debris littered the ground, buildings around them continuing to shake amidst the chaos. alya had no idea where her brother or any of the others were, struggling enough as she was just to get from one point to another. another quake & a familiar silhouette caught her eye.

Rody is able to be cool &. composed about Deku, no - Midoriya             /             it’s a vacation, it should be his non - hero name right?             /             coming back to Otheon. He keeps his hands in his pockets &. his head firmly on lock upon his neck &. shoulders. He watches the security gate like a hawk. 

&. Pino is about to jump out of her skin: watching every direction, jumping &. fluttering &. chirping on his shoulder. Sure: Rody had a crush on Deku way back when, but you have a hero in a van you stole ( &. never paid back, now that he thinks about it… he hopes midoriya doesn’t ask… how is he supposed to get to klayd with his regular job now? ) &. go on a world - saving mission with and not get a little squishy about it?  Rody isn’t squishy, though. Pino is. Key difference.

"while i would love to say that it won't be that bad, those two...." he trails off before shaking his head, "i suppose they'd be delinquents here as well. often times, fights just happen to land on their laps so i'm just worried about you getting yourself hurt more while trying to help them."

"ah. . . yes," he answers with a polite nod. how could he forget? they were both loud, but it was obvious they both had good intentions. it wasn't a surprise why the red head had befriended them. he moves a hand to is side where said wound is still healing. "it. . . shouldn't be that bad, right?" not so bad that he'd have to step in and fight, surely. "but yes, i promise not to agitate my wounds." a pause as he falls into step beside him. "where are they, exactly?"

She eyes him a little as she crosses her legs at the knee, something about her tone just the tiniest bit sharp. 

“Can I tell you something?” It’s not really a question, though it’s said like a truly sincere one. It’s as if she’s about to gently, mercifully divulge something. She doesn’t even pause to allow him to answer. “Some of your shirts make me really sad.”

“Midoriya m’boy! Excellent work today!” All Might had been watching Midoriya’s jog from the side, giving a smile of approval as he offered a water bottle and towel. While there was still far to go, the improvement in the boy’s speed and stamina was nothing to scoff at. They’ll be cutting it close, but Midoriya will definitely be able to host One for All successfully before the entrance exams begin.

“You must be starved-- come on, let’s get some wholesome food in you. On me, of course!”

blood and dirt covered the red head’s hand, smeared across sai’s face as he was grabbed and pulled into the quiet space reno had miraculously found for them to hide in. sweat dipped down his spine, both in fear of getting caught and from what they had just done.

it was supposed to be a quick mission—– be in and out ; grab information and go before anyone could see. things had been going well, but sai stuck out like a sore thumb in his green suit, resembling deku’s to show the heroes what they had caused. he had been seen and some of his former classmates had decided to step in and try to rescue him.

though they hadn’t managed to capture him, they had slowed him down enough that reno had to come and interfere, grabbing the boy by the back of his suit and carrying him off after setting off a smoke bomb. even with that, the pros had been alerted and now they were in trouble. he swallowed thickly, hands coming to rest over reno’s, though he did not dare to pull his hand away. not yet. instead, he dragged a gloved finger against reno’s arm, spelling out a name.

C-A-S-P-E-R.

sai had yet to meet this casper, but he knew that he and reno were close and if anyone could get them out of a pinch, it would be him. he tipped his head back a bit to see reno’s reaction, to see whether or not it was even possible to get a hold of their partner who was always shrouded in darkness.

he pulled the kid closer, pressing the two of them deeper into their makeshift hiding spot, holding his own breath as more & more heroes passed by just feet away from where they hid. multiple ideas, plans, of how to escape ran through his head but shot down each other as soon as they came. it was one thing if he was alone, could possibly get away with it, but he had the brat with him & lance would kill him if he let anything happen to him when it was his job to make sure sai came back.

reno tensed even further, an instinctive action as he felt pressure against his arm, not knowing what sai could possibly want to say to him at this point. but as soon as he recognized the letters --- a name engraved into him in such a way that he could never mistake for anything else --- a fleeting thought of how does he know about him? crossed his mind before considering it.

