Gaaahh I saw TPOT 12 was released yesterday at 1 AM *right as I was going to sleep* 😭
I drew this silly art on my phone in like an hour lol. Golf Ball literally wasn't in TPOT 11 but she's my favorite character so I'm legally obligated to add her in every anticipation art I do. 8-Ball was, in fact, in TPOT 11 though (he and Dora had a weirdly cute friendship 🥹) and he and Golf Ball had such beef in BFB it's actually hilarious.
TPOT 12 is titled "What's Up Bell's String?" so the background circle is Bell-colored (I'm fairly sure) and wowow look it has a string at the top!!
Ok sorry, it's time for me to stop yapping and actually watch the episode haha.

Okay. Runaway Hosts thoughts.
Tumblr media
Mephone4 ran away because his whole world was a lie and didn't want to hurt anyone, unable to comply with Cobs's expectations and to continue with everything.
But then there's Two.
They had friends, a life, people who loved them, they had it good in theory. From what we've seen, Two is a very confident one, just as Mephone4, and seems to be like they're kind of a rascal at the start.
But they're not really one.
Maybe it's because they literally got their ass beat by the contestants, but they have softened up a lot ever since they realized the error of their ways.
Mephone4 and Two have something in common: they want to be themselves, they want to create something that the ones who made them feel insecure/forced to be someone would dislike/wouldn't expect of them, and how they changed thanks to the contestants.
Mephone4's change is subtle. He doesn't have a lot of EXPLICIT stuff, but you can tell that it's there. He genuinely wants to be a better person, but he just lacks a compass, someone that leads him to become more genuine to himself. Because he cares. But judging from how he was raised by Cobs, he probably doesn't get how to show vulnerability properly and shakes it off with being a sly bastard (affectionate), but he does love his contestants. He loves his friends.
And Two is more explicit with the change. Two is emotional, more open, more in touch with their own feelings.
They want to be themselves, not to live off the expectations of others, and I think that's why they interact so freely with Four and X.
Because Four absolutely despises them, and by logical thinking, means they have zero expectations of them. And X is generally just a sweet guy. He seems to like people, and just lets them be themselves. That's possibly why Two liked X as their co-host too. They were just having fun. And when X had to leave, Two accepted it and didn't do much about it either. Two shows to be vulnerable around Gaty because Gaty gets them.
All of the contestants don't see Two as this powerful being who is terrifying or anything.
They see them as an equal who just kind of happens to have god's powers.
And same happens with Mephone4, I think.
So.
They see eachother as equals, definitely. And them finding out that they have similar stories is comforting.
Because they know that they aren't alone. They have eachother.
And maybe they both miss their homes. But they know they can't come back ever.
Mephone4 because he doesn't want to comply with Cobs and do as he says, he doesn't want to hurt anyone.
Two because they don't want to be forced to be someone by the expectations of the other algebrarians.
They want to be themselves.
And that's okay.

I'm I the only one who has trouble designing the new algebrarians?

Bro, I have so many AUs of Ruby.
Of course, there are the one where she has an 'Inner Flame' (MWTC), one where she is in a prophecy (Lost Six), two where she is a mother (Fankids + an alternate Fankid, Snowby is underrated), and one where she is a portal master (Video Games AU).
But then there are ones simply confusing without conext like Ruby kinda being like Darkstalker and having magic and sudden regeneration and magic sensing (how else could she sense Nonexisty? She isn't even competing for the Power of Two, nor is she an algebrarian), or the one where Ruby has the same personality as Silver Spoon and vice versa, or the one where she is stuck in a musical trance, or the one where she can fly and lives with TSTOE alongside Flower, or the one-

I love object shows both because they’re good, and one specific reason:
Every character has a unique weakness/perk that is obvious at first glance. Firey setting a bunch of stuff on fire and dying in water, Suitcase ii and Liam hfjone being able to use themselves to carry stuff around, etc. it just makes everything so much more interesting, each character feeling unique even if they don’t have much screentime. Same face syndrome is literally impossible, characters are easy to understand but can easily subvert expectations, certain characters being more at risk of death than others, and so much more.
Even custom creatures can be interesting as well, like the algebrarians in bfdi that have so many implications with everything Four can do I’m glad that all of that has a high skill ceiling (implied by X not knowing how to use a few abilities). Aside from magic, each of them having a different texture is such a random feature but so mind boggling that my world-building obsessed brain sorta gave up on figuring that out. (Like,, is it hereditary? Do they even reproduce? How do they come into being in the first place? Are they immortal?? I don’t think I’m gonna get answers and it annoys me)
Idk, object shows just have so much freedom that many other mainstream genres don’t have. Usually fantasy is limited to what you can put in a human shape or even just associate with a human, in object shows it’s just. Objects. Doing whatever they want. It’s so good
Anyways that’s my rant I think, I just got that osc brainrot

Wowow, TPOT 10 anticipation art
I got home from school that day and saw that it had been released, was very intrigued by the title, and then drew this before I watched it.
(It was really good! I still find Pen's dream the funniest haha)
