On a Genshin Poll from a while ago, you said that you could talk about Xinyan way more and it would be nice hear those thoughts! Xinyan is one of favorite Genshin characters (her design is so cool) so if you don't mind talking about her more, I'd love to hear it!

oh i didnt mean xinyan specifically in general i like talking about design (critiquing.nitpicking.praising.etc) so it really extends to most any of the characters. but you asked about xinyan so ill talk about xinyan. design wise shes very nice to look at for. her colors are all so warm with one of my favorite palettes (black/red/white). shes on the simple side compared to alot of other characters and i think its nice makes her alot easier to draw. pretty easy design to remember. for me anyway (big sleeves/braids.big collar. big hair.spikes) i dont really need to give specific reasons tbh her design is just really good. one of the pyro characters ever

New Zelda Game!

Okay cool, cool cool cool cool, I am calm, I am so fucking calm. Looks like Nintendo is staying true to their word that Wild is not getting another game, so now the questions are, what Link is this, where are we in the Timeline, and what information about the game itself can we pick out of these crumbs?

Whose Zelda is it anyway?

So two options:

New boy.

Legend. It’s fucking Legend again sucks to suck bro

Case for new Link and Zelda:

Less messy for the Lore

That’s it, that is the only argument

Case for Leggy boy and Fable:

LA animation style! While it can be fun to bring back older styles of animation for nostalgia/artistic reasons, that seems like a poor choice for *LOZ* games, which are always on the edge of what a game can do. Moving “backwards,” so to speak, in any aspect, would be a disservice to the franchise. However, doing it to maintain consistency for a particular character, and to use the animation style to make sure the audience knows this is the same character from LA is a very simple but effective tactic.

The map! So that shot was so BOTW and so fun, but the view we got wasn’t just recognizable as “Hyrule,” is was, down to the relative heights on the mountain cliffs against each other, the map from ALTTP/ALBW. Nintendo has never repeated a map without it being the same Link. So! Checkmate motherfuckers.

The character designs. That… that was just Legend and Fable, come on. Look at the dress. Every Zelda has a slightly different costume design, and that was hers. Look at Link. Baby boy!

I want this. Let me have it.

Timeline positioning

Okay so if we assume that this is in fact Legend, the next question becomes, “When is it?” Leggy boy currently has 5 games that are canonically his. (Triforce Heroes could be a random other Link, so while we like to say 6 we can’t *prove it.*) So. Let’s break it down.

ALTTP: canonically his first game, can’t be before this one.

Oracles: canonically happen after ALTTP, and he is very much still a child in here.

LA: the game this one is artistically modeled after. Narratively this fits nicely right after Oracles, and in the canon timeline, fits between Oracles and ALBW, so I think a whole new game being crowbarred prior to this one would be… not great for the narrative.

ALBW: This is trickier. No canon time between LA and ALBW is given, it could be a week, it could be years. It is entirely possible that Echoes of Wisdom occurs prior to ALBW, which would make it a direct sequel to LA, which makes the art style make even more sense. It could also be after?

…hang on a fucking minute, lets get the fucking map.

Basically the same map! Duh, it’s the same Hyrule. But. BUT. Bottom right, in the lake. Do you see that?!

ALTTP: no log bridge. ALBW: Log bridge. Now, let’s look at the pretty picture from the EOW trailer.

This is before ALBW. Therefore, the game order for The Hero of Legend is

ALTTP, OOS, OOA, LA, EOW, ALBW, TH(maybe)

Lore Implications

Ganon.

There being a Ganon at all actually has me pointing my finger at the Oracle games and screaming. The TL;DR in those is that there was a plot to resurrect Ganon, each game Twinrova gets closer, but Link stops them. Now, there were also supposed to be three of those games, which means that it is entirely possible that the third unseen Oracle plot—please Nintendo let Link and Farore hang out, I am on my knees barking like a dog—could have resulted in his resurrection. This is the only explanation I have that doesn’t break the Lore or involve Time Shenanigans.

Also, Link does KO the bitch in that opening scene in the trailer. His presence is either just that—a set-up plot point—or him and Link are currently duking it out in the hole. Fun!

Link and Zelda

Now this game is going to put their relationship in the front in the “I have to save them because I love them” way that we usually see from Link’s POV.

