Everyday I know my day will end up being the best day of my life because I end it with my little man Chi. I adopted him from a rescue 10 years ago. When I picked him up at the adoption event he fell asleep in my arms right away and I knew it was meant to be. He was just a baby full chocolate in color and today he has a white face, but still loves to play with squeaky toys like a little puppy. On this special day and during the holiday season I can look back and remember the special angels who have made their journey Home. It never really gets any easier, especially during the holidays when thinking back on all those special souls who have touched my life is such a profound way with their unconditional love and their dedication to life. I am so proud to be have been able to be a part of each of their lives and I am so blessed to be called their dog dad. The love I share with them and the journey we have taken together is something I treasure every day of my life. I am so very happy I get to walk my journey of life with so many paw prints 🐾👣🐾 around mine. ⁣Hi, my name is Missie. My dad adopted Me from Second Chance Dog Rescue in Baton Rouge, LA almost two years ago. I was found all alone on a rural country road. I probably came from a puppy mill where I had so many puppies that I had two large hernias that had to be removed with surgery. I had lost most of my teeth, suffered from severe advanced heart worm disease. I was so skinny and near death it was thought I would not make it, but I had so many angels and an awesome vet with Second Chance Dog Rescue. They all saved me and brought me back to health. When dad adopted me and brought me to my happy ever after forever home it took me a long time to trust again, but now I love to always cuddle up next to my daddy. I love to relax all day and sit outside in the warm rays of the sun. Because I was abandoned and left alone on the side of the road I tend to scavenge for food outside, but I’m getting better cause dad feeds me the bestest food ever. I can be a little grumpy and bossy at times, but dad says I am the Alpha of our pack so I have to keep everyone in line. ⁣Hi, my name is Ejeb. My dad adopted Me from our Vet in Lafayette, LA 5 years ago. I was a senior when dad brought me to my happy ever after forever home. I was found by a wonderful vet tech wondering the streets all alone. I was very skinny and my teeth were very bad, but everyone took care of me at Broussard Veterinary Clinic. I love to relax all day and explore outside in our big backyard. Because I was abandoned and left on the streets I do suffer from separation anxiety. I always follow daddy around and I don’t like for him to be out of my sight. I am so very happy for all of my brothers and sisters so when daddy has to leave for work I know I’m never alone. I am the oldest out of our pack and I am the alarm to let everyone know when daddy has to leave or when he returns home. ⁣Leilani 🌺 Update!!! ⠀ ⠀ Today Leilani went for a vet visit and she is doing so well. She is heart worm negative, is walking much better and she had her stitches removed from her surgery to remove the tumor that was hanging from her chest. I adopted Leilani thinking she would be a hospice rescue, but she has other plans. What a little love can do for a broken heart. ⠀ ⠀ In just a month Leilani is doing amazing. Just yesterday when I returned home from work she was jumping around like a puppy when she saw me walk in the door and she ran a little in the back yard. ⠀ ⠀ She gets so excited when she see other dogs and is always happy being around her new siblings. She is following their lead when its time to run outside and is always in my feet when it time to eat just like all the pups. ⠀ ⠀ It’s hard to believe that someone would dump this pup in the middle of no where to suffer all alone an unthinkable fate.
