assigning PJSK characters media i've enjoyed at some point that i think they'd like:

Ichika- Omori (themes of a friend group drifting away... yeah. is it ever actually said if Ichika likes gaming? cause i get the feeling that she would)

Saki- Lego Friends (the Lego itself i imagine could've been a fun activity to pass time during her hospital years, but i imagine her also being entertained by the various animated series)

Shiho- Sumikko Gurashi (she seems to like cute things secretly, plus two of the mascots are penguins)

Honami- Strawberry Shortcake (i loved it when i was younger and it has such Honami vibes, she canonically likes baking and desserts, as does Strawberry Shortcake's titular character)

Minori- Little Witch Academia (i feel like she would soooo relate to Akko's insane persistence and ambition despite not succeeding immediately. plus, cute witch show and Minori is cute, and a witch in that one card set)

Haruka- Octonauts (can imagine it being a favourite childhood show. like me, her favourite would definitely be Peso, the penguin character)

Airi- Disney Princess movies (especially the ones with a lot of action like Brave, Mulan and Frozen)

Shizuku- Lego Elves (the prettiest Lego theme in my opinion!! Shizuku gives me the vibe that she'd like fantasy :D)

Kohane- Adventure Time (idk i can just imagine Kohane liking cartoons in her free time)

An- She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (action and friendship and lesbians!!)

Akito- SK8 The Infinity (just... vibes. also cause i saw a post once that pointed out the parallels between him + Toya and Reki + Langa from SK8)

Toya- Your Lie in April (can imagine the character of Kousei hitting him pretty hard, even if his circumstance wasn't quite as extreme as Kousei's)

Tsukasa- A3! (it's fitting for W x S in general though since much of the story at the beginning is about restoring and saving a theatre. Tsukasa would probably relate to the Tenma in THAT game due to both of them having, err... self assured personalities)

Emu- Hello Kitty (ESPECIALLY that old series, Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theatre!! loved those when i was younger and i think it's perfect for Emu- cute iconic cat mascot AND theatre)

Nene- Six the Musical (she likes musicals and that's one of the only ones i've seen soooo)

Rui- Voltron Legendary Defender (you know he tried to recreate the robot himself)

Kanade- Witch's Heart (i believe canon says that she likes video game tracks but doesn't play them herself cause she gets lost in the music, and Witch's Heart has some great music)

Mafuyu- Coraline (perhaps the Other Mother would somewhat remind her of her own...)

Ena- TBHK (i think, like me, the unique art style of that anime would have caught her eye)

Mizuki- Barbie movies (especially the ones that had fashion elements like Fashion Fairytale and Thumbelina)

Thoughts on the hc that Dazai has a glass eye?

I'm just imagining Dazai getting injured on a case on his blind side, and Kunikida berates him and drags him to Yosano.

And Yosano is like "Really, again? How did it happen this time?" And Kunikida says "Idiot wasn't paying attention."

Dazai "No I was, its just my blind side."

And they both freak out because why? How? Huh? But his eye looks fine?

Yosano: Well, I can schedule an appointment and we can see if we can get you surgery or something-

Dazai: Oh its unsalvagable, I'm blind on that side.

Kunikida: Why does your eye look fine then??? (He thinks Dazai is fucking with him)

Dazai just smiles, reaches up and pull the glass eye out. Kunikida screams.

Oh my gosh alsksjdjfjf honestly I think this hc is great just for that potential moment of screaming confusion on Kunikida’s part, Dazai absolutely would do that XD

I guess in general I haven’t thought much about the implications of Dazai bandaging that eye! I know I’ve definitely seen fics and stuff where his vision is off in that eye in one way or another (@feralrookie wrote a fantastic soulmate AU where Dazai’s soulmark is on that eye and it gutted me in the best way). I think it’s really fun to see where different people go with it :0

I do think it’s interesting that he swaps which eye he bandages in the Beast universe…that feels like it has Implications but I’m not sure what they are, I’m not very skilled at analysis lol —Although, slightly related, I do love the moment in the Dark Era where Oda pulls those bandages off as he dies, because it seems like a visual representation of how much Dazai was hindering himself in the mafia (seriously, if there isn’t anything wrong with that eye, that means the dude was shooting guns without precise depth perception seemingly just for the heck of it) and then Oda pulls them off as he tells him to go live in the light and just aaaaaaaaaaaaa I am never not going to be emotional about the dark era ;;

