HI HELLO ALL!

I’m officially opening my commissions (again… they never really closed I guess lol) in a sort of emergency situation �� After the unexpectedly high taxes I had to pay this year, I am still dipping into the negative every month as a result, but that got worse with having to replace my broken phone last week (which I have to use for all of my jobs, ooof). Legend of Mana is undeniably a funny game as with my last post, but it also has some of my most favorite poignant writing and dialogue lines ever in games.

So here's a collection of some of them:

...I just realized, I loved Legend of Mana ever since I was a kid, and I wonder if unconsciously, this was one of the things it instilled into me? That this beautiful world is indeed full of tragedy, but we aren't here to just curl up and despair. We're here to celebrate that beauty and share its love with everyone else.

And this sort of thinking appears in a lot of my favorite media: the Legend of Zelda (Courage is never forgotten; a single person spreads hope even in an hour of darkness), Natsume's Book of Friends (people in this world will love and accept you for who you are; be kindness to one another), Mushi-Shi (human or Mushi, we're all doing our best to live, and though alien to each other, there is beauty to be found in the other), and Ancient Magus's Bride (it may not be what you feel at the moment, but hold onto your life, hold onto it with fingernails - there is a home for you, too). FGO is also pretty blatant about this, I mean, the game is "take back humanity's future" and with that, "there is worth to humanity's journey." Splatoon as well, has a core message of "celebrate life and colors."

I guess, basically, my most favorite/comfort works has this say: despair seems natural in this world, but it doesn't have to be.

Now onto another Wisdom - Tote! I'd say he's my second most favorite wisdom, I love just how chill he is, and he's simple. He's just a turtle, but one that lives a good life.

And lastly, Vadise from "The Crimson Dragon"

....ooof, I just realized, too. Vadise insistently uses "bonds" and the track that plays when your arm is twisted into working for Drakonis, is the rather melancholic version of the main theme for this arc...is "A Bond Bestowed". I'm not completely sure, but it may have been named "Bondage Bestowed" in the PS1 release, which is more accurate to the situation - you had no choice but to work with Larc because you had been dragged into the Underworld and turned into a half-spirit.

So Vadise uses "bond" here as to how it should be - connection to others that comes about out of kindness, not manipulative as Drakonis had been. Though, comedically, gameplay-wise completely NOTHING stops you from not going through with the dragon arc and screwing over Drakonis that way - to unlock the Mana Tree, only one of the main three story quests need to be finished, so if one so chooses they can either complete Star-Crossed Lovers or Jumi Arc and then jaunt on over to the Mana tree despite being supposedly half-dead lol.

There's waaaaaaay more poignant scenes, of course - I just talked about "Can't Look Back", which is all about grief and losing loved ones, and "Diddle's Had it!" is another big quest full of "we're here, and let's live life!" And of course, the Jumi Arc is filled to the brim with heartfelt story scenes.

So this long ass post really is just a small collection of these moments.

End of Magic Part 2: Grand Finale of Book 3 (spoilers)

My My, what a magnificent conclusion

The rather terrifying realization that Aequilibria isn't just erupting to kill everyone on Lore to wipe its shell clean of "impurities" but that it is literally going to snuff out those lives to get the mana everyone has back into itself. Which was somewhat clear when it initially introduced itself to the Hero but it's becoming pretty easy to see why it sees no issue with what its doing since from the Elements' perspective they're only taking back what they loaned out in their new little playground.

The fact that this "aspect" refers to the Aequilibria as a separate entity or designation from itself only further cements my suspicion that Sk'aar, the god of nightmares, is indeed in some shape or form a part of Aequilibria. Another aspect, or sub-function if we consider potential ties to Mechquest, but something that is based on either thoughts or dreams but that is something I wish to put under a microscope another time.

It's a small thing but I just love that in short amount of time our little mage trio have learned to piggybacked onto each other's spells for cooperation. Ya love to see it and speaking of things I love to see...

I'm definitely NOT going to bring up the fact that it used a rune coloration affiliated with the Infernals from the Exaltia Tower. Ooof sure hope the Wastes have some answers on this because uh yeah...

Ya know it's fascinating that Alexander has become this sort of big brother/uncle figure at this point in the story though after all he's suffered and all he's been able to reconcile it makes a lot of sense that he has a few bits of wisdom to deliver and kindness to provide the innocent. His advice here about duty should not be ignored though. It's been brought up before, but the Hero's rather obsessive need to be THE hero in people's lives, to be that constant helping hand, is something that could destroy them if they aren't careful.

As it stands now, our primary goal is going to be keeping Aequilibria from killing everyone which is no easy task with this scenario, not to mention the new conflicts that will surely arise from this aftermath or those that have been lying in wait to be a problem later. Hopefully, when that time comes, the hero will not make the same mistakes as both his enemies and his allies have made when the challenges ahead prove to be too much to bear alone.

