✩ INTERVIEW WITH THE MUN ✩

➊ How many ships do you have on this blog?

I don’t know, let’s count! I’ve been writing some super fun GabrielxBobby stuff with @multimuse-rp, and that good (complicated) GabrielxDean shit with @awaywardboy-andhisangel and actually... that’s all the canonxcanon ship stuff I’m writing right now for some reason. But that’s not all the ships! Fulfilling a years long dream (for me) @daedaluscried and I are writing GabrielxAri and she has also indulged some excellet (unrequited) GabrielxEve content, @thxwxlf and I have dabbled in some GabrielxKekipi, and @inferniangod has been kind enough to write GabrielxIfrit with me.

I’ve discussed, but not actually written GabrielxSam with @smmie, and I think @hellsmother and I are on track to write some GabrielxRowena (but if I’m not sure I should probably check, whoops). So that’s six total, eight if you count these last two. Plus a handful of others where Gabriel is just flirting at people and waiting to see what happens. Nothing has to happen, he’s just like that. But something could happen with any of them.

➋ Have you ever roleplayed with someone that just left an unforgettable impression on you?

Of course! I’ve been doing this for 10+ years and people have made all kinds of impressions, some amazingly good and others downright awful. I can roll through some nicknames/first names only and proably only Anti will know who I’m talking about because a lot of them are from our shared history on gaiaonline! I could go on and on about every single one of these people but here’s a quick ‘n dirty list instead: Noir, Kathy, Mariah, Moose, Lyss, Berry, and @daedaluscried! I’m still occasionally in touch with three of these people (one more often than the other two) which I think is kind of wild all things considered. There’s also some not so good impressions, like guy-who-started-nice-and-then-harassed-me-for-nude-pics and the-person-who-broke-my-trust-and-caused-me-to-stop-writing-smut, but i have put them far far behind me.

➌ Which of your ships on this blog is the fluffiest?

The fluffiest is probaly Gabriel and Ari now that we’ve gotten into the emotional core of the relationship on both ends. Which isn’t to say that it’s not a spicy ship with a helping of angst, but... I’ve written more hand-holding with them than with any of the others and I guess that’s my definition of fluff. Also I suspect the gratuitous hand-holding will continue even once they’re past the language barrier. So... FLUFF.

➍ Would you say you’re a decent role player or do you have any self doubts?

I think I’m a decent writer but my roleplay skills vary depending on the day. I understand how to set a mood and (usually) how to string a decent sentence together but sometimes the craft that goes into bouncing off of another writer and giving them something to bounce off of in return eludes me.

➎ Have you made lots of friends on this blog?

More than I expected too. But when I set this blog up I thought ‘those days are behind me now’ so... one would be more than I expected.

➏ What’s the one thing you especially love about roleplaying your muse?

WRITING THE JOKES! And not just the verbal jokes he makes, I love writing jokes into my narration! Meta jokes! Dick jokes! Bad puns! All of it! I love it!! I also enjoy the way Gabriel interacts with the world around him. He rarely just stands in a scene and talks, he’s always moving and gesturing and doing stuff. I also love writing his dialogue, even when the things I write make me squinch my face up with shame. He just says stuff sometimes.

➐ Are there any people you’ve been to afraid of approaching?

NOPE! I’m not afraid to reach out. Approaching people is the easy part. You send a meme, you make an ooc comment, you tag them in something, you hit them with an ask or an IM or whatever. And if they don’t answer that’s a-okay! Their choice, I’m not hurt or personally offended. What I’m afraid of is what happens after that part if they do answer. I can usually BS a thread until I find the point of the thing but IMs and asks? Y I K E S ! Now there’s an expectation for me to be cool and witty and have good ideas instead of just mediocre ones. Very scary. The reason I don’t send IMs.

