I like to think both Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron both personally interviewed all of FOWL’s key members together. And during the hiring process they both approved each members for different reasons

Buzzard: How said person would be beneficial to FOWL’s evil goal for world domination

Heron: Said person’s evil aesthetic and their villainous qualities

Bradford: Well Ms. Dee, all though your methods are quite unorthodox, you do get results and your work speaks for itself. Now if we were to contact one of your previous employers such as…{glances at resume} Mark Beaks, would he speak as positively about you?

Gandra: Oh…yeah, probably not. I did do the job he asked me to do, but at the last minute I sorta betrayed him for my own personal gain

Black Heron: Oooh! How delightfully villainous!

Bradford: Heron, please. And what exactly was this job?

Gandra: I had to seduce one of McDuck’s scientists and trick him into saying a passcode for Mark Beaks.

Black Heron: {writes down in her notes “evil scientist, spy, wears black, temptress, love it!”} I see…

Bradford: And this employee you had to “seduce”, you’re not still in contact with him, correct?

Gandra: Whaaaat? Of course not. I dumped his ass right after I betrayed Mark Beaks.

Black Heron: OH THAT IS COLD!! SHE IS IN!!

Bradford: I still have other questions to a-

Black Heron: {grabs Gandra’s hand and shakes it} Oh you do NOT know how happy I am to finally have another villainess on our team and one that’s a spy no less! It’s a real sausage fest in the inner circle!

tgcf chapters 107 - 120 this is one where i give some Opinions. i do overall like hualian a lot but i have some quibbles

It really was hard to tell whether people would feel happy after watching such performances. However, in truth, slaughter and the sight of blood did create excitement in people. Whether or not there was fear, after the initial shock was over, a rush of adrenaline would be produced in the heart- me watching horror movies

On the side, Hua Cheng was still only observing, and was already bored to the point where he’d changed back into his red robes. Then he changed to black robes again. Then to white robes. Almost every time Xie Lian looked back, he would be donning a different appearance, and with every new look there were different hairstyles, and different accessories, and different boots, and so on; sometimes playful, sometimes elegant, sometimes deadly, sometimes glamourous. Xie Lian was growing dizzy from all the colours and kept looking back, unable to look away. - THIS ISNT THE TIME HUA CHENG. YOURE PRIMPING. THE WINDMASTER HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED AND YOURE PRIMPING

jailbreak in the heavens 2: dig a tunnel

Sure enough, the moment Ming Yi put pressure on his shovel, a hole opened up before them. With the shovel raised, he burrowed crazily ahead while Shi Qingxuan, in the middle, cheered him on crazily. As the only non-crazy person, Xie Lian brought up the rear. That treasured shovel of the Earth Master was indeed magical, and with only a few strokes, a new tunnel of over ten meters was dug. - anybody remember mulch diggums from the artemis fowl series? this is much more dignified than that but i think this is only the second time ive read a character just starting digging a tunnel as a plot point

okay so much is going on i wish i hadnt spoiled who certain characters actually are for myself but i have no one to blame but me for a) not blacklisting spoilers at all and b) just having a little freefall through the tags. oh well. anyway heavenly college admissions scandal except way worse. the corruption extends to the heavens and the windmaster is having a very bad day

im gonna keep it real im getting tired of how often we get told how handsome hua cheng is. i know its all xie lian’s pov and while im not terribly familiar with it i know what genre we’re working with and im assuming thats pretty typical. its something i dont much care for in general and idk maybe it sounds better in the original but ngl its starting to make me roll my eyes. love you goth king but god okay we get it.

i guess what i will say about hualian so far is that overall i like them and i like how they interact in general they have a lot of nice moments and they just genuinely seem to like each other which is really nice to see EXCEPT for when it actually comes to things that could be romantic or sexual which is a shame bc i dont think it has to be like this. again disclaimer that im only reading a translation and dont know everything might not have all the knowledge necessary to accurately criticize etc etc and im assuming a lot of this is expected from the genre (disclaimer to this disclaimer that i cant say that for sure its just based on things ive picked up about the bl genre over the years) but idk like xie lian was so distressed after their underwater kiss scene. it was kind of uncomfortable to read and maybe im being unfair i know his cultivation is based around abstinence or whatever but idk i dont care for it. and that scene alone doesnt have to be a bad thing like idk i guess its his first kiss ever (?) and it would make sense if he feels weird about it but i just have my doubts thats going to be addressed or resolved in a satisfying way. also im like. dude everyone is like centuries old. xie lian’s been on earth for 800 years. has he really never met or heard of a gay person during all this time? maybe he hasnt idk what he got up to yet maybe that’s actually a thing. also same thing with the reactions from the immortals to xie lian in a dress and characters like the windmaster like again you’re all centuries old and its not uncommon to be able to just completely change gender presentation. why are you all weird about a man wearing a woman’s dress? i just feel like that shouldnt be a big deal to these characters idk