THE TRUTH JAANIA!!!: We woke up god, you realized you were wrong, and now we all need to work together before an uncaring deity swallows us whole with mana juice.

This saga tragically began with three and it ends with three, ends in acceptance and peace. Rest well gang, may you reawaken to a world where your efforts did not go to waste.

Ooof that's a lot more new fissures than I was expecting and there's no telling how many may have opened on the lands we can't see like Lhe'Shiyac.

Not sure how to feel about this news. On one hand, it makes sense to have someone from our side of the world to try and give the Shapeless Empire some much needed perspective on how it rebuilds in the coming years and it wouldn't do to have Alteon return and cause potential problems with his daughter's newfound authority. On the other hand, I can't imagine how pissed or hurt Victoria, Brittany, and Tara might be when they find out he just kind of bailed to be an adventurer. Additionally, I'm not sure how much assistance he'll be in changing the Magesterium but I guess that's a job for Ostromir and Vseslava perhaps?

As in you guys will be using more ethical approaches, right? RIGHT!?!?!?

Us and our dragon riding off into the sunset into an uncertain but hopeful future was honestly the best way to end this chapter. To the devs a very pleasant thank you for the effort you put into this game after all these yea-

6. Do they mourn the person they used to be?

Oh..ooof. yeah. That's a solid yes for both.

For Quinn, there's really no point in thinking about the kid he used to be that might've grown up normal, but god...he still likes to pretend sometimes, he still carries the weight of who he could've been like a second shadow, twice as heavy.

Vincent has a pretty obvious 'before and after' so this current version of himself feels like a constant reminder of it all. He does mourn for his human self; how could he not. Some days he nearly brings himself to tears remembering how sunlight felt on his skin, how fresh grapes tasted, how his heartbeat kept time with the world around him. He feels so disconnected now, and it often strikes him how that man he was once upon a time may as well be dead; his military file had been marked 'missing in action' and he still feels like that's the case...

24. How do they handle criticism?

Quinn--badly. Not good. No thanks. He hates being reminded of his personal failures, especially when he's already internally castigated himself for them at his own leisure. It stings to hear others criticize him, but he usually just takes it all with a stiff nod. If it's some sort of military reprimand, he accepts it without much objection, while mentally launching x1000 grenades at the offender. Truthfully, he does need to hear it sometimes, and will often use these criticisms to make (somewhat) positive changes

Vincent also hates being criticized, and he has this persistent habit of having a defense at the ready for any given reproval. In fact, he actively acts out arguments and debates in his head for any such occasion. So when he is openly criticized, he's quick to rebut with a strong, powerful comeback, with some saucy zingers up his sleeve, to be sure. Of course, he's not always correct, but it certainly feels satisfying to wipe the floor with someone disagreeing with him, even if it had been about how aquamarine isn't really his best color (it isn't)

Here is my first "finished" rerooting adventure: Jazzie, the "Cool Teen" Cousin of Barbie!

... Eeeeugh, so late 80's/early 90's.

While Francie is my favorite member of the Barbie Extended Universe for a variety of reasons, I do have something of a soft spot for the lesser known of the cousins. Wanna say my sister and I did have a Jazzie doll at one point growing up; the body she came with originally did look very familiar but I'm not 100% sure.

Jazzie has a very sweet face mold, one that I'm honestly surprised they haven't reused since then.

(Side note, I headcanon that Kelley from the 1979 'Starr' line became the Heart Family's Mother character. Aside from having the same face mold, theoretically they *could* be the same character, but I digress)

I found a really cheap Jazzie on eBay a while back and after getting her, I immediately rebodied her onto a Spa Day Barbie from a couple years back. She looked quite nice, but something didn't gel with me. After I got the bug to learn how to reroot, Jazzie became one of my next guinea pigs; going from a very soft yet untameable bleached blonde to a short-haired strawberry blonde (Marzipan from ShimmerLocks, for those curious).

She had some pretty big holes in her head that, at the time, I couldn't readily fix with either glue or steam. Given what I was working against, she didn't lose clumps of hair or have major head splits (unlike Silkstone Midge... ooof) which was kinda surprising. Honestly thought there was going to be at least one big split with how Mattel at the time practically shoved more hair than necessary into the root holes. ._.

This was also my first time boil perming and while it could've turned out better, for a first time it turned out alright. This necessitated the purchase of some fabric scissors for some cleanup.

Thankfully, it didn't go totally off the rails and now Jazzie looks pretty classy if I do say so myself. Again, there was a lot that could be done better, but you gotta take the small, initial victories where you can. Have a good idea of what to do/what not to do for next time, because there will be a next time: I'm already eyeing some Glitter Beach/Sun Sensations I've seen on eBay with some fun hair colors (like blues... you gotta have blue hair!) or perhaps something darker. Maybe even try to salvage Chelsie with her hideous grin, idk.

