Super glad the UT and DR wikis moved off of fandom, that place sucks. Now if only I could edit Papyrus' page. Then it would be perfect (or at least much better). But no, they want people who want to edit the pages to join a discord. Why can't I just email someone with my List of Grievances.
Which include but are not limited to:
Tumblr media
HE IS NOT OBLIVIOUS IN THE NO MERCY ROUTE! HE IS *pulls out megaphone*
THE ONLY CHARACTER WHO POINTS OUT THAT THE HUMAN IS COVERED IN DUST!!!!!
Tumblr media
The wiki page also calls him oblivious an additional two times. What if I bit people. What then. Who could truly stop me.
Tumblr media
Aren't Wikis supposed to like. ATTEMPT. Writing about the subject with a neutral tone? What's this horseshit where the author is OBVIOUSLY implying "You might think he's smart but he likes KID STUFF! THAT MEANS HE'S A FUCKING IDIOT!!!" How about I hunt you for sport. How do you think every adult with toys from their childhood/toys they bought because they WANTED THEM feels reading this sentence that makes an unfounded assertion about this fictional character's intelligence based on something TOTALLY NORMAL.
Tumblr media
*Wikipedia editor voice* [citation needed]
Okay so this is something that actually makes me SUPER angry. IT IS NOT STATED BY ANYONE, ANYWHERE, THAT PAPYRUS IS NOT PAID FOR HIS DUTIES AS A SENTRY. It is only stated that Sans pays all the rent. But what about electricity. Water. Cable. Internet. Food. Puzzle maintenance supplies. PAPYRUS STRAIGHT UP SAYS HE PAYS TAXES (the Snowdin Snowball Tax). As someone who is an Expert at being unemployed (I am disabled) YOU DO NOT PAY TAXES UNLESS YOU HAVE A JOB THAT PAYS YOU.
THIS MEANS HE HAS AN INCOME TAX. WHICH MEANS HE HAS INCOME.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Papyrus is BASICALLY the MAYOR OF SNOWDIN. UNDYNE IS HIS FRIEND!!! She's his boss too, so don't you think she would feel LIKE SHIT IF SHE DIDN'T PAY HIM TO MAINTAIN AND BUILD ALL THOSE PUZZLES? FOR HIS DAILY PATROLS? HIS REPORTS? Politics bear refers to Papyrus talking to Undyne as "politics".
And it all comes back to this ridiculous double standard people have for Sans and Papyrus where they assert Sans' Sentry work is paid (even though Undyne admits he does only just enough to not be fired), but Papyrus' isn't. Sans is a Darkner but Papyrus Isn't. Sans is secretly a Human but Papyrus Isn't. Sans is a Boss Monster (like Asgore and Toriel) but Papyrus Isn't. HELL SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE SANS IS IN THE ROYAL GUARD AND PAPYRUS ISN'T AND THAT'S HOW THEY JUSTIFY THINKING SANS IS PAID AND PAPYRUS IS NOT.
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
Anyways this post was incited by me checking the new wiki and seeing that not a single thing that bothered me about Papyrus' page from the old one has been edited. And the last time I checked it was August 30th 2021. Here's the post I made then, with screenshots I took on March 29th 2020. Yeah. The exact same biased writing for over 5 years. Maybe longer. I don't know when they were originally written.

Notes: Anaxagoras drabble pre-release because I simply can't resist a blasphemous scholar. Steal this and you're getting every airborne pathogen I know. Tags: Anaxagoras x reader, implied friends to .... well, sfw, 800 words Minors DNI
The forces governing all phenomena must operate based on universal fact. An all-encompassing set of 'laws' when explained through our language. But how do we even begin to comprehend what we cannot perceive, and by what means do we discover the blind spots?
Anaxagoras had always been fascinated by that which he could not explain, a trait coveted by adults when you were both children. The pace with which his knowledge expanded had been nearly frightening, swallowing it up as though a vortex existed in his midst.
"Truth," he continued, one hand covering an eye as he peered into the starlit night, "is what we make of it, what each of us can perceive and prophecy the bridge between what we know and what we see."
A soft hum left your lips, merely signaling that your attention was still on him. The two of you had been friends for far longer than a decade, so used to the ideas spurred on by his now scorned curiosity that nothing he said could rattle you. Not even the idea of prophecies being lies.
"But there must be something, somewhere, that perceives all, possibly even orchestrating it."
Your hand left the cold rock that you were both resting atop, reaching towards the stars alongside his. Blots of ink and faint red lines from where paper had cut his skin stained the delicate hands that had wiped countless tears from your cheeks.
His monologue halted for a moment when your fingers laced with his, guiding his hand back down to place a kiss in his palm. The content sigh he let out made you smile, knowing you'd once more halted his detachment from the ground. If not for the fragility of the physical body, surely his spirit would've long since taken a seat among the stars.
"I propose the existence of a 'mind' governing and ordering everything. If all is made from the same base components, it must be given shape to create all that we see," his voice had softened to an almost melancholic tone, "I will not pretend to know the laws that govern all, but this must be part of the truth as I view it. I've termed it 'Nous', the cosmic mind ordering homogenous chaos into this-"
A white flower was placed in your hand, the rarity of the gesture translating to something foreboding as you completed his sentence, "orderly chaos, but chaos nonetheless."
Worse still was the feeling when he moved your hand to rest atop his heartbeat. "I'm almost led to believe you pay attention to my words." Even with the lightness of his words, nothing in their meaning lessened the weight settling on your soul.
Still, it would be cruel to let it show, instead responding in a way he knew, nudging his shoulder gently. "I always do."
Satisfied, Anaxagoras saw fit to continue, "This Nous, of course, implies the existence of not only life beyond what we know, but also of forces mightier than our Titans."
"Have you heard what they're calling you?"
He turned his head, bright eyes piercing both the darkness and your heart, "A fool? I-"
"Some of them take it further than that, calling you a blasphemer," truly, you had no desire to oppose the man beside you, the regret no doubt seeping into your words, "maybe exercising some restraint in public would do you good?"
It was unreasonable for him to cup your cheek at a time like this, your throat tightening in anticipation of the gentle press of lips against your own.
"Only those with something to hide are angered by questions," his words were almost lost to the ringing in your ears, "the truth I've suggested challenges the validity of their prophesies, should it not then be their honor to disprove me instead of lashing out like cornered beasts?"
You let him guide you closer by the back of your neck, foreheads touching when the words you'd been dreaded were spoken into existence. "I'm leaving."
"I know," your voice trembled far more than you would've liked, his attempts at gently rubbing your skin all but soothing this time. You'd always known this day would come, his bearing in itself enough to know that his path would be a lonely one.
"I'll present my ideas at the Grove of Epiphany, blind faith in the Chrysos Heirs and a prophecy alone cannot be the only way forward. I will force their eyes closed if I must to let them glimpse reality beyond what they see."
You inhaled his scent, fresh and crisp like a cold morning in the sun, determined to commit it to memory, so engrossed that you barely heard the whispered apology and a confession better lost to the breeze.

