Minuet (BWV Anh. 114) - C. Petzold
Today, I’m sharing my recording of Minuet in G, a lovely piece originally attributed to J.S. Bach but now believed to have been written by Christian Petzold. I recorded it as a duet, with soprano and alto recorders.
I love playing this piece for its elegance and lightness; it has a timeless grace that I like a lot. I hope you will enjoy it too!

The Roi Renaud: a really sad but beautiful medieval French song. I recorded it few months ago, but only took time to edit it and post it this week.
For those who are interested, you can find here the lyrics with an english translation: https://lyricstranslate.com/fr/le-roi-renaud-king-renaud.html-0

The weather has changed where I live: the wind is blowing and the rain is drumming against the windows since several days... ☔️ This weather makes me feel melancholic and I miss the sun and walks. Hopefully I also enjoy to curl up under a blanket with my cat... when family life allows it! 😅
It’s in this mood that I share my latest recording: a short piece which reflects the melancholy I've been feeling these days.
It’s Myosotis by Michel Vergnault, a piece likely written for educational purposes. It's short but I find it truly beautiful: it’s one of my favorite pieces.
Enjoy!

Lumps of pudding
My recording of Lumps of pudding by John Playford, the 32th study of the book 50 Graded Studies for descant Recorder by S. Adams and P. Harris.
It's an English song that I found beautiful and really pleasing to play!

Here's a my recording of the 24th study of the book 50 Graded Studies for descant Recorder by S. Adams and P. Harris.
It's difficult for me to play it correctly — really challenging in terms of tempo and rhythm — but it's still one of my favorites because it's so fun to play!

I'll be on vacation soon, and I can't wait! I've been completely overwhelmed with work and personal life lately, but I'm finally starting to feel the sun, relaxation, and rest 🌞⛱️ Looking forward to it!
In the meantime, I'm sharing with you this rondeau full of summer vibes!

I'm not completely satisfied with my performance, but knowing my perfectionist tendencies I preferred to stop there rather than end up frustrated...
And you, what do you think about it ?

Hi there!
I’ve just reached the end of the music book Eight Traditional Japanese Pieces. Here’s my recording of the final piece — an incredibly challenging, but really beautiful song — Esashi Oiwake, or the Horsewalker’s Song.
Enjoy!

Marronier by Jean Andreo
Hi! Today I'm sharing with you an other music perfect for the season: it's a beautiful sad song called Marronier (Conker tree in english), which is about trees that are not seen by people but regretted as soon as they are cut down 🍂
Written for children by Jean Andreo, I learnt this song at school a long time ago... but I never throw away its music score and now I'm able to play it on recorder. Memories, memories...
PS : As I said in previous posts, I'm a beginner at guitar and this accompaniement was very difficult for me, please, be kind 🥲

Here's a my recording of a lovely piece from the book 50 Graded Studies for descant Recorder by S. Adams and P. Harris. It's the study Le Tourbillon (No 15), a short Baroque piece by Jacques Aubert.
I really love that book: it contains beautiful pieces, their technical difficulties are varied, interesting and well displayed according to their difficulty: at my level each piece puts me just above my abilities, so it's an efficient book for my improvement.
I've decided to record all my favorite pieces from this book, so more recordings are coming!

I really like these japanese pieces and spend a lot of time with them. Last week I recorded one of my favorite ones : Echûohara air. Really aerial and calm, I find that this piece invites you to daydream, that's a real pleasure to play or listen to it.
