From Space
Genre : Alien!au
Theme : Slight fluff(?)
Pairing : Kanghyun(Onewe) X Reader
Description : Y/N accidently got pushed into the Earth's atmosphere and sent crashing into an unsuspecting Earth boy who was busy stargazing.
âI don't know, what if someone catches us?â
As much as you enjoyed getting on your parent's nerves by going on your dangerous adventures without telling them beforehand, you knew very well that if you were to go on this one particular adventure with your dear twin cousins, you would not only have to deal with your parent's wrath but you would have to deal with the High Council's too.Â
After all, Earth had been out of bounds since eons ago. Anyone who dared to step foot on the planet, would be sent into exile without any hesitation.
There were many known theories as to why this rule existed in the first place, but nobody knew what the real reason was behind the need for it.
Tiny shivers ran down your spine at the thought of being exiled. From the stories you'd heard when you were little, exile didn't sound like a pleasant experience at all and because of that, you actually found it quite incredulous that your two younger cousins would even consider risking their lives just for the sake of-
âBut Y/N, wouldn't it be cool to have Earth as our view while we play dodgeball? Like could you imagine just how beautiful that view would be..â
Those kids were going to be the bane of your life. However, they did have a point. Earth was truly a beautiful planet to anyone who had ever set their eyes on it and being close to it would definitely be an opportunity that would only happen once in a lifetime.
No. You really shouldn't.
Shaking your head as you placed both of your hands on your hip, you firmly told your cousins,Â
âAs a responsible adult, I don't think we shouldâ
You expected to see sad frowns on your cousins' faces but instead you were met with mischievous grins. Oh no..
Dongmyeong, the older of the two twins, kicked his feet off the ground and began to circle around you in a playful manner while Dongju, the younger twin, decided to float horizontally in front of you, propping his head with his hands while looking at you with the most innocent-looking expression.
âThat's too bad..â, pouted Dongju.
âWe'll just have to go near that forbidden planet without any responsible adult supervision thenâ, sulked Dongmyeong as his shoulders slowly drooped.
A look of exasperation was plastered all over your face. You wanted to reason with them again and maybe lecture them on the consequences of going near the Earth but before you could say anything, the most dramatic gasp interrupted you.Â
Dongmyeong who was busy circling you had suddenly stopped, his eyes widened in fake fear.
When did this kid become an actor, huh?
You mentally rolled your eyes, but gestured your hand at him begrudgingly, encouraging him to finish whatever nonsense he planned to say to convince you to change your mind about going near Earth.
âBut what if something terrible happens to us, Dongju? There won't be any responsible adults there to save us from such tragedy!â, exclaimed Dongmyeong with utmost exaggeration, both of his hands were on his head.
âYou wouldn't want that to happen, right Y/N?â
Dongju's question made you speechless because he was right. You wouldn't dare to let anything bad happen to your twin cousins. Not only were they like your own brothers, but Dongmyeong and Dongju were the crown princes of your home planet. It's true they were troublemakers but they still held some power in their name and status.
An irritated sigh escaped your lips. Your uncle and aunt would be seriously pissed if they knew you let the twins go off on their own.
âFine, but we better be playing two metres away from the Earth's ozone layerâ, you grumbled.
While both of your cousins were busy hollering in excitement, you were already making a move towards Earth.
âHurry your butts up before anyone sees usâ, you groaned in frustration.
-
Dodgeball wasn't a term native to your people. It was actually said to be derived from Earth. It was a game where players tried to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves.
The only difference was that people from your home planet would charge up ordinary rubber balls with some of their own energy and that meant that whoever got hit by a flaming ball of energy would be instantly thrown back by the huge impact and left with a stinging mark. Fun.
âAlright, here we areâ, you said to your cousins who were following you from behind.
All three of you stood or rather floated in place as you marvelled at the planet in front of you.
Words could not possibly describe its heavenly beauty. Earth was truly an incredible wonder to the eyes. How could this be a forbidden planet?
âY/N, look out!â, you turned around in confusion but unfortunately you weren't quick enough to realise that the ball Dongju had thrown was coming straight towards you at high speed.
It was too late.
As soon as the ball of energy touched a part of your abdomen, you were instantly thrown back by the huge impact, it was impossible for you to even divert your direction to anywhere else other than the planet behind you.
The faces of your twin cousins changed in absolute horror as they helplessly looked on at your figure slowly growing smaller and smaller, entering the Earth's atmosphere. They honestly couldn't do anything else to save you without endangering their own lives and because of that, they remained where they were.
-
âWhy didn't you signal Y/N first that we were gonna start the game?â, Dongmyeong was the first to break away from the initial shock, his eyes widened in panic.
âWhat do you mean "signal", we always played dodgeball this way!â, shouted Dongju in frustration as he kept shaking his head in denial of what had just happened to you.
â..trueâ, mumbled Dongmyeong, letting his head drop.
The two princes fell into uneasy silence.
âWe're doomed, aren't we?â
âOh definitely..â
-
You were falling. You don't fall, you float but you were falling at that moment. When will the falling stop?
Maybe it was gravity that was pulling you down. You'd learnt about it in a lecture that Earth was the only planet that had this force that could pull you down towards the centre.
Despite being in a terrifying situation, you forced yourself to close your eyes, to let all the fear and panic inside you fade away. Hugging the energy ball tightly to your abdomen, you could feel a wave of peace washed over you.Â
âI really hope the landing's softâ
-
Life could be tiring sometimes without a doubt. That's why people have hobbies, to distract themselves, to find an escape from their routine.
Hyungu's no different.
His fascination with astronomy started way back when he was younger when he used to have intricate dreams about asteroids, stars, and just about everything related to the universe above.
When he got older, he never once missed an opportunity to go stargazing. Lucky for him, he'd stumbled across this lonely hill one night while taking a longer route back home during his first year of university.Â
The view from it was like no other. Hyungu would simply lie down on the plain grass and admire the map of stars twinkling above him. If he stayed a little longer, he might even catch a shooting star or two.Â
There was a whole universe out there, and he could only watch it from his tiny little planet. Even so, he was still happy because stargazing truly felt like an infinite bliss for him.
-
On the 24th of November, he decided to visit the hill to meet his twinkling companions. He was also hoping he'd come across a few shooting stars to make some wishes. It was, after all, his birthday.
The path he took had cherry blossom trees lined up all the way to the hill, but their branches were bare without a single pink flowery beauty on them as winter was slowly approaching. Wisps of the cold wind blew on his face, sending tiny shivers throughout Hyungu's body. He hugged his white parka tighter around him to keep himself warm.
He had expected the night to be freezing which was why he came prepared with a huge thermos filled with delicious homemade hot chocolate tucked away safely in his tote bag. The night's stargazing experience would be just wonderful, he was sure of it.
Taking slow careful steps up the hill, he could already see his stars welcoming him. Regulus was shining brighter than ever which made Hyungu smile dearly in adoration of his favourite star.
