─── Ⅵ "HASN'T IT ONLY BEEN LIKE… three weeks since —”
“Yes Powder, it’s only been three weeks since Cait and I broke up —”
“I mean, for the record, I never liked her —”
“Yes, you made that abundantly clear even when we were dating —”
“She was a stuck-up little horse-shoe crab with a weird obsession with turtlenecks and I mean, that always felt like a red flag to me —”
“Powder. Focus.”
“Oops — sorry,” Powder giggles, “what were you saying again? Something about a hot figure skater girl who’s tryna be your girlfriend?”
Vi sighs, adjusting her phone, propped up against a stack of pillows as she lazes in bed, her cheek pillowed on her crossed arms as she watches Powder fiddle with something or other through the screen.
“Trying to be my fake girlfriend,” Vi corrects.
Powder lifts up her goggles, “Oh, I like this one better already. So? What’s the issue?”
Vi groans, burying her face in her arms, “The issue is that” she flips onto her back, staring at the faint Christmas lights strung up around her room, the soft diffuse lighting making her pause. She thinks back to the look of you on that kitchen floor, the way your eyes had lit up when you laughed, how your lips had tasted — sweet and intoxicating — against hers.
“I feel like… parts of her remind me of — of Cait.”
“Gee Wilikers, so you've gotta thing for ice queens that make questionable fashion decisions — please sis, this is not news. Not to me, not to Vander, not to the lady down the street who always tries to give us soggy croissants —”
Vi frowns, “What do you mean? And those croissants were just a little buttery —”
“Sweet god — you remember that one chick you were head over heels for when we were kids?”
Vi only frowns harder at the ceiling lights.
“You… mean the one with the long hair and —”
“Yes, the one you said looked like she could ruin your life?”
Vi makes a noncommittal noise, heat washing into her cheeks at the memory.
“I mean,” Vi muses, “she kinda did.”
Powder sighs, “Sis, we were twelve. Whatever. And then there was the basketball captain during your senior year —”
“She was like the hottest chick I’d ever seen up until that point!”
“Uh-huh — she also unironically wore crocs when she wasn’t on the court —”
“Hey, those shoes are comfortable —”
“They’re an affront to fashion and we both know it. But anyway — point being — why’re you acting surprised that you’re once again falling for someone that is A, fantastically talented at a thing, and B probably has mommy-issues up the wazoo?”
Vi swallows, the memory of your laughter ringing through her like church bells on a Sunday morning. She whines, tossing an arm over her eyes.
Powder laughs.
“Ohhh, I know that sound.”
“What sound?” Vi flips back over, squinting at her sister from her cracked phone screen.
Powder smirks, flipping an L-wrench between her fingers before pointing the straight end at Vi.
“The sound of a woman being completely and utterly pussy-whipped.”
Vi squawks, shooting up on her bed, frowning down at her phone.
“I — I am not pussy-whipped!”
Powder shrugs, dropping her eyes back onto her project, “Say what you will, but this is exactly what you sounded like when you first had a crush on that weird, turtleneck-loving mongoose —”
“What is it with you and turtlenecks? And I thought she was a horseshoe-crab? Now she’s a mongoose? They’re not even remotely similar —”
“Evil can come in all shapes and sizes —”
“She’s not evil —”
“Tell that to all her turtlenecks —”
“Okay, no what is it with you and turtlenecks —”
“I dunno! It’s just a vibe-thing, okay?” Powder drops her L-wrench and gestures towards the screen, her eyes wide even as Vi stares, nonplussed as her younger sister motions vaguely into the ether, “Like… what’s she tryna hide behind all those high necklines? And what does she have against the art and perfection that is the human collarbone — I mean —”
Vi nearly throws her phone across the room. She settles for screaming into her pillow instead.
Powder laughs, dusting off her hands and shrugging.
“All I’m saying is — this new girl, whoever she is — sounds like a better deal already.”
“How could you possibly know that? You know nothing about her.”
Powder hitches an eyebrow, “I know that she pretended to be your new girlfriend in front of horseshoe-crab-mongoose and her new button-cap mushroom of a sidepiece.”
“Button-cap — sidep— what the fuck —?”
Powder waggles her fingers, “Evil in all shapes, remember?”
Vi lets out another exasperated groan, “This was pointless —”
“It wasn’t! You just have to take her out on a date!”
“What?”
“You. Take skater-girl. On a date.”
Vi stares.
“B-but I can’t do that.”
“And… why not?” Powder tilts her head so far to the right she’s almost at 90-degrees with the camera.
Vi huffs out a breath, “Cause… the whole campus thinks we’re actually dating. So it’d be weird —”
“For you to take your fake girlfriend on a real date?”
“Exactly!” A pause. “Wait —”
Powder cackles, waving her hand.
“Lemme know how the date goes, sis! Oh! And try not fuck this one up, yeah? Wouldn’t want the whole campus to know that you fumbled an Olympic athlete, hm? Kay, love ya, bye!”
The Facetime call drops, and Vi’s left staring at a too-close image of her own bewildered face, her eyes wide, her mouth hanging open. She blinks at her own reflection for a few more seconds before the screen fades to black and she’s left with nothing but the silence of her own room to keep her company.
She slumps back against the wall, kneading her eyes with the heels of her hands as she runs over Powder’s words.
Take your fake girlfriend on a real date.
But she can’t quite tamp down the strange giddiness that rises beneath her ribs at the thought.
She almost jumps out of her skin as her phone lights up again and she scrabbles at it, flicking it open only to see a single line of text from Jayce —
mel wants to talk.
Tumblr media
“I don’t want to waste anyone’s time here so —” Mel laces her fingers on the cafeteria table, looking down the bridge of button nose as if she were interviewing a candidate for a consulate seat, not tucked into a far corner of the dining commons on a busy Thursday night.
Vi blinks, “Wow, not one for smalltalk, huh? And here I was hoping that we could chat about the weather or something.”
She glances at Jayce, who only throws her a helpless sort of shrug.
Mel ignores them both, her eyes sharp as she looks Vi over.
“What are your intentions with my friend?”
Vi’s eyebrows shoot up as she sputters, “M-my intentions?” Her gaze slingshots over to Jayce once more, and this time, he has the decency to look just a bit sheepish.
Mel’s cocks her head, clearly waiting. Vi sputters.
“W-what d’you — your friend was the one that came onto me —”
“She saved you from what looked like a terribly uncomfortable conversation with your ex,” Mel says, her tone so smooth and certain that for a second, Vi pauses to wonder if she might actually be able to simply speak things into existence with nothing but her conviction in her own words.
“She announced to nearly the whole school that we were dating!”
Mel sighs, “Yes, which is why I’m asking you — what are your intentions with her?”
Vi stares, heat now beginning to eat up the back of her neck ,”Well up until that happened, I didn’t have any intentions with her —”
“So now you do?” Mel’s voice is sharp.
Vi groans, throwing up her hands, “What? No! I mean —” she runs a hand through her hair, “I don’t know!”
Jayce leans forward, “Look, Vi — what Mel’s trying to say is —”
“I’ve never seen her like this before.”
Vi goes still. Jayce sighs.
“What… do you mean?”
Mel lets out a long breath, and for the first time, her flawless exterior cracks ever so slightly as she leans back, folding her arms across her chest.
“Ever since that party, she’s been… distracted. And her routine’s suffering because of it —”
Vi lets out an incredulous laugh, “You’re raking me over the coals because her little figure skating routine isn’t going well? Alright, I’m outta here —”
Vi tries to stand up, but Mel’s hand shoots out, quick as a flash, and when she catches Vi’s wrist, her grip is startlingly strong. Vi grunts, her arm jerking back as she glares at Mel.
“You don’t understand,” Mel says, and there’s a quiver like a hairline fracture in the low thrum of her voice that makes Vi pause, “She’s… she’s not as strong as people think she is —”
Vi scoffs, “Not sure that’s the word I’d use but —”
Mel shakes her head, “I know what people say about her, that she’s frigid — the ice princess, right? But I’ve known her since we were kids — she’s not like that.”
Mel’s voice softens, and Vi sinks back into her seat, watching as Mel pulls back her hand.
“She’s just… passionate and a bit naive —”
“Tch, really.” Vi rolls her eyes, but she can’t help the grin that threatens her lips at the memory of you, admitting to her on the kitchen floor of the party that you’re ‘not the best with impulsivity’, the soft noise you’d made at the back of your throat when she’d kissed you, how soft your skin had been beneath the hem of that wet dream of a dress —
“— this sport’s been her whole life,” Mel says, fixing Vi with an imploring look, “and whatever you did or didn’t say or do to her at that party… it’s got her in her head. And she’s not the type to fall in love easily —”
“Whoa, whoa, it was one kiss —” Vi balks at the word ‘love’ but Mel only pushes on, her voice once more taking on it’s lacquer-like shine, her eyes dark as a moonless night —
“I’m just asking you to please think about what you want out of this because…” she lets out a breath, leaning back once more, “it might’ve been just one kiss to you. But it sure as hell wasn’t just that for her.”
Tumblr media
This is starting to get ridiculous, you think, for the fourth night in a row, sitting up in bed and glancing at the small LED clock currently blinking 12:38AM at you in a traitorous red light. You groan, scraping your nails against your scalp as you slump back into your blankets.
Moonlight pools cool and silver over your sheets, slit into slivers by the half-closed blinds.
You take a deep breath and try to clear your mind, but seven minutes later, you’re jerking back the covers to rummage around for a pair of running shorts and a sweater.
Ten minutes after that, you set off on your normal jogging route, one earbud thumping an upbeat EDM song as you let your thoughts wander. It’d been one week since the sorority party and the kiss in the kitchen. One week since Vi had nearly run out of that kitchen, looking as if she were about to be sick.
Your stomach churns. Were you really that terrible at kissing? It didn’t seem like she was having a bad time — warmth coils in the pit of your belly even as you try desperately to tamp down the electric tingle of desire that shoots up your spine every time you let your mind wander near the memory.
It’d been one hell of a kiss. But what you remembered most was the way Vi’s expression had broken open with laughter as she’d sat next to you, calling you princess, telling you that she was impressed. How bewildered she’d looked the second before you kissed her, how she’d moaned low and long when you ran your tongue across her lips. How she’d opened her mouth and let you in.
“Oh shit —” your foot catches on a small crack in the pavement and you stumble forward a few steps, catching yourself before you actually hit the ground.
“You alright there, darlin’?” a slimy voice calls from somewhere behind you, and you whip around to find a group of three men sauntering towards you, cigarette butts and empty beer cans scattered around their feet as they push up from the stoop they’d been loitering on.
“Uh yeah — fine. Thanks,” you say, taking a few steps back, quickly taking stock of your surroundings. It’s only a few minutes passed 1AM on a Saturday night, but the street you’re on is quiet, a small by-way between two residential neighborhoods, the row of houses to your right look foreclosured, their windows dark and boarded up, the low hedges in front of them overgrown and ill-watered.
“You sure? Don’t need a hand with nothin’?” Another one of the men asks, smirking as they advance on you, looking you up and down, their gazes nothing short of salacious. The third man chuckles, pulling a tiny switchblade out of his pocket.
“C’mon, dollface,” the first one says, opening his hands, “wanna keep us company for a little while? Promise we’ll show you a good time.”
Ice seizes your veins as you try to calculate how long it’d take for you to sprint to the nearest house that might have someone living in it. You stumble back half a step, ready to take off when a smear of red flashes by you and a sharp crunch sounds before one of the guys is skidding across the pavement, knocked out cold.
“The fuck —” the second man gapes at the red-hooded figure for a breath before he dives for them. But the figure’s too quick, ducking under his arm and catching him with a solid punch to the stomach that sends him reeling.
But as they pull back, the red hood slips off to reveal a shock of bright pink hair.
“V-Vi?!”
You squeak, jumping back as she turns towards the third guy, his face split in a nasty snarl, the switchblade glinting dangerously in his hand. Vi eyes the blade in his hand for a second before smirking, cocking her head.
“C’mon big guy — you wanna see how that ends?”
The man hesitates for half a second before yelling and swinging wide, but Vi’s fist connects with his jaw and he tips backwards, just as one of his friends is staggering back onto his feet, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes wild as he dives for Vi from behind.
You scream.
“Vi! Lookout!”
Vi’s elbow jerks back just in time to catch him in the chest, but he still manages to skim his fist along Vi’s cheek, and the impact jerks her head back. You let out another abortive shout as the knife-wielding man manages to catch Vi around the middle, grappling her even as she kicks out, her foot catching his friend on the chin and sending him to the ground again.
You look around frantically, eyes catching on a broken tree branch caught in one of the rusting fences — you scramble over and pull it free, heaving the surprisingly heavy branch behind you and swinging your whole body weight into it as you bring it crunching down onto switchblade’s calf.
He lets out a shout of pain, dropping to one knee, his grip loosening just enough for Vi to jerk her head back, butting him in the chin with her skull.
Dark red blood spills from his lips as Vi rips out of his arms and grabs for your hand.
You drop the branch and let Vi tug you behind her, the pair of you sprinting off till you reach the nearest through-street, the baseline thrum of car engines a welcome relief from the eerie quiet.
“What the hell were you doing out here so late?” Vi asks, rounding on you, even as her own chest heaves with the exertion.
You straighten up, pressing a palm to your stomach to stem the stitch twisting in your side.
“I — I was on a jog!”
“At —” Vi checks her phone, “1:17 in the morning?!”
You scowl, “I couldn’t sleep so I was trying to clear my head!”
“You know there are treadmills in our gym right? The gym that’s open twenty-four hours —”
“It’s not the same! And —” you cut off abruptly, slamming your mouth shut, your teeth worrying at your bottom lip.
“And what? God, holy shit — what were you gonna do if I didn’t show up?”
You crinkle your nose, sidestepping the question with, “What were you doing out so late, then?”
Vi blinks for a second before straightening up with a sigh.
“Doing the same thing you were.”
You throw up your hands, “Why’re you allowed to go running around at night, but I’m not?”
“Because I know how to lay a guy out when he tries to get fresh! Clearly, a skillset you don’t seem to share!”
“I could’ve outrun them…” you mumble, tugging at your sleeves.
Vi scoffs, “Right, and if you couldn’t?”
But your eyes catch on a cut along her eyebrow, the bruise blooming dark on her left cheek. You reach out a hand; she catches your wrist before you can touch her face, her expression guarded.
“You’re bleeding.”
Her grip loosens but she still shrugs you off, “It’s nothing.”
You frown, shaking your head. When she relaxes her fingers, you twist your hand around to catch her wrist instead.
“C’mon.”
“Uh… where’re we going?”
You lead her down the street, pausing at a crosswalk to look both ways even though the street itself is very much deserted.
“My place.”
Vi lets out a soft laugh, “Geez, princess. Are all you figure skaters this forward? Y’know usually, you’d take a girl out on a date first before inviting her home.”
You shoot her a nasty look over your shoulder.
“We’re already ‘dating’, remember?”
Vi’s smirk drops from her face, but she doesn’t pull her hand away. And by the time you reach the front of your building, she’s at a level with you, her arm hanging limp in your grip. You cast her a sidelong glance before dropping her hand and rummaging around for your keys.
“Hm. Nice place,” she says, looking around as you push into your apartment, tossing your keys in a turtle-shaped bowl by the door and toeing off your shoes. “Bit far from campus though, no?”
You head for the bathroom, flicking on the lights as you go.
“Yeah, but it’s closer to the rink — aha!” you pull out the first aid kit under the bathroom sink and make your way back into the small living room to find Vi standing awkwardly by the door. You jerk your head towards the couch.
“Sit.”
Vi sighs, eyeing the room over once more before kicking off her shoes and slumping down on the couch. You perch yourself in front of her, leaning in to check on the thin slash on her forehead.
“It’s not very deep but… I’m still gonna need to wipe it first.”
“Do your worst, princess.”
You roll your eyes, tearing open an antiseptic wipe with your teeth and reaching up to dab gingerly at the cut. Vi winces dramatically, chuckling when you give her another glare.
“So…” Vi says, in a bracing attempt to fill the thickening silence.
Your brow creases as you continue to wipe down the cut, flipping the wipe over to the clean side.
“Heard you’re training for the Olys… that’s… impressive.”
You sigh, putting down the now stained alcohol wipe and digging around for some neosporin.
“I have to qualify first.”
“Yeah? And what’s that look like?”
“Well… the quickest way to do that is to just be the best figure skater in the entire country.”
Vi lets out an incredulous laugh, “Oh yeah. It’s that simple, huh?”
You fix her with a look as you squeeze a tiny dollop of neosporin onto your finger.
“It is. But simple doesn’t mean it’s easy — hold still.”
You gingerly drag your finger across the cut, blowing gently before pulling back to tear open a bandaid.
“Barring that though, I basically have to consistently place within the top 3 at all the international competitions I participate in and… hope that the skating union thinks I’m good enough to represent the country.”
You press the bandaid to her forehead, leaning back to assess your work before letting your hand drop.
“Oh,” Vi breathes, watching as you fold the discarded bits of wrapping paper into smaller and smaller squares. “Damn, princess. You really are… good, huh.”
You let out a soft laugh, shrugging, “It’s… kinda the only thing I’ve ever been… good at.” You sigh, reaching into the first aid box for a cold compress, breaking the seal and shaking it in your hand to activate it.
Vi hums as you reach up to press the cold pack to her cheek, her hand catching yours before you can pull away completely. She doesn’t miss the way your breath hitches in your chest or the way your eyes go wide in the slant-wise light.
“Hm. You seem plenty good at getting yourself into trouble though.”
Her voice is low, husky in a way that catches even herself off guard. But you lick your lips and Vi can’t stop herself from glancing down at the soft pink flash of your tongue.
“Says the girl who bought her fists to a knife-fight,” but there’s no real bite in your voice, and still, your hand is poised beneath hers, pressed to the rapidly cooling pack on her cheek.
Neither of you seem to notice the steadily decreasing space between you, nor the rapid uptick of your pulse, nor the way your knee is somehow slotted between Vi’s legs, her free hand resting against your thigh.
“Where I grew up, a good pair of fists’ll take you much further than any fancy knife-work.”
You’re so close you can taste the heat of her words as they wash across your lips.
“Is this… the part of the night where you tell me you tragic backstory? Y’know, the one that makes you such a good hockey player?” you ask, grinning as Vi scoffs, her hand inching up your thigh till her fingers skim yours. She gives your other hand a squeeze, the one that’s still clutched beneath hers on the cold compress against her cheek.
“We really oughtta do something about that mouth of yours — it’s gonna get you into some real trouble some day.”
You tilt your head slow, your eyes caught on the dangerous curve of Vi’s mouth as you suck in a soft breath, her free hand linking with yours —
“And here I thought I was already in the realest kind of trouble I could find…”
Vi’s thumb skims along the soft pad of your hand and you wince, pain shooting up your arm as you jerk back.
“Ouch —”
“Sorry —”
You both look down and the moment fades from around you like a dissipating breath on a winter morning’s chill. She frowns down at your hand even as you try to tug it free.
“It’s nothing, I just —”
“Hold still,” Vi’s voice is still soft but stern as jerks your hand up to eye level.
A sharp splinter peaks out from the pad of your palm, just beneath your thumb and Vi sighs, dropping the hand holding the compress to her cheek.
“You got tweezers or something?”
You nod mutely, tugging away to grab a pair from your makeup bag and bringing it back.
“Guess I should be thanking you,” Vi says, frowning as she squeezes at the tender skin around the splinter, trying to get to a good angle.
“For what? You’re the one that saved me,” you say, your breath hitching as she nudges against the splinter with her thumb, her wincing as you let out a small whine.
“Shit, sorry — I mean — I would’ve been in trouble if you didn’t take that guy out with the branch — don’t move — I think I got it —”
“I just…” you shrug your free arm, watching as Vi tugs the small shard of wood from your flesh, a bead of blood collecting on your skin.
Vi chuckles, shifting back to flick the splinter from the tweezer head and hand it back to you.
“Just moved without thinking?”
You flush, nodding, rubbing at your hand, glancing anywhere but at Vi’s face.
The quiet gathers around you like smoke, swirling and thick till you can’t stand the weight of it anymore and turn back towards her.
“Look, I’m sorry I pretended to be —”
“Do you wanna go out sometime with —”
The pair of you speak at the same time and you freeze, staring at one another.
“Sorry, what?”
“No, you —” Vi breaks off, swallowing.
You shake your head, “I — you said —”
“Forget what I —”
You frown, “Did you just ask me out on a real date?”
Vi goes pink, pushing her tongue against her cheek as she glares at a blank spot on the wall.
“Not if you’re actually sorry for trying to be my fake —”
“There’s a really cute place off Centre street —”
Vi’s eyebrows hike up, a grin twitching at her lips, “Yeah?”
You purse your lips, heat crawling up your neck and kissing into your cheeks.
“They’ve got boozy cupcakes.”
Vi laughs, “Oh shit, yeah?”
“I’ve… always wanted to go but…”
“So why haven’t you?”
You swallow, the ticking, post-midnight quiet collecting sweet around the pair of you like honey.
“Th-they’re kind of big and — I’ve… I’ve never had anyone to… to share one with.”
“Kinda big, huh?” Vi asks, her voice licentious, her eyebrows waggling.
You give her a tiny shove, “Oh my god — nevermind —”
“Let’s do it.”
You blink, your lashes fluttering as Vi shifts back half an inch, sucking in a breath as if reminding her own lungs of the action of breathing. There’s a berry-stained darkness to her cheeks and a lost, liquid look to her eyes. You wonder if it’s just the dimness of your apartment but when she turns her gaze back onto you, you find yourself arrested in it’s light.
“Okay,” you breathe.
And Vi nods again.
“I’ll uh — text you — wait, do we even have each other’s numbers?”
You shake your head, watching as she digs her phone from her pocket.
“No but I —” you pause as your hand hovers over her proffered phone. Vi frowns.
“You… what?”
You take her phone and quickly punch in your number, hitting the save button and handing the phone back to her.
Vi glances down at your contact before shooting you a quick text.
You jump slightly, biting your lips as you flick open your screen, your cheeks staining a darker and darker shade of red as you flip your screen towards her.
“I might’ve… asked Jayce for your number.”
Vi stares at the saved contact — Violet <3
“Wh —”
“It was so that if anyone came up to me after that party to ask if we were really dating, I could —”
“Pretend to be my fake girlfriend better?” Vi finishes, smirking, even though her stomach flips inside her.
“Yeah… something like that,” you say, snatching your phone back, your eyes downcast.
Vi runs a hand through her hair, fisting it tight enough to sting as she backs towards the door. Her heart is thumping somewhere in the back of her throat, making a truly valiant attempt at leaping from her mouth and all she can think is that she needs to get out of here before she does something that she’s really going to regret.
“So… I should —” she gestures at the door.
“Yeah, it’s late — be careful — do you want me to call you a cab?” You push to your feet even as Vi shakes her head.
“Nah, I’ve — I can jog back — it’s not far —”
“Okay… if you’re sure.”
“I’m sure, princess.”
The silence pools at your feet as you take half a step forward, a hand pressed to your chest, the other behind your back. Vi watches, her whole body tingling as she fumbles for her shoes, a heady drunkenness soaking into her skin that might be just her tiredness catching up with her or something else entirely.
“Kay — I’ll see you.”
You put up a hand and wiggle your fingers. Vi clears her throat as she pulls open the door and slips out, bringing the door shut behind her with a long exhale, sagging against it the second it’s closed.
You hiss out a breath, stumbling forward to press your forehead to the cool metal as Vi closes her eyes, her back braced against it on the other side.
You let your lashes flutter shut just as Vi forces hers open, and both of you murmur at the exact same time —
“Well, fuck.”

