who’s your least favorite of your OCs?
A character Ive provisionally named Dre. He´s one of my favorite character's father and if you thought Robert slicing Sann's vocal cords for running his mouth, Rob is pretty innocent against Dre.
Dre is just...inhuman. He's literally not human, but he lacks any type of morality, mercy or self preservation. Like Im serious, this man is bad news to anyone who crosses his way.
Pity he is also impossible to kill and is living like a parasite inside his son´s brain. :)

18+ CONTENT
Game: Genshin Impact
Characters: Catgirl!La Signora x gn!reader with a cock
Type: Smut and fluff (modern au, breeding, creampie)
You were seated at your study table and typed away at your computer for hours, your fingers relentlessly pressing the keys as your eyes were glued to the screen. You had deadlines to complete, you couldn't relax even during the weekend. You had no idea how long you had been seated here since you didn't budge from your place at all, your back was bound to ache once you'd get up.
"Mmm... nya~" all of a sudden, a pair of arms wrapped around you from behind followed by a familiar voice purring in your ear, you flinched and broke your focus finally then turned to look at the person behind.
"You have been working since morning, come and play with me now~"
Rosalyne purred and licked your ear, her breasts pressing on your shoulders as she swayed her body left and right.
"R-Rosie, I have a deadline. Give me more time, please...."
Rosalyne pouted and bit your earlobe now, making you softly gasp.
"Not fair. It's the weekend, you are supposed to spend time with me."
"I know, I'm really sorry. They gave me all this work at the last minute...." you said with a sigh and Rosalyne frowned, snuggling into your neck and purring.
You felt bad for upsetting her this way, you also wanted to spend time with her more.
"Well then, at least you can take a break now~" Rosalyne chimed and licked up your nape.
You softly chuckled and nodded then scratched her chin, she came around your chair and sat on your lap sideways. She held your hand and made you caress her face, you smiled at her and patted her ears and scratched her chin then she gripped your hand and licked your fingers lovingly. You gazed at her and couldn't take your eyes off her, she was really beautiful for a catgirl with her long platinum blonde hair, fluffly ears and tail.
Not to mention, she was really needy for love. You had found her in a shelter and were told her previous owner died in an unfortunate accident, since then she hadn't opened her heart to anyone and would usually hiss and scratch away at people who came near her. Then her increasing age was another reason people didn't want to take her, only you know the pains you suffered trying to gain her trust.
Rosalyne nibbled your fingers then leaned in to lick all over your face, her fluffy tail wrapped around you and you caressed her body as she licked you. She especially loved licking your lips, it was a sign she wanted to kiss you and you were more than happy to oblige. Your tongues intertwined and rolled with each other's, her purring and moans resounding in your ears as you pulled her deeper into the kiss.
She parted with a string of saliva connecting your lips and her tongue sticking out, playfully winking at you before she turned around on your lap and looked at your table. Her tail rested against your body, your arms securely wrapped around her waist as she observed your computer screen intently.
"What are you working at that's taking so long, hm?~" she wiggled her butt on your lap as she read through your documents, her movements making you shudder as she was directly stimulating your crotch. It didn't help how scantily dressed she was, wearing just an underwear and one of your own shirts that was clearly big for her.
"R-Rosie, sit properly...."
Rosalyne looked over her shoulder in confusion then realized what you meant. Oh, the cheeky smirk that crept up her face. You knew what she was planning. Before you could stop her, she already positioned herself in such a manner that your crotch was placed between her butt and she continued rubbing back n forth on your lap.
This was arguably the most surprising thing you discovered once she opened up to you, how feisty and seductive she was. Her being an older catgirl only made things better, you felt so lucky to have found her and won her trust. But it was also problematic in certain scenarios- like the one you were currently in.
"Ngh... Rosie, don't... I have to work..." you groaned and held onto her waist, stopping her from moving.
"Aww, will you really ignore me for your boring work, 'master'?~"
That did it for you. She called you that teasingly whenever you got intimate, she was otherwise too prideful to call you that. She bit her lip and resumed grinding on your lap, her panties rubbing directly against your clothed cock that was semi-erect now. You rested on the chair and let her do as she pleased, you were too aroused and overcome with desire to stop her.
"Master... come on, don't make me do all the work, aahn~"
You gritted your teeth then stopped her as you pushed back your chair and stood up. She heard you unzip your pants and excitement surged through her, she looked over her shoulder and saw you pull out your cock, her mouth salivating at the sight. You slipped her panties to the side and rubbed your tip over her folds, her slick already coating your cock head and mixing with your pre-cum.
She braced herself against the table as you thrusted forward and filled her up in one sweep, her back arching as a cute squeal left her mouth. Your girthy cock filled her up so well, she could feel herself stretching out as you penetrated her, staying in the same position for a while to let her adjust. Your hands caressed her butt possessively, pulling her cheeks apart and trying to go deeper.
"Aaah... m-master.... so good.... let me feel it more~"
Her tail stood upright against your body and you teasingly rubbed it to send vibrations to her and make her more aroused. She whimpered as you touched her tail then pushed her further down by her back and started moving in and out. Her head rested on the table as she let you take her, your hands moving to grip her hips and thrust faster and deeper.
"Ngh~! Master—! More....! Y/n.... aaahn!~"
"You really like calling me that today, don't you? Why not say it more normally as well, you sound so adorable~" you teased with a grin as you rolled your hips into her.
"But it's better, mmmh... when you hear it like this, isn't it? It makes you more intense~"
She was still so cocky, but you loved her this way. You squeezed her hips and plowed forward, rapidly pounding into her. She held herself against the edge of the table, her ears flat and her tongue lolled out. You then held her right leg and pulled it up to place it on your shoulder and stepped forward, she gasped and rested more of her body on the table by pushing down some files and documents. You increased your pace and drilled deeper, your tip prodding her sensitive spots making her mewl in ecstasy.
"Cum in me, master! Give me your milk!~"
You already planned to, but not so soon. You suddenly stopped moving and pulled out from her. She whined and hissed at you in anger, but you quickly pulled her towards you as you sat on the chair and placed her on your lap, her front facing you. She was quick to place your cock inside her again, plunging deeply as she sat down and you hilted to the base. She gripped your shoulders and moved up and down your lap, your cock secured by her wet and tight walls.
She rode you to her heart's content, it was intense and filthy but so hot. Her slick dripped down her thighs, sounds of squelching coming from how hard she rode you. Your cock pierced her all the way, hitting her womb and ready to burst any minute. Rosalyne leaned closer and hugged you then bit down your neck, her canines biting your skin as she held you tightly.