After finding his usual spot, Hyungu immediately plopped on the grass with a soft thud. When he looked up into the sky, he could see dozens of beautiful stars scattered all over, looking as though they were like freckles on a person's face.
He started to search for constellations that he could remember off the top of his head and with each success, he bumped his fist in the air in victory.Â
âI probably looked funny when I did thatâ, he chuckled to himself, his ears turning a faint shade of red. Thankfully, no one was there to witness it.
This went on for about a few minutes before something that was moving very fast caught Hyungu's attention from the corner of his eye. Turning his head sharply towards the source, excitement rose from inside of him.
A shooting star!
Normally, he would close his eyes and clasp his palms together as soon as he saw a shooting star to make a wish, but this time, he hesitated.
He noticed something odd about it.
Firstly, it was slightly bigger than an average shooting star. Secondly, it was glowing purple. The second part was what shocked Hyungu the most, he had to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. When did shooting stars become purple? Did he miss some kind of unforeseen phenomenon which caused them to change colours? Whatever it was, Hyungu was confused to say the least.
To make things even weirder, the shooting star had stopped moving halfway across the sky and was now directly in front of Hyungu's line of vision. It also seemed to be getting bigger and bigger as time passed by. Unfortunately, that's when he finally realised that the so-called shooting star was actually heading towards his direction, and it was moving fast.
Hyungu's eyes widened but he was frozen in place, too scared to move an inch from where he was. All he could do was shield his face with his padded arms, hoping that it would be enough to brace the impact.
He stood like that for a few minutes but when he heard nothing from the other side, he slowly removed his arms from his face. He really didn't expect to meet a pair of luminous gray eyes staring back into his own black ones, much less a whole person hovering above him.
Hyungu shared the same shocked look as the mysterious person. He didn't quite understand how this person could possibly be off the ground without having anything attached.
-
âWhat the-â, you whispered in confusion.
The fall took a while before it came to a stop. When it did, it didn't feel like you'd landed on something. Instead, you felt like you were still suspended in mid-air. Curious to know why, you slowly opened your eyes for the first time since you entered the Earth's atmosphere. Immediately, you were taken aback by the sight in front of youâ or rather, below you because there was literally someone else, a boy, sitting on the ground below you. Before you could take a good look at him, you felt an invisible force push you in the back and send you crashing into the Earth boy.
His jaw hit your nose, and your forehead hit his.
The both of you were groaning in pain, lying a few feet away from each other after you had instinctively pushed yourself off of him upon impact.Â
âWell, that was certainly a soft landingâ, you said sarcastically as you got up from the cold ground while still rubbing your nose bridge to relieve the pain. You even had to blink a few times to adjust your blurry vision to your new surroundings.
The flames of the ball that you were hugging all throughout your fall down to Earth had already been extinguished and it was now resting against the Earth boy's foot.Â
The Earth boy..
For a second there, you had forgotten all about him. You were a bit concerned though. Poor him probably didn't expect someone to crash into him from outer space.
With shy steps, you gingerly approached him. Just like you, he was also rubbing his nose bridge as he sat up from the ground and stretched out his legs. His eyes were closed too.
Once you were beside him, you crouched down to his level and lightly tapped his left shoulder twice.Â
-
Hyungu was trying so hard to ignore the pain on his nose but it felt like he had just been hit hard by some type of metal. He was busy rubbing it when suddenly, he felt two light taps on his shoulder.Â
Opening his eyes, he turned his head to his left and saw that the same mysterious person was smiling at him. Hyungu couldn't help but gape at this odd stranger's appearance. With hair of regal purple and eyes illuminating silver radiance, the person truly looked otherworldly.Â
So aliens don't really look like E.T.?
-
Behind your smile, you were feeling kind of awkward because the boy had stopped moving once he laid eyes on you.
Is this Earth boy broken or something?
Not sure what made you do it, but you decided to reach your finger out and poked his forehead with it. You were glad that it took him out of the trance that he was in. Now, you could finally try asking him some of the questions that had been bothering you since you arrived on Earth.
âHi, do you know where I could borrow a bio-ship? I really need to go back home as soon as possibleâ, you asked the Earth boy politely, pointing a finger upwards towards the sky.
Unfortunately, you were met with silence.Â
âYou do have bio-ships here on Earth, right? You know, the ones that are organic and make you look really cool when you take them for a spinâ, you elaborated, assuming that maybe bio-ships went by another name on Earth and this Earth boy might be confused by that.
However, when he continued to give you confused expressions with no replies whatsoever, realisation finally hit you.Â
âOh no no no, please no, it can't beâ, you shook your head furiously, desperately trying to reassure yourself but failing in the process.
Grabbing the boy's padded shoulders and shaking them back and forth gently, you hoped that your assumptions were wrong when you asked him, âDo you understand what I'm saying?â
From confusion to concern, the Earth Boy replied back, but unfortunately, not a single word was understood by you. Whatever he said was too foreign to your ears, you couldn't even guess the meaning of anything he was trying to say to you.
You stood up from where you were crouching and moved a few steps away from the Earth boy. With your back facing him, you placed a hand on your chest and tried to calm yourself down with slow breaths. Panicking wouldn't help your situation, so the best you could do right now was to proceed with a clear mind. Maybe then, could you think of something that could help overcome this language barrier.
 -
This definitely was the weirdest encounter Hyungu had ever experienced in his whole life. Who would've thought that a shooting star that turned out to be an actual person would be talking to him in some kind of alien language right now.Â
Of course, he didn't know how to respond so he just kept quiet but the moment the mysterious space person started panicking and stood up from beside him, that's when Hyungu decided to pack his stuff as fast as he could and attempted to run away as quietly as possible. He had had enough of weird things happening to him in one night.
Tiptoeing down the hill, Hyungu kept looking back to make sure that the person was still there. Once he knew he was much further away from the hill, he slowed down his pace and leisurely strolled along the path that would take him back home to the dorms.
-
Did the Earth boy honestly think you didn't notice his retreating figure? His footsteps weren't as quiet as he probably thought they were.
While you were still unsure of what to do, you still followed him from behind because he might be the only one who could help you. Besides, there weren't any other Earth people around anyway.
You raked your brain to search for some solution. You could've sworn there was something you could do to learn a foreign language in an instant. There was a lesson around it when you took Earth Studies as an elective last year. You just had to remember what it was.
A low rumbling sound interrupted your thoughts. Clutching your stomach, you sighed in annoyance. It's been a few hours since you last ate or drank something. Moments later, another sound came from in front of you, this time it was a low gasp. You slowly raised your head to see that the Earth boy had finally realised that you were following him all this while. His eyes were wide open and his cheeks were tinted with a faint shade of red.
In a blink of an eye, he started to run. You were dumbfounded by his action but at that moment, something clicked in your mind and you began to chase after him.
âWait, hold up! I need to do somethingâ, you called out to him despite knowing that he couldn't understand anything you're saying.