…anyway this got off topic, basically all this to say I think that I think it’s cool how many different interpretations of it there are, and you could definitely do a lot with the glass eye headcanon alskjdjdjd

Pet Peeves/Dealbreakers: I had about three paragraphs here but the tl;dr is don't be weird about villains. Please don't be weird. It's so uncomfortable. It puts me off from writing villains. I will put them all away and hide them forever because people get so weird about them. I just wanna do bad things and have complex feelings. And you know, not be told really weird stuff.

Best Time to Write: It's evening but hey, sometimes I wake up early and you'll see me on. So don't set a clock around me if you're trying to catch me.

Are you like your muse?: Too many muses to think about here and if I'm like them. I can be very nice and sweet but then I go to rabid, screaming Jersey accent in five seconds. Just ask my fiancé. So uh no, not so far. I guess I'll have to run a poll on which character I'm most like at some point. But if we franken character a bit from everyone, I'd say yes. Also if only I was able to be that good of a DM like Leshy. Without the camera thing, booooo you don't make friends that way.

TLO because the main trio are some really great characters and i love love LOVE getting to see the ink from an outsiders perspective. also Tom <3. and TIOL is just iconic in every way because its Joey monologuing at you for like 300 pages and Nathan Arch being the height of comedy in the footnotes.

but if i had to choose one it'd be TLO! mostly because im having severe brainrot of it rn LMAO. though i recommend reading DCTL before TLO, and TIOL whenever, because the first two are narratives that lowkey tie into each other.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? oh gosh.... maybe no matter what tomorrow brings, which i wrote for kinktober 2021? the ending is fairly sweet, but it's 7x11 canon compliant, so we all know they say goodbye the next day 😭

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? definitely an exception to the rule. it's the only wedding i've ever written lol.

Getting to Know You - Tag Game

1. Three ships: Ships that I consistently read in 2022-23

Gosh this one's hard because I still tend to revisit older/slowed down fandoms from time to time... and also am definitely a multishipper for most characters I like.

Since I've been wholly consumed by MDZS/Jiang Cheng brainrot right now it's mostly some flavor of Jiang Cheng/Happiness. I'm definitely an 'AllCheng, AnyCheng, NoCheng, WhateverCheng' enjoyer.

By volume (by availability on Ao3) that means ChengQing, Xicheng, Sangcheng, ChengXian but I'm down for others like ChengSu and ChengNing and various other configurations too! Somewhat limited by being mostly a novel fan so pairings that tend to be heavily based in CQL canon don't always resonate with me as much.

For non-JC ships I've recently gotten way more interested in Xiyao

Outside MDZS I've been occasionally hitting up some old favorites in less active fandoms like HakYona from Akatsuki no Yona, RoyAi & LingFan & AlMei (FMA), Reylo (Star Wars), Shadolin ot3 (Stormlight Archive), NejiTen (rip lol - Naruto... this is again a remnant of long ago, from the manga-is-still-being-published days... but if I stumble across one of them these days I'll still have a go)

2. First ship: probably Ling/Lan Fan or Roy Mustang/Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist)? Orrrr maybe Kyouraku Shunsui/Ise Nanao in Bleach (with the caveat that I was really into it when the manga was just the Soul Society arc (because I'm old) and not. Uh. Later. When uh. Yeah. Information from much much later in the manga killed that ship for me but you know. Thems the breaks. I'd already dropped the manga ages before that info was released so it was a bit of a shock when something stumbled across my path about it!)

3. Last song listened: "Woodbine" by Windhand playing currently!

4. Last movie watched: This was surprisingly hard to answer - I couldn't remember! I usually end up watching shows/miniseries or documentaries rather than regular movies.

5. Currently watching: I've been catching up the most recent season of the Great British Baking Show!

6. Currently reading: Oooh this is a loaded question... my 'currently reading' pile is too big... currently working my way through what volumes I have of the TGCF and 2HA official translations. Also rereading MDZS slowly and taking notes, just started that recently even though I'd planned to read all this over the holidays... and here we are, almost the end of January...

