@j-reau plotted starter
Given a choice, Rebekah would always choose New Orleans over Chicago. And for once, she had gotten that choice to follow her brother to the southern Mikaelson territory and make it her home, at least for a while. She doesn’t care why (though she suspects it was because their father had hoped they’d keep each other in check) just that she's here and far, far away from Mikael, his criminal empire’s main headquarters, and his expectations that suck all of the oxygen out of the air. Why he couldn’t have just let her live out her small town life like she had in high school with her Aunt Dahlia and the fake, safer surname ‘Montgomery’ is beyond her.
Right. She may be needed as a bargaining chip one day, a fact that Nik has annoyingly begun to accept and hold over her head.
Messy, temperamental, paranoid Nik.
It’s whose phone call she ignores as she tries to escape into the comfort of a book in one of the many grand work spaces scattered about the compound, with both of her heels crossed and placed up on the surface of the mahogany desk. Without the buzzing from her phone, it’s quiet. More quiet than usual. A minute after the vibrating stops, Rebekah’s eyes flicker to the ceiling when she hears a creak in the floorboards on the second level. There’s a long pause... then she hears a door being kicked in from somewhere else in the building. Almost instantaneously, she drops her book to the floor, stands, then opens the top drawer of the desk just as her own door opens without a warning. Rebekah’s head snaps up and her hand freezes over the gun stashed in the drawer... not because of the Kevlar vest or even the Glock pointed at her head, but because of the large, familiar blue eyes that snatch her breath from her lungs and make her skin run cold.

She couldn’t forget them even if she tried. Which, she had. “...JJ?”

Name Of Verse: Dahlia
Face Claim(s): Danielle Rose Russell
Description: What if Dahlia had gotten what she wanted. What if Hope was just like Freya? Spending most of her life being taught by a woman that just wanted the power
Status: Alternative Universe, Open to everyone ((Mutuals only))
Triggers: Kidnapping, Abuse, general triggers of TVD, Legacies, Originals
.•♫•♬• ALTERNATIVES •♬•♫•.
None yet but will add to it when alternatives become a thing
.•♫•♬• EXTRA •♬•♫•.
Hope triggers her werewolf curse much earlier, ten years old she went too far with magic one day when throwing a tantrum and someone that happened to be around at the time working around the home had happened to be the one to get the full out. Hope had started a real fire that Dahlia had to put out before dealing with the meltdown the child was having but not before she ended up killing a nice 30 year old.
Hope returns to the Mikaelson’s when she is 15 years old.
She spent a week not talking to anyone at all and hiding in her new room and would throw things if anyone came in, food had to be pushed with a stick into the room because if someone stepped food inside, they were likely to be thought of as something nothing better than food, which is what happened to the first worker that brought dinner to her.
Another week it was just Davina and Freya that had been allowed to enter the room and it had been Freya that had closed the gap there, bringing a book of spells to Hope for her to read and pushing it with the stick until Hope finally unwrapped herself from her blankets and started talking spells
She thought Dahlia loved her, she thought that Dahlia was the only family she had given that she was taken as an infant instead of much older like Freya. She often referred to Dahlia as her mother.
Nearly killed her whole family when they came to get her back because they weren’t seen as friends or kind people but the enemy thanks to Dahlia telling her that they were.

Gia
Tumblr media
Gia• 21 • Violinist • Vampire • Active
Gia was a vampire and a recurring character introduced in the second season premiere of the The Originals. She is described as a beautiful, soulful, edgy, rocker-girl who left home at an early age due to her rocky upbringing and who became involved in the New Orleans music scene. She joined Marcel Gerard's new vampire army and quickly became Elijah Mikaelson's protégée and new love interest.
Gia left home at an early age after her mother died and she was forced to live with who she referred to as her "jerk step-dad". While Joshua Rosza initially brought her in one of the groups of humans they were considering recruiting as potential new vampires because she looked "tough", it was actually her rocky upbringing and desire for a meaningful life and close-knit community that led to Marcel agreeing to turn her.