I WANNA BE YOUR BOYFIREND! —INO TAKUMA
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS. poor Ino, having to deal with the most blind and oblivious crush... Maybe think abiut getting your eyes n heart checked...
CONTENT. NB!reader. (sorry if it sounds closer to f!) Childhood friends to lovers. Cheesy. Got the photographer! Ino idea from @colonelarr0w ! I asked the anon question on may 4.. Wowzers
WC. 2222! That's so kewl! Ah! Finally reached 2k words and I'm stopping cause this has been in my drafts for too long and I can't seem to add any more words. A/N. Oh boy. I wanted to use his first name (takuma/) but I'm too tired to edit. So I just added tags and posted it.
Ino Takuma was and is your bestest friend.
And you were the person Ino Takuma was hopelessly in love with.
meeting him when you were six and was picked on by a group of boys calling you names. Poor you couldn't do anything but to sniff and feel the tears pooling in your eyes.
2003.
you remember when he rushed to help you, his two small hands occupied with a handful of pebbles, and with those pebbles he threw them as hard as a six year old could, aimed right at the back of the mean group of kids who were tormenting you.
you remember the shocked looked plastered on their faces before screeching and running away from the playground and back to their non-existant parents, too frightened to look back.
you remember your now-best friend walking up to you, acting as cool as he can while he helps you stand up, adding in an " 'r you okay?".
He remembers when you held his hand and asked for him to help you stand up. when you did, you rubbed the tears pricking on your eyes off with your forearm, and with your free arm, you used it to hug him. thanking him while suppressing your hiccups.
He remembers cheekily smiling as his pretty crushmate thanks him like he was their knight in shining armour.
He remembers offering ice cream while pointing at a nearby ice cream stand in order to cheer you up, as his mind believed, "ice cream would solve all problems!" even exclaiming it to you.
He remembers the way your eyes lit up when he did what he did and you nodded in agreement to all of them.
He remembers holding hands with you as you guys walk to the stand to buy twin pops, opening the popsicle and letting you pick what side you want first.
He remembers the two of you counting from one to three before pulling the side of your popsicles towards yourselves. unfortunately for you, your popsicle broke and you had the smaller side.
He remembers offering to switch popsicle sticks instead, sticking the hand holding the bigger popsicle out for you to get.
he remembers when you nodded happily, taking the offered popsicle and giving the smaller one to him, which he accepts as happily.
He remembers the two of you, holding hands once more, walking back to the playground and resting on the playground stairs, starting up a random conversation, exchanging names, then quickly changing topics every two minutes or so.
(he remembers starting a war with you the next day, the enemies being the said bullies.)
He smiles, in his own world— no, in the shared world you and him made, talking about the past with you was always the best.
You sigh and sit up, leaning on his bed's headboard, your eyes darting around his soft bed you both were laying on in search for the remote, but your eyes seem to scan around his room. oops. "enough talking, we should continue watchi— hey!" you shout a little too loudly and ino looks at you with a raised brow.
"what is it?" he calls your name when you don't answer. After another call of your name and you still don't, he decides to look at where you were looking at. and behold, it was his first camera. it was weirdly placed in the front and center of all his other cameras, placed so that it would be the center of attention.) that was placed on his wall shelf.
2007.
It was finally his birthday! he could barely get himself to sleep the night before, too excited for the upcoming event. but in honesty, he was excited on what you would do with him to celebrate! maybe have a food fight? go to the arcade? he doesn't care, as long as you were celebrating with him!
He rushes down the stairs and loudly pushes the door open to run to your meet up spot with him. the playground stairs, the one off-placed stairs that was hidden below the big green slide.
And there you were, sitting on the stairs, holding something behind your back, when you saw him, you waved at him, shouting for him to come quick.
"Happy Birthday, Takuma!" you excitedly clap, but his attention isn't really on you. "Whatcha hidin'?" he asks, not bothering to hide his excited expression. "oh! nothing!" you respond with the same look on your face, only more cruel. "C'mon! Is that a gift? maybe a gift for… you know, somebody's birthday?"
you nod your head up and down before grabbing the gift from your back and placing it on your lap. "I was planning to give this to you a little later, but you can open it now, if you want!" you give the signal for him to get the nicely wrapped gift.
In a flash, Ino sits next to you and grabs the gift, placing it on his lap. "I wrapped it for you! so you better not tear it apart." you warn when his hands start to open the gift. he only scoffs and continues opening the ribbon first. "Of course, madam. i'd never!" he jokes, though true.
After he opens the gift, he exhales out a "woah..". "do you like it, takuma?" you nervously ask as he now holds the small camera you saved up for him.
When he finishes admiring the camera, he wraps one arm around you. "I love it! I promise I'll always take pictures of you using this!"
"You still have this camera?!" all of the sudden you were jumping to reach the old camera. "Surprising how you still remember." Ino thinks aloud before walking over and getting the camera for you.
When he hands it to you, you take it in your hands. "Does it still work?" you ask, your finger hovering over the button that turns on the digital camera, and he only nods.
For an old camera, it barely took any time to load. You stop when it does, clueless. and he realizes that. "need a little help?" you hum, "..How do I see the gallery?"
after he tells you and you figure it out, you run back to his bed to sit and he follows before sitting beside you.
Starting from the first ever photo the camera took, you couldn't help but smile in nostalgia. and your smile infecting him.
The pictures dated from when it was his tenth birthday till the first year of senior high school. one by one you and him skim over the hundred photos.
Majority of the saved pictures were you, it seemed like Ino had a liking in taking stolen pictures of you, too. Whether you were going down the green slide or studying for senior exams.
You notice there were barely any pictures of him saved in the gallery. The few images that you found of him was when he was with you. You either taking the picture yourself and pulling him in the cameras view, or the secretly taken photos you had managed to take of him when he didn't catch you.
He really did take his old promise to heart.
While he and you enjoyed the feeling of thinking about the memories you had made together, the sudden ringing of your phone alarm disrupted you both.
"Ah, shit.. Completely forgot about that." You murmur. You reach for your phone and turn the alarm off as you stand up and take you bag, slinging it over your shoulder.
"Oh? Where 'r you going?" He asks out of curiosity, "sorry, that's a secret!.. Well, sorry Ino. I got to go, I swear we'll finish our movie marathon tomorr ow!" He only nods, and you rush out of his apartment, shouting a "bye!" Out the way.

Ino was no idiot. He knew you were going back to your oh-so lucky partner. The alarm was probably a reminder for an upcoming date.
Talking about your partner..
when your relationship with your significant other went public back in your second year of senior high, you dropped the largest bombshell on everybody you knew or knew you.
on him.
If it wasn't crystal clear, Ino was sooo in love with you it started from a "crushmate" years ago and is still going on as "one and only". heck, everybody knew! it was that crystal clear!
but you, sweet you, was sooo blind! sooo oblivious it even hurt for everyone to watch!
he blames it on himself somebody else confessed to you and took your heart away from his. maybe he didn't show what he felt for you enough. As much as he loved to talk the truth, he was petrified of telling you what he feels, petrified you'd reject him— possibly leave him, even. he knows you would never do that, but the thought that you might makes it that he doesn't want to take his chance.
This doesn't mean he didn't actually show his love to you, he did! he showed his love to you like a photographer would. If there was something people knew, photographers wouldn't waste their effort and time on taking pictures for somebody just for nothing! even if said person was a close friend or family member. but he, he gave his effort and time into taking pictures of you! he even has three cameras devoted to you!
He knows he should've stopped loving you after you were now taken, he knows he should drop the "best friend" title, as as people say, "your lover is your best friend.", that the fact you had a best friend and a partner sounded weird.. he knows he should have tried to kill his feelings off, but he couldn't. he just can't. after all, he was hopelessly in love with you, and when you're hopelessly in love with someone, said someone was the only one you would care about.
˚ ✦ . .   ˚ . . ✦ ˚ . ★⋆. . . .     ˚ *
What Ino expected the next morning when he had just walked out of his bathroom after a morning shower was the continuation of your's and his movie marathon, like you had swore. He definitely did not expect for you to call him, and when he heard your cracked voice silently asking— almost sounding like a plead— if he could come over, he was already going as fast as he could put on clothes while asking you to wait. his mind could only hope to believe thee sound of your voice was due to his or your's phone speaker.
After ten minutes, you hear a knock on your door. so you open your phone and message Ino to "come in, the door is open." the mental exhaustion infecting your body too much so that you don't have the energy to get up from sitting on your living room couch.
You hear him call your name. And there he was, concern clear on his face, his hand holding a plastic bag filled with your favorite snacks. "M' sorry for being late… jus' wanted to buy you a little somethi—oh." before you know it, he was sitting beside you.
When he asked what was wrong, you tried, really tried to tell him the story of it, but with the side effect of your cries, your throat would close, and when it didn't, it stung when you talked. Your best friend noticed and instead told you to tell him after you calmed down, but you 'calming down' didn't seem close. Even when you tried to stop the flowing tears, it was like a broken faucet that wouldn't close.
˚ ✦ . .   ˚ . . ✦ ˚ . ★⋆. . . .     ˚ *
twirling around your full-body mirror, you smile in confidence as you managed to dress and doll yourself up in just an hour, it was one of your biggest accomplishments, really. now all you had to do was to go to their apartment to meet up and go to the date they made for the both of you!
You walk out of your apartment and lock the door. the thought of you and your lover finally on a date after months made you happily walk like red riding hood to the elevator with the happiest aura people could feel and see. it was probably infectious, too.
Walking in the secluded park where your partner had texted you to go to, you were met with surprise when you saw them sitting on a patterned picnic blanket. with somebody else.
You call their name out with a wavering voice.
your "lover" looks behind when they hear their name, and to their own surprise their eyes meet yours. when they quickly stand up, the person besides them look to where they were looking at.
The stranger's face expression changes when your partner shouts out a pet name to call you and now said stranger was the one to shout, pulling and turning your partner to face them before spouting out curses.
you hear your partner exclaim they had texted the wrong number and "It must've had sent it to the both of you!" before everything blurs out.
you were thankful they were fighting instead of looking at you because you ran. you ran as fast as you possibly could, your mind panicking, only thinking of getting back to your apartment as soon as possible. too ashamed to let anyone see you in whatever state you were in.
˚ ✦ . .   ˚ . . ✦ ˚ . ★⋆. . . .     ˚ *

oops my hand slipped and i wrote the meet-cute scene (using Brett's name for now but ofc will change it if i actually decide to write this thing)
“Dude, come on, let’s just go home.”
Tyler shook his head at me. “No way, we’re next in line. Even if you don’t want to meet him, I do.”
I folded my arms and sighed, glancing forward. There he was. To call Brett Goldstein my “celebrity crush” would be an understatement; I was pretty obsessed with the guy. I’d seen every single movie and television show he’d been in or wrote, watched his standup specials multiple times, and listened to his podcast religiously. Part of it was because he was so clever, and funny, and thoughtful no matter what the project was; I freely admitted that the other reason was because he was absolutely gorgeous.
Over the last three years Tyler had indulged me a lot. Lots of nights spent watching my favorite movies on repeat and getting the pizza toppings I wanted, or avoiding places that made my heart ache to think about even though they used to be our favorite spots, or even joining that book club that we both quit within a week. That was the main reason we were at Brett Goldstein’s comedy show; Tyler had bought us tickets for the show the moment they went on sale, before I even had to ask. And now he’d insisted on getting in line for the meet-and-greet after the show.
“Next!”
My breath hitched when I saw those brown eyes turn in my direction and light up.
Tyler shoved me forward with a chuckle. “Dude, go.”
Brett Goldstein smiled and stuck his hand out. “Hi, thanks for coming.”
“H-hi,” I choked out, forcing myself to take his hand. “You were great,” I managed to add, still shaking his hand. “Really, really great.”
Damn. I was just losing myself in those brown eyes and that smile. It was as if I’d forgotten every word I knew; I hadn’t had a moment like that in a long time. As always, Tyler intervened to save my ass.
“You know, she wants you to be her next husband,” he pipped up, smirking. “After the death of husband number one.” So much for saving my ass.
Brett broke eye contact to raise his thick eyebrows at Tyler. “Oh, so I’ve just got to wait for you to get cancer or some shit, then?” he teased.
There it was. I cleared my throat. “Oh, no, he’s not my husband, that’s my best friend.” I finally dropped his hand and rubbed the back of my neck. “My, um, husband passed away three years ago. From cancer, actually.”
The look on Brett Goldstein’s face was familiar: the creased eyebrows, the pity in his eyes, the mouth formed into an O. I’d seen it a lot in the last few years, and now it was on the face of my biggest crush. Nice.
“Oh fuck,” he groaned. “I’m so sorry. I’m an asshole.”
“It’s fine,” I assured him in that awkward, reassuring voice I’d perfected from all the times I’d had this same conversation with everyone from relatives to coworkers to my mail carrier. “I’m fine.”
He shook his head. “No, um, let me buy you a drink.” He waved at one of the club employees who scurried over. “Hey, these two are with me, okay? Anything they want, on my tab.” He turned back to us. “Seriously, anything you want, on me. Take full advantage of my guilt.”
“You really don’t have to-”
Tyler gripped my shoulder. “Let the nice Emmy-award winner buy us some drinks,” he hissed. “And maybe some nachos.”
Brett nodded, taking my hand again and giving it a firm shake. “Please. Let me buy you some nachos.”
Okay. Fine. With those eyes and that half smile on his face, that man could buy me all the nachos he wanted.
I rolled my eyes in defeat, my own smile forming. “Fine. Thank you.”
He gave my hand a small squeeze before letting go. “Thank you.”