Tip Numero 1:

Have a clear description of your character’s personality and fashion sense. I guess this is pretty self-explanatory lol, but it’s very helpful! If you understand enough about how your character acts, you can get a pretty good idea of what type of clothes they’d wear~!

For example, my monster girly Amour and Peacock!

For peacock, I knew I wanted a bubbly cropped street look to match her personality. And adding rips and tears to give that quintessential zombie look added to how explosive her style and optimism can be.

Then we have Amour. She’s….. something alright! As a fallen cherub, I thought it would be cute if she wore a blazer to match the pure nature of where she’s from. But…. She is anything but pure. Despite this, I still gave her a cutesy pastel love core-esqe look, so it can be a bit of a subversion of expectations for her character. The type of person who looks like they wouldn’t hurt a fly, yet then proceeds to smash said fly into the ground with her weapon and keep beating it with a smile on her face even though the fly is far gone past tense- Ooop, got a little distracted there.

Tip Number 2:

What if you’re just character designing on the fly, and don’t have a concrete idea for this character yet? You know what helps? Drumroll please *drumroll*

PINTEREST~!

Now you gotta be careful with Pinterest since it’s notoriously known for taking people’s art and not crediting them. So if you’re using another’s artwork as REFERENCE (we’ll get back to this later) for an outfit, make sure to at least find them and give ‘em a follow. You can even put the artist’s name in the pin’s comment section.

Now back to the Referencing thing. When taking ANY pins from Pinterest, be sure you’re not straight up copying or tracing it, that’s not cool! What you want to do is find specific things that you’d like on your character, and very loosely reference it which means you’re gonna have to use that noggin and be creative~! I believe in you. Using color palettes online can also help spark inspiration

When you get your references, I usually put them in one place, using Milanote, which is an app on the AppStore. (If you can’t use that, just put the references on another canvas in your art program of choice). Here’s an example of one I made for my character Cyan:

Trial and error. Look, you’re not always gonna get the winning design first try. Even to this day, there will be characters I made in middle school that I’ve redesigned 5 or more times to get it right. I mean… look at Peacock’s first designs:

Just don’t be too hard on yourself, character design is fun, but if it gets too frustrating, walk away for a bit and come back with fresh new eyes. You’re not gonna satisfy everyone with your design, but if you can satisfy yourself, that’s what counts~!

The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived: not the sigh…, oof, get his ass, okay I like the build up as a reflection of her anger, that reminds me of betty

Mama Chapter Ten

Ooof, it’s been a hot bit. Pretty excited to get back to it though! Still working out the misc details of setting things up and kick-starting the writing process again, but for now here’s another chapter to tide y’all over. Also, the collage maker I originally used decided to put nearly everything on the premium side, so if the colleges are a bit wonky, I’m using an app on my computer meant for a phone to make them.

It’s been a few weeks since the encounter with Natasha at her studio, and since then we’ve fallen into a pattern.

I’d drop Lillith off at school in the morning, get back to the tower to apply for jobs, work out, and do whatever was needed to be done at the time. Then, come afternoon after I’d worked out, I’d shower and pick up Lillith, dropping off Natasha at her studio in the process.

Despite only knowing Lillith for a few months, Natasha immensely liked her. Enough so, that she offered to teach her how to do ballet. I was shocked-from what Clint had told me about her, she didn’t like kids that much. Well, besides his. And mine, apparently.

So now we’ve settled into a comfortable routine. One which will be edited because finally I got a job. Two, infact.

It wasn’t the fact that money was needed-Stark and SHIELD took care of that for us. Well, maybe it was a little about the money. I didn’t like depending on people for things. Especially money. Besides, it was good to have a decent source (or two) of income so I could start saving up for things.

I hummed as I tapped my hands on the steering wheel, glancing around the street. It had been raining on and off this week, the sky always overcast. Lillith was passed out in the backseat, snoozing away in her little yellow raincoat. I smiled in the mirror, appreciating my small human. 

A knock on the passenger window brought me out of my thoughts and I unlocked the door for Nat to get in.

“Hey” She said softly to me upon noticing the sleeping child in the back.

“Hey yourself” I replied as I started the car.

“How long has she been asleep for?” She asked me as she buckled herself in.

I glanced back towards Lillith, still passed out.

“Almost as soon as I picked her up, so almost an hour by now.” 

“Lucky. I need a nap.” She replied as she dug through the bag on her lap.

I smiled in response as I pulled away from the studio.

Surprisingly, Lillith slept through the forty minute traffic rage fueled way back to the tower. Natasha and I had...quite a colorful discussion about some of the drivers during the ride back, mostly involving the fact that it seemed like no one had heard of rain before. 

“If it was that bad with rain, how do you think snow will treat us?” I asked her as I opened my door.

“It’s bad. That’s about all you need to know. It’s really bad.” she said as she opened the trunk.

