contains extreme kink/fetish)

If you’re unsure if your submission counts as NSFW, message me @aurathian on Tumblr or on Discord and I will review your submission (but generally, if you have to ask, it probably is)