He was fast but you were faster. When you heard the rustling of his clothing growing quieter, you took this chance to pick up your speed. Once he was already an arm's length away from you, you reached your right hand out and grabbed the sleeve of his padded clothing, causing him to halt.
You turned him around to face you. Not giving him any time to comprehend what was happening, you immediately landed a small peck on his rosy cheek. When you pulled away, the Earth boy blinked his eyes a few times before falling limp on the ground.Â
Hmm Earth people faint when we do that?Â
Even after you did that, you weren't completely sure if you had already absorbed the language of the Earth People. The only way to check was to wait for this Earth boy to wake up.
Folding your arms in annoyance, you began eyeing the bag that he was carrying. As if on cue, your stomach rumbled one more time. Touching your abdomen, you wondered if he had anything on him right now.
Isn't that stealing?Â
You shook your head reassuringly.
It's "borrowing"
Satisfied with your own logical reasoning, you took a step closer to the purple bag that was still slung on the Earth boy's left shoulder. You lifted his arm up and removed the bag, leaving his arm to fall back to the ground with a thud. You peered at his face for a second and saw that he was still unconscious.
âHow long before he finally wakes up?â, you stifled a laugh.
Holding the bag in your hands, you began to rummage through it, searching for anything that could stop your stomach from making any more embarrassing sounds.Â
Eventually, you found something. It seemed like a mere metallic cylinder at first but when you shook it near your ear, you could hear some type of liquid swirling inside. Eager to know what it was, you unscrewed the lid and brought the brim closer to your nose. When you inhaled, a strong rich sweet-smelling scent greeted you.
Bringing the cylinder to your lips, you downed the chocolate-coloured liquid in one shot. You let out a happy sigh as you could feel the silky smooth texture of it against your throat. It was absolutely delicious, you had never tasted anything like it on your home planet. It was gone in an instant!
Setting the cylinder aside, you lazily turned your head towards the Earth boy's direction to see him staring back at you.
âOh great, you're awake!â, you smiled at him.
âDid you finish all of that?â, he pouted, âI didn't even get to taste it and it's goneâ.
âAww I'm sorry about thatâ, you apologised while looking guiltily at the empty metallic cylinder.
âOh no, it's okay- Wait a minute!â, he exclaimed halfway through his sentence, pointing a shaky finger at you. âI understand you!â
Your whole face suddenly lit up when you heard those words, âYou do? You understand what I'm saying?â, you asked him excitedly.
The Earth boy nodded his head enthusiastically. He too, was smiling in excitement, though he wasn't exactly sure why.
âIt worked, I can't believe it worked!â, you whispered to yourself in glee. Now, you're one step closer to finding a way back home.
The sound of someone clearing their throat echoed into your ears. You figured it came from the Earth boy so you just hummed back in response.
âI don't mean to offend, but are you..an alien?â
Upon hearing that, you turned your head sharply at him which caused him to look away shyly.
Tilting your head a bit, you shrugged, âWell if being an alien means I'm from up there then yes, I'm an alienâ, you told him nonchalantly.
âOh w-wow, that's uhm niceâ, he stuttered back awkwardly while scratching the back of his ear.
Even though you're extremely curious to know what life was like on Earth, you had to abandon any thoughts of exploring it.Â
âAnyway, do you know where I could borrow a bio-ship or any type of spacecraft? I really need to get homeâ, you asked him in a serious manner.Â
The Earth boy repeatedly tapped a finger on his lips in concentration, trying to think of an answer. However, when he looked like he had one, he gave you an uncertain smile. You were a bit worried to listen to what he had in mind.
âThere is a place which has those..â, he trailed off.
Why did it seem like there would be a 'but'?
â..but normal people can't just go there and borrow a spacecraft, it's government propertyâ, he furrowed his eyebrow at you in empathy, âI'm sorryâ
You felt your heart shatter into a million pieces. Assuming that this so-called government was like your home planet's High Council, there was no way you would ever be able to leave Earth any time soon. Heaving a sigh, you waved your hand dismissively at the Earth boy.
âNo worries, I guess I'm stuck here for a whileâ, you mumbled defeatedly while raising your head up to look at the night sky. You hoped that your twin cousins were at least busy finding a way for you to get back home.
From the corner of your eye, you could see the Earth boy visibly contemplating on something.
âUhm..do you have a place to stay?â
A low gasp escaped from your lips. You hadn't thought about that at all. âNo, I've never been to Earth before, so I don't know anyone hereâ, you frowned deeply as you hugged your elbows. All of a sudden, you felt alone and you wanted to cry.
But then, you could hear a soft kind voice asking you in the most gentlest way, âDo you maybe want to stay at mine? It's actually a dorm with a few other people but I'm sure they won't mind itâ
âI don't want to trouble you..â, you already felt bad for being such a burden to this young Earth boy.
âTrouble? Helping someone else who's in need isn't a trouble at allâ, he beamed at you reassuringly.
You hesitated for a while before accepting his offer. Something about this Earth boy made you feel like he was someone you could trust.Â
Soon after, the two of you began heading towards the Earth boy's dorm, walking side-by-side each other. Your eyes were wandering everywhere the whole time, soaking in the beauty of Earth.
âI'm Hyungu by the wayâ
You stifled a laugh but quickly tried to hide it by covering your mouth with your hand.
Hyungu looked at you in confusion, not understanding why you thought his name was funny.
âSorry, it's just that I've been calling you Earth boy in my head the whole time since I landed hereâ, you explained to him apologetically. You could feel the heat rushing to your cheeks so you looked away, hoping that he didn't notice it.
âI'm Y/Nâ, you told him.
âAren't you cold, Y/N?â, he shivered as a cold breeze blew on their faces. Hyungu kept tugging at his parka to try and stay warm but he noticed that his new alien friend was completely unfazed by the freezing weather. In fact, he was bewildered when he first saw you because you weren't wearing any thick warm clothes.
âNopeâ, you simply replied back.
He nodded and the both of you went back to walking silently beside each other.
At that moment, Hyungu finally accepted that he probably wasn't dreaming anymore.

Dimples (Pt. 4)
Genre : crush!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Dongmyeong(Onewe) X Reader
Description : you begged Dongju to tutor you.
You could barely keep your eyes open by the time last period ended. Whatever the teacher said just went in one ear and went out the other. You groaned at yourself as you looked down at your empty notebook. You couldn't risk your grades from falling.
Getting up from your seat, you slapped a hand behind Dongju which caused him to jump. Dongmyeong, who's beside him, peered over to see what's going on.
âOw, what was that for Y/N??â, he exclaimed as he tried to rub his back. He couldn't reach the spot where you hit him so Dongmyeong had to do it for him.
âDongju-ah~â, you cooed.
He paused to look at you in disgust.
âDongju-ah, you're a kind friend right?â, you dramatically flapped your eyelashes at him and showed him your empty notebook.
He snatched the notebook from your hand and his eyes shifted to you suspiciously. Once he glanced down at the pages, he sighed knowingly.