Gia first appeared in Rebirth, as part of a new group of potential vampire recruits that Josh presented to Marcel. Marcel spoke to them all about what being a vampire could do for them before compelling them to only remember his offer if they're strong enough and dedicated enough to accept his offer. Once they were sent home, Marcel admitted to Josh that he wasn't excited about any of the humans in this group, but Josh placed his bet on the "rocker girl" Gia ultimately coming through for them. That night, she later showed up at Marcel's loft after Marcel and Josh helped the Mikaelsons and Hayley Marshall take down the Guerrera werewolves. She was unaware of how she got there, and awkwardly admitted, "I just found myself here," proving to Marcel that she has the qualities he was looking for in the vampire community he was trying to rebuild.
In Alive and Kicking, Marcel brought Elijah to a street full of musicians and artists, where Gia was playing the violin and the bongos for the crowds. After the street had cleared of people, Gia nodded to Marcel in agreement before he snapped her neck in front of Elijah, revealing that he fed her his blood prior to their arrival so that he could turn her into his first new vampire following the massacre of his previous army at the hands of Mikael and the Guerreras. He informed Elijah that when Gia awoke in transition, she would need a mentor, and pointed out that he was hoping Elijah would do a better job with her than he did for Marcel when he was a child.
In Every Mother's Son, Gia was seen having completed her transition and was given a daylight ring that was presumably made by the witch Lenore. Marcel continued to try and convince Elijah to take Gia under his wing by having Gia take Elijah to see Lenore after he informed them he was looking for a "cooperative witch." Elijah seemed short with Gia and chastised her for wasting his time when she didn't immediately point out that Elijah had been walking in the wrong direction. He later asked Gia to use compulsion to acquire a python for the sacrificial spell he needed Lenore to cast, though Gia had not learned how to compel people yet, and Elijah didn't stop to explain it to her. As a result, Gia, not knowing what else to do, stole the snake herself. She later returned to Marcel's loft, where she admitted her frustration with Elijah and confessed that she was unsure of how to win him over to get him to join their new community. Marcel encouraged her to continue being herself and insisted that Elijah's fatal flaw was that he can't help but fix what is broken.
Gia was a beautiful, soulful, edgy, rocker-girl who left home at an early age due to her rocky upbringing and was drawn to the New Orleans music scene. She had been shown to be extremely loyal to her fellow vampires, who she saw as family, and was willing to fight for her loved ones to ensure their safety, as evidenced by her insistence on rescuing Elijah from Esther and risking death to save Marcel from the werewolf who was attacking him. However, she was known for her outspoken nature, and was not afraid to call out those who she believes were in the wrong, whether they were someone she respects like Marcel, or a relative stranger, even one in a position of authority, such as Josephine LaRue. Due to her being a new vampire, she had been shown to have difficulty resisting her hunger in intense situations, like the two instances where Finn cast a hunger spell on the vampires that made them ravenous. Even still, she had been working hard to maintain control and had shown remarkable improvement over time. Gia was also passionate about music, especially jazz music, and enjoyed playing the violin and the bongo drums in the New Orleans music scene.
She was killed by Elijah's half-brother, Klaus, partly as revenge for Elijah daggering him, for allowing Hayley to try to take Hope, and mainly to gain Dahlia's trust to take her down. Which caused Elijah to lose Klaus' trust and abandoned him.
Gia was a tall woman with long legs and a strong, athletic build overall. She appears to be of Indian or biracial heritage, with creamy brown skin, long dark brown hair that reaches past the bottom of her shoulder blades, and dark brown eyes. She had strong facial features, and was a very beautiful woman. She liked to wear "rocker chic" clothes which consisted of skinny jeans, combat boots, and some sort of top with a leather jacket over it. In terms of jewelry, she was always seen wearing her daylight ring on the middle finger of her left hand, along with several other rings, choker necklaces, and bracelets around her wrists. When the occasion calls for it, she has been seen wearing formal cocktail dresses with her hair in an updo.

