So one piece characters are all insanely tall as adults, but like...
The children. They are inhumanely small. Luffy was fucking 3 feet at 7 years old. Toddlers are 3 feet tall. Ace and Sabo as well. And you got Boa Marigold and Sandersonia who were normal sizes as young teens are both 5-6 meters tall as adults. Cora and Mingo were also 3 feet tall as 8-10 year olds.
Istg in the op universe, you are born bean sized, become normal at around 11, and 80% of the times reach the Burj Khalifa by the time you are 18.

Reading One Piece pt 319: Garp Where’s Your Healthy Dose Of Nepotism
Chapter 567
Thoughts:
- fruit hats :)
- “DESTROY NAVY HEADQUARTERS!” jeez, we hear you, no need to yell
- Whitebeard vs Aokiji, Aokiji has no chance :)
- “He stabbed him with pure haki!” AOKIJI!? D:
- eh, he’ll be ok
- Luffy vs Momonga
- oh no, he’s actually getting his butt kicked :(
- Kizaru!
- “Guts alone aren’t enough, Straw Hat Luffy. It takes more than effort alone to save someone. You’ve got to have power.” >:(
- Kizaru kicked him right into Whitebeard
- “Ace…” :( it’s sad to look at
- “There he is! Jimbei, over there!” damn it, Ivankov and Jimbei really decided to parent Luffy in this battle
- “SEE!? I told you it would happen!” big head :D no but Ivankov really look like a scolding mom to me
- “He’s done more than his share. Have him patched up.” And just like that, Luffy woke up all energized
- “I’m fine! I don’t have time for that! Get outta my way! Ace is… Ace is… the only brother I have in the entire world!!” awwww
- it’s not like they’re holding you, calm down
- aaaand he fell :( he’s really out I think
- “Luffy! Hey! Someone get a doctor!” Jimbei :)
- “You’re nothing but a mass of spirit! All you can do is talk big! Pathetic young fool!” EXCUSE ME
- “I love idiots like you” oh, ok. Me too
- now it’s Whitebeard vs Akainu
- more fighting than ever
- “We’re coming… Ace.” “WHAM” THE HELL GARP, WHY YOU WHAMMING MARCO
- “Who gave you the order to move out?” “It’s the legend of the Navy!” “Old man…” …goddammit, I knew Garp wouldn’t help but it doesn’t make it ok
- “If you want to get past me, it’ll be over my dead body! You brats!!!” :(
I never thought I would be longing for nepotism but here we are.

Finally got my darling Dobie done by my sweet friend Dantes! I am so stoked about this piece!
Viktor Richter
Species: blue and tan doberman
Age: 35
Heigth: 6'2"
Description: Broad shouldered. Well muscled. Althletic. A ridge of white hair on his head between his ears, it falls into his eyes a little. Two diffrent colored eyes. One a golden brown, the other an ice blue. Several long scars cover his snout. One of his ears is tattered and has a hole blown through it from a bullet wound. Under his clothes, he has several nasty scars from knife wounds when a close combat fight went south.
Bio: Viktors family migrated from Germany in the early part of the ninteen hundreds. He was born on July 17, 1911, in brooklyn heigths. Orphaned as a young child of about 8 when he lost his parents to a robbery gone bad. They were killed infront of him. He then lived with his aunt. Frequently ran away in persuit of the killer. Eventually his luck and attempts at tracking paid off, he found him when he was 17. Shooting him dead in an alley with his fathers pistol.
The police caught him and took him in. He explained what happened to them and the cheif instead took intrest.
Putting him on a sort of "probation" period, he had him apprentice to a lead detective at the time. An old grouchy tiger named Grey.
Learning from him, he developed his skills quickly. Becoming a detectective at the early age of 21. Having worked for the police force for several years before he was drafted early for his knowledge of the german language in 1940.
There he trained and became an Airborn ranger. Held in high reguard for his lack of fear and great command of those around him, he was promoted to Captain of his unit. Though on June 6, 1944, thing didnt go as planned. His unit deployed ahead of the invasion of Normandy, in the early morning. Their plane was shot down and they had to jump anywhere.
Many of his men were killed in the air or became scattered in the night. He landed in a small village town ahead of the beaches in Saint-Côme-de-Fresné.
The town was a nazi staging point, and he was lucky enough to land in an isolated field, landing hard however. Cutting his parachute away he staggered to find a place to hide. He was shot in the side by a stray bullet. Clutching it, he hid in a barn to treat it. All the while taking note of the soldiers that were suddenly alerted to the empty parachute in the field.
He hid well, for a few hours. The sun was slowly begining to turn the sky blue. Getting his wound stable and his energy back, he slipped out with nothing more then his knife in hand. Despite his wound he still had a mission to do. And he did it. Taking out the soldiers one by one in the village, well into the next day. He had them spooked and confused as their numbers dwindled and he was no where to be seen.
From a church bell tower, he eventually saw the ships along the ocean. Though his wound was only getting worse from his strain through the day of clearing the village.