can you recommend any American historical romance novels (not like…Westerns, I’m thinking more like….Vanderbilt, Edwardian era, if that makes sense?) bc I have such a hard time finding them but I think you’ve recommended a few once upon a time
Yeah, for sure!
What I think you're looking for especially is the Gilded Age, which was that amazing time when New York City was the center of the universe, everyone was spending money left and right, there was a very exclusive, unofficial club called "the Four Hundred", which was predicated on this concept (proposed by a Southerner, not a New Yorker) that there were really only 400 truly fashionable people in the city. Orgies were had, horses were brought into ballrooms. It was LUXE.
The reigning queen of Gilded Age romance is for sure Joanna Shupe, one of my all-time favorite romance novelists. Her first three historicals are traditional England books (and they're very good) but since then, aside from a few novellas here and there, she pretty much exclusively writes Gilded Age. I have not read all of them, but only because I've been saving some of her backlist (and good thing, because she's taking this year off from full-length historicals).
I've read and would recommend:
Magnate--this is the first full book in her Knickerbocker Club series, which is basically four dudes doing mean rich man shit in various industries while getting kicked in the balls by love. The hero is a self-made man who ends up compromising the sister of one of the other guys in the club, and the beef is REAL between these dudes. Anyway, heroine is kind of okay with marrying him until she overhears at the wedding!!! That her brother basically forced the marriage. And then she's all HONEYMOON'S OVER!!! I DEMAND AN ANNULMENT!!!! It's not super complicated, but I found it really engaging and romantic.
Also, the heroine is delightfully dickmatized. There's a scene where the hero is like "I have these scars on my back because when I worked in a factory I got hit by a giant falling pipe, but the pipe was only falling because I did shitty work in an effort to get off the clock quickly and run to my favorite brothel". And she's like "oh. You POOR man!!!"
Uptown Girls--A trilogy about three sisters whose father is rich and one of the most influential people in New York Society.
First book is eldest daughter/daddy's lawyer (fixer) who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks; second is middle daughter/casino owner she asks to mentor her in running a casino, and he's like "sure" when really he wants REVEEEENGE upon her father; third book is youngest daughter (goody two shoes)/gangster who finds himself completely gut punched by her.
Fifth Avenue Rebels--A four-book series about a cluster of people (human disasters) falling in love. The first book takes place at a house party in Newport wherein shit goes the fuck down, and a lot of what spins out afterwards can be linked back to the party.
First book is childhood friends to lovers after the hero realizes said friend is about to get engaged to a handsome, absolute 10/10 (completely broke) duke; second book is a seduction lessons book in which the sluttiest guy in the series agrees to teach the shyest girl how to be hot in exchange for recipes from her chef so that he can start a supper club and become a real boy; third book is an enemies to lovers "oops we hooked up" book about a ruthless businessman and the woman who thought they were gonna get arranged married, but he's like "no" and she's like "WOOOOW" but then they hook up at a masked sex party that was in fact a real Gilded Age event; fourth book lets us know that stuffy 10/10 perfect duke actually likes it rough and has been having a back and forth with the wild child girl of the group, and now they're in an enemies to lovers dance that is sure to leave both of them CRUSHED.
She has another full Gilded Age series, the Four Hundred, but I've been saving that. Will probs read soon.
Harper St. George writes Gilded Age as well. Haven't read, will read, have heard good things about it.
Beverly Jenkins does write westerns, but she also writes Reconstruction books, and really hits a lot of different parts of America and time periods. I would recommend trying To Catch A Raven, a heist book she has wherein the leads have to pretend to be married to like? Steal back the Declaration of Independence? And of course, there's the classic Indigo, wherein the heroine works in the Underground Railroad and meets the hero right after he's had the shit beaten out of him. She nurses him back to health, he turns out to be a total rake type, and they have this long, epic, angsty love story. Deals a lot with the subject of slavery, so heads up, but I find it absolutely gorgeous.

An introduction to an old, abandoned wip
Hey everyone! Today's post is going to be a bit of a mess considering I don't actually have a lot of info about this wip with me right now... oops. This wip was one of the first major universes I ever made (covid was rough, guys. I had a lot of time on my hands), but after starting work on some other wips like Eons or tWoA, I did something I don't usually do: forget pretty much everything about this story's plot. I just remember that it was interesting, so recently I've been trying to revive it some! Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
Galactica in a nutshell
This wip, Galactica (this is a placeholder but we'll use it for now), is somewhat like my tWoA wip in that it takes place in a universe where humans/humanoids inhabit multiple planets/solar systems. In Galactica, the focus is on our own solar system - known as the Copernican System - and the relationships mainly between the leaders of the planets & their friends/allies. In Galactica, they have a rather complicated magic system that started out simply consisting of angels & demons and quickly spiraled out of control. You will see more what I mean below.
Tumblr media
Characters + their purposes
The characters I remember the most about are Louis, Jacque, Rose, Zach, and a character I've given the placeholder name Bracket (or []) because I cannot remember his name. There are many more characters, but these five are some of the main ones. Bracket/[] is the king of one of Earth's kingdoms, Spiriton, largely recognized as the "evil kingdom" for the fact that it is largely made up of either fallen angels or demons (I can't remember). Louis Hynes is Bracket's best friend & confidant (and former crush, though Bracket really would rather if we didn't get into that) as well as the general of Spiriton's army. I don't remember his species/magic type, but there's a good chance he's either a fallen angel or an angel. (Watch him be neither.) He's also my first aroace character! Jacque is the king of Dea Tacita (better known simply as Tacita), the ninth and largest planet in the Copernican System. He's mostly considered dark, mysterious, and powerful - unless you know him, in which case you are well aware that he is a dramatic mope who wishes he never broke up with Bracket. Rose is a dark angel and Zach's half sister. I don't remember much else about her other than the fact that she's mute and she was one of my favorite characters. Zach is the delinquent of the friend group, recently released from juvie after nearly killing a teacher at his old school when he realized that they'd been accepting bribes to give rich students better grades. He, like Rose, is also a dark angel.
Tumblr media
A basic guide to the magic system (because I forgot most of it)
In the Galactica universe, there are many, many different magic types (as you saw above). Here's a very, very basic guide to them!
→ Angels ↪ Angels are the most basic magic type, also known as the "default". Their color is sky blue. → Demons ↪ Demons are relatively uncommon nowadays, and they're not very important to the story as there aren't many of them left. "Half-breeds" such as fallen angels are usually considered more dangerous. Their color is black. → Fallen angels ↪ Fallen angels are one of the most common magic types. They come from one angel and one demon parent and though they used to be outcast from society, they're so common now that this doesn't really happen. Their color is white. → Dark angels ↪ Dark angels are considered the most dangerous magic type as they're extremely rare. Their magic is largely undocumented, though some say it's "unpredictable". Their color is maroon. → Light angels ↪ Light angels are a rare but harmless magic type known for having powers surrounding, unsurprisingly, light. Their color is yellow. → Broken light angels ↪ Broken (or fallen) light angels are another rare magic type, though their magic is mostly documented and they're considered fairly harmless. They have one angel or fallen angel parent and one light angel parent, and their powers often have to do with creatures (such as fireflies) that emit light. They often have familiars that appear as small, humanoid figures made of light. Their color is a yellow to sky blue gradient. → Forest sprites ↪ Forest sprites, or "green angels", are yet another rare magic type. They are also harmless. Their magic centers around plants and woodland animals, such as birds or squirrels. Their color is green.
Tumblr media
I know there are many other characters in this universe - and I'm sure there's at least one other magic type, because I'm vaguely remembering something purple - but I wanted to get this account rolling, so I'm going to post this as is and post an updated intro soon :) Until then, stay safe & stay creative!

#6
No random thought this time, sorry to disappoint! Obviously we can still treat this like a little sit down and time to calm down, a cup of tea and biscuit. Jaffa cake by preference, or anything without milk in (dairy allergy you see). Sit down next to the fire, grab a good book and cast the occasional melancholy glance out the window at the rain soaked valley as the gentle tones of some ballad wash over you. Maybe Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head or Radiohead's Hail to the Thief? They're the albums that spring to mind when I think of nice mellow albums that take me back to when I was young, times were simpler, I still had a Beano subscription and lego was always strewn across the floor. Anyway, I hope that gets you into a nice, calm, nostalgic mood. Ready for my life update?
So, there are three people who are interested in me and one who I'm interested in. And the one is not part of the three to make things extra complicated. Let's dive into the three first of all: firstly we have a guy I met at uni whom shares a few mutual friends from back home- small world or what? He's very cute, I've been over to his place a few times, made out, hand stuff but we agreed no relationship. Until a couple of nights ago when he told me how he really feels. So much for a casual relationship of pure fun.
Next we have a girl who claims to have "fallen in love" with me. She's from back home and we dated for a weeks before I went to uni, we thought we could handle long distance. I ended up making out with quite a few people and I broke it off. I come back from uni for a new year's party, end up making out with her for a few hours, confusing us both and now she's pining after me again. Fuck. And I have no idea how I feel about her, she thinks along the same wavelength as me, it's scary but so nice since she actually gets me like no one else (except maybe my brother).
Last of the three we have another girl from back home who confessed she has a crush on me. I guess I just can't help being so irresistible. Just joking, I probably would've made a move if I didn't think that she was gay (she just gave off those vibes, oops).
So there we have the complex situation that is my love life right now and I really can't be dealing with it right now. I have no idea what the fuck I'm looking for/ meant to be doing, let alone having to deal with someone else's emotions. Sorry but I'm not getting into the girl who I'm currently infatuated interested in. Wayyyy too many emotions there and no one wants to have to try and wade through all the waffle and pining and post-teen angst that is my feelings for her (if you really do, send me £10, I'll be happy to explain :) (what can I say, I'd do pretty much anything for £10, I'm a student, there's no shame left))
Longer post than usual, hope someone reads it so I'm not just writing into an abyss. Gonna try some new tags, let's see what happens

You can do this - husband!ron x pregnant!reader
While spending the weekend with your friends and your husband, Ron, at the weasleys burrow, you go into labour.
Words: 777
“Ronnie, could you get me a mop?” you peaked your head around the corner from the kitchen to see your husband with his friends.
“Y/n your like a million months pregnant you should not be mopping,” Ginny said getting up to help you.
“I can do it myself, I’m not helpless”
“Why do you need a mop darling?” Ron asked leaving his conversation with Hermione and Harry.
“Oh my water broke in the kitchen and I dont want the wood to warp.”
There was a moment of silence before a burst of confused yelling shook the burrow.
A flurry of ‘WHAT’s and ‘OH MY GOD’s filled the house as you stood there, holding your large belly, unphased, waiting for your friends to calm down.
“Oh, could someone also make me a cuppa tea, since your all standing now?”
Ron marched towards you with a shocked expression locked on his face. “How are you not freaking out right now?”
“Well I know I’ve been a little moody recently but I’m not gonna snap at you guys for not instantly giving me tea.”
“No darling, I’m talking about you going into labour,” he took your hands in his.
“Oh please, I haven’t even had a contractiIIIIOOOOONn yet” in the middle of your sentence you felt a tight pain in your abdomen, squeezing Ron’s hands as you spoke.
“I think that was a contraction y/n,” Hermione added
“YA THINK” Ron’s face was scrunched in pain, “SHE JUST CRUSHED MY HANDS”
“Alright, we need to go to the hospital.” Ginny said firmly
“What? Why? I barely crushed his hands. He’s being dramatic.”
“No not for Ron.”
“Oh, no did someone get hurt?”
“FOR YOU!” your friends chorused, yelling in frustration.
“I feel like you should sit down,” Harry said utterly baffled by the series of events that are taking place.
“How about we go outside, it’s such a nice day.” You walked outside before anyone could say anything. Making your way to one of the trees in the Weasleys backyard. A feeling you recognized slowly started creeping up your stomach as you gripped a nearby tree branch for support. You yelled as you were hit with another contraction. Squeezing the scraggly branch you were holding onto until it snapped.
“Merlin y/n!” Harry stood there in shock refusing to step closer to you as bent down in pain.
“Oops.”
“OOPS?! That’s it, we’re going to the hospital whether you like it or not.” Ron grabbed your wrist and tried to take you inside but was interrupted.
“NO I’M NOT GOING!”
He furrowed his brow, looking back at you in complete confusion and frustration.
“I can’t do this Ron,” the panic that everyone was anticipating had finally bubbled to the surface. “I can’t do this, I’m not strong enough.”
Ron’s face softened, he brought his hand up to your cheek. “I hate to break it to you, but you just crushed a branch off of a tree with one hand. You’re the strongest person I know. If anyone can do this, it’s you.”
Tears blurred your vision, “But Ron, what if I’m bad at it?”
“Bad at what?”
“Being a mom. What if I push this stupid creature out of me and he hates me?”
“y/n you have nothing to worry about, he’s not gonna hate you. I mean look at my family, we are obsessed with our mom. We’re just a bunch of mommas boys.”
“Ya but that makes sense, Mollys nice. Im a bitch!”
“You are not a bitch.”
“I’m a bitch and that’s why you married me.”
“Fair enough.” Ron placed his hands on your stomach. You looked deep into his eyes, hoping that your son would end up with his gorgeous blue irises. Before you remembered the amount of pain you would be in.
“I’m scared,” you whispered.
“Would it help if I kicked Harry in the nuts?”
“Woah Woah Woah what do I have to do with this!?!” Harry quickly covered his nether regions with his hands to protect them from the threat his best friend just bestowed onto him.
You laughed at your husband’s attempt to try and make you feel better.
“No you are going to the hospital and nobody is getting kicked in the balls,” Hermione added trying to prevent anyone from getting hurt.
“Oh please, we dont need to go to the hospital yet, it’s 9 AM. Let’s be real, a kid me and Ron made would never be birthed in the morning-” the moment you finished your sentence you were struck with another blinding pain even worse than the ones before. “Ok, maybe the hospital is a good idea.”

((also I had to colour-code it bc it's all dialogue, but let me know if it's easier in b/w!))
‘Dooon’t you worry, guys, I’m the protector here, everything’s gonna be-- argh! Shit, false alarm.’
‘Real brave, dude, real brave.’
‘What are you doing, these are buttered! Get it off, Ryan!’
‘Shh-shh! Shhh! Here it comes, guys--’
‘I said get it OFF! Seriously!’
‘What’s the matter, Miss Butterpants?’
‘You NUMBNUT, that’s my designer’s--’
‘Shut it! I’m here for the corny dialogues in the film, not yours.’
‘Boo-hoo, Captain Hook, the crying sofa is in another room.’
‘Corny enough, Kat? How ‘bout more corn?’
‘I’M SERIOUS, God! You’re a hog, Ryan!’
‘…oh no.’
‘She didn’t.’
‘God, no…’
‘Oh, yes, she did.’
‘NO! I didn’t! I did not!’
‘She SO did!’
‘I’m gonna kill you two little…’
‘THE HOG!’
‘OF HACKETT’S QUARRY! Bwaaaaaa!’
‘Why, God? Why?’
‘…dude.’
‘What?’
‘…dude.’
‘Shut it, Jimi Hendrix, go play your imaginary guitar with your imaginary hand. RYAN, STOP WITH THE POPCORN!’
‘…dude, was that your hog sound? So lame.’
‘Turn your head and watch a movie, numbnut.’
‘What-nut?’
‘Dude, not cool.’
‘They are kinda numb…’
‘Oh my god.’
‘…cause you’re sitting on me, Thumbelina.’
‘Nope, not reacting to that.’
‘One more popped corn and your weight is gonna crush me down.’
‘One more word and I’ll pop your eye with my thumb, how about that?’
‘Guys, we missed like half the plot already.’
‘Oh right, so who’s the monster?’
‘I will be, if Ryan doesn’t stop pouring buttered popcorn all over my designer blouse! QUIT IT!’
‘Shush! Also, Ryan, buddy, my leg went numb thanks to Thumbelina over here.’
‘So?’
‘So move your ass! I need space!’
‘Use the space previously taken by your hand. Easy enough.’
‘That’s… low. Even for you, dude.’
‘Life’s not fair. Hey-- Hey. What are you doing?’
‘Avenging my Alexander Wang, you hog.’
‘…OF HACKETT’S QUARRY!’
‘…OF HACKETT’S QUARRY!’
‘Oh, god…’
‘Wait, is he a friend of yours?’
‘Dylan, honey, was your brain also in your hand what it got chopped off? My blouse. My blouse is by Alexander Wang.’
‘Ooh, someone’s touchy.’
‘Oh yeah? How much did it cost?’
‘Are we watching the film or not?’
‘Seriously, how much, Kaitlyn?’
‘Literally free, go eat your popcorn.’
‘If he can get it from under the shirt.’
‘First of all, is that where my safe-net fund go after you said you were too broke to chip in for pizza? And second of all… du-ude! Are you trying to make me lose the shirt?’
‘Yeah, Dyl, are you?’
‘Oh no, oh no-no-no, you can’t throw me under the bus, Kat.’
‘I can and I will the first chance I have.’
‘I’m always trying to make Ryan lose his shirt. But you, sweetums?’
‘Ew, it shouldn’t even be a word!’
‘You, sweetums, robbed our precious Ryan to buy a des shirt?’
‘I did n--’
‘UP TOP!’
‘Oh, god.’
‘I’m so proud of you. Not you, Ryan, you’re a gullible patsy. But we love you the way you are.’
‘Aww, gee, thanks.’
‘Yes, because you give us money. UP TOP!’
‘UP TOP!’
‘I hate you both.’
‘No, you don’t. Now seriously, get Thumbelina off my lap, I’ve at least one case of a numb nut.’
‘You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone, prick.’
‘Oof!’
‘Ouch! What are you--’
‘Sweet freedom!’
‘God, do you even have meat on your bones?’
‘Yeah, if you wiggle your ass more, you’ll definitely find it.’
‘Ew, gross.’
‘GUYS GUYS GUYS, the music! It’s on!’
‘Oh, right! Is that the monster?’
‘What are we watching again?’
‘Ah, who cares.’
‘What’s that one’s name?’
‘Stop wiggling, seriously!’
‘I’m sitting on a pile of popcorn, dude. That’s so ruined.’
‘SHUT IT! They’re gonna show the monster soon! Hear that? Dun-dun-dun, DUN-DUUUUN!’
‘Isn’t she, like, the main damsel in distress?’
‘Yes, that’s THE WHOLE POINT!’
‘She’s a damsel, she’s in distress, she’s gonna get eaten.’
‘Wow. Insightful. Thanks, Ryan the cinema expert.’
‘Oh my god, somebody hold my hand!’
‘Which one?’
‘You’re lucky I’m too emotionally invested to hit you, so just… okay??’
‘Ryan, hold his hand, I’m busy.’
‘Doing what exactly?’
‘Watching, duh.’
‘Oh, my-- Come one, dude. Aren’t you supposed to protect us from the atrocities of the classic horror movie night?’
‘Again, I’m too emotionally invested to—AAH OH MY GOOD!’
‘WHAT THE FUCK?!’
‘Shit, shit, SHIT! RYAN!’
‘I can’t hold both of you!’
‘YOU GOTTA!’
‘What the FUCK?!’
‘Fucking werewolves! GOD!’
‘Who DOES that?!’
‘It’s literally called THE WOLF MAN, DUDE!!! Didn’t you at least check what was on?!’
‘Unbelievable!’
‘Who’s got the remote, quick!’
‘Fucking werewolves! Grrr-ah!’
‘Okay-okay-okay, it’s under me! It’s under me! Or Kaitlyn!’
‘I’m under Kaitlyn, man!’
‘Oh shit, I got it, I got it! Oof, fuckity-bye, creepy 1940s wolf… people.’
‘…’
‘…’
‘…’
‘So… call it a night?’
‘Yeah, neat idea.’
‘I’m not letting go of you two.’
‘Come on.’
‘We’re leaving the lights on, right?’
‘Er…’
‘Ryan, not now. Dylan, yes we are.’
‘…’
‘I am SERIOUSLY never letting go of you two.’
‘Neither am I!’
‘Neither am I.’
‘Good, agreed. Nighty-night, then.’
‘…’
‘…’
‘…’
‘Fucking werewolves.’