You hissed and thrusted up into her now, holding her down by her waist. She mewled and continued biting you, marking you as her own. She braced for the moment you'd fill her up with your seed, she could feel your cock twitch then finally burst. Spurts of hot cum painted her walls and filled her up, she moaned loudly as she released biting you.
You panted while holding each other as you came down from your high, Rosalyne had also cum with you and was seeing stars. She kept licking the spot where she bit you, followed by kissing all around your neck and jaw then licking your lips too. You smiled at each other with a chuckle then shared a gentle kiss, maybe she'd let you work now.

a short analysis on the theme of kindness in kuro, in defence of the morally reprehensible protagonists. pt2
focused character analysis: ciel phantomhive (ours)
before getting into this, i highly recommend reading my last post which received a great response from @plague-of-insomnia (very much appreciated additions that i will be referring to), i wanted to do a part two to my analysis and i will likely do a post of sebastian too but for now it's ciel who i want to focus on and how he is 'different' to other humans.
firstly i would like to follow up the points i made about the blue memory arc
Tumblr media
our ciel wants to open a toy shop because of his own condition of being stuck at home with limited activities, he wants to make indoor toys. his brother says "nobles don't sell toys" and in this chapter it is alluded multiple times that he, as the second son, should have either become a 'vicar' or 'doctor' as they are respectable jobs, unlike being a toy maker/seller. another point is that o!ciel establishes here that he knows he can't be like the other members of the phantomhive bloodline (see: pt1 talking about undertaker's quote "he is unlike his predecessors"). back to the second son point, we already know how frustrating it is to be a second son:
Tumblr media
but o!ciel has not once shown himself to be jealous of his brother, nor was he frustrated that he couldn't be earl. in fact he constantly reassures his brother in the blue memory arc that he is like their father and he'll make a great earl. he also makes it clear he does not desire the popularity that comes with being a vicar. (we see the vicar in their land is a manager of affairs with a lot of power/responsibility/direct access to nobility and when seb takes on the vicar disguise, ciel makes it clear that he is a "popular" person, akin to a "celebrity"). roles of religious importance are shown as vain in kuro.
Tumblr media
it's interesting because the chapter we see the real vicar rathbone is the same chapter o!ciel says he wants to make toys and r!ciel says nobles don't do that and the murder arc where sebs is disguised as an alternate vicar rathbone is the same arc we find that o!ciel reads working class magazines because the consumers of his toys/funtom products are "common folk", he even reads punch!
Tumblr media
..that's it for vicars, those are the only two instances we see them mentioned. the doctors we see are different. we have madame red who became a killer and used her skills to kill prostitutes out of spite (edit: as well as viscount druitt who does have a medical licence and we saw him doing human trafficking although i forgot about him, thank god plague-of-insomnia reminded me lmao) but we have two other doctors characters that are very important.
Tumblr media
this nasty piece of work ^^ in the circus arc, very selfish and inhuman, uses VERY unethical methods to create prosthetics, morally bankrupt doctor similar to madame red
Tumblr media
this stoker guy who is also a doctor. selfish, doesn't understand what medicine he's even using on people, just generally a egotistical awful guy.
in both these arcs, we see o!ciel show humanity
Tumblr media
he's going to the workhouse baron kelvin supported and is going to recommend it to a philanthropist. although there was no workhouse, those children were likely already the doctor's victims.
in the campania, he not only goes back for lizzy, he is very considerate of a servant who not only tried to kill him with his snakes but also doesn't even call him by a formal title (snake called him 'smile' until the end, ciel never took offence to it despite being a noble)
Tumblr media
he not only shows this amount of consideration, he also gives up his seat in the boats which plague-of-insomnia mentioned when they rb-ed pt1 of this analysis. i genuinely think the way o!ciel treats snake is extremely perplexing, he is too considerate... perhaps guilt? perhaps the empathy he feels as he too lived a lonely and alienated life as compared to the rest of his family? he felt like his family did not tell him anything and just died/disappeared, leaving him to have to wait for the killers to come back for him just so he can get his self-righteous revenge.
finally i would like to point out a little tidbit, o!ciel generally does not seem to care at all about society's expectations. his relationship with his tenants and servants is abnormally humane. i would also like to point out his confusion at elizabeth's sobbing about being the scary kind of woman he doesn't like (something r!ciel had implied)
Tumblr media
this boy has never shown that kind of expression towards femininity or women... even when it sounds like he's being sexist, it's usually a poorly done translation, i don't know japanese well but before anyone pulls this up, i found the japanese raw to check over it myself:
Tumblr media
he did not say "ladies don't come in such monstrous heights", he said something more along the lines of "it's impossible/i can't stand to dance with a tall/big lady in this way"(?)
[please correct me if i'm wrong, i don't know japanese well and my forte is indo european languages]
the point of this analysis is not to say ciel is solely "good" or 'pure cinnamon roll uwu' (i would never), but just to say he is capable of humanity... in a story about horrible humans, he as a one of the morally grey main characters is capable of being a force for good. he's also pointed out to be different to others and shown to not contain the same bad aspects of the other pathways he could've gone in life e.g. vain vicar or diabolical doctor. he is at his core, a character who shows humanity and compassion and that is why he is likeable even when he does heinous things. he is more than an innocent baby and more than an evil aristocrat with zero morals. although the head honcho of this story is sebs but i will get into him in another post, he's also a VERY interesting protagonist.

ok since i’ve really only whined but not actually explained my reasoning lol, here is my take on the s5 finale. (this is long, sorry)
I think we’re all on the same page about the idea that gabriel being seen as a hero, by all of paris but especially adrien, is icky. and on top of that it does not feel good that marinette is supporting that lie, even if it’s out of love for adrien. most people are assuming this issue will be resolved somehow in 6, probably by lila exposing the truth. cool. that’s my hope as well. but even if that’s the case, i still dislike the framing of his wish and what the surrounding context seems to imply about it.
it is not my assumption that gabriel’s wish included green initiatives and a reformation of the parisian school system lol. I assume that his wish was to exchange his own life for nathalie’s. but as we know, wishes literally rewrite reality. the fact is that paris improved after his wish, so it is still related. he remade the world, and the new world ended up better. It all supports the idea that his wish was a good thing—a noble sacrifice that redeemed him in some sense. my impression is that even if (hopefully) he is exposed as hawkmoth, the actual wish he made will still be framed as admirable. obviously marinette found it noble enough to agree to lie to everyone about gabriel’s identity as hawkmoth.