➑ Give us a rough estimate: How much time have you spent on your graphics? (icons, theme, banners, promos, etc)

My icons/graphics are a visual representation of me learning to use G.I.M.P. and I think you can... very clearly see the learning curve. More effort went into those old fuzzy icons I have than the new, crisp ones. Plus moodboards and other stuff? My guess is 40+ hours.

➒ Got any memorable threads on here? Care to mention a few?

Well now I wish I had thread tags. Thread tags would be a lifesaver right now. Anyway, I am once again shouting out @awaywardboy-andhisangel and our original GabexDean thread that has since spiraled and gotten very, very interesting (it’s not over, I just like it). And @divinitatemxsanguis who has allowed me to indulge in writing Gabriel with Loki post all the betrayl and murder. They have a special place in my heart so thanks for not judging me! I’m getting ready to write the conclusion/endcap to a sad thread with @isclcphobics involving Talia, Gabriel, and a grave. Plus the thread with @downwillow where Gabriel is human and Micheal has forgotten him. And a shoutout to @daedaluscried for our thread series that I have affectionately dubbed the ‘The Nanny’ series ft. October and Gabriel. Every thread has been a delight.

I also have some stuff I’m really looking forward to getting into, specifically with @hellsmother, @cursebcund, and @magaprima.

➓ What were some of the most frustrating moments you had with your muse’s interaction with another muse?

One that’s on me: sometimes I know that a moment in a thread calls for some emotional vunerability, and often when those times roll around the Gabriel voice I use to write dialogue goes all quiet and resistant and just wants to make jokes. And either one of two things happens, either I write the joke and cringe because I know now the thread is going to go way off track because obviously the other character won’t be thrilled/is about to shut down and shut up. Or I force some emotional vunerability out of him and it never quite sounds right to me. Sometimes it’s natural, but sometimes he just won’t do the thing and it frustrates me!

One that I’ve encountered from someone else: sometimes people will try to force a certain motivation or trait on my Gabriel based on their perception of canon/a past interaction they’ve had with another Gabe as portrayed by another RPer. This really grinds my gears because if you want a Gabriel with that motivation to critique/praise/fight with then go find one! I garantee someone out there plays him that way! There are a lot of us out here doing this! I’m not going to change my portrayl for you!!

just little 2013/14 RP things...

very few people used names or aliases. you were generally referred to by either straight-up url or by your character name with “mun” at the end. so like i’d be Hawkemun, or Marmun maybe. not till you knew someone better did you get a first name usually

there were no self promos. instead you promo’d your friends, and mostly that just meant making a new “link” post to their url and saying something nice in the body of it, and people would reblog that. (when fancy self promos started being a thing people made side eyes at it and i even remember a few like fakey promos deliberately designed to kinda make fun of the thing)

icons schmicons. your FC, if you bothered to have one, was used like only in the sidebar pic on your blog and maybe your dash icon, or the occasional character edit.

GIF threads. like literally just. entire threads consisting of full sized GIFs you’d stolen from the internet and kept in a nice little folder somewhere to toss out in a crack thread

“m!a that now your character is a llama for 24 hours, have fun!”

RPing with anons as though they were... another character, but a sort of nameless/faceless one. Greyfaces or Greycloaks were the terms used, at least in the fandom I was in, to describe these non-character characters

random like, “themed” anons where someone would go send the same really weird ask (i remember one specifically about bananas) to every character around and they’d all react to it IC

“dialogue in quotes” -action between hyphens- “more dialogue”

using // or square brackets to denote the “oocness” of a post, on dash or in chat RPs

asks weren’t rebloggable and what most people did instead of C&Ping into a new thread was just sending multiple asks and replying to them all as though it was one thread -- then asks finally became rebloggable and reblogged ask threads were everywhere (until most people realized how unpleasant a format that was and started doing the C&P thing we have today)

man. this shit really has changed in only a few years. the more i think about it the more i remember how much was different lol. shakes fist back in my day, it was uphill both ways and you had to use GIFs to RP!