Akaashi
Tumblr media
Excitement bubbled in your stomach as you checked your appearance in the mirror.
“How do I look?” you teasingly asked your boyfriend. Looking up from his phone, his face immediately formed into a smile.
“Ethereal,” Akaashi replied, taking in your appearance. You giggle as you walked over to where he was sitting on your shared bed, wrapping your arms around his waist, snuggling into his chest. His scent filled your nostrils as you felt his hand reach up to smooth your hair. Warmth spread through your body.
“You ready to go then?” Akaashi asked you.
“Ready when you are,” you replied, tilting your head to meet his gaze. His eyes filled with adoration.
“Let’s go then.”
༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
The two of you were seated in a nice cafe, hunger satiated as the two of you talked. Your conversations were filled with smiles and laughter. Yet Akaashi’s smiles never seemed to truly reach his eyes. How could they when nothing but guilt filled his mind, when evidence of a drunken escapade was marked on his body?
Akaashi had noticed your intense gaze on his neck, shifting uncomfortably. Panic and dread rose to his throat at the thought of there being a hickey on his neck from the night before. Despite checking in the mirror countless times, he still couldn’t help but feel panicked at the thought of missing one.
“Is everything okay, y/n?” Akaashi tentatively asked, rubbing his hand over his neck. Snapped out of your trance, you meet his eyes before laughing it off.
“Yeah, just zoning out,” you tried to laugh off. You couldn’t shake it from your head. That couldn’t have been a hickey. Even if it was, Akaashi wouldn’t be so careless to not cover it, right? Unless he wanted you to see it. Tears pricked at your eyes. You quickly excused yourself to the bathroom, not wanting Akaashi to see your tears.
As soon as you left his sight, Akaashi hurriedly checked his camera on his phone to see what you were staring at. Sure enough, a purple splotch was peeking out from underneath his shirt. Akaashi cursed as he wracked his mind with what to do. All he could come up with was pulling his shirt collar to one side.
His heart hammered in his chest. Would you break up with him when you came out of the bathroom? He felt his heart crumble at the thought of you leaving him. Akaashi was hoping he would eventually forget about his mistake and move on with his life with you. He just wanted to move onto the moment he got down on one knee, the moment the two of you would buy a house for the first time, the moment you held your children in your arms. He just needed to get past this moment.
He knew as soon as he saw you walk out of the bathroom. Your red eyes and blotchy cheeks gave it away. You saw, and now you knew how shitty of a person he was.
Silence enveloped the two of you as you sat back down.
“So you saw,” Akaashi confirmed. All you could do was nod in response.
“Wh-what do you want to do now?” Akaashi choked out. He truly didn’t want to lose you. It was like living in a nightmare, but the most he could do now was respect your wishes.
“I-” you started off, taking a breath before continuing, “I want to go back to the apartment.”
Akaashi silently nodded in understanding before gathering his things and leaving to pay. You buried your face in your hands, not fully grasping the situation at hand. Why was he acting so guilty? This was Akaashi, your boyfriend since your third year at high school. Never once did you doubt the love you held for each other during your relationship.
“C’mon, y/n, let’s go,” Akaashi said, tentatively reaching his hand out to you. You debated whether or not you should take it, still unsure of everything going on. Finally, you gave him, letting his long fingers intertwined with yours. You almost wanted to laugh at how easily your unease washed away at his touch, how you immediately felt comforted, when the man who made you feel this way had traces of another on his skin.
The two of you drove in silence, neither one of you sure of what to say in this situation. Confusion swarmed Akaashi’s mind. You obviously saw the hickey on his neck, yet you weren’t lashing out, demanding to break up with him. Yet he could see you were visibly troubled, your history and past with him getting in the way of your rationality. Guilt and shame pooled in Akaashi’s stomach. He shouldn’t be using his familiarity with you as a way to keep you with him. He was unfaithful, and deserved all the consequences. He knew that, no matter how heart wrenching it was to have you leave him.
Silence continued to envelop the two of you as you walked up to your shared apartment. As soon as you entered the threshold of your home, Akaashi attempted to start some sort of conversation.
“Y/n, I think we need-” Akaashi attempted to start.
“Baby, I’m really tired, can this wait till after I take a nap,” you cut him off. Maybe if you continued to pretend you saw nothing, that this was just another day, everything would be okay. You and Akaashi would be okay.
“You can’t just ignore what just happened, y/n!” Akaashi reasoned. Your detachment from the situation honestly scared him a bit. He would’ve expected you to demand him to move out, maybe even a smack across the face, but your reaction was unexpected and unsettling.
“Nothing’s wrong, Akaashi,” you said, tears beginning to pool, “I still love you, and you love me, right?”
“Y/n-” Akaashi started, “of course I love you, which is why I can’t stand to see you like this! I fucking cheated on you! I don’t deserve your love! You shouldn’t be forgiving me! I don’t deserve you anymore!”
Tears began streaming down your face at his words.
“No, no no no, Akaashi, no! We’re supposed to be together! You wouldn’t hurt me like that, Akaashi, you love me too much to do that to me!” You tried to reason. Deep down, you knew. Even if the two of you somehow got past this moment, new insecurities from this moment would arise. Your relationship would never be the same.
“Y/n! Get it through your fucking head! I cheated on you! I’m a fucking scumbag who forgot how fucking amazing you are! I’m the asshole here! You can’t just forgive me like this! How are you going to forgive me when I’m never going to forgive myself?!” Akaashi’s voice broke at the end.
“Akaashi, stop it! There’s no proof!” You yelled back, not wanting reality to hit. Your eyes widened when Akaashi moved to pull his shirt over his head.
“Is this proof enough?” Akaashi started, “What will it take for you to realize? Did you want me to call them up? Have them tell you? Y/n, please, don’t put yourself through this! Fucking wake up and realize!”
You collapsed to the ground, sobbing as you took in his appearance. Hickeys littered his neck and chest, red scratches on his shoulders. It finally hit you. Akaashi cheated on you. He left you for another.
“Why? Why did you have to ruin this, Akaashi!” you yelled, “was this not enough?”
“I don’t know, y/n,” Akaashi began breaking down, “I regret all of it. I would give anything to turn the clock back, but I can’t! This is reality, and we both have to face it whether we like it or not!”
Pain flared in Akaashi’s chest as your eyes met his. He watched as the love you held for him slowly dissolved from your eyes. His heart fell into pieces as you walked into your shared bedroom, only to emerge moments later with a small duffle bag. He recognized it. It was the duffle bag you used when the two of you took trips. You were leaving.
Tears freely flowed down Akaashi’s face as you wordlessly brushed past him, nothing sounding in the room except your hiccups.
“Y/n,” Akaashi started, “where are you going?”
“Away,” you replied, giving no other explanation. The coldness and sadness in your voice sent knives into Akaashi’s heart, but it’s what he deserved. He couldn’t beg for your love again, or have the right to yearn for your warm embrace. He’s the one who ruined everything, so Akaashi could do nothing but helplessly watch you walk away from him, leaving him alone in a cold apartment.

Hinata
Tumblr media
“Y/n~” Your boyfriend whined, plopping his head into your lap. Your hand instinctively went to comb through his orange hair.
“What’s up?” You replied, not looking up from your phone screen. Your eyes finally met his, however, when he pushed away your hands, forcing you to look at him. One look at his pleading eyes was all it took for your heart to melt.
“Can we please go out today? The weather looks so nice,” Hinata pleaded, “Don’t you want to go to the beach?”
“But I just want to watch Netflix,” you whined.
“C’mon, baby. Please?” Hinata looked at you, bottom lip sticking out, “Let’s go outside and enjoy the sun! We can buy ice cream!”
You hesitated for a second.
“Ice cream and smoothies,” you said, “and we go to the mall tomorrow.”
Hinata sent you the brightest smile.
“Deal!”
༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
“Ugh, y/n, I love you so much,” Hinata mumbled out around a mouthful of ice cream. Giggling, you wiped the corner of his mouth.
“I love you too, baby,” you cooed back, heart swelling at the sight of his smile. Hinata didn’t understand how you still managed to give him butterflies after five years of dating, but he wasn’t complaining. The way your eyes crinkled and your nose scrunched when you laughed made him feel warm inside, and he wouldn’t trade you for the world.
“You know, I’ve been thinking a lot, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life like this with you,” you said, eyes shining with adoration as you looked at your boyfriend. The amount of love you held for the spiker in front of you was unexplainable. All you knew is he made you feel like you were on top of the world, the only thing that mattered to him.
Gasping dramatically, Hinata replied, “That’s insane, because I’ve been thinking that too!”
“Stop teasing me,” you laughed off. Hinata’s chuckles blended with yours. The spiker’s joy was cut off as guilt began rising in his stomach. Of course he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. You were his everything, the reason he felt like he could breathe easier, the reason everything in his world was so bright. But he knew he wasn’t faithful during your relationship. Hinata didn’t even know how it happened. All he remembered was waking up in a hotel room, his legs tangled with another’s. He remembered the feeling of his stomach plummeting to his feet once he saw the mangled marks on his back.
Hinata was pulled out of his thoughts by your voice.
“Is that Bokuto?” You questioned, gaze pointed at the sandy beach. Sure enough, the wing spiker along with Atsumu were there, standing on opposite sides of a volleyball net.
“Yeah, Kageyama and Hoshiumi are there too!” Hinata excitedly pointed out, already walking towards the volleyball match. You recognized a couple of other players standing around the area.
Hinata bounded towards them, yelling out, asking if he could join. You laughed as you watched him immediately settle into a disagreement with Kageyama before he came running back towards you.
“Y/n!” Hinata panted out, “I know this was supposed to be a date, but do you mind if I play a couple matches?”
You giggled as you saw the excitement shining in his eyes.
“It’s no problem, I’ll just go shopping around the boardwalk! Call me when you’re done, but don’t play for too long,” you said, giving him a peck on the cheek.
“Yes! You’re the best! I love you,” Hinata said as he enveloped you in a hug before taking his shirt off and running back to the volleyball net. Your eyes immediately fell on his shoulders.
“Shoyo, what’s on your back?”
Hinata stopped in his tracks as his stomach fell to his feet. He had completely forgotten about the evidence of his infidelity on his back. The prospect of playing beach volleyball with his friends overtook his rationality, and now he was paying the price for it. He whipped around, eyes now wide, panic replacing the excitement that was there moments before. The hurt swimming in your eyes was enough to make his heart shatter.
“Y/n, I-” Hinata breathed out, unable to form a complete sentence. The spiker felt his knees go weak as he watched you turn around and walk away from him, shoulders shaking. It wasn’t until he heard you say, ‘I won’t be going back to the apartment tonight, don’t wait up’ that he scrambled for his shirt, shoving it over his head as he attempted to catch up to you.
“Y/n, please wait! Let me explain-” Hinata ran after you. He stopped in his tracks, eyes wide, when you turned around. Nothing but hurt blazed in your eyes as you looked him in the eyes.
“Explain what, Hinata? Did you want to go into detail about how you fucked someone else? Was simply cheating on me not enough? You don’t get to hurt me more than you already have,” you spewed back at him, venom laced in your words. Hinata’s face crumpled into sobs.
“No, y/n, that’s not it at all. I never wanted to hurt you, not ever! I’m so pathetic! I can’t even remember how it happened. It never should have happened, I can’t lose you like this,” Hinata sobbed, falling to his knees at your feet. The thought of losing you sent Hinata’s mind into a panic. His hands scrambled to find yours, clasping to them for dear life. You scoffed at his actions.
“Get up,” you said, looking away from his figure. Hinata hopefully looked up, hoping you would give him the chance to make it up to you. His hopes were shattered, however, when he met your eyes. Instead of the care and affection he was hoping to see, he was met with nothing but embarrassment and putrid hate.
“You’re making a scene. People are staring,” you said, looking around you, “I told you, I’m not going back to the apartment tonight. I’ll grab my stuff later.”
“I’m sorry,” Hinata choked out, “I’m so sorry for everything. Please, you deserve better. Someone who won’t forget what he has in front of him. Someone who will cradle your heart and give you everything you deserve. I love you, y/n. I’m so sorry.”
“I wish I could believe you when you say ‘I love you’, but we both know it’s not true at this point. No loving boyfriend would cheat,” you said lowly, energy drained from the situation.
“No, y/n. Please, if anything, trust that I love you with all of my being, and I would do anything to try and fix this. I can’t imagine my life without you, let me fix this!” Hinata sobbed.
“You should’ve thought about that before you ruined everything,” you said as you looked into his eyes. Tears pooled in both of your eyes. The hurt and regret was evident on the spiker’s face, but you couldn’t give in.
“Goodbye, Hinata.”

Hooked
introduction pt. i | pt. ii | pt. iii
ch. vii - the merger
<< previous | masterlist | next >>
??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?
Tumblr media
"Uhh... guys, my friends are coming over, is that cool?" You asked after putting your phone into the back pocket of your jeans.
Everyone of them nodded in agreement except for San who was ready to combust, "JONGHO'S GONNA COME!?" he squeaked. Yes. Squeaked in utter excitement.
You raised an eyebrow in amusement, "yeah... obviously, you got a little crush or something?" You smirked at him. San shook his head quickly, "oh no, more like starstruck, he's a legend," he fawned.
Confused, you look at the other boys to get an explanation.
Suddenly, a hand rested itself around your shoulder and when you look up, you saw Wooyoung gulping a beer before answering you, "San's got a thing for shitty one hit wonders, so just go with it," he chuckled.
You didn't even realize that Wooyoung still had an arm around you until Seonghwa pointed it out, snickering at you, "you know, for a fake couple you both are sure comfortable with each other quick," Wooyoung raised an eyebrow at the older male, "why ? Jealous ?" He smirked, poking fun at Seonghwa.
The lack of answer from Seonghwa seemed to answered just enough for everyone. Everyone hollered and poked fun at the oldest, including you.
"So much for keeping things between you, me, and San," you muttered jokingly to Wooyoung who in return nudge your shoulder with his, "hey, they're my brothers and don't act like you didn't tell your friends too," he smirked. You rolled your eyes at him and shrugged, "fair point, but at least my boys can keep their mouth shut,"
Suddenly loud bangings from the front door was heard, halting everyone's movements for a bit.
"Oops, sorry, that's probably Mingi and Jongho," you smiled sheepishly, removing yourself from Wooyoung's side (much to his dismay) to open up the door.
The second you unlocked the door and opened it, a huge body crash itself onto you, "THANK GOD YOU'RE OKAY! I WAS WORRIED!!" Mingi wailed as he began planting kisses all over your face, making you giggle and Jongho groan, "ugh, save it for when you're both alone,"
You walked in to the living area where all the other boys were with Mingi clinging himself onto your back and you latching your pinkies with Jongho.
The three of you stood in front of the boys, your two best friends waiting to be introduced, "so... this is Mingi," you said, patting Mingi's head that's leaned onto yours as his chin is resting on your shoulder, "we go waaaaaay back to the first day of freshmen orientation, and this is Jongho, he accelerated a grade back in middle school and we met at psych 101, boys, these are Wooyoung's friends," you introduced.
Suddenly Mingi stood up straight and pointed at Wooyoung with one hand, "you!" He exclaimed, surprising everyone in the room, "you were the ass that snickered at my shoes when I was in building F yesterday!" Wooyoung furrowed his eyesbrows, initially confused. It wasn't until he looked down to Mingi's shoes that he smiled widely in realization, "hey! You're the last season converse kid! Seonghwa hyung," Wooyoung snap his head at Seonghwa, "this is the kid I tweeted about!" To which Seonghwa just sarcastically congratulate him before sipping his drink.
The boys surprisingly blended well. Maybe it was the drinks, or maybe it was the fact that neither one of them have any filters, but suddenly they're all one big friend group.
San managed to convince Jongho to break a bunch of apples to which Jongho did happily, Yunho and Wooyoung watching by the sidelines, cackling and taking a video of everything. Mingi was sitting with Hongjoong and Seonghwa, exhanging stories about their majors and how they became friends with the others.
Meanwhile, Yeosang and you were sat on the couch on the opposite ends. You both weren't talking initially, but the gazes thrown at each other were huge indications that you both wanna talk.
Luckily, it was Yeosang who broke the silence first. He put down his bottle of beer on the table before speaking, "okay, I gotta know, what kind of bullshit 'leverage' that Wooyoung had on you that made you agree to be his fake girlfriend?"
You almost choked at his question because of course it HAD to be HIM who asked you about the whole blackmail him. You couldn't just come clean at him now, could you ?
"A magician never tells his secret," you smirked at him as you took a swig of your own beer. Yeosang raised both of his eyebrows as he nods his head in acknowledgement, "witty and mysterious, nice," he said which made you chuckle.
"But how about you ? You don't seem like the frat type, whar roped you in ?" You asked, "same as you in a way, I've known Wooyoung since high school and ever since he convinced me that I'd get swindled if I don't stop being naïve, he had refused to let me out of his sight," "what!? You?? Naïve?? No way," "uhuh, I even have proof," he then fished out his phone to show you his past.
The rest of the night filled with laughters and jokes. The initial group conversation merged into one and one thing led to another and suddenly an impromptu sleepover happened.
You gotta be honest, you had thought that these guys would be those typical fratboy jerks. But you had no idea that behind the hookups, drinking, and parties, they were all just 5 year olds stuck in 20 somethings' bodies.

