Cryptid Doodle February
Hello, my delightful monster-lovers!
It is true that January is a Monday of the year, at least to me. It’s a little later, I know, but I’m once again launching a Doodle Event here!
My fantastic Patrons have chosen the theme for this month. And it’s...
CRYPTID REDESIGNS
Send me a character and an ORIGINAL cryptid creature idea for me to redesign! Cans collecting cryptid? Rainbow smoke cryptid? Wardrobe cryptid that eats your socks when you clean their favorite spot? Your pick!
Rules:
1. Be nice to me! Say hello! Tell me something about yourself! Connect with me! I don’t want to feel like a cheap art printer, so please, make me feel even a little appreciated for what I’m doing.
2. Please stick to original ideas and don’t reuse the already known and famous cryptids. For those who might have trouble coming up with ideas, I’ve found some generators here and here that might help.
3. One character per ask, one cryptid per ask. If you’re not certain which configuration you want, ask your friends or ask your local cryptid for help.
4. Tell me what this cryptid does and why. Do they hang out in dark alleys to scare off cats in the most time-appropriate moments? Do they sit in front of the local mall and hand out pamphlets that are all black but nobody dares to throw them out? Do they sneeze glitter? Go wild!
5. No OCs, no obscure AUs. Redesigning is already a lot of work, please don’t make me do additional time on research.
6. FANDOMS I’M FAMILIAR WITH AND I’M WILLING TO DRAW FOR:
She-Ra reboot
Deltarune, and Undertale (Original™️, Underfell, Underswap, Swapfell, Horrortale, Outertale, Outerfell, Seaswap, Lilytale, and Humanswitch)
Homestuck in the purest vanilla form without PQ, Epilogues and the likes (yes PLEASE)
7. Make sure to be clear which character from which franchise you have in mind.
The asks that brake those teeny-tiny rules will be fed to the Void. And she’s always hungry.
Doodles will be posted as often as I can this month. Gotta get back in the routine.
The tag for the event is #cryptid doodle february for those who want to follow it OR who want to blacklist it.

SODA-pressing
Pairing: Bakugou x Koge (OC) (Pre-Relationship)
Koge’s Tag
Rating: Teen, for cursing
Word Count: 2,691
“Ah, Koge! What a surprise! I didn’t know you were back already. Katsuki said you were moving back here for High School, but he never told me when.”
Koge gave a small nod to the woman she basically considered to be her second mother, feeling a bit of nervous nausea bubble about in her stomach. Mitsuki hadn’t changed at all, the wide and welcoming smile on her face reminding Koge of her childhood years before she had left this street to go live with her mother. “Hello, I’m sorry for just dropping by. I just finished moving my stuff back into my Dad’s house, and I just couldn’t resist coming over. I probably should have texted Katsuki first.” Mitsuki waved her hand dismissively in the air, one hand on her hip. “Nonsense! That brat will be happy you’re here. You wouldn’t believe how much he whined when you originally moved, he sometimes still complains about it!”
Feeling a bit of heat rush to her cheeks, Koge was about to respond when Mitsuki suddenly yelled up the stairs, startling her a bit. “Katsuki!!” Silence followed the boom of her voice, making Koge shuffle nervously in her spot as she waited. Mitsuki called again, louder this time, finally gaining a just as loud response.
“What do you want?! I’m trying to fucking study, can’t I get a second of peace?!”
Mitsuki clicked her tongue, both hands on her hips now as she glared up at the staircase. “Don’t you talk to me that way, Katsuki! Get your ass down here right now!” Koge could only imagine the anger on his face, nibbling on the inside of her cheek to try and keep herself from giggling. She didn’t always approve of the way Bakugou and his mother interacted, but there was little to nothing that could be done about it, at least from her. The house being blown up was something she had seen quite a few times, along with furniture being destroyed and the like. Still, she got along well with Mitsuki, just as she got along with her hot headed son.
After the sound of a door slamming against the wall, Bakugou could be seen making his way down the stairs, stomping so hard Koge thought his feet would go right through them. “Do you have fucking bugs in your ears, you hag! I said I was fucking studying!” His glare was locked on his mother, not even bothering to look at the open door or who stood just outside it. Mitsuki didn’t falter, though she did point a finger at the silently waiting Koge. “I don’t care! I told you to come down here for a reason! You have company!”
Growling, Bakugou ignored her pointing, leaning over the stairway railing. “Tell them to go away! I’m studying for the UA exams and for regular shitty tests!”
“Katsuki?”
Both yelling blondes were a bit shocked at the sudden soft voice, their attention instantly pulled to Koge. Her cheeks flushed at the sudden attention, glancing between the two as Bakugou started to make his way down the stairs. “Eh? Koge?” His use of her first name brought a smile to her lips, watching as he hopped down the last few steps and made his way towards the door. “What are you doing here? I didn’t know you were back already.”
Koge shifted nervously in the doorway, glancing between Bakugou and his mother. The urge to just jump on him and hug him was nearly unbearable, but she kept her composure, not entirely sure how Bakugou felt about her after a whole year of not seeing her in person. “I’m sorry if I interrupted your studying. I just got back a few hours ago. I thought I’d come see how your stinky face is doing.” She stifled a giggle as his glare returned, watching as he snatched onto the still open door. “You did, Utsuro!”
