Are there certain Primes that Optimus see more as a parental/mentor figure?

mmhhh not parental per say, but some do take on more caretaking roles than others.

Prima especially takes to fussing over OP like a duck to water. he's a bit of a mother-hen by nature, but as the rest of his siblings are much closer to his age there was a limit to how much nagging they would take from him. but OP being so, so, so much younger than all of them and also very emotionally vulnerable when they met him activated Prima's caretaking instincts like a sleeper agent.

and OP appreciates this a little more than he thought he would. had it been at any other point of his life he probably would've resented the coddling but they met at a moment where OP needed that support. and Prima's enthusiasm for it made him feel a lot less guilty for leaning on him than he does with almost everyone else.

Alpha Trion doesn't fuss over OP nearly as much as Prima does, but he does have a soft spot for him that's a bit different than the rest of his siblings. and OP never completely gets rid of the awe he felt at meeting Alpha Trion back in that cave. so they're both closer to each other because of that experience, while having a degree of separation between them that doesn't exist with the rest of the Primes, which makes their relationship a little bit less sibling-ish than with everyone else.

then there's Zeta. i think he and OP have the most mentor/apprentice relationship out of all them, not because Zeta loves him any less but because he's so desperate to keep him alive that it manifests as him being kinda strict and a bit harsh towards Optimus. to be clear he's not cruel or cold with him! not at all! he's just the one that pushes OP the most towards bettering himself in every aspect possible, because he's terrified any slip up will lead to his death, just like it did with the rest of his siblings. which is perhaps not very fair of him but it comes from a place of genuine love and care.

and OP takes everything Zeta says to heart, be it guidance, criticism or praise. he wants to measure up to the legacy Zeta left behind as the first Matrix holder and is constantly worried he won't be worthy of the responsibility he was given, so he's always eager to learn more from him. it takes them quite a bit to reach a place where OP feels confident enough in himself to push against Zeta's input without feeling like he's about to irremediably fuck up.

but to be fair all the Primes are mentor figures to OP! every single one of them has something different to teach him (as much as it pains him to admit it when Liege is being a glitch) so they all fill in that spot in his life at some point of another.

So I said that in this Dadimus Prime AU post, Optimus is not Bee's biological sire... but what if he was?

So the story so far is that Optimus found Bee on the streets and adopted him. There wasn't any information about Bee's creators so he never tried to check it...

But what if he had them and never knew about it?

One day when the Autobots were fighting the 'cons, Blackarachnia (who was still with them at that time) kidnapped him and brought him to her own private lair that she found. She was lacking test subjects and the mini was right there, offered on a platter almost.

Bee woke up in the cave, tied up in web, after he's been injected with tranquilizing poison and threatened her. Arachnia didn't think any of it and found it amusing that this little mech has such a cocky blabbermouth. But then he said something unexpected, he started thretening her with his team and more interestingly, his sire.

"When my sire gets here, you're gonna regret ever seeing me!" Bee yelled, still trying to wriggle out of the sticky cocoon.

BA was growing annoyed of this but also intrigued. "And who is this sire of yours, huh?"

"Optimus!" That single name made her freeze up. "He's the best warrior ever and he's gonna kick your aft miles from here when he gets here!"

"...Optimus is your sire?" He voice was cold but there was something about it that sounded... broken. Bee never noticed and continued to threaten her. She just stood there, hearing but not listening to his words, At some point she turned to watch him.

His plating, his helm features, his optics... at some point she left somewhere. When she came back Bee was no longer there, he must've cut the web somehow and escaped. She didn't find him again.

Her processor couldn't stop thinking about it... It wasn't- it couldn't be... Could it? No, he didn't... he-...

She found herself going around the city at night, spying on whoever of the autobots she saw, but most importantly Optimus and Bee.

One time she swung by and managed to lure Optimus away from his patrol route. Of course, he was sceptical when she appeared and said she only wanted to talk- he tried to apologize and persuade her when they first met again but she rejected him... but, maybe she changed her mind?

It wasn't a long talk, they mostly explained their situations right now asked what the other did when they were apart- BA was quite shocked to learn Sentinel demoted Op from a high ranking Elite Guard to a repair bot.

They parted shortly after, Arachnia found herself recalling the memories of her previous life as Elita... She took less and less part in Decepticon activities but still server them as a medic, she met up with Optimus sometimes and began to open up a bit.

On one of their secret meetings, she asked about Bee. She told him that he threatened her with his sire coming over and chopping her in half with his axe. But then she brought up a shared memory of theirs... the party after one of their missions. They both got drunk and slept together.

Optimus couldn't help but blush remembering that, they weren't dating but there was definitely some chemistry going on between then back then. That was unexpected, but what was more unexpected was Blackarachnia telling him that something happened that night that she never told him.

She got sparked. She only found out a week after the party and didn't know what to do. She wasn't ready to be a parent, so she chose to give away the newspark. She went to the clinic that was supposed to keep it alive and put it in a new protoform once it matured and left it there without giving any information. Optimus was the sire.

She wasn't completely sure but when Bee mentioned him being his sire, the memory of that flooded back to her. Optimus just sat there in shock, trying to process.... could it be that the bitlet he found was actually his biological sparkling?

He wasn't sure what to do, he tried his best to not act odd around others and Bee... but he certainly didn't sit there doing nothing.

He dug up the old files Bee had in his folder. He knew the carequarters and the medical info, after a long search he dug deep enough and found the forging files and the minimal information provided from the clinic; Bee was given to them as a newspark in early growth stage, the donor was unknown. He only saw a mention of a femme in the document.

He thought about what should he do about it...

One day, he came to Bee's room to talk. It was like the usual, he asked about stuff, things he did recently... then he changed the tone of the conversation.

"Say... how would you feel if I said that I might be your biological sire?" He asked unsure. Bee paused whatever he was doing and looked at him, smile falling into a more serious expression. "But- i'm from carequarters?"

"Back when I was still an Elite Guard, I knew a femme named Elita." Bee knew about her, Optimus told him stories about her more than once. "But I thought you said she died?"

"Well, it wasn't entirely the case. At least, I learned so recently."

Bee listened carefully as his sire spoke. "One time we were celebrating after a successful mission, we both got drunk and... well, apparently she got sparked and never told me."

"She wasn't ready to be a parent so she gave away the newspark... Then the mission on Archa-7 happened and we thought she was dead." He spoke with saddened fondness, remembering both the intoxicated night and the mission at once. "Then a couple days after I returned to Cybertron, I met you... I aways thought there was something familiar about you that I couldn't quite place."

Silence filled the room, both mechs thinking about the situation. Bee spoke up after a while, in an unsure but soft voice. "So, you're my... real creator?"