I opened Lillith’s door and gently unbuckled the toddler, and shifted her in my arms. Somehow still sleeping, she didn’t even move when I held her with one arm close to me. I grabbed the go back on the floor and closed the door with my hip, locking the car and following Nat to the elevators.

We continued our conversation from the car as we rode the elevator up to the main floor. I was planning on getting Clint to watch Lillith for a bit (even if she was napping) while I picked up our floor. I loved the kid, but our floor was a disaster and a half. Hell, I might even get Nat and Wanda to help me with it.

Thankfully as soon as we got on the main floor, Clint was there. Albeit, he was with the boys in the living room watching some sort of movie, but he was there.

Despite the fact that I loved my daughter with all my heart and would gladly do many, many, terrible things to prove it, I needed a break from parenting for a few hours for maintenance. 

I had mentioned that I needed to clean my floor earlier to Nat when we were in the car, and she’d told me that she’d gladly help me pick up. 

I uncerisomosly plopped Lillith into Clints lap, and headed back to the elevator. He gave me a confused look but soon turned his attention to the child in his arms.

Without looking back, I waved my thanks to him and got into the elevator right as the doors were closing.

“Going up?” Natasha chuckled as I rested my forehead against the cool wall of the elevator.

I murmured an agreement as the elevator shot up into the sky again.

We arrived at my floor and Nat practically had to drag me out of it. Wanda was already in the kitchen doing dishes, and by the smell in the air she had also made my coffee.

“There’s coffee for you, (Y/N). I brewed it awhile ago and turned it off, so the coffee is cool.” She told me as we headed into the kitchen. 

I walked over and poured myself a cup, taking a small sip of the slightly warm coffee. 

“You are officially my third favorite person” I said as I started to drink the coffee.

“Oh? And who are the others?” She questioned, pointing a spatula at me.

I watched Nat gently nudge Wanda towards me so she could fill up her water bottle, and said person was still pointing a soapy spatula at me.

“Myself, then Lillith, then you.” I replied, starting to take larger drinks of the coffee. I paused to refill my cup, and then tilted my head back and quickly chugged it.

“I do not think that is healthy.” A voice from behind me said. I turned towards the person and did a double take. 

I had no idea who I was looking at.

She grinned at me and I took a moment to observe her. Long black hair that went to her shoulders, a black crop top and a dark green pair of jeans, along with a pair of doc martens. Dainty gold jewelry-a few light necklaces, some bracelets and rings-also adorned her.

She held out her hand to me, “The name is Loki. Nice to meet you.” 

I shook her hand and turned towards the girls, raising an eyebrow as I put my cup into the dishwasher.

“She’s here on guard for Thor. We’re watching over her for now, until some things get sorted out on Asgard apparently.” Wanda said as she closed the dishwasher, starting a cycle on it.

I nodded. “Cool, cool. Anyway, cleaning.” I reminded them (and myself mostly).

Forty-five minutes later, the kitchen, living room, and dining room were spotless. I wanted to pick up the rest by myself, because all that was left was my work space near the bay windows, Lillith’s room, the main bathroom, and my room. 

I needed a break from people for a bit, and from Loki’s complaints of nearly all my music choices.

Natasha had said she needed a shower, and Wanda volunteered to show Loki to the library. Which I completely forgot about. Of course there is a library-I’m in a millionaire’s tower after all.

I retied my hair up and put spotify on shuffle again, and resumed cleaning up the floor. My workspace had the papers refilled, the desk wiped down, and the miscellaneous items on it moved to their proper places. The bathroom was fairly easy, a childhood of learning how to clean it in less than twenty minutes paid off well.

Lillith’s room was pretty easy, because despite that fact that she was my chaos child, she picked up after herself (most of the time). Finally, bedroom time. I cleaned the bathroom first, then moved to the bedroom. By now my back was drenched in sweat and I was starting to feel the caffeine slowly wearing off. I hauled the pile of dirty clothes into a basket and took off my shirt and put it in there as well, leaving me in my jeans and bra. I finished vacuuming and then grabbed the basket and hauled it to the other side of the floor to do some laundry. On my way back to my room, the elevator doors opened and out stepped Loki.

“I was looking for-” she paused when she saw me, her mouth twisting into a smirk. “Well, for a human you do look rather ravishing…” She said as she stalked towards me. With my back at the kitchen island and her between me and the elevators, there wasn’t much room to run.

She stopped right in front of me, close enough to feel her breath on my face. She narrowed her eyes at me, and it took some effort to fight the flush of my cheeks as she stared at me.

Her eyes traveled down to my chest, and then back up to my face. “Why don’t we have some fun?” She questioned, tilting her head to the side.

For once, I was wanting to be touched. I let her kiss me, and god damn, if it didn’t feel good then nothing else did. It’s been a long time since I’ve let someone touch me like this. 

Loki had me sitting on the counter, her mouth on my neck, kissing and leaving marks as she made her way down to my chest. Undoing my bra, she tossed it somewhere in the living room. 