Mun

General

My name is Kymani, but most people call me “Kaichu”, “Kai”, or “Ky”. Go with whichever you like! Please note, however, that I will only sign my blogs and asks with "Ky" or the occasional "Kaichu" so as not to be confused with the many 'Kai' users in the world. So if you ever see someone claim to be me while using that spelling... they a lie, fam.

I use she/her pronouns and am a cis female so feel free to correct me if I make any -phobic booboos.

Mun is over 25. I’m happy to share my real age, but not so much to update this with every birthday.

My discord is (not very) selectively available to mutuals. If you choose not to exchange this with me, this is more than fine; please just be aware that I blog hop very inconsistently so I may be hard to reach.

Mun faceclaims are Raichu, Marina (Splatoon 2), Iridessa, and occasionally Kagome Higurashi.

Health

I have several physical and mental disabilities. These include, but are not limited to, Sickle Cell Anemia, Asthma, Depression, Anxiety, and moderate OCD.

Note that there are some things that will trigger my OCD and therefore I will often choose not to follow you for or unfollow for. They include but are not limited to: uncut posts; icons that aren’t circles or squares (circles/squares with excessive decoration is FINE); using full-sized reaction images; and/or a general lack of organization on the blog. Most of these can be addressed, but I will never pressure a mun to change their style or format for me.

I will generally make or have someone make update posts informing you of my hospitalizations. Sometimes I forget, though. In any case, if I’ve made it clear that I am feeling unwell, do NOT hassle me for replies or an explanation of my situation. I will block people for this.

Be aware: I am a chronically ill person with many characters whose writing schedule is dictated by both her health and muse. I will forget things and disappear/reappear for weeks to even a month at a time from my blogs. As well, I may be very obviously selective/biased, so if this will upset you, my blogs are not for you.

Also note: it is not uncommon for me to unfollow and refollow people but this is not intentional. As I manage tens of blogs, it is easy to forget which blog people will follow me on. If you notice me doing this, feel free to message me and/or block that account.

Lastly, it is incredibly important to understand that due to the fact that I have been on opioids since I was a child, I have impaired memory. I can and will forget things we’ve discussed/written and I just ask for your patience and understanding on this.

I am open to answering questions regarding my health, but I expect you to both know the basics about the diseases and have read THIS PAGE before you approach me.

Last on this point but HUGELY important: please do not approach me with questions or jokes about how many muses I write. It's officially at the point where it's only okay or funny if I do it. Cause the thing is I know you mean it as a complement. I know you do. But the answer, for the record, to that question is this: "The cold hard fact is that I'm no longer healthy enough to attend school or work. So I am at home all day every day with the time (if I am well) to run as many muses as I please and it may be the only thing keeping me sane." So please, just don't make the joke. I'll joke along with you, I'll try not to make you as sad as you just made me, but it makes me really sad to think about and I have to stop pretending it doesn't.

This is a selective and private blog. This means I don’t follow everyone and I only RP with mutuals.

Please do not message me asking for an RP if we are not mutuals. I understand that you’re just reaching out, but it really makes me anxious and I will feel extremely guilty. Therefore, all messages of this kind will be deleted. Repeated attempts will lead to a block.

I will not follow blogs without a rules page. Very very rare exceptions are made for blogs that I know for fact are mobile-only. I am slightly more lenient when it comes to about pages, but only if there is significant writing on the blog for me to read through instead.

I am OC and selectively crossover friendly.

I’m cool with multimuse blogs as long as your muses each have an about page for me to read over. I won’t be making exceptions here simply because I find it impractical to go through the blog and look for writing for each specific muse I want to interact with.

I may several weeks to follow back. This may be due to illness or just not noticing because of how many blogs I run.

I eventually unfollow mutual-only blogs who have not followed me back. This is simply because I like to know I can RP with those on my dash and nothing more.

I do not follow blogs that exclusively use real-life faceclaims (rlfc). I will also not RP with rlfc, so if you have a verse that only uses a rlfc, I won’t RP with it. Please note that this applies to people roleplaying live-action characters, as well. Thanks for understanding.

