Personally, I think it'd be cool if more disparities between demis and humans were shown. Obvi they're more durable, yeah, but what about them having trouble controlling their superhuman strength or accidentally lifting something that would be way too heavy for any mortal.

2: thoughts on freakouts and loss of control.

Personally, I love a good superhuman freakout. You're telling me these kids are under constant stress and not once have any of their powers gone out of control? Give me storms, give me launching things across the room in a fit of rage, give me explosions of pure, unbridled power when someone at school pushes them just a bit too far on a bad day.

OKOKOK, imma start off with the fact that normal human medication and its dosage just- doesn't work for demigods. Their bodies are different and thus take care of things like sickness and injury faster. So medication often isn't needed, and when it is you'd have to administer a significantly lot more than for a normal mortal. They also tend to form quicker and stronger bonds. It is a bit inspired by human evolution and how we became so social based on the hostile environment, for demigods that environment is even WORSE so their instincts and group drive are stronger. It's easier to survive and fight monsters in a group afterall.

They also tend to grow muscles and mature faster body-wise. In the sense that their strength develops sooner. They get stronger quicker and have heightened stamina. If it weren't for all the monsters going after them all the time they'd have a longer lifespan than mortals actually. Like 100 years at least.

2: Thoughts on freakouts and loss of control.

I think that they DEFINITELY happened and the camp counselors definitely were the ones dealing with them. (We all know Chiron and Mr D wouldn't do shit, let's be real). I think it often happened during nights from nightmares, especially with newer campers who haven't had time to get used to it all yet. That's why most of them happen in Hermes. Oftentimes they manifest in flare-outs of powers due to raw instincts (sorta like what Percy did to Clarisse and the other Ares kids in TLT when they wanted to dunk him in the toilet). The best way to deal with it is to dodge and comfort them. Luke has more than a few scars from times where he couldn't dodge fast enough and took the brunt of the flare-out. He never blamed the children though for when it happened. If it happens in the mortal world it's generally hidden by the mist, which protects the demigods somewhat. Camp places a LOT of emphasis on quickly learning to regulate any power they recognize in demigods to avoid things like that happening in the mortal world.

1. poutine 😭😭 srry most canadian thing of me ig but it’s so yummy to meee !!!! its v easy to make as well which also would add to the ease of being able to enjoy it. if i order it somewhere i like to have cheese curds but at home i just use shredded cheese. also for any canadians out there i think my fave fast food places to get it is either harveys or mary browns. they are both sooo good.

2. chicken korma omggggg its so soft and tender…….. makes my mouth water just thinking about it… it’s always such a treat for me when i order it because it just tastes SO good and ik i already said but it’s so tender… i could cry even 😭😭

3. korean style fried rice— there’s obv so many ways to make smth like this but i personally like it with spam and egg the best :DD sometimes i use chicken too but mainly spam…. i like kimchi friend rice too but without kimchi i prefer more bc altho i like kimchi i’m not a fan of the texture of cabbage kimchi !! i haven’t tried radish kimchi but i think i’d like that more :p but anyways yea back to fried rice, must have looooots of gochujang bc i love spicy food c: i make it all the time i rlly can’t get enough of it— it’s very fun and very easy to make too

4. japanese beef or chicken curry…. i rlly like the golden curry brand to make at home !! i’m actually planning to make some hopefully this week lol. it tastes so good and once again i like the spicier ones cc: i love all curries in general tho they make me… so happy. i could eat curry every single day frfr. curry and rice is my best friend <3

so the boyf n i have this thing where if one sends hearts the other responds with one more than the original. last night he didnt respond to my hearts just to my next message. thats okay he was tiredorino.

TARG LEMURS??? What's your thoughts on this? I'm guessing it symbolizes the Westerosi Houses (Baratheons and Lannisters) and is foreshadowing her return? (1/2)

(2/2) My guesses as far as possible symbolism goes are this: the tigers and elk (Baratheons and Lannisters) ran from Dany's forces (the Dothraki) so that could foreshadow her return to the West/her battling them? But she barely got to look at the animals before they ran off, so could that foreshadow her not being in Westeros long (like, returning to Essos), or dying in Westeros? ;__;

So while she goes West for a while & helps with the LN/rules, she has the epiphany that she was trying to reclaim the IT for her family, not for her OWN happiness, and that her true home is Essos. I think of that line abt her wanting to be a sailor as a child; she craves domesticity, but has become more than that for the sake of others, to help them. (1/2)

(2/2) So I think a good ending for her is to get what she truly wants, after sacrificing her happiness for so long; a house with a red door, literally or metaphorical, that simple life she's always wanted: a home. Basically the reward of being able to rest after she has labored and did her duty as queen: freeing slaves, giving so much, etc, etc. I can just see her in this quiet, beautiful Essosi meadow where she's settled down with her closest friends and it just makes me so emotional. As for the Lemurs, Elk and Spotted Tigers being foreshadow for Daenerys choosing to leave Westeros and go back to Essos, I don’t know if I can say that I agree or disagree. I think it’s an interesting portion that grrm put into her story, but I don’t know if it means anything in terms of her endgame.

