We need to have semiconductors, we need to have chips, and we need to have flat panels -- we need to have these things made in America. We can't be reliant on Southeast Asia for all of the things that operate for us," Lutnick told Karl.

Pre-v3.1 Speculation Post
Putting my thoughts down to print before the next chapter hits (and before I see any spoilers now that the pre-install is live).
Fair warning: I think I have more to say in this one than I did in my last big theorypost round-up, but v3.0 gave me a lot to chew on.
The Amphoreus Simulation
Most people have caught on to this same idea so I won't dally here for too long. In summary: Amphoreus - the planet we're running around on right now - is really an advanced simulated reality of some kind.
That conclusion is sound enough (the nymphs dissolving into emoticons and the Black Tide would be enough justification for that) but there's still bigger questions to answer: who created it, what system can make something like this, how is a computer simulation eating up so much physical space in the universe, and why was it created? Perhaps more importantly: If the Amphoreus we're running around is a virtual simulation, where's our real bodies and what happened to the train car?
My best guess to answer some of those questions is rooted in Honkai Impact 3rd. Not the Flame-Chaser arc, actually (because I haven't caught up to that part of Part 1), but Part 2 is primarily concerned with an extraterrestrial quantum computer simulating a planet's history and I imagine this is a similar situation. I've talked before about how HI3P2 and HSR have been bouncing plot threads between each other for a while now, so it would make sense. (The Black Tide even resembles how the Sea of Quanta is presented in HI3P2, to boot.)
To rope time loop theory into this: It's likely that the intended purpose of the Amphoreus simulation (or at least, a function of it towards its purpose) is to continuously loop a period of history over and over again. How long a time period that loop covers is still an open question.
There's a couple corollary theories I want to prop up next to this one before I move onto anything else:
The Black Tide is data corruption
The main effect the Black Tide has repeatedly been stated to have is that anybody who gets near it "goes mad". If Amphoreus is a simulation, then this seems like an open-and-shut argument that the Black Tide is a force that is corroding the virtual world. Entities that come into contact with it have their data warped, causing what the virtual citizenry would describe as "insanity".
This could be an outside force trying to disrupt the simulation or a simple matter of system degradation over time. There's not enough to say now, but what I can say is that if this guess holds true, then the Black Tide was not part of the history of Amphoreus the simulation is recreating - it's a deviation from the historical record.
That actually might tie into our ultimate goal here on Amphoreus: restoring the memory of this place - its true memory - and bringing it back out into the wider universe.
Titans are system administrators within the Amphoreus Simulation
The Titans have presented a bit of a conundrum within the cosmology of HSR's universe, and likewise with the seeming absence of the Aeons on Amphoreus. The story's even made a point to mention how even Belobog knew about the Aeons despite their total isolation.
If the Amphoreus we see has simply been a simulated reality, then the Titans likely serve the role to maintain that reality from the inside, governing not only its people but its physics and basic functions. This would explain why the Titans are a phenomenon localized to Amphoreus, and why the Aeons are absent from the local mythology (the Aeons are universe-spanning entities - if the Amphoreans knew about them, they'd be much more inclined to try and explore beyond the bounds of their reality).
Some hasty hypotheses of their intended functions I could throw out:
Talaton, Titan of Laws, would govern basic system functions, what the system is capable of doing, and what rules entities within the simulation have to abide by.