also again not going to lie part of this that im not really a big fan of reading romance in general. yes i am reading this book. yes i do read and write a lot of fanfic that includes or centers romance. im multifaceted. but really what im talking about is the like physical side of it and descriptions im extremely picky about it. ill give an example. early on in the torture pit (or whatever it was called i cant remember lol) when xie lian kind of accidentally felt up hua cheng in the dark when he was being carried. i dont think thats a bad thing to have happen between the two romantic leads i think thats fine and good to include that early but i just did not enjoy reading it when it happened idk maybe it was the wording and i do think that moments like these work better in a visual medium. ive definitely read het romance that reads like this and i wasnt a fan of that either lol same with fanfic i get tired when writers go on and on about how hot one characters finds another character. this isnt a huge criticism of it like i said im picky but again like with the way that hua cheng is described it just makes me roll my eyes sorry kings

okay back to the reading. this whole saving the fishermen thing feels like a big set up for something narrative-wise. hua cheng specifically insisted on coming and i know one of the characters involved ends up dying im wondering if thats now it would be a good time tbh if things get just a bit too unfortunate during this heavenly calamity... and the brothers are notably not having a harmonious time... also tho it feels very likely we’ll just have another Hualian Moment (tm)

In the evening, when they rescued a few fishermen girls, so scared their eyes were blurry from tears, he held them in his embrace and soothed them with a gentle voice; a true show of honeyed romance, affectionate and charming. - pei ming please get pickled again.

also its funny that hua cheng is just kinda hanging out and everyone else just has to deal with it

Looking down from above, the entire area was painted in a terrifying black. It was easy to see the collision between the two different-coloured currents. Their fierce battle was what formed this enormous whirlpool. As the eye swallowed the ship whole, the two currents of water separated. However, the battle was far from over. Like two venomous vipers, they continued to snap at each other. Each collision was followed by a mountain of angry waves. - this pretty dope ngl. also love our wind and earth masters just chilling on a shovel i dig it. hehe

Yet, other than discovering Hua Cheng had a fine body, there were no other finds. Xie Lian was at his wit’s end and started to worry. - okay see this one’s funny im just also irritated bc im like WE KNOW!!! WE GET IT HE’S HOT AND XIE LIAN THINKS HE’S HOT OKAY GOT IT

okay kiss #2 again its not the kisses themselves its xie lian’s reaction it just bothers me idk im not saying i need him to be super into it and completely unconflicted about it rn but he’s just so freaked out about it and idk i just dont really like it just feels weird i dont care for that aspect of it. also dude hua cheng is a ghost and he did this exact same thing for you before just chill. i wish instead of xie lian literally running away while screaming that hes sorry he was just like “oh haha youre fine thats cool im gonna go look around the woods i dont feel weird about this at all haha” like idk its kind of funny but when its literally our two romantic leads i just feel like its confusing like it kind of makes me feel like they shouldnt be together if one of them freaks out this much again considering the fact that they are both CENTURIES old. i know i know xie lian is an 800 year old virgin but. he hasn’t been like this about anything else so yeah idk like it still could have been awkward and funny i just dont think it needed to be so :/ that being said it was funny that xie lian was then internally like “oh i did it wrong? perhaps i should ask him for more.. instructions....” if that actually happens i might like it bc it would complete this little watery theme

also i do think that oblivious xie lian thinking “wow whoever it is that hua cheng fancies is an idiot for not liking him back theyre totally taking him for granted :/” is kind of funny and sweet. actually the whole conversation they have at the campfire is good and im bookmarking it to think about later

