hey star wars fans. remember the collective ~1 year long fever dream that was dinluke. and then bobf/mandalorian season three came out and everyone decided collectively that it wasn’t cool anymore for like a myriad of reasons

that was a lot of fun to watch! some very good fanworks came out of that period of time. i’ve got some theories about exactly why it took off so hard (not many reoccurring characters in mando, luke being a notable but not paired off heavily character, general interesting interactions of their respective space religious ideas and their own opinions on them) but mostly i’m fascinated by the fact that it went so hard for such a short period of time and now that subset of the fandom is just like, dead. pretty neat