Interaction & Replies

I am EXTREMELY selective about roleplaying with muns under the age of eighteen. Trying to deceive me about your age will lead to a BLOCK.

I am open to using messaging for OOC interaction at all times. IC interactions must be agreed upon beforehand.

All of my open starters and starter calls are for mutuals only unless otherwise stated. Repeated offenses for non-mutuals liking my starter calls will lead to a block.

I go through my thread tracker whenever my total thread count across all accounts exceeds 11O. I will try to message my partners about threads I drop but understand that I may not always have the energy to do so. You are always welcome to ask about the status of our threads so long as you remain polite and tactful.

Shipping

My blogs will always be multiship.

With that said, I’m almost always a ship-exclusive kind of girl. That means I’ll ship with one version of each character.

I like my ships to develop naturally, so even if it seems like I prioritize friends, know that you can always shoot me an ask and as long as it’s not a notp I’m always open to tossing the characters at each other and giving it a shot.

There are two exceptions to ship exclusivity for me: 1) i’ve decided to do one ship per verse and therefore duplicates are fine or 2) i’m playing a character with a canon ship.

Tags & Triggers

My blogs are never spoiler-free. For TV-show based blogs, the most recent episode aired in its native language will be tagged as a spoiler until the next episode airs. For games, I tag and try to readmore spoilers for a few months. Threads themselves may or may not be tagged if the line is sort of blurry. Always, therefore, read with caution.

I am blocking the tag #Ky Don’t Look/#Ky Dont Look for phobias related to penises, water, and a few other things. It is imperative that you read over my BLOCKED TAGS AND TRIGGERS for full details.

These triggers are often related to trauma and can give me panic attacks and/or depressive episodes. I will gently remind you a few times, but if it becomes a repeated issue, I will unfollow.

If you need anything special tagged or I’ve forgotten something, please let me know! I won’t bite.

NSFW & Smut

Many of my blogs will contain nsfw themes including but not limited to: themes of depression, violence, bullying, etc. These are rarely (if ever) tagged but can be by request.

Themes that are considered to be “trigger-heavy” will always have their own disclaimer.

Regarding smut: sometimes it’s difficult for me, sometimes it’s not. I can be extremely squeamish regarding the topic, so I’m very fickle when it comes to these threads. I ask, very simply, that partners who engage in these types of threads with me understand that I likely won’t finish these threads and that they do not push for replies on these. (Like, ever.) It will make me more self-conscious and, if I’m already panicking about a reply, it will only make it worse.

With that said, I would appreciate it if you didn’t baby me by disallowing me to write these threads. If it makes you personally uncomfortable to write them with me, that’s fine. But it has been deemed a safe and valuable practice by my counselor for me to continue to explore this subject so that, hopefully, I will become more and more comfortable with it. So when I’m interested in writing sexual nsfw, please don’t feel as though you need to shy away from me!

Aside from all of that, general rules apply: I won’t write sexual nsfw with anyone under the age of eighteen. (Although with that said, given my age, I tend to prefer my smut partners to be twenty-one and older. This is a soft rule, though, as my comfort with the partner outweighs a numerical value.) I also will not write any other kind of nsfw with anyone under the age of sixteen.

PS: when it comes to aged up characters, aged up x aged up is okay. aged up x canon adult is not. I am not the kind of person who will get all judgemental if you do it with other people, but I won’t personally engage in it. Understand though that I only consider it to be aging-up if the mun is aging their character beyond the natural progression of time. (So if Character A was 10 when they debuted but would have been 15 by the time they met Character B anyway I don't consider it to be aging-up.) Activism & “Drama”

In this house, discussion about x-isms, x-phobias, and injustices as it relates to the roleplay community and/or the pokemon community is NOT considered drama and therefore it will NOT be tagged as such. HOWEVER:

While most of my blogs will NOT have a tag for it at all, should it come up, I will create an #activism tag for the blog. So yes, you will have a tag to block if you are genuinely discomforted by the conversation, but no, I will not conflate it with “drama”.

