Ugh right 😩❤️ she doesn't wear them because she's got a bit of a body image issue (putting on a bathing suit on its own is a big deal for her). She had never even owned a bathing suit before being with Alistair since her parents had always encouraged her to cover up and not "tempt" people. But, she does start owning some that have a little less coverage, which Alistair is very thankful for 😏

Requested: by anon, hey :) i saw that you would write for andrew garfield's spiderman and im here to request a fic (he's SO cute i love him)! could i request a soulmate au (i don't really have a preference for what kind) where they meet at a halloween party or something fluffy? thank you so much 💕

Summary: I used the first words of your soulmate is on your wrist AU!

Peter scratched his wrist where there was still a bandage from the night before. The bandage covered the clean letters of his soulmates' first words to him but he had them mesmerized; he didn’t need to have to see them.

‘Spiderman huh?’ The words dug into his brain. 

Class was dragging on and as he stared at the board in front of him he thought about the Halloween party that was going on that night. He thought about how he could go in full Spiderman get up if he wanted. Although it might be a dead give away because all the store bought costumes were bad knockoffs. Maybe he would buy one of those and wear them for irony purposes. He could even add the authentic web shooters if he wanted to. Although if he got drunk he might slip up and shoot someone in the face. Maybe-

“Parker!” Peter looked up, knocked out of his Halloween costume daze.

“Yeah?” The teacher looked directly at him, as did the rest of his class. He scratched the back of his neck.

“I asked you what you thought about Mary Shellys book,” the teacher said. 

You walked past the classroom that Peter was in quickly. You glanced inside, seeing the teacher look sternly at one of the kids but you couldn't figure out which one. You didn't care either way. You walked out the back door and to your car. You were glad no one caught you leaving but they honestly couldn’t expect you to stick on Halloween did they?

The party was tonight and you had to get your costume ready. You had decided to go as Spiderman, your recent obsession. You were collecting little bits of newspapers when he made it into the positive news and compiling them together. Plus, it was a cheap costume and you didn’t have to think too hard about it.

You got into your car and your sleeve hiked up, revealing the even lettering of the first words your soulmate would speak to you. You didn’t look at it. You knew what it said. ‘I like the outfit.’ 

Peter walked into the party that night slowly. He was hoping that someone he knew would be there, despite the fact he figured he would have to get some punch and go. Maybe Gwen Stacy would be there. He had always wondered what her soulmate letters were. 

Peter walked up to the food table and looked over it. You glanced over at him, laughing at something one of your friends was saying. You noticed his costume, the same one you were wearing. 

“I’ll talk to you guys in a bit,” you said lowly and they nodded, letting you slink away. You walked over to him and stood beside him. He glanced over at you, noticing the costume.

“I like the outfit,” he said and you looked up at him, surprised to hear those words. You thought about your words carefully.

“Spiderman huh?” He halted and nodded stiffly, realizing those words. By the looks of his face you were hoping that those words had been the right words. Peter looked down at his shitty Walmart onesuit and realized he couldn’t get to his wrist without tearing the whole suit off. 

You realized that at the same time.

“Those are my…” you started and chuckled. “Those are my words. But I can’t show you.” He laughed and shook his head in disbelief.

“Same,” he said with a cute laugh.

“I’m Y/N,” you introduced. You held out your gloved hand and he shook it with his. 

“Peter Parker.” 

“Very nice to meet you Peter. You have great taste in costumes. Spiderman is so cool,” you said still in amazement that you had managed to meet your soulmate at a Halloween party in high school. Your heartbeat in your chest so loud you thought he might be able to hear it over the loud music and talking.

Peter nodded and looked away from you and then back at you as he laughed.

“I guess so,” he said and thought about telling you right then and there why that was so funny. You were his soulmate. You would figure it out here or there. But he waited. Not quite yet.

“You want some punch?” you asked and gestured to the food table. He nodded, happy that you could keep the conversation going.

“I would love some.”