Oronyx's abilities could operate as a kind of localized system rollback - maintaining a history of what's already happened in the simulation and restoring previous points in time based on that record.
Aquila has already been said to violently retaliate against Amphoreans that try to leave the surface - this is likely a self-defense mechanism of the system to keep its virtual citizens from realizing their true nature.
Titans like Phagousa or Georious would govern the physical shape of the simulated reality.
Titans like Cerces or Mnestia would influence the shape, nature, and interactions of Amphoreus' NPC population.
Titans like Nikador and Thanatos serve to provide limits to the system, or at least act as chaotic elements to keep things moving along - how long NPCs are allowed to live, stoking conflict to keep them busy with themselves, etc.
There's also the fact that the Titans' influence is what allows us to hold back the Black Tide and "cleanse" areas of the map, and that the absence of their Coreflames empowers the Black Tide's spread.
The Flame-Chase Journey is a system function
What we know of the Flame-Chase at present is that it allows citizens of Amphoreus to take the place of the Titans by claiming their authority for themselves.
If I'm right and the Titans are built-in features of the simulation, then this process of claiming Titan authority might be a feature built into the simulation to install new administrators to govern over it in the event of unexpected disaster.
This does beg the question of why Titans would be implemented the way they are - as in-simulation entities rather than, say, external moderators. I think the point is to have Amphoreus be a reality that can operate autonomously, without outside influence or input. This system also acts as a balance to the Titans' authority - if any of them try and usurp power over the system, the inhabitants can rise up and replace them. This also applies if any of the Titans begin to fail in their duties - see Nikador falling into madness.
...an autonomous system is also one that would keep working even if its creators were no longer around to maintain it. That's an idea I'll chew on later.
The Flame-Chase Journey is what perpetuates the Amphorean cycle
This is more of a corollary to the last point but I think it's likely that the cycling-out of Titans with new gods is what determines the start and end point of cycles through the simulation's loop through history.
"History" ends when the Titans are all dead, then (using the new Titans as a base) restarts the historical cycle. If this is an intentional part of the simulation and not just a failsafe, then these different iterations could be part of the ultimate purpose of the simulation.
The Flame-Reaver knows about the cycle, and is trying to end it
The Flame-Reaver is a new entity in the story we'll be meeting properly in v3.1, but my early guess just from prerelease materials about them:
They are the only (non-Titan) entity on Amphoreus that knows about the ongoing cycle, and is actively trying to stop it. Following from that last idea, they are principally seeking to upset the cycle by gathering the Coreflames for themselves. (Possibly the result of one person trying to lay claim to multiple Coreflames at once? An idea worth keeping in my back pocket, at least.)
The fact their ultimate attack involves them cloning themselves in a timeline-style row before visibly slashing the Amphoreus infinity symbol in half kind of speaks for itself.
Chrysos Heirs (as of v3.1)
We've been getting more information about the Heirs over the last couple weeks along with seeing more of them in teasers and trailers, so this is just a round-up of known information:
Tribios/Tribbie is the Demigod of Passage, and the first demigod in this Flame-Chase Journey.
Aglaea is the Demigod of Romance, and the Heir who restarted the Chase after a long lull in progress.
When we entered the Chase for ourselves, Passage and Romance were only two of the reclaimed Coreflames, with the other four being Trickery, Law, Earth, and Ocean. Cipher is confirmed to be a demigod and (given their associations with Bartholos) likely the Demigod of Trickery. I will speculate here that Cipher claimed their Coreflame after Aglaea did, though I wouldn't be too surprised to learn otherwise.