For non-danmei, 'The Goblin Emperor' by Katherine Addison which I'm struggling to get into/stick with which is surprising given the outstanding reviews/raving I see for it. I'm also somewhere in the middle of 'House of Chains' in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series but that's been lingering for a while now... not sure if that's a currently reading or an oopsie at this point...

7. Currently consuming: Mint tea while thinking about what I want for lunch! It's 2:40pm but I'm also lazy so I'll probably still be thinking about it an hour from now...

8. Currently craving: Honestly I have the biggest craving for some good bbq ribs, baked beans and potato salad but am also way too lazy to go grocery shopping + crank up the smoker (especially because it's just above freezing and rainy today!)...

Enemies to Lovers—there’s just something about that fire 🔥, that chemistry, that absolute spark when two people realize that their problems would be better solved by jumping each other instead of/during fighting (is Fighting as Foreplay a trope? I use it as a tag on AO3 but oh yeah, I love that one too. 😏)

Hurt Comfort—where the hurt is light and transient and the comfort is the focus that fixes it all. 🤗

I’m a sucker for historical/fantasy AUs in modern fandoms but modern AUs for historic/fantasy fandoms, and I know I’m contrary but I love seeing the characters taken out of their normal world and thrust into the extraordinary.

Meet Cutes—I will read the same two characters meeting over and over in different and more ridiculous circumstances as long as they always fall in love. And now I find myself writing them because gosh, it’s fun! 😅😊

I still enjoy the gold old Snowed in/Trapped together trope where two enemies/friends/strangers are snowed in (can employ the Only One Bed trope for bonus points) or somehow stranded somewhere alone together and they work out their tensions or finally see what they’ve missed and it ends happily (and often smuttily). 😏😉

Questions for fic writers: 9, 16, 26, 41

9. How do you find new fic to read? - every day, several times a day, i check my ao3 dashboard to see if i got any new comments, and then i hit the Hunter | The Golden Guard (The Owl House) tag and see if any new Hunter fics have been posted that i want to read.

sometimes people will recommend me fics that do not specifically involve him as a tagged character, and every so often i venture out of my current fandom fixation into a new one, but i pretty much always have a particular character or grouping of characters that i want to read about, so i primarily sort by character tags.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)? - i really love the Tag Team TOH au, and in general the entire concept of "what if Belos ended up getting Luz before Eda did?"

TOH specifically is also a canon that i think makes for a fascinating adaptation into a more mundane realistic setting - i also really love the fic Clawthorne's Landing, which is a mundane human au where Hunter runs away from his abusive uncle and ends up working at a farm run by Lilith in exchange for room and board. it's such a specialized little look into the author's personal area of experience and i love when aus show me a new way of looking at the world that i haven't experienced before!

i also theoretically enjoy the idea of like, social worker aus, where characters end up encountering Hunter specifically bc he gets removed from his uncle's custody due to various horrific abuses, but i have yet to find one that i actually like reading in practice.

i would also absolutely LOVE to see some kind of au where somehow Belos ends up dying before the Day of Unity and Hunter ends up on the throne, because i love me some tasty political intrigue. i want the full ASOIAF treatment here.

26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue? - oh, probably no dialogue. it's entirely possible i have WRITTEN fics with no dialogue? actually, Become Ungovernable comes pretty close because the only dialogue in it is a brief flashback to the canon scene that happens immediately before the fic starts.

but yeah i'd definitely find it much easier to write environmental descriptions or meandering internal monologue rather than all dialogue.

41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.” - oooh gosh well tbqh every time i read a well-written fic i have a minor crisis of feeling like because that isn't my personal exact style, I Must Be Doing It Wrong, but!

