The Met Gala was one of the events you could never quite get used to — an annual, glittering parade of artists, designers, models, and the occasional movie star. Tonight, you’ve arrived with your team, decked out in a show-stopping outfit that had social media buzzing long before you even stepped onto the red carpet.

After the red carpet and photo-ops, you slip away, seeking a quieter corner of the hall, clutching a champagne glass that’s more for show than sipping. It’s here, away from the flashing cameras, that you hear someone chuckle softly nearby.

“So you’re hiding out too, huh?”

You turn toward the voice and find yourself face-to-face with Drew Starkey. He’s tall, with an easy smile, his tux fitting him like it was made for him. You recognize him immediately — the Internet’s favorite bad boy. And despite the flashy lights outside, he somehow exudes a quiet, laid-back charm that feels surprisingly out of place in a room full of larger-than-life personalities.

“Guilty,” you reply, a smirk tugging at your lips as you raise your glass. “Needed a breather. How about you?”

Drew chuckles, scratching the back of his neck, his eyes sweeping over the crowded hall. “Yeah, I’m not too big on these things either. But they told me it’d be ‘good for my image,’” he says, making air quotes with a playful grin.

You laugh, nodding in understanding. “They say that a lot. But hey, it’s not so bad. I’ve already had three strangers tell me they love my latest album, which they clearly haven’t listened to.”

Drew chuckles, his gaze meeting yours. “Well, for what it’s worth, I did listen to your latest album. My sister is obsessed. I think I’ve heard every song about a thousand times.”

“Oh?” You raise an eyebrow, amused. “Then you must be a fan by now.”

He shrugs with a playful smile. “Maybe I am. Got a favorite track, actually.”

Curiosity piqued, you tilt your head, challenging him. “Really? Which one?”

He steps closer, lowering his voice as if to keep the answer between the two of you. “Track three. ‘Lonely Nights,’ right? That song hits different.”

You blink, caught off guard by his choice. That song was raw, a rare glimpse of your private self in an industry that often demanded you be someone else. Hearing Drew mention it, with that earnest glint in his eye, stirs something in you.

“Didn’t expect that,” you admit. “Most people go for the upbeat stuff. The party anthems.”

He shrugs again, an easy smile gracing his lips. “Guess I’m not most people.”

Before you can respond, a voice calls out to you from across the room — your manager, reminding you that you’re needed back on the main floor.

You give Drew an apologetic smile, reluctant to leave. “Duty calls, I guess.”

He nods, his gaze lingering on you. “Good luck out there.”

You turn to leave, but then glance back at him, emboldened. “Hey, maybe we’ll run into each other again tonight?”

He grins, his eyes twinkling under the dim lights. “Count on it.”

As the night wears on, you spot Drew in the crowd multiple times, catching his eye each time and exchanging a silent smile or a raised glass. Eventually, you find yourself back in that quiet corner, escaping the chaos once more — and it’s no surprise that Drew finds his way there too.

“Fancy meeting you here,” he jokes, leaning casually against the wall beside you.

“Guess this is our spot now,” you reply, a smile creeping onto your face.

The rest of the night blurs into an effortless flow of conversation. Drew listens intently as you share anecdotes from your world, and he offers his own, giving you glimpses into the life of an actor constantly in the public eye. There’s a quiet understanding between you both, an unspoken bond between two people navigating the glitzy chaos of fame.

As the night winds down, and the crowd begins to thin, Drew walks you outside, where the city lights glisten in the darkness.

“Thanks for tonight,” you say, the words leaving you softer than you intended.

He glances down at you, his gaze steady. “No problem. Hopefully, we get to do it again sometime.”

Before you can respond, he takes a step back, giving you a quick, almost shy smile before disappearing into the night.

takin' a look at this request, i thought this was gonna be a real hard one. trackin' down the danny devito version is a piece of cake. but the original version with the vampires? anythin' but. or so i thought...

first thing i did was took a stroll down the Madame Curator's museum of eccentric antiquities, the Hellsite Hall of Fame itself. i went in and found the post rather quickly as it was a new edition to her gallery. but that's when i realized it wasn't an image that had been edited, it was the original post. i sent a correspondence along to the mysterious museum cryptid askin' if it were possible to track down the unedited version. while i waited for her response, i decided to take a look through the post's notes. my thought was that maybe, if i scrolled far enough, i could find reblogs from the time when this post was still about vampires. but what i found instead was incredible.

a screenshot showin' the original version of the post, with a second username included. i quickly searched that name on tumblr and found the post almost immediately. the original version about vampires had been found.

this one was one i thought was gonna be real hard, but ended up bein' quite an enjoyable ride. thanks for takin' me on this journey! have a great day!

“Yeah,” it felt like she should have been asking him that especially once she felt how tense his back was underneath her hand. But now wasn’t the time. 

Instead they both got onto the back of the golf cart that was set to take them to the other side of the convention center where their rides to the kickoff show before Smackdown were supposed to be waiting for them. 

Rhea kept a smile on and waved to the audience cheering just a few feet away, keeping their attention on her as Jey stared at the camera the vlog camera man was holding as he held onto the side of the cart. She gently patted Jey’s shoulder as they moved and eventually went through the curtain, separating them from the crowd.

While she couldn’t see his eyes with the sunglasses he had on, she could see his body visibly relax once some of the noise of WWE World faded away and the golf cart came to a stop. The vlog camera man shut down the camera for the time being as someone filled them both in as to where they were going next. She’d be getting a ride in the SUV bringing Damian while Jey arrived separately so the cameras could catch him arriving on the show. 

With word that both rides were still a few minutes out, she asked if they could have a minute. Once the team agreed and backed away, she wrapped both arms around Jey’s neck and felt him hold on tight.

“You okay?” she whispered.

“Tired.”

She knew it. Their schedules this week, particularly his, were draining let alone everything that went into each interview, autograph signing, and photo op. Plus the noise? While it was their field’s life blood, it could also be draining.

“You’ve got some time between the kickoff and Hall of Fame, right?”

“Yeah. Got dinner before and I promised Jeyce I’d call.”

She moved one hand to rub against his cheek, his beard soft against her palm. “Just remember to take it easy,” she felt the hint of a smile before she replaced her hand with her lips, quickly kissing his cheek and lightly pecking his lips, whispering the quietest ‘love you’ in the process.

That’s when one of the team coughed, causing them to separate. It was the vlog cameraman, the camera still lowered at his side for now. “Rhea, you’re with her. Jey, it’s me and you buddy.”

As she started to walk away, she could hear Jey teasing him, “Damn, ain’t you tired of looking at this mug yet?”

lookin' at the money i was handed already, and the promise of more upon completion of this case, i simply had to take it on. so, i began my search. i went to see Google at the Search Bar and asked them for this post. i tried askin' for so many different combinations of words but nothin' was comin' up. until eventually i asked for "tumblr moon moon common point." i was then handed a screenshot on reddit that showed me exactly what i wanted. so, i went to the address of the last post in the chain to see what i could find.

i tried searchin' every possible keyword i could think of. but nothin' was yieldin' results for me. so, about to throw in the towel, i decided to check one more thing. the tags on the post. now, not all the tags were visible in the post. but i could just barely make out part of the final tag. it read "hellsite..." now, there's only one person i know who ends tag chains with somethin' startin' with "hellsite."

so i paid a visit to Madame Curator over at the @hellsite-hall-of-fame. i did a quick search for one of the previous tags and found the post instantly. i filed it away...