“...You on top and me on the bottom,” Xie Lian replied. “Isn’t top and bottom the same?” Hua Cheng asked. - okay im sorry but. mood whenever theres discourse about top/bottom dynamics for a ship im just like jesus christ i dont care. tbh i rarely read fanfiction if its just sexual and ngl if i see a fic specifically tag characters as top or bottom i wont read it lmfao. especially when people have really strong opinions about this stuff when theres nothing canonical to back it up like headcanon all you want but whenever i see people argue about it im just like no offense but go work out your own sexual issues and dynamics instead of arguing with strangers on the internet about who’s a top and who’s a bottom. sorry to be mean but just thats how i feel lol

ok so listen up i’ll explain to you how it came to be that eddy and i ever really properly clicked and got married (this has very little to do with eddy actually but. just hear me out)

so i was a weird kid and by weird i mean that i usually wasn’t allowed to play with my peers in primary school and preferred to read books and my parents weren’t like, awful, but they were more interested in how i was doing academically than emotionally so i looked for a different authority figure that might like me. and because i liked to tell stories and also because i liked to do well in school so that i’d feel like i have some worth, i got on quite well with my class teacher. she was a very very lovely lady and always tried to support my writing and my creativity and so i thought we had something ~special~ and kept using the informal you when talking to her in an effort to show everyone how i’m allowed to do this bc i’m great, too, actually. (yes i was that kid but in my defense i really needed someone to approve of me ok)

so fast forward to me leaving primary school: i stayed in touch with that teacher for a while and wrote letters to her and also visited her a couple of times. and we’d exchange book recs and one time she recced me the artemis fowl series, which i absolutely loved

now, puberty was also happening except i couldn’t really rebel bc then i’d disappoint people and they’d stop liking me so my outward form of rebellion was to do well academically but pretend that i’m not putting in any effort. (just don’t ask) however, the way i actually rebelled was by making up ocs that were basically just “cool” punkrock dudes (hello comphet) who were actual rebels (and who usually also had parents who didn’t care / were absent and who were still doing well academically but they were also being Dark and Edgy like a good ol’ 2012 emo) (and i also had a compulsive crush on this one guy in my class who came closest to that stereotype without ever realising that Actually, that guy is a massive asshole. like so massive that he’s openly a n*zi now)

what does this have to do with artemis fowl? well, there’s this one character who’s kinda a daredevil. and i mean. look. he’s called *trouble*. of COURSE i’d find him to be the fucking coolest so i started making up these hcs about what a cool rebel type elf he is. and obviously i had to ship him with someone who was Cool and not a loser like me, so i shipped him with holly (still do tbh)

anyways and then i found (on ff.net?? maybe??) fanfics of trouble/holly. and there was one i remember in particular which was a songfic about trouble being pissed that so many people hit on holly and the song it was to was nickelback’s next contestant

that’s how i got into rock music

and then i also got into green day around the same time and had a big crush on billie joe armstrong and there’s still the one time i left a stupid comment about how september had ended haha on a lyrics video of wake me up when september ends and someone told me off for it and even though i hadn’t known what the song was about i still feel bad about it

but anyways that’s how i got into rock music and even tho i never listened to too many bands or songs (back in those days you Couldn’t get music on youtube in germany bc it was always taken down and the only other way to get music was to buy it with money and i was a KID and so i didn’t have lots of money and i was too much of a goody two shoes to pirate) i always felt like i was weird for preferring rock / metal cause i didn’t know anybody else who did and i wasn’t brave enough to hang out with the alternative crowd at my school

and then uni rolled around and even tho i met some people who were into the same music they... weren’t particularly nice to me and i was very depressed and sad and lonely and had been talking to people on the internet a lot more bc they were nicer to me than rl people who i constantly felt ignored by

and THEN there was some weird guy with colourful hair (can you believe that??? someone who was cool enough to DYE HIS HAIR and STILL talk to me???? what the FUCK) and i don’t even remember how we got to talking about music but we did and it turned out we like the same kind of music (and the same kind of a lot of other things)

and now we’re married :3

anyways congrats to listening to me rant about how my primary school teacher + me being rejected by peers and authority figures alike led to me finding a great guy

1. what’s your favourite genre to write?

I think I’m with Bailey on this one, I don’t think I know anymore.  I’m particularly fond of hurt-comfort I think, and angst with a happy ending, but with @chopped100challenge I’ve definitely started to branch out.

2. do you pull inspiration from real-life, or do you pull things from other books/fanfic?

From like, my own life?  Not really, although I do eventually want to write a fic in some fandom, idk what yet, about a teacher moving to the north to teach in an Inuit community.  Otherwise, I usually tend to pull from other works or start with a trope or vague concept and move from there.

3. do you tend to write one-shots, short stories, or longer things?

I think I’ve discovered that my works tend to fall between 4000-8000 words for most oneshots, with a few falling shorter, and chapters for longer works tend to hover around the 2000-3000 word mark?  I have trouble with longer works, though (see my perpetually wip multichapters)

4. do you prefer description or dialogue?