which brings me to another pain point: the fact that gabriel essentially won the long battle against ladybug and chat noir. i’ve heard arguments that he didn’t win because he died and how is that winning? he got what he deserved in the end. but imo, he just put himself out of his own misery, because he was on the brink of death anyway because of his cataclysm wound, and he basically escaped having to face any emotional consequences from his literal terrorism and child abuse. and even if you don’t consider that a win, you also can’t consider marinette’s end of the deal a win either. her goal was to prevent hawkmoth from unifying the miraculous and making a reality-altering wish. which is exactly what happened. so she failed her mission. ladybug lost. and to me it’s sort of bizarre that the narrative seems to be framing that as a good thing? ladybug lost, but the new reality that resulted from it is so much better than the old one, and she is actively choosing to lie in order to protect the seeming goodness of that reality.
marinette is lying, of course, to protect adrien, which does not feel out of character. we’ve seen her do this before. but it is frustrating to me for precisely that reason. the final battle was meant to highlight how much marinette has grown over the past five seasons, but her choice here highlights the ways she has not grown. starting with syren in season 2, she has witnessed how much it hurts chat noir to be left in the dark and how it weakens their partnership. in that case, she convinced master fu to let him be in the know, and trust was restored. but then she continued a habit of keeping things from him, putting more and more distance between them, till it culminated with kuro neko in s4—a total breakdown of the ladynoir partnership, where chat noir renounced his miraculous. i would have thought that marinette would learn from that experience and realize that keeping people in the dark is harmful and that even if the truth hurts, adrien has a right to know it. but she once again made the decision for him, and when he finally finds out, it will be all the more painful to know that the person he loves and trusts most in the world lied to him. i actually really appreciate that marinette as a protagonist has such a good heart but is still such an imperfect character, so i want to respect this choice as a manifestation of her flawed but good intentions. i just can’t help but be really disappointed that after 5 seasons of making the same mistakes again and again, she has apparently not learned from them, which makes me feel she has not grown the way the writers say she has.
her facing hawkmoth alone for the final battle is supposed to be a sign of that growth—and yes, I can see how she has grown a lot in confidence and capability since her shaky debut as ladybug. but i also feel that her flying solo defies one of the central themes of miraculous: that in the fight against evil, good people need to stand together. just think of the difference between the s4 and the s5 finale. in strike back, ladybug is broken and sobbing because she has lost the miraculous and feels like a failure who is all alone. but then she is buoyed up by her faithful partner and all of paris, who express unbreakable faith in her and vow to stand by her side. that was so powerful! showing that she doesn’t have to be alone, and she’s not supposed to be alone, and that part of being a hero means accepting help and working with others to achieve good goals. this message was a major part of marinette’s character arc in s4 and it’s something that was introduced from the very beginning and has been supported over and over in the show. but then in “re-creation,” she has no team, and she doesn’t need one. which … good for her, I guess? But then why did we have 5 seasons of “you and me against the world” if in the end it was always going to culminate with “I'm sure we can figure out a solution if we work together. You … and me”—referring to Marinette and Gabriel, while Adrien is literally locked in a blank white prison hundreds of miles away?
it just really kills me that in kuro neko, adrien gave up his ring under the assumption that chat noir was not needed—that he was entirely useless to ladybug. and then the narrative proved him right. ladybug did not need chat noir to defeat monarch. she just needed his ring. the writers confirmed in their recent commentary that they had planned a bug noire fusion from the beginning, and they intentionally sidelined adrien so that could happen—they even had to figure out an excuse for why he wouldn’t be there. so they traumatized him with nightmares of destruction and fear of akumatization to ensure that he would once again give up his ring and conveniently remained locked away while bug noire faced down monarch alone.
you could argue that it’s better for adrien to have missed the final battle anyway, since facing his own father would just be even more traumatizing for him. i understand that. (that’s the reason i liked that in the owl house, it ended up being just luz vs belos, and hunter did not have to face him again.) but at the same time it feels so narratively unjust that chat noir—who has been fighting against hawkmoth by ladybug’s side since day 1—has zero part in seeing his mission through to the end. even though it’s all about him. because while marinette is the protagonist, adrien is the connecting piece of the whole story. it’s always been ladybug vs hawkmoth, and adrien is in the middle of them, because he’s both ladybug’s partner and gabriel’s son.
you’d think, logically, that as the connecting piece, Adrien’s decisions would be vital to the plot. That he’d have the power to tip it either way. but instead he is completely stripped of his autonomy—literally, because he’s a senti, and also symbolically in the narrative, because he’s simply removed from the equation. Like, he’s still central to the equation but he has no say in it. It’s all about him but he’s not even present. Everyone is fighting for him but he can’t fight for himself. Everyone is speaking for him but he doesn’t even have a voice.
the finale kind of sets up marinette and gabriel as narrative foils of each other, showing how they have the same motivation—to make adrien happy. and they make the same decision to protect that goal. which is interesting, sure, but also kind of effed up to me? i’m not sure what to take from the idea of the protagonist mirroring the antagonist in this way. that’s been done loads of times, but in this context, for a child audience, i don’t know what to make of it. what kind of message that is supposed to send to the children who are the primary audience of this show? ladybug is a good guy, and in the end, she’s just like the villain because they both love adrien and want to protect him. so that’s why she agrees to tell everyone the bad guy was a hero. ????
that gabriel/marinette parallel leaves adrien to parallel emilie, which makes sense and is fitting but also just sort of … depressing and again, lowkey effed up. that adrien ends up with the same narrative role as a corpse in a coffin. almost, like, macguffin-esque—a thing that motivates the agents of the story but has no agency itself. despite him being so central to both sides of the main conflict, his decisions don’t affect the outcome. because he doesn’t have the option to make any. because he’s not even present. both gabriel and marinette made a life-altering decision for adrien, thinking it was best for him, without considering that what’s best for him is to know his own story and make his own choices. him getting the rings was somewhat relieving, but it also felt like kind of a slap in the face. because it’s like, “look, adrien’s free! he has his amok and no one can control him anymore!” but, like, how free is a person who is living a lie? will he ever experience true autonomy, or will his life continue to be dictated by the decisions others make for him? will the narrative give him decision-making power or will his role continue to be symbolic?
one thing that makes this all extra dissatisfying is that Adrien literally does not have the option of getting closure with his father, because he’s dead. maybe a dramatic reveal in the middle of the final battle would not be the best way to go about it, but now he can’t have any sort of closure. in the owl house, it didn’t feel necessary for hunter to be present in the belos takedown because he already had his confrontation with belos in graveyard possession scene. belos tried to physically control him, and hunter broke free, and spoke his mind, and as traumatizing at is all was, it was good for him to be able to do that. it would’ve been so nice if adrien also had that opportunity. if he did break free from his father’s control, either by overcoming akumatization or the control of his amok somehow. or if not that, if he were just able to have one honest conversation with his father about emilie. like he did with his alt self in the paris special. it was so significant for the writers that bug noire detransformed and spoke to gabriel as marinette. why couldn’t adrien have done that? Marinette is the one to tell Gabriel that Adrien wouldn’t want him to make the wish and hurt someone else, that Adrien has made peace with his grief, that he has learned to cherish his mother’s memory without living in the past. wouldn’t that be even more powerful coming from adrien himself? if adrien was part of that final confrontation just as himself, we could even still have bug noire play a primary role.
