A minor pet peeve of mine is when you search a tag and posts having nothing to do with that tag show up
The Clone Wars tag is saturated with TBB posts right now. And not even one’s doing parallels or analysis, like full posts that only have to do with TBB and nothing with TCW. I’m searching that tag for distraction and comfort, and instead I’m getting bombarded with the reason I was seeking distraction and comfort. It really irks me
#star wars#the bad batch#the clone wars#tag accordingly I’m begging you#this isn’t Twitter or Instagram where tags = more likes or whatever#tag are a filtering feature#one that lets people currate their experience#please for the love of god

Proshipper ≠ comshippers ≠ dark/problematicshipper
Even though it may seem silly, these labels do not mean the same thing! Each one has its meaning and use even though they sound "similar".
Proshipper:
A person who is "pro" (for) shipping in general. Typically refers to someone who follows the philosophy "ship and let ship" and ignore or blocks ships or shippers they are uncomfortable with. An anti-censorship stance that promotes currating your own experience online, and avoiding any content you don't want to interact with, while supporting the rights of others to create and consume any type of fiction they enjoy.
Your basic "idea" would be:
don't like, don't look
don't harass people, especially over fiction
ship and let ship
curate your own internet experience
tag your stuff and blacklist stuff
mind your own business and i'll mind mine
dead dove, don't eat
Comshippers - Comship
A ComShipper is someone who enjoys more complicated or complex ships. These can include "dead dove" content, morally gray, problematic, socially unacceptable, abusive, or toxic dynamics. Comshippers do not endorse these things in the real world, but enjoy them in fiction.
Most comshippers are proshippers, but MOST proshippers are not comship.
Small examples:
Employee x boss
Human x non-human
Age difference but both older
Minor x minor
Non-human x non-human
Selfship
Selfcent
(and much more)
Darkship - Darkshipper
Darkship (also known as problematic ship) is a subcategory of Comship, which covers all types of ships that are considered illegal or immoral.
Small examples:
Minor x adult
Adolescent x adult
Minor x adolescent
Victim x perpetrator
Killer x victim
Animal x human
Family x family
dead x alive
(These are some examples)
(I suffered doing this, there are many pages that give so many different versions)

I secretly think you probably have one of the healthiest approachs to fandom out of like anyone i follow 🤔
Ohh, i like this XD
It did take me a long time and two sort of failed fandom’s to finally find an approach that worked for me and allowed me to enjoy my fabdom experience without letting people get to me.
I left the Marvel fandom because of the toxicity
And while Star Trek fandom isn’t nearly as bad i was forced to remind myself that ‘this ship isn’t my cup of tea’ just means ‘scroll really really fast’ becuase the ship i didn’t like is legit the most popular ship in that fabdom (so i’d be feeling like someone who dislikes SNS in the Naruto fandom)
Those experiences really helped me find my place in fandom and realize that it’s ok to block what i don’t want to see and currate my experience. Of course i don’t expect everyone to agree with what i say, but i can put down a line and demand respect for myself while giving respect to those who may disagree with me. It’s why i never resort to insults and belitting those who argue with me
It’s not worth it. I’m here for a good time. If i want to ve stressed i’ll just add more courses to my school work load XD

Okay I keep seeing this argument and I would love for an actual Greek to come and explain this - every so often on here I see an anon that will claim that Hades (in myth) is an actual rapist - and idk if people are just confusing the statue title of "the rape of Persephone" - which as we know in this particular context does not mean rape (it means kidnapping) and taking it to mean literal rape, but again, I know most of the Greek pantheon (yes even Dionysis) are rapists in some context or another (most notably Zeus) but I would love to see someone of the actual current culture who worships said deities to explain this as I feel like more often than not, people are getting LO Hades and LO Persephone mixed up with Actual Myth versions without doing, idk, actual background checks / getting info from a reliable source that isnt, say, the first few paragraphs of Wikipedia. And or are just letting their anger of LO bleed through over to the actual myth versions that some Greeks do still worship to this day.
I just feel like some anons on here are getting a little too disrespectful of another's culture without ya know, bothering to do more than 5 seconds of research to see if their anger/out bursts match the canon myths.
Now granted myth versions of deities are not perfect (their gods after all) and this does not excuse those types of reprehensible behavior (such as rape), however, I feel like because people are so angry at LO and RS versions / depiction of the deities as characters that suddenly its somehow become okay to mock and or hate on another persons culture - at least on tumblr or something? And its not.
Be angry at RS all you guys want, but I'd just like to once again remind people to please try and seperate your hatred for RS and LO from actual Greek culture and deities - cause some anons seem to be leaning heavily (and a little too eagerly for my taste) into hating on another culture that you guys seem to only consume through various 3rd party sources (like Tumblr).
And yes, before any of you say anything about "just don't go on this blog / dont like? Dont read" I'd like to point out that yes the internet is a currated experience tailored to one's own enjoyment or lack thereof, but also the internet is a free space and I'm just here for some takes on LO criticism - not hating on another persons culture which seems to slowly becoming the norm apparently (which also unfortunately seem to go hand and hand these days).
Thanks,
-Anon