She took one of my nipples in her mouth, nipping at it with her teeth. I growled slightly, running a hand through her hair and grabbed some of it. She hummed and moved to the other one, rolling it gently between her teeth.

“Fuck…” I whispered as she kissed between the valley of my breasts, moving her head downwards. She quickly took off my jeans, along with my underwhere and kneeled in front of me. She placed each of my thighs on her shoulders and flicked her hair behind her ears, then stared up and grinned at me. 

My breath was coming in heavy pants, and everything was clouded in a glaze. All I knew is I wanted her tongue right-

A small groan escaped me as she licked between my folds, easily finding my entrance. She did it once, twice, and then thrice. She pulled me closer to her, and one of my hands grasped the edge of the table and the other was in her hair. 

The next few minutes were filled with bliss-her slowly making me come undone. After years of not bothering to see anyone, not even when I was drunk off my ass, this felt really fucking good.

A nip to my inner high brought me out of my daze and back to the woman currently between them, just as she slid two fingers into me. My back arched and a low whimper escaped my mouth, and my hand tightened on her head. I heard a whisper of praises in a language I didn’t recognize, probably Norse, as she started to pump them in and out of me slowly.

I could feel myself start to lose it, and it worsened when she took her mouth to my clit. A mixture of sucking it and flicking it with her tongue had me gasping her name in seconds, my back arching on the table.

I came with a loud moan and a quieter ‘Fuckin’ hell…’ my thighs were shaking slightly and I put both hands back on the ledge of the kitchen table.

Loki stood up, and gently rubbed their hands up my thighs and kissed me. She pulled back, smiled at me and walked away.

She fucking walked away-

She called the elevator and with a wink, she was gone.

I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. Wow.

A deep shower later and a load of laundry switched, I headed downstairs to go see my offspring.

Which as soon as I walked into the kitchen, was probably a good thing.

Here’s what I walked into:

Thor, with a chef’s hat on and in an apron that read ‘kiss the chef!’ and whisking...something in a bowl. Tony was sitting cross legged on the island, furiously doing Lillith’s hair while she sat patiently, kicking her feet on the edge of the table. Clint was on top of the fridge. Bucky had his head down on the table while Steve and Sam laughed their heads off, and Banner was making a pot of coffee. 

As soon as I approached, everyone stopped. Lillith’s cheery, “Hi Momma!” accompanied by Bucky’s “Don’t ask” was all it took for me to burst out laughing.

A night of pizza and Lillith somehow falling asleep in Natasha’s arms was all it took for me to call it a night. Hell, the woman even offered to carry her to her bed. 

I took her up on the offer, opening the door and helping her put Lillith into bed. I kissed her cheek and tugged the blankets up to her chin, and quietly shut the door. 

“She’s becoming more open to us.” Natasha said after awhile. Both of us were in the kitchen, with me currency digging through the fridge looking for some ice cream. As soon as those words left her lips I ended up hitting my head on a the shelf above me, and quickly pulled myself out of the freezer.

Rubbing the back of my head wincing at the bump I knew was going to form, I looked up to see Natasha quietly laughing, a hand to her mouth to hide her grin.

I blinked before taking in the sight before me. The redhead’s shoulders shaking as she tried to contain her laughter. It took her a minute before she calmed down enough to be able to talk. I had a grin on my face which quickly turned to a blush as she got off the island and brushed the frost that was still on my shoulders off.

“Clumsy дорогой” she chuckled as she ruffled my hair.

3. traveling by train or by plane?

Train, if at all possible. I've been in far too many planes for my taste, and trains tend to be more comfortable. You don't even have to wear a seatbelt! It stays level, it's reasonably safe because it's not like there's tons of chaotic traffic every which-way, and depending on the train, there might even be a dining car! Sleeping in a train isn't much better than trying to sleep in a plane, even if you get a sleeper car, but pretty much everything else is superior other than the travel time.

4. have a scenario: you have to break someone out of prison, and you are allowed a squad of four people. they can be real or fictional. who are you picking?

Hmm...Yelena Belova, Victor Sullivan, Eilonwy, and Edward Elric. Because they all have experience related to getting someone out of prison, and because I think it would be hilarious to see them all interacting XD Eilonwy and Ed would be bickering the whole time, Sully would keep trying to hit on Yelena, and she would be the one reminding them all they have a job to do, while throwing plenty of shade herself.

8. themes and/or character dynamics in media that you are a sucker for?

BROTHERS BROTHERS BROTHERS BROTHERS. But you know this already! Brothers who are also best friends, best friends who are basically brothers, brothers who would die for each other, especially when they say something along the lines of "we're all we've got..." ooof, I'm gone! x.x

I'm also a sucker for father-son relationships, and older brother-younger sister relationships, which for some reason are much rarer to see.

9. favorite ship? doesn’t have to be specific, could just be favorite kind of water/spacecraft.

