My friend is moving out of state with someone they've met but none of the rest of us have. This person has POTS, and during our first conversation they said something about needing to drink some water. I said what I usually do when drinking water is brought up, that if I don't chug water constantly then my vision blacks out and I get lightheaded and stuff, and they said *"That's what POTS is."* I'd never heard of it before, and I swear if my doctor has heard of it before and never brought it up in all the times I've tried to figure this out I'm gonna be pissed.
I did the at home tilt test with the blood oximeter I bught when I had covid a couple years back, and I went from 76bpm laying down to 122 bpm when I stood up, with 112 bpm being where I was at standing when I had been standing still for 10 minutes. My legs hurt like crazy by the time 5 minutes had gone by.
It's just insane to me that I've spent all these years and done all these tests and gotten so *burnt out* on the healthcare system in general, and then I finally had my Rouge the Bat Crohns moment. I have a lot of work to do now, and boy does it feel insanely insurmountable after having to spend over an hour resting to recover from *standing still for 10 minutes*, but this has to be it. This has to be what we've been missing.
I just really needed to get that out.