âY'know, I should start charging you for each time you come to me for helpâ, he flipped the pages of your notebook before handing it back to you.
âHow about I pay you with hugs?â, you proceeded to embrace your friend in a tight hug, almost cutting his air supply.
âWha-Oof!â
You squeezed his body even tighter.
âC-can't breatheâ, Dongju squeaked.
You continued to hug him until you felt cold fingers slowly prying your arms off of Dongju. It didn't take long before Dongju was finally free. And it sure as heck didn't take long for him to send glares at you.
âWhat are you, crazy?â
âSo that's a yes?â, your eyes twinkled with hope.
âSaturday. 10.30. Bring some snacks.â
âYES!! YOU REALLY ARE A KIND FRIENDâ
âYeah yeah, I knowâ, he waved his hand lazily at you.
Rolling his dark brown eyes at you, he shifted his attention to your left and then to your arms. He covered his mouth and faked a cough.
âI know Y/N has nice arms, but you can let them go now..Dongmyeong-ieâ, Dongju hummed in a teasing manner.
Immediately after, you felt a weight hastily lifted from your arms and saw a certain Son brother acting like nothing happened.

Online Confession
Genre : videocall!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Harin(Onewe) X Reader
Description : an unexpected early confession
You hugged your knees as you watched Harin flay his arms around like a madman. If you were physically there with him, you would have slapped his arm playfully as you laughed uncontrollably at whatever story he was telling.
The thing was, you weren't there with him. So instead, you repeatedly smacked your desk till Harin's image started to shake from your laptop screen.
â-and when I tried to fix that frame, the others started falling over!â, Harin exclaimed as he facepalmed himself.
By the time Harin finished telling the story of his unfortunate luck, your whole face was red from laughing too much. Calming yourself down with a sip of your iced americano, you wiped a fake tear from your eye.
âHarin, why am I even friends with you?â
âThat's what I'm wondering too!â, he brought his head back with a exaggerated sigh.
âAnd it was live, Y/N! Which means there were people who saw that happening and-â
Knock knock.
Startled at the sudden sound, Harin almost fell off his chair. That caused you to start laughing again from the other side of his screen.
âIt's probably my mother, I'm gonna mute my audio for a while, Y/Nâ, he said as he hastily moved his mouse to mute his audio and you quickly tried to calm yourself down, again.
At the same time, his mother, Mrs. Ju, had already opened his bedroom door and peeked her head inside. Her eyes squinted to see who her son was talking to on his laptop. When she realised it was you, she let herself in.
Grinning widely at Harin who was a little bit annoyed his conversation with you was interrupted, Mrs. Ju asked, âHarin-ah, who are you talking to?â
Rubbing his face with his palm, Harin replied exasperatedly, âJust a friend of mine, motherâ
While this was going on, you had noticed that Harin didn't actually mute his audio but instead, he accidentally clicked on this filter that made sparkles appear. You wanted to laugh at his dumb mistake but you held it in. You didn't want to interrupt them so you just kept quiet and continued listening while playing with the ears of your stuffed plushie.
âNo, that's not just any friend, right?â, his mother walked closer towards his son and gave him a look.
âI don't know what you mean, mothe-â, Harin replied nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck, which during the years you'd known him you'd figured out that that was a sign of him lying.
Your head perked up when you saw him doing it.
âAww Harin-ah, don't tell me you haven't confessed to her yet..â, his mother looked at him pitifully as she sat on the edge of his bed.
Harin panicked. He quickly turned to look at you from his screen and then back to his mother. âMother!..I don't know when's the right timeâ, his voice softened as he uttered the last few words. His head bowed.
From behind him, you waved enthusiastically at his mother. Thankfully, Mrs. Ju caught your gesture from the corner of her eye.
âAh, Y/N-ahâ, she beamed at you, âhow are you, sweetie?â
Harin, whose head was bowed, raised his head slowly and looked at his mother questioningly.
âMother, the audio's muted, she can't reply back to you cause she can't hear yo-â, Harin couldn't finish his sentence.
âUh yes I can, dummyâ, you finally retorted bringing Harin's attention back to his laptop. His eyes were wide like glass balls as he processed the fact that this whole time, you had heard everything. It was hilarious actually, seeing his whole face slowly turn into a shade of red.
You turned your attention back to Mrs. Ju. But just as you were about to reply to her, Harin had slammed his laptop shut, automatically ending the videocall the two of you were having since two hours ago.
It was nearly ten minutes since the call ended and you were still frozen in your chair. You couldn't bring yourself to move. The same question kept flooding your head non-stop.
Harin likes me?
Clutching your chest carefully, you tried saying the same question out loud,
âHe likes me?â
Either way, whether you were thinking about the question or saying it out loud, you were definitely sure you felt the thing that you tried so hard to deny bubbling in your tiny little heart.
[a/n]

Ring On My Ears (pt. 1)
Genre : projectpartners!au
Theme : mild fluff
Pairing : Cya(Onewe) X Reader
Description : you were paired up with this quiet boy in your class for an art project. turned out, he had a hobby that included playing the bass guitar and maybe..producing some original songs.
Part 1 Part 2
Lee Giwook.
You stared at the namelist your teacher had posted in front of the class. Looking back and forth between the name and yours beside it, you subconsciously scratched your right ear.
Who in the world was Lee Giwook?
The art class you were in was an elective. Hence, not everyone in your grade took it, leaving the class with only a handful of students. That was why you were a little puzzled when you saw an unfamiliar name on the namelist. You weren't even sure whether there was anyone in your class who went by Giwook. You thought of asking your teacher about it after class.
Tearing your eyes away from the namelist, you headed back to your seat. Class was about to finish anyway. You decided you might take a quick nap to pass the time. It wasn't like your teacher had anything more to add to the lesson.
As you were about to pull out your chair, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You paused for a bit before turning your head to the person who tapped.
No name registered in your head when you saw the boy who stood in front of you. He had his hair covering his eyes so you couldn't properly see his face.
âYeah?â, you asked cocking an eyebrow at him.
âYou're Y/N, right?â, he adjusted the strap of his canvas bag before shrugging his shoulder.
âMhm..â, you hummed in response. Who was this boy?
Then it clicked.
âAh, are you Lee Giwook?â, your face lit up when realisation struck. He nodded. So he was your partner for the end-of-year art project.
âWere you always in this class? Cause I swear I've never seen you beforeâ, you asked while dragging an empty seat for him to sit. You were genuinely curious.
âAbout that..I'm a transfer student but I've been in this class for two months nowâ, he explained sweeping some of his hair away from his face.
Finally, you could see his eyes. It'd be a lie if you said he wasn't attractive. He had petite pink lips, the cutest nose and eyes that twinkled. Not to mention, dude had the babiest of baby face. If you could, you wanted to pinch his cheeks hard.