‘ if somethin’ happened to me, would ya come help? ’  ‘ 'course i fuckin’ would. don’t ask questions you already know the answers to, red. ’ 

reno kept his hand over sai’s mouth but let his other hand drop, hidden in the darkest part of the shadows that surrounded them. & there he tapped a message, a code known only to the other, barely heard over the clamoring of footsteps, of orders yelled, over the thundering of both his & sai’s pulsing blood.

it wasn’t long before he felt the shadows around them moving, twisting ---- & then they were falling.

i can't find my airpods which makes me *screams* but i did finish all the bios to my ocs, gave my ocs mha verses and arcane verses, michael has a got verse, included their own specific studies and concepts, and a song i associate with them (deku - michael - michel) they just don't have pictures AHH. got a 90% on a quiz. gonna try to get to my drafts and finish them tonight, and also relationship tag dump. can you tell i took my sister's adderall two days in a row

FIGHTING GAMES WEREN'T ONE OF seph's number-one choices until she joined UA. growing up in the unseen, she wasn't only taught classical styles of fighting — boxing, krav maga, taekwondo, muay thai — though they were certainly drilled relentlessly into the bones of the cohort she was shunted into as a child. they were necessary for support, but the real shit was learning how to fight dirty. how to win. there is an honor code in combat sports that doesn't exist in a street fight. you don't wait for the match to start, you don't avoid the spots that hurt. it's messy. it's ugly.

even so, when kaminari first dogged her into playing against him, she was surprised at how easily this new set of rules came to her. it didn't take long for seph to crush nearly all of her classmates on her main character picks and half of them on new ones. outside of the occasional sparring partner bond, it's the first thing that's really brought her out of her shell around the rest of 1-A — if only because it lets her forget, just for a stolen moment, that she does not belong here.

but she always reminds herself to be grateful. she does her best to be a good sport. so when midoriya loses miserably to her in their weekend class tournament, seph doesn't let him fall from her mind as she battles kaminari — their toughest opponent since the beginning.

maybe it's the distraction that causes her to lose, or maybe kaminari's been practicing his counters. in any case, she's grateful for an out. they even skip tormenting bakugou by holding the controller out of reach before he can grab it, though they're sorely tempted. instead. they circle behind the couch and lean over its back, right beside midoriya's scrunched-up form. their hair's short today, the voidsmoke wisping off its ends and floating around her face as she tips her head to the side. ❝ ... you okay? sorry i got — kinda carried away. ❞

eyes widen as he turns to look at her, lips parted in surprise. she had been so quiet up until now, he almost fell out of his seat on the couch beside her. the others cheer around them, feeding off of persephone's energy. she was ethereal, brows furrowed in concentration, nose crinkled cutely as she smashed buttons like a madwoman.

"wow, midoriya, i can't believe you lost !" it's kaminari's voice that brings him back to what's happening and his gaze snaps back to the television where his character now lies dead on screen.

"ah. . ." he'd gotten so distracted by her that he'd forgotten they were playing a game. he feels his cheeks warm with blush and he awkwardly clears his throat, shoving the controller into the next person's hands. "aha, guess i need to practice more. that-- ahem -- that was a good game, aisa."

he sinks into the couch, trying to make himself invisible as he casts a sidelong glance her way. his heart rattles his ribcage and he's afraid someone will hear it. his gaze flickers over to jirou, but she's too busy cheering persephone on to kick kaminari's butt. he exhales, a hand to his chest. that. . . was a close one.

  honestly, he should’ve expected it with the way izuku trailed after the hero almost like he was a god.  vaguely recalled it being a big deal when the cards came out.  it was a promotion thing, a forgiveness event after some fight had gone wrong and people had started losing faith in heroes.  “well...you certainly kept it in mint condition.  you should consider taking it out just to get him to sign it, I’m sure he’d be thrilled.”

Shouto was silent as he reached for Izuku’s right hand. There was no way he could fix the damage done or take away the pain of that fateful day but now that he was allowed Shouto could at least attempt to show Izuku JUST HOW MUCH HE CARED.

Slowly- GENTLY- Shouto drew Izuku’s hand up to press scarred knuckles to his lips and leaving it there a moment as his eyes slipped shut and after a moment he would lower said scarred hand to clasp it between both of his own and just hold it.

❝ Saying I’ll make sure you’re never hurt is just RIDICULOUS and NAIVE given the world we’re trying to be a part of so I won’t bother but I can at least say I’ll always be sure to be there for you when you are. ❞