"Maybe, we'll have to do a test to know for sure... only if you want to of cou-" He was cut off with Bee holding onto his arm, the look of desperation to know in his eyes. "I wanna know." Bee always wanted to know if he had any biological family, if his adoptive sire was in fact his creator then he needed to know.

As soon as Ratchet got back to base they both went and asked him to make the code comparison, he sure was confused as to why they would do want to do it right now while also knowing Bee is adopted.

Optimus only told him they learned some new information and to just do it. The results took a few hours to process but once they got them... 87.9% match.

The old docbot left them be to talk about the new discovery, as soon as Optimus sat down on one of the berths Bee climbed on and hugged him.

Blackarachnia in the meantime was sitting restless in her lair. Optimus hasn't spoken to her yet, she didn't know if anything she hoped- she thought could be true was in fact true... Growing tired of waiting she decided to find out.

She still had a vial of internal fluid from when she kidnapped Bee, she took it from his life lines to see if he could be a good match for the experiments... She never used it and now was the time to do so. She got her own fluid and ran tests...

65.8% match. It should've been higher but considering what fate she endured after giving up the newspark it still was much higher than if it wasn't matching. She leaned against her desk heavy, there was no point in denying it...

Optimus found her days later, he told her about the test and so did she. Bee was theirs.

Speaking of Bee, the scout wanted to know about his carrier more- what was she like? If she survived then where was she? Could he meet her? All those questions that Optimus tried his best to avoid, he only told him that now wasn't the time and it was complicated.

Until one day. Optimus has taken Bee on a ride late in the afternoon. He drove them to a ruin in the forest, Bee took a defensive stand the moment he saw Blackarachnia step out from behind the walls. To his shock Optimus told him to calm down, Bee tried to get some sense to him cuz hello? Enemy in sight and right in front of them!

His only reaction was to kneel down to his optic level and slowly explain... Elita survived but wasn't herself anymore, and that she was right here... She was Blackarachnia.

Bee was silent for the longest time, shock painted on his faceplate as he stared at his sire. "No."

"No, no no.. No! You can't be serious!" A disbelieving smile appearing as he denied. Optimus tried to speak but he got cut of with a yell. "Her?! She tried to kill us! She's evil!"

Optimus couldn't calm him, Arachnia tried- "YOU SHUT UP! YOU'RE NOT MY PARENT! YOU ABANDONED ME!!"

Optimus desperately tried to calm him, to make him stay when he turned to leave.

"Bee, please wait-" "I'm not gonna wait!... You're both crazy!!" And with that he drove off as fast as he could. Optimus tried to stop him but Arachnia stopped him.

"He's right.. I'm not his parent." She left too, Optimus was left all alone to wallow in his sorrow... How could he fail so bad. All he wanted was to bring the lost family together... Instead, he ruined the relationships with both Elita and Bee.

Bee returned to base, but he didn't go to his room, Optimus would look for him there. He sat on the roof on the far end of base, away from all the holes or windows that could let any sounds into anyone's audials... or so he thought. Prowl caught him crying up there, he tried to comfort him and asked what's wrong. Bee told him about Optimus being his real creator. "That's good news, isn't it?" Yeah... The same can't be said about my carrier though." Prowl was confused, he knew Bee was adopted and thought that him finding his real creators would make him happy. But then Bee told him about Elita... or rather Blackarachnia.

"-and apparently they decided to get back together and expect all of us to be one big happy family. Tch- that crazy bitch tried to kill me more than once!" Bee ranted, he needed to let this out, to share with someone. He didn't know what to do...

As shocking as this may have been, Prowl took it quite well and told him it was perfectly okay to not want to be involved. However if Blackarachnia really was trying to fix her mistakes then it would be fair to give her at least one chance to do so. They sat there till late night, Bee didn't know if his sire came back home nor did he care. Prowl told his to consider his words before they parted for recharge.

Days passed and the atmosphere around base seemed to be heavy. Bee wasn't talking with his sire and it was clear something was up between them. None of them knew what though... All this time Bee tried to get all the things in his helm in order; Optimus was his real sire. Elita- who was now Blackarachnia was his carrier. Blackarachnia abandoned him and tried to kill him later... but, she was trying to fix it now. Was she?

It was so confusing. He felt guilty for screaming at his sire too, Optimus only wanted them to be a family.... Aaagh, it was a mess! He thought about what Prowl told him.... He sighed, for once, he would pocket his pride and follow the advice given.

After many silent days he knocked on his sire's door and went in for a talk. He apologized, offered to give the idea a try-but he wasn't gonna be all nice to BA like nothing bad happened between them in an instant.

Honestly, Optimus was just happy that Bee wanted to talk with him again. He agreed and told him he'll tell her when he finds her- which was easier said than done. After what happened it was like she disappeared completely. Optimus knew she couldn't have left earth and a tiny bit in the back of his processor feared the worst... but at last he found her near the lake one night. Of course, she wasn't really happy to see him. She almost didn't believe him when he told her the news from Bee. She didn't think she deserved a second chance... but she wasn't gonna reject it.

Optimus organized for them to go on a picnic together. It was rather awkward but they managed. They told their sides of the story, Arachnia blamed herself for letting her bitty suffer like this, the others were surprised to learn that the femme quit following Decepticon orders, only helping injured soldiers if they went thru trouble to find her.

They went on those picnics once a week, each time getting easier to talk and simply have fun. Although they haven't expected Arachnia to show up at their base once day and try to bond with the rest of the team. Yeah, it was a long talk explaining what happened. Of course, all of them were protective of Bee and didn't trust BA a single bit. It took a while for them to accept and adjust to the situation but they still weren't that fond of her.

Then, the worst happened. Elite Guard visited as the 'cons began to get rowdy and things got rather heated when they talked. One evening Sentinel decided to take it out on Bee and scolded him for being so useless- even going as far as reminding him he was adopted when Bee referred to Optimus as his creator... to which Optimus protested. He told him the truth, he was his creator. And when Sentinel demanded to know who was the carrier- "I am." Blackarachnia stepped out of the hiding.

They argued, Sentinel keeping his lance pointed to attack her. "You don't know who I am, do you?" She stated. "You're-!" "Elite One Prime."

Those thretening words froze him in place, disbelieving. She told him him she survived and that he was a worthless excuse of a friend. She threatened him to never come back or else he'll be dead in the doorstep. He never appeared in base again, only send Jazz to run errands for him if needed and talked with Optimus outside when it was necessary.

Blackarachnia was slowly but surely redeeming herself and undoing the bitter character she made for herself.

One time Team Prime was in a very rough fight with the 'cons on the abandoned factory grounds outside detroit, Arachnia joined to help them. Both teams were trying to off one another and the Allspark shard was wrecking havoc on top of that. It decame dangerous, they had to run. All did, except Blackarachnia. She stayed behind to help Bee cuz he got stuck. She protected him as the energy exploded and the ruin and nearby area collapsed.