alright lets do this
here we go
Title: The Tent Fandom: Z nation Pairing: 10K x female reader Word count: approx 3k Rating: 18 Description: fluffy smut with awkward cinnamon roll 10K
A gas station. A real life, untouched gas station. Apart from the bloody handprints smeared on the concrete walls.
It didn't take long to sweep and secure the area, then fill up the truck and the reserve cannisters. Afterwards Warren gestured with her gun to the convenience store. “Look for anything useful.”
The place had been untouched since day one. Mummified hot dogs still sitting on a rack. The register hanging open- perhaps in the beginning some people had looted cash, but it didn't take long to realise money didn't mean anything anymore.
You shoved bottles of water and packets of candy into your rucksack before following Addy's gaze to the toiletries shelf. Pads and tampons, little travel-sized bodywashes, an actual toothbrush.
“It's a whole new kind of mercy,” she whistled.
You picked up the first aid kit and the two crushed boxes of painkillers, turning to ask Doc if they'd be any good- and found him and Murphy kneeling on the counter, pulling away the plastic panel which guarded the cigarettes.
Priorities, huh.
Loaded up, you looked around you. Warren was on watch so 10K had let his guard down for once and was poking at the faded magazines. You saw his pink lips move as he mouthed the titles to himself. Something familiar caught his eye, probably the one with guns all over, and he reached up- and the whole top shelf came tumbling down. Suddenly 10K was surrounded by glossy double-page spreads of unnaturally bronzed and perky breasts and butts.
He froze like an animal in a trap.
“Found what you're looking for?” Doc's voice was loud and his arms were cradling an impressive quantity of alcohol. “There's a lot of generic lesbians, over forties, asian fetish, but for a beginner I'd recommend-”
The rest of his sentence was drowned out by a crash as 10K backed rapidly out of the shop, cheeks ablaze, taking down a stand of air fresheners and sending sunglasses skittering across the floor in every direction.
The rest of you laughed, for the first time in a while. Back in the truck and passing round bags of only-slightly-stale chips, you all agreed that the gas station was your best find in quite some time.
Except perhaps for the tent.
A little way back, a stranded family had been incredibly grateful for a tow out of the ditch, and had gifted you their spare tent. No ordinary camping gear, this thing was foil-lined and had a built in waterproof, cushioned underlayer. On an especially hot night you'd probably want it to yourself but the rest of the time it comfortably housed two people, keeping in the heat. You'd been taking turns each night, with priority to the injured, meaning that every morning there was at least one person who was fully rested and recharged. Ideal when every day was a battle for survival.
Of course, there was one other advantage to the tent. Privacy. Human needs didn't really get talked about in this un-human world, and whatever got overheard in the night would also go unspoken.
It was nearing dusk and you were pulling over to make camp. “Who's turn in the tent?” Murphy called out as he threw himself down on the ground. “Dibs.”
Warren, who was unloading a heavy bag, gave him a kick in the side. “Get up and help. I don't think 10K's had a turn yet.”
“Neither's she.” He nodded at you.
“Settled then.”
Murphy sniggered.
Since there was plenty of water, there was a rare chance to wash up a bit. Ladies first while the men stood watch with their backs turned, and then vice versa. Nowhere near to having a hot shower in privacy, but it was something. You noticed that 10K didn't bother putting his shirt back on afterwards as he squatted by the fire cleaning his weapons, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
How could somebody so skinny be so strong? Must be the result of life outdoors.
He raised an eyebrow and you realised you were staring. Oops.
“Here.” Somebody passed you a can of cheap beer that had come from the store along with the snacks and cigarettes. It was almost like being at a camp-out. The beer was gross but it gave you a nice warm feeling in your chest, and the idea of lying down somewhere soft started to seem quite appealing, so you said your goodnights and retreated into the tent.
You weren't sure how long it was until you were joined, perhaps you'd started to drift off- the sound of the zip jolted you back to your senses as 10K flopped unceremoniously into the tent, stretching out next to you. “Beer makes shoelaces hard.” He complained.
You giggled and sat up to help. “When was the last time you slept without shoes on?”
“Probably before my voice broke.” He scratched his head while watching you remove his boots and then said, “I'm not good at talking, especially to girls, but you don't scare me.”
“Thanks for the compliment, I think?” You laid back down, closing your eyes and pulling your blanket over you. There was silence for a minute but it was oddly comfortable, the security of a warm person breathing next to you.
“What was your first word?” You asked into the silence. “I bet it was gun.”
“Actually it was primrose.”
“Huh?”
“My momma's favourite flower.” He rolled over onto his stomach, closing the gap between you, and rested his cheek on his folded arms. “I was six. Doctor said I wasn't learning but I was paying attention to everything. She used to take me to the library in town to look at all sorts of books, that where we learned to sign.”
You couldn't help but ask. “When did she...?”
“When I was nine. Pops wanted me to try and be a normal kid but once she'd gone he didn't want anything to do with the rest of the world and stopped sending me to school.”
“I'm sorry.”
“It's ok.” He wriggled a little to get more comfortable. “Can you talk for a bit now?”
So you talked about your own parents, and your hometown, and it surely wasn't very interesting but 10K watched you intently as he sobered up, studying your face, and you hoped you weren't blushing. After a while you came to a natural conclusion in your story and realised that his fingers were twitching, as though he were nervous.
What's up?” you asked softly.
He blinked slowly. “Ain't always easy to tell when you're supposed to say stuff and when you're not.”
Unsure what to expect, you gave him an encouraging nod.
“Can I... touch your hair?”
Your heart started to beat a little fast and you nodded again. 10K's fingers reached out timidly to feel you hair, twisting strands and brushing them away from your face.
You hadn't felt human touch in so long, and you couldn't help but rest your head on his arm as he stroked. The pair of you seemed to breathe in unison. It was almost peaceful.
Almost. Apart from the little sparks of electricity that seemed to fizzle into life where your skin touched his.
Could he feel it too? It didn't seem so. There he was growing more and more serene, while you were   warming up in a way that had nothing to do with the insulated tent.
“Um...” You fidgeted awkwardly, trying to choose the right words. “10K? You know why they were giggling right?”
“Uh-huh.” His eyes were closed. “People do stuff in the tent. Its pretty obviously I've never... y'know.”
“Does it bother you?”
“A bit, but its not like I can go meet a girl and ask her Pops if I can take her to the barn dance.”
You couldn't help but laugh a little. “I mean the teasing.”
“Oh.” He blushed slightly as he opened his eyes to look at you. “I get why, you're near my age and you're pretty. Any guy would be lucky to date you.”
Oh indeed. Maybe he did feel it then.
“You could...” You bit your lip and steeled yourself. “You could pretend that you were.”
He sat bolt upright, making you jump, and a wide grin spread across his face. “I could ask you on a picnic, at my favourite place in the woods.” His words were tumbling out fast from nervous excitement. “Make nice bread, Mom's special recipe with the dried fruit. And we could talk like we did earlier and I could pick you flowers and then I could kiss you.”
His lips were clumsy as they first met yours, but eager, and didn't take long to find a groove. You sighed and leaned in, one hand reaching up into his hair, and-
A single gunshot cracked through the air.
In an instant 10K was lurching for the tent entrance where his gun was propped. You reached for your shoes, panic rising in your chest.
“False alarm.” Doc's voice came from outside. “Nothing to worry about. Hey, you okay in there kid? Need me to give ya a quick pep talk on anything?”
“I'm good.” He zipped the flap back up then turned back to you. “Actually do you think maybe I should? I don't really know what to do.”
You couldn't help but laugh again. He was way too innocent for someone so good-looking.
You put and hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat.  “Just do what feels natural.”
“Okay.” He gave you another wide grin, showing those adorably crooked teeth, and then practically launched himself at you, so you landed on your back and he was on top of you, lips moulding to the shape of yours. You gasped for air and 10K made an apologetic sound without pausing the kiss, propping himself up on one elbow so that you could breathe.
His hand rested on your stomach, fingers still for a moment before balling up your shirt and gently navigating the exposed skin. Tentative. Like soothing a spooked animal.
You reached your hand up to touch his shoulders, feeling hard muscle under surprisingly soft skin. Tracing his collarbones and around the back of his neck. He shivered and broke the kiss, and you saw his tongue dart out to wet his lips.
“Maybe I could take your shirt off too.” He mumbled. In answer you sat up and held your arms above your head. 10K pulled your shirt over your head- sending the little lamp tied to the tent roof swinging- then looked confused as his thumb hooked into the shoulder strap of your sports bra. You kind of wished you'd been wearing something nicer for this occasion, but you'd dressed for practicality before hitting the road.
“Here. Let me.” You wriggled out of the bra, trying not to elbow him in the process.
“Wowee.” 10K let out a whistle. “You look even better without clothes on. Why would anyone want to look at random pictures?”
It seemed like he could have sat there and stared forever, but you didn't have forever, and so you pulled him in to kiss again. He trailed his lips across your face and on to your neck, one arm supporting you from behind and the other hand landing on your chest, squeezing experimentally.
“Not so hard,” you gasped.
“Sorry. They're squishier than I expected.” He let out a humming noise into the crook of your neck as his fingers found a hard nipple and brushed back and forth.
You dipped your head down too, lightly touching your teeth to his throat. A low growl escaped and he pushed you back down, pressing his body close to yours, and you could feel his eager hardness against your hip.
10K tried the same move, nipping at the skin under your ear. His breathing was very shallow and rapid as he licked and sucked experimentally, moving down over your breasts.
“You taste good. But not in a zombie way.”
Your hands rested on his hips, fingers splaying out to softly squeeze his ass and then dipping below the loose waistband.
“Oh, wait.” He rolled off you to shed a pile of concealed knives and the little sharp discs that he used in the sling shot.
“What else are you hiding down there?” You smirked. For a moment he turned beetroot red and covered his crotch with his hands, but then met your smile with one of his own.
“Just means I like you and I like this.” He shrugged. “Do you-”
“Mmhmm.” You reached out to ease his trouser buttons undone, fumbling slightly, but you weren't nervous. It just felt right with him. “I like you. And I like this.”
He groaned softly as the restriction on his hardness eased and grabbed you for another kiss, this time hungry and slightly sloppy. 10K's fingers found the fastening of your own jeans and made quick work, tugging them down to your knees. Then he paused for a moment, putting a finger to your lips.
There was no noise from outside.
“We're good.” With a bit of awkward shuffling, you both shed your trousers and then looked at each other.
“We probably shouldn't go all the way,” you said almost reluctantly. “No protection and all that. But there's still stuff-”
“Anything.” 10K blurted out without a second's pause. “Everything. I'll do whatever you want. But not what you don't want.” His tongue darted out to wet his lips again as he stared at you earnestly.
You felt a shiver travel down your spine. Nobody had ever looked at you quite like that before. Not just lust but something deeper, as though he was seeing through your skin and right inside you.
“Come here,” he whispered huskily, grabbing your waist and pulling you onto his lap. You sighed into the kiss and slowly moved your hips, letting your centre rub against his as you straddled him, tangling fingers in his messy hair.
10K moaned something that sounded like “shucks” and you couldn't help but snort. What would it take to make him swear? You dug your nails in a little, catching his lip between your teeth.
“Want to touch you.” He moaned, gripping your hips. “Want you to touch me.”
You trailed your hand from his cheek all the way down to cup the pronounced bulge in his boxers and his eyes rolled back in his skull, but then he visibly shook himself and swatted your hand away. “Ladies first.” The hand slid a little clumsily down into your knickers.
You closed your eyes and rested your forehead against 10K's, feeling how hot his skin was. His curious fingertips traced your labia and in between.
“It's wet.” He sounded surpised, and brought a thumb to his mouth to taste.
“That's a good thing.” You felt a little self-conscious as you explained, watching him suck his thumb. “It means I'm, you know, turned on.”
“Show me how to make it feel good,” he murmured, lifting you off his lap and laying you back down before tugging your knickers all the way down and spreading your legs.
You took his hand in yours and guided him, showing him your clit. His marksman fingertips quickly picked it up and he kissed you again as he touched you. “Am I doing it right?”
“Yeah you're- oh, yeah thats good.” Your voice was high-pitched and breathy. 10K made a satisfied “hmph” and nuzzled into your neck. He smelled of safety. Less dirt and blood than usual, traces of soap, whatever he was using for hair gel, engine oil. Sweat but not in the just-been-running-and-fighting way, in the musky hormonal way.
The feeling swelling inside you was something you hadn't experienced, hadn't even thought about, in a long time. But here and now it was growing, consuming, and you couldn't imagine anything other than his touch, his hot breath on your cheek.
“Hey.” 10K's voice was husky again. “You need something else?”
You became aware that your hips were twitching. “A bit faster maybe?”
A moan escaped your lips as he obliged, and 10K grinned. “That's hot.” Then he cocked his head to one side, raising his eyebrows. “I assume girls can- y'know-”
“It looks a bit different but yes.” You were gasping now as you spoke, chest rising and falling.
“Do it for me.” He murmured, watching you as though hypnotised and biting his lip. His words and his gaze loosened the coiled spring that was weighing down your abdomen and the endorphins came rushing as you climaxed.
“Shh.” He pressed his mouth to yours and swallowed your moan, pressing his fingers harder as you moved beneath him until it became almost too much. “Do you want them to hear us?”
You shook your head, trying to control your breathing.
“Maybe you do.” He raised an eyebrow again as his fingers finally slowed to a halt. “I kinda do. So they all know what I just did to you.”
“Do you want your turn or not?”
That shut him up. He glanced down and you followed his gaze. He was still very much erect, and there was now a distinct wet patch where he'd leaked a little in excitement.
You pushed 10K onto his back and settled yourself next to him. “Let me know if something's not ok,” you told him. “I won't do anything you don't want.”
He nodded and closed his eyes. He flinched a little as you pulled his boxers down but then his face relaxed and his lips parted as you touched him.
“Have you done this to yourself?” You asked. “So you know what you like.”
He nodded, looking somewhat bashful. “A few times. But this is different. Better.”
It was your turn to grin as your fingers circled his erection and found a rhythm. 10K's head tilted back and the smallest of high-pitched noises escaped his open mouth. You lowered your lips to his exposed neck and sucked gently at the skin. There was a red mark when you pulled away.
“Mmmph.” He rasped through gritted teeth. “Again.”
“It'll leave a bruise.”
“Don't care.”
You began to create a trail of little hickeys down his throat and across his collarbones as you continued to stroke, and his tiny whimpers grew more frequent. You knew it wouldn't be long.
10K was holding onto you tightly, nails digging in, droplets of sweat visible on his forehead. “I think I'm gonna- ahh....” He seemed to lose the ability to speak as you attacked his neck again, eyes rolling back. A few moments later, his hips bucked and you could feel hot sticky warmth coat your fingers.
“Fuuuuuuuuuuck.”
So he did swear after all.
You kissed him again, and then looked down. “Um, got anything to clean up with?”
Still breathing heavily, 10K sat up and reached for his trousers, pulling a bandana out of one of the many pockets. “It's my least favourite. I'll burn it.”
Like the gentleman he'd been raised to be, he wiped your hand off first before tending to himself, then tossed the soiled cloth out of the way and pulled you close. You rested your head on his chest. You'd heard the term 'afterglow' but never really thought that it was a thing; it apparently was. The chemicals your brain was releasing and the protective hold of his arms made you want to laugh, and cry, and drift off to sleep, and run a mile, all at once.
Just for a moment, there was no apocalypse. There was only you and him and the little lamp above your heads.
It was 10K who broke the spell. “I need to pee.” he said apologetically. “Like, real bad.”
You laughed at the face he was pulling and threw his trousers at him. 10K slithered with some difficulty into them, kicking the side of the tent, and then stumbled outside.
You realised how cold it was now and reached for your own clothes. As footsteps indicated 10K's return, you could have sworn you heard the sound of a high-five.
“What was that?” You demanded as he re-entered the tent.
“Never mind.” He grabbed the blanket and laid it over you.”I  want to do that again. But we should probably get some sleep.”
“The whole point of the tent is to get proper rest right?” You scooted closer as he laid down, offering the blanket, but he refused, tucking it round you and then wrapping his arms round too so you were tightly cocooned against his side.
“Yeah. Sure.”