Dialogue is my JAM!  I’ve rp’ed so much that I can jump into the minds of characters pretty easily, but description is a lot harder for me.  I always feel like I don’t describe things enough.

5. favourite fanfic/book of all time?

Why do I have to choose?  When it comes to fanfic, I’m going to go way back to my old ff.net days in the YuGiOh fandom and say Coffee Girl because it was the first fic I ever read that really /stuck/ with me, ya know?

I’m also very fond of the works of @dylanobrienisbatman and @pawprinterfanfic <3 and really just all of the Chopped fics (over 125 fics at this point!!!!!)

As for books, I’ll always be fond of the Harry Potter series, and the Artemis Fowl series, and the Abhorsen/Old Kingdom series.... but my favourite book of all time I think is Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay.

6. favorite trope?

Ironically enough, it’s any variation of the “_____ to lovers” trope haha.  Strangers, friends, enemies, literally any variation.  Which is why Round 1 of Chopped was like... so much fun for me.

7. are you the kind of person to work on more than one wip?

Yes, sadly.  If I wasn’t that kind of person, then maybe I would actually finish a multichapter wip.

8. how long have you been writing for?

Well.  Technically my first ever fanfic was published in 2008, I think?  Then I abandoned that ff.net account and later rejoined the fic publishing world in 2015 it looks like, with The Laundromat on a new ff.net account (and crossposted on Ao3).  But I definitely was writing fanfic and rp’ing that entire time, just not publishing fics.  And I’ve also deleted a few fics off that original ff.net account so it may have even started earlier than that.  To date I have 27 fics posted on Ao3, 29 if you count my two Chopped Madness fics.

9. do you tend to write more during the morning, afternoon, or evening?

I usually write more in the evening, but I will write whenever inspiration strikes.  My Chopped Madness Round 1 fic was written between 8pm and 3am in one night.  That was a fun time.

10. do you prefer to post your wip chapter by chapter, or do you prefer to wait until your wip is 100% finished before posting?

Well... I have many unfinished wips that I’ve started to post so that answers that question

This is a copied/edited post from @capshorty since I’ve decided to do a separate writeblr blog due to the amount of interest it has garnered from people. So yeah! Follow me here for writing stuff from now on! I’m going to repost everything of my stuff I had there on here to make it easiest and continue to post it here from now on.

So... Hi! I go by Cap, Smidget, or Authoress depending on where you find me on the internet. Any of those are okay. As of starting this account, I’m 18, soon to start first year of college, and I love everything to do with words: reading, writing, singing, everything I can get my hands on. 

I write both fanfiction and original content! My AO3/FF names are Smidget and CaptainS10 respectively. I mainly write fanfiction for Marvel (specifically, Irondad and Spiderson content, and Pepperony) these days, though I used to write mostly Artemis Fowl, which I will repost on here if there ever becomes a demand for it. I dabble in various fandoms as well, though a lot of them never make it to posting, like the Legend of Zelda, or Throne of Glass (though I still hope to post my TOG stuff eventually). If it’s a popular books series, chances are I’ve read it or am open to reading it, so feel free to drop asks/recommendations about it! I am also an active roleplayer, so feel free to drop me a message for a fandom or original roleplay if anyone is interested! 

I have four main original WIPs - none of which have had as much work as there should be done on them due to school, but I’m trying to remedy that. I’ll be doing intro posts separately for each of my original WIPs later, but here’s a brief overlook of them now:

Exile: This story is historical, adventure, and drama mainly, with some romantic subplots. The plot follows a man who was exiled from his home kingdom several years back for a murder of a high-ranking individual that he didn’t commit. In present time, the kingdom he lives in now has been seized by an evil usurper, the royals in previously charge either executed or exiled. When the usurper’s estranged daughter falls ill with a rare but deadly sickness, he is forced to go on a trip to get the one plant that can cure her. The catch: the only way for him to get to where the plant can be found and get back on time is to go through his former home, and he finds himself mixed up in a lot more than he bargained for along the way.