i get that adrien being part of the battle is a risk, since we saw in chat blanc one option of how it could play out. but we also saw in the collector another potential way adrien might respond to learning that his father is hawkmoth—charging into battle by ladybug’s side. especially if he was given time to process the idea beforehand. it’s not impossible. you’d just have to compose the scene and its buildup a different way. so honestly it feels sort of lazy to just remove him for the sake of ease? and also sort of a waste of narrative potential? the villain being the father of one of the main characters is such an interesting plot element. imagine if luke skywalker did not ever face darth vader. if he never even learned that vader was his father. or if he learned that fact after vader’s death, which was the result of a confrontation he was not present for.
of course, i know adrien is not the protagonist. marinette is. and of course i want her to be empowered by the story. but i’m getting a little tired of what i see as kind of cheap feminism in ML. like, girl power for the sake of visibility so the writers can pat themselves on the back about it, if that makes sense? this show does have so much good feminist power with a strong female lead who has realistic flaws and a big heart, who overcomes self-doubt and other struggles, and who has proven time and again to be a smart, capable leader who has earned the trust of everyone on her team. but all of that sometimes feels undercut by the narrative treatment of adrien—like he has to be put down somehow to elevate marinette. ML has subverted gender roles in a lot of ways by having ladybug lead with her brain while chat noir follows with his heart. and adrien has a lot of other strong feminine associations—the focus on his physical appearance, the expectation of perfection and obedience, his soft and gentle nature, his romanticism, etc. And one of the biggest ones is all the ways he is trapped, all the ways he is pushed down and made to be submissive. they even depict him as a princess locked in a tower, with marinette as the knight in shining armor to save him from the evil dragon (his father). with adrien in that traditionally feminine role, it would have been empowering to see him to take a leading part in his own liberation. instead, he was locked away both literally and symbolically in favor of a solo bug noire confrontation, so marinette could look like a girlboss in her cool new outfit, taking on the bad guy all by herself, even when it would (imo) fit better with the themes of the show and her own character arc for her to fight alongside her partner. but as Thomas Astruc said, “She's Barbie, he's Ken. You don't like it. I get it. It won't change. Anything else?” (X) it just makes me feel that the writers cared more about the cinematic value and feminist brownie points of that battle than its narrative significance—which i feel could only be increased by adrien’s participation. “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing” … and that is all adrien was allowed to do.
i think a lot of fans at this point are just assuming that whatever feels dissatisfying/off will be fixed in s6. they’re trusting that the writers have a brilliant master plan that we just have to be patient and wait to see come together. idk, maybe i’m just tired. or a little jaded. i think there will be a lot to enjoy in s6, but i’m also prepared for disappointment. i honestly did not love many elements of s4 as well as s5, and i had expectations that weren’t fulfilled there either. i’ve felt let down by the writers many times now, so i expect that many of their future choices will  not resonate with me. but i still love ML, and I am eager to see how everything will unfold. i’ve also read a lot of other analyses of the s5 finale, and there are great points being made on many sides. this is just my personal interpretation and opinion. i did not like the finale when i first watched it, and after sitting on it for months and trying to evaluate my feelings and look at it logically, i still do not like it lol. if you do, great! this isn’t intended as a personal attack on anyone—just me expressing my two cents, which ended up being more like $20. thanks for bearing with me if you read all this ✌️

About Snake's death
*Edit: I had to edit out a mistake I made, which was that I wrongly assumed the 20+ people Agni hung upside down in London had died! Thank you for letting me know in the comments and apologies for that! The main focus of the post still stands of course, which is to consider and wonder how the rules of justice in Kuro are applied and which are the rules exactly, if there are any. I also couldn't deny myself of adding a few other things, I once again hope you will tolerate my tendency to ramble on too much!*
From what is generally understood, Yana has a penchant for punishing characters for their wrong doings. I'd mentioned before that we can see this in Snake's case with him getting cut in the same side of the neck that Phelps got the snake bite on. It doesn't look like a coincidence, especially knowing how Yana operates in terms of details and foreshadowing. *Edit: I should like to add that Phelps dying was an accident. Snake, although he wanted to kill Smile, really didn't kill Phelps, specifically, on purpose. I've read someone argue that Snake isn't even to blame for the murder as it was a black mamba who killed Phelps, not Snake. I do not share that opinion, simply because he was the one who sent the snake. But it's still an interesting thought to consider as in "what does the author think or consider in this case?"* This being said, it's still a little hard to stomach that Snake should be dealt with in this way. I will try to explain what I mean. He died not even properly acknowledging Doll's presence, nor all his snakes surrounding him. He saw Finny leaving him behind. He died alone in his mind, wondering why he had such a horribly unfair life, treated like an animal, getting tricked and lied to by everyone, not understanding why or having anyone explain anything to him about why he was made a fool by everyone.
As he had just realized he was in the middle of it all, he was killed. He was dead before he could understand what had been happening all this time. Take Agni for instance, one of my dear long time favourite characters. He died a violent death, but at least died peacefully and happy that he got a chance at redeeming himself by doing good and living for Soma, after his sinful past in which he said he'd lived a life of sin in India and that he "hurt a lot of people". He did get sentenced to death but we don't know for certain, if what he'd done included killing. So I will still refrain from taking that into account. *Edit: Here's a link to a separate post I made, explaining why I assumed Agni had killed those people in London*
Tumblr media
So all things considered, why did Agni die with a smile on his face, while Snake died with "why-?" as his last words? Indeed, why..?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder if Yana is also taking into consideration the envenomation of the soldiers in the Emerald Witch arc to up the numbers? If we were to consider this to be Yana's "sword of justice" (haha sounds quite dramatic!), should we expect to see other characters dying such abominable deaths? Because there are so many characters who have killed a lot people and others that have killed some. Starting with the Phantomhive servants and ending with Wolfram, it could be a lengthy list. *Edit: Take Baldroy for example, he likely killed too many to even count. If there's such a concept as a "sword of justice", I dread to even wonder what will happen to him in the end.* Of course, don't consider for a moment that I'm wishing such things! I'm simply entertaining the possibility of this implicit method of justice being employed by the author, if, we were to consider that Snake's death came as a sort of payback for Phelps, that is all. Part of me wishes Snake's death would have been handled with a little more gentleness and grace. As he's such a kind hearted character... he didn't even get the chance to understand what he'd unknowingly gotten dragged into. But alas, this is the Kuroshitsuji universe after all where life's injustices are abound!