Ah, there it was. Utsuro. Damn, she loved that.
“I can’t let you beat me by getting into UA without me!” Bakugou snapped at her, his tone sharp and competitive. Still nervous, Koge let her insecurities bubble over, head hanging just a tad. “Oh… I see. I can always come back later, then.” She must have sounded or looked pathetic, because Bakugou growled, stepping back and pointing towards the staircase. “No, just come in! You could have at least fucking texted first.” With a quick, small bow to Mitsuki, Koge walked inside, stopping at the entryway to remove her shoes. Bakugou shut the door once she was inside, waiting beside her with his hands shoved into his pant pockets. Koge couldn’t help but to glance at him, feeling a bit embarrassed that he was in sweatpants and a tank top.
He’s gotten ripped… What have I missed. And he’s so much taller than me now! In just a year! Fourteen year old turd… I’m fifteen, I should be taller.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Mitsuki, who smiled at Koge as she looked up at her. “You’re always welcome, Koge. I’m sure Katsuki is happy to see you,” Her smile turned into a strained grin as her glare moved to her son, who Koge could already feel trembling in annoyance. “And is more than happy to treat you hospitably. Right, Katsuki?” The way she said his name was as sharp as a knife, and before Koge could even get her slippers on, Bakugou snatched her by the wrist and started to drag her towards the stairs. “Shut up, you hag!”
Koge stumbled just a bit, but was able to regain her footing as they reached the stairs, a bit surprised at how hot his palm had been against her skin. As his hands went back into his pockets, she kept her eyes on his back, feeling that heat return to her cheeks. Man, he has been working hard… I can see it.
“Damn it, Utsuro,” He hissed at her, quiet so his mother didn’t hear. “You always had the worst timing for showing up.”
“Sorry, Katsuki,” Koge responded softly as well, noticing his shoulders relax a bit. “I just couldn’t resist coming over… I missed you a lot.” His back heaving with a sigh, Bakugou gave a small shake of his head, turning into what Koge knew to be the game room. “Don’t worry about it.”
Koge took a moment to glance around, taking in the familiar surroundings. Nothing had changed, except for a new larger television and a different throw blanket resting on the back of the couch. So many wonderful memories in this place, and as Bakugou turned face her, she couldn’t help but to be overwhelmed with happiness. A smile stretched across her lips as she watched him, finding his bashfulness to be adorable, even as he tried to hide it. The fact that he was rubbing the back of his neck and refusing to look at her was evidence enough of his embarrassment, though Koge decided not to tease him on it.
“Uhm--”
“Can I give you a hug, Katsuki?”
It was all she could think of to ask. There was this awkwardness between them, nearly palpable, and she wanted it to be gone. A hug, she figured, would break that barrier and hopefully bring them to how they had been. Such a simple action was hardly intimate compared to the way they used to be, as far as intimacy could go for their age in a platonic relationship. Hell, Mitsuki even trusted them enough to share a bed up until Koge had to move any time she would stay over. Not once did the two even consider each other in a romantic way, or at least, Koge had assumed so. If he had, he was too embarrassed or reluctant to say anything, which she completely understood. Koge loved this boy, as a best friend would, and she could only hope they could fix what she had broken.
She could still see the expression on his face when she told him that she was moving to live with her mother, hours away. It had upset him, badly, and there had been a while where he wouldn’t answer her texts or computer messages. Eventually, his bitterness faded and he accepted her attempts at contact, though school made it difficult for them to do anything but text. She still treasured every second of it, even if he had been difficult and distant.
After the initial shock of her question, Bakugou scoffed and glowered down at her, a light pink hue rising up in the tips of his ears. “Huh? Why the fuck are you asking me? You’ve never asked before--”
Koge took the hinted permission gladly, latching her arms around him tightly and shoving her face into his chest. She hadn’t realized how much she had missed his warmth, her stomach fluttering violently at the feeling of his returned embrace. One hand on the back of her head and the other around her torso, she couldn’t help but smile against his shirt as he stroked her hair. “I’m so happy to see you, Katsuki…”
The small grunt she received in response was typical, though it was still enough to bring happy butterflies to her stomach. Though, they began to frantically flutter about at the sound of Mitsuki’s voice, rushing up the stairs and slamming into them as if it were a tangible object.
“Katsuki! That door better stay open, you hear me!”
Instantly, Bakugou shoved Koge off of him, pushing her back a bit and quickly removing his hands from her. They quickly found their way back into his pockets, cheeks bright red as he screamed back at her. “Shut up! I’m not an idiot!”
Sputtering at first, Koge began to giggle, finding his reaction and sudden flustered state to be absolutely adorable. “Oh man… Well, we’re not little kids anymore, I guess.” She beamed up at him, moving her arms to rest behind her back. In his attempt to not seem as embarrassed as he was, Bakugou scoffed and looked away, eyes landing on the small mini-fridge they kept up stairs. “Tch, I guess… You want a fucking soda or something?”