Snapping out of your thoughts, you gave him a guilty smile, âPlease don't kill me but I didn't know you existed until nowâ, you clasped your hands as if begging him for forgiveness.
He chuckled before lowering your hands on the table. âIt's pretty normal I guess, I don't really..make myself known to othersâ, he bit his lips while tracing the doodles scribbled on your table with his painted nails.
âWell,â you placed a hand on his shoulder, âwe're gonna be stuck together for the next half of the yearâ.
Hearing those words came out from your mouth, He lifted his head to look at you. Only problem was, he was looking at you with pouty lips. Just like that, you felt heat rushing under your cheeks. Oh boy.
You cleared your throat before holding your hand out to him, âLet's get to know each otherâ.
That turned out as a kept promise as the two of you slowly became friends.
When he said he 'didn't really make himself known to others', he wasn't lying. You wouldn't have noticed him in class before because he'd always be in his zone. Even when he was two seats in front of you, it was as if no one was sitting there. He would silently listen to whatever your teacher instructed and make his art in peace. Sometimes, you would stare in his direction whenever you were stressed out with a piece and instantly you'd be engulfed in a calming warmth.
That was who Giwook was. He was quiet. He was reserved. He was your friend.
You'd learned a lot about him during project meetings in school. And he, you. You even dared to say that he was your first ever true friend.
Sadly, your growing friendship wasn't enough to make your art project go away. Almost everyday, you had to stay after school with Giwook to finish a part of it.
The topic was on 'Evolution', so the both of you had decided to focus on the evolution of music. The plan was to create a live installation of how music had progressed over the years. There was going to be big paintings placed behind one another depicting the different eras in history. When people walked between the paintings, they would hear various genres of music being played through different speakers. The idea came from Giwook. You thought it was brilliant.
Few months in, the two of you were sitting under a random tree eating lunch and discussing about your art project. The different eras paintings were done. The only thing left to do was the music. Giwook suggested doing the planning at his house because he had a keyboard and a bass guitar.
âWait a minuteâ, you placed a finger on his lips.
Your sudden gesture surprised not only you but him too as he had stopped whatever he was doing. He had his chopsticks in mid-air and his mouth was full of chicken. You giggled silently at the sight of him. Baby Giwook really needed a bib. Barbeque sauce was almost smeared all over his whole face.
âDid you just casually mention you having a keyboard and bass guitar at home?â, you asked him while gently wiping your finger and his mouth with a tissue.
âMhmâ, he hummed reaching over to take another drumstick from the box.
You slapped his hand away.
âOw, you could bring your guitar over too..â, he whined as he gingerly rubbed the hand you had slapped.
You smiled at him as you took a bite from your sandwich. How did he even know you had a guitar at home?

Dimples (Pt. 3)
Genre : crush!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Dongmyeong(Onewe) X Reader
Description : you're having a tough time figuring out who sent the anonymous note.
It was kind of weird not having lunch with the twins like every other day. On top of that, you're not even sure if Hwanwoong's lunchbreak coincided with yours. He was two years older than you so your schedules were different.
Despite the obvious age gap, the two of you got along well. Sometimes you would walk home together, seeing that you're neighbours and all.
Hwanwoong's a sweet guy. Shorter than the average but he didn't let that get the best of him. He's also a performing arts student who was absolutely amazing at dancing. He's part of a dancing duo alongside Lee Geonhak-sunbaenim and would usually perform at your school's festivals.
Still, you couldn't shake off the thought of him being the one who sent the note.
As you entered the cafeteria, your eyes scanned the whole room for him. At last, you found him sitting at a table with his bestfriend, Keonhee-sunbaenim and Geonhak-sunbaenim. They were chatting away about something but stopped when they saw you approaching their table. You gave them a small wave.
âDo you guys mind if I sit here?â
Hwanwoong patted the seat beside him, âNah, go aheadâ
âWhere's the Dong Twins by the way? Did you guys fight or something?â, Geonhak-sunbaenim quirked an eyebrow at you while he munched on an apple.
âHeh, no..they just said they were gonna have lunch in classâ
They all nodded in understanding. The air was slowly becoming a bit awkward with the four of them together.
To make things worse, Hwanwoong decided to bring up the topic of finding a date to bring to the annual fireworks display next week. You felt yourself tensed up at the mention of a date. You didn't want to assume that Hwanwoong was hinting at something because honestly, you saw him as a brother rather than someone you would want to be romantically-involved with.
He was enthusiastically thinking of things he wanted do with his date. You tried to listen in but your mind was a chaotic mess. If it was really Hwanwoong who wrote that note, you couldn't think of a gentle way to reject a sweet guy like him
âHm girls like compliments, right? Maybe I should give her a jar full of handwritten compliments-â
Cough
Could it really be him? You faked another cough before excusing youself from their table.
Once you were sure they couldn't see you, you make a run for it. You stopped at a random staircase and slid yourself down against it. You tried calming yourself down with deep breaths.
âWhy couldn't the person just sign the damn note??â, you grumbled.
âTalking to yourself now, Y/N?â, a playful tone came from behind you.
You looked behind and raised your head to see Kang Hyungu resting his arms on the staircase railing.
Now, Hyungu was a kind of a celebrity in school since he's the main guitarist of the school band. It's not like people would flock around him or anything. They'd just be fawning over his talents and looks behind his back. You might had had a small crush on him when you started high school but now you only saw him as a cool friend.
âWhat's it to you?â, you sarcastically replied him.
He walked down some steps then paused.
âI guess nothingâ, he shrugged while smiling widely at you.
âSee you in band club after school, Hyunguâ, you stood up and waved him goodbye.
Walking back to class, you kept thinking. Could it be Hyungu? He acted kind of normal towards you. Or maybe you were just oblivious?
You kept that thought at the back of your mind once you saw two familiar-looking faces in class. What a surprise, they were giving weird looks at each other.
Dongju was giving Dongmyeong suggestive eyebrow raises while Dongmyeong was giving Dongju murderous glares. You decided to surprise them by placing your face in between the two and..it worked.
âWhen did you-â, both of them said at the same time before you cut them off.
âMagicâ, you dramatically brushed off your shoulders and headed back to your seat.
As you took out your textbook for the next lesson, a small voice in your head whispered to you about something you had noticed before that didn't usually happen that often.
Dongmyeong talked to you twice in a day.
[a/n]
honestly i kinda hate the flow of how things are going in this fic so far but oh well ^ ^ dongmyeong sweetie, please let me poke your cheekiess

Dimples (pt.1)
Genre : crush!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Dongmyeong(Onewe) X Reader
Description : everyday you'd find a new note stuck on your table with compliments written on it. you tried figuring out who sent them but to no avail. your friend Dongju on the other hand, knew exactly what went on behind the scenes.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Saying that you loved school would be an overstatement. You didn't really hate it but you also didn't really like it. The only thing that you'd look forward to everyday would be seeing your bestfriend, Dongju.