So, Apollo and jewellery!!
I want to start off by saying that Apollo (or any male god, really) wearing jewellery is not a common occurrence in the ancient greco-roman art forms. So there's not a lot you can get, but I've put together whatever I've found so far.
On the vase paintings, you'll find body chains across his chest and there's bracelets too:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ He also has a leg bracelet in this one
In this painting, along with a body chain and a bracelet, there's a thigh band and a finger ring as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we have waist belts. I did entertain the possibility of this being an embroidered belt. However in the first image, the belt is gilded with gold, so imo it's meant to be a belt with gilded gold, if not made entirely of gold.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this Etruscan painting representing Apollo going to/coming back from Hyperborea on a swan, he's wearing necklaces.
Tumblr media
Apollo wearing a necklace and an arm band seems to be a fairly common sight in the Etruscan art (so Aplu, technically ig), as seen in these two statuettes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and some Etruscan mirror arts:
Tumblr media
Now moving onto the diadems! A diadem referred to something you could tie your hair with - it could be a ribbon, a wreath of fresh leaves, or a jewelled wreath/head piece - it's the last one that I'm counting as jewellery. Diadems like the one Apollo is wearing below were usually worn by noblewomen.
Tumblr media
You can also find depictions of Apollo with a jewelled wreath on his head. They resemble a laurel wreath, but they're made of gold, and have gems embedded. Here's a statue for example:
Tumblr media
There are also Roman frescos and mosaics that show you what it actually looks like in color.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here, you can see not just a gold diadem, but also bracelets on both his hands as well as anklets on his legs:
Tumblr media
And there's what seems to be earrings as well? But honestly I'm not that sure, it could just be a damage on the fresco (even if that's the case, we can still appreciate the winged eyeliner amirite)
Tumblr media
There's also this fresco of Apollo judging a beauty contest between Venus and Hesperus. Here he is not wearing a gold wreath, but there is a gold band upon his head:
Tumblr media
And unlike other pieces of jewellery, you'll find literary references as well for Apollo's diadem:
"When Apollo was born, Zeus equipped him with golden headband and lyre and gave him also a chariot of swans to drive" – Alcaeus, Hymn to Apollo (trans. David A. Campbell)
"Apollo puts his hair in order by shaping his flowing locks with soft foliage and braiding it with a golden diadem." – Virgil, Aeneid 4 (trans. Ingo Gildenhard)
"...he fastens bay about his lyre and the woven brilliance of his coronet, and ungirds his breast of the pictured girdle..." – Statius, Thebaid 6 (trans. J. H. Mozley)
"But you will say, Phoibos has a goldgleaming diadem." – Nonnus, Dionysiaca 4 (trans. William Henry Denham Rouse)
[Inscription]: "Apollo the mighty, Lord incomparable of the Diadem, who hath set up statues of the Gods in this kingdom" – Ammianus Marcellinus, History 17 (trans. John Carew Rolfe)
[Inscription]: "Mighty Apollo, seated upon truth, Lord of the Diadem, who hath gloriously honoured Egypt as his peculiar possession" – Ammianus Marcellinus, History 17 (trans. John Carew Rolfe)
And that's pretty much everything I've come across so far. I was a bit surprised at the lack of literary references for the effeminate gods. Not just Apollo, even Dionysus' effeminacy is described by his fair face and long hair and perfumed garments, and there are no mentions of jewellery afaik. But of course, just like with Apollo, you can find jewellery on Dionysus in the visual arts.

aziraphale, the one who gave the first human exiles his flaming sword as both a source of protection and warmth, who did not look on them as sinners deserving of destruction but people entitled to the best chances possible, has never once looked at crowley, a heavenly exile, with anything other than compassion and a desire to protect. from their first meeting, he never wanted anything bad to happen to him. when crowley slithers up to him in eden, he treats him like an equal rather than an adversary. when crowley appears, his eyes fill with love and excitement, his gaze turns soft and hesitant, his whole body seizes with joy of seeing him. crowley might typically the one to seek him out, but aziraphale has always welcomed him home.