I have zero opinions about water/spacecraft, sorry.

(Okay, just to narrow it down, I'm going to have to go with the classical definition of "song" as one with words. That...doesn't narrow it down terribly well, but whatever.)

Ohhhh, there are so many to pick from, but one that just popped into my head and made me gasp just to think about it is "Kaze no Machi he" from Tsubasa Chronicle. When the music picks up around 2:30 and the other voices join in...chills. Every time.

12. favorite book sequel?

As I said with movie sequels, the best book sequels are the ones that I like even better than the first installment. And there are several of those I can think of, but one that comes to mind is Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones. Everybody talks about Howl's Moving Castle, and rightly so; it's amazing. But my favorite is the second book, not least because it does such a good job of capturing that Middle Eastern, Arabian Nights/Aladdin feel that I so love.

14. describe your current dream house.

I'd want the outside to be blue or brick. Bonus if there's ivy or other vines climbing up. Pretty flowers, maybe some fruit trees, outside. There will be mourning doves roosting in the trees. Preferably a tower room, or at least a window seat. The inside will have interesting colors on the walls, not just white or that drab neutral beige/tan everybody paints new houses these days. There won't be any major issues with plumbing or mold or vermin. I'd have my own room with purple walls, and there would also be a wood-paneled library with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, maybe with those sliding ladders even? Comfy chairs and a chaise lounge for reading, and one bookcase doubles as a door to a secret room - either for the extra-special library, or maybe that's where the video games would be. The other thing I would love would be for the house to not be...regular, exactly. There would be all these steps going up and down and weird little hallways, so you never know quite how far off the ground you are at any given time unless you look out a window. (Basically, if you've ever read a description of Bleak House, I want a modernized version of that.)

20. if you had to pick a country to live in outside of your own, which would it be?

There's a range of countries I feel reasonably confident I could learn to live in without too much trouble if I had enough of a reason to move there. There's all the English-speaking countries, of course, like Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand.... I also feel like I could live in [redacted country I grew up in], Belgium, or Japan. There would be a bigger adjustment, and again I'd want to have, like...a job in place ahead of time before moving there, and the culture shock would probably be more severe, but I think I could do it.

But if I have to pick just one? Canada, where I will be getting a house to live with @rainintheevening - at least until she meets her cowboy in shining armor truck :D

22. favorite ice cream flavor?

Bride's Cake. The only brand I know that has it is Blue Bell, and they don't always have it in the stores, so I always pounce on it when I do see it. It's vanilla ice cream with chunks of white cake, and it all has this angelfood flavoring that elevates it even beyond the various chocolate flavors I like.

23. say you are taking a trip to the zoo, which exhibit do you visit first?

Realistically, I start with whatever's closest. But I always like watching the primates. I don't believe that we're descended from apes, but it's easy to see why some people do, because monkeys look so much like people, a little to the left.

I don’t know why maylors think things would be better a third time around. The GP still hates Matty. Tweets go viral every day calling him a Nazi or a junkie or both. Especially if this round 3 were to follow up Tayvis, a by all accounts beloved pairing, Matty would get skewered yet again. Taylor’s fame has actually only gotten bigger in the last year. Trust it would be just as bad. Maybe worse now that dropped an album airing his addiction which wasn’t a main focus of the hate last year.

I also think people underestimate how much 1975 fans would recoil at Matty dating someone who frequently behaves in complete opposition to his ethos regarding the environment and how you should treat your fans.

Yeah, idk that the last year has made anything better for matty and his public image. I’d imagine that this level of attention on him again a second time would only make things worse. I remember a specific day last year, when they were together, when random posts of mine from months prior, just gushing about how pretty he looked onstage, were flooded with hate comments about how he should OD. And swifties were reblogging my fics only to call him racist and Islamophobic. As if they couldn’t hate on him in the privacy of their own blogs. Which as a woman of color and a Muslim…..ooof that was tough. Ended up crying in the woods (no joke) by the end of the day cuz it all got so overwhelming.

I don’t wish to go through that again. Or wish for anyone else to go through it either. And the whole peanut thing….the backlash hurt HIM.

It’s ultimately how love life and I don’t think he should make decisions based on what anyone else wants but himself. But yeah it was a dark time last year.

Honest to god forgot about those flying sting ray things, and especially forgot they're one of the first things we see in the show!

Like those things that can shapeshift in the forest Diane hides in are in there? And MAYBE Gerheade? Idk about her but one of the fairies look a LOT like her/has a dress very similar to the one we see her wear AND she's bigger than the other fairies

And are there any demons with feathered wings besides the blue bird like things? Because if not there's an armored character with wings like the goddesses (who only have 1 pair of wings in the art) on the DEMON side. Probably just digging into this too deep, but it'd be REALLY cool if that was foreshadowing Estarossa/Mael

I really wish Elizabeth had muscles and wasn't CONSTANTLY portrayed as being physically pretty weak (at least that's how it comes across to me - in fights she's constantly told to run/is never given any chance TO fight physically). Because she literally can't be?