Little Red: This one is modern day, drama, young adult, with high school age kids, but not set IN high school. The main character has it all: happy home life, good girlfriend, about to graduate high school and most of his college covered by academic and athletic scholarships; then one day everything changes. A girl moves in next door to his girlfriend. His girlfriend takes an interest in her, and suddenly his whole world is morphed. The girl is little and meek, but clearly is hiding some sort of secret. As he tries to figure out what it is, he suddenly sees deeper and finds something he would never have imagined…

Untitled Time Travel Story: This story, obviously, I haven’t come up with a name for yet. It’s sci-if, fantasy, drama, with some crime and romance elements. The main character is a young woman who is on the run. When she was little, her father murdered her mother and tried to kill her in cold blood. A man helped her escape, but just barely, sacrificing himself in the process. The catch: her father was a scientist developing secret time travel technology. All she escaped from her home with was the clothes on her back and a prototype of his time travel watch, which she has used since then to move back and forth through time, trying to stay hidden from the man who still hunts her and trying to figure out the truth of what really happened that day.

Undercover Disaster: This story is a conceptual rewrite of a fanfic I wrote turned original. It’s crime, romance, drama, and modern-set. A cadet comes home for the holidays to see her family only to find her father, a cop, going crazy with work trying to hunt down some infamous criminal that has been on the rise and is now believed to be in their country. A company Christmas party turns her break on its head when she gets roped into a crazy plot to try to infiltrate the criminal’s company and find desperately needed information to lead to his arrest. But what they don’t know is that this criminal is deadly and smart - and yet not even the one they’re truly searching for. And when they try to send her undercover into his company… well, it’s just one big disaster.

What do you identify as and what are your pronouns?

I’m even a little shaken by a questioning state right now but for a while I’ve felt the best fit is the androgynous label -- I read a description of it being the purple on a pink to blue scale, both at once but not specifically either one, and something else by itself. I’m also happy with a cryptic masculine grey area. My pronouns are he/him.

How did you discover your sexuality, tell your story?

During the Puberty 1.0 nightmare, I was basically living someone else’s life, and any attraction I felt wasn’t in relation to myself. I felt disconnected from my body and gender and everything too, and I felt a lot of social pressure to experience a certain type of attraction, fit into a certain role, et cetera, and none of these feelings existed in me at all, so I used to identify as ace. When I realized I was trans, I was too caught up in the, transition safely, my life is a lie, stopping dysphoria drama to focus on this, but I had an idea I might be a gay guy judging from my gay creative writing until I caught feelings for a girl and realized this wasn’t the first time that had happened. Some bi positivity and nonbinary rage later, I am reminded that gender is a joke.

Have you experienced being misgendered? What happened and how did you overcome it?

Yes of course A LOT. Starting with my parents, who do it aggressively and maliciously. And plenty from strangers and customers, mostly after hearing my voice pre-transition. It used to hurt terribly because I was dealing with so much other stuff at the time, and one little thing could be the last straw, so I used to react strongly and harshly, to people you express yourself to anyway. On T, I’ve been so much more chill and confident, and it’s less painful to accept that some people just don’t know any better, although that doesn’t change its effect.

Who was the first person you told, how did they react?

I don’t remember, I think it was a high school friend. I vaguely remember texting someone in a bathroom during a crying session at work. My high school friends were all warm and supportive.

Describe what it was like coming out, what did you feel?

It was scary as hell. I’m sure coming out (with your gender specifically) is scary by nature because it’s a huge truth to be telling that can really change how the people you love perceive you, for better or for worse, but for me, I’m also thinking with the dread and certainty that my family would be too conservative and potentially dangerous. Coming out to my family was one of the worst, most painful things I’ve ever been through -- being kicked out and laughed at, a lot of drama, confrontations, Bible readings and being ganged up on at odd hours, trying to comfort my mom who took it as her personal failure -- I was shaking with adrenaline 24/7. I think of the “I’ll suffer through anything as long as it has meaning” comment that was about angsty fanfics, but knowing the truth about myself was a source of unshakable strength and it felt refreshing and even triumphant to say, like I was giving myself permission to exist for the first time. I came out a bunch of times, though...

If you’re out, how did your parents/guardians/friends react?

My family reacted mostly badly, my sister is a little confused but has the spirit, and my friends have been wonderful.

What is one question you hate people asking about your sexuality?

It’s more of a gender thing, but I hate it when people imply that I shouldn’t be on T or are subtly trying to talk me out of it with their questions. After all the disrespectful as fuck bullshit I heard from my parents, I’m tired of this.

Who are your favourite lgbt+ ships?

I’m not really emotionally invested in these “ships” you cool kids are talking about. I like canon, age-appropriate ones.

What does makeup mean to you? Do you wear any?

