The OC: "A mermaid who sacrificed her life under the sea by consuming a Devil Fruit to save her beloved, only to be betrayed by him and sold into captivity. She eventually escaped, and, driven by overwhelming desire for revenge, she hunted him down and killed him. Seasons: A date in spring time, holding hands and sharing a cup of tea in fall, a snowball fight in winter, or a pool party in summer, let’s see something seasonal!

A New Relationship: A first date, a first kiss, when they’re in the honeymoon phase, a first meeting where someone is struck by cupid’s bow. An early look at two people together, and the start of their love.

Colors: Maybe it’s a monochrome piece, or black and white with a single color. Maybe it’s about how the color of her eyes or her hair are so beautiful, or how the world seems brighter and more beautiful that they’ve met. Maybe it’s about how the memory of her colors day to day tasks, even now. Literal or metaphorical, let’s see some color.

Music: Two characters singing or playing instruments. A band AU, or a songfic. A first dance, or a playlist, or using a Disney song for a new ship, use music to inspire and shape a piece!

Fancharacters (OC’s): Whether it’s an OC who you ship with a character, or an fancharacter family for your ship, let’s see an a work that incorporates an OC.

Marriage: Ring out the wedding bells and get ready to cut the cake. Planning a wedding, an arranged marriage, a big bells and whistles affair, or a runaway bride. Your ship in their wedding best, a secret elopement, or a piece about your ship being happily married. What does marriage inspire?

AU: Now, practically all Disney femslash ships are AUs, but let’s see something more than X meets Y. Are they assassins? Superheroes? Is this an AU where people have wings, or are taking the roles in your favorite romcom?

Style Swap: Wearing each other’s threads, or swapped into a different style entirely. Maybe we’ll see Jane Porter in the captain’s uniform and Amelia the dress, or Tiana and Charlotte in avantgarde fashion. Maybe swap your ships into an art style, like art deco, or early rubber hose animation.

Adventure: Sometimes you fall in love right at home, at a dance, or in the neighborhood, but not this time. The clock is ticking, the sails are set and we have no time to rest. High seas, high stakes, your ship meets on or undertakes an adventure together.

Gifts: A birthday gift, an anniversary gift, or a just because gift? Tiana is a gifted cook making something, Ariel is a gifted singer, Merida is a gifted archer. The Madrigals have their gifts, and use them to impress someone. 

Angst: Is it unrequited love, a tragic end, or a bittersweet goodbye? Maybe it’s starcrossed love never to be, or true love cut short by fate, but no matter what there is at least a tinge of sadness at the end.

Happily Ever After: They finally get together, triumph, or spit out how they feel. Do they defeat the dragon, the sorcerer, they move in together, run a business, adopt a dog, or grow old? What’s the happily ever after?

Why does Reginald have like white hair with gold parts in it in some of your deviant art pieces? At least i think that’s Reginald. Though maybe this is spoilers

OKAY SO BASICALLY way way before I made Reginald I had made a Hatoful Boyfriend fancharacter that I forgot about(if you don't know that's the dating sim about pigeons). And when I saw a drawing of him again I realized he actually looked a lot like Reginald (had a big cowlick, long hair, glasses) so I kinda had a little phase of drawing them as if they were the same character. I did consider trying to incorporate it into a lore thing at one point waaaaaay before I started making games but none of that stuff's canon anymore.

12 YEAR OLD OCS; SIDE A

So, I made Twila as a kid when I first started getting into spritework on the original Pokéfarm forums (PF1, for those familiar with the sites), as a basic recolor of Espeon with Umbreon's palette, and because I was a big Orre fan she just sort of. Stuck around? She at one time had a whole plot revolving around Shadow Pokémon and all, but these days she's just sort of drifted off and become her own standalone Pokémon fancharacter. I still have her and draw her occasionally, including having used a PMD-based portrait piece of her has my avatar here and there, and she remains my oldest OC to this day.