The_Resurrection_3D has written a handful of TOH fics which are all my favorite entries in the "wow, there is something Fucking Wrong with Philip Wittebane" genre, and i love his style a lot. it's poetically gorgeous and communicates quite a lot with relatively few words (a thing i am very much not capable of lmao) and i also really admire the way he plays with style and structure and format.

i also really love the fic what we are is the sum of a thousand lies because of, specifically, how absolutely fucking funny it is, while still feeling very in-character. written humor can be hard! i like to think i'm funny but that's really up to peer review, right? anyway though, the sort of wryly understated ridiculousness of the entire situation and the verbal exchanges here, contrasting with but never undermining or overshadowing the emotional impact of the situation itself, are just very good and something i definitely strive for myself.

Oooh, thank you, Ace! There’s a lot here, so I’ll put it under a cut! I’m also tagging @ajarofpickledtears since I think a lot of these were also in the giant ask you sent me lol

1: Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?

Oh gosh, a lot of the early ones that I started writing back when I first began writing again at age 19. I still love the stories as they are, especially as time capsules that I can use to track my growth as a writer, but if I rewrote them now, they'd be more polished and have better pacing and less unnecessary side characters or plot threads that went nowhere.

4: Do you have any OCs? Do you have a story for them?

Dozens. Literally dozens (there's one fandom where I have over 50,) and the vast majority have stories or are featured in another's story. Since getting started on writing for various horror properties, I haven't made a ton more, but I do have a fair few, I'm writing stories for some of them (and others are featured in stories I'm writing for canon characters.) The one I have a soft spot for is actually my s/i for horror properties! I've not actually had an s/i oc be the focus character of anything since I was in middle school (I've had s/i ocs before but it was always a case of, just a random background character that if a reader knew me well enough, they'd recognize my cheeky little waving at them,) but I'm very attached to Hardy and I do want to make an extremely self-indulgent Hellraiser fic for them eventually (they'll also be in DBD stuff.)

19: Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.

   “I’m pleased to tell you both that we can now safely say all of our hard work and effort together has been a success!”

There was something too happy and artificial in the way she spoke, like some of the electronic toys they still had that were for children far younger than them, and it made Gabriel’s stomach churn, even as Emily reached out and squeezed his arm.

“You’ve been excellent as always, Emily.”

Gabriel slid a quick look to his sister. She wasn’t beaming back at the doctor, wasn’t even fully smiling, but there was an excited alertness to her. Something like hope shone in her eyes. He couldn’t bear to stare at it for too long, and turned away. Not sure what else to do, he looked down at his own lap, resting his other hand in it and looking at the band around his wrist.

“And you, Gabriel,” the woman continued, her voice a gentle, loving sort of croon one used for a puppy they might especially be fond of, “you’ve done so very well.”

23: Dialogue or description? Why is the other one so hard?

I mean, I don’t mind either? The challenge with dialogue is just making sure I have enough understanding of the characters and how they would interact in order to really make dialogue flow well, and description is a delight because I think visually; it’s holding back on description that I’ve had to practice on the most over the years, and I’d like to think I’ve gotten fairly good at not overloading on description.

36: How do you come up with fic titles? What's the one you're most proud of?

OH THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS, I WAS HOPING I’D GET THIS ASK!! So, ever since I came back to writing at age 19, I’ve always done two-word titles for my long-running multichapter fics. This was due to the fact that at the time, one of the sites I used to upload fics to had a hard character limit on the titles of uploads, and I would need to make sure I tagged for the fandom, the title, and then indicate what chapter number each upload was. It forced me to get creative with naming my fics. I figured two words would easily help with the title character limit, and I wanted the titles of my fics to be symbolic or at least indicative of themes and/or ideas that run through the frame of the story.

Again, it really forced some creativity, and after a while, I was just kind of known for naming my on-going multichapter fics with poignant two-word titles. I used to be a lot more liberal with naming various oneshots and drabbles whatever. But (again) since I started writing for horror properties, I’ve gotten into a habit of now naming most oneshot/mini-fic/drabble pieces with single-word titles. That’s way more of a challenge and really forces me to think about how I want the fic perceived. (Sometimes I still indulge with a longer title here and there on a oneshot; I have a recent one that’s a phrase, and another that’s titled for song lyrics applicable to the ship I was writing for.)