All came together to help, they dug Bee and few others out of the rubble but there was no sight of BA. Optimus began panicking as the search didn't seem to bring fruition, then they heard something pushing, banging. Trying to dig out- the giant portion of rubble broke and revealed a small chamber that formed when the building collapsed- but more importantly someone falling out of it.

She was so sore, her frame felt so weird... She felt something crawl up her intake and coughed out the remaining of the green fluid that was spider venom. She wiped her intake with ther servo- wait, servo..? "What..?"

It was yellow. Like the other one- and the rest of her. She pushed herself up to sit, looking over herself... she was normal. Not a spider. "How..?"

Optimus came closer, soft gaze looking over the frame of his past companion. "Elita..."

She felt herself cracking, tears slipping down involuntarily. Optimus knelt down and hugged her, letting her cry her spark out...

"...Mom?" Elita looked up, Bee- her sparkling, was standing in front of them, holding the same worry in his optics as Optimus. Elita reached out only to pull her servo back in shame. But Bee rushed forward and hugged her too.

The three sat there, comforting one another in a shared embrace. The others decided to distance themselves to let them have some privacy.

Now, they could really be a happy family. Just like Bee once wanted.

I am 50/50 whether or not to make this canon, but it's a fun alternate ending per se to this thing.

Doflamingo as a babysitter/parent is so funny because he is an evil insane crazy villain man BUT he is ALSO canonically VERY good at the TECHNICAL aspects of childcare. He WILL encourage Luffy to kill people but he WILL also make sure he eats his vegetables and is asleep by 9 on the dot and has had a bath.

You know if Dragon and Croc (in ANY crocdad canon) knew about Dellinger it would drive them crazy!!! Thats like the one piece equivalent of being an instagram parent with a spotless house and straight A kids and homebaked bread and designer nails and—

He had a BABY on his SHIP during BATTLES and the kid didn’t come out with a SINGLE scratch!!! Dellinger wasn’t even a secret!!!! Every dangerous pirate and gang Doffy dealt with for 16 years knew he had a little baby nephew and the kid has been seemingly FINE this entire time!!! Yes he’s CRAZY and EVIL but so is Doflamingo!!!!!!!

(The idea of Instagram parent Doflamingo delights me!)

In the one universe where he is babysitting Luffy he's not an insane crazy villain since he was most likely picked up by the marine together with Rosinante (it's potentially the same universe as this comic). The kid clearly has issues that growing up with marines is definitely not going to fix and he does abandon his marine career in favor of becoming a pirate and underworld crime lord. So he could still encourage Luffy to kill (but honestly, Crocodile might encourage that too. He'd much rather have a child that will know how to kill than a dead child.) But definitely, out of anyone he'd probably be the best at actually meeting Luffy's needs as a child and enforcing child appropriate rules (eating veggies, taking baths, bed time.)

And yes! Dragon and Crocodile did so much in order to conceal that they had a child, fearful of him being killed for the sins of his fathers or Luffy being abducted/ used against them. It would probably be especially bitter in an universe where they abandoned Luffy for his own good. It's frustrating to see that Doflamingo could do it so effortlessly but Doflamingo has the benefit that he trusts his crew. He's not just one man with a kid against the world. Crocodile doesn't trust anyone. And Dragon of course doesn't even have the protection that being a warlord grants Crocodile. But I think Crocodile would be livid if he ever found out that Dragon took in a child to be raised on their secret head quarters. Why a random child, why not their child?

Springer is Prowls kid, and Prowls is TRYING HIS FUCKING BEST. In this au he's not a massive asshole, so yaaaay! He's a single parent (considering Tarantulas is UNFIT aka too crazy) and He tries his best. He overworks (because he thinks he needs to be able to take care of him all by himself) and uhhhh ends up crashing because Springer has Robot Colic and cries constantly so Prowls getting no sleep. After multiple days of not seeing or hearing from him, Jazz breaks into his hab to find him collapsed on the floor. Springer (THANKFULLY) is ok, he's hungry but ok! After that Prowl is forcibly made to accept help from someone he trusts, and thats the story of how Springer gets the coolest uncle ever (Its Jazz) Springer is a voracious baby who's clearly very enthusiastic about eating.

Ravage is just a good older sister. Laserbeak was a pissy fucking baby though. Beans in this AU need to be Kneaded like bread dough, it helps encourage growth and keept them from getting aches and pains. All beans love being kneaded. A detail I feel is NOT talked about enough in the BOCW fandom it's about a specific detail of Perseus

The game presents us like he was one of the Soviet spies in the Manhattan Project BUT

while the codename Perseus (and others like Mlad, Pers, Youngster, FOGEL and Mr. X) indeed was used, it wasn't the codename of a person, but of a character.

Perseus was made to protect one of their spies, Theodore Hall (who was the youngest scientist of the Manhattan Project, being only 18 years old), and probably others as well.

Chikov admitted openly in 1996 that he and other KGB officers he worked with had combined Mlad and another spy code-named “Pers” into a single spy, Perseus. “The main goal was to make the story unclear, so when the intelligence of other countries began to analyze this, it would not reveal the forms and methods of the work of Soviet intelligence”

The real life one was just a character made by the Soviets to spread misinformation and protect their Manhattan Project spies while the BOCW one is a whole spy network/an ideal like Viktor "Stitch" Kuzmin says in the Season 6 Outro

I really feel it should be talked about more often like Bell with Pavlov dogs experiment or Adler with Alfred Adler and that whole superiority/inferiority complex to be honest.

In Antarctica's vast, frozen expanse, where researchers braved the harshest conditions, Bucky, a former military man seeking solitude in the icy isolation, served as the stern yet vigilant security presence.

One frosty day, Bucky diligently checked the storage temperatures, surrounded by the frigid air that mirrored the chill in his own heart. 

As he focused on his task, he was approached by Chef Jack, who had recently returned from the mainland to visit his grandchildren.

Bundled in layers against the biting cold, Chef Jack grinned at Bucky. "You're a charming man, Bucky. Why are you still single? The female scientists who work here have been flirting with you.”

Bucky, his breath visible in the freezing air, chuckled softly. "I just haven't found the one."

Chef Jack, his eyes reflecting the wisdom of age, patted Bucky on the shoulder. "I see. Still can't forget the former? I understand."

Bucky's gaze dropped to the snowy ground and fell into a heavy silence. He nodded subtly, not wanting to delve into the painful memories beneath the icy surface of his stoic demeanor.

In a sudden turn of events, Bucky received an emergency alert: "We need backup."

Without hesitation, he swiftly responded over the radio, "On my way," and rushed towards his waiting car.

Emergencies were a rare occurrence in this remote location, and deaths resulting from foul play were even more uncommon. 

