In the middle of the song, John suddenly switched up to ‘Isolation’ melody, which has this original lyrics,

I think these lyrics are directed to Paul, because it pretty much summed up his feelings for him back then. Very angry, but also very sorry for him. But then the interesting thing in this demo is, he changed the lyrics of ‘Isolation’ to this,

I don't expect you to understand

The kingdom of heaven is in your hand

I don’t expect you to wake up from your dream

Too late for crying now it seems

The ‘wake up from your dream’ part is definitely a reference to the whole beatles tales. Here’s a snippet of ‘God’ (a song from the same album as ‘Isolation’) lyrics,

The dream is over

As we know, Paul is the one who keeps pushing the idea of writing together to John, even years after the breakup. Or in other words, Paul is the one who doesn’t want to wake up from the dreams.

So yeah, anyway!! i just thought, the lyrics ‘The kingdom of heaven is in your hand’ being written for Paul is kinda insane.