I'm friends and mutuals with some of my writing partners on my main/personal blog, and to not clutter the rp dash or try to tame the obvious 'favoritism' and excitement we have about our dynamics, we tag and shared head canons on our personals. Stuff I wasn't quite sure about but wanted to work out, like headcanons that were either very basic or unfinished, I'd share on my personal and tag my friend. This is all explaining how my excitement and having fun rping intrigued another friend. At first, I was like awesome yay! Another friend and writing partner!
But what could have been a fun shared hobby turned sour fast.
See, I've been rping since I was 16. I've been more than once around the block. I've learned via others and just pure experience about how it goes. I've put in the work to find partners and have had a variety of results. I know what it's like to pick up a variety of muses, canon and oc, and I know that a key is patience...it's one of the hardest things because you do want that immediate fun, but clicking with other writers isn't always so easy.
When they started, they also joined in the fandom that has been my obsession for the last couple of years. The fanbase, like in a lot of cases, and easily differ from totally amazing people to....really toxic people who just love to yell.
Another thing about the rpc other than having patience and doing some of the work, if that you kind of HAVE to currate your internet experience if you want to enjoy yourself. They....did not. They easily ran into canon purist. They seemed to almost be stalking my blog. Commenting on nearly every thread, every ask I got. Every person I interacted with they would follow and try to interact with. Which I wasn't opposed to if it read more as them being a roleplayer and seeking out other rpers of this fandom but they came out more as me sort of being their guide and therefore responsible for their experience. Which they got fed up quickly because the ship dynamics for them didn't happen how they wanted or how they saw me have. They would bug me constantly and daily about replying or when I was thinking of replying, and if that wasn't enough of reason that made me not want to reply, when I did reply they couldn't let go of a typo. They knew what I meant, they would drop into my inbox telling me 'if I wanted to fix it' but really meant, go fix it so I can reply. If I moved the thread too fast, in my in box about how we haven't planned that far ahead. I felt like I was being graded. Both characters we played go through a lot in canon. Mine was an obvious favorite of he writers so his things were more explored, so I work hard of having a balance of mentioning my muse's issues without making him seem like a downer and keep other people interested in rping with me and my muse. I love the other character and would have loved to explore things that canon didn't seem to give two shits about if it wasn't important to 'the plot' but when it feels like they're constantly making their muse the victim and taking out their hate for the writer's decision on my muse where all the threads are just angst and guilt....is it any surprise I took a break from that muse? And apparently with me taking a break, no one else wants to rp with them? They claimed to love rping but if I wasn't there to offer choices of other rp partners they can't find other people?
They've quit but I always feel like they give me the stink eye whenever I share anything about rping or that fandom, which I had to work through for months to feel not guilty about loving. And now I hate being the person who introduced people to things because I feel like if they have a bad falling out it's my fault...even though I know that I'm not responsible for another adult's inability to currate their internet experience.

Stars fans are trying to be happy for our wins but we constantly have other fans saying that our entire team is dirty and the refs handed us the win and that the stars didn’t play well tonight so sorry a few of us are frustrated anon
Yes, this. Really for me personally, I'm just trying to enjoy hockey being back. I'm not actively seeking out avs blogs to shit on them. I'm not going in their tag to start drama. None of the people I know here do that. I won't lose any sleep if anyone unfollows me or blocks me, that's everyone's right. No one has to look at stuff they don't like or makes them mad. Everyone currates their own tumblr/internet experience. Let's just all stay in our lane and chill.
And I want to add. There's different styles of play. Dallas knows how to throw their bodies around and how to hit but that does make them a dirty playing team. At first glance, you might think so. But we (stars fans) have watched enough stars hockey to know that. If anybody can't comprehend that there's different plays... I don't know what to do.