Upon arrival at the scene, Bucky was met with a chilling sight – two in orange swimming suits, eerily floating in the icy waters. 

Drowning was the cause, an unusual and unsettling occurrence in this frozen realm. The onlooking tourists, shaken and fearful, murmured amongst themselves.

The atmosphere was tense as one tourist anxiously mentioned, "They have a kid, right? Where is their son?"

Bucky, now profoundly concerned, hadn't even seen the faces of the victims yet. His focus shifted to the potential tragedy of a child being left alone in such extreme conditions. 

Ignoring the bitter cold, he resolved to search for any sign of the missing child, determined to navigate through the frigid wilderness in a race against time.

Bucky, determined to find the missing child, declared, "I'm going to find their kid."

Meanwhile, young Ethan, feeling out of place in the freezing Antarctic surroundings, had been running away from the group. He voiced his displeasure about being on the tour, unable to comprehend why his parents insisted on such a cold adventure.

"Why did Mom and Dad want to come here? And who was that scary man looking at me?”

As Ethan blew on his cold hands, a sudden shadow engulfed him, casting a momentary relief from the harsh Antarctic winds. 

Looking up, he found himself face to face with a tall man, his piercing blue eyes reflecting genuine concern.

"Hey buddy. My name is Bucky. I'm here to get you safe," Bucky reassured him.

Still shivering from the cold and the frightful encounter, Ethan stammered, "Sa-save me."

Sensing the depth of the child's fear, Bucky draped a warm blanket over him and gently scooped him into his protective arms. Ethan, seeking comfort, curled up against Bucky, his small frame shivering against the chill.

"I want my grandma," Ethan mumbled, his voice barely audible over the Antarctic wind.

With a reassuring tone, Bucky responded, "You will, buddy," holding the frightened child close.

Bucky, carrying the shivering Ethan to his car, couldn't escape the grim reality as he passed the body bag containing the deceased. 

In an impulse, he took a brief, painful glance before it closed – a glimpse that nearly brought him to his knees. The face inside, now concealed, triggered a rush of memories from his past, a haunting connection he hadn't expected.

Iris Aston. His first love. 

The weight of the revelation hit Bucky hard, but he refocused on the scared child in his arms. The realization struck him – Ethan was Iris's son. 

As he gently placed the child on the office couch, Bucky's mind raced, processing the unexpected intersection of his past and the present.

Bucky tried to steady himself by pouring a cup of hot chocolate for Ethan. "What's your name, buddy?" he asked, his voice revealing the underlying shock.

"Ethan Van Alen," came the soft reply, intensifying Bucky's internal turmoil. After separating from Iris, he had heard about her marrying into an old-money family – the Van Alens.

Bucky, grappling with the revelation, inquired about Ethan's aunt, hoping for some grounding in this unexpected twist. "Is your grandma here too?"

Ethan shook his head, his eyes reflecting fear and uncertainty. "No, she's not.”

"I'm sure she will come here as soon as possible," he assured.

As Bucky received a call from his concerned colleagues requesting assistance, Ethan, overcome with fear, clung desperately to Bucky's leg. "No. Don't leave me," he pleaded, his small frame trembling with anxiety.

Bucky's colleagues, now understanding the gravity of the situation, exchanged somber glances. The shocking reality dawned on Bucky as he realized that the couple who had tragically perished was none other than Ethan's parents.

Sensitive to the child's distress, Bucky, without hesitation, scooped Ethan into his arms, providing the solace the orphaned boy desperately sought. Now cradled in the safety of Bucky's strong arms, Ethan felt a sense of reassurance that had eluded him before.

Bucky entered the empty storage room where Iris's lifeless body was being kept. As he gazed upon her, memories flooded back – of a time when they were inseparable, studying together at the military academy. 

Their connection ran deep, but Iris had abruptly left, and her icy rejection had marked the last encounter.

He could still hear her words, cutting through him like a bitter wind, "Who do you think you are? Don't touch me!" A painful reminder of the social gap between them, a gap that fate had widened.

Looking down at Iris now, her once bright smile extinguished, Bucky couldn't shake the heartbreak that lingered from their past.

His colleagues reported no visible signs of trauma on Iris's body, adding a layer of mystery to her sudden demise. Seeking answers, Bucky turned to the only witness – young Ethan.

Ethan joined the conversation, his voice shaky but determined. "After my dad and mom drank something, they walked funny and fell into the water. And... and..."

Bucky, offering a reassuring presence, prompted, "What happened next, Ethan?”

The boy hesitated before continuing, "A scary man looked at me and walked towards me. That's why I ran." 

Bucky's colleagues updated him, saying, "The tour guide has called the family. They already sent someone."

Still in Bucky's comforting presence, Ethan inquired with hope, “Grandma is coming?"

Bucky gently patted the kid on the back, assuring him, "Yes."

Finding solace in the knowledge that his grandma was on the way, Ethan felt a wave of relief wash over him. 

Bucky thought, never underestimate the power of money, expecting the relatives to arrive by ship. However, a large plane unexpectedly landed. Bucky, still carrying Ethan, and others anxiously awaited the arrival of the guests.

As the plane's door opened, Bucky, from a distance, couldn't discern who was stepping out. Restlessness overcame Ethan, and he wanted to get down. "Grandma," he exclaimed when he saw a familiar figure.

But Ethan abruptly halted in his tracks. The unexpected figure approaching him wasn't his grandma but his aunt. A surge of fear gripped him. He had always been scared of her.

Bucky, equally taken aback, felt a shockwave of disbelief. He had witnessed her lifeless form in the cold storage room, and now she stood before him – alive, breathing. 

How come Iris came back to live?

Is he seeing a ghost? Or a zombie?

Unable to conceal his astonishment, he stammered, "Iris?”

Ethan suddenly chimed in, "That's my mother's name. This person is my aunt. Her name is Y/N.”

Y/N's reply was devoid of emotion as she spoke in a cold, matter-of-fact tone, "I'm her twin sister." 

Twin sister? Iris has a twin sister? She never mentioned this to him. Bucky was shocked by this revelation

Y/N's demeanor showed no signs of sadness or grief. "I'm here to collect their bodies and bring Ethan back home."

Offering his condolences, Bucky expressed, "My name is Bucky. I'm sorry for what happened to your sister. It sounds crazy, but I knew your sister from the military academy."

Y/N's response was detached, "I see. Could you show my assistant which documents to sign so we could leave?" 

Her request held no trace of emotion, contrasting sharply with the heartfelt sentiments Bucky had just conveyed.

Taken aback by the stark difference between Y/N and Iris, Bucky found himself grappling with the realization that, despite their identical faces, their personalities were worlds apart. 

As the simple yet somber process unfolded, the body bags were carefully loaded onto the plane. Before departing, Ethan looked at Bucky, a silent exchange containing layers of unspoken emotions. 

