What I love about them: He’s ADORABLE, he really is.

What I hate about them: Why did he have to be evil? Why? What purpose did that serve except to add uncomfortable racist colonialist undertones to the entire narrative?

Favorite Moment/Quote: “King of the Kingdom (Reprise),” even if it’s peak evil, it was amazing to hear him sing for a minute. I didn’t expect that and literally screamed when it happened.

What I would like to see more focus on: Would love to know literally anything about Johanistan.

What I would like to see less focus on: I don’t want him to be evil. It’s the same thing that happened with Hans where it’s like, you could have made the movie without doing this if you didn’t suck at writing. But whatever.

Favorite pairing with: Okay, so also pre-movie... I shipped him with Trey a little bit. Bc I was trying to figure out what Trey was gonna do in the movie, I wondered if he might try to team up with Johan for money/a title/social media fame/whatever. Obviously that didn’t happen. I really was so wrong about what the movie was gonna be smh.

Favorite friendship: I guess they’re not really friends in canon, but him and Amelia. The yacht scene with Barbie and he’s talking about their childhood promise to each other makes me think that he and Amelia really were friends at one point, no matter what Amelia says. We really could have had everything in this movie but alas.

NOTP: Amelia in canon obvs. But literally I don’t think anyone ships that? Other than that I don’t know of any ships for him.