As for which one I’m the most proud of, aaahhh...I’m not actually sure, I’m proud of a great many of them, really. ^^; I really tend to pat myself on the back about figuring out names I like for my fics.

when I started shipping it if I did: OKAY actually, fun fact, I played RF4 all the way back in 2014 pretty close to when it first came out, but I didn't really like Arthur back then. I found his marriage event interesting, and that was kind of it. When I picked up RF4S as an adult, though? Instantly smitten. I adore Arthur and Asafure SO MUCH now it's ridiculous. I don't know what it is, but something about a hardworking, doting businessman just didn't catch my heart as a tween the way it does now lol.

my thoughts: yells from the rooftops. Maybe if I loved them less, I could talk about them more. I don't know how to put it into words, but they're just so wonderful. The support, the care, the love, the angst, the sweet joy, all of it. I love their dynamic, I love Frey and Arthur individually and even more together. They're definitely one of my top OTPs in all of RF4, and definitely my favorite ship for Frey.

What makes me happy about them: They're just so?? Sweet?? I just love how clearly the two of them get along from the beginning. It's never a case of them not liking each other, but rather their relationship just gets so much stronger as the game goes on, and even more so if Frey/the player pursues Arthur romantically. I love how there's deep dramatic high fantasy angsty backstory but they're also just so sweet and domestic.

What makes me sad about them: Oh gosh. Mmmm. When they don’t communicate, which is to say, when Arthur’s being a pain in the ass (/affectionate) and keeping everything to himself, taking everything on by himself. And Frey just wants to help so badly, but doesn’t know how because Arthur won’t tell her, and also she doesn’t want to overstep. This is basically the ENTIRE premise of the Blue chapter that I’m working on.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: Oh hmmm this is a hard one, because if I see something that annoys me I tend to just close the fic and move on. So please keep in mind that I totally think people can write whatever they please, but I guess a personal dislike of mine is when Arthur is written to be rash/emotionally volatile. Something I see as deeply important to his character (in my personal reading of him) is the notion of this "mask" that he puts up around people of the perfectly polite, likeable prince/person. And I see him as the kind of person that has an issue with over-repressing feelings. So when I see him acting extremely angry/possessive/etc. without particular reason (like he's having some kind of a nervous break, or he's hiding it under 50 layers of repression but the cracks are showing, lol) I go "eh this fic's not really for me."

things I look for in fanfic: Oooh. Generally I love soft domestic shit between them, so any kind of domestic fluff tag will almost always get an instant read from me. That being said, I've read some incredible angst for him sooooo.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: LOL. OKAY. LISTEN. This is totally Patt's fault, but my other huge OTP for Arthur has somehow become Doug? And if someone wants to hear more about that, send me this ask meme for that pairing, because otherwise I will write a whole essay in this post. I also find Arthur/Leon very enjoyable, and Frey with many people. Leon, Dylas, Forte, and Dolce are some of my favorites for her.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: ey live peacefully in Selphia until the day they eventually pass. They start a family, they keep on helping the community as prince/princess until they retire (and even afterwards), they go on lots of trips together, and are just sooo so happy.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Either way depending on the mood. I keep trying to pick a favorite way but they're both perfect as either spoon.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: I think they really just love existing near each other! Either in Arthur's office or Frey's room, reading books, working, crafting, etc. in the same room and talking here and there, but largely enjoying the peaceful, quiet company.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 39,406! (It's-not-much-but-it's-honest-work.jpeg)

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? I've written for 3 fandoms on AO3: Good Omens, Steven Universe and Sakana. I have a handful of half finished fics for other fandoms that never made it so far, alas.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Not Your Nan's Demon Summoning (Good Omens, G, 655) Crowley was sulking. He and Aziraphale could be having a cuddle by the telly with truffles from that little shop they liked in Brighton, but no. Instead of a cozy night in, all he had was an increasingly lukewarm mug of coffee and the indignity of being trapped inside what appeared to be a grandmother’s sitting room.

For Fear of Burning (Good Omens, E, 1k) After the thermos was delivered, the tension of a hundred years of fear and pain crackled between them like fireworks. Then it snapped, popping and sizzling, catching flame in a burst of desire. They hadn’t even made it under the sheets this time.