Ethan glanced at Bucky, hope flickering in his eyes; he asked, "Can brother come with us?"

Y/N, who was busy with her phone, responded, "If he wants too."

Struggling to fully comprehend the stark differences between Y/N and Iris, Bucky leaned down to Ethan and softly said, "I hope we meet again someday." 

The words hung in the air, a wistful expression of the unexpected bond formed amidst the cold Antarctic challenges.

Absorbing the sentiment, Ethan offered a slow nod, the weight of recent events etched across his young face. 

Y/N didn't spare Bucky a glance as she entered the plane, her demeanor as cold as the Antarctic winds. 

Today, Bucky encountering his first love only to find her lifeless, meeting her son, and discovering the existence of her twin sister.

Despite Y/N's demeanor, icy as the landscape around them, Bucky couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity. It wasn't just the shared face with Iris; there was an unspoken connection, an elusive something more that lingered in the air. 

Bucky had a bunch of questions swirling in his head. He couldn't determine why Iris never told him about her twin sister. Even though he wanted answers, he hesitated to ask.

He wished he could talk more to Y/N.

The Van Alen and Aston household seemed full of secrets. The news about the company heir's death hit the headlines, and it got crazier when someone tried to kidnap Ethan, the heir's son.

Something felt off to Bucky. First, Iris died, and now there's a danger to Ethan. Y/N, who looked like Iris, came to mind. He worried someone might go after Y/N, too.

Not willing to let harm come to them, Bucky packed up and left Antarctica, arriving in a warm New York. He headed to the Van Alen residence, seeing many cars and guests offering condolences.

Thinking he couldn't get in, Bucky was surprised there was no security. But then he learned that Ethan had gone missing – a kidnap attempt had just happened. Ethan is missing from his room.

As Bucky approached the Van Alen residence, he noticed the branch of a nearby tree shaking. Looking up, he sighed, realizing it was Ethan.

"Ethan?" Bucky called out.

"Bro? Bucky? Is that you?" Ethan responded from the tree.

"What are you doing?" Bucky inquired.

Ethan explained, frustration in his voice, "I hate everyone. No one talks to me!"

Feeling a pang of sympathy for the grieving child, Bucky opened his arms, saying, "Come down. Everyone is worried about you."

Reluctantly, Ethan descended from the tree, landing in Bucky's protective embrace. As they stood together, security personnel, witnessing the scene, moved forward, intending to detain Bucky.

Before they could intervene, Ethan intervened, proclaiming, "No. He's my bodyguard." The unexpected declaration left the security team momentarily puzzled, but Ethan's insistence shielded Bucky from further scrutiny. 

"You've created unnecessary chaos," Y/N stated, appearing with five people behind her, resembling assistants and bodyguards. 

Bucky couldn't help but think that Y/N, Ethan's aunt, was too cold. She didn't even make an effort to coax her own nephew.

In a burst of emotion, Ethan exclaimed, "Nobody cares for me. Everyone wishes I was gone so Aunt has everything!"

Bucky, taken aback by Ethan's outburst, never expected him to yell like this. Y/N remained silent, eventually sighing, "Be grateful you're still breathing."

Ethan flinched and cried in Bucky's arms, expressing, "Huuu, nobody in this house loves me.”

Bucky tried to comfort the distressed child, saying, "I will talk to your aunt." 

Bucky followed Y/N, expressing concern that Ethan was grieving and suggesting she should be with her nephew during this challenging time.

Y/N's bodyguard attempted to push Bucky away, but she raised her left hand, signaling him to stop.

At that moment, Bucky noticed a small tattoo on Y/N's left fourth finger. His eyes widened as he recognized the same tattoo he and Iris had gotten together back in the day. 

How was it possible that Y/N also had the same tattoo?

Y/N calmly remarked, "Seeing you so eager to protect Ethan, I'll hire you as his bodyguard. He's the reason you're here, right?"

Bucky didn't argue, though his motive extended beyond protecting Ethan; he was also there to find Iris's killer and the person behind the attempt to kidnap Ethan.

Y/N continued, "I'll take that as a yes. My assistant will draw up the contract."

Surprised by her trust, Bucky questioned, "You trust me?"

Y/N replied, "Your effort in coming here to protect Ethan is enough to judge that you're sincere." Bucky was taken aback by her astute judgment. Y/N was not as ignorant as he had initially thought.

Before Bucky could delve further, Y/N declared, "That's good. I need a trusted person to protect Ethan because that kid's life is more important than mine." Bucky sensed a hint of self-pity in her words. 

Before leaving, Y/N added, "Back then, Iris trusted you. I hope I can feel the same. Don't disappoint me, Barnes." Her words hint at a sense of expectation and reliance on Bucky's capabilities.

As he pondered asking her about it, Y/N departed with her entourage, leaving Bucky with lingering questions and a newfound role as Ethan's protector.

Is very protective towards her comrades: Ever since she lost her parents, Katya had always been searching for a way to cope up with her loss by taking care of the people she loves and believes in the most. Even if she never married, or birthed a child, she automatically unlocked her motherly instincts by calling her comrades as her "sons and daughters", considering them as her one, found family.

Ruthless, but at times merciful: Katya has shown immense strength and courage in the battlefield as a sniper and a squad leader, haunting the Germans in their own sleep thinking Katya wouldn't kill them and make the mattress they're sleeping on as their deathbed. But also, when Katya wants to show mercy, she'll show it. She thinks there's no use to wasting her own bullets on someone who already decided to surrender to the Red Army.

Emotional: Let it be a soldier dying, or a civilian, she'll ask forgiveness from God that she wasn't able to save an innocent despite having the duty to protect her own people. The incident that killed all of her soldiers left her deeply scarred, and believed she committed a bigger sin for being too naive and careless, and she deserved the impact on her face. It was even worse when Nikita Dragovich killed her teammates again by putting them as test subjects for the Nova 6 experiment that made her grow deranged and bloodthirsty to hunt Dragovich and his lapdog, Kravchenko in a fit of vengeance, until the CIA caught her presence.

Intelligent and observant: Katya is more aware of her surroundings ever since the incident impacted her, which caused her to be very vigilant, and grew her intelligence in the battlefield which made her useful for the Red Army as a sniper and as a squad leader in the infantry.

BACKGROUND STORY

Katya was born around 1916 with her mother Elizaveta Kovalevskaya (neé Petrova) and father, Viktor Kovalevsky. Spending her childhood in the Ural Mountains, she learnt how to snipe at a young age from her father, who was a hunter, the reason why she took her father's skill in the field of sniping.

In 1939, she recruited herself in the Red Army as a sniper, in which her talent gave a huge role and reputation among the soldiers as a source of bravery, courage and inspiration, that gave her the name "Lady of Death". But, Katya on the other hand didn't want to coin such a name for herself when she believes she's only doing it for the protection of her own people.