She's gone through her fair share of revamps, one to add in Umbreon's markings to give her a bit more going on design-wise, and one swapping her palette to Umbreon's shiny colors for character reasons - She was always intended to be an Eevee who evolved as the sun set, taking on the general shape of an Espeon but with the coloration of an Umbreon, who ended up being shunned and cast out for it, and I eventually opted to make her a shiny one to really highlight the contrast of her life as this ~special rare precious shiny Eevee~ with where she ended up. I don't really remember much of its original iteration any more, but what little exists of the actual plot of her story these days has formed around themes of the process of finding a place and people that accept her as she is now, rather than the ones who simply saw her as a sort of trophy in her youth, and recovering from the trauma of her rejection and exile and the ways it's impacted her as a person, which, if I were to properly flesh it out again, would likely tie into Shadow Pokémon and the process of purification being not unlike that of recovering from trauma in general.

Anyway, all that said, Twila! My oldest surviving OC. I think she deserves a prize just for the fact that she's still around and relatively intact, at least on a conceptual level.

Tl;dr: I own the design but it's fine I don't care

The design technically belongs to me due to how copyright law works. My sponsored illustrations are a little different from a design commission as well. I consider a design commission guided heavily by the client, requiring a lot of stop-and-start to customize exactly to their vision, and which carries a steeper price tag due to time required for that involvement. A sponsored commission on the other hand is usually standard commission price and though I'm given a loose prompt/idea, it is mostly up to me and thus has a large portion of myself and my design instincts in it. Unless rights to the design/piece is bought the art and design is legally mine and my TOS should mention that I retain the right to do as I wish with it. Whenever I have another free moment I'll look at my TOS and update it with this info just to make sure this info is easier to access from the start.

Regardless, I'm okay if a past client commissions a different artist for more art of a sponsored commission I did. I give my clients a sort of grace and slightly increased control over art I make for them. They're automatically allowed to post their piece places and use it as icons and stuff like that. The only time I rescind this privilege is when a client is particularly abusive in some manner, which hasn't happened yet.

Marginally related, I have considered having some of the sponsored designs I've done show up in widderwood comic, though as background characters. I think if I wanted to use a specific design and develop it into a proper character I'd let the client that prompted it know, though.

How I depict and draw Widderwood fae designs is extremely personal to me so don't ever expect me to sell them. Fancharacters are also ? for me because of the personal aspect and having bad experiences in the past, but I know I can't technically stop anyone from it.

And marginally-marginially related though I am protective of my art and designs, I plan to let all Widderwood related things and my fairy art enter public domain immediately upon my legal death instead of the usual 70 year post-death copyright release wait.

tbh I never really talk about original characters (not the fancharacters) I have here, but I have plans to make a blog relating to them and this whole entire world i have !! but hi anyways redraw commentary i was going to do more here? but then i got sick with something and my ive been wanting to gag my throat out like what the fuck first piece (left) has my pretty pfp dragon lady and the character everyone likes, somehow?? Their names are Akemi and Erisa and I LOVE them. Only reason purple-haired gal (Eclipse) didn't make it over is because she and Erisa have more of a mother-daughter bond, and that pose just seems weird for what they have. Plus at least Erisa and Akemi have some kind of (healthy) romance in my story. But.. Erisa ends up single in the end due to different life paths sighs!! (She COULD be mine at least) Erisa's outfit feels like its almost the same as her original (mainly because of her hat, reference down below) but man she feels bald without one It's ironic how similar my Akemi is to Blue Eyed Samurai's Akemi?? (its more story related than design... but im putting her splashart below always because she's pretty and im in love) The whole aloof royalty shebang.. wanting to get away from oppressing parents.. I was kinda bummed abt it at first but I just giggle abt it now like omg they're twins how fun Second piece just pretty much stayed what it was initially, back then I had alot of trouble with Eclipse's design (especially that w/ that hair) but cats were always so much fun for me to draw back then!! But my fur rendering was ass too :( she still remained the traumafilled werewolf lady she was back then, just a big ass change in her story (i dont wanna spoil it rn ugh)