I’ve never really worn makeup. I brazenly never bothered to growing up, and if it had an effect on me socially, I was too tuned out to care. My sister always wanted to do my hair and makeup, but I wasn’t interested and wouldn’t let her, much to her frustration. I wore some for a musical once though, and I had no idea what I was doing and it was extremely uncomfortable. I felt what I know now is dysphoria and ended up using the lipstick to draw. Another aspect to this is my family forbade it (or my dad made the decision for everyone), not that it made my sister feel less pressured to wear it, so maybe it was some female presentation I could easily get out of. For that reason, I don’t have super strong feelings about it. Not understanding it probably resulted in me feeling left out a lot among my peers.

Do you experience dysphoria? If so, how does that affect you?

Yes. Before my realization, it was a numb horror I wasn’t consciously aware of, ruining nice things growing up to the point where I feel like I missed out on being a teenager. I remember it as feeling nauseous while sitting in a corner, feeling like none of my clothes ever fit for some mysterious reason. Living with my family in the closet, it defined my life, and I was obsessed with my presentation. These days, it does not bother me on that level at all, except a minor freakout now and then if I get really wild and wear feminine clothes. Or I still feel it in more subtle ways, when I default to customer service voice, or when guys my age are twice my height and I look aaaall the way up at them and wonder what gender they see me as.

What is the stupidest thing you’ve heard said about the lgbt+ community?

Trust me, I have heard truck loads of dumb shit and the winner is the Gay Agenda is R****a’s propaganda to weaken the integrity of North America. Considering what is happening over there, it was enragingly stupid.

What’s your favourite thing about the lgbt+ community?

I feel like I can be myself around lgbt+ people. I don’t feel like I have to hide stuff or put on a show, and I’m not afraid because it’s familiar territory.

What’s your least favourite thing about the lgbt+ community?

Aside from obvious problems like TERFs, ace discourse. Ace people are part of the community if they want to be and that’s enough on that, my skin is already breaking out.

Have you ever been to your cities pride event? Why or why not?

I finally went to a Pride event this year! I was surprised it was the first one I’d been to, then remembered my parents discouraged me from going anywhere, never mind to a gay where.

Who is your favourite lgbt+ Icon/Advocate/Celebrity?

I can’t think of many people right now, but Leslie Feinberg seems awesome, and some quotes from Stone Butch Blues are very validating.

Have you been in a relationship and how did you meet?

No. Technically I have been in one, but it was shitty and ridiculous, and basically platonic, and I don’t want it to count.

What is your favourite lgbt+ book?

I barely read… I read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe in high school and it was honestly so precious.

Have you ever faced discrimination? What happened?

Yes. I got kicked out (but then kicked back in again), had my stuff stolen and damaged, was verbally harassed… and I was indirectly fired by an employer, but We Will Never Know Why...

No, but I did see some drag performances at the one (1) Pride event I went to, and they were jaw-dropping.

I’m not sure what this question means, but I decide what fits right by what makes me feel the most alive and emotionally real and in the moment. What makes me feel the most attractive to be honest. There’s a post about dysphoria I saw going around, the things on it are basically what I use to figure things out.

Are you interested in having children? Why or why not?

I am actually! Not anytime soon, but I’m the responsible type for sure, and judging by the way I love growing plants and being around animals, I’m probably a nurturing person. I actually like kids too, lol, they’re just so high-energy.

What identity advice would you give your younger self?

You’re a boy. Go!

What do you think of gender roles in relationships?

I think people are going to have different ways of expressing themselves that make them happy, but… I don’t think they should infringe on basic human decency. When I hear “role” I think of acting a certain way because someone told you to, something I want to disagree with on the spot.

Anything else you want to share about your experience with gender?

People move out of my way on the sidewalk and take me seriously now. Privilege or self-confidence… I never want to forget what it used to be like, or get too entitled.

What is something you wish people know about being lgbt+?

That it’s simply living one’s reality. I think that trips up a lot of straight people -- that some people just come like this, and they don’t have to make it fit into their personal identity.

Why are proud to be lgbt+?

Because I worked hard to be alive and happy right now. I’m proud of choosing to get through those rough patches, take care of myself, heal, take walks, cook breakfast, learn healthy coping mechanisms, that was out of love for myself and a defiant conviction that I have a place in this world.

I never studied at all because that was always a guarantee that I’d screw up the test/exam

Usually I’d prefer tea but sometimes I need the higher boost from coffee

I think pretty decently, but it’s not impressive or anything. I don’t like being in the water anyway

Yup. But I have to hold my nose if I’m diving into water because of my piercing