But, in 1941, when Germany attacked Soviet Russia under "Operation Barbarossa", her village became a victim of the attacks, which ended up killing her family in the process. Broken and enraged, Katya wanted to avenge her parents death by going through missions and eliminating every single enemy who tried to cross the Soviet borders. Her life completely changed when one day she encountered General Heinrich Amsel, who was responsible for the death of her family along with many others, wanted to kill him by her own hands but never succeeded because he evaded before she could get to him.

Furious, the General wanted to eliminate Katya in her path, by luring her into a trap that he was staying at a hotel and could grab her an opportunity to end his life there. But little to her knowledge, it was all a set up, when he used that entire building as a decoy with the explosives attached. His soldiers locked away his teammates, including Katya but she was able to break through it. In a desperate attempt to find her comrades who were still locked inside, it was too late before the explosion could take effect, and blew her out of the building, leaving her drastically injured.

The explosion was the turning point of her life, where it emotionally scarred her and made her regret being a soldier, when she couldn't even protect her own soldiers, who basked into the flames of Amsel's planned explosion. She was taken for medical assistance, which took her a month to recover physically, and mentally. But, that didn't stop Katya from retiring, as her mind still revolved around that one goal — to eliminate General Amsel, and push all the German forces back from invading Russia.

Somewhere around 1942, she was promoted to Senior Lieutenant, and became the squad leader for the 3rd Shock Army, and participated in the Battle of Stalingrad alongside Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko and Sgt. Viktor Reznov. As the General's whereabouts were found, she led her team throughout the warzone and successfully countered Amsel, which led to his untimely death under the hands of Dimitri's sniper rifle. Katya, who held immense pride for the Private for doing something she couldn't, made him along with Reznov and Chernov as her closest comrades.

After the entire battle, in 1945, they finally achieved victory by liberating Berlin by hoisting the Soviet flag on the Reichstag, Katya was now at peace, hoping for a better future after the war's end.

But, somehow.. her life was going to go into a bigger turmoil, when she gets sent to the mission around the Arctic Circle, leading the events of the first Black Ops.

TLDR: Nope! The Pinkies are not corrupted by a Missingno in JarbleAU.

Maddox (Missingno) is it’s own person within the AU!

Originally in Jarble, the concept just didn’t exist at all. I was ripping them out of their current plot/setting so I didn’t see a need for it.

It wouldn’t make that much sense in the current setting/lore of Jarble. As it’s vastly different from all the blog counterparts.

Then I shifted and went “oh maybe MissingNo could be like, a metaphor for something”

But then shrugged that off, I figured what the characters were going through shouldn’t have been mixed up with metaphors or anything.

Then I thought “oh since they have weapons, maybe Missingno could be the names/symbolize their weapons!”

But then I didn’t like that either

EVENTUALLY I settled on a much funnier option. What if it was just a guy. What if I smashed Bones and Ghost together and made a guy. Originally was going to have another set of twins to be “rivals” to the Pinkies… but there are already another set of twins that fill that.

So I smashed Ghost/Bones together and made a single entity. He’s just a guy.

The “jarble” aspect making it so he’s no longer this super powered glitch entity but is instead… a little guy. Congrats on being a fupking kitty.

Maddox DOES have extreme story relevance still, as per my Jarble rules I can’t eliminate everything but. He isn’t some OP super glitch villain anymore. As for who/what he is in Jarble…

Maddox is a project created by the Mending Ring. I mean come on, can’t have the illegal science going on if they aren’t creating life!

He’s a test tube baby made by a sperm donation that Wem made when he was younger. Despite Maddox being a “”mew”” I still use heavy mewtwo symbolism because I think it’s funny.

Maddox was originally used for basic testing and whatnot. That old chestnut. But eventually showed stronger intelligence and eventually became a scientist himself, being one of the Mending Ring’s top scientists. Also him being the Mayor’s favorite/some weird parental relationship between them, Maddox gets a lot of special treatment.

He’s useful to the Mending Ring and the various studies and experiments that they do! However he does not really work with other scientists, he is still somewhat considered a threat due to him being a literal test tube baby experiment.

So, he lives in a basement type area that also functions as a laboratory! Socially isolated for the most part, he CAN technically leave if he wants to but he doesn’t. He actually enjoys it a lot and does his own thing.

That man is down there in his lab, in his boxers doing experiments and tinkering with things. OSHA and lab safety doesn’t exist to him, it’s his house and he will wear nothing but boxers if he so pleases. He will eat take out food and tinker with robotics while sitting like a shrimp. He does what he wants and he’s the Mayor’s special little guy.

He is technically Wem’s son, so he that means he is also the older brother (only by a few years) to The Pinkies. He dislikes this greatly however, he knows who his father is and hates him. He also knows of the pinkies and thinks they are annoying smelly spoiled brats.

So, how would Primus and Unicorn react to the fact that Wasp tried to kill Bumblebee a lotta times. Just a bit curious on how that will play out, would really be interesting with Wasptinor or however you spell his name, (p.s. Blitzbee is the OP ship of TFA)

Well tbh, he's pissed. More so when the little squish comes to his planet just to torment his bitty more.

Back on Cybertron's orbit in boot camp Primus knew exactly what was happening with Bee and helped him get thru stuff. That however didn't stop Wasp from butting in. As a way to discourage him from bullying Primus came up with a brilliant idea or merciless karma; whenever Wasp bullied Bee, he would immediately after receive an inconvenience. Like stuff being dropped on him by a mech walking by or an embarrassing fall when they were out doing fieldwork. Even if he took a test beforehand, if he bullied Bee in the meantime he would fail it.

At first it seemed to do the trick but then Wasp started blaming everything on Bee even harder. So the karma punishments became more severe. Primus thought that after Bee went away with his crew and Wasp was stuck in jail it would all fall into the past... but nah, Wasp broke out and set out on a hunt for Bee before Primus could stop him.

When Wasp got to work on Earth, Unicron knew every single thing about him, Bee's been telling him a lot of stuff Primus was too spiteful to share with him. He let him do his thing, watched all his moves and plans and when he finally decided to kidnap Bee to replace him, that's when he struck.

The moment Wasp and Bee switched bodies, Wasp was overwhelmed by a divine sensation in his mind. He couldn't understand anything and the voices were only getting louder with each second. He couldn't handle it as the feeling of being bound down by shackles settled in and left him feeling helpless.

Bee was fine, just watching the show in Wasp's body and wondering whether he looks like this whenever he speaks to one of his parents. It was a short while before Bee grabbed the device and swapped back with Wasp and called backup. Wasp was so mentally worn out he couldn't do anything but to curl up and try to silence the raging memory of what happened barely few minutes ago.