Getting it from Zelda’s POV is going to be very interesting. We might be getting a look into her head, into her feelings and thoughts about the whole ordeal of the Legend itself. I hope so. But also, this isn’t just Link and Zelda, this is *Fable and Legend* specifically. The two that were meant to be be siblings but the dialogue that established them as such was cut from the final version of ALTTP. So. This game has the possibility to do three things

Canonize the Prince Legend thing, like they were going to do in the nineties.

Not address the topic at all, leave it nebulous.

Zelink.

None of these are bad choices, but option two is definitely the safest. Both options one and three will cause an uproar from part of the fan base. I can already see the ship wars. Please don’t do this people. Please.

The Holes 🕳️

What are they? Where did they come from? Ganon’s Trident Where do they go? No actually, where do they go? The Dark World (doesn’t make sense in the Lore)? Lorule (that would be a choice)? The Twilight Realm (I am convinced that Lorule and the Twilight Realm are the same place actually and you cannot change my mind)? Some new never seen before parallel dimension? A non-place, like a gap between realities (sexiest option)? I have no idea!

So, uh...anybody here, who wants to see that flashback from Silver's past, we would have gotten, if the Treasure Planet sequel had been realized? No? Just me? Okay.

I wanted to do that character concept of young adult John Silver since I knew about the cancelled sequel. But I always felt like I would not be able to do him justice, because he is not an easy-to-draw guy.

Then, a few days ago, I just grabbed a few ref pictures and started with sketching the images on the second picture. It took me quite a while to get a hang of his features, but in the end I really do like my design and I had so much fun drawing his different expressions <3

I imagined him to be in his early twenties, when he still had both of his eyes and all of his limbs. And before his girlfriend left him, which ultimately lead him to become the pirate we all know.

Damn, I love this dude so much...and I still want this frickin' sequel!! But even more I want to see a whole movie about his past. That would be so intriguing and awesome! OO

Doodles of Oldtavio that were cleaned up a bit, that I made like two months ago. Was kind of miffed that people were only drawing him as a young lad so I tried imagining him as the ancient fart that he is.

I still cannot find the design I’m happy with, but I’m done with it for now.

Now peri and Jimmy are planning Dale’s demise as we speak while Danny and SpongeBob are wondering if they should help Timmy to get away from this Dale Creep

I kinda want to draw Jimmy with his hair down but figured people might not recognise Jimmy without his classic hairstyle ^^;

(Or my attempt at drawing a adult beefcake Danny) well Bustch up on his YouTube channel has given up some drawings/ stories information on what adult Danny Sam and Trucker would be and apparently they’re a incredible ghost hunting team in their future; Sam And Danny get Married & Tucker ends up mayor/ president of their town/ city aaaannnddd because of all the ghost fighting Danny been doing for YEARS he becomes very fit and ripped (( can someone tell me why But h likes to make his male protagonist grow up to be big beefcakes? Because it seems to be a trend with him))

Also I heard someone say that butch once said he wanted to Make Danny Fenton/ phantom and Timmy Turner Cousins but didn’t go through with that idea because that would’ve been pretty good idea AND would explain why A) Timmy and Danny kinda look alike a bit and B) Timmy’s crazy lazy and very dumb birth parents where kinda obsessed with ghost hunting in their past before they had Timmy (but they were SO OO bad at it I mean they way of fighting ghosts was to blow up the house the ghosts were hunting and they blew up everyone’s house and got chased to the other side of town and had to change their names.. Danny & Danny’s parents would be horrified learning there was ghost hunters this bad out there)

And being as Wanda & Cosmo knows Timmy did want to grow his hair out but his birth father never LET him and would always cut it short if he was to be adopted by them and raised with Peri/poof then I’d know Timmy would grow his hair out and keep it in a ponytail as a fairy adult so it’s why my fairy Timmy has long hair

Danny being as he’s fighting ghosts all the time and being as Butch has said Sam & Danny get married and have 2 kids who inherit Ghost powers but a little different from their Dad he most likely doesn’t want his hair too long and it might just be a little long but not long enough to tie up being as he most likely needs to look professional being the city’s ghost protector/ fighter and likely doesn’t want his hair to bother him while he fights ghosts

Just my own experience being as I work for a hospital and had my hair short before to try to keep it from bothering me during a hot summer working week but thanks to being busy and some lockdowns it’s back to being long now but I understand keeping a hold city and raising kids means yo have no time dealing with long hair so mostly try to keep it shortish

Sam had been gone on a trip with Colby for a while, they were out on the UK to film videos. You were out shopping for some things around the house and didn't know Sam was back waiting for you at the apartment you shared with him. You walk in with your bags, setting the Starbucks drink down on the counter.