If you’re reading this on writtenbykaichu or a blog that features a dark-skinned person of color, please be aware that issues such as these are much more likely to be discussed.

I consider Amethyst's canon character development to be incredibly rushed, so on this blog you may feel as though I've knocked her back a few steps. This is so that I may work on her development at a fairer pace. (And yes, if you know me, it is also for the angst.)

Always always always plot out fight threads with me. We don't have to come up with things step-by-step ahead of time, but I expect to stay in contact with you throughout so that we can be on the same terms with where we're going and who's doing what.

MUTUALS, EXCLUSIVES, GRAPHICS. You do not need to be a mutual to send me asks, memes or plot / thread requests. The background, ads, icons & banners etc. for this blog are made by me. Please do not take things that I have made for this blog – they match the aesthetic and I would prefer to keep them only for my use. If you would like the bases for the icons you can feel free to ask me and I will be happy to send them to you and if you would like them personalized, I am usually very happy to do so, though it might take me a few days / week or two (sometimes more) to actually get any graphic requests done depending on life!

MY ACTIVITY! If you’ve ever written with me before then you know the drill. My real life is absolutely crazy between three kids (each in a different school with different after school activities) and my numerous health concerns which tend to keep me away from rp sometimes just because of sheer pain levels or sometimes because of frequent doctors visits etc. Stress is always a huge factor in whether or not I feel up to doing any actual writing, but I am almost always available for plotting or talking or the occasional sk.ype roleplay. I tend to make graphics, banners, backgrounds and the like when I can’t actually write for whatever reason, so never feel like you’re being a bother if you ask if I can make something for you just - as in all things on this blog, patience is definitely key. If I feel pressured or if I start to get anxious about not being able to keep up activity then I tend to panic and just push the whole blog away for a while. Not the best coping mechanism, but it is what it is and this is above all else FOR FUN.

YOUR ACTIVITY! I will never pressure you for replies, though I may bombard your inbox with memes and poke you to plot or chat but never ever feel obligated to reply to anything, be it posts or memes or chats etc. if you aren’t up for it or just aren’t feeling it. Please do let me know if you are dropping a thread just so I know, you don’t need to explain or apologize for taking forever or dropping an interaction or wanting to write on a different blog or for a different character than one that had a lot of interactions with mine. Do always feel free to let me know if you start a new character or blog and would like to plot something with me, I can almost guarantee if we already write together (or have in the past) and you go somewhere new I will be happy to write with you! I may love the characters and plots but the muns behind the characters are the most important things to me. And, as a side note, I don’t care if you take an hour or a year to reply, I will always be happy to see you & it!

FORMATTING. My preference is some very light formatting and icons (of a consistent size - I might, at most, bounce between 100x100 and 200x100 depending on my mood). I don’t care if you format a lot or only a little. If you format a lot I may try and match your formatting but if I am actually pumping out replies at a steady pace I probably will skip it - it’s pretty but my brain only cooperates so often so I want to take advantage of it when it’s actually functioning like a normal human being brain and not a whirlwind of chaos and mini nuclear disasters.

My main turn offs when it comes to other people’s blogs / formatting … I do really really prefer the small font BUT I can work around it. I will probably take the quick second to make your text small when I reblog your reply in order to keep the aesthetic the same on my dash / theme as much as possible. My really big turn off though are using images that are way above the average icon-ish size. It throws everything off in terms of my visual perception and I don’t know, it just. Bugs me. It’s honestly one of the main reasons I can’t join rp groups on tumblr anymore. I don’t know when it started bugging me, or why it bugs me so much, but it just does. I am doing my best to work around that so as not to miss out on the wonderful writers out there so just bear with me!