Thank you for reading and a virtual hug to all of you who love Snake! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

About the reaction of Gregory in the latest Kuro ep
Here are some theories about his scream and his reaction at the fire. I love that they don't have much background info so we can just say whatever we want. It's not like anyone can tell me I'm wrong ✨ so here is some angst xoxo
I genuinely hope not one of these is true
1) His house burned down
I mean it still happens today, accident happens. So yeah, his house could have burned down. It doesn't matter your age, that would be traumatizing. On top of that, if a fire suddenly spread out, it is possible that some people may have not survived, adding more fear of fire. Anyone, from the servants to his family could have died in a similar accident, maybe he himself barely survived. Of course he wouldn't want anyone to get close to that hell, and will react badly if they try to do it. And you won't really stop to elaborate, especially if you see possibly seeing flashbacks of the scenes you already saw once.
He feels hopeless while staring at the fire and I wouldn't be surprised to see a tiny Gregory looking at the same scene and just be normally scared, a fear that will remain with him for life. It's the other prefects that somehow snap him back to reality, hopefully freeing him from the bad memories.
2) alternative: a friend's house burned down
Basically the same as before, but his house is lucky enough to not be the victim here. Just like Lizzie saw the Phantomhive manor burning down, he could have seen the house of a friend being devoured by the flames. And unlike the previous version... There is no guarantee there was a survivor. In the worst case scenario, he may have seen the people inside being able to run out of the building, but with high degree burns so extended and dangerous that they weren't able to survive. Maybe he had to see his friend/relative/fiancé come out screaming in pain, burned to the point of being unrecognizable, and later watch them die before his eyes without being able to help. And he just doesn't want to go through all of that again. He isn't letting anyone of them go any closer to the fire and put their life at risk.
3) Lost works
He is an artist. He made 4 different sketches (ok one was the labyrinth game BUT STILL) completely different one from each other, in something like 10 minutes? If that's is his average time to create a piece of art, just how many has he made in the years he has been living there? Thousands probably? Some may be silly or stuff that he doesn't like and he was just waiting to throw away, but others may be drawings he cared about, in which he put all of himself. Hell, maybe there are paintings that took him MONTHS or YEARS to make. And they are all vanishing in a single night. All the effort he puts in them, all the memories he saved as a picture, gone. Turned into ashes without him being able to do anything. Everything he has ever worked on burning in front of his eyes. He can't retrieve anything of those and is likely mourning them already. When the other students want to enter he wonders if they will put themselves in danger to maybe retrieve them. I think Edward trying to enter in particular triggered him, maybe the other students don't know him a lot but Edward has been with him for a while now, since he was Herman's fag/drudge. He can't NOT have noticed that Violet spend his time drawing and maybe he even saw some pieces that Violet was proud of. So he knows that the moment Edward steps in the building, he is likely to try to save anything that he can carry out, because it is important to someone out there. But getting any of those works may put him in danger. And therefore, Violet is scared. He is scared there can be other knightly heroes among the students, that will put themselves in danger to retrieve anything they can still save. "I can remake a drawing, but I can't bring you all back to life." and so he tries to stop them. He tries to do it as an introvert that is having a very bad internal crisis and mourning. But he tries, because while he cares of his art, he can't put it above other's people lives.
4) There are nudes
Hopefully I made you laugh with the title. What I mean is: it's their dorm, they have likely decorated it in the best way to suit their taste and expose themselves in the most true way they can. It's their place and they can be themselves in there. But they are aware they are considered the "weirdos" of the school. Some probably don't care but some may have decided to be truly themselves only inside the comfort of the house. This could also be true for Violet himself. So not only you are watching your home burning down, but now the same strangers that made fun of you, made you feel badly about themselves, want to enter? And potentially learn more secrets about the poeple that lived there? What they cherished and didn't want to share because they didn't feel comfortable to show? It would all be there in plain sight for anyone to see. And so Violet screams at them to not enter. The house can burn down for all he care, but he will let the precious secrets burn down with it so that none of them will have to risk their reputation at school (and later outside) because of him.

With all this talk on tiktok about the WGs plans I thought about what if the starwhats failed? What if they all died? But that's not the end of thire story most of them get a second shot. (I'll only be talking about the east blue crew plus one extra in this post will do a second post when I figure out the others.
First, Sanji awakens right before him and Zeff are saved from the rock. For a while, he was so sure that everything was just a dream or a hallucination. That is until he receives a call from an old friend a few years later.
Nami was the next to awaken. The first thing she did as soon as she could was to try and reach out to someone she knew. She managed to get ahold hold of a den den mushi and called sanji. They began to spend time together discussingand planing the future, what they would do if they were the only onces awake. She even hid someone of her treasure and extra maps with him for safe keeping. The two of them wouldn't be strong enough at thire ages to take down arlong Park by themselves.
Usopp is the next to awaken, he wants to stop kuro but knows that he has no chance at it right now. He bangs working on becoming stronger (like during the 2yrs apart) he has to belive he firneds exsit or eles.
Zoro is the last one, he wakes tied to a post in shells town. The universe didn't want him getting lost so they kept him right where Luffy would find him.
Luffy never wakes up, Luffy is the same Luffy from before and the only statwhat to not return to the past. (Someone else did, though
Law instead of Luffy went back in time. But not too far he is with his crew in thire submarine.
Everyone works hard to get stronger so they don't all die again. This time, they know the future and how to prevent some of the tragedies the witnessed in the past.

Kinktober Week Two-- Kuro
Prompt: Sex Toys
Warnings: ok, this one does get some warning for some hints of sadomasochism, possibly exhibitionism, and you know. Being sexually explicit.
You were regretting everything. Your knees were weak as you leaned against the wall, trying to control your breathing and not let any kind of noises escape
(Phone won't load gifs, reusing this one)
Tumblr media
You were regretting everything. Your knees were weak as you leaned against the wall, trying to control your breathing and not let any kind of noises escape.
But god was it hard.
The small vibrator nestled against your clit buzzed, slowly then growing faster before slowing once more. As if wherever he was, Klahadore was lazily playing with the control in his pocket.
You would kill him for this. Nevermind you had fully agreed to it and had been excited at the thought. This was pure torture. Fuck. You were so wet it was making it better/worse.