Dongju and you had been attached to the hip since the very first week of high school. At first, he gave off the impression that he was cold. Completely unapproachable. People who didn't know him back then would think that he was glaring at them everytime their eyes met his. But, it was not long after they'd finally realise that Dongju was the total opposite of all that.
Imagine a teddy bear. A cute fuzzy teddy bear who loved doing aegyo. That'd be him right there. That'd be who Son Dongju was.
Now Dongju, he had a twin. His name was Dongmyeong. You weren't as close to him as you were with Dongju but if you saw him around in school, you would always wave at him.
You didn't understand though why he'd always look away the second he saw you. Maybe he was just shy.
Another Monday came and you were already wishing the day would end soon. You didn't even get to have breakfast because you were running late and had to catch the usual bus to school.
You found yourself dragging your legs slowly to class. Thankfully, you had your earphones in to block out anything that could ruin your morning. Your half-opened eyes wandered around the hallways as you saw students chatting away with their friends excitedly. If only you were that enthusiastic in the mornings, life would be much more cheerful. People who knew you knew not to approach you before the bell rang. They didn't want to face a pissed-off you.
As you walked up the staircase, you heard a muffled sound calling out your name.
Apparently, there was someone who didn't get the do-not-disturb memo. And you knew exactly who it was.
âY/N!â, the voice screeched behind you causing you to cringe internally.
You took off a side of your earphones and sighed heavily before turning slowly to give the person your most annoyed face.
Son Dongju, you little-
âDamn, you're fastâ, he laughed between pants with his right hand resting on his chest.
âHa ha haâ, you responded sarcastically as your eyes rolled at him.
As usual, you really couldn't be annoyed at him for the whole day. So it wasn't long before your annoyed frown broke out into an annoyed smile.
You waited for him to reach the same steps as you before going to class together. Of course, you also had noticed his twin beside him. It wasn't hard to miss his dimpled shy smile that he tried so hard to hide whenever you were near him.
âHi, Dongmyeong!â, you peeked your head out from beside Dongju while waving at the older twin.
âH-hey, Y/Nâ, he greeted back almost in a whisper with his eyes barely looking at you. You didn't find his gesture rude at all because you thought it was normal coming from a shy person.
When the three of you entered class, your eyes instantly caught sight of something that was sitting on your desk. Moving closer, you saw a blue sticky note.
You pulled your chair back to sit while staring questioningly at the note that you had already peeled off from your desk.
The day wouldn't shine as brightly without you in it :)
The note wasn't even signed so it left you wondering about the person who would leave you that note. You almost blushed at the compliment written on it but stopped when you realisedâ was it a prank? Did someone just randomly decide to mess with you?
You frowned slightly at the possibility before putting the note in your backpack. Dongju, who was sitting at the table beside you, cleared his throat to get your attention. You raised your head only to see him wiggling his eyebrows at you suggestively.
âSecret admirer, Y/N?â, he smirked.
You wanted to smack the wide grin off his annoying face but couldn't as the teacher had already entered the classroom. You turned back in your seat to face the teacher, but not before giving Dongju the finger.
What you and Dongju didn't notice was that there was someone else watching their whole exchange took place. The person could feel his heart beating rapidly against his chest as he placed his hand on it to calm it down. The tips of his ears reddened especially at the part where you flipped Dongju off. Throughout the whole lesson, he stole glances at you whenever his mind wandered away from the teacher. Everytime he did so, his dimples deepened as he let out a small smile.
[a/n]
hmm..i wonder who's watching the whole exchange between y/n and dongju

Soulmates
Genre : soulmate!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Harin(Onewe) X Reader
Description : people your age were thinking about who their soulmates were. you were more interested in a certain boy who already knew who his soulmate was.
The concept of soulmates having their fates intertwined together by a common connection seemed like something out of a fairytale. Since your whole life, you had become accustomed to seeing people find their soulmates. Which always left you wondering, when were you going to stumble upon yours?
As if someone was listening in on your thoughts, your foot got caught in a pavement hole which sent you stumbling. You closed your eyes to brace the impact but it never came. Instead, an arm firmly curled itself around your waist and pulled you back to your feet. There was no need to turn around to know who this person was because as soon as you heard a strangely familiar laugh, you instantly knew it was your bestfriend, Ju Harin.
He slung an arm around your shoulders and slowed down his pace to match yours. He was towering over you so you had to look up to meet his face which annoyed you sometimes.
âClumsy as usualâ, he humoured while showing off his pearl white teeth.
You punched his arm lightly and shook your head at the insult.
You loved having Harin as your bestfriend because not only was he kind but he was also easygoing. Always managed to make any day better just by his witty and funny jokes.
Sometimes you wonder if there was ever a chance for your friendship to become more than it was if the world didn't depend on the idea of soulmates. People would be free to feel whatever they wanted towards whoever they wished to be with. That's the reason why to you, the concept of soulmates sucked.
It sucked even more because you knew Harin had already gotten glimpses of his soulmate while you only dreamt of homework and stress. On the inside, you were kind of jealous of the girl that would end up with him. Although, if it really was meant to be, then you promised to abandon any feelings you had for him.
âYou would not believe what I dreamt about last nightâ, he told you excitedly.
âIs it about your soulmate?â, you teased him and wiggled your eyebrows suggestively.
Even though you didn't want to talk about soulmates, you felt bad dismissing Harin's excitement so you had no choice but to resist the painful throbbing in your heart.
âYeah, I actually saw her face!â
Ah. It hurt.
âWell that's good, right! Now you could go meet her and hey, you could even ask her out on a dateâ, you masked your sadness with a smile.
âI'm a little nervous to reveal myself to her because she's someone I knowâ, he mumbled softly as an obvious shade of red crawled up his neck.
âYou're lucky she's someone you know, mine's probably some creepy pervertâ, you shuddered in disgust at the possibilty.
âHahaha I really doubt that, Y/Nâ
âI'm just saying, there's a possibilityâ, you exclaimed without any hint of seriousness in your voice.
After that, the two of you just talked about random stuff till you reached the school buiding.
The rest of the day was boring. Everything waskill the usual routine. When you got home though, you had the greatest shocking news of your life.
Through a text message from your best friend, you got to know that he was going to ask his soulmate on a date. You were frustrated. He only saw her face once that day and now, he wanted to go out with her without taking his time to think over it. As much as you were happy for him finding his soulmate, you couldn't just ignore your feelings. You sunk your head into your pillow and that was how you spent your entire night, crying over a broken heart till you fell asleep.
Drums.
You jolted awake in the middle of the night. Sitting upright on your bed, you placed your hand on your forehead in confusion. Was that a glimpse of your soulmate? Whatever it was, you buried your face in your hands as you sobbed quietly. The last sign of hope that Harin was your soulmate was gone because..Harin didn't play drums.
You dreaded the moment you had to face Harin in the morning.