There was a camera hidden between some stuff on the far side of the counter near the fridge, filming as Sam creeped out of the bathroom. "Hey baby." You jump hearing a voice, expecting to be alone but you quickly turned around recognizing the voice. "Sam!" You quickly wrap your arms around him, happy to have him holding you again. He smiles as you press quick kisses to his lips, happy to see him.

"I missed you! how was your trip?" You ask, your arms still wrapped around his neck. "It was so much fun, we got so much evidence it was crazy." He smiles as he goes on to explain some things that happened. He stops mid sentence when he notices the loved look on your face.(I hope that made sense, it's kind of like the look when the person you like or your significant other is like talking about something they like and you're just like in awe.)

"What?" He says. "Nothing. I just love you so much." You kiss him again. "Jake, Corey and Colby want to come over later today is that ok?" Sam asks as you grab your bags. "Yeah of course. I need a nap first though." You say. "Yes I missed our naps together." Sam goes off to change from his jeans and sweater. After you put things away you walk into the bedroom and put on an xplr hoodie and shorts, changing out of the leggings and crop top you were originally in.

Sam was laying in bed already, scrolling through his phone. You snuggle up next to him, quickly falling asleep. He doesn't realize this at first but when he does he takes a quick picture of the two of you, captioning it,

before posting it to Instagram and dozing off with you. A couple hours go by, and the two of you missed the texts from the guys asking when to come over. Colby had a spare key so he said he'd check on the two of you. He quietly walked in, heading towards the bedroom. He pulled out his phone and filmed as he pushed open the door, revealing the two of you still sleeping, Sam's arm wrapped around your waist, your hands near your face and your hair sprawled everywhere. The video flips to show Colby rolling his eyes.

"Colby?" Your voice is small, having just woke up. "Came in to check on you two, you weren't answering your phones." You grab your phone and glance at it, looking at the notifications. "I'm sorry." You carefully move away from Sam. "Long time no see." You give him a quick hug. "Oo showing the merch." He laughs quietly as you show off. "You mind if I film?" He asks.

"No not at all. C'mere I got something to show you." You walk out of the room and to a closet as Colby turns on his camera, grabbing two bags. "I got you a sweater while i was out the other day." You pull out a black hoodie, with a design on the back, (idk just imagine something colby would like.) and you hand it to him as he sets the camera up on the counter.

"Oh my god thank you!" He takes the hoodie with smile, immediately throwing off the hoodie he already had on and put on the new one. "Thoughts?" He spins around. "It looks great." You laugh as he does a little run way walk. "Whatcha strutting for this time?" Sam comes out of the room rubbing his eyes.

"Y/n got me a sweater! Look at the back!" He turns around and back again with a big smile on his face. Sam makes his way over to you, he wrapping you in his arms and kissing you. "I got you a sweater too babe." With his arm still around your waist you grab the other sweater from the bag. At this same Jake and Corey come rushing in the front door.

"You didn't get anything for us?" Jake says with a playful tone. "I did actually." You smile reaching for the other bag. "Here." You hand them their hoodies and can't help but smile as they get all excited and put them on. "Look at the sleeves." You grab the camera and show them. You had embroidered small designs on the sleeves, with their names in their favorite color. "Oh my god this is so cool!" Corey laughs and looks to you.

"Thank you babe!" Sam gives you another kiss, both your smiles connecting. "I can't kiss you but i can give you a hug." You laugh as the other boys agree and wrap you up in a hug. "Who's hungry?" You ask. "Me!" they all respond at the same time. "I'll make dinner." You laugh lightly as you make your way to the fridge to grab ingredients while they celebrate, happy to have a meal made by you.

You finish dinner, and everyone eats. you all hangout for a little bit before others return to their own apartments. You're cleaning up some things when Sam plays some romantic music. He walks up to you with a goofy grin. "Can I help you?" You smile. "Dance with me?" he holds his hand out and pulls you closer once your hand is in his.

The two of you move smoothly together, spinning and smiling as the music plays. One sinc is over, and you pull him close. "I love you." Your arms around his neck, his hands on your waist. "I love you more." You playfully roll your eyes at his remark. Another song plays and the two of you are dancing with eachother again, moving in sync.