"Are you okay?" Kaya's soft voice called out, breaking you from your thoughts. You opened your eyes briefly, your gaze landing on the young lady of the manor, looking rather worried as she leaned on Klahadore's arm.
Speaking of the fucking devil. You bit back a whimper as the vibration suddenly ramped up all the way, knees buckling for a short moment before you caught yourself.
"F-fine, my lady," you gasped out as the sensation suddenly died away, allowing you to catch your breath.
"Nonsense. You look absolutely feverish and you can barely stand! Why are you trying to work when you're so ill?"
Because apparently you were dating a sadomasochist. (Or maybe that was you?)
"You're quite right, miss Kaya. If you wouldn't mind," Klahadore spoke in that silk voice of his, sounding just as worried as the young woman. As if he didn't know exactly why you were in such a state. "I think it would be best if perhaps I helped her to her room."
Your stomach twisted at the thought, your mind instantly thinking of sweet relief. Yet at the same time, the look in Klahadore's dark eyes promised just as much pain as pleasure. (The fact it was lowkey exciting you was not something you were going to address.)
"Absolutely," Kaya agreed before you could even think to protest however weakly. "I can take care of myself for a few minutes."
The damn thing ramped up once more suddenly, and you couldn't stop the scream as you knees buckled. Klahadore was quick enough to catch you before you hit the floor, his arm wrapping around your waist as he helped you stand.
"Oh. I'm worried it may take more than a few minutes."
-*-
The second the vibrator was pulled from between your wet folds, you breathed a sigh of relief.
"Look at how wet you are," Klahadore purred, slipping his hands from his gloves before sliding two fingers into you. You bit back a moan, head arching back as he curled his fingers into that sensitive spot. "You looked so pitiful earlier; a poor little kitten barely able to stand. It's a good thing our lady is so naive, hmm?"
"Fuck, please, Klahadore!" You whined as his fingers moved slowly--an agonizing snail pace that was driving you crazy. This why you both love and hated this man--he loved to torture you in the best of way, pushing and finding your breaking point and the fucking edging it.
A cat playing with a mouse.
"Only because Kaya is no doubt waiting impatiently." He pulled his finger from you, taking his time to lick the slick from his digits as if it was a delectable treat while his other hand worked on the fastening of his pants. "Now, no coming until I say so, understood? Or I'll have to punish you again."

vampires as a symbol of grieving
not grief itself, no
grieving
of people who don't know how to move on, of people who have been swallowed by despair
the first vampire created was an orphan from a small village, abandoned by everyone and then revived by a stranger who desperately dug up his grave
he was named Sleepy Ash to reject the funeral prayer "earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust" he's not dead, you see. just sleeping.
he was given this eternal life in exchange of the lives of the villagers. he grieves and mourns them even to this day. and because it's his fault, because he's a monster, never once he thought to grieve for himself. and so his grieving hasn't ended, because nobody mourns the death of the human before he was the first vampire.
until finally mahiru grieves for adam the human who died, so sleepy ash can finally move on as the vampire called kuro.
there is a vampire called world's end who takes no kin of his own because he refuses to acknowledge his grief. he lies to himself that he doesn't need other people, that he raged because he has a principle to uphold. he never stops to think that his principle stems from his grief. do not harm the weak, because he was a man who failed to protect the weak.
until finally nicco grieves for the little girl sacrificed to revive the gladiator slave, so ildio can finally fight for the people he loves.
there is a vampire who drowned in the sin of lust. he takes in the dying children and raised them with love untouched by lust. these children will grow into adults that will define him as their angel and savior.
he feeds the dead children his blood to give them a second chance at a happy childhood. these children are the symbol of grieving. grieving for the robbed future, for children who will never get to become an adult. but it's alright. one day they will make the choice to walk under the sunlight on their own, when they are finally satisfied and ready to move on.

Servamp chapter 128 translation "ashes to ashes"
Tumblr media
READ ON MANGADEX
NOTES
Oh my God...This chapter...more like, one particular page. I spent days trying to figure out the meaning and I still probably don't understand. Maybe I'll talk about it on the stream for chapter 130 because it might not make sense in writing...
Okay, here are some notes because there were words that had furigana and some of them I couldn't write on the pages.
Tumblr media
In this panel the furigana for 思い出全部 (all 'the' memories) is 名前すら (not even names), so based on the first reading, the line can also be translated as "If/When someone dies, not all memories disappear".
Page 29
This one...This is the one I had so much trouble with. Do I understand the lines from the first panel? Probably not. I've tried for days to make sense of them, because I understand that line in different ways. First of all, I can't even say what is "The darkness of someday". Is he referring to himself and the other demons or something else? My God, I broke down this sentence, like "Ok, this seems to be subject, this is the action, but then there's this grammar part...WTF is going on here, what are u saying man?!" 😭 I spent days on that line and like I said, I might try to talk about it on stream because maybe it's better if you hear me explain rather than writing about it. Okay, so there's another thing that has to do with furigana. I didn't write on the page because a word that has furigana only once, appears a few times with its regular reading and that's the word 悪魔 "demon". In the second panel in the speech bubble on the left, ぼくら "we" is the furigana for 悪魔 the rest of the times where the word demons appear, it's only that reading, so I didn't want people to think that InnerKuro's actual word in the last panel could have been something like "We (ぼくら) are in every person".
Tumblr media
Page 30.
Tumblr media
Here we have the word 感情 "emotions/feelings" with the furigana ぼく (first person pronoun "I"), but only in the second, third and fourth panels, the first time where it says "ugly feelings", it's only that reading. Previously on page 28, Kuro said "these helpless and uncontrollable emotions" and given how the word is associated with InnerKuro here, Kuro could have implied "You (InnerKuro/emotions) are also a part of me." InnerKuro's last line sounds weird because he doesn't simply say "I will protect you". きみの一番大切なきみを守るものだ。 Like if I were to translate literally, it would be something like "I will protect your most important/precious you" There's a possessive there and it's きみのきみ It sounds weird and it's possible that Tanaka sensei is fuckin with us because the word きみ "kimi" that usually means "you", there are other words that have the same pronunciation and look at that, there is 気味 and looking in the dictionary, its synonymous with 感情 "emotions/feelings". I hope that the way I translated makes sense... Last page.
Tumblr media
The sentence is here is also weird like the previous one and it needs explaining. I tried my best to convey it's meaning. 親愛なる and 愛をこめて are phrases that can be used when writing letters for example, the first part can be "Dear" (friend or whoever you're addressing) and the last part is "with love/affection" 親愛なるすべてのきみへ、愛をこめて。
The weird part about the sentence is すべてのきみ again we have きみ which means "you" and the phrase translates as "all of you" and you can see how I tried to translated in such a way to make it clear that it's only about one person, because saying "all of you", could be interpreted that it's about more people. The phrase is saying something like "your whole being/ all that makes you" So, the way I translated might sound weird but hopefully I managed to convey the meaning.