I’m sitting in a bar celebrating Jess’s birthday. And like a very good millennial I am on my phone. I’m having a very good time. I’m really glad I got a nap this afternoon because man between last night and today. I was very exhausted. When I got into the port authority last night Jess told me to look for a certain sign. And I couldn’t find it. So I ended up talking to a cop and he was like. That’s not here. That’s at Penn station. And I’m like shit. So Jess was a few blocks away. But that was okay. She found me fast enough. We decided on sushi and went to a very trendy place that was moderately priced and very tasty. It was just really nice being with Jess. We went back to her place and I got to meet her cat. I cut the cats nails for her and that went fine but then as I was putting her down she scratched me with her back legs really bad. It looks really narley and it hurts but I’m okay. Its slightly deep and I’ll keep an eye on it. Once we cleaned me up we got changed and headed out to a party. Took the subway over to this inclusive bar for this wlw party. And I had a blast. We got photo booth pictures. We got drinks and danced. There were strippers and I was in love with the one girl. I danced with a bunch of girls and ended up really dancing with one girl for most of the time. She lead and we danced to the Spanish music and I love dancing so it was fun. She tried to kiss me but I don’t kiss strangers except for new years. She respected that. I just had a blast though. We left around 2 and I was asleep by 4. A very long night. And it was great. We got up around 8 and were dressed and out of the house within the hour. Picked up some liquid bandage for me and got some bagels at this cute cafe. Then into Manhattan. We got my check sorted and then over to Chelsea market. Which was very very fun. We got there at a good time. Before lunch. We wandered around and shopped. I got a little ceramic fish. And a macaron. It was just a really neat place and Jess got a bunch of photos for our project. We ended up in this artist flea market part and it was the best. I almost stole a ring by accident bedside I tried it on and got distracted. Oops. Then we ended up at this vintage charm making place. Which I loved. I spent a little bit more then I should have probably but like. It was an experience and it’s Jess’s birthday. We picked a bunch of charms and laid them out and she let me edit them to the best 6 or 7. Currate the best order for them. And then we watched the girl build then. It was great. Love my new bracelet. I got an Aquarius charm, a j, an L that’s a locket,an opal, a seashell, and a floral and black heart. Jess got 2 state charms (pa and nyc), another j, a moon, a clam shell, a star, and a Saturn. Very cute. Very space. We got these funny digital photo booth pictures next, got to meet the artist that designed the interface, and then once we found some bathrooms we headed out to find the ice cream museum store. We had to wait in a bit of a line. But we were in the shade for the most part. And the sun was bright but could have been worse. And the guy in charge of the line was a sweetheart and was very funny. Once we got inside we got to try some ice creams and took lots of instagramable photos. I wanted this pinata plush but he was Very expensive And I did not need him. So just pictures and then we headed out. We attempted to get Mexican food but the people there we’re very rude so we left. Ended up at this diner type place that was very good. Got a salad and a sandwich and felt much better. We wandered around the farmers market for a bit. Then back on the subway to Brooklyn. She got a sound machine from a guy in the corner. Then we shopped around this fancy vintage store. It was fun. I was texting with James and taking pictures of things I want to get for people as gifts. But I was also very tired and my leg hurt. So soon enough we headed home. I got changed and we both slept for a while. We had had plans on going to dinner before her celebration. But we didn’t wake up until like 6 and we weren’t hungry so we just bummed around. Eventually we got dressed. I felt hella cute. I’m so glad I brought these shorts because this romper is just to short, it’s good for like the beach but it’s a lot of thigh for walking around the city. We took a cab over to the bar. Kat showed up and it’s so good to see her. The cake was so cute and tasted so good. Some more of jess’s people came. And we’re probably going to get food once we leave. I’ve been having just a wonderful day. Tomorrow is supposed to be wicked hot. But were doing a beach day. Maybe the aquarium. I’m really looking forward to it. I miss the ocean. Terribly. I’m going to rejoin the party now. I hope you all have a great night tonight. Be safe out there.