He eventually wondered out, of the village, trying to search for his unit, or any others that made it out. Eventually finding his way into a small forest, his luck turned his way as usual. He came across a medical unit that was shot down. Several of the combat medics and one of the nurses were there. Falling in line with them they treated him back onto his feet while they waited for the army to make it past the beach.
When the army eventually made it through the beaches. Viktor lead the medics through a few small villages. Taking more germans down as they went. Eventually making it back to the bulk of the main army with trial and blood.
He served out the rest of his career untill the war came to a close. Shiping back to New York, he was suprised that he was being shipped back with one of the very nurses that he helped through the war field. A young beautiful cow with a fiery additude and a terrifying dead eye shot.
Overseas he took up his chain smoking habit to help him calm and cope with his anxiety.
He used to enjoy baseball back home, listening to the radio he always had a few shows he loved to listen to.
A simple cup of coffee and the paper were relaxing moments to him. That turned into a cup of whiskey at night to silence his mind to let him sleep.
He also picked up a love for comics that just started to be released as well, at the begining of the war.

The very first pictures by the stencil
To start, I decided to use basic geometric shapes (rectangles so far) to build the pictures from. Each rectangle has 9 attributes: X and Y coordinates (on a 100x100 matrix), height, width, angle and hue, saturation, brightness and opacity for color.
At this point, Stencil is basically a random generator with manually adjustable min and max values to optimize the attributes. The program is also capable of visualizing the results in .svg files.
I’m not sure if it counts as an ‘Artificial Intelligence’ yet, but it’s more than enough to start with. Random has an important role in almost all abstract art, but controlling it properly is essential. Consequent and conscious selection means taste and style. Teaching these skills to the AI is one of the main goals of this project.
Here’s a compilation of pictures created with 10 rectangles on default settings. (x: 1-100; y: 1-100; heigth: 1-100; width: 1-100; angle: 1-360; hue: 1-360; brightness: 0-100; saturation: 0-100; opacity: 0-100)
(Pictures were selected selected out of ~500)
def_01
def_02
def_03
def_04
These pieces show a consequent style, but the next step should be playing around with the values manually, to see, how changing them can affect the pictures radically and result in whole dirrefent styles.
(x: 1-100; y: 1-100; heigth: 40-200; width: 5-10; angle: 0-0; hue: 1-360; brightness: 0-100; saturation: 0-0; opacity: 0-100)
But the real goal is to make the AI (based on human feedbacks) learn basic interralations between values, to optimize attributions and algorythms by itself.
For a simple example: the bigger the rectangle is, the smaller the opacity should be. (To avoid too large surfaces covering the picture.) Color harmonies are also easy to express by mathematical phrases by limiting the hue scale to certain sections. Composition is an extremely important and complicated factor, even in this abstract, geometrical situation. I wonder how the computer will try to draw up ‘rules’ according to different human feedbacks.
We are figuring out how the feedback platform should be built, so everybody can get involved in teaching the neural network.

Arrow 5x20 “Underneath” - After thoughts
Main thought
Olicity (all around Olicity)
It was a heart wrenching episode.
For a while Flashbacks gave pause to the tightness in my heart but as soon as the sex was over and we jump to the serious talk the wrench pulled so hard I almost crumbled.
We knew it was going to be hard. Olicity is in a hard spot and it won’t miraculously rise in a pain free way.
I was ready. Must say I was not very surprised when it came to the why Olicity broke up in Season 4; trust was the issue, the motive. Not William, I dare say Felicity is happy William has a dad and a mom that care about him, it was the way Oliver didn’t trust her. She loves Oliver so much that settling for less than a relationship where full trust exists is not an option.
(GIFs credit @felicitys )
The Flasback’s were what I expected and much of what I didn’t want to watch. Drunken sex, my bad reaction to it was somewhat “erased” by the love I felt existed for real. The Flashbacks end with Felicity giving hope to Oliver that maybe someday she could be ready for them to talk about their break up and Oliver getting his hopes up about coming back together.
(GIFs credit @amanitacaplan )
This scene broke me to pieces. I knew it was going to happen. I knew it had to be something like this happening in 4.5 for us to get Oliver and Felicity behaving like they did in 5x01 but I admit that, sex scene aside (that was... WOW), Flashbacks were as painful to watch as present time with the smiles ending up on an even deeper Olicity break up.
I find a bit of solice in knowing that both me and the characters know things are bad (maybe it’s just me...) and if that wasn’t the case in the Flashbacks (with Oliver all hopeful) it was the case on present time.
Felicity’s chip isn’t working. I was a bit emotional about Felicity down playing it to Oliver while the imeadiate threat was Chase, just as much as I was emotional about Oliver’s concern when Felicity told him.
Oliver understanding of Prometheus game play is growing and Chase isn’t ten steps ahead anymore. Granted he’s still ahead but not 10 steps, Oliver knew exactly what Chase was planning to do outside and why he had trapped Oliver and Felicity inside the bunker... he was getting William.
The urgency of getting out sends Oliver on another Lone Ranger like mission. Not even considering what Felicity is proposing he tries to get out trough the elevator shaft.
He falls and gets badly hurt. How badly we only get to see later on, but right from the start we could tell it’s bad.