small things that makes me obsessed with sekiro
- tengu (isshin) telling sekiro that shinobis always die alone with no one to cry or pray for them, but after purification ending, when sekiro dies, emma is spotted by his grave, praying for him
- wolf telling kuro he's relieved to see him well after owl's fight and worrying about the small cut with the mortal blade
- kuro having allergies to dust
- wolf usually gets understood as a rude person for being quiet, but he actually is very, very sweet and care for other people:
1. he immediately offers emma his help to cure dragonrot
2. he gets concerned when both isshin and sculptor are sick
3. he always thanks emma for helping him
4. even in side quests, he offers nice words or some ways of comfort when someone needs (kotaru and o'rin crying, by example)
- emma probably was more closer to genichiro than it seems at first sight, she has plenty memories with him as they grew together
- emma and sekiro deciding to find another way to end immortality without killing kuro but once she finds sekiro must die in his place, she lies to sekiro so he won't die SEVERAL TIMES
1. emma tells sekiro she will go to takeru and tomoe's grave to try and remember something so they can save kuro; when sekiro finds her there she lies to him for the first time, at this point she remembered tomoe tried to k!ll herself to save takeru, when sekiro asks if she did remember something she says "nothing"
2. at sculptor's temple you can hear them talking and she implies she will not tell sekiro the truth because if she does, he will die. at this point, she actively knows that hiding that from him, means that kuro will die in his place. she's making a choice here.
3. when you first talk to her after that, she will lie straight up to sekiro's face once again! she says "nothing, nothing at all" with full knowledge that lie it'll imply kuro's death. it's your choice confronting her about the truth, but she alredy made hers.

Sakuya's gonna be real lucky considering he probably drinks Mahiru's blood once in a while. (But he probably wouldn't realize it he would probably just be like "of course this blood is delicious, it's Mahiru's and everything about Mahiru is amazing)
Since Sakuya drinks blood like any other vampire via having to attack humans in secluded areas, blood-bags or blood-bags, he absolutely would notice. Mage blood is better than normal human blood and yes Sakuya has likely tasted his fair share but I do think Eve blood would knock the socks off any subclass.
I think it'd be a lot funnier if nobody knew the blood of an Eve was so much better because no subclass had the balls to try to feed off of an Eve or died trying.
I don't even think any of the Servamps would have known. Mahiru is Kuro's first Eve and any blood he had tasted was both hundreds of years ago and in a time where he'd absolutely dread it regardless of anything so Mahiru is the only blood he's had that was at a time he could properly take. He wouldn't have been able to tell the difference because of the gap in time. And Tsubaki is the only one whose never had a (human) Eve and feeds off mage and human blood-bags like his subclass.
The rest of the Servamps all have had Eve's one after another and get their blood pretty much exclusively from them and the taste of any non-Eve blood they may have found in their mouth would probably have been cast aside simply because it was unwanted or they weren't in good states.
So Mahiru is like. The first Eve to actually offer his blood to a subclass and it's Sakuya. Kuro wouldn't have any problem with it as long as neither of them get actually hurt in the process and all the other Servamps are just "Good for them".
So I think it'd be great if Sakuya finally tried and nearly passed out after he was pulled away because he just tasted the equivalent of vampire ambrosia. The reaction would make Mahiru worry, poor thing www
But also the next time Sakuya feeds like he normally does without Mahiru he can barely stand it because it doesn't even come close. His tastebuds are fucked like Kirito and Asuna in that episode of SAO abridged lol

Toichi reason for not telling kaito he is alive.
I havent watched the movie nore can i give facts but i have a theory which i want to share.
Toichi talked with vermouth ( his student ) about the possibility of dying to the organisation. No one man Crew can win alone against them. So she invited him to become part of the Black organisation and make it a organisation fight. This leaves him better option of winning. He agrees but doesnt want his family knowing he became a true criminal. In his eyes this necessary evil killed the consept of toichi and made him someone else, toichi personality truelly died.
The black organisation could have risen thanks to toichi and vermouth. By getting Mission and resurces who were original going into the animal organisation. It used toichi knowledge of them as own Inspiration ( code names ). The idea is to weaken the animal one and become necessary for the alcohol one. Once they destroyed the first they can destroy the second from inside. Worst case senaryio they can control the organisation to At least not be that violent as they could be. Control of the dark side which would exist no Matter what, to be an necessary evil only, an evil for the greater good. They can even keep locking for gems with this consept.
Toichi doesnt want his son to know he is good friends with an criminal boss ( like vermouth since they helped together ). Nore does he want him to be part of them.
This would explain his reason. His relationship with vermouth get some use. Why the organisation are so similar but not the same. Why the animal one got weaker after toichi death and came back only 8 years later. And why there is a Black kaito kid.
The reveal could come once Shinichi fights the black organisation and stands face to face against toichi. It could make the whole taken them down even harder because now it is about family. Kid has to decide if his father way and becoming an even bigger criminal for the greater good ( like he decides to become kid for revenge ) is his destiny. Or does he stop with everything and follows the part of Shinichi.
Considering his deception skills and name of kuroba which kuro meaning black. He could even turn out to be the boss. That is why the boss liked vermouth and why she is activly helping conan. The boss is okay with her beeing good just nobody else in the organisation knows this. They even plan for Shinichi to win against them.
What a plot twist and family fight.
Of curse no evidence only coneccting of existing facts with no real evidence. But it could happen because no facts stand against this theory.
Bonus:
Shinichi could become head of the police and kaito the new boss of the organisation. Control of the good and evil forces for the good of everyone. Like the anime bongou stray dogs had going on. The organisation could have kaito, vermouth, jii, phantom lady, cat Noire and maybe akako as members. They are all criminals who are not evil and are friends with kaito. He build up conecctions to the underworld so why not use that.

Omg!
Really loved the idea of East blue asylum. I have a few questions about it! (If you are willing to hear me out of thought about it, haha) First. Is Sabo really dead or is something like in the Canon where Luffy (and Ace before whatever happened to him) thought he was, but he actually wasn't? (A part of me would love the latter, but the first scenario is also very plausible). Second, I'm wondering about the other East blue villains? We know about Arlong, but the rest? (This isn't me asking about Buggy, of course not, haha)
(Thought I have an idea about the clown also related with Shanks because Shuggy: He was previously interned right after Roger's death, and with help he was able to recover. Maybe that was the reason Shanks recommended the place to intern Luffy in first place, giving him his straw hat and assuring him they've seen each other again once he fully recovered, making a parallelism with the Canon. Now the clown (like Franky) is a volunteer that helps whenever he could and Luffy loves to bicker with him because of his funny reaction about his red nose.)