He was taken back to Cybertron and held captive once more, this time however he ended up in one of the mental hospitals. He spend the following years thinking about what happened and reflecting on everything.

Maybe someday he'll come to peace that he's horrible and done a lot of wrong, maybe not. Only Primus will know.

Dragodile AU where they got together the way my parents did: a corporate christmas party where everyone was drunk and a manager realized there were only 2 single people there and asked the drunken crowd if they should go out. And then they did. And then became roommates out if convenience a year later where my mom gave my dad the ultimatum that a year from then she either had to move out or they had to get married. Year later she goes “well?” And he goes “well what?” And she goes “am i moving out or are we getting married?” And he said “ok” and she said “what?” And he said “I guess we’re getting married”

Neighbor AU

About Optimus Prime and Megatron being single fathers of these families that have +10 kids running around without any type of supervision, and they hate each other because they both suck at parenting and thinks the other kids are demons, Megatron knows his are demons but will never admit to Optimus.

The "war" starts when Starscream launch a firework at OP house to hit Bumblebee just to end up hitting the stove and blowing the kitchen.

Soundwave and Blaster fighting over who has the best pets just to Blaster buy a venomous snake and losing it in Megatron house when he went to show it Soundwave.

Prowl is just a cop that is trying his best to find any dirt from Optimus and Megatron to throw them in jail, but every time he finds one is like Candace from Phineas and Ferb his proof is destroyed before he can show to his supervisors.

Elita and Ratchet are going to visit their kids, see a police car in front of OP house they look at each other nod and do a U-turn.

In this universe OP is 6x divorced dad (twice with Ratchet) not all kids are from his marriages; reason number one is he can't keep a spouse…

Megatron, on the other hand, just worked for a center that helped troublesome kids/teens and they started to crash in his house when the center budget was gutted, he has all the legal paperwork to Prowl dismay.

He does odd and sketchy jobs, what OP buttheads constantly but try to raise +10 kids legally!!!

Solaxl Week- Day 4

Haha get befuddled, you assumed I was gonna do hurt/comfort, didn't you? Well, I'm doing something different!...mostly bc I couldn't think of any ideas I hadn't already done before.

It was fun to give these two a slightly different dynamic, because a lot of the gruff op solitary behavior of Sol couldn't happen back when he was a kid, and his knowledge of music and inclination for the sciences indicates that as a young'un he was probably a massive nerd. Axl, meanwhile, seems like he was always a little scrappy brat. Don't need an education to be a delinquent. It's fun having Sol be the one out of his league and awkward for once.

It didn’t matter how much college prep bit into his schedule, he still wasn’t giving up on band. Frederick refused to give up on one of the few things that still made him happy.

With how studying had begun bleeding into any snippets of free time he had left, some corners still had to be cut. Study hall had been the most recent casualty, following in the footsteps of lunch period. Sure, he still brought food, but as soon as the bell rang, he’d tuck his books under one arm and head for the band storage closet. It had been his routine for a couple months now. He knew how it was supposed to go. Drop his stuff at the door, flick the switch, head for the guitar rack. Maybe a bite or two of lunch could get squeezed in. It depended on how he felt.

Frederick halted, staring. For the first time, he’d arrived in a storage closet that was occupied by more than just inert instruments.

“You can’t be in here.”

“Eh?”

The guy was perched on the chair’s two back legs- his chair, the same one he used every single time. That alone was enough to veer his confusion into annoyance. Frederick didn’t recognize him, but in fairness, it was a big school. The more he looked, the guy looked less and less familiar and more and more greasy.

Perhaps he didn’t want to sit in that chair after all.

“Was just chillin.’” The stranger replied, shrugging.

Frederick shuffled uncomfortably from foot to foot, unsure of what to do with his routine interrupted. “Band isn’t until sixth block, nobody’s supposed to be in here.”

It felt rather ass-backward to have his own motives questioned, but he chose not to say it, or to start a shouting match. He still had a bit of a reputation for being asocial, but not a total delinquent (in part because if he ever tried that, his parents would never let him live it down)

“I just came down for practice,” he replied. “Are you in study hall? I had all my work finished, so they let me go.”

The other boy snorted. “Heh! Nah, supposed to be in calc. Boo-ring. Hopped out the window, just gonna hang out here until lunch.”

Frederick was definitely sure he hadn’t met this person before. The rough edge to his voice and the thick accent was hard to mistake for someone else.

It suddenly struck him that there were only so many more minutes before the next class started, and he’d already wasted too many talking. Trying to regain some semblance of normalcy, Frederick left his books at the door and dragged a chair off of the pile by the wall. The rhythm of routine almost let him forget the intrusive stranger until he’d sat down again. The guitar’s weight was familiar in his lap, as was the music stand placed before him, but beyond the top of his sheet music, he could still see the guy staring at him with an oddly curved smile.

“Can’t you do that somewhere else? I don’t want someone to walk in and think I’m associated with you.”

“Why not? I’m awesome!”

“You’re a pain.” Frederick strummed the strings and felt along the instrument’s neck to tune one of them. “And I don’t want to get in trouble because of you.”

The other boy leaned forward in his seat, expression halfway between amused and angered. “Bloody hell, are you forreal? You’re one of those guys?”

Frederick paused his tuning. “What do you mean, ‘one of those guys?’”

“One of those little whiny crybabies that gets all bent out of shape just thinkin’ about getting told off. Lemme guess, you’re a straight-A student? Can’t even think about getting anything less than a hundred on everything?”

B-plus, and his parents wouldn’t let him hear the end of it. “M’not taking life criticism from someone who can’t sit through simple math for half an hour. What, does playing delinquent make you feel special?”

“I do it ‘cause I feel like it, you can’t tell me what to do!” Though his voice stayed steady, Frederick could see how the stranger was starting to go red. “And I’m not takin’ this kinda flak from someone who’s probably too much of a teacher’s pet to even swea-”

“Shut the fuck up.”

To his credit, he automatically did, too startled to speak. Frederick kept his scowl for a few moments more, then gave the guitar another strum. It sounded a lot better. He looked back to his sheets and tentatively repeated the first couple of notes…all the while he could still see himself being watched. He sighed in annoyance. “Like I told you already, I don’t want people to think we have anything to do with each other. Can you just hang out somewhere else?”

“Tch.”

Not much of an answer. The proper answer seemed to come in the form of the stranger sliding off his chair and cracking his neck. Instead of heading for the door, though, Frederick watched him approach the instruments. For a moment, he wondered if he’d start smashing things just to cause trouble.

“Well, then we will have something to do with each other, then!” He swiped another guitar off of the next hanger over. The chair he’d just been sitting in was hip-checked over closer to Frederick’s, and sat down far too close for his personal taste. “Whattaya playing? Got a second copy?”

Frederick jerked back. “You trying to breathe down my neck? Dammit, and be careful with that, don’t break anything! Do you know what you’re doing in the slightest?”