Ten Song Tag Game
I was tagged by @coffeewithconsequences !
Rules: list ten songs you’re currently obsessed with and tag ten others.
So, here is the thing. I can only obsess about one song at a time, and I play it on a loop for days and days. As I tell people, I cannot like anything a normal amount. Thus, I have currated a list with commentary because that is just how I roll.
1) A Better Son/Daughter by Rilo Kely
But you'll fight and you'll make it through
You’ll fake it if you have to
And you'll show up for work with a smile
And you'll be better and you'll be smarter
And more grown up and a better daughter
Or son, and a real good friend
This song is about Kent Parson’s rookie year in my series Sowing Season. Kent Parson is my Patronus, so this song is also about me.
Past obsessive songs (I’m excluding Bright Eyes, Fall Out Boy, and The Decemberists cause I cannot choose between any of their songs):
2) I am Trying to Break Your Heart by Wilco -- the layers in this song are amazing, as is the wordplay. “I am an American aquarium drinker, I assassin down the avenue.” Like, is there a better way to describe the post-breakup, drink-your-hurt-away sads than that? There is not.
3) Call Your Girlfriend by Robyn -- I watched Season 3 of the original Skam and nothing has ever been ok since. Plus, the video for this song is amazing.
4) Debaser by The Pixies (video has some graphic surgical like content)-- Don’t you love it when iconic alt-rock bands make a song that heavily incorporates a surrealist film co-created by Luis Buñel and Salvidor Dali? I do.
5) Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl by Broken Social Scene -- Michael Chabon’s ending paragraph in Mysteries of Pittsburgh, a book I reread almost yearly, is about what he calls “ruinous nostalgia.” So is this song, which will make you want to lay on the floor in the summer heat next to an oscillating fan that’s cooling your body in bursts.
6) Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyonce -- I’m not linking to this cause come on. When this dropped I was freshly single. My friends staged an intervention about how often I played this.
7) Run Dry (X fingers X hands) by Patrick Stump -- to me, this is a song where you see PStump’s unique approach to songs but still see a bit of the influence that the cleverness of Pete Wentz’s language had on him. Maybe? I think so.
8) The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah -- Look, my family came from Appalachia, and I now live in New York City, and there are two lines that are exactly me: “You look a bit like coffee, and you taste a bit like me” and “But let me tell you I never planned / To let go of the hand that has been / Clinging by its thick country skin.” This song is as autobiographic as anything from a mostly forgotten mid-2000′s band can be.
9) Boy Problems AND Cut to the Feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen -- Queen Carly Rae writes the best pop music that’s out today. Thank you, LGBT community for recognizing her brilliance.
10) Nights by Frank Ocean -- I mean, really the entirety of Blond/e. In the intro to Richard Siken’s Crush, it says that it’s a collection of poems about panic. For me, Blond/e is kind of a different side of that, the self-destructiveness of the queer experience tempered by beauty and moments of true clarity. Also, the mid-song shift into the second half of the album is amazing, and he mentions “only going to Shoney’s on occasion” and Shoney’s was my family’s jam in my childhood.
Gosh, that was fun.
Tagging @yoursummerfrost, @zombizombi , @muchandquick , @benjji2795 , @bazanite . Maybe you all will be better at not going off on questionable music analysis and autobiographic rants, but I would love it if you did.
#tag game#music#song recs#long post#well it's more a long-ish post#also my crush on carly rae jepsen is consuming

I play a lot of IDV. Maybe too much. I've started playing around late December around the Christmas event. It's a lot of fun and I like spending time with my friends. But I've avoiding real life responsibilities because of it and that's... bad to say the least. But oh well, I guess. In any case, I'm generally an easy going person but I kinda just don't get those kinds of people who are so rude and mean to the hunters or to other survivors. Fuck it. I'm over 18, I'm just going to currate my own experience and just ignore those people and clown on those who get what they deserve. Half joking.
On the topic of clowning, one time, in duos, a First Officer was emoting in gate and every one had left and then the Game Keeper hooks him and downs him, making us either tie or lose. I think we lost. In any case, immediately in post-match I said that he deserved that. Is that toxic? Maybe. But so is emoting in gate, so tbh, I don't think it was. If you're going to be rude by what the community has generally agreed upon as to what is rude, then be ready to be called out on it and face your consequences which is to say: being clowned on.
I really, REALLY, don't want to be "toxic" (my opinion of the idv community overusing the word is another topic entirely). And I don't think I am. I don't Thank You ping and I don't freak out on my fellow soloqueue teammates if we lose QM or rank. But sometimes they really rub me the wrong way. I'm just playing this game to have fun and have something to do and they choose to be mean? They choose to be salty and let it bother them enough to be rude? In the grand scheme of things, will this matter when they're dead? Maybe. But more likely no. I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm an adult and not some idk... Adolescent. But I'm not even that old. But idk man, paying bills and tuition changes you lmao