[Luka X fem!Reader] Of Guitar Picks and Ladders
“Hey (y/n)!” Juleka called and you ran over to the dark haired girl.
“What’s up?” you questioned when you got close enough to her and Rose.
“We’re gonna practice tonight,” she told you, then looked at you quizzically, “you coming?”
“Of course!” you answered with a smile, “miss my favorite band? No way!”
Rose smiled, “are we really your favorite band?”
“Are you sure you’re not biased?” Juleka teased with a grin.
You sheepishly rubbed the back of your neck, “maybe a little.” Your family had been friends with the Couffaines for as long as you could remember, so it was a given that you were best friends with the Couffaine kids, Juleka and Luka. Plus, the fact that you harbored a huge crush on Luka didn’t help your case that you weren’t biased. “When do you guys think you’re going to get a gig?”
“We are going to be participating in the upcoming music festival.” Rose told you.
“What?” you gasped and looked at your two friends with wide eyes, “no way! That’s so awesome! When were you going to tell me?”
“Haha, oops.” Juleka sheepishly commented.
“Should we get going now?” Rose asked. You and Juleka nodded and the three of you walked towards the Couffaine residence.
...
“Mom I’m home!” Juleka called out as she dropped her bag onto the floor, “Rose and (y/n) are with me!”
“Okay!” Juleka’s mom replied.
“We’ve got a couple hours to kill right? We could knock out our homework.” You suggested. Unlike Juleka, you and Rose still had your bags on.
“That’s true.” She nodded and picked her bag up, “we’ll go to my room.” You and Rose nodded and followed Juleka to her room. On your way to her room, you passed by Luka’s room.
“Knock knock.” You called as you knocked on the door frame. The door was slightly ajar and you could see Luka inside.
His eyes opened and his gaze fell upon you, “hey (y/n).”
“Just wanted to say hi.” You smiled, “we’re gonna do homework before you guys practice.”
“Hey, you wanna see something cool?” he asked and beckoned you to come into his room.
“Sure.” You nodded and pushed the door open. He went to his collection of picks and pulled out one of them from it’s spot on the wall. He then put it in your hand so you could see.
You gasped, “no way.”
“Yes way.” He grinned.
“You got one of the limited edition Jagged Stone picks?” You asked as you examined the small piece of plastic, “that’s insane! How’d you get it?”
He pretended to nonchalantly shrug, “just a friend.”
“That’s so cool!” you gushed. You weren’t exactly a guitar player, but you did keep up with what was happening in the music world. If only to keep up with what Luka was talking about.
“(y/n)!” you heard your name being called, “we’re going to start our homework without you!” Rose shouted.
You blanched, Ms. Mendeleev gave some hard homework for tonight and you did not want to miss help with that. “Sorry, I’ve got to go.” You gave him back his pick, “I’ll talk to you later though!” you waved at him before you darted to Juleka’s room.
“What were you doing with my brother?” Juleka teased with a knowing look.
“He was just showing me his Jagged Stone pick.” You answered with your face buried in your bag as you looked for your homework and to hide your blush.
“What really?” Juleka gasped, “he hasn’t even shown me that!”
“Wait what?” you asked in confusion and you looked out of your bag to face her, “seriously?”
“He must really like you then.” Rose grinned.
“That’s very kind of him.” You answered nonchalantly but buried your head in your bag again.
“Does (y/n) have a crush?” Rose cooed.
“Not so loud!” you shushed her and worriedly looked at the closed door to Juleka’s room.
“So you do!” Rose squealed and you winced as she did the exact opposite of what you wanted her to do.
“I don’t!” you vehemently tried to argue back, but it wasn’t doing much good. Rose’s love radar was up and active.
“And it’s on my brother.” Juleka looked at you in shock.
“No, no, it’s not.” You desperately tried to calm the situation down.
Juleka smiled, “we’re totally setting the two of you up.”
“Please don’t.” You hid your face in your hands.
“You guys would be so cute together!” Rose gushed.
“Guys. You whined, “don’t we have homework to do?”
“Nu-uh, this is more important.” Juleka replied and shoved all of your books and notes aside.
You groaned and fell onto the ground, “why? Ms. Mendeleev will be furious if we don’t do our homework! And you have practice later today.”
“She has a point.” Juleka nodded and Rose sullenly agreed.
“But don’t think we’re forgetting about this!” Rose brightened up. You just groaned.
...
“I just realized something,” Luka sat down next to you.
“Huh?” you asked him dumbfounded, had he already figured out that you had a massive crush on him? You had only come to terms with it a couple hours ago.
“You always come to our practices.” He remarked thoughtfully.
You silently let out a sigh of relief, but then resisted the urge to hit the black and blue haired boy. He just now realized that? “Well of course I do. You guys are my favorite band! So I’m going to show my support!” you grinned.
“Your favorite band?” he looked down at you dubiously but you could tell he was laughing on the inside, “and there’s nothing biased about that statement.”
“Juleka said the exact same thing.” You whined, “maybe it’s a little biased.”
“A lot biased!” Rose shouted with a grin. Your eyes widened and you glared at her with your hand up to your neck in the universal sign that you were going to kill her when this entire thing was done.
He laughed as he clearly saw the sign you gave Rose, “well anyways. I’m glad to have you here supporting us.” He stood up, “I should go help set up. Talk to you later.” He waved.
As soon as he was out of earshot you turned to Rose, “Rose I’m going to kill you!”
“What why?” she asked in shock, “I haven’t done anything yet!”
“(y/n)! I need your help!” Juleka called. You ran over to her, “can you help hang this up?” she handed you a roll of streamers.
“Why do you need this up?” you asked and held it up.
“Because of the aesthetic.” She answered simply then patted the ladder next to you.
You sighed, you still didn’t understand but she knew what she was doing. You climbed onto the steps of the ladder as she held the ladder. You were starting to tape up the streamers when the ladder suddenly shook and you lost balance and fell off the ladder. You screamed and shut your eyes in preparation to his the ground when you realized you didn’t hit anything hard, but you had stopped falling. You opened up an eye and was met with blue. “Oh, hi Luka.” You stuttered.
He let you down back on your feet, “you should be more careful, you could’ve died.” He lectured.
“Blame Juleka, she was the one holding the ladder.” You muttered as you glared at said person. Said person just gave you a grin and waved.
“I guess you could say she fell for you!” Rose called from across the room.
You spun around and was about to really kill Rose when Luka laughed, “I can’t disagree with that.”
“In more ways than one.” You mumbled but then clasped your hands over your mouth in shock.
“You,” Luka looked at you in shock, “like me?”
“Of course I do,” you tried to wave off your blunder, “who wouldn’t like you? You’re totally awesome!”
“She like-likes you!” Rose yelled out again.
You felt your eye twitch as you continued to smile at Luka. Rose was really asking for it. “That’s good.” Luka smiled and the atmosphere seemed to have softened, “because I like-like you too.”
“Huh?” your jaw dropped, were you hearing things correctly?
“That was lame,” he sighed, “I really like you too.” He told you.
“Uh, me too.” You stuttered. You were mentally berating yourself, normally you were fine around Luka, but now you suddenly have a frog in your mouth?
“So you won’t mind if I…” he trailed off and leant down to capture your lips in a kiss. Once you realized what was happening, you stood up on your tiptoes to meet him halfway.
“No, I don’t mind.” You smiled. The two of you stood there for awhile. Foreheads touching and arms wrapped around each other. You suddenly broke off when you heard cheering though. Mainly from Rose. “Do you mind if I go kill her?” you asked softly.
“She’s our lead singer. I can’t let you do that.” He answered equally soft.
“Shame.” He laughed and captured your lips in another kiss.

✾❃S.H+D.K- A Bisexual Mess✶
Make a request!
Master list
Tumblr media
Warnings: Smut, threesome, spit roasting, suggested poly relationship
Words: 3407
Pairing(s): Kaminari Denki x Sero Hanta x FEM!reader
Summary: Being attracted to your friend is weird, and your boyfriend having a crush on him too is even weirder.
Tumblr media
Ok so I might’ve gotten carried away and prepared a basket instead... oops. Enjoy!
Part two
===NSFW UNDER THE CUT===
Sero Hanta always bragged about you to his friends, which wasn't a secret by any means. Well, not a secret to anybody except you. What can he say? You're perfect to him, and who's he to keep that information to himself? He would spew everything he loved about you and more, infuriating Bakugo and making Kaminari jealous.
You didn't mean to eavesdrop, really! Well, not at first. Buuut... your pretty little boyfriend mentioned your name in his conversation with the Bakusquad, and you couldn't help it. You stood quietly outside of your home office— the only place in the house you allowed Hanta to smoke —and leaned as close to the door as you dared.
"She's just so perfect," you broke into a smile at Sero's words.
"Will you stop bragging about y/n-chan?" Kaminari groaned dramatically from within the room, "I almost can't take it anymore! You know that I like her. Stop making me jealous on purpose because I can't have her!"
Your eyes widened slightly at Kaminari's words. He did? Since when? Well, that was a silly thing to think; Kami has probably had a crush on everyone in high school at one point or another. But the fact that he just admitted it to Hanta was straight-up bold.
"Yeah I know," you heard Sero smirk, "ever since you've heard about her magic mouth you've wanted a piece."
"-wha? Wrong. I've had a crush on her longer than that!" Kaminari argued. You could hear Mina in the back cracking up.
"Will you two shut up?!" Bakugo yelled, rattling the door. "Every fucking time I'm here is all 'y/n this' and 'y/n that' ok we gET IT, THE TWO OF YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH HER!"
You stood in their silence for a moment, trying to process that holy shit, the Mega-Virgin Kaminari has a crush on you, even before you sucked Hanta off for the first time! What was happening?
"K'mon, bro," Kirishima chided, and you heard the slap of his hand land on Bakugo's back. "Chill out, take another hit. Y/n-san might pop in if she hears too much noise."
"Whatever, 'tch," Bakugo huffed, "kinda wanna go home anyway, you nerds don't have anything interesting to talk about."
You quietly hurried away to your shared bedroom at the sound of footsteps, pretending that you hadn't just heard Hanta openly talk about your 'magic mouth', and Kaminari's confession. You could still feel the flustered blush on your cheeks as Kirishima and Bakugo walked down the hall to the front door, the latter grumbling about "those damn nerds".
"Wait, guys," Mina called to them, "I don't want to be stuck with those love-sick idiots!"
After Kiri offered to buy the pink girl an Uber home and the front door was shut, all you could hear was the muffled conversation a room over. You snuck back to the office door, and pressed your ear against it.
"-s-stop!" You heard Kaminari stutter.
"Never! It's so fun to make you flustered over my girl," you playfully shook your head at Hanta's words. Typical Sero move.
It was silent for a few minutes, broken soon after with a, "dude! What the hell?" From Hanta.
"I- it's- it's your fault!" Kaminari retorted, apparently spinning around in the squeaky office chair.
"You-," Sero burst out laughing, "you got hard just from me talking about her! Bet it was the part I told you when y/n and I were at that one restaurant-."
"S-shut up!" Kaminari squeaked.
Your face flushed considerably pinker. Right here, right now, were two boys that were sexually attracted to you on the other side of the door. You felt your stomach flip and twist in excitement at the new feeling.
"It's kinda cute that you're so into her," you heard Hanta tease. "You're always a blushing mess, and just stuttering over your words."
"Damn S-sero," Denki said grouchily, "stop making fun of me."
You couldn't help but press your ear completely against the door, the two boys inside were too high to notice the shadow under the door anyway. Was Hanta... Flirting?
"I'm not making fun of you," Sero paused. "I'm just calling you cute."
You drowned out the rest of their conversation with your thoughts, trying to connect dots together. Hanta was a little suspicious at times from what you could see over his shoulder. Suspicious of what, exactly? Being gay, or at least bisexual. You saw him close tabs of soft-core gay porn occasionally, and you even accidentally stumbled upon Sero's old diary from years back. You didn't worry too much about it, but now... was he suppressing his feelings? Was he about to cheat on you?
Your heart dropped at that thought. Hanta was a nice guy and he wouldn't do that to you, right? He wouldn't lie about loving you. Not after what you heard earlier. Or was that just to fluster Kaminari? You shook your head in an attempt to clear your mind, and tuned back in on the two boys.
"-AH—! Wait!" You heard Sero panic, "I didn't- I shouldn't've-!"
".. shouldn't have kissed me?" Denki squeaked quietly so you had to strain to hear.
What on Earth did you miss while you were spaced out?
"Well- I was just thinking about h-how cute you are, and I forgot that I can't kiss someone who isn't my partner!" Hanta stressed, "god why do I have to love both of you..."
Your eyebrows raised at that, and listened in a little harder. Did you hear that right? Sero had a crush on Kaminari?
Honestly you couldn't blame him when the blond was so undeniably attractive, especially with the smudged black eyeliner on the corners of his eyes and the lightning bolt streak in his hair. You wouldn't lie that you liked him a bit too, but you suppressed those feelings for Hanta.
"I- I can go if you want," Kaminari mumbled, voice cracking slightly.
"Er- if you want. I don't mind chilling with you a bit longer. Just— don't tell y/n what happened. I- I'll tell her later when I figure out what to say," Hanta said.
"You sure she won't get mad at you?" Said a concerned Denki. "I know how much you love her, and I don't want you two to break it off.."
"Weeelll," Sero dragged on nervously, "y/n is very understanding, a-and I also need to tell her a few other things anyway."
You headed towards the living room, hearing all you needed to. You honestly didn't exactly know what to think about what just happened. Hanta kissed Denki, who likes you, and you that likes Hanta who also likes Denki. What even.
You sat comfortably on the couch, watching the last of the sun meander under the horizon. You nervously tapped on your phone after playing games on it for about an hour, waiting for Kaminari to leave so you could talk with Hanta. You finally heard the office door open, and you turned your head. Sero shuffled towards you with a sleeping Denki in his arms. The blonde's mouth was wide open and snoring lightly, drool going halfway down his chin.
"Uh," Hanta said awkwardly, "help."
You giggled and jumped up from your to help your boyfriend position Kaminari on the couch, who immediately latched onto a pillow mumbling incoherently.
"Whatta dude," you stated, fists on your hips.
"Yeah..." Hanta scratched the back of his neck. "Uh, I have to talk to you about something. It's pretty serious so we can wait until later if you want."
"Nah," you shook your head, "you've seemed off lately, and I'm guessing you just need it off your chest."
"Well, if you don't mind," Hanta plopped down on the love seat. You kneeled over to lean your head on his knee as he sucked in a shaky breath. "I- Um. I- I think I'm Bi."
You nodded your head understandingly, taking his hand in yours. "Ok, baby. Thank you for telling me."
"—there is o-one more thing I-I have to confess," Sero shook, "just please don't hit or yell at me."
"I would never, baby. I'm here for you," you looked up at him encouragingly, giving him a smile.
"O-ok. Uh, I kinda, well... I kinda kissed Kami. O-on the lips," Hanta's eyes looked away from yours, floating to the floor.
"Do you regret it?" You asked, keeping a calm exterior.
"Uh- I dunno. I do because I'm with you.. but... I- I think I don't," Sero looked incredibly guilty, and he squeezed your hand, "I love you, b-but I also have a crush on him..."
"That's ok," you reassured, reaching up to turn his head back to you, "I don't mind if you want to be in a relationship with him too, separately or not."
Hanta looked incredibly surprised, and a smile split his face, "really?!"
"Yes really," you giggled, kissing his cheek. "I can share you."
Sero, being the genius he was, suggested introducing Denki into the relationship with a threesome. Totally not skipping a few steps or anything.
"Are you sure he'd be willing to do that?" You had asked. "He's a virgin to basically everything."
"Oh, he'd be willing alright," Hanta smirked. "I'll message him about it then?"
"Mhm," you nodded, "it'll be fun. We'll get to tease him."
Denki was freaking out. Actually, he was more than freaking out. He was freaking out and jerking off. Multitasking. He could not believe his eyes when he opened Sero's text message, four glorious words: 'wanna have a threesome?'
Of course, Denki had asked if his friend had been joking or not before opening up his mind to fantasies. He got off rather quickly, though who could blame him. He swore that his libido was abnormally high, because even the thought of you, (and Sero as well), would get him flustered and he would pop a boner.
The next day when he came over, his teeth brushed and pubes trimmed, he stood outside your apartment door for at least a minute before knocking. His mind would keep circling the same thoughts: 'Sero just wants you to embarrass yourself in front of her', 'he told y/n about your crush and now they want to laugh at you', 'holy fuck is this actually happening', and 'I hope Sero actually doesn't mind sharing'.
"Sup, man," Hanta grinned as he opened the door for his blushing crush, a far too casual greeting for the situation about to unfold.
"H-hey," Kaminari grinned back, shuffling inside and slipping off his shoes.
"Y/n's just making up a snack so we can chat before uh, y'know," Hanta held back his blush, already nervous because damn, did Denki put on eyeliner or something? He looked hotter than usual.
"Take a seat in the living room, I'm almost done!" You called from the kitchen as you poured one last cup of tea. You carried the tray of tea and homemade cookies to the coffee table, and sat yourself down on the love seat. You couldn't lie— you were nervous as shit at the moment. You looked up as Hanta led a very flustered and anxious Kaminari behind him, and you gave a comforting wave.
"H-hi," Kaminari squeaked, sitting himself on the couch in front of you. He rubbed the sweat off his hands on his pants, trying to avoid your gaze.
"Hey!" You greeted kindly with a smile.
"Alright so now what," Hanta stated, plopping himself beside Denki only looking slightly nervous.
"We discuss boundaries!" You said cheerfully. You reached over for your cup and took a sip. "Any hard no's?"
"Kaminari's not fucking you," Hanta crossed his arms. "Not yet, I want it to be more special than this..."
Denki choked on his drink, sputtering on his tea.
"Kami, any hard no's?" you steered.
"U-uh not right now," the electric blond stuttered, eyeing Sero nervously.
"Ok great!" You exclaimed, clapping your hands together, "the safe word Hanta and I use is 'soy sauce'."
"That's two-."
"Yeah same difference," you waved Kaminari off. "Anyway, my hard no's are just don't hit me, don't degrade me, and don't choke me out."
The two boys nodded anxiously.
"Holy fuck," Denki muttered as he watched Sero kiss your lips, palming his dick through his jeans. He admired your half undressed state as he feverishly threw off his T-shirt.
Without looking, Hanta held out his hand in a 'come hither' motion, and Kaminari steered over to his friend. Sero pulled away from you for a moment, guiding Denki's shaky hands to your bare waist. Once the two of you continued kissing, Kaminari hugged your waist closer and kissed the side of your neck. Your encouraging moans excited him, and he kissed your skin harder.
Denki's hips couldn't help but rut against your backside, drawing out a soft groan from him. He peered his head up to Sero, who turned to give him a gentle kiss, and Kaminari could feel your saliva on his lips. You turned to face the blonde, leaning forwards to propose a kiss. Denki filled the gap quickly, and met your lips with his. It was a messy kiss, but neither you nor Kami cared. You heard Hanta grumble in your ear, nipping at the cartilage carefully.
Honestly, Denki thought he was being spoiled rotten. You were so soft in his arms, and he swore he could stay like this forever. Sero's nimble fingers snuck to the back of your bra and quickly unclasped it, making Denki suck in a jittery breath.
"Hmmh," you sighed as Hanta cupped your breasts gently, waiting for Denki to desperately ask for a turn.
"You can touch her, Denks," Sero chuckled, leaning over and kissing his friend again.
Denki mumbled into the kiss, and shakily moved to grasp your tits from behind. His cock couldn't help but twitch in his pants as he massaged your nipples softly, his lips still locked with Hanta's. Kami pulled back with a gasp, strings of saliva still attaching them.
"Oh so good," Denki whined as he humped your ass, breathing heavily into your ear.
"Mmm, Denki~ take your pants off for us, won't you?" You licked your lips and watched as Kaminari hobbled out of his skinny jeans.
He looked at you with wide eyes as you sat on your bed, with Sero following suit. Denki moaned when the two of you started making out again, and nervously edged closer to the bed. You smiled at him encouragingly and reached out a hand to play with the elastic of his boxers. A whimper left his throat as you trailed a finger up his clothed shaft, and he eyed Hanta guilty.
"It's ok!" The smiling man replied, helping you get into a better position. "Let loose a little, dude."
Denki wasn't sure he could do that since you were slowly pulling down the hem of his underwear, his cock springing up to slap his stomach before standing straight out. He slipped down his boxers and kicked them away, having full attention on you and your beautiful e/c eyes.
Hanta was massaging your ass cheeks as Denki experienced your mouth for the first time, and he pulled down your panties, (which were soaked, by the way). You moaned against Kami's cock as Sero rubbed the inside of your thighs with his warm hands, causing Denki to let out a lewd groan. His eyes kept switching from you, to Sero, and back to you again.
"So wet for me, y/n," Hanta mumbled, "if I knew you were into this stuff I would've invited Kami over earlier."
You hummed in response, too busy indulging yourself with Denki's dick. You enjoyed making him squirm in his stance, licking over the glans of his cock and the underside of his shaft. You swore you could see his eyes start to water up.
Kaminari was wide eyed as he watched Hanta strip out of his briefs and give himself a few pumps. Denki's mouth opened in a silent moan when Sero lined up to your entrance and slowly inched inside, letting out a low groan when he bottomed out. You hummed diligently on the cock you were sucking and grabbed Denki's hand to put on your head, letting him grasp your hair like reins.
The electric blond babbled quietly as he watched Hanta pump into you, forcing Denki's cock further down your throat. The way your mouth contracted around him made Denki's legs shake, and he got red in the face trying to keep his hands from urging your head deeper.
"You look like you're having a good time, Denks," Sero commented as he admired the blonde's teary eyes. His hips rolled forwards in a new rhythm and you griped pleasantly as you fisted the sheets under you.
"Fuuuck yeah," Kaminari grumbled, catching up with his friend's rhythm. He was over the moon, and was just trying not to cum prematurely so he could enjoy this moment longer.
"Don't be afraid to fuck her face," Hanta said smugly, repositioning his hands on your hips. "She loves choking on cock, ain't that right beautiful?"
You wept in agreement, looking up at Denki with soft, pleading eyes. You bobbed your head faster in his loose grasp, gagging and sputtering on spit and precum. The man above you groaned with satisfaction and fisted your hair and forced his dick deeper into your tight throat. His thrusts came in a perfect rhythm with Sero's, and whenever you moved, you were getting impaled from either end.
Your limbs shook as you struggled to breathe with the cock in your mouth, and your pussy clenched around Hanta desperately. You felt tears stream down your cheeks as you sobbed for breath, enjoying every moment. You nearly squealed as Sero pressed a vibrator against your clit, and your vision fuzzed a bright white.
"Gonna cum, baby?" Hanta egged on, panting for oxygen. "C'mere Den, kiss me."
You whined loudly as you heard the two men kissing above you, and your stomach tightened and rolled around pleasantly. You gurgled on Denki's cock as you came, pussy pulsing with need and delight.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Kaminari moaned in tune with his thrusts, so close to the edge that you could practically taste his cum already.
"Oh shit, y/n. You're so— tigHT," Hanta groaned as he rutted against you one more time before you felt his warm cum fill your insides.
Right on cue, Denki hit his peak right after Sero, moaning about how good your mouth felt and how hot you were, "god, Hanta, she looks so fucking good like this."
Denki let out a choked whine as he finally let his orgasm take over his body, and he held your head in place as his semen ran down your throat. You choked it down before Kami pulled away, and you opened your mouth to reveal strings of saliva and cum.
"Holy fucking shit," Denki said, exasperated, "I feel like I'm not gonna go soft for a week."
"You alright, my love?" Hanta said softly as he let you fall onto your chest, ass still up.
"Hell yeah," you mumbled, your voice scratchy and sore from being face-fucked. You watched Kami stand awkwardly as Sero wiped you down with a warm cloth, taking care between your thighs.
"Denki, go get some water please," Hanta instructed as he rolled you over. "You did so good, baby. The best."
You hummed softly in response, already feeling your eyes flutter sleepily. Kaminari held out a straw to you, and you sucked down the cool substance thankfully.
"That was the best blowjob ever," Denki sighed happily, watching Hanta scoop out the cum from your cunt.
"It was your only blowjob, Kami," you mumbled teasingly, a soft smirk on your face.
You felt yourself drift into a calm state, and you could only hear the muffled voices of your boyfriend, and... your other boyfriend? You fell into a comforting, dreamless sleep, and you knew that Denki would make a great addition to your relationship.