Before We Turn to Dust (Steven Universe, T, 6.1k) Their days were dirt roads and endless blue sky. It would be freedom, except it wasn't. Sapphire is a quiet country storefront and Ruby dreams.

Sentiments of Great and Indefinite Scale (Good Omens, T, 8.3k, WIP) Crowley likes Aziraphale. He really, really likes him. It's terrible. He can't help it if his one friend is an angel, but also a bastard, and that he really wants to hold his hand and run his fingers the feather-soft curls of his hair and kiss him until he's breathless. It's not his fault that Aziraphale is entirely irresistible. Crowley finds any excuse to pull him closer, and Aziraphale, most of the time, lets him. Isn't friendship amazing? - Six thousand years of dates and Crowley misses the memo.

Shiver at Your Touch (Good Omens, E, 3.9k) It was a new millennium, and the London Eye had recently opened to the public. Aziraphale had been hinting for ages that Crowley might take him. "Crowley, you must take us to the opening," Aziraphale said.

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? Yes! Immediately omg. As soon as I see a comment, I usually respond to it! I just really appreciate each and every one; it's honestly overwhelming to me sometimes that people read my work and maybe even enjoy it enough to leave me a kind word. Also if I do it immediately I won't forget to respond, which I might otherwise whoops.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Oooh, I hope the end of Rupture and Rapture hits the hardest, but For Fear of Burning gives it a run for its money. I love an angsty, longing oneshot!

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Thankfully not hate, not really!

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? I only started writing smut with my Good Omens fic, and I suppose any sort? I'm still not particularly assured in my smut writing abilities, but I've found it's fun to incorporate that sort of intimacy and vulnerability into a story! It can be so powerful, with happiness or longing or sadness, etc.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Oh gosh, not that I know of!

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? I've been asked before, but I never saw the final result. So maybe!!

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not yet! @caffeinechic and I have something on the backburner though!! ONE DAY.

13. What’s your all time favourite ship? ffsjdifhsudf if I'm honest, it's my favorite in whatever fandom I'm in at the moment, but I have such a fondness for all my old ships too. I really do love Aziraphale/Crowley though, ever since I first read the book.

14. What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I only have one WIP (Sentiments) and I will finish it!!! I promise!!! I am making progress, I swear.

15. What are your writing strengths? I like to think that I'm good at imagery; I spend a lot of time trying to pick the proper words to convey a certain vibe, especially verbs! I also work a lot on rhythm and sentence variation so that certain lines Hit Different u know, so I hope that comes through! I just love working on the fine detail of each sentence omg.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? SLOW. I'm so slow. I find it really hard to finish something after about the 2/3 mark and that last third is a slog oftentimes. It's something I'm working on as I try to finish fics and shrink my WIP folder.

But on a technical level, I really want to work on improving story structure so that I feel more confident and able to write longer works! I'm a short story author at my core, but I'd love to write something novel-length one day.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I think that it's important to keep your audience in mind and the purpose for including it! Using another language for a brief phrase or exchange can do a lot to establish a character or setting, but I also think the meaning should be easily gleaned or immediately translated within the context of the story. There're exceptions of course, but that's just how I'd do it (and plan to)!

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Ooooh my gosh. Pokemon Special/Pokemon Adventures, which is the Pokemon manga! You can no longer find these on fanfiction.net, which is for the best. I was very proud of them back then though, and I love that it set me onto writing as a hobby!!

19. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written? This is such a difficult question omg. At the moment I'm still really proud of Rapture and Rupture, but I'm also still very fond of the depth I managed to add in my first Good Omens fic, When We Fall In.

What's your all-time favorite ship?

Romantic ships aren't really my thing, but when it comes to friendships, I have to say it's kind of a tie between Frodo&Sam and Legolas&Gimli in LOTR. One is a hugely socially-unequal but completely genuine bond, and the other starts out Fraught but becomes as strong as any bond in the series.

How many works do you have on AO3?

76 -- but a considerable portion of them are one-shots based on an October prompt set that I did this year. Does that count?

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Cracked, Breathless, Charity Case, Thirst, and Shaky, in that order.

Do you reply to comments, why or why not?