“Oh, you shut the fuck up, bloody poindexter.”

Before Frederick could think of sending a jab back, he was interrupted as the stranger started to play. The first few notes were rough, but…he hadn’t seen anyone else in band handle a guitar so carefully. Personal appearances were one thing, but Frederick had enough experience to recognize someone familiar with a guitar. And even if it wasn’t his favorite band, he’d recognize the iconic twangs of Cream’s ‘Sunshine of Your Love’ in his sleep.

He couldn’t hold back an impressed whistle. “Wow. Not bad, dirtbag. Surprised it wasn’t grunge.”

“Grunge’s fine, but I didn’t wanna scare ya~” Though he still had a smugness about him, Frederick could feel a little more warmth in the stranger’s tone. “So whatta you play?”

I like the classics.” He replied with pride. “Queen’s the best.”

“Nice, same boat. Folks tell me I like ‘dad music’ ‘n I tell ‘em their taste’s shit.” Frederick was offered a hand. “Guess you ain’t all bad. ‘m Axl, Axl Low.”

He took what was offered and shook. “Frederick Bulsara.”

Axl started to laugh. “Of course yer name’s Frederick.”

“H-hey, stuff it. I don’t believe for a second ‘Axl’ is your real name, either.”

“Okay, okay, I get it, Freddie. So, you said you came down fer practice, this a hobby?”

Frederick adjusted himself in his chair, settling the guitar across his lap. “Kinda. I like doing it for fun, but band class gives it a little more structure. And I’ve been doing it long enough that Professor Ringo lets me submit songs for us to do. Don’t think I’ve seen you in the orchestra, have I?”

“Don’t do band.” Said Axl. “Don’t like ‘em tellin’ me what to play. But I guess if you’re doing good shit this semester…”

“Yeah, here, lemme show you the stuff I got- “

The moment he tried to reach for his sheet music, the bell began to ring. Frederick looked down at his watch. “Shit, how’s it been that long?! I didn’t even get any practice in!”

Axl snickered, taking both of their guitars and putting them back on the rack. “Careful, Freddie, people are gonna think you’re some kinda delinquent, late for class and using dirty words like that.”

“Oh yeah, you’d know all about that-” He frantically gathered his things, shoving the music stand back with the others. In his haste, he’d forgotten to take the sheet music off first, and the motion sent them flying “Dammit!”

“Got it, I got it,” Axl knelt down and started gathering them up. From his pocket came a cracked pen. Frederick didn’t have a chance to say anything before he’d already started writing something on one of the papers.

“What are you doing? Don’t mess it up!”

“Chill, yeesh.” Once his self-appointed task was finished, Axl handed everything back to its owner. “Just giving you my contact info. Uh, hey, drop me a text later, got it? Dunno how to sign up for classes, maybe you could show me? Or heck, just send me some vids of the stuff you play, I wanna see your technique.”

He spoke too fast for Frederick to keep up. “Huh? What- “

“See ya, mate!”

Though he was still worried about next class, he was too bewildered to do anything but stare at the empty doorway where Axl had just been. Turning over the stack of sheet music, sure enough, there was a string of numbers and under the strange boy’s name.

What a peculiar encounter. He still wasn’t sure what to make of it. Though he did have a softer spot for someone who could appreciate the classics. Maybe it would be worth keeping in contact? When he had a moment between classes, Frederick would try to memorize Axl’s number and put it into his contacts…He’d have to ask why there had been a scratchy heart scribbled next to it, anyway…

it really depends on your preference but I'd say start with your fave fics and follow the tags. Sometimes you can also check out the author's bookmarks for their fave fics as well. I'd also recommend checking out the wangxian fic recs blog! Alsp dont just search by kudos!!! This fandom has so many hidden gems. Id recommend making limited searches like within a certain time or even just going to a random page and checking out what you might like!

Further thoughts on the 3rd tries the charm OP Parental Time Travel AU:

The devil fruit in question that allowed this to happen has only had two users, Nami(from the "canon" timeline and the second timeline) and Mihawk(started the third timeline). Its abilities were(as far as they knew) to send people's minds back into their former bodies from a point in the future and restore memories of that timeline to those in the past.

Nami initially only sent the main crew and a few othets back, but restored the memories of a few more people as time went on, including Mihawk.

At the end of the second timeline, the entire Strawhat crew was wiped out apart from Brook(sorry Brook). He was the one to explain what the fruit was and how Nami had used it. Mihawk decided to eat it because he was the only warlord without a crew so he had more freedom to travel than anyone else. Also he didn't have a devil fruit, which cut out a lot of people. And he wanted to go find Zoro(who absolutely isn't his son, no way) and kick his ass for DARING to die before they got to have their final dual. Unfortunately, the fruit could only support a single entry point to the current timeline, so everyone(both timelines for my sanity) got sent back to the same time. Namely, when Luffy was born.

Of course, the Strawhats saved a lot of people throughout the second timeline. Bellemere, Corazon, Tom, Whitebeard, Banchina, Hiriluk(briefly), etc, so they and all the other parental figures all join together to make sure their kids survive this time around. Mostly, this means saving them from themselves(LUFFY) until they're strong enough to confront the World Government again.

Other fun things under the cut:

Smoker was uniformly appointed ASL babysitter by all their parental figures. His respect for Dadan knows no bounds. Garp owes him so much booze.

Speaking of, Garp left the Marines like... right away when he got back. They killed all his grandkids(including the Sword marine grandkids!!!) and nearly his son in the second timeline, they can go fuck themselves until the Celestial Dragons are no longer attached to them. When he's not being a much more active participant in raising his grandkids, he's bothering Dragon, Whitebeard, and Sengoku.

Corazon barely waited to reorientate himself before he went to go find the Op Op fruit and give it to Law. Flevance hasn't fallen yet and Law remembers, so they use this to save Flevance.

Jinbe dealt with Arlong in the second timeline and Arlong ended up not being nearly as terrible as he was. He knows that the Strawhats are the key to his people not being enslaved anymore, so he's gonna fo whatever it takes to defend the one he knows how to find. At the same time, he and Bellemere fight CONSTANTLY over Nami's education. They both have Jinbe on speed dial to complain about the other.

God. My CP9/Water 7 arc of this is over a page on its own, but the important thing to know is that the main CP9 members defected and hid in Water 7 with Franky and co. In my mind, Lucci and Kaku ended up joining the crew in the second timeline(after Nami made them remember) and died with them, so they were confused about why the rest of CP9 was so willing to join them this time around but were willing to roll with it. Also, they saved Brook early and he became a musical sensation on the Grand Line.

I literally have like four pages of notes on this AU and I'm shocked it's not more considering there are three timelines I need to keep in mind. I'll expand later if anyone wants me too.