Like Elizabeth has been walking REAL FAR in that armor and it is DEFINITELY not light. Do you know the strength she'd have to have to move that? She also slumps in it and her footsteps are slow/small so it IS weighing her down but the fact that she can move in it as far as she has - and probably up and down hills too without falling - is impressive

Anyway reminder to myself to show Elizabeth being physically strong in my fics from now on. This is canon now and no one can fight me.

Also the shot of Elizabeth on the hill in the armor with the sun glaring through?? It's such a gorgeous shot??????

I mean. Elizabeth. Sweetheart. Your dad IS laid up in bed sick. It just so happens that the holy knights ALSO arrested the rest of your family and refuse to get your dad help (I think? Cause Merlin has to magically treat the king for his illness later and I assume the holy knights would be wary of letting a doctor treat him. Maybe Vivian was treating him?)

Because I have a shit memory but most people do tend to remember things, even vaguely, from the ages 3-6 (my friends and I all have our earliest memory around 2-3)

1. What’s your favourite sims death? Dying of laughter. I did not expect it at all and when it happened I was struck by the irony. One moment of hilarity=tragedy. This damn game!

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I like Maxis mix. If I love the cc, it doesn't matter.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Nah. If the sim is active and enjoys exercise, it might happen naturally.

4. Do you use move objects? I don't think I could play without it.

5. Favorite mod? MCCC, WonderfulWhims, Pose Player + teleporter, Stand Still in CAS so I don't lose my mind with the occults hissing and spellcasting and howling.

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? This will surprise NO ONE: VAMPIIIIIRES!

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? Like aLIVE because in my head it's like, "We are going LIVE!"

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Oh, that's a tough one. I don't think I have a fave. I love Lou Howell, Morgyn + Caleb, Hester and Frederick, my starcrossed lovers, even poor little neglected Finn...But recently I've been having a lot of fun with Lawrence and Julian.

9. Have you made a simself? No. That would freak me out a little. I'm weirdly and irrationally superstitious (I know, I know...).

10. What sim traits do you give yourself? Bookworm, creative... goofball

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? It depends on the sim and the hairstyle, but I do like dark brown.

12. Favorite EA hair? Again, it depends on the sim. I do find the loose side braid very flattering on most sims, though.

13. Favorite life stage? YA because more gameplay options become available and you feel like you have time to start things properly.

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? It depends on my mood, but I do like coming up with scenarios complete with sims and elaborate locations. I guess I'm in it for the storytelling?

15. Are you a CC creator? I made two band t-shirts in simlish. I'd like to make more but I got lazy haven't had time lately.

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I have this fear of bothering other people that is quite ridonkulous because this is social media and it's all about community. So far, everyone has been so nice, though! And there are several simblrs who have been especially kind, supportive, and fun/interesting to interact with!

17. What’s your favorite game? In the Sims franchise? Sims 4. (Otherwise, my other obsessions are Geralt of Rivia and Corvo Attano...and kicking Solas' arse someday)

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? Until earlier this year, I played The Sims off and on. I always found decorating relaxing. But then I tried out Pose Player, which led to wanting to share my screenshots, which led to creating a simblr, and then discovering Reshade, and Blender, and editing in PhotoShop...It's been so much fun learning about all these things...All because I wanted to try something different in my gameplay!

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator? OOOF! Have you met my Mods folder? It's organized chaos. I love ALL the creators because they make this game so much more beautiful and fun! I'd have to say that the creators I have the MOST cc from are Felixandre and Natalia Auditore (like, Natalia is my shepherd and I shall not want...)

23. How long have you had a simblr? I started this simblr at the end of March. It's fairly new-ish.

24. How do you edit your pictures? Sometimes just Reshade, sometimes a little Photoshop action, sometimes a bit of both.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? Other than the obvious, I really like Paranormal and Cottage Living.

26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? I don't know, but I'm on board with the people who said they'd rather see improvements and fixes to what already exists. I mean, watching my sims walk past the kitchen sink to wash dishes in the bathroom is painful.

What’s your favourite sims death? I think it would have to be Cardiac Explosion. I just find the idea of a sim getting so mad that their heart explodes hilarious, I don't know why! ^^

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I've always been pretty Maxis Match. If I were to go Alpha I'd have to change *everything* in the game to match otherwise it would bug the crap outtah me, and gosh, that would be WAY too much work. x___x I also just love the cartoony aesthetic a heck of a lot more.

Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? No, not usually. Only if the weight gain/loss was completely unrealistic to what I'd expect because the game's systems don't work the way I'd like. Sometimes I become attached to the idea of a sim being a certain way, but I usually let their natural metabolism win out in the game. I love me some soft, chubby sims! :)

Do you use move objects? Yes!