Freya Mikaelson
Tumblr media
Freya Mikaelson • 31/1045+ • Tea store owner • Witch • Active
Freya Mikaelson (Elder Futhark: ᚠᚱᛖᛃᚨ ᛗᛁᚲᚨᛖᛚᛋᛟᚾ) is a powerful witch and also a main character on The Originals. Introduced as a recurring character in the second season, she is the firstborn child of Mikael and Esther, the elder sister of Finn, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik, the maternal older half-sister of Niklaus Mikaelson and the paternal aunt of Hope Mikaelson.
Freya was born in the late years of the 10th century to a Viking warrior named Mikael and his wife Esther. Her parents had met after her mother was captured during a Viking raid, and fell in love before marrying. Freya was their first born child. Her birth was a result of a deal her mother made with her aunt, Dahlia, who used magic to make the barren Esther able to have children of her own. She was, according to Esther, the apple of Mikael's eye. However, when she was five, Freya was taken by her aunt as part of Esther's deal when Esther was pregnant with Elijah and her life following that is a mystery. Esther claimed that she was the victim of a plague in order to cover up what she and Dahlia had done, which is what caused Mikael and Esther to move from Norway to a village in a "mystical land" far away in the New World, which was later called Mystic Falls.
They moved there under the advisement of Esther's dear friend and mentor, a witch named Ayana, who told them that the inhabitants were extremely healthy and had increased strength and speed. These villagers were later revealed to be werewolves. In the modern day, Freya was mentioned by Elijah, when he explained to Elena that his mother and father had seven children, and again by Rebekah, when she told Elena the story about how her family ended up in Mystic Falls. Rebekah explained that their parents had lost a child in Europe to the plague, and that later, Esther, Mikael, and Ayana moved to Mystic Falls, where Mikael and Esther eventually had the rest of their children, excluding Finn and Elijah, who were born in the Old World. It was also said that Freya's death is what made Mikael become so cruel and abusive, as she was his favorite child. In Wheel Inside the Wheel, it was revealed that Freya had not been killed by the plague, but was instead given to Dahlia as payment for reversing Esther's infertility and allowing her to have her children. The payment was stated that Esther was to give Dahlia Freya, the first born child of each of her children, and every subsequent first born child for as long as Esther's line will last. Dahlia used a spell to increase her power, while also binding Freya's power to Dahlia's. Freya lived under Dahlia for many years, ostensibly as a member of her coven, but in reality, Freya was more of a slave. Dahlia poisoned Freya's mind, telling her that her mother did not want her, and that Dahlia was all she had. When Dahlia learned that Esther had turned her children into the first vampires, and thus ended her bloodline, the weight of carrying on Dahlia's plans f
ell onto Freya, who swore that she would never fall in love, or have a child, in order to spare any child the fate of being Dahlia's. When Dahlia attempted to cast her pseudo-immortality spell on both of them, Freya at first resisted, only to have Dahlia force it on them. For centuries they existed, slumbering for a century while their aging arrested and their power magnified, to then live for a single year.
Esther told Mikael that Freya had died of the plague while he was off hunting, when in fact her aunt Dahlia took her as payment for performing a fertility spell using Dark Magic that would allow Esther to have children. Dahlia allowed Freya to live planning to use her to brand a new form of power which she would absorb from the powerful Freya, casting a spell on her that causes her to hibernate for a hundred years to preserve her youth and to only age for a year upon awakening which is also presumably what Dahlia has done to preserve herself as well. Freya escaped from under Dahlia's wing and fled from her powerful aunt.