Anyway! You can take it or not! He could also be a patient, I think that could work too!
Thanks for sharing the idea!
Oh! I'm happy you liked it!
Sabo is considered dead in this au, and just like in the series, both Luffy and Ace had a hard time coping with it and could "see him" from time to time. Losing a second brother down the line was what made him snap. And although I kept Ace's death like in canon, I moved it around a bit to make it the reason to trigger Luffy's disorders. And the series starts when he comes into the hospital.
In reality, Sabo isn't really dead. He almost died in a house fire but by the time they rescued him he had hit his head and gotten temporary amnesia. He grew up trying to remember who he was and by the time he did, he felt like he abandoned his brothers and felt like he couldn't barge back into their lives. Luffy was going to become a firefighter because of what happened to Sabo and Ace was volunteering for safety patrols. They had entire lives that he was no longer part of, but he just couldn't resist going to the funeral. Good thing he managed to outrun his brother.
(for people with no context: here)
Technically, keeping Sabo dead would make more sense in the real world, but I think it'd be more interesting and a bit more sad if he wasn't and Luffy kept seeing him. The first time he saw him was a bit before Ace's death. He told his big brother but he just went "I know, I sometimes see him as well... Like a mirage of the kid we used to love," but Luffy's just like "No, I saw him as an adult! He was real!" And it was a bit concerning but they decided, oh well, he's been a bit of an odd child anyway. But then Ace died and Luffy ruined the funeral because he was supposedly chacing his other brother. It was bad enough that he went in a state of shock for a full three days, but this was too much... Everyone keeps telling him that they're both dead. Accidents happen. But he refuses to believe it and slowly starts creating this makeshift world to fit the trauma of losing his family.
It got worse when he found out he got admitted into a facility. I believe he goes to visit him later on under a fake name, but tells him that he can't tell anyone he's alive. He said it mainly because he knew they'd probably think he was losing progress and double his pills.
As for the rest of the villains (Buggy)... The marines are just guards who won't let him leave - or in Luffy's eyes, suppressing his freedom. (Except for Garp, he's just his grandpa and he's in the military in real life as well. He comes to visit his grandson whenever he can but it's very painful for him.) Axehand Morgan is just an asshole guard who got fired for abusive behavior. His son had the same internship that Koby did and they both left after a while but would come back after some time later.
For captain Kuro, I think he'd just be one of Usopp's lies. Maybe he was an ex of Kaya's (before Usopp came along) who used her for her money and he told this big story about how he tried to kill everyone and how he saved the day and was all heroic for Kaya and sent him running for the hills. Luffy liked it so much that he put his own little spin on it and added himself to the story.
As for Buggy, I honestly didn't really think about it. But if I had to, I initially thought he could be a patient, but I didn't like that, so I thought "Maybe a guard", but that wasn't fitting either. But I think I got it! What would make a kid believe someone is a rival, become an ally, back to annoying kinda rivals and so on and so forth? Well I think one of his favorite uncle's exes would do just fine.
Outside of Luffy's world, Shanks and Garp have a normal relationship of tough love, the only thing Garp blames him for is spoiling Luffy and Ace too much. The boys have lived with Shanks for a long time and had seen a lot of his love life. His first love - Buggy, who was a part-time clown for kids' parties. Makino - who was Luffy's favorite because she would cook him tasty food, unlike Shanks who only ordered takeout. Mihawk - the cool goth, who was neurodivergent, (so is Luffy) so there was a kind of unspoken bond there. And then Buggy again.
In my mind, Shanks ran back to him after Ace's death for comfort. Buggy, now grown with a real job and no longer a part-time clown, stayed in Luffy's mind the evil clown who loved money and that's why he broke Shanks's heart. (Or that's how he saw it...)
...
But then I read yours as well and I liked it! I like the idea of him getting help after Roger's death. I think that maybe him or a parental figure were afraid that he was too emotional and could potentially get depressed. So he went to see a psychiatrist and they decided it's best to take him in for a little while, just to make sure he handles grief in a healthy way that wouldn't be harmful to himself or people around him. Maybe that's why he broke up with Shanks. But he was too embarrassed to tell him that he had such a hard time handling death, so he lied about it. He lied and made up a different reason to leave.
And now that I think about it, this - him knowing how hard loss can be, could be the reason why he was so willing to welcome Shanks again. Because he's been there and he knows that it hurts less if there's someone next to you and he wants to be next to Shanks.
Thanks for the ask! I'd love answering any other additional questions if you or anyone has :))

I want to reiterate part of the reason why I also think Our!Ciel's birth-name possibly being "Finnian" is a good choice for the narrative, is because it's a name he would have put in the effort to make sure that he couldn't take back for himself. By giving it to someone else. And thus he can continue to be Ciel Phantomhive. If his mother chose this namesake in part because it represents freedom, then he's free to chose the path he wants to take. It's his right to give the name to someone else, his right to choose the path he's on, even if it's dark... It's still his choice. If he ends up doing something incredible that happens to benefit some in his pursuit for his revenge, that's an added bonus but not necessary... I think that's quite powerful. In addition, the Reaper world chooses to put birth-names of the dead on their records... their policies do not account for names someone has taken up for identity reasons (demonstrated by Agni). That doesn't make it right, though. Someones birth name doesn't mean it's their 'real' name... a point that seems to come up often, in this story for multiple characters. There's some misinformation now and then, about the origin of a 'deadname' that I see circulate once in a while. A deadname isn't called that because the name is "dead to the person" ... it's called that because queer people knew when they died and were buried, their "deadname" would be on their grave. Hence why some people say 'birthname,' instead.
If Finnian-the-gardener dies... and he truly doesn't HAVE a birthname he'll be "Test Subject Zwölf," on the Reaper's books. That lives rent free in my head, constantly... I don't think our!Ciel would be too happy about it... I don't think Finnian would be happy about it... and I don't think that's what would be on his gravestone if our!Ciel gets a say in it. This reaper-policy plainly adds to the element of how impersonal, bureaucratic, and cold the process of someone dying and being collected actually is, in Kuro's universe by these Death Gods. Its all being run as a corporation. Reapers accept their orders and do as they're told and adhere to the policies, or else. Is it any wonder that after a while, one of them just... snaps? Like Undertaker, like Grelle?
