ordered a specific old pressing CD of king tubby meets rockers uptown cause it had the original album cover (the shanachie 1980something CD i have has different art thats of pablo playing the melodica as opposed to the og album cover which is a photograph of pablo behind a wall of posters n flyers n stuff) and like had already read on discogs that the shanachie cd was the superior one cause it was probably audio from a master tape or just v cleaned up and that the CD i got today was supposed to have bad very clear audible vinyl rip audio with audible cracks n pops of the record but i still got the CD anyways cause og album art goes hard and also unlike the shanachie CD it correctly lists track 7s name as king tubby meets rockers uptown as opposed to the shanachie one which mislists it as braces tower dub and also i think mislistss a lot of the names following that track due to the order being off by one or smthn. anyways when it came i was like wait this audio quality is kinda dogshit u can hear audible cracks and pops from the record lol but like i already knew that b4 so i dont know what i was expecting.

#since its such a important dub album tho i legit dont mind having different issues of it tho and like the sound isnt thin or weak #it still sounds great just u can rly hear the cracks n pops p often lol #i think cause ppl would complain abt the germanofon kraftwerk and neu bootlegs being vinyl rips i assumed it would sound similar to that #cause the germanofons ARE vinyl rips but are legitimately sooo goood that u can really not tell AT ALL #only on neu 1 CD u can hear a lil and i mean little cracking and popping at the beginning of the side 1 and 2 openers #but since ppl kno theyre vinyl rips u'll see ppl complain abt that as far as the neu bootlegs go in support of buying the remasters #which obv do sound a ton better since theyre remasters by the band members themselves but like those germanofon boots do sound great #i think also since klaus dinger denounced them ppl try to point out them being vinyl rips more n stuff #but in reality yea theyre not as good as any official remaster or release would be but legit sound clean af #and funny the germanofons sound better than the king tubby meets rockers uptonw CD since like thats official and the germanofons arent lol #ANYWAYS theres a later cd release of king tubby meets rockers uptown that has the og album art that i may look into getting #so i can have 3 CDs of them lol #not anytime soon tho since im not rly good on money ever since ive been out of work