NSFW & TRIGGERING CONTENT. I will straight up warn everyone now, I love writing dark themes, horror, murder, torture, graphic violence and angsty smut are all like my favorite things ever. However, I am WELL aware that not everyone shares those interests so please note that I will be tagging pretty much anything that I think might bother someone with the simple ‘tw triggernamehere’ tags. Self-harm, drug use, potential noncon/dubcon, mind control, alcoholism, domestic abuse, so on and so forth are likely to appear here. NSFW will always be tagged with just the simple 'nsfw’.

GODMODDING. This one is pretty simple. No godmodding. Don’t write for my characters. Even if you are writing a god, writing someone with the ability to control and puppet others, if you are attacking my character with a miniature nuke and they are standing there in their birthday suit with no way to defend themselves and you know they’re going to be annhialated … you still don’t get to write my character. You write what your intentions are, what you command them to do, how you are influencing them to do something, how you are manipulating their emotions, etc. but I will handle writing the effects of that in my reply! I am always happy to discuss plots and actions before hand, if that would make things easier for you, but I am happy to wing it and work things out as the thread develops too, in terms of harm done, effects of spells or influences etc. so please, just be respectful about handling this and we’ll get along perfectly fine!

DRAMA. Flat out simple: keep it in character. I have been roleplaying for 20 odd years now. I promise you I’ve seen it all and I have always had zero interest in being involved in it. You can always come talk to me if you are experiencing a problem, ic or ooc, with me or someone else, in the sense of I will be happy to try and offer you advice, but in general I can promise you I will not be inclined to throw myself into the middle of anything going on on the dash etc. Please do not assume that this means I don’t care about you at all, I will discuss matters privately when possible, but what it all boils down to is that I am here to have fun and I don’t like poking bears with sticks, pointy or otherwise. Confrontation makes me literally ill, and if this blog becomes a not safe place then no one gets to have fun with it … especially me.

SMUT! As I said a little bit ago, I love writing smut. It is not however the only reason I am here though, at times I’m sure the blog might seem to disagree. I get in moods where it’s all I want to write and then other times I’m just EH SURE. All of that aside, I will not, have not, will never write smut with anyone that is under the age of 18. I understand different states and countries have different age limits where that is concerned but my state / country dictates 18 is the age of consent and there is no smut in the world that is worth the potential and genuine risk of legal actions up to the possibility of incarceration for engaging in sexual content with a minor. Please, please, please do not send me NSFW related asks if you are under 18. Do not like my NSFW starter calls if you are under 18. If we are in a thread that is leading towards potential smut, I will ask you if you are 18. Please do not lie. Legally speaking, it doesn’t matter if you tell me that you are 18 and you aren’t, I am still responsible and they can still prosecute - just like with physical interactions. They really do take this stuff seriously guys and so do I, for a number of reasons, and not just legal concerns!

If you ARE 18+ and would like to do something smut related with me, by all means, let me know. Even if it’s the first interaction, I don’t care. And don’t feel like you can’t make a suggestion regarding kink or interactions out of fear of kinkshaming or anything of the sort. how you feel about the whole malec thing?? i think maybe ppl are overreacting...?

wellllllllllllll people are going to react how they will, that’s their business and prerogative and really who am i to tell people how to live their life lol

personally, first of all, i’m not here to be pissed off or to criticize or to express outrage or any of that stuff. some people are, and i fully respect that. but i’m here cause i like this tv show and i will be here to appreciate what i like about it, occasionally defend it, and when there’s things that i think could have been done better, i usually just don’t…talk about it here? like, i’m here to have a good time first and foremost

also i would probz defer to the opinion of lgbtq+ fans first as they know what’s up better than i probably do

that said, i have a couple of thoughts about this - i’m not sure which “malec thing” you’re talking about so let’s just do what i do best and make a nice bulleted list