This leaves Ocean, Earth, and Law open, and I will speculate here that each of them was claimed after Tribios but before Aglaea. This only means the shadowy Heirs who have yet to appear in the story are their bearers. We have four of those, though, so it means of those four mysteries one of them never claimed a Coreflame for themselves. My prior speculation about which of them has what remains unchanged, though:
Hysilens (the violin-wielding Heir) is the Demigod of Ocean.
The unnamed armor-wearing Heir is the Demigod of Earth.
Cerydra (the draconic Heir) is the Demigod of Law.
My speculation with the known Heirs also remains unchanged: Strife to Mydei after Phainon fails his trial, Reason to Anaxagoras, Sky to Hyacine, Death to Castorice, Worldbearing to Phainon (in spirit if not factually). Time is an open question, though, and from the v3.1 trailer it seems as though Oronyx's Coreflame will be entering the fray already.
Curveball theory? One of the unnamed Heirs is the Flame-Reaver, using Oronyx's powers to upset the sequence of events. (This is not a serious theory. Yet.)
Aidonia
Aidonia is a region of Amphoreus that's been talked about in relation to Castorice, plus it was shown off along with the other regions in the v3.0 livestream, but as far as I'm aware it's been swallowed up by the Black Tide.
The disappearance of the Death Titan might have to do with Aidonia being swallowed up. At the very least, I'm sure we'll be visiting the city at some point in the future - possibly by using Oronyx's powers to travel back into the past before the Black Tide took it.
Amphoreus & Lotus-Eaters
A bit of mythological context: The Lotus-Eaters (or the lotophages) were a group of people in Greek mythology who idled their days away in the comforts of lotus trees, forgetting everything about who they were or where they came from in the process.
Something that bothered me playing through v3.0 is how...manufactured things felt. These are details that were brought up in the plot itself but: everybody on Amphoreus speaks the same language as us outlanders and everybody uses compatible technology despite being so culturally isolated.
It almost feels like it was designed to let people from outside come in and quickly acclimate. At the same time, though, it's very obvious that leaving Amphoreus is heavily safeguarded.
My supposition here is that whatever Amphoreus is, it needs new blood to come into it and is more than willing to let them in - it's only its isolated location in the universe that keeps it from sucking more people in. Perhaps the Amphoreus simulation is being maintained with the power of a Stellaron and (like how Penacony's Stellaron needed to drain human spirit to maintain the dreamworld) it needs living people to replenish its energy.
Or, to wrap all of that up: Amphoreus is a giant Lotus-Eater world, designed to envelop outsiders and make them forget where they came from so they stay ensnared within its simulated history forever.
Closing Ideas
Assorted ideas and thoughts that I don't need to give a lot of extra thought or analysis to:
The fact that Amphoreus acts like a grander-scale Simulated/Divergent Universe means The Herta is going to be playing a pivotal role in the plot later down the road.
Amphoreus is not going to tell us where March is from is how she wound up drifting in the ice, but her connection to the Remembrance is going to give us a solid grasp on what she is and what she's truly capable of.
Mem is Cyrene, and Cyrene is somehow deeply tied into the inner workings of the Amphoreus simulation. The fact that Mem seems to be gaining cognizance and more of their original self with each Coreflame recovered is notable.
The true nature of what's going on in Amphoreus isn't going to be revealed until at least v3.3, halfway through the story (and the length of a normal full-length arc). I will assume the Astral Express crew members won't be hitting the ground on Amphoreus until then, as well (if they ever do).