I’m on the same page with you where I want nothing more than for Daenerys to just be happy and free and surrounded by loved ones.

But Daenerys has an obligation.

Daenerys isn’t throne crazy and she isn’t power hungry like a lot like to paint her as. In fact, she wants nothing more than to go find the house with the red door, be simple common folk and be man and wife with Daario. Daenerys believed in Viserys once, her brother, her King, the true heir to the iron throne, but he died, and that responsibility fell to her.

“I was alone for a long time, Jorah. All alone but for my brother. I was such a small scared thing. Viserysshould have protected me, but instead he hurt me and scared me worse. She doesn’t want the throne simply to have the throne, she wants the throne because she wants to help people. That’s who Daenerys is at her core, someone who just wants to help and protect people. She would abandon this quest for the throne if she could, but since it fell into her lap as the last Targaryen, and she has the willpower and the means to attain it, she knows that she must fulfill this quest or else all these people would continue to be murdered, enslaved, raped and harmed by those who are in power.

What’s so funny about 8.05 is that Daenerys said, “I have no love here, I only have fear.” which is such bullshit, considering they killed off those who did love her, because book!daenerys is used to be mocked, scorned and unloved. She is constantly surrounded by enemies because she’s the single thing standing in between a predator (slavers) and their prey (freed slaves). We see this when she is Khaleesi and stops the Khalassar men from raping the goat girls and women, when she brings them under her protection she’s cursed at and spat at. We see this when she frees the cities, because the slavers then form the Harpy to reclaim their slaves. Daenerys Targaryen isn’t unaccustomed to these things. She’s used to this kind of behavior, she’s used to this kind of treatment, it doesn’t deter her at all, because she knows that no one else will do what she is willing to do.

Dany agrees to marry a man she hates and sacrifices her happiness for the sake of her people:

Her desires and her wishes aren’t matched to her desire and need to protect people. Even in the most recent book, we see that Daenerys wants to simply be a young carefree girl who’s in love, but she can’t, because she has a duty.

She would rather have drifted in the fragrant pool all day, eating iced fruit off silver trays and dreaming of a house with a red door, but a queen belongs to her people, not to herself. - Daenerys IX ADWD

Daenerys duty is to her people above all else. If the people don’t want her help, she won’t leave them still. Regardless of her own desires, her own needs, her own dreams, her duty is to the people who need her.

I agree with you, I want nothing more than for her to say ‘fuck this shit I’m out,’ but she won't, because she's not the kind of person to abandon those in need, as Tyrion said, she is an all above rescuer.

ok so I've been thinking of a BOTW au (if it isn't obvious I'm the BOTW anon) where Steven is Princess (Prince???) Zelda, with Connie as his loyal assigned knight, and Calamity Ganon as Kaiju!Steven/the corruption. the monsters are corrupted gems and the Hylians are humans, and I've been trying to figure out who the other races/champions should be, and i think i got it. i decided that the Champions are the Diamonds and the races are their courts [1.]

YD is Urbosa with her court as the Gerudo, BD is Mipha with her court as the Zora, WD as Revali with her court as the Rito (this one didn't really fit but the other ones do so :/), and PD as Daruk with her court as the Gorons. I've also thought about the goddess Hylia being Rose and the Sheikah being the Crystal Gems. [2.]

the reason i chose Daruk instead of Mipha as PD is because of his shield, though Mipha also fits because she heals, but where would that put BD? the closest race she fits with is the Zora because they, again, are aquatic, and BD has some form of water powers. YD was the easiest because Urbosa's power was electricity. WD i had the most trouble with because she just didn't fit with any of them, and the Rito were the only ones left [3.]

oh yeah Lion's in there too, he's probably a horse or something. maybe he's a nice Lynel, because they can teleport (sometimes) and are also lion themed? idk there aren't any nice Lynels in the game, they all try to kill you and you can't tame them so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ [4.]

srry for spamming you i swear I'm almost done. also i forgot the Guardians so maybe they're like, gem tech or something. and i think that the Malice should be Corruption, and Steven tries to contain it inside Hyrule Castle until Connie can use her Special Sword (idk what it would be called, would it still be the Master Sword?) to defeat it with the help of the Divine Beasts (the Diamond Ships). Steven puts Connie in stasis for 100 years so she can recover, but in doing so she loses her memories and has to regain them through the people and places she visits in her adventure. the Corruption uses Steven as a vessel and turns him into Kaiju, like in the final boss battle with Calamity Ganon. once it's defeated by Connie, Steven is freed, and bubbles it, locking it away for good. the end [7.]