“not enough screentime” - i think the promo department is at fault here mainly, because nowhere else were we really promised a lot of malec in this episode (and i really hope this means people will stop taking vague teaser tweets at face value instead of as vague teasers tweets). that said, i think that if they wanted to tackle the storyline they did appropriately, i think they should have given much more screentime. the lack of screentime itself is not in and of itself a flaw, as we got a huge shitton of malec screentime in 2x06 and there are many other characters, relationships, and plots the show has to juggle (see: 2x06 had very few jace scenes for example, and 2x07 had many; inverse for malec)

more significantly, i just thought it was a bit jarring and rushed, and could have used some space to breathe. especially given that we got a whole episode around their first kiss (1x12, literally called malec) and another basically around their first date (2x06) - it just felt jarring especially given the way the relationship has been dealt with in previous episodes (with time, space, and great care)

“fade to black”/“consent” - these are Big Issues and i am a small person with a midterm in 2 days i haven’t studied for so forgive me for not going into a huge amount of detail

most significantly, i don’t want to pass judgment on anything until 2x08 - i don’t think that they’re just going to … like, pave over it? if they actually had sex or if they didn’t, or what ended up happening, i feel like it’s going to be cleared up or at least mentioned esp. seeing as 2x08 is a pretty key episode for malec b/c we’re seeing the lightwood family interact with magnus

also it’s pretty clear from the promo of 2x08 that at the very least it’s going to be talked about in 2x08

i mean, for me, nothing that happened in that scene in 2x07 actually implies that sex happened? like, clothes didn’t even come off? so the very important and well-founded issues that “we didn’t get to see their first time properly” as they are a m/m couple and of course the consent issues……like i said, i just want to wait until the aftermath in 2x08 before i talk about those because as it stands, i’m not sure what exactly even happened

if 2x08 doesn’t make any reference to it and we’re just supposed to assume from 2 kisses that they had sex, then i’m gonna be side-eyeing that pretty hard tbh

that said, maybe i watch too much tv b/c verbal consent in tv sex almost…like…never happens? so when i watched the malec scene for the first time, it didn’t really strike me as off b/c tv sex never usually involves too much talking (i was hoping malec would be different but ya know, i’ll take what i can get) (plus magnus was pretty clearly kissing alec back as it cut away) - but i can definitely see why people took issue with it on a second viewing

alec being OOC: as resident alec stan, i think the most OOC part was just him…like being able to take izzy’s advice so easily and not overthink it? like i thought for sure he’d be more nervous and self-doubting about it despite what she told him, especially given how insecure he was over his lack of experience in 2x06. so that was a little OOC for me

otherwise alec is a very straightforward knows-what-he-wants kind of guy so i think that was pretty consistent overall

i think it wasn’t necessarily alec being OOC but the whole scene leading up to the sex-that-never-was-or-was-it-does-anyone-even-know was very rushed and didn’t give alec or even magnus the space to really…like….be themselves properly, which is leading to the mistranslation of intentions on alec’s part

honestly, it seems to me like there were definitely parts of this scene left on the cutting room floor that could have helped all of these issues out immensely

at the end of the day, no matter what the truth™ is, i think it was most definitely a misstep, and i’m glad that people are letting the writers and showrunners know that. but, for me, before this, we’ve had 16.5 lovely episodes where malec has been developed with care and good writing and excellent performances, so i think one misstep - while still a significant that shouldn’t be ignored - isn’t going to define how i view the show and interact with it going forward.

Because I play fairly rare characters, I feel it is unfair of me to limit who I rp with on a basis of who I interact with already. I will, however, be selective with partners based on writing style and character written.

👻 I will unfollow if my rules are repeatedly broken (how many times will be at my discretion), or I feel uncomfortable with the content of your blog (a lot of NSFW image posts are a good example of the latter. General

I use she/her pronouns and am a cis female so feel free to correct me if I make any -phobic booboos.

Mun is over 25. I’m happy to share my real age, but not so much to update this with every birthday.

Mun faceclaims are Raichu, Marina (Splatoon 2), Iridessa, and occasionally Kagome Higurashi or Jerry Mouse.