However, the real reason for this ask is to present a possible answer/theory in regards to how the doll-sized phones came to be in the world of your stories (you can tell this is still related to our chat on Wattpad).
Recently, I came across the images you're seeing on Pinterest. They're Wide/Aerial Views of the Institute of Perfection and one thing that immediately stood out to me is that Giant Eye-Catching Dome behind the TV.
I mean what's its purpose, why is it even there to begin with and what's inside of it? I've been thinking about this for a while and would like to hear your thoughts about it as well, if you're willing to share them.

By any chance, have you seen the movie Wreck-it Ralph? There was a part where the villain enters the code of the game he's in and I think the Dome's purpose could follow a similar, if not equal, vein.
Now that I think about it, Lou and Vanellope's circunstances are almost identical, trapped in the same place for years without the option to leave, simply because of who they are and the traits they were born with, but didn't choose to have.
Sorry, I let my mind run on tangent there for a while, it wanders frequently which makes it hard to keep track of my line of thought.
To circle back to the main topic of discussion, what if the Dome is a Central Station of the Institute, like a Panel or Center for Command Control (or Command Control Center)? CCC for short? Ok, I'll stop trying to be funny...

Perhaps it could be a subroutine of the factory's software, a program linked to its network and wifi that contains all guidelines and rules that govern the Institute and must be followed and executed to keep it functional - a blueprint if you will - and is in charge of all commands, protocols, activities and operations being compiled and run by its machinery, such as the doll-scanner, the robots, the washing machine, the recycling, the Gauntlet plus the mechanical baby and dog and the Portal, just to name a few.
This means that it'd also take care of overseeing the integrity and performance of said machinery as well as its maintenance. It'd even be responsible for generating clouds and the artificial weather because apparently weather is still a thing, even though the Institute is inside of a factory.
I wonder if this subroutine would be run by an AI or simply an intelligent system/computer program. This world's version of Siri? 🤣
Or maybe I'm greatly exaggerating its function/letting my imagination run wild and it literally only gives Electricity for TV and Institute. Where was I going with this? /were we again?
Morever, it could be a storage unit that contains all collected, analysed and reviewed data regarding the inhabitants of the Institute and their responses, physical or emotional, to certain pre-determined stimuli.
It could also have a list of the factory's Perfection Standards: what consists/constitutes a Perfect Doll / product, its traits...
what can go to the market and which flaws/imperfections can't be ignored/overlooked and have to go to the recycling immediately, kinda like separating fruit/food
To sum up, it's the Institute's "rulebook", but instead of being specifically made for the prototype, it's more expansive and focuses on the Institute as a whole.

After the events of the movie, dolls with engineer role job created phones with recicled parts dangerous/turned the recycling into a good thing/while recycling was turned of and parts are human sized, plenty to spare and create phone since dolls come back now, have free time to assemble the parts and construct them and connected them to the signals/frequency emitted by the dome or they hack/steal or find out the password/'hijack' the signals🤣, use it to make them connect with each other but can't enter the dome without proper authorizations/permissions

Okay, I had to do quite a bit of research and asked someone who knows a lot more about computers than I do.
So, I do agree that the dome has an electronic purpose. It really surprises me that STX animated an entire dome within the Institute and literally spoke nothing of it or what's inside of it. Like, seriously, it's huge and can't just be empty on the inside.
My theory, after some research, is that the inside of the dome is essentially a hard drive computer tower. For you younger folk who weren't raised in a 90's home, here's what I'm talking about:

These things right here used to be what would get hooked up to older Dell/Windows computers. The ones that weighed, like, 50 pounds and took up an entire desk.
Instead of a dvd player (which I didn't get one until maybe 8 years old) I would stick my Kidz Bop cd or movie into that slot at the top and watch the movie on the computer with Video Player.
Count your blessings.
But this is what I believe is inside that dome. These things are what holds the CPU (central processing unit), GPU (graphic processing unit), and stores the memory, data, audio, and everything of the computer.
@natalie-the-writer and I have a running fanon that the company is older. The technology is older, the building is older, and everything is set in a pretty retro time period. So, this hard drive tower is connected to those bulky take-up-all-the-space-on-the-desk-computers.
The GPU in this system is also what control the day/night cycle in the Institute and the weather. It essentially simulates a troposphere and an environment that makes the dolls comfortable and prepared for the Big World.
The CPU is how the data is transferred. Info from the robots is controlled and processed, the Individualization scanners are monitored, the portal is opened and closed, the TV runs, and the holographic tutorials Moxy and her friends see in the beginning are kept on, all of it.
It basically functions as the brain of the Institute, but the sole controller and monitor of it is the CEO (Greyson Everett).
I also like to think that Lou's microchip (another fanon thought between Natalie and I) is also monitored via this hard drive tower. Any information that Lou learns and processes is sent into separate files on the computers back in the company building.
This is why in my Shell-Shock series, when Lou's emotions go south, the Institute begins to get windy when he's hyperventilating or rains when he cries. The ground trembles when he has body tremors and the lights flicker when his powers are used. He is literally connected to the whole Institute because his microchip and its data accidentally grow and manifest themselves into the files of the other Institute functions. His programming basically goes rogue and infects the Institute system like a virus.
I'm veering toward the explanation that results in Lou being the first successful form of Artificial Intelligence. But, for the moment, he is basically acting like a virus and it's not until he learns to control this new system he's connected to that it stops becoming a deadly thing.