Centuries later, desperate to find out more about her family, she traveled to New Orleans in 1914 where she attended a Christmas party thrown by her siblings. Attending as her brother, Kol's date, she was witness to Klaus's cruelty when he staked Kol in front of the entire party. Freya then puts herself in a glass coffin in the Dowager Fauline Cottage where she then repeated her hibernation cycle until present day December 31, 2012.
Entering a deep sleep that lasted a century, she awoke 100 years later where she discovered that her sister, Rebekah, had been imprisoned in the Asylum in the body of a young witch. Posing as an inmate, she witnessed Rebekah's confrontations with the Kindred and Cassie's betrayal. Using her magic, Freya saved Rebekah from the Kindred and broke the spell on the Asylum, freeing herself and Rebekah.
When Freya reunites with her brother Finn, he informs her of Hope's life, which inspires Freya (who wishes to take revenge against Dahlia for the deaths of her lover and son) so she can kill her as Dahlia would come for her niece, so she affiliates herself with her siblings. In the end of hard long magical struggle (resulting in the death of both her parents), Freya and her younger siblings finally managed to defeat Dahlia, with Freya's finally winning her younger brothers trusts (especially Niklaus), and moving into their house as Hope's caretaker and an official Mikaelson sibling.
After a few months of peace in the supernatural community in NOLA, troubles started again with the arrival of Lucien Castle, Klaus' first progeny, and his warnings of war between the sirelines, and so, Freya's enormous magical powers were needed again to protect her family from harm.
After the completion of the prophecy foretelling the downfall of her family, it seemed as though the entire family is going to die. She was poisoned, her brothers bitten by Marcel, and Rebekah hexed. Seeing no other choice in saving her family, Freya used Klaus as an anchor to a spell similar to the one Dahlia had cast on her to keep her breathing for a thousand years. Freya also created a Chambre de Chasse as she wanted her family to be together as they wait for Hayley to find cures for all of them.

Finn Mikaelson
Tumblr media
Finn Mikaelson • 30/1045+ • College Adviser • Original Vampire • Active
Finn Mikaelson (Elder Futhark: ᚠᛁᚾᚾ ᛗᛁᚲᚨᛖᛚᛋᛟᚾ) was a major recurring character on The Originals. He served as the primary antagonist for most of the second season. Finn also had a recurring role in the third season of The Vampire Diaries, where he served as a minor antagonist and anti-villain.
Finn is the second child and eldest son of Mikael and Esther. The young boy was born into a happy family, with his father and mother doting on him. He was very close to his older sister, Freya, with whom he used to climb trees when they were planning mischief. Esther used to call them Huginn and Muninn, after the pair of ravens who served as messengers for Odin in Norse mythology.
However, when Freya was five years old, their family's happiness was shattered when Dahlia, Esther's older sister, came to take Freya. This was part of the deal the two sisters had made when Esther asked Dahlia to make her fertible by using magic. In exchange, Esther had promised every first born of every generation until her line ended. When Esther tried to oppose her, Dahlia threatened to take every one of her children, including Finn and the unborn Elijah. Finn was traumatised by his aunt and by the loss of his sister. When Mikael returned from battle, Esther told him that Freya had died from the plague.
Determined to protect the rest of their children, Mikael and Esther, accompanied by Finn and Esther's witch friend, Ayana, left Europe for the Viking colonies in the New World and set up in the village that would one day become the town of Mystic Falls. Their neighbors were werewolves who accepted the new family and allowed them to live with them.
Eventually, Finn's brother, Elijah, was born and four more siblings joined the Mikaelson family: Niklaus, Kol, Rebekah and Henrik. However, despite the close bond of the new family, Finn was never close to his new siblings. He had never recovered from losing Freya or from the burden of the secret he shared with his mother. In addition, Freya's loss had hardened Mikael and he was never again the man or the father he had once been, despite Finn's hopes.