Absolutely! I love getting comments, and I want to make sure the people who take time to write to me know how much I appreciate it. Comments feed my motivation, and when I'm feeling bad about my WIPs, I definitely go back and read previous comments. It helps me keep going!

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Oh gosh, probably Tag Hunt in my Bad Ends series, because two of the bros are straight up dead. (I set up Bad Ends specifically to explore the worst possible options, and it's a fun exercise, but I've only managed four fics in it, because it turns out I don't like thinking about Bad Ends right now...)

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Hmmm... right now I think it's a toss-up between Charity Case and Hidden in Scars? At least in Hidden in Scars, Luna escapes from Tenebrae when Noctis is still a teenager, and it's an AU, so there's a possibility of turning fate. Everything else I've written has the threat of Canon looming over the whole plot, and you can kind of feel it. (Cracked doesn't count, because it's not over yet.)

Do you write crossovers?

I haven't yet, but it's definitely something I've thought about. I like reading a good crossover. XD

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not yet! There's still time, though. XD

I'm not sure. I had a vague concept of a "Prince Prompto" platonic soulmate AU, but I don't think I'll ever get to it, and I don't think it's fleshed out enough to really be considered a WIP.  

What are your writing strengths?

Apparently humor? That actually took me by surprise. But a number of the fics I've had the most fun writing have humor at their core. Gallopin' Greens, A Beta's Crash Course in Pack Management, and of course, Cracked...

What are your writing weaknesses?

I want to talk too much about the sequence of events, and it gets downright boring. I’ve had to get used to the idea of liberally cutting things and letting some sequences of events stay vague. It’s... hard. Especially when part of my brain is obsessed with sequence-of-events logistics.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'd rather just say "They were speaking in another language" than try to write it out. If my POV character understands it, I'd just write it so it can be understood by the reader; if my POV character DOESN'T understand it, I might as well say "she didn't understand what they were saying".

What is the first fandom you wrote for?

The first fandom for which I posted fic online was Final Fantasy XV. But when it comes to first fandom I wrote for ever, that would be Battle of the Planets, the first English bastardization of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman that I watched as a wee birbling. It influenced my expectations for and taste in animation forever, and when I was a young teen me, I wrote a self-insert with a tragic-backstory main character. 

No, I have never shared it. No, I never will. (One of the advantages of being an Old Fan from Before Internet Times is that the writing crimes of my adolescence can stay on paper in a box in my basement, where no one will ever find them.)

What's your favorite fic you've written?

Oh gosh, that's a hard pick. I like too many of my fics for wildly different reasons.

Let's talk about how Eddie Diaz yelled at Buck once in a supermarket and the fandom has never forgotten it; how his character has been villainised despite everything else going on in the show at the time, for that one fucking scene – let's talk about all the fics where Eddie hits Buck, or punches him, or rapes him – because you know those fics exist – let's talk about the "Eddie is violent" narrative that parts of this fandom like to push because Eddie yelled at Buck, one time, once, in a supermarket

Totally ignoring the fact that at no point at all, in any other episode he’s been in, has he been violent towards Buck, at all - let’s talk about how the street fighting arc was out of character for Eddie, because he was struggling to cope and looking for an outlet - let’s talk about how Buck and Eddie moved past that whole storyline and strengthened their relationship; how they built a family together, how they’re a team and they have each other’s backs no matter what, and how, not once in the entire show, have they ever been violent towards each other or pushed each other around in anger - NOT ONCE.

And let's talk about this scene, where TK, ya boy, ya sweet tender boy, just shoved the man he says he loved four times, violently, in front of people at the firehouse.

I betcha any money he doesn’t get tarnished with the Eddie-Diaz-is-violent brush, because he can do no wrong. He’s the fan favourite, and this is totally glossed over by the end of the episode and nothing will ever be said about it ever again.

Because wow, you guys. Wow. If this was my ship, I’d be pissed.

Back to the hate watch:

And I know that whole fight is for nothing because I know the plot twist – I know that the dads are working together in order to reveal the real arsonist, the investigator – so they've basically turned their children, who are in a relationship, against each other?

Also why is Billy allowed to be watching the interview?