I personaly don’t like to hear “I told you so” after something goes wrong. Felicity telling it to Oliver once I would have deal with but she kept repeating it. I can only read this as a tell tale sign of how upset she is, how frustrated that her words to Oliver seem to be crushing into a brick wall. This is as bad as Olicity could get.
Oliver is in pain in more ways than one. He sees Felicity’s poin,t if there’s another way he will follow. It’s said this is the first time he follows Felicity’s advice (and needs), that is simply not true.
Maybe I’m being harsh on the show but Oliver did listened to Felicity before; he did follow her advice and wishes before, somewhere along the line the Show “forgot” that. Oliver is no saint, he’s anything but, but he’s no devil neither. I know I’m probably stating something unpopular but I love Oliver and I didn’t like that Felicity accepted Oliver statement that it was the first time he followed her advice because it’s not true.
Felicity’s plan is brilliant but it backfires and they are in a worse situation than before with poisoness gas filling the bunker. Not only is air already scarce now it’s turning into poison.
Felicity manages to balance the explosive arrow enough to blast the access to the vapor drain (not sure that was the name...) without blowing the bunker up and Oliver manages to get the arrow exactly where it was needed, an act we appreciate even more when we consider that he’s seriously injured and just inhaled alot of gas while trying to stop the leak. Further more he carries Felicity down a two floors heigth before he colapses. The man is a hero and amazes me week after week.
Desperation hits Felicity like the all world just colapsed on her. Oliver is her rock he always has been, the rock is crumbling and she’s unable to stop it just as much as she’s unable to accept it the possibility that he’s dying.
The talk time is finaly arriving, at least the first part of it. More than sex scenes from the past that’s what I was waiting for.
Oliver confides in Felicity and she finaly understands how bad things, how broken Oliver is.
(GIFs credit to gothsmoak )
Oliver trusts her, he always did he just doesn’t trust himself because he’s a Monster in his mind, he always was. He’s no hero he’s a killer that kills for pleasure, Chase made him face that truth about himself. He not only doesn’t trust himself he lost himself, he doesn’t know what kind of man he is.
Felicity knows what kind of man Oliver is. He’s the man that she loves, the man she wanted to marry, she knows exactly what kind of men he is. Personal Translation: He’s no monster; he’s a killer because 5 years in Hell made him be out of necessity; she’s light, she’s Felicity, she would never feel about Oliver the love she does if he was what he thinks he is.
(GIFs credit to gothsmoak )
ANd then the Sphere blasts trough the wall...
The rescueing mission is on the way but Oliver and Felicity are not out of the woods yet something about the generator coming back on and the electricity igniting the gas in the bunker. That is definitly life threatning.
Oliver is getting incresingly worse. He tries to get to safety, carrying Felicity, but Felicity makes him stop, he can’t go further he’s bleeding, he has been losing blood for a while now. And Oliver just colapses.
But they are both dead if they stay. There’s no one coming for them, they have to get out and without the use of her legs Felicity is powerless to move and take Oliver (I do think she would try if she was walking)
It pained me to watch the adrenaline shot to his heart. I get why they need to do it but... this is a man that takes just about all physical pain or an injury without so much as a complain and now he colapsed, not once but twice, so this is a seriously live threating injury, making him go beyond his limit (and his limit is high) was so painful to watch.
But he does it. With Diggle’s help he does it. And he refuses to let go of Felicity even when his life is on the line and letting her go, like she’s asking, will save him.
(GIFs credit @felicitys )
The willing to sacrifice themselves for the other to survive never ceases to amaze me.
The Hospital scene was the outcome that fitted with all the hints we have been getting.
Felicity understands Oliver better now. I don’t care what the writers wrote and Felicity said IMO she understands Oliver better because he finaly openned up to her, yes her involvement with Helix and the fact she set a criminal free to get Chase Oliver’s style also gives her another level of understanding of Oliver. But to me the talk was key. Felicity finaly knows what has been lurking inside Oliver since forever, what has made him keep everyone at bay, he doesn’t trust himself.
(GIFs credit @felicitys ) Note: amazing work.
Oliver is in pain, the pain of a man that stands bare, stripped down of all barriers, all secrets, in front of the woman he loves. There’s nothing more Felicity doesn’t know, and she’s still there, with him, by his side.
This is my OTP. This is an real unshinkable ship.
The most simple gesture and I knew Olicity was back
The hand holding. It’s impressive that with all the wonderful sex scene this is the scene that makes me most happy, but it is because it shows me the future.
Random thoughts:
- Dyla paralleled Olicity perfectly this episode. Word for word...Note: a lot of Ctrl-C Ctrl-V use on the Writers room.
Lyla is Oliver in Dyla but this time she was in Felicity position. Pointing out to Diggle that Team Arrow and ARGUS are not perfect they both have sins, they both cross the line.Diggle aknowledges this and I do think Dyla is going to be fine.
- ARGUS has Curtis T-spheres and even managed to make them better
- The “kids” are getting funnier by the minute
- Olicity Sex was a good scene. But it was the past not much relevant going forward hence I didn’t foccused much on it but, for science,so I’ll leave you with it