Colby Brock. A guy that had been your crush since eighth grade, when he’d moved to town. There was something about him that called you back to him time and time again. He was a kind soul with a passion for life. He was someone you felt you could get along with.
But his whole attitude changed when the two of you started high school. He quickly became cold and rude. Quickly climbing the social ladder to join ranks with the most popular students in the school. These were the same people who bullied you and your friends.
It should have ended your crush on him, but it didn’t. The crush only seemed to grow as you watched him from afar. You would catch glimpses of the old him from time to time, which gave you hope that he was still in there.
Sophomore year, his attitude worsened, and he grew meaner to the people around him. News got around that his parents had divorced because his dad had been having an affair behind his mother’s back. It was also known she left town and now he was stuck with his father. He began to join in on the bullying, proving his new standing in school. During this time, you still watched him and searched for glimpses of the old Colby. They were becoming far and few.
Junior year, he started dating Paige Marcus, the IT girl of the school. All the boys wanted her and most of the girls wanted to be her. She was your personal tormentor and she had been for years. She’d taken a dislike to you in fourth grade, when you got the lead in the class play that year. That girl hated you more than anyone thought was possible.
It was a real heartbreak the first time you’d seen Colby and Paige walking hand in hand down the hallway. Your smile had faded, and you wanted to just cry. All over a boy who had never taken a notice to you. Especially because you were just some nerdy girl and he was now popular.
One day, you had been late to school, so you had to rush to get to class. As you ran through the hallway to get to class in time. You ran into Colby, literally. You collided hard with his built form, falling onto your ass.
Colby just simply looked down at you and laughed. “You should watch where you’re going, nerd.” He growled when anger flashed through his eyes.
Paige was hanging on his arm and glaring at you, as per usual. “Yeah loser, you really should watch where you’re going. My boyfriend didn’t need to be inconvenienced by you.” What was she? Colby’s parrot?
Paige laughed and kicked my books across the hallway. Colby laughed along with her, and pain flashed through my chest. “There better not be a next time.” He grumbled before stepping over you and walking away with Paige beside him.
Tears welled up in your eyes, misting up your glasses. You had been so embarrassed that day. You’d hoped it would end your crush on him, but it didn’t.
Senior year, Paige set out to personally destroy you at every chance she got. Colby was by her side each time, laughing along with her. That year was absolute hell for you. There was no escape from Paige’s wrath.
The worst day nearly broke you.
It was the middle of January and it had just snowed, making the town a frosty wasteland. There was a fire drill shortly after third period began and everyone was ushered out to the cold.
You stood with your class minding your own business when Paige approached you, dragging you from the other students. You’d struggled against her, not knowing why she had pulled you away.
“What do you want?” You asked while her nails dug into your arm.
“Just teaching you a lesson.” She said as you stopped next to a huge frozen snow bank.
“Why do you have to do this to me, Paige?” You questioned when she stole your glasses from your face. “No, give those back.” You attempted to reach for them, but the blurriness had taken over. As you were about to grab them, she threw them to her friend, Cassie. So you moved to get them from her, but she was keeping you from being able to retrieve them.
“Give me my glasses!” Your voice was loud because you were angry the snickering bitches had stolen them from you.
Suddenly, Cassie dropped them to the ground and stepped on them. A crunch could be heard as she ruined your chance for clear vision.
“Oops, my bad.” Cassie spoke while she continued to wreck your glasses.
“Stop! Why are you doing this?” Tears had begun to gather in your already blurry eyes.
“Oh look, we have a cry baby on our hands.” Paige taunted before pushing you towards the ground.
Your left hand went out to catch you, making contact with the frozen ground before your body weight came crashing down onto it. A sharp pain shot through your wrist, making you cry out as the pain hit. Paige and Cassie were just cracking up the whole time.
The world was blurry around you as you lifted your hand from the ground. Pain radiated through your arm, starting from your wrist.
“What are you guys doing?” A familiar voice cut through the two girls’ laughter. It was Colby and you were afraid he was here to join in on the torture.
“Oh baby, we were just teaching Y/n a lesson.” Paige answered in a supposedly sweet voice, but anyone could hear the venom hidden in her words.
“By breaking her glasses and hurting her?” He suddenly sounded mad.
“It’s just a joke.” Paige tried to sound like it wasn’t as big problem.
“Hurting people isn’t a joke, Paige!” He was yelling now. Then he was beside you, bending down to your level. “Are you okay, Y/n?” You couldn’t really see him all that clearly, but you could tell he was looking at the wrist you were clutching to your chest.
“No, it hurts a lot.” You whimpered as the pain continued to shoot through your arm.
“Okay, let’s get you to the nurse.” He was gentle as he helped you up from the ground.
“Why are you helping her?” Paige was now frustrated.
“She needs help.” He stated as he bent down to pick up your broken glasses from the ground.
“She’s not one of us, Colby, just leave her alone.”
“No, get out of the way.” He pushed by her and Cassie while leading you towards the school. The fire drill was over at this point.
It was quiet between the two of you as he led you through the hallway full of students who were headed back to class.
“Thank you for helping me.” You said to Colby, in a soft voice.
“Don’t mention it. Paige is a bitch a she needs to be put in her place.” He spoke as you walked into the nurses office. Once again, you had seen a glimpse of the old Colby which only proved to you that he was still in there.
You ended up having to go to the hospital, much to your mothers dismay. It was a serious inconvenience for her to leave work to take you to the hospital. She practically yelled the whole drive there. Your broken glasses were another yelling point for her. At the hospital, it was determined your wrist had been broken, which only angered her further. Not that any of it had been your fault, but she claimed you’d been the one to evoke the girls in the first place. Your mother and you weren’t particularly close.
After that incident, Paige and Colby had called it quits and Paige blamed you, of course. The rest of your senior year was pure hell for you, thanks to Paige and her friends.
You were more than happy to get away from there, luckily. You had received a scholarship to a college three hours away and your father’s house was twenty minutes from it, so you stayed with him. College was lonely for you, though. Because you weren’t all that great at making new friends and your father was always away for work, or on vacation with his new wife. A wife who didn’t like you much either.
Throughout it all, your crush on Colby never once faded. You didn’t know if it ever would.
****
10 years from the time you first began to like Colby, you were returning back to your mother’s house. You’d graduated from college and found a job close to her place, and thankfully she was letting you come back. You promised yourself you wouldn’t be there long before you found a place for yourself. You couldn’t help but to feel nervous about being back at her home. It would bring back memories of high school and Colby, but you highly doubted that he still lived in town.
You pulled into your mother’s driveway, staring at the sage green house in front of you. You’d grown up in this house. Your father had once lived in this house with you. The house held so many memories for you. Good and bad.
Sighing, you finally got out of the car and grabbed your bags from the back. You slowly made your way to the front door and let yourself into the house. Immediately, the aroma of cooking food filled your nostrils. Odd. Your mother hated to cook. You put your bags by the stairs and went to the kitchen. You found your mother standing in front of the stove wearing a blue dress. She never wore dresses.
“Hi mom.” You said getting her attention.
She turned around with a huge smile. “Hello honey. How was the drive back?” She had abandoned the stove to pull you into a hug.
“The drive was fine. What are you dressed up for?”
“Oh honey, I’m so excited. I’ve been seeing this man for a few months now and I’ve invited him and his son to dinner to welcome you home.”
This surprised you. Your mother had never successfully dated since your father left her.
“Yes okay, wow. Congrats mom. I look forward to meeting them.” You honestly were.
“I think you will like him, and his son is about your age and just a sweet young man.”
“Well I’m happy for you.”
“Thank you baby. You should go get settled in. They will be here in about an hour.” She then sent you off towards the stairs. The person you were just talking to was definitely not the person she was before you left for college. You purposely didn’t come home to visit all that often because you were afraid of who you would come home to.
After a quick shower, you sat at your counter to do your makeup. You were happy that you no longer had to wear glasses, because two years ago, your dad had gifted you laser surgery as a sorry for never being around. He still wasn’t around after that though, but you learned to expect that from him. After he left, you weren’t really much of a thought in his head.
You decided on a nice purple dress of yours and a pair of flat black booties for your feet and left your room. When you were halfway down the stairs, the doorbell went off.
“Y/n, could you get that?” Your mother asked from the kitchen.
“Yes.” You said, stopping in front of the door.
You flung open the door, instantly panicking as you saw who was on the other side. Colby Brock beside an older man, that must be his father. Your mom was dating his dad.
“Hello, come on in.” You moved out of the way so they could enter the house. Colby’s eyes were glued to you, which sent chills through your body. Oh god, tonight was going to be hell.
Your mother exited the kitchen and pulled Colby’s dad into a kiss. You grimaced and turned away from the scene. “Y/n sweetie, I want you to meet John Brock and his son Colby.” She introduced the men to you.
“I went to high school with Colby.” Colby was way hotter than you remember him being. He was sexy, tall, and muscular. He had this really sexy dyed blue hair upon his head. The man was perfect.
“Oh really? Do you remember her being so clumsy in high school? Her senior year, she broke both her glasses and wrist all in one day.” Your mother’s words made you blush in pure embarrassment.
“If I remember correctly, Y/n had her glasses stolen before she was pushed into a snowbank. So it wasn’t her fault.” Colby defended you, shocking you.
“Oh, looks like you had a friend in high school, Y/n.” You face grew red now.
“I think dinner is done. I’m going to go set the table.” You quickly dismissed yourself and ran off to the kitchen to grab the plates and silverware. You desperately hoped your mom wasn’t going to keep embarrassing you throughout dinner.
You were setting up the plates when your mother entered the room, followed by Colby and his father. You idly wondered if Colby had a girlfriend.  He had to have a girlfriend with how sexy he was.
“Thank you, Y/n. Can you grab the food for us?” She questioned while already being seated next to John.
“I’ll help you.” Colby said while following you into the kitchen. “How are you doing, Y/n?” He questioned.
You pulled the food from the oven and set it on the stove. “I’m alright. Not too thrilled to be back at my moms, but it’s okay.”
“I know what you mean. Living with my dad is hard. But I haven’t seen him much since he’s been seeing your mom.”
You began to put the other food into bowls for the two of you to carry. “How long have they been dating?” Your mother never said a length of time, only that she was dating someone.
“I’m not too sure, but I know it’s been over six months.”
“She kept it a secret from me.” You concluded. To be honest, it hurt that she kept something that big from you.
“My dad is the same, but he’s been that way all my life. I found out about his affair from someone at school. So that should tell you everything you need to know.”
That was rough. “I’m sorry, Colby.”
He just shrugged. “I’m over it now.” But you didn’t know if he was, but you weren’t going to push him.
The both of you carried the food into the dining room, where your mom and his dad were deep in conversation. The two of them looked up when you entered the room. You placed the food onto the table and took your seats, which happened to be right next to each other. Your mom and his dad were on one side and you and Colby were on the other.
You were still in shock that your crush was right here in front of you. You were double shocked that your mom was dating his dad. How in the world did that happen?
“It’s good to have you home, Y/n.” Your mom said as you started to plate the food.
“Thanks mom. It’s good to be home.” You didn’t know how truthful she was being though because the two of you haven’t gotten along for all of your life. She’s blamed you for your dad leaving and treated you like crap for it.
Dinner went on like that, with idle conversation and moments of silence. Truth be told, it was awkward as hell. You kept stealing glances at Colby, to find him pushing his food around before he would glance your way as well. You would always look away while a light blush appeared on your face.
“Alright kids, now that we have finished dinner, we wanted to talk to you about something.” John said once all the plates had been cleared.
“Sure.” Colby said, while you just nodded.
“We wanted to take a family vacation, so we can get to know each other’s family. So we booked a vacation to Boca Raton for a week.” Your mom said catching the two of you off guard.
“Oh, okay. But you know I have a job to start, right?” You stated.
“Yes sweetie, I know your job doesn’t start until next month and we leave in two days.”
“Great.” Colby’s voice was void of emotions. Like you, he wasn’t thrilled about your parents attempts to mesh the families together.
“You don’t sound too thrilled about this, Colby.” John noticed.
“I’m not. I’m being forced to get to know your new girlfriend and her daughter when I would rather not be involved. It’s not going to go anywhere, just liked the rest of them. You will probably cheat again.”
His words were harsh, but you could definitely see where he was coming from. But you couldn’t help but feel he had a dislike for you simply because your mom was dating his dad.
“That’s where you are wrong. I love Susanne and we are going to make this work whether you like it or not.” John was defensive against his moody son.
“Whatever you say. Are we finished here? I have somewhere to be.” He pushed his chair from the table and got up.
“I’m sorry, Sue, I don’t know where he got the attitude from. I promise he will be better on the trip.” You just rolled my eyes and stood up and started gathering the empty plates. Your mother followed John and Colby out while you started to clean up.
You were washing the dishes, when your mother entered the kitchen behind you.
“So Y/n, did you like John?” She questioned while you glanced over at her.
“I don’t know him enough to know whether I do or not.” You said truthfully.
“Well you should like him. He makes me happy and I’m in love with him.”
A sick feeling formed in your stomach.
“How long have you two been dating?” You needed to know how long she kept it a secret from you.
“Ten months.”
“You kept it a secret from me for 10 months!” You raised your voice as the anger took over. You put the sponge down and turned to face her.
“Yes, we didn’t talk much, and I didn’t think it was that big of a thing to keep from you. Besides, you were busy with college and whatever else you were doing at your fathers, I didn’t want to bother you.”
Her excuse was pure bullshit to you. “Save the shitty excuse and admit you didn’t think about telling me.” You growled turning away from her.
“What? No honey, why would you think that. You’re my daughter and you mean a lot to me.”
Once again you faced her, “I mean a lot to you? That’s a fucking lie. You blamed me all my life for my father leaving you, but you didn’t stop to think about that fact that he left me too. You made my life hell because you weren’t happy with yours. What kind of mother does that?”
She just laughed it off. “You’re overexaggerating it. Now finish the dishes, I’m going to relax.” Before you could say another word, she was out the door.
****
Two days later, you were sitting in an airport, with Colby beside you and both your parents in some seats across from you. Both of you were equally unhappy to be here, while both parents acted like lovebirds. It was honestly gross to watch.
“Holy fuck, do they ever stop.” You groaned, taking your eyes away from them.
“Nope, they are constantly all over each other.” Colby stated looking down at his phone. “You seem angry.” He noticed.
“I am.” You grumbled, thinking about the conversation you had with your mother the other day. Like always, she managed to make you feel like shit instead of acknowledging her wrong doings.
“What did she do?” His focus was now strictly on you.
“She didn’t think telling me about her new boyfriend was important. She practically admitted to forgetting I existed once I was out of the house. Growing up with her as my mother was hell and she has never once apologized for the shit she did to me. For years, she blamed me for her and my fathers divorce. I was 4 when they divorced.” You said making sure your voice was low, so she wouldn’t hear it.
Colby was silent for a little while. “That’s horrible. What kind of mother blames their child for a divorce?”
“Mine apparently. Now she wants to suddenly act like it didn’t happen.”
“Well I think that’s bullshit. I can see right through them, you know. They are just using each other for company. My father has never been able to be faithful, every woman he has dated were all just an excuse to have some fun. He also resents my mom for moving on from him and marrying someone whose better to her.”
“That’s fucked.”
“You’re telling me. My father is immune to commitment.”
“We have some fucked up parents.” He nodded and sent a glare to both your parents who were giggling to themselves.
The flight was called shortly after that, so the two of you followed your parents onto the plane. Colby and you were going to be sitting next to complete strangers, while your parents snuggled up together. It was not fun. Your flight was annoying, because the middle-aged man beside you kept checking you out and trying to talk to you, despite you politely telling him you weren’t interested in conversing. It was complete hell.
Arriving in Boca Raton was a godsend because you couldn’t stand being next to this guy anymore. The last half hour of the flight, he spent it trying to guess your name and persuade your number out of you. You were seconds away from punching him, but luckily the plane landed, and you were able to get out of there quickly. Colby sent you a look as you exited the plane, you just grumbled under your breath.
“Well that flight was wonderful, wasn’t it kids?” Your mother asked as John waited for the luggage to come around.
“Fuck no. That was the worst flight I have ever taken.” You said, holding your anger back.
“Oh sweetie, lighten up. We’re on vacation.” Her words sparked even more anger.
“The old guy next to me kept hitting on me and wouldn’t shut the fuck up the whole flight.”
“Watch your language.” Was all she said before she strolled up to stand beside John.
Colby just chuckled from beside you. You sent him a glare and walked away from the group. You didn’t want to be here with them. You didn’t want to spend a whole week with your mom and her boyfriend that you knew nothing about. You didn’t want to spend the whole week pining over Colby when you knew he would never like you the way you liked him. He and you were still in completely different circles and he liked his women blonde and gorgeous. You were anything but that. Okay maybe you’re pretty, but you still thought of yourself as the nerd from high school and you didn’t doubt he did as well.
John and your mother ushered all of you to a rental car, and you were off to the hotel. Colby and you were in the back, silently sitting beside each other. He was on his phone, probably talking to a girlfriend or something.
“Oh, I almost forgot. John upgraded his and I’s room to a suite, but you and Colby will be sharing a regular room.” Your mother said with a huge smile on her face.
“That’s great.” Colby grumbled from beside you, voicing your thoughts out loud.
“Don’t sound so sad. It will be good for you to get to know each other.” John stated sternly, showing authority over Colby.
“Sure, whatever.” Colby said under his breath. you hid your smirk from his words. He nudged your side when he saw that.
You were nervous as hell now. You would be sharing a room with Colby. The man you’ve had a crush on for nearly 10 years. This was going to be one hell of an experience; you were sure of it.
The car pulled up to the hotel, which was this huge building that looked like it had been here for a while. It was beautiful and right on the beach as well. It was surely a resort and perhaps it wouldn’t be a horrible place to stay. But your nerves were still on edge about this whole vacation. Your moms attachment to Colby’s dad scared you.
Colby and you were given the keycards to the room before your parents left both of you alone to fend for yourselves. Honestly, their behavior was disgusting to you.
“Let’s get to our room I guess.” Colby grumbled, picking up his suitcase and heading towards the elevators in the opposite direction of where our parents had gone. You quickly grabbed yours and followed after him.
The two of you stepped into a gold-plated elevator and he hit the eighth floor, where your room was located. You felt like he was resenting you, because he would have to spend the whole week with you.
“I’m sorry that you have to stay with me.” You mumbled as the elevator moved up floor by floor.
The angry scowl left his face as he glanced towards you. “No, I don’t mind staying with you. I’m mad at our parents for just springing all of this onto us last minute.”
You let out a sigh of relief when he said this. You really thought he hated you or something.
“Oh, I thought you hated me.” You admitted while looking towards the carpeted floor of the elevator.
“I don’t hate you, Y/n. I haven’t ever really hated you, even when I was dating Paige.” His words surprised you.
“Really? Then why was I treated like crap when you dated her?” There was no way he didn’t hate you then.
“Because Paige was always a huge bitch and blackmailed me into treating you that way.”
“Oh, well it’s okay then.”
He shook his head. “It’s not okay at all really. I should have never done some of the things I have done. But I was horrible in high school after my parents’ divorce.”
“Well it’s good to know you didn’t and don’t hate me. Also, don’t blame yourself for the way you acted as a result of the divorce. It was traumatic to you and you only did what helped you feel better.”
“I guess so. I wish I could take so much back.”
“That’s impossible, but you can continue to be a better person from now into the future.” It wasn’t good that he was beating himself up over the past.
He sent you a kind smile. “You’re right. Thank you for that, Y/n.”
You sent him a smile as well. “No problem. Now, should we get this vacation started?” You questioned as the two of you stopped in front of the door to the room.
Colby opened the door and the two of you entered the room. It was a surprisingly nice room for it being a regular room. There was two queen sized beds, covered in crème sheets and comfy looking pillows. There was a decently sized sitting area with a nice flat screen TV. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a huge, jetted tub and a beautiful walk-in shower. The best part was the private balcony we had that overlooked the beautiful blue ocean. Staying here wasn’t going to be so bad.
“This is way nicer than I expected.” He spoke your thoughts.
“Yes, I agree. But this is an upscale hotel.” You stated as you set your bags down on one of the two beds. The beds looked so comfy, you wanted to just take a nap at the moment.
“True.” He answered when his phone went off. He was silent as he checked it. “Our parents want us to meet up in the Lobby at 7 for dinner.” His voice was flat when he mentioned the parents.
“Oh great. Well, that means there’s time for a nap.” You moved your bags from the bed and pulled your shoes off. You pulled back the covers and got into the comfy bed. Your body was in bliss the minute you laid down on the bed. It was absolutely perfect. Your eyes grew heavy as soon as your head hit the pillow. The nap was much needed.