Favorite mod? Ooof, this is hard… I've become very fond of most of Lumpinou's mods. MissyHissy has a lot of great mods that flesh out the gameplay in a maxis-match way, too! Though I probably get the most use out of Wonderful Whims and Meaningful Stories; the game just doesn't feel right without them!

First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? Gosh, this was so long ago I can barely remember… it was probably Get Together or City Living.

Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? aLIVE Mode, like "we're going LIVE to Bella Goth in Willow Creek!"

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? This is a hard one, because I love them all so much! 🥹 Philomena Velasquez will always hold a special place in my heart as my first Sims 4 legacy founder who was super fun to play (even though I didn't have a simblr blog at the time so none of it is documented anywhere). But I also have a major soft spot for Gabriel McKinley. She has the best resting bitch face. :D

Have you made a simself? Yup, I may be a little too obsessed with them, hahaha

What sim traits do you give yourself? Usually: Geek, unflirty, and either creative/maker. Since we can have more than that now, I might also add dog lover, loyal, and lazy (because it matches my ME/CFS symptoms closest).

Which is your favorite EA hair color? The second brown swatch, the new one with the nice warm highlights. :D Swatch #4. 👍

Favorite EA hair? I love the base game half-tied back tight curly hair, the one that was added in a free patch not too long ago. ^^ (SDX015CoilyTwistback)

Favorite life stage? I have a soft spot for all of them for different reasons, but I do really love it when my sims reach Elderhood and develop wrinkles and grey hair and start to slow down. :) Feels like a reward after a long, hard life! I love giving my elders a few more days using MCCC so they can enjoy being grandparents. ^^

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? 99% gameplay! I will occasionally build if the madness strikes me, but I usually rely on builds shared by others here on Tumblr or on the gallery. I'm not very good at designing actual buildings, and I get so caught up in decorating sometimes that it takes HOURS. x___X

Are you a CC creator? I am! I haven't yet broken into anything that requires Blender, but if it's a simple 2D .png texture edit I'm all over it. :D

Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? Nope! It's just me, which is absolutely fine! I have friends elsewhere. I just really don't get on with Discord, and that seems to be where most simblr folks hang out in groups.

What’s your favorite game? (Sims 1, 2, 3, or 4) I've played all of them, and every time the new game was an improvement on the old, for various reasons. I played SO MUCH of the Sims 2 when I was a kid/in high school, it really stoked the flames of my life-long Sims addiction. While I've gone back and tried to play all the old games again recently, I just couldn't get back into them. The Sims 4 currently has my whole heart. I love the aesthetic, and there's so much content to it now I don't really want for anything that the older games had. (Except perhaps more chaos/whimsy/custom animations for various interactions. :) )

Do you have any sims merch? Other than the video games themselves, nope!

Do you have a YouTube for sims? Nope! Not really a video content person. ^^

How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? It hasn't, much; though I suppose I keep finding new skin details that I fall in love with and start using on every sim, so you can see different phases that way. I might go a little maxis mix when it comes to some skin details nowadays. ^^;

Who’s your favorite CC creator? Oh gosh, I have so many! For hairs, Okruee, Dogsill, and Simstrouble never let me down. I also love Shysimblr's stuff, SleepingSims, and Simtric's. Saurus' hair is still such an important staple for me, too! For clothes, Joliebean, Trillyke, LadyFu's recolours, Nucrests, Simkoos, Renorasims, Sifix, Jius, Rusty, Serenity, VIIAVI… Max20 has a chokehold on me for BB stuff, as does SIXAMcc, Surely-Sims, awingedllama and Ravasheen. Sorry, I honestly can't pick just one. ;____;

How long have you had a simblr? I started this one in Oct 2020, I think. Wasn't really in the Simblr community at any other time, though I did try to create some CC back in TS2 days on ModTheSims. ^^

How do you edit your pictures? I mostly rely on my Gshade preset to do most of the colour editing/DOF stuff, then I do a teensy bit more in Photoshop and apply TopazClean. I made a post about my current process here. I also have some older examples/downloads here and here. When I first started I did all my editing in Clip Studio Paint; Photoshop isn't a requirement to get nice screenshots. :)

What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? This is also a hard one! I'm really enjoying all the stuff added with Growing Together. Definitely the best expansion pack in a while. City Living, Seasons, and Cats & Dogs are also fantastic. The game packs that add new occults, Vampires and Werewolves, are also good fun! And as far as added gameplay goes, Strangerville is a really great buy.

What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? I can't lie, I'm super excited about the idea of a horse-themed pack, but I know it won't be as good as I hope it will be. X) As far as anything else? Hmm… I'd love more career variety in terms of how it interacts with gameplay (fewer boring rabbit hole careers, for example), and more apartment lots. Another city-styled world would be amazing, as well as worlds based on different places around the globe. I love Sulani, Mt. Komorebi, Tartosa, etc., let's get more variety! 💪