“Sure!” Koge chirped happily, following him over to it. “Y’know, I haven’t had a soda in a long time. Since I’m here, might as well cheat a little.” Bakugou knelt down by the small fridge, looking up at her with a curious glare. “No? Why?”
“Well, I’ve been training really hard to get into UA. So to stay fit, no sweets or soda. I’ve even doubled my work out and martial arts practice! You’d be surprised.”
Bakugou gave a small click of his tongue as he opened the small fridge, only to find that it was void of the sustenance they craved. “Me? Surprised?” Standing, he shut the fridge with his foot, starting back towards the door to the hallway. “I have to go downstairs to get it. Just stay here.”
“No, I’ll come!” Koge trotted after him, ignoring the glare that told her to stay put. She knew why, but his reluctance for her to talk to his parents wasn’t going to deter her. If she were to follow, his plan to sneak in and sneak out of the kitchen would fail, as Koge could never resist a conversation, and he knew he would get dragged into it. “No, just stay here,” Bakugou hissed at her, beginning his trek down the stairs. “I’m just gonna grab you one and come back.”
“Too late, I’m already following you.” Koge stayed at his heels, refusing to let him out of her sight for a minute. “Besides, I haven’t seen your parents in so long, I’d like to talk to them.”
“Of course you would… Then you’ll spend your whole time here yapping away!” Bakugou glowered at her over his shoulder. “If you’re going to waste my studying time, then it needs to be wasted doing shit with me!”
Koge couldn’t help but to snicker, poking him in the back. “Ooh, is that jealousy I hear? I think it is!” Bakugou hopped down the last few steps to flee her touch, rushing into the kitchen to hopefully get the soda before she could get in. “Fuck off!” Koge’s slippers were too big for her to be able to mimic him, knowing she would fall flat on her face if she tried to jump that far. “Hey, come back!” As soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she quickly made her way after him, only vaguely hearing his mother snap at him for running in the house.
Right as Koge reached the entrance to the kitchen, Bakugou slammed into her in his haste, abandoning the two soda cans in his grip in favor of his reflexes to catch her. “Utsuro, what the fu-- GAH!”
Koge squealed as both soda cans burst open from the impact of landing on the floor, spraying the two teenagers with the sticky liquid and coating the tile flooring. As she hid in Bakugou’s chest, she could only hear the gasp that came from Mitsuki, followed by the typical rage.
“Katsuki! What did you do?! Look at that mess!”
“Fuck, it wasn’t me, I didn’t--”
“I’m sorry, it was me!” Koge pushed herself up to look at Mitsuki over Bakugou’s shoulder, her cheeks flushing. “I wasn’t paying attention, I should have waited like he told me to.” She stepped back from Bakugou as he released her, watching as he shook his arms to rid himself of the soda. “Yeah, you fucking should have. Look at this mess-- HEY!” He was interrupted as a towel was suddenly thrown over his head, another being tossed to Koge, who caught it normally.
“Aw Koge hun, it wasn’t your fault. This big oaf never looks were he’s going, he always has his eyes on the floor. I told you to look up when you’re walking, Katsuki!”
Bakugou ripped the towel off his head, glaring back at his mother. “Oh shut up--”
“Oh my god, I look like I had diarrhea all over myself.”
Once again, Koge’s soft voice interrupted the yelling, mother and son looking at her in bewilderment. Koge had her eyes on her backside, looking over her shoulder, white leggings stained brown from her butt all the way down her legs. Noticing the silence, she quickly looked up, glancing between the two of them. “What? It’s true.”
Mitsuki began to laugh, walking over to playfully put her arm around her son's shoulders, smirk on her face. “Oh Katsuki, I think you got yourself a keeper! What a hoot!” Bakugou was quick to shrug her off, using the towel to wipe his skin and clothes as dry as he could. “S-shut up, you old hag! Utsuro is stupid, who the fuck even says something like that!!” Red faced, Bakugou refused to look at either of them, though Koge was in her own embarrassed stupor.
A keeper?
Was she really insinuating…?
“No way, Katsuki,” Mitsuki watched her son clean up the floor with her hands on her hips, wide smirk across her face. “Koge is the only girl who can even stand to be around you more than five seconds. You’re definitely getting married.”
The only response was an explosion from Bakugou’s clenched fists, turning the towel into smoldering embers. “Can’t you ever just shut up!” His glare was broken by another towel being handed down towards him, from Koge. “H-here,” She spoke in a shaking voice, face bright red and still in shock from what Mitsuki had said. “Use this one. I’ll get another.” Bakugou glared up at her in silence before he ripped the fresh towel from her hands, handing her the ruined one without a word. As he went back to cleaning, Mitsuki nodded in approval, taking the towel from Koge to trash it, heading back into the kitchen. “Mhmm! Already totally whipped!”
“Katsuki… I think your mother wants us to date.”
“She can go fucking shove it! Get your ass down here and help me!”
“I.. don’t have a towel, Katsuki.”
“Then lick it up!”
“... Okay, I’ll do that. Not. Hey, you want to know something?”
“What....”
“Seeing you down on the ground sure is SODA-pressing. Get it?”
“I hate you.”