It wasn't making it easier for you when Harin kept on approaching you more than usual. He was an absolute nervewrack. He would stumble on his words and constantly shake his leg. He told you that he was honestly nervous and afraid the date wasn't going to go well. Giving him a gentle squeeze on the shoulder, you reassured him that whatever he had planned, you were sure that anybody would fall for him.
Like that, the rest of the day went by in a blur. You were trying hard not to think about Harin's date while he was busy panicking over it.
Once you were home, you immediately entered your room and plopped yourself on your single-sized bed. You were exhausted and drained but as soon as you heard a notification on your phone popped up, you rolled on your bed lazily and reached for your phone. Swiping the screen, you saw that you had a message from Harin. Glancing at the time, you were confused because he should already be on his date. Without thinking much, you read the message.
Hey Y/N, could you come over my house? I need some help preparing for the date :)
You typed furiously before clicking send. When that was done, you got up from your bed and grabbed your black hoodie that was hanging from a chair. Slipping it on, you left your apartment to go somewhere familiar with the image of your reply still in your head.
Sure, Harin :)
Knocking on his door, you hid your shaky hands in your pockets. Why were suddenly feeling nervous? It's not like it was your date-
The door clicked and opened to reveal your bestfriend, Ju Harin. Just like that, you were speechless. No words could truly describe how handsome he looked standing in front of you. He didn't need a suit and tie to look good. Cladded in a simple striped t-shirt and plain jeans, Ju Harin had completely taken your breath away by his charms.
âUh Y/N?â
You unfroze yourself from your daydream. You could've sworn you saw a little smirk.
âYou needed my help?â, you tried to sound cheerful.
âMhm, could you put this blindfold on?â, he hummed as he unclenched his fist to reveal a black cloth.
Before you could question him, he explained that he wanted the date to be perfect so he wondered if you could stand in for his soulmate for a dry run of the date. Truthfully, you applauded his dedication to planning a perfect date even if you weren't his date. So in the end, you agreed.
You wanted to grab the blindfold and wear it yorself but Harin beat you to it. He shifted behind you and wrapped the black cloth around your eyes, tying it at the back. You felt yourself stiffened as his fingers brushed the your ears lightly. You mentally scolded yourself.
âOkay, I'm going to bring you somewhere nowâ, he whispered in your ear, his close proximity caused your cheeks to blush.
You couldn't see anything but you did feel Harin locking hands with you. You took in calm breaths.
It didn't take long before you finally stopped getting dragged by Harin.
âYou can take them off now, Y/Nâ, he said.
Fumbling with the knot, you took the blindfold off your eyes. You had to blink a few times for your eyes to adjust to the surroundings.
When it did, time stood still. His normal living room now had beautiful fairylights hanging on the walls. The dining table at the side had vanilla-scented candles and a vase filled with baby's breath. The atmosphere of the whole living room was perfect for a chill yet romantic date. Your heart involuntarily clenched.
Harin, who was at your side, walked to the middle of the room. How you didn't notice it at first was a mystery but there it was, a drumset sitting in the middle. Your eyes shifted to Harin who had drumsticks in his hands.
âSo here's the part where I tell you that I liedâ
âY/N, I didn't need your help with the date cause you are my dateâ
You didn't understand.
âRemember how I said she's someone I know? Did you ever think about the fact that the only girl I've ever talked to..is you?â
âDammit, Y/N..you're my soulmateâ
âI don't care if your soulmate isn't me, I just need you to know that I've been in love with you since the day you stood up for me against othersâ
Blinking your eyes, you felt a tear falling. You didn't realise you were crying this whole time. It all made sense now and you felt your heart warmed by Harin's confession. All that worrying and it turned out that Harin's been your soulmate all this time. And you were his.
You were overwhelmed by emotions but that didn't distract you from the sight of the drums. The only thing that didn't make sense to you. Why were drums in your dream?
âAh, the drumsâ, Harin cheekily grinned.
âI kept it a secret because I didn't want you to think I'm lameâ, he scratched his head with his drumsticks.
Wiping your tears from your eyes, you smiled softly at Harin, âYou're absolutely amazing, Ju Harinâ
His face reddened in an instant but he kept his composure. âUh- so with everything planned, I think it's time for me to make you fall for meâ, he shyly looked away from you.
Now, it was your turn to blush because that sounded really familiar as if someone he knew had said that to him the other day.

Memory (Pt. 3)
Genre : short story
Theme : angst/fluff
Pairing : Kanghyun(Onewe) X Reader
Description : will Hyungu forgive you after you broke his trust years ago?
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
It was strange, filled with emotions
And my face changed in an instant
âI love you-â No, I hate you.
Hyungu's eyes were focused on your hands cupping your banana milk, almost protectively. He never understood your obsession with it. However, he did find it an endearing trait of yours. He never admitted that to you though cause he knew you'd tease him about it everytime.
Even after years of not speaking to each other, Hyungu secretly still had a soft spot for you. He didn't really blame you for your past decisions. He knew it wasn't entirely your fault that your heart fell for the wrong person.
Whenever he saw you in the hallways at school, you always had Youngjo-sunbaenim by your side. He was your boyfriend after all. Despite that, Hyungu would sometimes try to approach you only to refrain himself once you passed by him as if he wasn't there at all. You were smiling. That was all that mattered to Hyungu. He valued your happiness above his but you were too blinded by love to see that.
The day Hyungu finally confronted you, you decided to break your friendship with him and that's when it really dawned on him that he had truly lost you. His heart felt like it'd been stabbed mercilessly by you. The worst thing for him was, you left without even looking back.
Raising his eyes to meet yours, Hyungu was genuinely surprised at how the two of you finally crossed paths with each other after all these years. It was as if fate wanted to play a silly game to bring you two back together.
Hyungu was actually supposed to buy some snacks for the guys after spending hours practising on songs for their next performance. He didn't expect to find you working at the convenient store across the road from the company. Abandoning his duty to buy snacks, Hyungu picked up two bottles of banana milk from the shelf instead. He almost dropped the milk because his hands were shaking like crazy. He wondered where all the nerves was coming from. Trying to calm himself down, he leaned his back on one of the shelves in the aisles and took a deep breath. He peeked his head out to see you staring down at the counter, probably daydreaming about something. Typical Y/N.
He tried to keep his cool when he approached the counter. You were barely paying attention to him so he intentionally placed the milk directly at where you were staring. Once you noticed the items, you instantly scanned them as per normal without looking up. Hyungu, on the other hand, was turning beet red in embarrassment at your oblivious self. 'What if you don't notice him at all?' was running across his mind. Fortunately, that still moment was saved by the glint of familiarity caught in your eyes the second you looked up from the cash register.
Time moved in a blur and Hyungu finally found himself sipping banana milk with you outside of the store.
âIf only he hadn't entered our lives, huh?â
Hyungu's question was redundant because the two of you would eventually realise by now that Kim Youngjo was a mistake made in the past.
âHyungu..â, you trailed off as you tried to find the right words to say.
âJust so you know Y/N, I still care for youâ, he interrupted softly.