Dance the Night Away: Peter Parker X Reader
A/N: This ain’t following any particular timeline – let’s just say... idk, after Far from Home, maybe?
WARNING: use of the ‘P’ word (Flash being Flash)
Tumblr media
Peter walked down the hallway amidst the chatter, trying to reach his locker as the crowd grew thicker and thicker, making it impossible for him to even see properly. Which was until a hand seized his wrist and pulled him through, letting go of him as he smashed into the storage compartment with force enough to make his brains rattle.
“Oops, sorry,” you said with a sheepish smile.
Peter had turned to thank whoever it was, but, catching sight of you, he groaned. Not that he didn’t like you – you and Peter had been best friends since you were eight years old. Recently, however, a banner had been put up by the senior girls announcing that prom would be taking place the following Saturday. And with only about five days left, you had taken to pestering Peter into going, hoping that if you’d fling the question unexpectedly, Peter would get scared into answering. You had, however, no luck so far.
“Y/N, I know what you’re going to say,” Peter warningly began, “And I don’t wanna hear it.”
“But I wanna say it,” you said, “And that I shall. Peter, come on! It’s a crucial life experience! I mean, you’re studying all the time these days, and I get it, you have a clear view of your future, and I’m happy for you. But pleeeaaaaaaase, just do it for me? It’s one night, Peter, come on! One night where you have to let go and just have fun! After that, we can go back to making circuit boards together like we used to, but just this once? C’mon, don’t tell me you’re turning me down.”
As you took a deep breath after this whole rant and Peter took one look at your sincere smile, he sighed.
“... Fine,” he mumbled.
Your eyes grew wide. Surely you’d misheard?
“What?” you asked, “Louder, please?”
“Fine!” Peter bellowed loudly so that a dozen heads turned in your direction and people began snickering.
Not caring in the least, you flashed a wide smile before engulfing Peter into a huge hug, speaking, “Thank you so much! It’ll be the best experience of your life, Peter!”
“Yes, that means better than your spiderman stuff,” you whispered in an undertone as Peter said a disbelieving, “Come on!”
Needless to say, you had finally convinced Peter to go to prom. Now came the hard part. Truth was, you had liked Peter since you were both, what, fourteen? Convincing Peter to go to prom was a task for the strong, but asking him to be your date? No way would he feel the same. Peter had never ever hinted, that your relationship could be more. In fact, he felt rather frantic to prove it couldn’t be more – something that convinced you that you did not belong together and that, someday, you would have to get over this silly little crush. Still, seeing Peter go to prom with any girl who made him happy was enough for you.
“Right, now that we’re going,” you said the following morning, when he’d found you standing next to his locker, waiting for him to arrive.
Peter sighed, “Mm hmm?”
“We need dates,” you ignored his disinterest.
“Do you have one?” asked Peter.
“It.... it’s complicated,” you muttered.
Peter crossed his arms, “Listening.”
You shot him a glare before sighing and telling him, “There’s... there’s this boy I like. I was really hoping he would ask me to homecoming back then, and I turned down anybody who asked me just to chase that blind belief. Guess what? He didn’t ask me. And I know he won’t now, but I don’t know... something inside me still hopes he would.”
“So, you’re scared to say yes to anyone in case he asked you but scared to say no to everyone in case he doesn’t ask you?” Peter clarified, causing you to laugh.
“Sounds about right.” you muttered, “But hey, enough about me, what about you? We need a date for you. Do you have anyone in mind?”
“Not really,” Peter shrugged.
“Okay....” you said slowly, “Well, I’ll just list off people you would be happy with as they come to my mind... maybe you can ask one of them.”
“Fire away.”
“Okay... well, there’s Emma Jones from my biology class,” you began, “And she’s really nice.”
“Not my type.”
“Oh,” you frowned, “Okay... Alyssa from P.E?”
“The one who said spiderman sucks? No thanks.”
“Zoe from English?”
“Nope.”
“Ava from chemistry lab?”
“Meh.”
“... MJ?” you asked in defeat as Peter incredulously looked at you (A/N: sorry MJ, I love you <3).
“Okay, fine,” you snapped, “I’m done helping. Let me know if you find someone?”
Peter gave another nod as the two of you made your way to class.
------
You were panicking. Two days were all that were left, and so far, you had turned down countless boys including Flash Gordon who had swore and made rude hand gestures at you as a way to handle rejection. You didn’t know what was wrong – why was this impossible hope of Peter asking you still clouding your possibilities of a relationship?
Peter knew nothing of this – yet he annoyed you. If he was too blind to notice that you were madly in love with him, why did the very sight of his face make your brain go empty?
Now with one day left and nobody to ask you, you slumped moodily throughout the day, not talking and sitting silently at lunchtime, stabbing your potatoes pretending that it was your feelings for Peter.
“Okay you’re freaking me out now,” Peter said as the two of you were walking home and you still hadn’t opened your mouth.
“No date – again. God, this is just like homecoming,” you groaned.
Peter looked surprised.
“I thought a lot of guys asked you?”
“They did!” you moaned, “It’s just – that guy, I don’t know why he has this effect on me. It’s like – we weren’t meant to be together or maybe I wasn’t meant to go out with anyone ever.”
“Hey, that’s not true,” said Peter with something new in his expression. Behind the terribly unconvincing ‘concerned best friend’ mask, you saw a flicker of something... smugness? No, you were dreaming. You hadn’t eaten all day – this was probably a side-effect.
“You know what, I’m gonna grab a sandwich at Delmar’s,” you muttered, “I haven’t eaten since morning. Do you want to come?”
“Sorry, I promised May I’d come home,” he sheepishly said, “She wanted me to go get an outfit with her.”
“Oh,” you snickered, “Good luck with that. See you tomorrow!”
“See you.”
And with a heavy heart, you walked away from your only chance of having the person you cared about most as your date to prom.
--------
“Oh god, what was I thinking?” you muttered, staring the reflection of you in a(n) F/C dress with your hair styled <inert preferred style here>.
“This is stupid!” you said to no one in particular, before taking a deep breath and walking to the apartment across from yours and knocking on the door.
The door opened to reveal Peter.
“Oh, good you’re here, this will take just a second, May wants to –” he stopped abruptly, staring at you with eyes round as saucers.
“Um,” you began, he still kept staring.
“Earth to Peter, you still in there?” you snapped your fingers in front of his face as he blinked and turned a delicate shade of red.
“You – you look nice,” he managed to choke out.
“Thanks...?” you said, walking inside and taking a seat on the couch.
“Okay, um, M-may will take us there in her c-car, she’ll be h-here any moment, let’s just w-wait.”
“Pete, you having a stroke or something?” you asked in concern.
“No, I’m fine.” (A/N: he’s not 😉)
As if she had sensed Peter’s need to be rescued, Aunt May came walking into the room. She stopped at the sight of her nephew staring slightly at you, who was examining a coffee mug on the table. Smiling to herself, she cleared her throat.
Both of you jumped in surprise.
“We’re ready to go,” May stated, as the two of you got to your feet, following her to the car.
----------
“This was a mistake, wasn’t it?” you asked, looking at the doors of your school gym which were closed ominously.
“Why?” asked Peter in surprise, “I thought you wanted to go?”
“I do,” you admitted, “But – we don’t have dates, it’ll look so... lame.”
Peter scoffed, “Y/N, do you really need the dimwits that attend this school to justify how many cool points you have?”
“Not exactly,” you said in surprise, feeling slightly better.
“Yeah, come on, let’s just do it. Together, okay?” asked Peter as you nodded.
You both took nervous, deep breaths before pushing the doors open to reveal the commotion inside.
--------
You two were walking across the gym, interestedly examining the decorations ang pulling faces at the couples which were making out, till you bumped into something hard.
“OOF!” you groaned, falling to the floor.
“You okay?” Peter asked hurriedly, pulling you to your feet. As you both turned to look who it was, you were surprised to see Flash standing there with his mouth hanging open.
“No way,” he said, gaping, “HEY EVERYONE, LOOK! IT’S DATELESS L/N AND PENIS PARKER!”
You groaned as a million heads turned your way and slowly, the laughter broke out, jeers of the obscene names Flash had called you now echoing off the walls.
“Haha, real funny, Flash,” Peter said sarcastically, but once he saw your near-tears expression, he seized your wrist and pulled you out of the gym into the open.
“Come on,” he pacifyingly said, “Don’t cry over him, Y/N! He’s not worth it.”
“This is homecoming all over again,” you groaned, struggling to contain your tears, “School dances were never meant for me. Let’s just – let’s just go home and finish making that model spaceship we were working on.”
“Sounds like a worthwhile night to me,” Peter shrugged, tossing a brave smile your way, “You don’t need prom to be happy, you know. Let’s go.”
And so the two of you walked home, talking amongst yourselves, being the best friends you’d been since eight.
Best friends.
The sound of that word made your blood boil hot. How naïve were you? This was absolutely perfect – a million guys on the planet and you chose to fall for one who would never see you the same way.
As your apartment building came closer, Peter cleared his throat and spoke, “Wait in the living room with May for ten minutes. I have a surprise for you.”
“Seriously?” you asked, taken aback.
“Yeah, why not?”
“What is it?” you asked curiously.
Peter cocked an eyebrow.
“Kinda missing the point of a surprise if I told you what it was.”
“Makes sense,” you agreed, “Okay, but make it quick. I’m dying of curiosity.”
“You’ll live for another ten minutes,” Peter assured you.
Your curiosity was now bubbling to the surface like boiling water threatening to spill. You thought of what Peter could possibly have to surprise you, and you stopped to sit on a couch in the living room next to Peter’s aunt.
After exhausting every possibility (each as unlikely as the next), Peter finally dragged you ti the door of his room.
“... I’ve seen your room before, you know,” you laughed slightly.
“That’s not the surprise,” Peter playfully rolled his eyes, “Okay, close your eyes.”
“Jesus, Peter,” you snorted as his hands placed themselves over your eyes, “You are such a drama queen.”
“Open them... now!”
And you opened your eyes to see that the usual clutter surrounding Peter’s room had been cleared away, leaving some space for god-knows-what in the middle of it.
“Wow, you finally cleaned your room!” you exclaimed, “That is a surprise.”
“That’s still not the surprise!” Peter whined, “C’mere.”
He grabbed your hand and pulled you close as your brain clouded with confusion. What the heck was going on?
Peter threw his phone aside as a light waltz began playing through the air. Peter placed one hand on your waist and the other one to grab yours as your confusion cleared away.
“You said you wanted to go to prom,” Peter stated as you two swayed on the spot, moving slightly to the music, “You didn’t say where. Now we’re away from judgy eyes, we can be weird.”
“Seriously, Peter?” you giggled at his dorkiness, “I never knew you were so cute.”
The words had slipped from your mouth before you had time to think them through. You were praying he didn’t hear you, but a hitch in his breath made your heart drop.
“You – you think I’m cute?” Peter asked, blushing furiously.
“Well,” you sighed, there was no backing out of this, “... Yeah, I do.”
You looked down, refusing to meet his eyes.
“And the guy you wanted to get asked by...?” Peter didn’t need to finish his question; he knew you understood.
“Yes,” you whispered, tears brimming at the corner of your eyes once more.
You sucked in a deep breath and looked up, “Look, Peter, I know you don’t feel the same and it’s honestly okay –”
“Shut up,” Peter mumbled, his lips brushing over yours. Your lips brushed together a few times as the both of you melted into the addicting sensation, not aware of the surroundings, not caring in the least. To Peter, all that mattered in that moment, was you.
You two pulled apart after a while, both blushing like crazy with no idea what to do next. It was you who spoke first, shyly.
“I – I think it’s a good thing we’re alone right now. That would be an embarrassing yearbook photo.”