Health

I have several physical and mental disabilities. These include, but are not limited to, Sickle Cell Anemia, Asthma, Depression, Anxiety, and moderate OCD.

Note that there are some things that will trigger my OCD and therefore I will often choose not to follow you for or unfollow for. They include but are not limited to: uncut posts; icons that aren’t circles or squares (circles/squares with excessive decoration are FINE); using full-sized reaction images; and/or a general lack of organization on the blog. Most of these can be addressed, but I will never pressure a mun to change their style or format for me.

Be aware: I am a chronically ill person with many, many characters whose writing schedule is dictated by both her health and muse. I will forget things and disappear/reappear for weeks to even a month at a time from my blogs. As well, I may be very obviously selective/biased, so if this will upset you, my blogs are not for you.

Also, it is incredibly important to understand that due to the fact that I have been on opioids since I was a child, I have impaired memory. I can and will forget things we’ve discussed/written and I just ask for your patience and understanding on this.

This is a selective and private blog. This means I don’t follow everyone and I only RP with mutuals.

I will not follow blogs without a rules page. Very rare exceptions are made for blogs that I know for fact are mobile-only. I am slightly more lenient when it comes to about pages, but only if there is significant writing on the blog for me to read through instead.

I am OC and selectively crossover friendly.

I’m cool with multimuse blogs as long as your muses each have an about page for me to read over. I won’t be making exceptions here (unless i already know the writer) simply because I find it impractical to go through the blog and look for writing for each specific muse I want to interact with.

I may several weeks to follow back. This may be due to illness or just not noticing because of how many blogs I run.

I am EXTREMELY selective about roleplaying with muns under the age of eighteen. Trying to deceive me about your age will lead to a BLOCK.

I am open to using messaging for OOC interaction at all times. IC interactions must be agreed upon beforehand.

All of my open starters and starter calls are for mutuals only unless otherwise stated. Repeated offenses for non-mutuals liking my starter calls will lead to a block.

I go through my thread tracker periodically and try to keep my total thread count (across all accounts) under 11O. I will try to message my partners about threads I drop but understand that I may not always have the energy to do so. You are always welcome to ask about the status of our threads so long as you remain polite and tactful.

Shipping

My blogs will always be multiship.

With that said, I’m on some occasions a ship-exclusive kind of girl. That means I’ll ship with one version of each character. I will always announce if this is going to be the case.

Tags & Triggers

I will only be writing sexual nsfw on discord with 18+ muns that I am comfortable with.

Regarding smut: sometimes it’s difficult for me, sometimes it’s not. I can be extremely squeamish regarding the topic, so I’m very fickle when it comes to these threads. I ask, very simply, that partners who engage in these types of threads with me understand that it is common for me not to finish these threads and I ask that they do not push for replies on these. (Like, ever.) It will make me more self-conscious and, if I’m already panicking about a reply, it will only make it worse.

Start a thread if you are an OOC blog, a self insert, or a blog for a living/recently dead person. You may still send memes not intended to start a thread, however, and anons whenever you want.

Harass or bully other people. I’ll use my best judgement on this, but if I catch anyone doing this, they will be blocked. Spam blogs will also be blocked.

Send in asks simply greeting my muse (Hi, my name is X. Not that X) Instead, jump right in and say something he can really reply to.

Send starters over asks. I love IC asks, or asks from memes I have reblogged, but if you just wanna send a starter, tag me in it. Then I don’t have to move it off the ask post later. I do that enough for memes (when I feel like it. I don’t always make a new post if it’s a short para thread).

Turn my ooc posts into discourse. They’re not conversation starters for other people. It clogs my notes. My IM is always open instead.

Dispute my headcanons for my character. I do try to stick to canon, but it’s easy to interpret differently between individuals. This is my interpretation.

Try to write explicit sex with me. I’m very willing to fade to black.

Have your muse be related to mine, or know things they shouldn’t about my character unless we’ve previously discussed this.