Your eyes widened at his comment incredulously, âH-how could you still- after everything I did? I was horrible to you, Hyunguâ
âYou were everything to me, heck you were my best friend, Hyungu..but I treated you like trashâ, you could feel your lips quivering as tears started to form slowly.
He averted his gaze from you. He couldn't bear to see you crying because of him.
âPlease don't cry, Y/N..â, he wasn't looking at you but from the sound of his wavering voice, you knew he had tears forming in his eyes too.
âI'm not asking for us to be friends again because I would definitely make a terrible friend, all I'm asking for is forgiveness for being too dumb in the past to realise that our friendship was more important than that..guyâ
You were practically begging because you weren't sure if this chance meeting was just a one-time thing.
âYou don't need to apologise to me, we can't help with who we fall in love withâ, he shrugged as his eyes bored into your own with such intensity.
âLet's just try to move on from the past, okay?â, he gave a warm reassuring smile.
âIt might take some time before everything goes back to normal but I'm sure we'll work things outâ
Before you could reply back to him, he was already getting ready to leave. You stood up from your seat. This was it. You were going to go your own separate ways again. The feeling sucked but you had to live with it.
âUm..thanks for the banana milkâ, you awkwardly thanked him before mentally facepalming yourself. Thanks for the milk? Seriously? You're a genius, Y/N.
Hyungu was already a few steps away when you thanked him. He shook and bowed his head low, visibly trying to stifle a laugh.
When he regained his composure, he uttered something back at you with his back still facing you.
âWanna hear a funny story?â
You cocked your head in confusion.
âRemember when I said we can't help with who we fall in love with? I guess it's too late now for me to confess-â
âKim Youngjo, you lucky bastardâ
[a/n]
dun dun dunnn..is this it? is this the end? i dunno either hahah youngjo sweetie, i'm sooo sorry i did you dirty in this fic T-T

Dimples (Pt. 2)
Genre : crush!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Dongmyeong(Onewe) X Reader
Description : Dongmyeong seemed to be hiding something from you and his brother.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Classes in the morning were relatively okay. Thankfully, the teachers were cheerful enough to make lessons much more bearable. Even so, you couldn't help but let your mind wander around a bit. This time, it was thinking about the note. The note that was stuck on your desk, anonymously.
The whole time, you were trying to figure out who it could be from and you were finally left with two conclusionsâ it was either Kang Hyungu from band club or Yeo Hwanwoong who's your next-door neighbour. The only two boys who had ever spoken more than a word to you throughout your few years in high school.
Dongju and Dongmyeong didn't count cause why would they even harbour any feelings for you, right?
All thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the school bell indicating that it was already lunchtime. As if on cue, you felt a low grumble coming from your stomach.
âSomeone's a bit too hungry, huhâ, Dongju smirked at you while placing a hand on your shoulder.
Shrugging his hand off, you gave him a playful look. âWow, you read minds now?â, you questioned him sarcastically.
He faked a hurt look after hearing your blatant sarcasm and clutched his heart as if he was in pain. You had enough of his dramatic butt so you smacked his head hard before heading for the door to go to the cafeteria for lunch.
Not seeing Dongju's red fluff of hair following behind you, you stopped just before the door and spun around to find him. He was still at his desk with his hand around his twin's. It looked like they were in the middle of something.
âYou go on ahead, Y/Nâ, he said before nodding his head in Dongmyeong's direction, âMum packed us some homemade kimbap for lunch so we're just gonna eat in classâ
Switching your gaze from Dongju to Dongmyeong, you just nodded in understanding. âIt's okay, I'll find Hwanwoong and sit with him todayâ. With that being said, you continued on your way to the cafeteria leaving the twins behind.
Dongju's POV
He let out a half-smirk when he felt the hand he was holding tensed up at the mention of your neighbour's name. Dramatically turning his head around, he saw his twin's eyebrows twisted in plain confusion and suspicion.
âDongju-ah, why did you tell Y/N that Mum made us some non-existent homemade kimbap for lunch?â
The fake redhead shaked his head as he chuckled at his brother's oblivious question.
âDongmyeong-ie, is there something you're.. hiding from me?â, he asked Dongmyeong mischeviously.
âU-uh I wonder if they have curry tonkatsu todayâ, the older twin tried to walk around Dongju but unfortunately, the younger twin kept blocking his way. Dongmyeong let out an exasperated sigh.
âNot so fast, dear brotherâ
Dongju grabbed a hold of Dongmyeong's shirt collar and dragged him outside to an empty spot where there weren't that many students around. Once he was sure they were alone, he crossed his arms and leaned against a wall.
âSo..?â
Dongmyeong stood nervously opposite his brother. He really didn't want to have this conversation with him. It was already hard enough for him to come to terms with it.
âSo..what's your plan? Cause I want inâ
The only sound that could be heard was Dongmyeong's jaw dropping to the floor. He stared at his brother in disbelief. How could he have known about-
â-Y/N? Dongmyeong-ie, I've known you since we were in a womb togetherâ, Dongju lazily grinned at his brother.
âYou crushing over Y/N is obvious, even Mum knows about itâ
That comment shocked Dongmyeong. His mother knew about it? Was he that obvious?
âThe way you act around Y/N is super adorable, I started shipping the two of you secretlyâ, Dongju puckered his lips while squeezing Dongmyeong's dimpled cheeks.
âHmm should I go tell Y/N about your teeny weeny crush?â, Dongju tapped his finger on his chin as if in deep thought.
When he was about to turn his heels towards the cafeteria, Dongmyeong immediately wrapped his arms tightly around Dongju.
âDongju-aaah, p-please don't..Y/N doesn't even like me like thatâ, Dongmyeong tried to make up an excuse as Dongju tried to escape his hold.
Whoever passed by and saw the two, would probably think that they were two cats fighting each other.
Finally after much struggle, Dongju gave up. âOkay okay, I won't tellâ, he raised both hands in the air. Dongmyeong eventually let go and heaved out a sigh. His face was full-on blushing.
Looking around the halls, he scooted closer to Dongju and whispered desperately, âYou have to promise meâ
âI promiseâ
However, Dongju wasn't going to leave it as it was. His sincere smile suddenly twisted into a sinister smirk.
âBut that doesn't mean I can't help you and Y/N get togetherâ, Dongju purred playfully at his twin.
âYou would do that for me?â, Dongmyeong's gentle voice was filled with hope.
âYeah why not? You're my brother after all and I want you to be happyâ, Dongju nudged his shoulder lightly on Dongmyeong's.
Ending the interrogation, Dongju placed his arm around Dongmyeong's and slowly marched towards the vending machine for lunch, dragging his brother along.
âBy the way, Dongmyeong-ie..â
âDon't you think pick-up lines are bit too cheesy?â
Beside him, Dongmyeong groaned and covered his face with his palms. His ears slowly turning a light shade red again. Dongju was talking about the compliment he scribbled on the anonymous note.
âPlease don't ever remind me I did thatâ