Once, when his younger half-brother Klaus didn't come to dinner, Esther questioned her children on his whereabouts. While Elijah refused to tell, Finn gladly told his mother of Klaus' location. When Esther talked with little Niklaus out in the woods Finn watched them and smiled. Sometime later, Finn retrieved a starling necklace Esther had given Klaus that he had lost. Esther made Klaus thank Finn.
When his brother Henrik was killed in an incident during the full moon after he and Klaus sneaked out to see the wolves, their father Mikael had Esther turned them into the first group of vampires (using The Immortality Spell) in order to prevent the tragedy from happening again.
However, the object that granted their immortality could also take it away, which was the ancient White Oak Tree. To prevent anyone from making a stake from the tree, the family burnt the tree to the ground. However, they would have other weaknesses including the flowers that grew at the base of the tree, a silver dagger dipped in the ashes of the tree that could neutralize them temporarily and they would always have a constant desire for human blood.
During one such feed, Klaus killed a human which triggered a werewolf curse he carried, revealing Esther had an affair with a werewolf. Enraged, Mikael killed his wife's lover and his family, triggering the war between their races that would last centuries.
Esther placed a curse on Klaus to prevent him from becoming a true hybrid, as that would make him invulnerable to what harms both vampires and werewolves. In revenge, Klaus attacked their mother, killing her for what he considered betrayal and blamed it on their father. After that, Finn, with his four younger siblings, left for Europe.
Finn was the first son and second child of Mikael and Esther. He was the younger brother of Freya, and the older brother of Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik. Finn was also the older half-brother of Klaus and the uncle of Hope and an unnamed nephew.
Out of all of his siblings, Finn had the closest relationship with his mother. It was shown in the third season of The Vampire Diaries that he was strictly loyal to his mother and believes that her intentions are the best, as he was willing to sacrifice himself to kill all his younger siblings. Finn's behavior and attitude were what his siblings dislike about him the most. However, he eventually rekindles a relationship with his former girlfriend, Sage and had a change of heart. That reunion was unfortunately short-lived, as he was killed by Matt Donovan in The Murder of One.
Finn was able to escape the destruction of the Other Side as seen at the end of the first season's finale. He was resurrected by his mother, Esther, and was placed into the body of a powerful witch named Vincent Griffith. Once again, Finn worked closely with his mother, and this time in an effort to get his younger siblings to take on mortal bodies. They all refused and were antagonized by him for the majority of the second season. In Sanctuary, Finn actually put a deadly curse on his brother Kol, which killed him a few episodes later in I Love You, Goodbye. He also sabotaged Klaus's efforts to bring peace between the vampires and the werewolves of New Orleans, by trapping both species in the The Abattoir, making the vampires go mad with hunger. He even tried to kill Hope, so that Dahlia wouldn't come to NOLA, almost killing Elijah in the process.
Finn later reunites with his long-lost sister, Freya, and worked with her in order to find a way to stop Dahlia from killing all of them. Klaus came close to killing him in his witch form after the two of them fought, but he was stopped by Elijah. Freya then appears to help rescue Finn from their younger brothers. Fearful for his life, Finn begs Freya to save him. Freya tells Finn that she won't let anyone hurt him and traps him in her talisman as a spirit in order to keep him safe. Finn remains in her talisman for over half a year, with Freya being able to summon his spirit and channel him in times of need.
In An Old Friend Calls, Finn was resurrected in his true form as an Original Vampire by Freya, as a way to mend the family's broken relationship. Finn then finally open up to Elijah, telling him that the reason he was against them from the beginning was that they left him daggered while they were unaware that his consciousness slowly returned, yet he was unable to move, and so he was forgotten by them. So, he was angry with them when he was un-daggered, and remained so. Finn and Elijah then work together to save Freya from Lucien Castle. However, Finn is shortly thereafter killed by Lucien who turned into the Beast. Ironically, this bonds the Mikaelson siblings as Finn makes up with most of his siblings in near-death. He then dies for the final time, surrounded by all of them.