Eventually the night ends and your wrapped up in each other's arms once more, holding eachother as you drift off.

what are the hair curl types of some of your ocs?

oo this is a fun question! i'll just go over a few of my characters and their hair ^^

octavia's got straight hair, clearly - i think she probably maintains the spikes with gel or spray or something. her hair's the only part of her that wouldn't heal/grow back should it be cut off, so she takes super good care of it. naturally i think she'd have type 4 hair, but she straightens it with an iron regularly because she doesn't have anyone to style it for her. (she probably stresses out like crazy about burning it with the iron...)

tho a character who does have braids is mallow from starsaints carnival! i think that she would've had her hair in locs from an early age, but decided she wanted a different style around 11 or so. she actually has an older sister, who i think would braid her hair for her :3

lunette is kinda similar to mallow too - i think she would've had her hair in butterfly locs or godess braids until 25 or so, when she decides to go natural. probably because it aids her job to not to have a hairstyle that's so easy to grab - tho it's not like a striking white afro is very inconspicuous either lol ^^ also i have to say her hair is naturally white for Cartoon Reasons...

those three all have naturally coily/tighter curls, tho i do have some characters who i'd consider to have loose curls! i think paro would probably have that fluffy type of hair irl, while momo's hair is more wavy.

(also, maybe it's cheating, but novocaine has cyberlox in her younger design! i wish more people knew about cyberlox, they're so cool)

ian, i have a question regarding your ocs if you don’t mind!! we often see your ocs in their nrc uniforms or in event outfits, but what would their everyday outfits look like and/or how would they dress if they could get their hands on their dream wardrobe (i.e. no limitations by idk… being whisked into a new world with no money or belongings)? in the same vein, do any of them have body mods like piercings or tattoos?

partially motivated by the aspect that clothing can reveal a lot about a person/character and one of my first questions for ocs being “okay now what piercings does this dork have” :>

SURPRISINGLY (other than in her intro post) i think i’ve only drawn yuusha in her main casual fit in these posts with jamil -> (💜) (💜) (💜) where they’re in kinda like their silly dating arc which i dont know where to place in their relationship timeline so i just figured it’s an au of some sort

(firstly i’m not 100% aware of fashion/clothing terms so forgive me, i’m just gonna use the generic terms)

ANYWAYS yuusha loves loose fits or just generally clothing that feels comfy and breathable if that makes sense, especially around her upper torso because sometimes it makes her feel self-conscious that she doesnt have a noticeable chest.

the way i would describe her casual clothing is just like- effortless-looking clothing while still managing to look nice/pretty/fashionable somewhat. she dresses for comfort AND style.

she’s fine with tight/flexible pants though, like leggings so she can move around more freely and that it’s breathable.

other than that, overall she just likes casual/warm/cozy fits that aren’t too “loud” like, just monochrome and soft colors.

but when it comes to special events, she’s more confident in dressing like a gentlemanly lady killer while still keeping that feminine vibe bc what better way to channel your feminine prowess is by beating the guys at their own game.

personally i could never do piercings/tattoos but i LOVE seeing them on others. (for piercings the most im kinda comfy having/giving my ocs with is ear piercings but otherwise it’s awesome seeing different kinds of piercings/tattoos when it comes to others) so for yuusha, i think the most she’d be willing is a few tattoos and some ear piercings.

also omg matching couple tattoos aaagh maybe i’d give yuusha and jamil one post-nrc

fun fact: when i was designing yuuna, their features weren’t usually my go-tos when making personas (the only thing was my usual was hairstyle and eye color) bc i thought i’d be over and done with twst after a bit (but look where i am now and yuuna had quite grown on me 😔)

theyre my pink barbie doll where i channel all the whimsy, cutesy fashion choices that i wish i could wear lmao 😭

similar to yuusha, they’d wear anything regardless of gender presentation. but their preference leans towards more feminine.

yuuna’s fashion choices are definitely more “loud” like more patterns, more brighter colors, etc. anything to stand out. (i know it doesn’t show in the doodle i did but hfbdjsjs i love outfit designs but i'm not super skilled in that area yet) they also like warm/cozy outfits but instead of monochrome colors, it’ll be more colorful.

and if THEY COULD, i can see them in various kinds of lolita fashion. yuuna would absolutely walk around in those if they could.