*taking a deep breath and sigh* Finally fixed most of the problems that occur to me over my transfer of operating systems to Ubuntu to Linux Mint.
Such as using Ventoy instead of using Etcher thanks to this question of the same problem I was having.
Or using the firefox profile manager to fix it after a linux mint update manage to fuck it up.
It was so worth it. I mean, it was so troublesome and a hassle to fix, but so worth it. ...But this is one of the personal reason perhaps the only personal reason I have for my gripe about Linux Mint: it should have come pre-install, which would have made everything so much more smoother.
Oh well. Probably in the future it will become a pre-install option for new computers.

Actually, I have more to say, because it really REALLY GETS MY GOAT.
I work as an IT Engineer. Five days a week, 8 hours a day I’m sat in front of a desk fixing things. OS, software, hardware, etc. The estate we manage (healthcare IT provider/MSP) is serviced on mostly Fujitsu desktop PCs and Dell laptops. Very very middle range. They are the most computers ever. Not underpowered in theory, but god. GOD . So much bloat and terrible optimisation everywhere means I get at least a few tickets a day of PCs bricking themselves over the most trivial things.
Teams starting at launch and immediately just idling in background? That’s one of your 8gb of ram gone.
Medical scheduling/patient record software that every part of the NHS from doctors to receptionists use? Bloat upon bloat, will happily chew up a solid 10-20% of the CPU load and a further 2 gigs of ram doing sweet fuck all. Ask anyone you know in the NHS about EMIS and SystmOne - they’ll tell you they are pigs.
I could go on about programs that are just horrendously optimised resource hogs, like how steam takes up around 600mb of RAM just idling in the background with no windows open for days but it’s all to the same end. But that’s not the only wwhinge I have today, sadly!
TEMP FILES. TEMP FUCKING FILES. No software in the last ten years, it seems, has been made by people with the time or braincells to actually make those files… temporary. Outlook still caches from the exchange for the whole lifespan of the mailboxes in your profile, by default. In 2023. It’s beyond baffling - our estate gets ~500mgb/s down on full fibre across the board. It’s not 1995 - you don’t need to fucking cache a decade of emails BY DEFAULT. These files get to dozens of gigabytes and can eat up basically the whole harddrive if left unchecked.

All this is to say, if you’re at all involved in IT as a hobbyist or as a job you are constantly marketed to, as with anything. Bigger hard drives! Faster CPUS! More VRAM! More cores !! More MORE MORE etc. but more to support what, exactly? To boot an operating system faster? Wouldn’t it boot faster if it didn’t come pre-bundled with fucking candy crush? Would it need as much just to sit idle without hundreds of megabytes of telemetry being broadcasted every session?
Every time I boot in to windows it’s like taking a manhole to the face, the amount of graceless over-designed and inefficient wankery in modern proprietary environments.
It’s really no different to the rest of consumer rot, we have more and more and more and more, and seemingly less and less clue what to do with any of it, aside from using it for its own sake so we don’t feel like it’s wasted.

Soldiers actually know where they're going to go after 5 weeks of training.Within 5week boot camp, there is a classification system in which you are assigned troops to stay until you are discharged. In 2nd week, troops with right to select trainee come to boot camp. Selection unit refers to unit that can select troops preferentially due to the nature of the unit's mission. They select trainees through interviews.
In 3rd 4th week, first classification is made for all soldiers, except for soldiers selected in 2nd week. With presence of parents (if they want), It shows the selection process on the computer. Enter any random number to block possibility of pre-operation. Why is classification process tricky? It's for transparency and fairness. The final unit will be decided in 5th week. Specialties are classified according to individual aptitude and school major. So it will be decided after 5 weeks of trainin