I’m going to say one more thing about this T*rlos storyline - if they’d done this to Buck & Eddie in the OG, I’d be fucking devastated. Like... if Buck or Eddie pushed the other around the way TK pushed Carlos around, I’d be absolutely gutted. It’s really horrible that they went down that path - whether it’s OOC or not, and you can probably argue that it is - they shouldn’t have included the scene like that in the show. 

It just raises a whole slew of questions, like... is TK violent? Is Carlos used to being pushed around in relationships? Is the show saying that it’s okay that they got a little physical because they’re both men? Domestic violence is never okay, and this is kind of... saying that it is, in certain circumstances?

That is problematic as fuck and such bad writing.

These two are in a relationship where they are living together and supposedly love each other, and this is how the writers choose to portray it? If you’re a T*rlos shipper and you’re upset about this episode, I get it. It’s really fucking terrible that they included that scene - and I would bet cold hard cash it’ll never be addressed again.

This is why LS is a bad show. It’s shitty writing. Shitty storylines. Characters who are interesting are shoved into the background and glossed over in favour of the male white characters. The OG doesn’t have this problem - for everyone complaining that Eddie hasn’t been featured as much this season (and yeah, I hate it too) - you can’t complain that the characters of colour don’t get equal screentime. 

With LS - it’s the Rob Lowe show, and everyone else is just in the background. And that’s why it’s so frustrating to watch - they have a great cast, and this could be a really good show, but it’s just not.

Do you think the LS writers patted themselves on the back after this arc and were like, "yeah we nailed it, we're amazing?"

This episode is -1,000000/10. This show should be cancelled.

I just watched the 1st Hetalia Musical

I dunno what possed me to search for it, but i wanted to find the Hetalia musicals, and I managed to find the 1st one with english subtitels

It was a lot better then i thought, It is very silly and over the top, yes

But i am ever so glad i watched it. It made me love the more silly side of Hetalia that some people seem to forget about love even more. It was what drew me in, in the first place.

Yet it could be quite dramatic and serious as well. I hope i managed to see the 2nd Musical someday as well, As well as the Osoka stage show i keep seeing clips from.

If you are a Hetalia fan, please look it up, if you haven't and give it a chance at the very least.

To me, at the very least this first one, and the little bid i could find of the second of youtube seem to be made by people that love Hetalia.

Its funny, I've travelled across 13+ different accounts in the past and somehow I always wind up running into you somewhere and somehow, whether you pop up on my dash or you like a post of mine, or something, and I don't even follow the same people each time I make a new one so I have no idea how we keep crossing paths(though you wouldn't have noticed). It's weird how seeing you pop up has just started to become a form of nostalgia for me after all this time. I'm pretty sure I first found you when I was like 14?? I think??- I'm like 22 now. Coming back to tumblr without seeing the username 'MMD-Ask-Italy' pop up atleast once while I'm here would be so foreign now.

Oh my gosh this is like, one of the sweetest things ever? And that is really funny that you keep comming across me on so many accounts.

Maybe because i kinda gave up on, keeping this blog only foccused on one thing? So yeah if you are in the same fandoms i have been, you can just see me liking stuff everywhere,

And i do reblog some stuff, tho my personal post have gone down a lot.

I saw the age, and i had to check it, becasue i was like.. 8 years? Have i really ha this blog that long? doesn't feel like it

But yeah, had this blog since october 2014 , tho i have only 4 post in my archive for like...almost a year after that...and i was like why???

and i was like 'oooh yeah, i made this blog inicily because I was on DeviantArt, and more people where migrating over, but i never really did, but the name stuck XD.

Send me on a whole trip down memory lane, so that was fun!

I am glad you are able to have nostalgic feelings towards my blog, and i hope you continue to have them! ^-^

I'll continue posting/rebloging/liking whatever i'll enjoy next, so untill the next time, one of my blogs hits your dash.

Okay, okay, for my fellow dutchies.

I was just at the tryouts for Arjen Lubach show.

And i sat in the front tow and got singled out.

At the end of the show. He got a bouget of flowers from the venue and then he came forward and gave them to me!!!

This is such a good day!!
