@tracle0 that gryphon art you tagged me in sparked a little research excursion and I now have gryphons in LofM! Do you remember my little soot dragon? Sadly, they don't feature anymore, because little gryphons have replaced them.

I do still have dragons, but I'll be saving the soot dragons for a different story (sequel, maybe? Or different universe altogether, I haven't decided!) The gryphons are more in line with the origin myths and folklore and history I'm pulling from than the somewhat western dragons I was envisioning :]

i really really love leonardo romero's inks and jordie bellaire's colors from the "i am the gun" mini telling the zur-en arrh backstory (in batman issues #128-130), so this is another loose style study

i had this frame in mind specifically, altho i couldnt quite commit to the hard inks

ALSO the concept was loosely based off the issues in legacy ('tec (1940) #698-99) where tim goes undercover and then gets nabbed by lockup and his comm cuts off in the middle of telling nightwing what's going on, which also gave us this great (but misleading) cover

You said that none of Timmy family and friends noticed he's been replaced with Chimmy Changa. Could this imply that his enemies might notice something is up? Either:

1. Timmy's been acting weird I GOTTA figure out what's going on. (Crooker? DINKLEBURGGGGG!)

2. This brat isn't fun to threaten/torture Imma find a new target (Vicki, France?)

But these are humans. Would his non-humans allies/enemies notice? Mark Chang, Dark Laser, Gary?

Enemies? Who would have beef with a 10 year old kid?? Besides his own parents, that is.

Dark Laser and Gary were originally wishes. When Timmy became a fairy, he converted all of his unwishes into his changeling, so they no longer have corporal forms. They're just energy to keep his changeling functional.

Im so used to the red head human ninjanomicon that I haven't even considered a cryptid version of them! But just to stop being so curious... what would your boy-toy version of the nomicon be?

Man, I'm too used to the iconic red-headed versions too! so its really hard coming up with an interesting design, but i had a burst of inspiration recently, so i decided to have a go on it ;D

Mostly based on my cryptid version, which i just recently realized is very akatsuki inspired so im ngl i think i also accidently uchiha-ed this human version 😂😂😂

its mostly a modern version, but if it was more like cryptid it would look something like this i guess?? 😆
