It's always a good time to mention my all-time favorite MMO Secret World Legends, but it's especially a good time to mention it today. Secret World Legends' Samhain event has the most hauntingly well-crafted Halloween content of any MMO I've played.

I apparently re-exploded in the Secret World fandom today because someone found my old Illuminati cosplay photos and like-bombed them. When I mentioned that I had cosplayed all 3 factions (Illuminati, Templar, Dragon), they were surprised because it turns out there aren’t actually all that many photos of me cosplaying the other two factions. 

I can’t help it if the Illuminati coat is just that photogenic… 

And yes, those coats are hand-sewn by yours truly. Yes, I have done custom-sized coats on commission for a couple of other fans.

I really need to organize this blog. I am, in fact, alive.

EDIT: I've been slowly going through and adding tags to posts. I started at 2013 and now I'm halfway through 2015! We'll see how this goes or how long it takes.

I'm sick of people constantly assuming and never reading a single word I say. Am I really this useless that people prefer to act off assumptions than actually notice a single word I said?

So, in the SWL discord, silly things were shared and folks got extra silly (including our local @vomher; also, note that "Vh'mhyrr" is an edlritch-ification of "Vomher"):

So, as is my wont/community niche when folks say amusing things that give me a delightful mental image...I went to doodle it! Except...I recently bought a set of colorful ballpoint pens (at Rite Aid, of all places). So, what was supposed to be a quick sketch ended up being a nice clean illustration, so I could do a proper test of them! (Turns out their ink is thinner than Bic, so it's harder to get light shading with light pressure, and they're prone to glorping eventually when you try. Alas. BUT it came with brown, which turned out to be critical for this piece! Revenants are pretty much ALL BROWN)

I started out with a pencil sketch, then sorted out the lineart and some minor grey shading with a trusty Bic ballpoint pen. For the wraps I did an underlayer with yellow, then did curved hatching on top with just brown for color and shading. The coat is scribbly to give it a rough texture, both for aesthetic and to help differentiate it from the wraps. It's primarily brown, with some light blue to desaturate the worn/aged edges of the leather pieces, then purple to add further shading (and help differentiate from the wraps even more). There's even some rainbow-y iridescence in the black feathers attached to the coat! Though I did fill them in with black first...I think next time I'll try laying down the color, then going over them with black, to see if it's easier to balance how dark they are. Overall, I'm pleased with how it turned out!

The Season 8 Doctor Who premiere was such a colossal disappointment that I have no desire to watch this season at all. Moffat is a plague.

It's possibly poorly formatted Latin with a few typos and conjugation confusion. It definitely doesn't work as Italian or Venetian, that's for sure. Whether this... spelling and formatting was intentional or not, I'm not certain. "Qui dit" is French though for "who speaks". 'dit' here doesn't seem to be properly conjugated or spelled properly to be the Latin "dictum". It could be an attempt at Latin "dito", maybe.

Whole thing is weird, and I didn't actually study Latin. I'm sure somebody who's following me might be more educated in the Latin language!

As your average internet user I immediately went to google translate. This is what I got:

Aximinto luxuriates. Am I being made fun of? Who says that the dersperepel is great I work. And I know that I am enriched by the pleasure of Esereris or, as a matter of service, he reproved the burnt pig

On a secondary search I found out that Esereris means "you will eat", but couldn't find anything on "aximinto" or"dersperepel". There's also the issue that the message makes no sense, either because of the translation or the original was meant to sound like gibberish.

Might check the Star Anvil Discord to see if anyone else worked on this.
